I always make a lot more sense when I’m answering a direct question. Tonight my wife asked me what was going on astrologically for Halloween…

The 2020 Halloween Blue Moon Full Moon is a Stand-In for the Big Event of next Tuesday, which is when dwarf planet Varuna is Max Strong. The Full Moon is Crossing Stationary Varuna as we speak. Varuna is the Life Force. Will we still have Health Care (even if it’s mostly Care for the Cartel’s wallets, alotta people depend on it) after the Election next week? Will we Survive the Carumbavirus? Will we be able to make rent and eat? Basic stuff, very First-Chakra. You’re Feeling it already.

Meanwhile, Mercury – Mental Noise – is Lit Up on Tuesday as well. So most people are paying more Attention to the Brainrattling than the real Survival Issue, and the Antichrist is a Master at Brainrattling. Then Tuesday evening the Moon goes Outabounds, till Friday, so everybody’s gonna be Freaking Out. As soon as Varuna calms down early Wednesday afternoon, asteroid Hopi takes over (Standing Still early Saturday Morning). Hopi means Respect for All Things. So the Minorities who really take the Brunt of the American Compete-Or-Die Ethic as the Poster Children for Varuna will be Lit Up because the Cops will stand behind the AK47-toting White Supremacists as they giddily shoot anybody with a BLM sign.

Then early in the week after the Election, Ceres = Sustainability enters Pisces. You can already hear the Gnashing of Teeth as Pisces over-emotionalizes Predatory Capitalism’s total lack of Sustainability. And it’s about time somebody did, because it’s Killing All of Us and the Planet too. But the Tuesday after the Big Day, Eurydike = Trust enters Leo= Confidence, making for a huge Contrast. That’s probably when we’ll get the first hint of whether there was any legitimacy to the Election, or at least a few numbers. It’s not till the 18th that Eurydike Stands Still though, so Confusion will continue to Reign until then as Teeth-Gnashing and Confidence Compete for the Dewey headlines.

But just because Eurydike in Leo is Strong, doesn’t mean that Trust rules the day, as the Moon goes Outabounds again from November 16th to the 19th, so everyone’s Emotions are End-of-the-World riled. The 19th is kind of a watershed day, as asteroid Moira moves into Capricorn. Moira is about Fate and Choice. When our Karma is Unconscious, it’s our Fate, we just sleepwalk it. Once we bring it in Consciousness, we have Choice and we can do anything we want. “What, Karma? Don’t be silly – Been there Done that! I’m Outa Here.”

If there’s Civil War to any extent, Remember that you don’t have to Play. You can Choose to be Separate from it.

Moira will separate the Teeth-Gnashers from the AK47-Egos from the folks who will just be Pragmatically (Capricorn) Choosing (Conscious Moira) to make the Best of Whatever’s Going Down. Except…

On the 22nd, dwarf planet Nessus, which is about Abuse and Privilege, is Max Strong (Stationary), and on the 20th dwarf planet Gonggong (no kidding, there really is a dwarf planet Gonggong!), which is about Intrusive Memories, is Max Strong. So everyone’s going to be Regressing into their best Halloween Victim Disguises, Projecting all of the Abuse they’ve ever Received into whatever’s going on in the Present Moment. Meanwhile the Privileged 1% will inhabit their own Paranoid They’re going to take my Money (and probably my Guns unless I shoot first) Victim Acts. The Privileged 1% of course own all of the Supreme Court now, so we can’t expect Daddy to Rescue us.

But then on (actually, until) the 28th, Neptune goes Max Strong. Neptune means Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity, so Confusion will Reign in the fourth week of November. But mid-week, Eurydike=Trust backs out of Leo, leaving the strutting Confidence-Gamers with their pants around their ankles and their day-of-the-week underwear exposed. A few hours later on the 25th, asteroid Sappho finally leaves Scorpio for Sagittarius, and we get to stop hunting that mouse in the garage (our Impediments to Unconditional Self-Love = Sappho) with the shotgun (Scorpio) and just Begin to Surrender into it (Sadge).

Giving us a possibility of a reasonably Peaceful Thanksgiving (in the US). The day after Thanksgiving, though, asteroid Atropos goes Max Strong, and Atropos is about Letting Go of Karmic Patterns. If we’re Aware that this is going on, we can Thank Them for Their Service and Wish Them Success in Crippling Other People’s Futures as they saunter off down the road, and then Celebrate our newfound Liberation!

How many of us will actually be doing that though? Letting Go of Karma is Scary, because it’s all we know, it’s what we’ve been Living All of Our Life. We don’t know what to do with the Blank Space that’s left behind, and with Neptune Max Strong, the only thing we’ll be able to Celebrate is Confusion. Which is a fabulous Habit to make, because Confusion is the first stage of Growth. And of course we could Celebrate the Spiritual Clarity, if we’re willing to seek it or let it find us.

Kind of a Blockbuster month, wasn’t it.

Before we dive into it, you might want to Resolve to Avoid Ego-Identifying with all the Sturm und Drang und Drama, and spend November Passively Observing Who You Actually Are. Not just What am I Thinking and Feeling about all this Intense Drama, but also, WHO IS IT that’s doing this Thinking and Feeling? Forget all the Adjectives that come to mind – that’s just more Thinking. What if you were a very small Entity hanging out somewhere Inside your Body? Where would that Be? Would “It” move around to different places, or would “It” have a favorite hangout? (At this level it may not be a She or a He.) Or what if It was a very large Energy Field Surrounding your Body? How Big would that be? How is It Connected to your Body?

