Stellia and Enlightenment 2

We were working on the idea that Conjunctions and Stellia (groups of 3 or more planets close together) mean that some of our normal Cultural- and Language-Determined Distinctions (like Boy vs Girl, Blue vs Green, Idiotic vs. Imbecilic) get Merged, so we end up looking at People, Cool Colors, and Dumb instead. Each of these is a tiny Enlightenment. For instance, when we wake up one day and see People instead of Boys vs Girls, it’s Consciousness-Expanding. And we were using the very unusual Total Lunar Eclipse of 27-28 September 2015, which was loaded with Stellia and Conjunctions, as an excellent example. Just looking at the Eclipse itself, the Moon was in a Stellia of three, and the Sun was in a Stellia of eight, ie, unheard of. So what happens to our perspective when 8 of our normal Distinctions all run together? Well, let’s start with the simpler, the Stellia of 3…

• Eclipsed Moon – Instincts, Illuminated
• Vesta – Unconscious Limitations
• True South Node – Held Emotion

Our Held Emotions form the most Persistent Core of our Karma, as long ago we were highly Motivated to Never Think About Them again. They were too Painful. Often they were also Verboten in the Current Lifetime by our Programmers, cementing their Banishment for us.¹ Bringing them up into Consciousness by accident is almost impossible, because the clues are usually disguised by Addiction, Illness, or Culturally-Approved Victimizations. Dedicated and Persistent PIAVAs are Required.

¹ Forbidding something is probably the best way to assure that it gets constant Attention. Combining Forbidding and Punishing can drive an Energy into the Unconscious and Lock the door behind it, but that only means that we think about it all the time, without actually Recognizing it.

Our Unconscious Limitations are already the same thing as Held Emotions, but seen from a different Perspective. We just “don’t go there,” and our Behavior is so well-Justified that there’s no reason we’d ever want to. I’d Do Anything for Love, but I Won’t Do That! They’re Walled Off very Effectively by Judgments – in fact our Pet Peeves are often the best Clue to our Unconscious Limitations, but our Pet Peeves are Pictures of Our Identity – of Our Ego itself! The Ego has already made it Clear to anyone who will Listen that they’re Off-Limits. So this is an Effortless Merger!

But our Instincts! Only Carl Jung defined our Karma as a Persistent and Dedicated Effort by the Unconscious to get us to Open to and Accept our Held Emotions. So this sort of Merger is a Given to Jungians and followers of his followers. In Normal Circumstances for most people, this triple Merger would Precipitate a Major Crisis, as we would be forced to Admit or Reveal our Most Shameful Secrets. At the very least we’d be Hiding in a Cave somewhere, so no one would be allowed to Witness our Shame.

But these weren’t Normal Circumstances! Look at the Other Side of this Eclipse – a Stellium of eight planets – I don’t recall ever seeing that before!

• Black Moon Lilith – Self-Sovereignty

While our Ego is Lost in Shame, our Essence is Bathing in the Bright Light of Our Lifetime Mission. Our Mission is so multidimensional that our Ego and 2D Mind seldom actually Witness more than a Whiff of it. But here we’re Immersed in the Urge to Grow in Consciousness, and Intuitively we know that the most Powerful way to do that is to Open to a Held Emotion. With Emphasis on Self-Sovereignty, we’re less concerned than usual about What Everyone Else Will Think of us, which has potential to Neutralize our Shame.

Sisyphus and Tantalus are cousins in the Psyche, both dealing as they do with Forever – Sisyphus Condemns us to Repeat a Task Forever, and Tantalus leaves us Forever Frustrated because the Objects of our Desire Dissolve just as we are about, at long last, to Enjoy Them. Indeed, few things are more Tantalizing than the Desire to Complete our Sisyphean Tasks. Both make excellent adjectives for describing Karma.

Sisyphus and Tantalus are named like “Centaurs,” which are comet-like dwarf planets with elongated 50-100+ year orbits between Jupiter and Pluto, of which Chiron is the most well known. But they aren’t Centaurs at all, they’re “Apollos” – Near-Earth Asteroids that orbit between Venus and Mars. Tantalus is considered a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid, as it’s 4km/2½mi wide and comes within 16 LD (Moon-to-Earth Distances) of Earth, orbiting every 18 months between 0.9 and 1.7 AU (Distance from the Sun, where Sun-to-Earth is 1.0). Sisyphus is a little less dangerous, approaching within “only” 40 LD from Earth though at 9km/5½mi wide it’s bigger than Tantalus. It orbits every 30 months, between 0.9 and 2.9 AU. For comparison, Mars orbits at 1.4-1.7 AU, Venus at 0.7 AU.

Their presence in the 8-fold Merger tempts us to Imagine what Life will be like for us when our Karma is no longer Interminable, nor Fruitless. Panacea tells us that this Merger is a Healing! So it was entirely possible for a Witness to the 27-28 September 2015 Blood Moon to Experience a Significant Burst of Enlightenment. And whether we Witnessed it visually or not, we couldn’t Hide from the Energy of a Blood Moon like this one.

But what about the Kassandra T-Square, the thick red triangle that Challenges the Full Moon? The Full Moon is already a Debate, like any Opposition a Tension between the two sides of a Tug-of-War. But here the two sides are in total agreement – we need to Embrace our Held Emotions to Move into Enlightenment and 5D. So where’s the Tension? Kassandra means Disbelief. Who are we to Claim to be Enlightened? Everyone we know who does that is either a Guru or an Obvious Egotist, sometimes Both.

The green wedge pointing at Kassandra says that the T-Square is Self-Resolving. There’s nothing we need to do except somehow refrain from Interfering in the process as it Unfolds, since it may not Unfold all at once. It can actually help to be Unaware of the astrology at this point, because our lack of Awareness might help prevent our Interference. How does the Self-Resolution Unfold?

