Inability (or, as Healing proceeds, difficulty) to Distinguish the Present Moment from Regression is a prominent feature of PTSD, and Trauma isn’t just for soldiers.  Trauma can have Acute (a Soul-Shaking single event such as an IED) or Chronic (Repeated Abuse that would have less impact as a single event, but has cumulative impact that’s Serious) Sources.  Some Tapping practitioners are trained in dealing with PTSD.  In Self-Judgment and Self-Love (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2019/01/13/self-judgment-and-self-love/) we introduced Gary Craig’s (Tapping’s Founder) impressive work with PTSD.

I see that more folks than usual are up late looking for answers.  At the risk of sounding oversimple, it probably wouldn’t hurt to review the equations in Einstein’s famous Theory of Relativity…

  • Fear + Courage = Perspective
  • Fear + Breathing = Excitement
  • Fear + Tapping = Grounding
  • Fear + Kegels = Power
  • Anxiety + Poor-Sweethearting = Detachment

I often write late at night, and I used to live in a basement apartment.  While writing I would sometimes feel the hairs on the back of my neck rising, as if someone was just outside my curtained windows looking for an opening.  One night I gathered up my courage and flung open the door – to find a Glorious Full Moon staring at me from the Darkness!

Another time I lived in a creaky old house, and I was alone in the house, in my bedroom with the door shut, when a series of creaks and groans sounded for all the world like someone sneaking up to my door.  Again I flung open the door – and found myself staring at a wardrobe mirror leaning against the wall in the hall, just outside my door.  Now that was scary!  “We have found the Enemy…” as Pogo used to say.

Dr. Kim includes Tapping in many of these videos.  One of the first things we do in serious Fear is Leave Our Body.  Tapping (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVd6Ww0as4) can bring us back in.  In some sense, Leaving our Body is an effective strategy – if someone is about to kill us, we’re already gone, so there isn’t much else they can do to hurt us.  But it may help create a lousy next Lifetime, if we re-enter as a Terrified, Implacable Child.  We have more tools at our disposal when we stay in our Body, or get back In.

I’ve mentioned my Kegels story before, so humor me while I repeat it.  I Learned about Fear and Kegels in a workshop with Jack Schwarz (http://holisticu.org/).  Quite innocently, I went to see the movie Aliens after the workshop.  If you haven’t seen it, the Fear level goes off the charts after a few minutes, and never comes back down till a few minutes before the end of the movie.  Having just Learned it, I was doing Kegels like mad all through the movie – two hours of solid Kegeling!

Jack taught that Kegels Slow Down Time.  If Fear is coming at you at 2mph, it’s a lot easier to handle than at 60mph.  Between the movie theater and where I lived was a mile-long bridge, and after the movie it took me absolutely Forever to cross that bridge!  In that mile I looked at my speedometer maybe ten times, and it kept saying 40mph, but the bridge wouldn’t go away.  It was like being in the Twilight Zone.  I’ve never heard anyone mention Kegels in connection with sports, but I now understand how someone can hit an 80mph curveball.  Sports often refers to it as being “In the Zone.”

And once we’ve determined that our Fear or Agitation is not Present-Moment, or that we aren’t in Imminent Danger, we can say to ourself, “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Anxious, aren’t you.”  Or “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Worried about that deadline, aren’t you.”  As Quilless testified in her Comment to Kegels 4, she “experienced notable Shifts” when she Poor-Sweethearted herself.  It’s a remarkably simple and Powerful technique.

We don’t Leave our Body when we Poor-Sweetheart, but we certainly Leave our Ego, or rather, switch Horses to a different Ego.  It’s basically a Shift into Self-Love.  It’s particularly effective with Anxiety and Worry, because those are markers for being Out Of Self-Love and Questioning our own Competence.  Every Experience is an Opportunity to Learn something Life-Changing.  What if we started every morning with “I Wonder What Wonderful Life-Changing Things I’ll Learn Today.”