But it ain’t over yet. There are two more oh-so-relevant astroevents on November 29th. First asteroid Vesta, which symbolizes our Unconscious Limitations, Merges with dwarf planet Orcus, which is about Oath-Making and Oath-Breaking. It turns out that our Unconscious Limitations are the result of Oaths or Vows or Promises or even Decisions that we made in Other Lifetimes. As we discussed at length in the previous post, our Self-Limiting Beliefs will be Lit Up for several months so we can Recognize that That Ain’t Really Us and Choose to be Someone Else.

So on the 29th, and in the week or so leading up to it, our Limited Beliefs will Meet Their Makers. If we Forget that It’s about Letting Go, it’ll be really Easy to instead Grab them, because they’ll be so Familiar and therefore so Comfortable. We just need to Remember that any time Limitation or Bummers arise, Let Them Go. You don’t need to Understand anything, you can just Let It Go. If you can’t Remember what it was a few minutes later, that’s fabulous, you’ve indeed Let It Go.

And on the 29th, asteroid Karma (you can imagine what it symbolizes) moves into Virgo till 23 January. We don’t Let Go of Karma without an Ego Death, because if we weren’t Ego-Attached to it, it wouldn’t be Karma. And the Essence of Virgo is Ego Death. So this will be a Nightmare of Struggles if we Resist it. Don’t. You go to visit a friend and you don’t recognize their street. You wake up and you can’t Remember your Passwords. You Forget people’s names, even your friends and colleagues. You can’t recall how to hold a fork, for God’s sake! Those are Signs of Ego Death. Celebrate them.

Those are gentle Ego Deaths, the kind that arise after you’ve Realized you’re up against your own Limitations, and you’ve Prayed to Let Them Go in some way or another. The not-so-gentle Ego Deaths are times like when you get really Angry when someone Insults you, even inadvertently (I’m being kinda flippant in this post, a lot less careful with my Language than usual – I may have Insulted you several times already!). Or you get really Embarrassed when you Forget your boss’s name, and there’s no way your boss is every going to know what an Ego Death is, and you go away in Shame.

Unpleasant Emotions like Anger and Shame and Grief and Sorrow are clues that you’re approaching an Ego Death, and you have the Option of Choosing it – by Lovingly Embracing the Unpleasant Emotion in your Body, or Rejecting it – by Thinking yourself more Deeply into the Anger or Shame or Grief or Sorrow. No Self-Blame though – we need to Think ourself Deep enough into the Unpleasant Emotion to be able to Know what we’re Embracing. Embracing the name of an Emotion is Just Thinking, not an Ego Death at all, though using that as a Mantra might invoke the Emotion.

Asteroid Karma returns to Virgo in June, July, and August for the real Work, the December-January Teaser is just an introduction. Between February and May it’s Dodging back deep into Leo, to gather up more Limitations that you can Ego-Death into Has-Beens.

Full House Lunar Eclipse

Finally, in the 10pm PDT 4 July 2020 Full Moon Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in 14 Capricorn – and the Emphasis we Experience on Sustainability we’ll Feel till at least 9pm PDT 6 July (dwarf planet Ceres [Sustainability and Sustenance] Stationary in 13 Pisces) – we find an astroConfiguration we have to call a Full House, though it’s really a “Grand Unx,” an Unx being the Angle created when two planets are one sign apart, the word Unx meaning one twelfth.  And “Grand” meaning they dance all the way ’round the Mulberry bush…

Ain’t she gorgeous?  Downright Kaleidoscopic.

For those of us who Strive (Wer immer Strebend…, as Goethe put it) for Beginner’s Mind and 5D, this is the Ideal chart, because the Unx is about Pattern-Breaking.  Karma = Inertia = Patterns, ergo, Letting Go of Karma = Pattern-Breaking = the Unx.  And it’s not about something we have to do, it’s something we just have to Let Happen.  Its so Easy!

Which is actually the hard part!  We’re so Habituated to our Karma that when it threatens to Break, we Leap to Save It!  We Expect it, and anything Different Feels Unnatural.  Much of the time, our Unconscious Limitations are running our Show, and we don’t even Realize that Anything Else is Possible!  We Believe that it’s Just the Way It Is.  The rest of the time we Actively Defend our Karma.  What could possibly go wrong?  Well, now’s our Chance!  We have the Goddess on our Side here!

I guess we should start with the Moon (our Instincts), since She’s the Star of the Show.  She’s Merged with (Conjunct) Her Codependence (dwarf planet Hylonome [Self-Sovereignty]) but She’s getting Suspicious [asteroid Veritas [Analytical Truth]) that Her Codependence isn’t really Serving Her.  Especially since Her Heart’s Truth (asteroid Aletheia) and Her Boss’s Boss’s Boss (the Great Attractor [A Heavy Authority that our Galaxy Follows, which is in turn A Heavy Authority that our Sun Follows]) are both jawing at Her (Moon-Hylonome-Veritas Unx to both Aletheia and the Great Attractor).

The Co-Star of the Show, Sustainability (Stationary Ceres), like everyone else in the chart, has two sets of Patterns that are up for Reverting (two Unxes).  The fastest way to get to Sustainability is to move toward Sustenance by Removing the Unnecessary, but that word has some baggage because the Condor people (the Indigenous People in John Perkins’s Touching the Jaguar pp.98-100), who have the Wisdom to save us from Self-Genocide, have had their Attunement to the Earth mislabeled as “Subsistence,” as if it’s a lower level of Existence.  Sustenance also sounds like “barely Existing.”  So we’ll choose the currently PC term Resilience instead.