The two long green lines are “Quincunxes” – an “Unx” is one twelfth, here 1/12th of the Zodiac or one Sign, and “Quin” is of course 5 – the green lines are 5 Signs long. A Quincunx means Curiosity. Not Curiosity in the sense I gotta figure this out! but Curiosity in the sense of Awe. So our most appropriate Response to the Eclipse would be to Watch or Experience it Slack-Jawed, in Awe. A Quincunx is a Mystery School, where we need to put our 2D tools (Mind) back in the toolchest, Ask to be Informed, and Wait for nD tools to reveal themselves.

There’s a Mysterious Relationship here between Pan, the Primary God of Nature, and Disbelief, that’s somehow involved with the Manifestation of our Enlightenment. And another Mysterious Relationship between Disbelief and The Birth (Klotho) of a New Field (Arachne). Arachne is Grandmother Spider, Who Weaves the Web of Life. So there are things that are Unfolding which are beyond what we can Understand Intellectually.

What sort of nD Relationships with Disbelief are we talking about here? The 2D Mind will only have enough bandwidth to find Metaphors, but we might be able to get more Intuitive Perspective by Asking for a download from our Teachers and Ancestors on the Other Side of the Veil. Just because someone’s on the Other Side, that doesn’t mean they Know more than you do already, but Suzanne introduces simple ways to Validate what you’re Picking Up. If you aren’t in steady Contact with the Other Side of the Veil already, there’s at least a Talking Mirror here. Validation is important, as our Comprehension of this New Field (Klotho-Arachne) is Explicitly Challenged by Untruthes (Square to asteroid Pinocchio).

There’s one more Stellium and one more Conjunction in this Blood Moon chart, so we haven’t Exhausted the Opportunities for mini-Enlightenments yet. They’re Linked to Pan through a Grand Cross (four planets more or less equally spaced around the Zodiac) which introduces a Series of Small Challenges that Complement one another. A Grand Cross is Self-Resolving, though there may be some Temporary Discomfort if the segments of the Resolution are separated in Time.

The Stellium involves Intrusive Memories (Gonggong), Truth of the Mind (Veritas), and Confusion (Neptune). The Intrusive Memories are highly likely to be Clues about our Held Emotions, if we Pursue them as Teachings, and sidestep the Temptation to Relive them as Coulda Woulda Shouldas. The Intrusive Memories Intruded in 2015, but remember that Everything that Ever Happened in a Place Is Still Going On, and we have the advantage that by reviewing the astrology we’re Indirectly Triggering our Experience of the 2015 Eclipse, even if we don’t Remember Experiencing its Energy.

The Truth of the Mind tells us to Compare Everything we Learn here to What We Already Know, but not to Reject Anything that doesn’t Agree, but to Practice our Skill with “Cognitive Dissonance,” the Practice of Holding Contradictory Propositions in Mind at the Same Time without Argument between them, which is Essential Practice for using our Mentality in Dimensions higher than 2.

Neptune, Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity, here completes the Suite by Reminding us that Confusion is the First Stage of Growth in Consciousness. Without Being Comfortable with Confusion and Standing Still for It, we’ll never get to Allowing Cognitive Dissonance to Enliven Paradox. One trick to make it easier to Live with Neptune, is to shift our Vision from the Mind to the Heart, as the Heart Perceives Spirit and its Clarity. If we Channel the 2015 Blood Moon fully here, we won’t be able to Discern the Difference between Intellectual Truth, Confusion, and Ancient Memory, and that’s Important to Grokking the Enlightenment.

Besides Pan and the Gonggong Triad, the third member of the Grand Cross is the Merger between Mars and Orcus – only two Concepts to Merge – how Easy by now, right? Mars is about Action, and Orcus is about Pattern-Making and Pattern-Breaking, namely, Creating and Letting Go of Karma. So we’re Expected to Actively Let Go of any Attachment we have to Self-Sabotaging Habits. The subscript is that Anger may be involved in our Held Emotions, and that there may be Resistance to Letting Go of our Anger, especially if we’ve heavily Invested our Ego into being Victims of our Pet Peeves.

Mars was the God of War, and there’s nothing he Enjoys more. Orcus was the Enforcer of Oaths in pre-Roman days in what is now Italy, and his methods were gruesome, as most of the Oaths he Enforced were involved Commitment to Armies. Commitment to things like Fidelity were not even considered in those days. We were Free then to Abuse anyone or anything of lower status than ours. Financial Commitments were probably more one-way Commitments than two-way “Bargains” as Civilized Law expects. There’s probably no more Important Held Emotion to Embrace, than Anger, as we Experience Anger in the Unconscious as Anger Directed Toward us. Another Clue.

Finally, the fourth corner of the Grand Cross contained The Fall of Overtechnologized Civilization (asteroid Atlantis). If any of your Strategies involve Increasing Complexity, turn around and Walk toward Simplicity instead. Universal Equality and Respect for All Things is probably as Simple as we can get.

Denying Nature, Transmuting Huperity

8-18 January 2023 is a busy 10 days. Fortunately the Moon is back In-Bounds for the entire 10 days,¹ so we may squeak by without too many Freakouts on the Edges. Then asteroid Hopi Out of Bounds (Respect for All Things, Amplified ) moves into Scorpio (Which Doesn’t Kid Around ).²

Then the Big Guns – Stations (Increased Impact ) of Pan (the Primary Deva of Nature), Eris (the Revelation of What’s Been Denied ), Mars (Action), and Ka’epaoka’awela (Transmutation), followed by a Station of Mercury (Awareness, Communication).