One thing I Learned today is that I can afford to be even more Assertive about shunting my Shoulds to the side to make more room for my Wannas.  I tried to work on a big project that’s due next week, and got nowhere, wasting several unproductive hours in the process.  Even when I Noticed how much more Anxiety was involved in having to do everything myself, and PIAVAed help from the Great Spirit and Her Designees, I got nowhere!  So I got the message, Gave It Over, and dove Joyfully into my Wannas.

Considering that Sedna (Fear/Power) is Stationary (Strong) within an eighth of a Degree of the Fixed Star Algol (the Eye of Medusa), we need to review the status of Gender Balance in the World this week.  I think this sums it up fairly well…

Manipulating the “Real” World

A friend has lost their Cat Mowser, and I’ve been coaching them on using Theta Healing (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2015/11/02/piavac/) and Tapping (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVd6Ww0as4) together.  Yesterday they wrote…

“So are you Adept at the Technique enough to bring Mowser home safely?  ‘Cause what I’m doing ain’t worked yet.”

The technique of toggling between Tapping and Theta-ing is Powerful for manipulating our own Expectations, which have a Powerful influence on our Realities.  Turning Lead into Gold is a different issue. 

  • Today, when I Theta that Mowser be Safe, the Picture I get is that She’s quite content.
  • When I Theta that Mowser Come Home, I actually get a picture of Her casually walking through the door as if nothing has happened.

How do we interpret that?

  • When I Theta that Mowser be Safe in 3D, I get Confusion.
  • So (after Celebrating Confusion for a moment) I Tap on Confusion about Mowser.
  • Then I Theta again on Mowser’s Safety in 3D, and the picture I get is that She’s happy.

If I interpret that literally, maybe a neighbor is making Her offers She can’t Refuse.  Or of course that She’s Successfully moved to another Lifetime.  But I don’t want to give my friend false hope.

My Motives (Passion in the situation in other words) are different from my friend’s, and that could easily be influencing my Prayers.  My Conscious Motives are to Teach my friend what I Know, to Ease their Path, to do what I can to help a Magical Being (Cat) continue to Have a Good Time, and in general to reduce Suffering to the extent that it doesn’t Inhibit the Growth we all need so desperately.

I don’t use Theta to Control “Reality” per se, but more to Orient myself Relative to It.  For instance, I must have bad Car-ma, cuz when contemplating a car trip I often spontaneously visualize the worst.  So I Theta a Safe Trip and a Safe Return, and if I get a picture of myself sitting back at home, I can just drop my Anxiety.  If I don’t, then I Tap on my Anxiety, then Theta again.  If I can’t get a Clear picture of returning Safely home, then I imagine Changing my route or timing and check that out.  So I use it more as a check on the ongoing struggle between my Intuition and my Karma than to Change “what I can’t Control” (that is, what ain’t me).

So what I recommend is that my friend examine their own Motives, and their degree of Passion in each.  I would imagine that their list includes at least Mowser’s Well-Being, Avoiding Grief, and Wanting Mowser to be Free of Suffering.  Maybe a high priority is just getting Mowser back in my friend’s arms, because that gives them such Comfort. 

I Believe that we Manifest most Effectively when we’re Passionate AND Neutral.  Sounds like an oxymoron, but that’s Duality, and Reality is Unitary and Multifarious, not Dual.  When we’re Passionate and Not Neutral, we Project our Wants into situations that Look Like our Wants but aren’t, then get Disappointed when the Illusion breaks.  When we’re Neutral and Not Passionate, we don’t really care.  When we’re Passionate and Neutral, we Persevere at Striving for What We Want, and we’re constantly Attentive to Opportunities to improve the “Techniques” we use to Manifest.

Like it or not, we end up being Passionate and Neutral about our Deepest Desires, and about Resolving our T-Squares.  In both cases our Passion isn’t Optional, we’re Driven, and we eventually get to Neutrality after trying all other Options.

So I’ll Ask my friend to Review their Neutrality on each of their Motives, and Tap Out any non-Neutrality that they find.  They may also want to Theta Clarity on whether Mowser will be coming home in Her current (or most recent, in our Timeline) Lifetime.  If so, they can Theta Clarity about where to Look.  If not, they can get on with their Grief and move on to their next-best Reality.