Before we get to the Sustainability-and-Resilience Unxes though, we have to deal with Abuse and Privilege (Stationary Ceres Conjunct dwarf planet Nessus [Abuse and Privilege]).  As Victims of Abuse, we always need to find a way to make our Response Sustainable – Let Go of Cause and Blame, own our Anger as the Pure Motivating Emotion that it is, Avoid Projecting it into places where it will inhibit What We Want, and Strive for Neutrality.  Neutrality doesn’t mean Abandoning our Passion.  It means being able to direct our Passion in ways, and into the places, where it will Manifest What We Want.  We’re certainly being Asked, by the immense Surge in Awareness about Racism, to make our Privilege Resilient.  We do that by Removing the Unnecessary and redefining Privilege from Wealth and Power to Abundance – Having Enough to Share.

Bear in mind that not everyone Strives for Beginner’s Mind and 5D and a Collaborative World.  Many People still Strive for Wealth and Power in a Competitive World.  Make the Choice to Leave those People Behind in 3D.  3D is a lower level of Existence, and it’s Addictive.  Give them the Choice, but don’t stay in 3D to protect them from their Karmic Work.

One of Sustainability’s Unxes is to Truth of the Heart (Aletheia).  Most of us have a quiver full of Programmed Skills for Blocking the Heart’s Truth when it Conflicts with the Mind’s Logic, and worse, with our Limiting Beliefs and our Programming.  The Door is Open for Letting Go of some of those Habitual Skills and Welcoming the Unknown as a Gateway to Peace and Fulfillment.

Sustainability’s other Unx is to Despair and Miracles (Chiron).  We need to make Discouragement a Red Flag for us, and as soon as we see it waving, we need to give ourself an Opportunity to Explore what we’re Feeling without Contaminating it with what we’re Thinking about What we’re Feeling, while knowing full well that Cause and Blame are Thoughts, not Emotions.  Wouldn’t hurt to set a timer, so we wouldn’t “Trip Out so far that we never get back to know that we left,” aka Get Lost in the maze that always Spawns when we Allow Emotion and Thought to Confuse one another.  After this exercise, we need to Poor-Sweetheart ourself, or Tap it Out and PIAVA What We Want.

Uranus (Soul) has its own two Unxes, with Despair and Miracles (Chiron) and with Respect for All Things (Hopi).  Can you see how we’ve Examined the Moon and Ceres, and take your own stab at doing the same for Uranus?  I don’t expect yours and mine to look the same (Vive le Différence), because we’re Different People with Different natal charts, Different Karmic Patterns, Different Languaging, Different Cultural and Ancestral Histories and Herstories, and Different Life Experiences, at the very least.  But as I get time I’ll go on around the loop, so you can see how our Interpretations agree and differ.  Not to Compare Content, though Exploring Differences in Content can be eye-opening.  But to see if we’re using the same Method, and if we’re Happy with the Result.  You might end up using a Method that works better for you – if so I’d love to hear about it!

Then do the same for Sun-Vesta (Letting Go of Limiting Beliefs), Orcus (Breaking Obsolete Patterns), and Poseidon.  Oops, you caught me cheating.  I plugged a new asteroid into what would otherwise have been a Vacancy.  I plugged it in thinking it was just another spelling for Neptune.  But I think, like Veritas and Aletheia it’s not just that.  I’ll Explore Poseidon more, to see how it differs from Neptune.

Note that the Unx is in the same Angle family as the Quincunx – it’s about Curiosity.  So don’t hesitate to Suffix your Interpretations with “…or something like that.”  And do the same with mine as you’re reading them.

Vacancies

A reader Wonders…

“I just realized I am not well versed in the ‘vacant spot’ and how to read it; for example, 19 Virgo (near my Natal Jup) – Is the vacant point an important piece to incorporate Natal planet positions to understand creating the pattern within the transits?  Or is the vacant spot more an indication of what is to be understood from the pattern configuration?  If you have any references from your posts that I could study further?  Or maybe a quick explanation will do the trick.”

Yes, when you’re at https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/, there’s a long column of keywords (“categories”) to the right of the text.  If you’re looking at a specific post, it doesn’t show up.  I try to add a keyword to a post only when the post explains the term, but I’m not totally consistent about categorizing all posts.  I notice that there are two cubbyholes for “Vacancy,” one under “Planets etc.” and one under “Astrologuese.”  They should be combined, as there’s no difference in how they’re used – but it would take me about an hour to combine them, so I won’t bother.

But let’s go ahead with a quick explanation, as we never know what we’re going to find from the keyword list – I “improve” my astrology constantly, so I’ll just tell you how I use Vacancies now…

Configurations in a chart are combinations of planetary angles that, usually, fill the Zodiac (usually that means they add to 360 Degrees).  For instance, the Grand Sextille comprises six planets each two Signs or 60 Degrees apart, 6 x 60 = 360.  The Grand Sextile (and the Grand Anything) is considered to be much more Powerful than six Sextiles randomly placed around a chart or less well organized.

I consider it an Almost-Grand Sextile when five of the six Positions are occupied, because if we supply the missing Energy in the sixth Position, then we Complete the Grand Sextile and Enjoy the Benefits  (kinda like Bingo or the Lotteries, of a Full Hand in Poker).  It’s similar with other Almost-Grand Configurations – Quintile, Septile, etc. Occasionally, when it seems appropriate, I’ll consider a Configuration with two Vacancies to be Almost-Grand.  Like the four adjoining Septiles we had at the 25 April 2020 Pluto Station, where just for the heck of it we looked to see if there were Stars at the missing three Positions (still in my queue, Bob!).