All of these Stations except that of Eris happen within the same 9-13 Degree Window, so they’re Merged in both Time and Degree. We could hope that Hupers will Become more Aware of their Denial of Nature and Transmute it, Promoting Action to Correct it, but we’ve seen so many False Alarms that we aren’t Holding our Breath. Even more Apocalyptic Weather would be Appropriate. The Pholus-Quaoar Cycle tells us that this will be a long slow process, lasting a couple of Generations.

But that doesn’t mean that we can’t Visualize and watch for signs of Progress and Celebrate them. The Energy of the Restoration of Nature to its Proper Respect is Growing, we’re just unlikely to hear about it from a Minia owned and dominated by the previous Cycle’s oily Energy. That’s why I came to this Planet, to Visualize, Witness, and Celebrate the Restoration of Nature to its Proper Respect, and I suspect many of youalls did too. Progress is Cumulative, and Celebration Magnetizes more Progress, so even small steps are worthy of Celebration.

Everyone is familiar with Quartz, but who well knows the other two thirds of the Silicates and the most common of Minerals, the Feldspars? In these People, the Silicates are paired with Aluminates, and the two Periodic Tablemates often substitute for one another. The two major groups of Feldspars are the Sodium-Calcium Feldspars and the Potassium Feldspars. Know that you can use the Frequency of Crystals or other Stones the way you would use Supplements.

You might use a Sodium Feldspar like Lapis to raise your Blood Pressure a bit and Feel more awake, a Calcium Feldspar like Stilbite to help strengthen your Bones, and a Potassium Feldspar like Amazonite to lower your Blood Pressure a bit and create Calming. Growth in Consciousness 1.5

Now I understand why my Lethargy yesterday was laced with Intrusive Memories. The Big-Deal-of-the-Day for 23 October 2022 is an Exaggeration of the Need for Growth in Consciousness that’s Merged with the astrological symbol for Intrusive Memories.¹ There are two SuperPowers Brightly Lit Up…

• Transmutation into Enlightenment – Remember that it’s “just” an Ego Death, not a Physical Death.²
• Meeting the Sacred Deva of Nature.³

Both SuperPowers are Self-Resolving and Enhanced, and partially Mutually Complementary.⁴ This means that we’re better off Sitting with our Reactions to What We Perceive as Negative, rather than Trying to Intervene with Actions or Decisions about Future Behaviours.

Scary Lunar Eclipse I

This week is all about Sign Changes…

• Asteroid Juno entered Capricorn Sunday 14 November 2021. Juno is about Growth in Consciousness. Since late December 2020 we’ve been Growing our Awareness of What We Needed to Let Go Of (Juno in Sagittarius). Now, till early March 2022, we get to Plug in Candidates for Refilling those Holes in Our Lives (Juno in Capricorn) that Have Been Created by All That Letting Go. Voids are seldom comfortable, so I suspect that, like me, you’ve been working overtime trying to Fix the Holes Where The Rain Gets In, with less success than you would have liked, because it wasn’t time yet. That should be Changing. Yay!
• Asteroid Karma entered Scorpio Monday 15 November. Boo! Like Frank said to Ernest, I just get my budget in order, and along comes a big surprise, like rent, or a weekend. So as they so often do, our killjoy Ancient Habits (asteroid Karma) are already pushing and shoving their way into the Holes. But this is not without Purpose. Scorpio is Relentless about Getting to the Bottom of Things. So while Juno in Sadge went home with our marbles, now we get to deal with our Addiction to our Routines. Joe Dispenza’s free series of four short workshops (still available at https://experience.hayhouseu.com/redesigningyourdestiny-video1-whereyourattentiongoes/) is about exactly that, and it’s Right On. It’s also an excellent time to reread Gay Hendricks’s The Big Leap. Asteroid Karma (“a.Karma”) has been in Libra – I hope you Deepened your most important Relationships rather than Fleeing them – since only the last few days of August, so at least the torture was short-lived. a.Karma will be done unearthing skeletons by February 2022¹.
• Asteroid Vesta enters Sagittarius Tuesday 16 November. Make up yer mind, Universe! Are we Building or Dismantling? It’s always Both/And, isn’t it. If we didn’t have Apoptosis, we’d get even fatter every day than we already do. Vesta is about Our Limiting Beliefs. These days it’s only spending about two months in each Sign. So the last two months we’ve been furiously hammering away at the Beliefs that Most Limit us (Vesta in Scorpio), and we’re probably Frustrated that they seem to still be there! We did Identify them, however, and that will be a great Boon as we Let Them Go over the next few months (Vesta in Sadge). Bear in mind that Life is a lot more complicated than our Dualistic mind can comprehend, so if you think you can actually Name your Limitations, be sure to add …or something like that… to any Descriptions of them.
• Asteroid Sappho enters Pisces Wednesday 17 November. Sappho (Self-Love and Self-Doubt) has been in Aquarius (Social Idealism) since April, seven months, but it’ll only spend two months in Pisces. I suspect we’ll be glad about that, as we could be spending a lot of time blubbering about the Barrage of Regrets we could be inundated with, as Pisces is about Finishing Unfinished Emotional Business. Whatever you Do or Feel between now and the Ides of February, be hypervigilant about Blame. Blame, whether Self- or Other-, is a total Dead End. No better way to squelch your Growth and stop your Progress toward any Goal, than to hang yourself with the Noose of Blame. Gay Hendricks advises, “that if I could consider, even for a moment, that I was not upset for the reason I thought I was [Thoughts about our Feelings again!], then I could break out of the Trance I was in. Then, I could begin to see what the real reasons were” (op.cit. p.102).
• Asteroid Nemesis enters Capricorn Sunday 21 November. Nemesis spent three months in Sagittarius (Letting Go Of Guilt) but it’ll only spend two months in Capricorn (Putting Guilt to Work Productively). This Sign Change will be much complicated by its concurrence with the 18-21 November Exaggeration of Intrusive Memories (21 November Station of dwarf planet Gonggong²), and by concurrent Exaggeration of our Instincts (Moon Out of Bounds 20-24 November³). Not to mention the 19 November Scary Lunar Eclipse.⁴