A different friend lost their Beloved Cat, only to find themself later being Adopted by a Cat that was an obvious Reincarnation of the Original.

Tapping and Affirmation

I think this is worthy of General Consumption.  Only about ten percent of you seem to follow the Comments, and QuillessBending has Commented that…

“As for what we say while we tap, I also tend to go for positive affirmation sort of thoughts instead of focusing on the negative feeling… which doesn’t always need to be twisted into words… but something like ‘I am worthy of having my needs taken care of’ or ‘I am perfectly safe and bolstered by the universe, and all is well,’ that sort of stuff.  It really depends on which way the emotional wave may be taking me.  If the goal is to fully accept ourselves, then we accept ourselves whether we are looking right, left, up, down, or are totally confused.”

To which I Replied, more or less…

The Pudding (as in “the Proof is in the”) would be whether it works.

I use whatever Negative thing I’m Feeling or Imagining as my Tapping phrase under the theory that by Aligning the Meridians with The-Truth-About-What-I’m-Feeling, the Negativity will be Resolved, and the Apparent Truth that Nothing Changes Until It Is Fully Accepted Exactly As It Is.

So I might be Tapping on “Even though I’m Scared, I Deeply and Completely Love and Accept Myself.”  But before I start Tapping I Ask myself, “How Scared Am I?” on the usual 1-10 scale.  Then I Ask the same question again after Tapping.  If I’m less scared, then the Tapping worked.

There is another advantage here; we’re Affirming that we Love ourself Unconditionally even while we’re Feeling untoward.  I haven’t figured out how to factor that into Tapping on a positive Affirmation, though in general it suggests that QuillessBending may be ahead of me here.

Since most of the time when I use Tapping this way it works very well, this is how I use Tapping, when I’m Feeling untoward.  So I Trust it.  If it doesn’t work, I Trust it enough to assume I’m not reading my Emotions correctly, so I change my phrase a little and try again.  And of course, always, if it doesn’t work enough, then I Tap again.

Tapping on “I am Worthy…,” we might Ask ourself, “How Worthy do I Feel right now?” and then Ask again after Tapping.  If our Feeling of Worthiness has increased, then Bravo! – we’re onto something.  Some Tapping pros start with the Negative and gradually shift into the Positive.

I don’t use Tapping on Affirmations, so I don’t know if it would work for me.  I’ll play with it.  My first few clumsy tries with it leave me very Confused, which is a good place to be, if I can Avoid putting it all back in the Birdcage.

The birth of the Creator within me was far greater than any experience of connection with the Creator I had previously experienced.  I discovered my self as a true expression of the Creator, feeling myself adopting the power to inspire the awakening of the Creator within others.  My journey continued to deepen into the depths of the Creator within me, and so my pathways before me became an expression of the Creator, filled with clarity, direction, peace and meaning. 

“Invite me forth to walk beside you and direct your attention to what inspires you within and around your being.”

It’s important to remember that the first stages of Growth are Noticing and Confusion.  So when the Alignment of our Ego to any Negative Aspects of Survival begins to Dissolve, the first thing we may Notice is that we’re Aligned with a negative Aspect of Survival.  We may React negatively to this Noticing, which can work as a Resistance to our Liberation.  If we Remember what we’ve Invited St. Germain to help us with (a PIAVA really) and Respond positively instead, it will accelerate our Growth.

It’s the difference between “Oh Shit, they’re raising the rent!” and Aha, there’s another Temptation to Feed the Negativity in the Universe – Thank God I’m Letting Go of Negativity!  I Congratulate myself for Noticing the Temptation.  I don’t know where the money will come from, but I’m going to Tap Out my Fear and Trust that it will come from somewhere!”  You may need to Tap on that many times to dissolve the Doubt, which may arise many times.  But that’s the path, and it’s your Persistence that will win the day.

Regression is a constant Barrier – when we Regress to the age or Lifetime where we first Learned Negativity, we often Forget the Skills we’ve Learned since.  If we get in the Habit of “Trying It [Tapping] on Everything,” like Nick Ortner and Gary Craig suggest (https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=92&v=YjjI3HioqJk), then it will increase the odds that we’ll Remember it when we’re Regressed.