Notice that an Almost-Grand Cross is a T-Square – the primary Benefit of any Grand Configuration is that it’s Balanced, including the Grand Cross.  It combines four T-Squares, but it’s In Balance, so it’s not considered as Troublesome as the T-Square.  The primary Challenge of the T-Square then is to Create Balance from it.  We don’t usually consider the Vacancy of a T-Square, but it wouldn’t hurt to do so.

We were looking at a 19-Virgo Vacancy in the Almost-Grand Sextile in the 7 May Full Moon chart.  I don’t have a way to check to see if a Vacancy may be occupied by asteroids (or even dwarf planets) that I don’t usually use – I wish I did, as it would help a lot.  If anyone has a way to do this, let me know.  So if none of the “planets” (meaning planets, asteroids, dwarfs, Lights, Nodes, etc) I use are there, I look for Stars nearby.  That’s an iffy proposition, as there aren’t that many Stars that are cataloged for use by astrologers.  However, if there’s a Biggie there, like Arcturus or Regulus or Sirius, that’s Huge.

Whether there’s a Star near the Vacancy or not, if you have a natal planet there, you automatically Complete the Configuration, without even trying.  So for you it’s a full Grand Sextile, because you Embody the Energies of your natal chart.  If you have natal planets near any of the other planets in the Configuration, that’s worth noting as well, because that natal planet will be Lit Up more than usual.  As Huminals (Huper Animals), we’re like Viruses, with those little Spikes all over, corresponding to the planets in our natal chart, each of which is an Antenna for broadcasting and picking up (and maybe getting Stuck on) Energies from outside of ourself.

So that Almost-Grand Sextile in the Full Moon chart comprised…

• Klotho – Beginning New Timelines
• Sun-Mercury – Awareness of our Essence
• Neptune – Our Relationship to Energies Larger than Our Own
• Hylonome-Veritas – Insights into our Codependence
• Moon – our Instincts

If we add a Jupiter to that in the Vacancy, which would apply only to you, we Expand everything.  A Grand Sextile itself is about fabulous Grace or Good Luck in combining the Energies in each Sextile, which in turn is about Projects where we take the First Step and the Universe takes over after that.  So for the next several weeks (Full Moon charts impact the following 2-4 weeks) we might be finding excellent progress around Expanding New Projects that involve Trusting our own Instincts more, and Listening More to (and/or PIAVAing the Assistance of) our Guides, instead of Playing to or Soliciting the Opinions of Others.

Now, for most of the rest of us, without a planet in or near 19 Virgo, we have to Consciously add the Energy of the Vacancy in order to take advantage of the Enhanced Grace of the Grand Sextile.  For a guess about what that might mean we’d read the Sabian Symbol for that Degree, 19 Virgo: “A Swimming Race.”  To me that means Efficiency at processing our Emotions.  So for the rest of us for the next several weeks we might find great progress with New Projects that involve Trusting our own Instincts more, Listening More to our Guides and Soliciting their Assistance more, and Trusting our own Emotions (as Opposed to our Thoughts About them of course), instead of Trying to Please Others.

For all of us, the Programming we received from our Mothers is likely to be particularly Lit Up, since the Saturn Station occurs on Mother’s Day.  And we can’t ignore the fact that the Moon goes Out of Bounds on Mothers Day, so it’s all going to be a lot more Emotional than it would be usually – though telling Mom to Butt Out of our Choices will probably always be a Chancy Conversation.  But its a Grand Sextile, suggesting very Positive Outcomes from any Project that we Initiate, so it may be the best time ever to Begin our Self-Liberation.

Or, you can take an Easier path, especially if your Mum is Difficult (or Deceased), and use your Mirrors instead.  Either way our Relationship with our Dear Mother is Changing, so we want to Make the Best of the Opportunity in whatever way Feels best to us – that is, by Trusting our Emotions.  If our Emotions are Conflicted, as they’re likely to be, what an Opportunity to Stay Present with our Confusion and Avoid trying to Fix it.

If your Mother is the type to Demand Commitment, what an Opportunity to Stand your Ground (Veritas-Hylonome) – “Mom, I hear that you’re Asking for a firm Commitment, but I’m not Ready to do that, so we’ll have to leave the whole Issue Dangling till I am Ready, and I don’t know when that will be.”  Then, while the odds of Success are Great (Grand Sextile), you get to Practice Not Trying to Fix or Manipulate your Mother’s Emotions!

You might think this all sounds Daunting, but it’s a Critical and Natural part of Claiming Your Power, and as we’ve said, there may never be a Better Time.  Trying to stuff your Mother’s Heavy Emotions into your Carrion Bag for the Ascension Flight won’t work.  They’ll bump you off the Flight for overweight.

Over the Hedge

Remember that Moon Out of Bounds thing?  It’s when the Moon strays too far from the Equator.  In general, everybody gets over-Emotional.  It happens for a day or so every two weeks for about eleven years, then not at all for the next eleven years or so.  The Moon started its last Out-Of-Bounds Adventure on 11 September 2001.  People got pretty Freaked Out then.  Well, it’s starting its next “OOB” Adventure.  We’ll be lucky if this one “only” results in the New Coronavirus, though it’s threatening to usher us into a repeat of the 1930s.

The Moon dipped Her toe into the OOB water 4 March 2020, between 3:25 and 7:45 pm PST.  From where I live, She actually appeared to be north of west.  She’ll have her first solid junket Over The Hedge from 9:15 pm PDT 16 March till 4:52 pm PDT 17 March.  We’ve been forewarned, now we have ten days to stock the Zoloft cabinet in our Fallout Shelter.