• ¹ Well, not quite. a.Karma turns Retrograde in March 2022 and backs into Scorpio again in April. It finally moves into Sagittarius “for good” in September 2022. Meanwhile, a.Karma is Out of Bounds (Exaggerated) from late December 2021 in mid-Scorpio, all through 2022, till March 2023 in early Aquarius.
• ² Formerly known as “OR10” or “2007 OR10” (or in some ephemerides minor planet number “225088”), the dwarf planet named after the ne’er-do-well Chinese Dragon Gonggong is about Intrusive Memories. It Stands Still at 7:28 am PST November 21, in 4 Pisces. While the connection is fading, Gonggong has been hanging out near dwarf planet Nessus (Abuse and Privilege) for the last several years. This year their Stations are four days and eight Degrees apart, but with Nemesis, an Out-of-Bounds Moon, and a Scary Full Moon Eclipse involved, they’re very likely to Test the progress we’ve been making on Clearing our Abuse Issues. Two key strategies to Remember: (1) That was Then and This is Now and (2) Don’t Trust Your Thoughts about Your Feelings – Keep Coming Back to the Emotion Itself, as a Sensation in Your Body. Sink your Breath and your Attention Deeply into that Sensation, and Persistently Reject the Temptation to Trust Your Ideas and Thoughts More Than You Trust the Sensations in Your Body. If you succeed at quieting the Noise in your Mind, the Sensations will eventually talk to you, but they’ll speak through your Unitary and Multidimensional Intuition, not through your Dualistic Mind. Love Is the Answer

A reader and friend and Healer always signs their emails with “Love is the answer whatever the question,” and that’ll pretty much be the theme for July, and if we make it through July Alive, for the rest of our Lives.

We interpret asteroid Sappho as Self-Love and its obverse, Self-Judgment. Self-Judgment happens when our Self-Love is Lit Up but we’re Rejecting it. If we can Learn to Be Loving with our Self-Judgment and with ourself when we’re in Self-Judgment, and make it an automatic Habit, we’ll Expand our progress Exponentially toward Enlightenment, Ascension, 5D, Harmony and Understanding, Sympathy and Trust Abounding, World Peace, Apple Pie, and All Things Wonderful. We regard this as the Single Most Important Thing that we can do toward that end. We even regard it as the Most Important Thing we can do for our Health and Vitality.

Long-time readers know that we focus in this blog on the Stations of the planets. As we all go ’round the Sun, as we appear to do, each planet travels at a different speed, and therefore sometimes pass one another. If you’ve ever noticed – as a passenger, not as a driver – that when you pass another car on the freeway and continue to go faster than it is, the other car appears to be going backwards (if you’re the driver, everyone wants you to keep your eyes on the road ahead!). The same happens when we pass another planet, or it passes us. When a planet appears to be going backwards, astrologers say that the planet is “Retrograde.”

Many astrologers pay attention to Retrograde motion, and to the subtle differences it makes in how the planet influences the Affairs of Hupers and other Earthly Entities. We pretty much Ignore that, as I’ve found in my many decades of following astrology that, except in special cases, it’s not that big a deal to me. Or it’s too subtle for me, which is fine with me, since I like to keep my eye on the Big Picture. On the other hand, what we Do pay Attention to in this blog, are the Transitions that planets make between Direct and Retrograde motion, and back again. We and other astrologers refer to this Transition as a Station, because in the process the planet becomes Stationary in the Sky.

When we speak in English instead of astrologuese, we often refer to a Station as an Exaggeration of the planet’s Energy. So we might say that there’s an “Exaggeration of Self-Love or Self-Judgment (asteroid Sappho Stationary),” or when we slip into astrologuese, “Station of Sappho (Exaggeration of Self-Love or Self-Judgment),” or the like. We pay Attention to planetary Stations because the impact that a planet has on us Earthlings is much Stronger when the planet is Stationary. This makes it Easier to Learn about the planet and its Tricks, and it’s especially important when the Station happens to fall close to one of our natal planets, because it will Trigger whatever Karma or Unfinished Business that we have with the Energy embodied by that natal planet. If we really Learn to Be Loving with our Self-Judgment and with ourself when we’re in Self-Judgment, and make it an automatic Habit, we can Clear whatever untoward Karma we have with that Energy, quite possibly for good.

All of which is a long way of saying that the first Station of July is a Sappho Station, on 8 July 2021 (3:45 pm PDT), in 28 Aquarius. So this coming week will give us the Opportunity to Clear any Negative Karma we have around any natal planet we have within several Degrees of 28 Aquarius. To a lesser extent, we can also use it to Clear Negative Karma around natal planets we have near 28 Degrees of any of the other “Fixed” or Stabilizing Signs (Leo, Scorpio, and Taurus). All we have to do is to Be Loving with our Self-Judgments and with ourself when we’re in Self-Judgment.

We can’t just suddenly Love what we Judge, because your Deeper You will know you’re just scamming it. The first thing we can do, is Love ourself while we’re in Judgment. We can try Tapping “Even though I’m in Judgment, I deeply and completely Love and Accept Myself…” That should bring your Mental Body into better Alignment with your Energy Body. You want to repeat that Tapping as many times as it takes to feel solid about yourself. From there you can begin to work with What it is you Judge about them. Use all of your Critical Observer Skills, but try to Avoid your Analysis Skills. For me, “Even though I Judge Greed, I deeply and completely Love and Accept Myself…” might come next. Probably good to Change the Subject and give it a rest around this point, and check back in tomorrow or the next day. We have all month after all.