St. Germain invites us to include “with ease and perfection support me” in our Invocation, which is fabulous, as an inclusion like this can reduce our Debilitation from Regression.  Similarly, we often suggest including “Lovingly and Gently” as part of our PIAVAs.  Nevertheless, until we Learn to Notice that we’ve left the Present Moment and Celebrate the Noticing, Regression remains the greatest Inhibition to Letting Go of our Limiting Beliefs.  Fortunately, the sooner we Notice, the Easier it is to stay in the Present Moment, and the Easier that is, the quicker we Notice – it’s a Self-Reinforcing Virtuous Cycle.

Levels and Perspectives

I don’t think we’ve emphasized this Perspective recently, but it’s fundamental, so worth repeating.  This culture commonly Perceives Mentality, Emotionality, Spirituality, and Physicality as different Levels or Departments of Experience.  We don’t mean to imply that these are the only Departments – at the very least we need to add Energy, for instance.

Simply put, these are not different Levels or Departments.  They’re different Perspectives on our Unitary Experience of being in a Physical Body.

Imagine that you’re standing on a Ridge, waving at the camera.  You’ll look different…

  • to an observer a few feet in front of you
  • to an an observer several yards behind you
  • to an observer at the top of the Peak
  • to an observer falling off the Ridge while stepping back a few feet so they can capture your profile

Experience is One Unified Thing.  It’s only a mental game to try to reduce it into separate “components.”  Body, Spirit, Emotion, Mind, and Energy are just different snapshots of the same One Thing, seen from different angles.

We quoted Stephen Levine recently, where he was reading the Emotional state of his Inner Child by Attending to the Physical Sensations in his Body.  You’ve undoubtedly heard Stories about Physical-Healing “Miracles” perpetrated through the Spiritual or Dietary Perspectives – “Spontaneous Remissions” as the Scienteriffic types have to call it to preserve their precious Reductive Worldview and prevent Cognitive Dissonance.  Dr. Kim (http://drkimderamo.com/) talks about the crossover between Perspectives (fka Levels) all the time.  

Donna Eden and David Feinstein (http://www.innersource.net/) have been teaching and writing about this for decades.  If you haven’t had experiences where you’ve, just as a for-instance, resolved Emotional Overwhelm by Tapping on Energy Meridians on the Body, you haven’t “Tried It on Everything” (http://www.thetappingsolution.com/) yet.

Here’s an excerpt from a Channeling where Daniel Scranton talks about this…

“You then move past the emotional awakening and into the energetic awakening.  The energetic awakening is often felt as strange occurrences in your bodies.  It is also something that you sense.  It is awakening to your empathic nature.  It is an awakening of the consciousness that you are and that you use to navigate through this reality.

“And then you have your physical awakening, which can be the most troubling of all the awakenings, because you have been taught that when this, that or the other thing happens to your physical body, it means you are on a gradual decline.  It may mean that you need surgery or pills to cure it.  This is what you have been told, but it is not the truth.  It is not a truth that you need to accept.

“So when you have your ascension symptoms in your physical body, that is a test of your faith.  It’s not a test that you have to pass, but rather, it’s an opportunity for you to take all that you have learned in your previous awakenings and apply it to your experience of your physical body.  And when you do this, you can move through the physical awakening without needing to subject yourselves to some of what the health care professionals would have you subject yourselves to.

“You always have the option of working energetically, emotionally, and with your thoughts to work through the physical experiences that you have of awakening.  If you see them as experiences and as sensations, rather than as symptoms of a larger problem, you will be well on your way to releasing them and to being fully in your bodies, embracing your bodies, and navigating with your bodies to the fifth dimension.”

Anxiety, Judgment, Fear

The Mind is Dualistic.  No Blame, that’s just what it does for a Living.  It will always trap us in Either/Ors that will either end up as Anxiety…

“You poor Sweetheart, you’re really Nervous, aren’t you.  Great Spirit, may we please have Peace and Clarity?”