I think of the Moon as operating on three levels.  First is our “Random” Emotions.  When someone cuts us off in traffic, sometimes we’ll Curse them, and other times we’ll Wish them Goddesspeed, and it seems Random.  But chances are, in the fist case they were Angry and taking it out on us, and in the second instance they were rushing to the hospital.  That’s the second level, our Instincts.  The third level is the Energy that holds our Reality in place and keeps it from Detonating.

If we turn off the TV and don’t worry about whether someone else’s Castles are Burning, Moon OOB should make it easier for us to Notice when we’re disregarding our Instincts, and Change those Habits.  It should also have a more Immediate Impact on our Manifesting.  Which will make it much more Important that we Stay Focused on What We Want, and Vigilantly Stop ourself when we Notice that we’re Focusing on What We Don’t Want again.

While we’re on the subject, the asteroid that symbolizes Judgment and Respect (Hopi) has been OOB since 28 June 2019, and returns In-Bounds at 4:30 am PDT 16 March.  Does that mean that Respect has been Stronger since last June, or that Judgment has been Stronger?  I suspect both, depending on which way you lean.  Hopefully we will have learned something useful about Judgment and Respect since June.  If you skipped Dr. Chu’s video at the end of the last post, you may want to go back and watch it.

Asteroid Hopi also left Pisces and entered Aries on 6 March, so we should be Channeling more Spiritual Energy and less Emotional Energy into our Judgments and Respect.  As we approach 12 March we may Experience a Big and possibly Challenging Shift around this Transition (as Hopi crosses Chiron in 5 Aries, “A triangle with wings: The capacity for Self-Transcendence,” at 6:30 pm PDT).

If you aren’t Manifesting What You Want, then, you have till the 16th to take advantage of the last ten days of Hopi OOB to work on Converting your Judgments and Envies to Respect and Gratitude.  If we aren’t Manifesting What We Want, we’re spending too much time Focusing on What We Don’t Want.  Instead of Judging ourself for slow Manifesting, we need to get in touch with the part of ourself that Wants Something Else, because they may well be the one who’s inhibiting our Manifestation.

Find out What your Evil Twin Wants, and Respect it.  They’re both You, so you should be able to negotiate Win-Win between them, where they both agree to Help one another reach toward their own Goals.  One Caveat is to keep everything Positive.  If your Evil Twin wants you to stay in Poverty because rich people are Wasteful and Selfish, Focus on having Abundance while Being Respectful, Efficient, and Generous with your Resources.

When you sit with your Various and Conflicting Wants, you may find that some of your Wants aren’t really Yours.  Maybe you Condemn Abundance not because you Love Minimalism, but because your Father was always bad-mouthing the Rich as Selfish and Wasteful – or even Criminal.  You may actually Love Luxury.  When we Internalize other people’s Values as our own, it’s often Karmic.  So we may need to Face Down Emotions that we’d rather Die than Feel, and work through the resulting Ego Death before we Allow ourself to be Reborn into Abundance.

We’re entering about six weeks where our Power to Manipulate the Future will be immensely Magnified.  As the Mugwort Deva said in The Findhorn Garden, more or less, “You Hupers shy away from Power, but for us, the more Power we can muster, the more we can Serve God/Goddess.”

As we’ve mentioned, the timing of “mundane” or manifested events on the Planet or in our Internal Experience is often governed by the Moon.  We might have a big astroevent (such as an Initiation or a Station) scheduled for 3pm on the 23rd (of any arbitrary month – this is just an example), but if the Moon crosses (or, eg, Squares, etc) the location of the event at 9am or 6pm (or any other time close by), we’re more likely to Experience the event when the Moon Dances through.

In addition to its Dance from New to Full and back, the Moon has other Cycles.  One of the more Profound of those is its “Out of Bounds” or “OOB” Cycle.  A planet or other astroprocess is said to be OOB when it’s overhead further north or south of the Equator than the Sun ever goes.  The Sun Dances back and forth between 23:27 Degrees North at the Cancer Solstice (Tropic of Cancer or Northern Summer) and 23:27 Degrees South at the Capricorn Solstice (Tropic of Capricorn or Southern Summer).

Some planets and other Heavily Bodies – like the Moon – go further north and south than the Sun, symbolically Illuminating places that would otherwise never “see the [Perpendicular] Light of Day,” or Sunlight from directly overhead.  When the Sun is never overhead, there are places forever in Shadow.  For example, when the Moon goes OOB, Huperfolks find Emotions Lit Up that they didn’t know they had, as their Instincts become more Difficult to Suppress.  Simply because we have less Experience with them, these Emotions can be Difficult to Manage.

Many planets go OOB for a while when they do – for instance, Mars is OOB from 9 February till 2 March 2020.  The Moon though Dances from North Tropic to South Tropic and back every month.  So when the Moon goes OOB, it’s actually OOB for only a few days every two weeks – making our Experience with Moon OOB even more rare.  To top it off, the Moon spends about ten or so years never going OOB at all, then for the following ten or so years it goes OOB every two weeks.

In my Experience, the classic example of Moon OOB was 11 September 2001, often known as “9/11.”  The World-Trade astroevent of the time was easily attributable to Saturn-Pluto, yet the Saturn-Pluto event occurred in early August.  But on 11 September the Moon began one of it’s approximately-decennial OOB spans.  And sure enough, folks got more Emotional.  Not only that, but there were People or Energies that were prepared to Manipulate these unusual Emotions.