We assign the Sappho Station to highlight the whole month of July not only because Love is The Most Important Thing and Love doesn’t happen without Self-Love, but also because after Sappho there are six other planetary Stations in July, and five of them are within three Degrees of the Station of Sappho, plus seven Sign Changes, which occur two Degrees away. That’s a huge Emphasis on the Cusps between the Signs, which are about Changes.

The Impact of a Station is Strongest in the week prior to the Station, but it remains Strong in the week or so afterward as well. The Impact often Peaks when the planet Stands Still, but it can be Felt before or after, depending on interactions with other planets, and interactions with your natal planets. The other Stations…

• Exaggerated Rebirth (dwarf planet Haumea Stationary 11 July 5:54 am PDT, in 27 Libra). To the extent we succeed in Loving our way through the Sappho Station, this Portal could take us to places we’ve only Dreamed of.
• Exaggerated Boundaries (asteroid Pallas Stationary 14 July 12:40 am PDT, in 28 Pisces). Time to harden Boundaries with the folks who have been sharing our Pity Party about how Abused we’ve been by those we’ve been Judging, and Soften our Boundaries yet more with the Parts of ourself that have been propping up our Ego with pride about our Judgments. NOT to soften our Boundaries with those whom we’ve been Judging. We still may not Like those people, and we don’t want to be Self-Abusive about all this. We mostly want to Recover the Parts of ourself that we’ve been Rejecting, see if we can Befriend them and Negotiate a Win-Win with them, and see where that leads.

We also Reset our Relationships (Venus Conjunct Mars 13 July 6:32 am PDT, in 20 Leo) on the same day as we Reorganize our Boundaries. What a “Coincidence”! 20 Leo is “Zuni Indians perform a Ritual to the Sun: A return to the glorification of natural energies.” Hallelujah!

• Possible Exaggerated Despair (Chiron Stationary 15 July 9:40 am PDT, in 13 Aries). Note that this isn’t close to our 28 Degree Hot Spot, but we’re talking about some potentially devastating Ego Deaths here, and Discouragement lingering in the background can hardly be helpful. Remember your Self-Empathy (“You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Horrible, aren’t you ” – then Change the Subject), as it Creates Miracles that will mesh with this Rebirth beautifully, and probably Ecstatically.
• Exaggerated Guilt (asteroid Nemesis Stationary 18 July 1:06 pm PDT, in 29 Scorpio). We’ve been Confused by this since early April, when Nemesis went Retrograde in mid-Sagittarius (the Way Out is through Letting Go) and fell back into Scorpio (the Way Out is through Diving Deeper, till we Get to the Bottom of This) on 24 June. Nemesis has been in Scorpio (Compulsively Wallowing in our Guilt) since 26 October, and what a Healing Crisis that always is! It will move back into Sagittarius “for good” on 11 August, and what a Relief that will be! Meanwhile, be sure to be Loving with your Guilt, and with yourself while you’re in Guilt. Later we’ll Tap this out like we’re doing with Judgment.
• Exaggerated Revelation of What’s Been Denied (dwarf planet Eris Stationary 20 July 2:08 am PDT, in 25 Aries). What a “Coincidence” that Eris would Light Up while we’re working with the Parts of ourself that we haven’t Acknowledged.
• Exaggerated Fate, and if we’re Conscious, its obverse, Choice (asteroid Moira Stationary 22 July 9:12 pm PDT, in 29 Pisces). Another remarkable “Coincidence,” that our Fate (ie, our Karma) should be Lit Up just as we’re Clearing that very Karma. What a Gift this is. Notice that this is the same location as our earlier Pallas (Boundaries) Station. It’s a good time to recall that our Karma/Fate is a Political Fiction that disappears as soon as we Bring it into Consciousness, and do the hard work of Noticing that it’s been Screwing Up that part of our Life too! while we Patiently and Consciously Replace it with New Habits.
• Exaggerated Growth in Consciousness (asteroid Juno Stationary, 2 August 4:23 pm PDT, 9 Sagittarius). Another remarkable “Coincidence” – Growth in Consciousness is exactly what’s needed to Revert our Negative Karma.

Plus, we have seven Sign Changes, which of course also occur close to our Open Wound at 28 Degrees, and three of which are moving into the Sign of Ego Death (Virgo)…

What is Unconscious is outside of our sphere of Healthy Control. Living from Unconsciousness, we’re Victims of our Fate and Karma. What is Conscious is subject to Choice. Consciousness doesn’t necessarily give us the Power, by ourself, to Change the World. But it does actually give us the Power to Change our World…

All of which doesn’t mean that our Abuse Memories (and our Outrage at Ongoing Personal and Global Abuse) won’t be Lit Up. Dwarf planets Gonggong (Intrusive Memories) and Eris (Revelation of What’s Been Denied), which abet Nessus in evoking our Abuse PTSD, haven’t been Lit Up brightly by our current Klotho/Eclipse/Nessus action, but Gonggong will be Lit Up by our 19-20 June Manifestation Adventures (simultaneous Stations of Makemake [Manifestation], Jupiter [Expansion], and Lachesis [Consciously Letting Go of Karma]). Every evocation of our Abuse PTSD is an Opportunity to Change our Programming from Revulsion to Healing. I don’t Believe that knowledge about how to make that Change is available before-hand. We just have to PIAVA the Outcome we Want, and then let it Arrive on its own.

End of an Era I

I’ll start by apologizing to everyone to whom I owe correspondence – the World is moving too fast for me to even keep up with this blog, let alone many other things, so I’m having to Prioritize (I obviously should be checking what’s going on with my Saturn [The Most Important Thing], but I “don’t have time”¹), and my Introverted Self² is taking charge.