Or as Judgment – neither of which is Unconditional Love or Permanent Curiosity, our most productive Perspectives…

“You poor Sweetheart, you’re in Judgment, aren’t you.  I Wonder how we could get to Acceptance or Forgiveness and still Feel Safe.”

Both of which are probably fed by Unconscious Fear…

“You poor Sweetheart, do you Feel Scared?  Can I Visualize Safety for us in these circumstances?”

Then of course we’d have to Change the Subject.  Our “You poor Sweetheart…”s can move our Identity out of Chagrin and into Empathy for ourself.  But it may not necessarily quiet intense Unpleasant Emotions.  For that we want to Tap ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVd6Ww0as4 )…

If you aren’t familiar with Tapping, do watch the YouTube video.  It’s easy to Learn and Remember, and it has profound impact.  Before and after you Tap, measure your Emotional Load on the scale of 1 to 10, so you can witness Changes.  If you don’t work down to near zero, Tap again…

“Even though I still Feel [Anxious] [Judgmental] [Scared] […], I deeply and completely Love and Accept myself …”

Let your Story evolve; it might be “Anxious” one minute and “Uptight” the next.  “Sick with Fear” on one pass and “Worried About” the next.  Let it evolve from one Tapping Point to the next if you want.

For the sake of “argument,” suppose you had to fight someone.  Let’s say you were the alpha Wolf or Stag and had to Defend your position, or you were a Mother and had to Defend your Children.  If you go into the fight with so much Anger that you’re just flailing in Rage, or so much Fear that you’re Frozen, you probably won’t do as well.  Even if you hadn’t Learned and Practiced how to fight, you’d be better off to be Calm and Conscious.  You might even remember to do Kegels so you could slow Time down and make your antagonist’s blows easier to dodge, Aikido-style.

I don’t advocate fighting, but it’s a good example of how we’re almost always better off starting from Detachment than we would be if we start from Deep Attachment.  

A reader asks…

“You mention tapping a lot, is it possible to occasioinaly give us a few points to tap that are relevant to the particular archetype the stars are highlighting for us to release?  I’m sure everyone is going thru intense emotions as these things come up for release – some guidance on effective points would be really appreciated.”

I’m not an Acupuncturist, but the purpose of Tapping is to Balance All the Meridians, so I’m not entirely sure Tapping one more than another would, in general, be a good plan, and the Intellect is probably not the best vehicle for favoring one Point over another.  You can always measure your Emotional Load (on the 1-10 scale) between each Tapping Point, to see if one of them makes a bigger difference than the others.  Often I find my Emotional Load decreases sharply just by Tapping the Karate-Chop point and saying the starting phrase, for instance.  

And I very much doubt that any given Acupressure point would be flagged for everyone based on the Energy signified by the planets.  A Mercury Station, for instance, might Awaken or Sharpen one person’s Mind or Communication Channels, Overload the next person’s producing Anxiety, and Overload a third person’s creating Space-Out.

If you want to get into the use of the individual Meridians, Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine is an excellent resource.  She maps out all the Meridians, and if one of them is Out of Balance, to Balance it she recommends tracing it on your body backwards once, then forward twice.  I occasionally get acid stomach, for instance, and if Dilution (drinking a glass of Water) doesn’t fix it, and a tablet of Betaine HCl doesn’t fix it (acid stomach usually results from too little stomach acid, not too much, so squelching the acid damages your health), tracing my Stomach Meridian backward once then forward twice always fixes it.

January, Week 2, Early

We are all Perps as much as we are Victims.  We are always In Balance; what Feels Out of Balance is Balanced by the Unconscious.  As a Victim, at the very least we are Perpetrating a toxic Lack of Self-Love upon our Victim Self.  Moving into Balance involves bringing the Unconscious Ballast into Consciousness.  We do that with a Searching and Fearless Inventory of what Frightens us – most especially Death, since most Fears reduce to that – Owning our Fears, and Empathizing with ourselves over them: “You poor Sweetheart, you’re really Scared of Death, aren’t you.”