Well, it’s been almost twenty years since “9/11,” and next month the Moon again begins one of its vicennial OOB Adventures.  You’ve seen this building up in the Sky.  Tonight the Moon appears to be nearly overhead.  Several months and years ago, it never went nearly as high in the Sky, relative to the southern horizon.  Here’s what it’s up to…

• On 6 February it goes as far north as 23:15 Degrees.
• On 19 February it reaches 23:19 Degrees South.
• On 5 March it turns around at 23:26 North.
• On 16-17 March it spends from 9pm PST on the 16th till 3pm on the 17th Out of Bounds, reaching as far as 23:32 South.

That’s a big and sudden jump at the Ides of March, from 23:26 to 23:32, and from five hours almost-OOB to eighteen hours OOB.  The Moon’s OOB Adventures increase in extent and duration from there, for about five years, before they slowly recede into another decade or so of “behaving themselves” and leaving the Shadows behind our Unturned Stones.

The OOB Initiation on 11 September 2001 occurred at the North Tropic, while the 16-17 March 2020 OOB begins at the South Tropic.  I have no idea whether that’ll make any difference to anybody we know, though I’ll be looking at the Southern Hemisphere to see if it might.  It’ll be back beginning to Illuminate Deep Shadows in the Northern Hemisphere on April Fool’s Day.  Interesting that the Antichrist has accomplished at the end of this vicennium what Radical Islam tried to do at the beginning, to devastate World Trade.

Considering what’s happening these days between the Demise of the Patriarchy and the Infancy of #MeToo, not to mention the general turmoil in the World’s Political-Economic organization, there will undoubtedly be many Shadows of People or Energies that are Willing and Able to Manipulate these Energies to their own Advantage.  We may as well play along.  I think it would be Wonderful if we Dedicated some time every day, till at least early April, Meditating on and PIAVAing the 5D or Other World that we Want to spend our own Future in.  Along the way we can Tap Out our Yes-Buts, Fears, Hesitations, and Resistances.

Not that we want to stop in early April.  Since Meditation and other PIAVAs become our major Manifestation Tools in 5D, this would actually be a fabulous Habit to Develop and Cherish.

In the vicennium just past, the major Political-Economic program underway (Jupiter-Saturn Conjunctions in Earth Signs) was deciding what we Wanted to Keep from the preceding two Centuries of the Industrial Era.  We started (or continued) twenty years of “Perpetual War” between Modern Materialism and Ancient Spiritual Tradition.  Toward the end of that twenty years, Uranus entered Taurus, which we can easily interpret as Spirit Entering Matter, or the Reanimation of Nature and the Planet, a prerequisite for Respectful Earth Restoration.

Beginning in December 2020, we will be totally immersed in the Digital Age (Jupiter-Saturn Conjunctions in Air Signs), for most of the two Centuries that follow.  It’s easy to imagine 5G and Surveillance Fascism (Fascism just means that the Governments and the Corporations are in bed together) to be major implements used to Manipulate this MoonDance to Mammon’s Advantage.  Since Neutrality includes Lack of Resistance, we may want to include in our Meditations that we are Transparent to those Energies – they go right through us without snagging on anything, and keep on going.

Wouldn’t hurt to Visualize (or other PIAVA) ourself Transparent to Climate Change and assorted Pandemics, Pestilence, and Famine, (O My), either.  We certainly Endeavor to Avoid contributing to any of those Ancient Cultural Liver Cleansers for sure, but we Imagine being Personally Unafflicted by them.  What if Nero had the right idea after all?  As Mother Theresa demonstrated, Neutrality is a prerequisite for the Compassion that Heals.

Well, as they say, “Trust but Verify.”

But then, according to our own previous post, aside from the main effect of 12 January’s Big astroevent about Transforming (Pluto) our Priorities (Saturn) to accommodate (Squared by) What’s Been Denied (dwarf planet Eris) – along with its embellishments (Mercury/Awareness, dwarf planet Chariklo/Confidence-and-Doubt) – the Big Challenge (T-Square) was about Trust (asteroid Eurydike), wasn’t it.  The Challenge to Trust was from the Veracity of the Shift (asteroids Veritas/Facts and Bee-Zed/Transcendence) and our Insights about the Incredible Scope of the Change (dwarf planets Asbolus/Intuition and Chaos/Unlimited-Potential)!

And that doesn’t even include what we Believe to define the context for the 12 January event (namely the 10 January Stations/Strength of Uranus/Soul-or-Consciousness which in Taurus is Descending into Matter, and of Eris/Revelation itself, along with the Eclipse/Illumination), which we might summarize as Huperity Becoming Aware that Matter has been Conscious all along.  Which is the Missing Core Belief in the Western Worldview that is Messing Up the Planet for Huperity and Everyone Else.

So unless Brenda has been reading this blog, which I very much doubt, her post is a remarkable “Coincidence.”  What I’ve been Feeling, myself, is quite a lot of Fear.  I’ve been working with it, Tapping and PIAVAing to get Grounded, but even then I’ve Lacked Clarity on a couple of Issues that seem Important.  Till this morning.  Then I remembered to Poor-Sweetheart myself –

“You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Scared, aren’t you.”

And Wham, suddenly there’s Excitement, tonnes of it!  Now I even Remember to Breathe, and to Kegel if necessary!