There’s a New Paradigm Starting (New Moon) on 11 April 2021 (7:31 pm PDT) and an Emphasis on Growth in Consciousness (Station of asteroid Juno) on 12 April (3:13 am PDT), in 23 Aries and 25 Sagittarius, respectively.

The New Moon is Merged With Revelation of What’s Been Denied (Conjunct dwarf planet Eris). We usually think Denial is about the “Bad” – What We Don’t Really Appreciate about Ourself, but it can also be about the “Good” – Our Emotional Limitations, which our Limiting Beliefs Rationalize into the Unconscious. The latter is usually Karmic, ie, derived from Serious PTSD or Consequential Decisions³ in a former Lifetime, and reinforced through a long chain of subsequent Lifetimes.

So we already know two things. First, we’re Encountering and having to Embrace Information that we don’t usually have available to us (Eris-New Moon), and second, It Will Turn Out to Be a Big Blessing (Trine to Juno in Sagittarius).

The third thing we need to know is that Some of our Karma has reached its Expiry Date and it’s being Replaced (Eris-New Moon Opposite asteroid Klotho [Starting New Karmic Patterns], T-Squared by asteroid Atropos [Old Karmic Patterns Expiring on their Own]).

An additional Blessing, and the fourth thing we need to know, is that the Challenge to Recognize and Let Go Of Obsolete Karma that has Expired (Atropos T-Square) is actually Self-Resolving (a Diamond Star, consisting of a Finger of the Goddess [green wedge] pointing to the Apex of the T-Square [red triangle], which creates a Basket of Grace [the blue cat’s cradle under the Opposition of the T-Square]; Juno and Jupiter form the base of the Finger, and the Basket), meaning that the more you can Avoid Acting or Deciding to Change anything, the more smoothly the Karma will Leave of its own accord…

Asteroid Lachesis, as Differentiated from asteroid Atropos, is about Opportunities for us to Discontinue Reinforcing Karmic Patterns that we Choose to Reject. All Karma is actually Dead. It’s Renewed only by our being so Habituated to it that we Freak Out when we fail to Encounter it…

All Habits are Strengthened by Repetition, and Weakened by Repetition of Alternatives, Karma no less so than any other Habit. Asteroid Atropos, in contrast to Lachesis, is about Karma that Expires on it’s own accord. Such Karma can persist if we Continue to Repeat the old Habit, but sooner or later that gets Boring, we get Distracted, we stop Noticing that it’s Missing, and it melts away. Years later, we might be shocked to Remember, “Wow, I’d Forgotten that used to do That all the time! “

The fifth thing we need to know is that Confusion is likely to be Prominent (Neptune [Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity] Squares Stationary Juno [Emphasis on Growth in Consciousness]).

Not only that, but we’ll also be Confused about our Anger (Out of Bounds Mars [Exaggerated Emotion and Action, especially Anger] Conjoins [is Merged With] Out of Bounds dwarf planet Asbolus (Strong Intuition] and the pair Opposes Stationary Juno, Creating a Neptune [Confusion] T-Square [Big Challenge]).

The Habit of Responding to Confusion as an Emotion and Tolerating it without having to Change it, instead of Interpreting Confusion as a sign that our Intellect needs to Figure Something Out, is a Skill that anyone who’s interested in Personal Growth needs to Initiate and Develop through Repetition.

To untangle our Confusion about our Anger, I recommend that we pair Theta with Tapping. Anger can helpfully Alert us to places where we need to Set a Boundary (Intuition), and it can also be an Unproductive Hangover from unexpressed Frustration or unacknowledged Karmic Judgment (Unconscious Bias). To Discriminate between the two, Theta that your Anger be Replaced with Motivation toward Constructive Action (such as “I Command that my Anger be Neutralized by Plans for Constructive Action“), where “Constructive” is a Mutually Respectful Negotiation between yourself and the apparent Object of your Anger, or a Mutually Respectful Outcome toward which you can Contribute, through Prayer or Action. “Constructive” doesn’t include miserable Deaths for all of your Enemies.

If the Show Me! phase of your Theta doesn’t demonstrate obvious Mutual Respect, then you need to Tap Out your Anger as many times as are required to return you to your Neutral Self. Then Theta again. If you still aren’t Shown Mutual Respect, repeat the Tapping and Theta sequence until you are. Given the rest of the New Moon chart, it’s highly likely that part of your Anger is Karmic, and where that’s the case you won’t Liberate yourself from it’s Yoke in a few minutes. You may need to Theta and Tap for days, and more.

The sixth thing we need to know, is that we can convert our Confusion Challenges to Self-Resolution by adding the Energy of the minor planet Thereus (which, at 25 Leo, will Convert the Neptune T-Square to a Diamond Star). We encountered the Bear-Wrestling Thereus in January. The consensus among Ego astrologers seems to interpret Thereus as a Predator. I don’t see it in the Discovery chart, with its complete Grand Sextile, Grand Quintile, 11-part Almost-Grand Unx, Quaoar/Ixion-to-Vesta/Chaos Yin Gate Mystery School, and at least three Yods, telling us to Pay Attention! to Thereus-Klotho, South Node, and asteroid Narcissus. Thereus looks more like a Remarkable Teacher to me. Here’s my draft sketch of its 9 August 2001 Discovery chart – Thereus is at 4 Pisces…

I recommend that Intention would be an excellent Tool to Animate an internal or external Remarkable Teacher to help you Neutralize your Resistance to Accepting Confusion as a Valuable Emotion and the First Step toward Growth of Consciousness. Our Mental Concept Set is our Primary Defense against Ego Death – this allows us to Respond to Ego Threats by being Certain that It Doesn’t Make Sense, because it doesn’t fit into our Concept Set. So the first thing we need to do to Grow our Consciousness, is to blow a hole in our Concept Set, which is the Natural Role of Confusion, if we Respect it As It Is, and Allow it to Exist thataway.