That does two things; it gets us Honest with ourself so we no longer have to Protect ourself against what we Deny and Fear.  And it shifts our “Assemblage Point,” or Identity, from being in Fear to being in Compassion.  Examine the syntax…  

“I am Scared” literally means that Fear and I are Merged as One.

“I Feel Scared” means that I have Separated myself from my Fear far enough that I now Recognize it as an Emotion rather than a Reality.

“You poor Sweetheart, you’re Scared, aren’t you” means that I am now looking back at my (now formerly) Frightened self with Compassion.  You can shorten that last sentence to “I am … Compassion.”

This isn’t wordplay, this is quite Real.

Then we Tap ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVd6Ww0as4 ).  “Even though I’m Frightened by the Idea of Death, I deeply and completely Love and Accept myself.”  It’s the same process – your Identity Assemblage Point is shifting from “I am Fear” to “I am Feeling” to I am Self-Love.”  But with Tapping, you’re also programming your Energy Body, as you tap on the Acupressure points at the end of each Meridian.

Note that we took a detour there.  Instead of “Even though I’m Frightened by Death, I deeply and completely Love and Accept myself” we said “… I’m Frightened by the Idea of Death …” – which is actually usually the case.  So we go from “I am Fear” to “I am Thinking” to “I am Feeling” to “I am Self-Love.”

The two processes – “You poor Sweetheart…” and Tapping complement one another perfectly.  Tapping is Energy Medicine to calm your Emotions.  Calming your Emotions quiets the Vicious Circle of Thoughts that reinforce your Unpleasant Emotions.  “You poor Sweetheart…” puts you – your Identity, your Psychic Core – in a position to Recover the Abandoned parts of yourself that are Scared.  They’re Scared for good reason – they’ve been Abandoned, Banished.  Except in Primary Cultures where one Learns Self-Reliance as part of one’s Childhood, being Abandoned means Death.

Saying “Cancel, Neutralize, Upgrade” to yourself is similar, but starts in the mental.  You’re declaring your Intention (PIAVAing in other words) that your negative thoughts be Canceled, that their Vibration (Energy, Emotion) be Neutralized, and that you be Upgraded (into Self-Love).  Every Prayer is answered, and every thought is a Prayer.  Becoming Conscious of your Self-Sabotaging thoughts is an important part of bringing the Self into Balance so your Perp and your Victim Cancel one another Out like two identical sine waves that are perfectly out of phase ( if you’re interested in the science, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superposition_principle#Wave_interference ).

Helplessness and Powerlessness are Real, and it’s easy to be Victims of Helplessness and Powerlessness.  What is required is that we Be Responsible To – not For – our Helplessness and Powerlessness.

It’s not our Fault – that’s Blame, which is Looking to the Past to assign Fault.  We need to move to Responsibility, which involves Looking at the Future with the Intention of Changing Outcomes.  To be Responsible For something sounds a whole lot like being To Blame for it.  To be Responsible To something means that  we give it our Attention and Obedience.  What does it mean to be Responsible To our Powerlessness?

We can start by switching from “I am Powerless” to “I Feel Powerless.”  From there we can go to “You poor Sweetheart, you’re really Feeling Powerless, aren’t you.”  We may never have the Power to Change the World (though that’s debatable), but we always have the Power to Change our Relationship to the World.  Changing ourself is the onliest Power we have.  So we’re never actually Powerless.  

We may have to Break a lot of Habits and Tap Out a lot of Emotions to Create Significant Change, but we have the Power.  We just have to take the first step.  That’s how Habits are Changed, through Repetition, starting with the first step.

As adults, most of the time our Fear of Abandonment (which our Fear of Death usually reduces to) isn’t fully Present Time – though at least in the US, our modern neo-Dickensian Culture is in fact Abandoning us.  Most of our Fear of Abandonment is a regression to the Real Abandonment we Suffered as Children, when we really didn’t have the Skills to Survive on our own, so we had to depend upon our Abusers, even though we loathed our Abuse.