Busy August VI

The Moon is crossing Jupiter as I write this (4:30 pm PDT 9 August), and the Moon is often a Trigger for Manifestation, so we may be Experiencing part of our Soul Descension now.  The Jupiter Station is near the Fixed Star Antares, one of the Royal Stars of Persia.  The Moon crossed Antares this morning (10am PDT 9 August).  Antares is the Lord of the West, or the Lord of Death – Ego Death in this case (the only thing that actually dies is the Ego; everything else is just Transformed).  Like all the Royal Stars of Persia, Antares means Great Success, with one Caveat – a potential Great Downfall.

For Antares, the Heart of Scorpio (in the Sidereal Zodiac), the Caveat is Compulsion.  The Soul is the ultimate in Spontaneity, and Operating as it does in many Dimensions, to the Dualistic mind and to the Observer in 3D, Unpredictability.  Few things are more Compulsive than Karma, so now we know why asteroid Karma was Stationary recently – to Clear Space for the Descent of a Spontaneous Soul.  Our Karma is so Compulsive that we usually mistake it for All That There Is.

If you get a Clear Sky, look to the South just after the Sun sets.  Jupiter is the Bright Star in the Sun’s Embrace, and Antares the reddish Star a little to the right and a little below Jupiter.  Saturn is a dimmer “Star” just off to the left.

In the “Tropical” Zodiac (the one we use), all this is going on in 10-15 Sagittarius, in front of the Great Attractor.  We can expect our natal planets in 11-15 of the Mutable Signs (Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, Pisces) to be Dancing in the Streets.

Self-Sovereignty

Though the 5 April Sovereignty New Moon (see previous post) remains in full effect, we’re also well into a new Time Province, the astrohighlights of which are…

• 4-8 April brings an Emphasis on Sustainability, which includes our Ability and Willingness to drop that which is Unnecessary, since Sustenance is the other side of the Resilience Coin.  (Ceres Station in 15 Sagittarius, 8 April 9:30 pm PDT.)  Sagittarius 15 is the location of the “Great Attractor,” which is an unknown Source of Cosmic Suction that’s pulling our Galaxy and many others toward itself.

• 3-10 April Challenges us to Let Go of the Limitations that Inhibit us from Expanding in all Directions – our Horizons, our Perspectives, our Relationships, our Life, and in particular, Limitations on our Loving Attention to the Guidance provided by our Emotions and Instincts.  (Jupiter Station in 25 Sagittarius, 10 April, 10am PDT, Opposed by the Moon.)

• 6-13 April is likely to see issues of Vitality becoming prominent.  An excellent time to Expand our notions about Healing.  What Inhibits or Prevents our own Healing?  Who taught us that there were Limits to Healing?  Have we begun to Realize how wrong they were?  (Varuna Station in 1 Leo, 13 April, 10:30 am PDT.)

• 9-16 April will find us Exploring Practical issues around our Sovereignty.  If we Respond with Obedience to those who want us to follow Their Rules, how does that make us Feel?  How often do we get Practice Responding Differently?  Do we even Notice when we’re Obeying our own Programming, our Shoulds?  Maybe it’s time to Practice shaking things up a little, starting with places where the Impact won’t be too Consequential.  Self-Sovereignty is already Critically important, and it will only become more so.  (Hylonome Station in 15 Capricorn, 16 April, 4:30 pm PDT.)

Once we get past the Ides of April, we enter what we’ve referred to as “Dark Days.”  That of course is Optional, but many astrologers – those prefer to stoke Egos and Fear, will label it so and many people – those who cower before Growth, will Experience it so.  Simply put, the theme of the last half of April is The Most Important Thing is the Transformation of our Self-Confidence.  Really all we have to do, is Remember to Refuse to Believe the content of our Doubts.  We’ll talk more about this as the month proceeds.

Life Force Full Moon

It’s still a week away, but the Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse occurs on 20 January (9pm PST) at 1 Leo.  It’s visible in full throughout the Western Hemisphere.  And it’s Merged with (Conjunct) dwarf planet Varuna, the Life Force, the Energy which Animates Entities of all sorts.

An Eclipse symbolizes Illumination, as what we have not been Seeing is suddenly Obvious by its Absence.  Consciousness is Expanded not by Discovery, but by Differentiation.  We hear a Bird chirping in a Tree, but we can’t find it – till it moves.  Then we Realize we’ve been looking at it all along, we just didn’t Differentiate it from its Background.

“At first each change leads to new fears and discomforts but once acclimatized to the new conditions, the knowledge that they have overcome yet more hazards rewards them with greater happiness and their power grows with each new experience; the more power they develop, the speedier is their progress in every way.

“Power is the key which controls all life in growth, in colour and in form; the greater the power, the greater the progress of both the giver and receiver.  As it increases, so the capacity for giving grows and, with each advance, the giver evolves in sensitivity and is thus enabled to enjoy each ensuing experience with added understanding and pleasure.  Power is that which enables all events to take place and without it life would become extinct.

That which Animates.  If you know anything about Quantum Physics, you recognize the process.  Same Phenomena, different Metaphors.

There are three levels of Interpretation for Lunar Energy.  Not three levels of Lunar Energy, but three levels of sophistication in Interpreting and understanding Lunar Energy.  At the first level, the Moon represents Change, or random variation, random Motion, random Emotion.  When someone cuts you off on the freeway, sometimes you think, “They must be in a hurry,” and other times you curse them.  Random Reactions.

In the second level of Interpretation, the Moon represents our Instincts.  In the first case, you likely sensed that the person who cut you off was having an emergency of some kind, while in the second case you may have Instinctively Knew that the driver was Angry, and his (well, would a her cut you off?  Maybe, but less likely) reckless driving was an Act of Competition.