Everyone is both, in different ratios, but most of us lean one way or the other. According to David Keirsey’s and Marilyn Bates’s Please Understand Me, only 25% of Hupers are Introverts, and since Extroverts Believe that Introversion is a Disease, there isn’t much hope. The dynamic is created and preserved because elementary-school Teachers are all Extroverts – or they couldn’t stand to do what they do. However, Keirsey and Bates were writing in 1978, and I don’t know if those 25%-75% proportions of People have been empirically updated since.

³ Karma is Initiated when we make a Vow or Oath or Promise or Decision that has Life-or-Death (Physically or Egoically) Consequences, then Forget that we made such a Decision, and end up Believing that the Decision, rather than something we Chose, is Just the Way the World Is. We Forget semi-intentionally, because it’s the best way to assure that we don’t slip up and accidentally Betray our Oath, since such a Betrayal could get us Dead.

If you think about it, you should be able to Remember many situations in your Childhood where you Deliberately Forgot a Decision, in order to put a halt to Threats of Abandonment by your Family or Significant Others. As children, Abandonment is Life-or-Death. For instance, I was in my late 30s before I discovered (by reading Keirsey&Gates’s book) that my Thinking Persona was an artificial overlay intended to Suppress my native Feeling Persona because the latter was unacceptable to my Father. I Loved and Admired my Father, and worked hard to Earn his Acceptance.

Warmup for the Digital Age 2

Sheila asks, “So does the Age of Aquarius start Monday?”

The answer is, “Kinda sorta.” The Digital Age lasts about 2 Centuries, while the Age of Aquarius spans more than 21 Centuries. It’s a lot harder to pinpoint a Threshold for a 21-Century Cycle than a 2-Century one. We’re using the term “Digital Age” to apply to a time period very specifically bounded by astrology, and we’re labeling it based on Huper History and Herstory.

The Age of Aquarius is astronomically bounded. We know how long the Ages are (given certain assumptions), but if we have a firm date for when the current 25,920-year Great Year began, I don’t know what it is. I know there’s a lot of disagreement and many estimates, which vary by Millennia. It’s okay with me if you consider the Aquarian Age to begin on Monday. We could also choose the beginning of the 21st Century, or the first performance of Hair.

If I was going to research a firm date on an unlimited budget, I’d have AI review all of the World’s news media for the last many years, and score all news reports on whether they emphasized Intellectual Issues (Aquarius) more than they emphasized Emotional Issues (Pisces), examine the results by daily average to see if they described a smooth curve, and if so choose the year when Intellectual Issues first dominated. If they didn’t describe a smooth curve, I’d look for modes (clusters of similar data), and if none emerged, I’d say it was N/A.

Aquarius is Fixed Air, so it’s not just more Intellectual, it’s also more Opinionated. The 1/1/2000 chart foresaged Polarization, which has been the case in spades, as folks Confuse their Immutable Truth of the Heart (asteroid Aletheia) with their Debatable Truth of the Head (asteroid Veritas) and get sucked into Life-or-Death Ego-Association with Ideas, forgetting that everyone’s Truth of the Heart is Unique, and everyone is a Front for an Immortal Soul, so Killing them will only prolong the Agony of Ego-Association. Pity that the greatest Joy some Hupers seem to savor is Self-Righteousness.

However, these Polarized Opinions are all heavily Emotionalized, so I’d have to suppose that we’re still in a Transition period of indeterminate length. If the Digital Age produces a Lie Detector that gives binary answers that everyone Trusts, then, Perish the Thought, we might be able to definitively declare Aquarius to have arrived, though we’d have to rename it the Age of ‘Bots. We may have to anyway, if Ray Kurzweil has it right.

While we refer to it as Truth of the Head, our Intellectual Truths are really Truth of the Solar Plexus, because that’s where Thought is actually Centered. Small wonder that Thought is Confused with Anger, Judgment, and Hatred. Blame Descartes and Newton and everyone else who Believes that Thought can be dissected out of the Whole and become anything except a small bloody chunk of a Corpse, or a dead Butterfly impaled on a pin. You won’t be far off to envision an Argument as two people plucking out their giblets and throwing them at each other.

Sign Changes

Last time we mentioned that a number of planets Change Signs as the ~Aquarian Digital Age begins…

Asteroid Lachesis is named after the Greek Goddess of Fate whose job it was to Measure the Length of your Karmic TimeLines. Each Karmic Habit you brought into your current Lifetime came with an Expiry Date. Well, we know that Karma is Dead, so how does that work? If we’re Unconscious of a Karmic Pattern, it defaults to our Fate.

Once we become Conscious that we’re Repeating an Obsolete Habit that doesn’t really serve us in our current Lifetime, then we can Choose an Alternative rather than continuing to “beat that Dead Horse” all over again. Since we’re Addicted to our Karma because it’s What We Know and what we’re Comfortable with, we’d have some Inertia to overcome, but again, with Awareness and Motivation we can do that.

So we give ourselves the Benefit of Consciousness and interpret Lachesis as Consciously Choosing to Shift our TimeLines, where a TimeLine is anything that unfolds in Time – a Habit, a Job, a Relationship, a Trip, a Nap, a Residence, or a Jail Term. Lachesis is a kind of Get Out of Jail Free card, if you’ve ever played Monopoly.

Asteroid Atropos is the Goddess who actually Cuts the Lachesian Chords. So Atropos is about TimeLines that end on their own, without our Conscious intervention. Maybe. Karma is addictive, so we can sleep through an Atroposian alarm. We’d probably eventually wonder why in the devil we did that and Choose to shift the Momentum.