But guess what.  Even though we didn’t have the Power to Change our Abuse or our Abusers, we did have the Power to Change our Relationship to our Abuse, and we did just that.  We numbed out, we went into Denial, we Learned how to put on many of the Masks that we’ve been Taking Off lately.  Denial is a healthy psychological process.  It’s what we do with Overwhelm.  If we don’t have the Skill to deal with it otherwise, we Deny it.  It’s how we Survive, losing a battle but staying Alive to potentially win the war later.

Denial is Power, part of our Skillset.  So is bringing Ballast out of the Unconscious so we can Change our Relationship to it.  We Denied our Abandonment as Children, we Recover our Abandonment as adults, by bringing it into Consciousness where we can Recognize the chain of thoughts and Emotions that feed it, Own them, “You poor Sweetheart…” them, Cancel-Neutralize-Upgrade them, and Tap them Out.  Not always Easy, but we have to start somewhere.  It requires only Persistence, and our Abandonment is the best Motivation there is for Persistence.

We didn’t mention earlier that before it goes Stationary in a few hours (2am PST 8 January), Mercury sticks a toe back into Sagittarius.  There in the penultimate Degree of Sagittarius, it Conjoins Quaoar (Survival), Pholus (Full Responsibility), and the Galactic Center (Communique from Headquarters) – that’s where it is as I write this.

Another thing I forgot to mention, as by “coincidence” I didn’t notice it till now, is that Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs) is still Conjunct Varuna (the Life Force), which has dipped its toe back into Cancer.  So the Mercury Station is Quincunx (Curiosity) to Vesta-Varuna – in some Paradoxical and not-so-Paradoxical ways, our Epiphanies (Mercury Stationary) about Survival and Responsibility (Quaoar-Pholus) are closely Related to Letting Go of our Unconscious Beliefs that are Anti-Life -Beliefs that aren’t Self-Loving.

Remember too that Vesta was a corner of that Grand Quintile (Learning Opportunity) that we’re enjoying today.  So the GQ is…

  • Vesta-Varuna (Rooting out Anti-Life Unconscious Beliefs)
  • Hopi (Respect for All Things – including ourself)
  • Juno-Saturn-Ixion-Nemesis (Recovery of our Abandoned Genius and the Ego Deaths and Expansion of Consciousness that are necessary to get there)
  • Pallas-Venus-OR10-Nessus-South Node (Irruption of Current- and Past-Life Memories of Abuse and the Setting of Boundaries against same)
  • Moon (Authenticity)

We’re Learning about how all of these things are Related.  How long does this Grand Quincunx stay with us?  Well, the Moon is the obvious “weak link,” as moving about half a Degree per hour, it will only stay in the GQ for about half a day (using our usual three Degrees of Sensitivity, plus another three Degrees to traverse the Angle to the Ixion and Nessus Stellia).

But even without the Moon in the GQ, we have four of the five corners of the Pentagram, which makes the Strongest point of the almost-GQ the Vacancy that the Moon temporarily occupies today.  

That position is the Midpoint of Taurus, one of the four Power Points of the Zodiac, aka the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.  Prior to our current Precession of the Equinoxes, these were the locations of the four Royal Stars of Persia.  In mid-Taurus Aldebaran, greatest Star of all, heralded the Persian Spring, and signified Success as long as strict Integrity and Honor was followed – our Authenticity corner in the GQ.

Today, post-Precession, the Star Menkar – A Victim of the Unconscious – occupies the Midpoint of Taurus.  I’m not making this up; check Solar Fire or Bernadette Brady!  What a “coincidence,” that [Liberation from] our Victimhood by the Perp in the Unconscious occupies this Location.  The Unconscious is non-Dual; in the Unconscious Victimhood and Liberation from Victimhood are the same Energy, differing only by whether heads or tails is showing.  As Conscious Beings we have the Power to Choose, so I Choose Liberation.

The other “weak link” in the GQ is asteroid Hopi.  As an asteroid, it would normally vacate its position in about two weeks.  But Hopi turns Retrograde on 24 January, so Hopi remains within Sensitivity from December through February at the very least.  There are very slow-moving “planets” in all of the other corners – Varuna, Ixion, OR10, and Menkar, which moves only at the speed of Precession.