On the third level, the Moon stands for the Energy that holds Matter together, in the way described by Marusis above.  Remember, to Manifest we need Clarity, Neutrality, and Passion.  Clarity in the sense that we’ve Cleared any Resistance from the Unconscious, Neutrality in the sense that we don’t have an Emotional Investment in any specific Outcome, and Passion in the sense that we Care Deeply.

Is there a Contradiction between this Neutrality and this Passion?  Maybe, but Remember that Contradiction occurs only in Duality, ie, only in the mind of the Observer, not in Observed Reality.  So if you want to call it a Paradox instead of a Contradiction, I’d be fine with that.  Still skeptical about how you could Care Deeply and Passionately without an Emotional Attachment?  Your Passion is your Motivation.  It drives you to immer Streben.  Not getting the Outcome you want doesn’t deter you.

Consider your Deepest Desire.  You’ve been Streben for it as long as you’ve been Alive, and you still don’t have it.  Does that mean you give up?  You couldn’t if you wanted to – you’d just sublimate it and Seek it by a different name, one that is politically correct to your Ego.   Spots?  No, those aren’t Spots, they’re Stripes!  You’re the only one who Believe that, but what does that matter?  It’s just a word.

But your Deepest Desire is just a placeholder.  The closer you get to it, the more it morphs.  It’s a distorted picture of your Mission, but it’s the Clearest picture you can grok at your current level of Awareness.  Your True Mission is ineffable.  PIAVA it, and see what happens.  “I Wonder what it might look like to have Neutrality and Passion at the same time.”

This is why the Moon frequently Triggers other astroevents.  Because the Lunarglue is necessary for events or objects or circumstances to Adhere and stay Adhered.  Personalizing this Lunar Energy, whether by the name of Faerie, Ganesha, God/Goddess, the Unseen Therapist, Mother Mary, or Fred, gives you the advantage that you have someone to address when you Ask for its, or their, aid.  If you make it a Religion, you lose, because in most cases, when you confine Spirit to Either/Or, you’ve put a dagger through its Varuna.  Spirit and the Moon are Both/And.

Fear and Anger III

We can consider the Full Moon we’ve just finished (5am PDT 26 August) and the Stations of Mars (7am PDT 27 August) and Sedna (7:30 am PDT 28 August) that we’re now falling into face-first, as one big event.  In fact, the Moon is often the Timing Trigger for Larger or more Subtle events, so there’s a chance that the Relief we felt after the Full Moon passed, indicated the Emotional Peak of the Mars-Sedna event.

They’re in different Degree Zones, the Full Moon in 4 Degrees, and the Mars-Sedna Stations at 28-29, but their Timing lumps them together.  We Expect a Mars Station to be felt most Strongly for several days before the event, and a Sedna Station to heavily Impact the week prior – depending on one’s Sensitivity of course.  So we have to consider the Moon an Anger-Fear (Mars-Sedna) Full Moon, even as on its own account we’d refer to it as a Challenge to End Karma (Square to Lachesis-Karma).

Of course we’ll translate Anger-Fear into Action-Power.

When Mars is Strong, Anger is what we Expect to Arise, and Expecting it we’ll immediately See it as an Emotion and Let Go of the Content that Triggered it.  Right?  We deal most Effectively with Emotions by Feeling them, Acknowledging them, Tapping them Out if they threaten to Overwhelm, and then Letting them Go.  What remains?  If anything, Action.  Not for Revenge, but for Improving Outcomes. 

And we know that Fear + Kegels = Power, just as Fear + Breathing = Excitement.  If your Safety is not assured, I highly recommend using Theta (see https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava/theta/) to discriminate your Intuition about upcoming Danger from your Habitual Anxiety Patterns.  Most of your Karmic Fears will be Paper Tigers, like the wayang kulit Indonesian Shadow Puppets  – but you don’t want to miss any Real Present-Moment Dangers.

We can consider the two Stations as one for several reasons, but the biggest one is that the Mars Station and the Sedna Station closely Trine (Complement) one another.  The chart is for the Sedna Station because it is more Momentous (Mars’s orbit spans two years, Sedna’s 11,400 years!) but especially because at Sedna’s Station the Moon, which often serves as a Timer, sits at the Near Midpoint between Mars and Sedna.

Since Ceres (Sustainability) Completes the Grand Trine, the Stations form the crossbar of a Moon Kite, and the Moon-Ceres axis is also half of a Grand Cross.  So we have both Great Grace (Grand Trine) and Serious Motivation (Grand Cross) baked into these Stations, with the Moon leading the way.  The Moon is a complex symbol.  We can probably most productively interpret it as Authenticity – which certainly reinforces the trend toward Descent of Soul and Self-Sovereignty.

But a more well-known interpretation for the Moon is Variability, and it’s in a Mutable (as in Mutation or Change) Sign, Pisces.  So the Grand Cross sets up an apparent Duality between Sustainability and Variability.  We know, however, that Duality is one of those Truths that aren’t Truths.  When we see a Duality we don’t focus on heads or tails, we look for the Coin.  While the words might appear contradictory, the Energies aren’t – certainly Sustainability requires Flexibility, a form of Variability.

So what might our Coin be?  Perhaps Situational Awareness and Response, rather than Idealistic or Programmatic – or Karmic, Inertial – Reaction.  The other axis of the Grand Cross is Intense – dwarf planet Chaos (Unlimited Potential) on one side, and on the other a full nest of Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs), Pholus (Full Conscious Response), Ixion (Forbidden Genius), and Quaoar (Survival Instincts).  We’ll dive into that tomorrow.