On 15 December 2020 (2:40 pm PST), Lachesis moved from Libra (Meeting Other) to Scorpio (Getting to the Bottom of Things). It was in Libra for only three months, but it’ll stay in Scorpio for almost a year, as it does Remediation (Retrogradation) next Spring. So you’ve been Inconvenienced in your Relationships with Others for the last several months.

You’ve probably been Blaming it on the Custardovirus, or on dastardly abrogations of your precious FREEDOM to not have to wear a Mask, but in Scorpio you’ll be searching everywhere for what it was that got you so upset, especially if you inadvertently kill somebody with your callousness. We hide our True Feelings every day, yet we object to wearing a physical Mask? Maybe it’s because a Mask inhibits our Ability to Manipulate others with disingenuous facial Expressions. No Accusation, just a Speculation or even a Projection – what’s True for you is for you to Discover through your Scorpionic Deep Dives next year.

Asteroid Juno (Growth in Consciousness) left Scorpio for Sagittarius on 18 December (9:20 am PST), which should make our Lessons Feel a lot Easier. Juno’s timetable is similar to that of Lachesis – it was in its prior Sign (Scorpio) for only about three months, but it stays in its new Sign (Sagittarius) for most of 2021, with Remedial work (Retrogradation) during the summer.

I’d guess we’ve been clawing at our scabs for the last several months while Juno was in Scorpio, to try to Expose as many Limiting Beliefs as we could find, so we could carry less Baggage into a Digital Age where who knows how much of Life might become Virtual. Much of our Life is already Lived through Fantasy anyway. Sagittarius is Mutable (Changeable, as in Mutation) Fire (Spirit), so it’s the Sign where we Let Go of what we no longer need for protecting our Material Ego from Scarcity.

And of course Saturn (The Most Important Thing) on 16 December at 9am PST, and Jupiter (Expansion) on 19 December at 5am PST, waved adieu to Pragmatic Just-Fix-It Capricorn and moved into Idealistic NoNotThatWay-ThisIsHowToFixIt Aquarius. It’s Catty of me I know, but I imagine Aquarians sitting in a bar arguing about how to Fix Society. We have the poster child for Fixed Air (Rigid Ideology) in the US Congress.

To be Honest, we have to wonder what planets have been in Aquarius for the last while already, as Congress has been unable to Negotiate with itself at least since the Tea Party came ashore, if not since Newt crawled out from under his rock. Asteroid Aletheia (The Heart’s Truth) has been in Aquarius since April 2020, which makes sense relative to the closure of the Federal purse since the March CARIES Act. Asteroid Pallas (Boundaries) has been in Aquarius since Indigenous Peoples’ Day, 7 December, and will be till April 2021.

But actually, if Hupers Learn to differentiate their Heart-Truth from their SolarPlexus-Truth and find the nanobit of Awareness and Empathy necessary to look in the Mirror and see how Upset they get when someone else Forces foreign Beliefs on them, and then Realize how Odious it must be for them to Force their Beliefs on Others (Duh!), they might Loosen Up a bit. Pour me another before closing time, ok? – an Aquarian anal-ysis if there ever was one. Aquarius is completely capable of figuring this out, it’s just my cynicism about Huperity that Limits my Optimism.

I get it, that’s my Karmic Pattern that, if I don’t look in the Mirror, will lock me into a Future of Competition to the Death. I’ll have to turn it around, so I can Manifest a Future of Peace and Collaboration and let the rest of the Hupers Manifest whatever they want in their own back yards. You know the First Law of Manifestation, Whosoever Farts in Church, sits in their own Pew. Or is that the Law of Karma. Can’t be, that one’s been Repealed.

Saturn averages two and a half years in each Sign, and Jupiter one year. Saturn in Aquarius should Teach us that The Most Important Thing is to Avoid Taking our Metaphors Literally. That’s the definition of Fundamentalism, and it applies to just about everybody, including us if we don’t constantly Let Go of our Natural tendency to want to have Burnt Umber clearly differentiated from Beige (Black and White are no longer PC).

What’s difficult to remember is that It’s All Metaphor. Even with our Best Multidimensional Intuition and our Most Outrageous Channelings, we Perceive such a tiny sliver of Reality, that while our Heart’s Truth defines Our Own Values, it doesn’t have anything to say about the Nature of Reality. Our Solar Plexus-Truth is even less descriptive, even though it’s Useful for helping us find Food and Shelter.

Saturn’s last sojourn in Aquarius was 1990-1993. Remember Daddy-Bush’s First Gulf War? Collapse of the USSR? The End of Apartheid? The first breath of the World Wide Web?

Jupiter in Aquarius can lead us to Tolerate, and even Embrace, Cognitive Dissonance, the Practice of being able to hold Contradictory Beliefs in mind, as equally Valid, at the same time. Huper Mind Perceives Duality, Either/Or, while Reality is Unitary and Multifarious, or Both/And. If we Allow our Thinking to Define our Concepts about Reality, we’ll never escape Judgment, and Love Dissolves when Judgment Replaces Curiosity.

We don’t get to 5D without Unconditional Self-Love, so Embracing Cognitive Dissonance is a Critical Skill. Every Perspective contains valuable information (even Mask Denial), so we can’t afford to Reject any of them, even though we probably want to rank them in order of their Utility.

Jupiter last visited Aquarius in 2008-2009. Hard to believe that was a dozen years ago. We had the H1N1 Swine Flu. Obama took over to sweep up the shards of the US Economy after the Derivative Crisis, often misnamed the Housing Crisis. Sully landed in the Hudson. And Bitcoin took its first breath.

Easy to forget in Light of the Jupiter-Saturn “Christmas Star,” but of course the Sun moves out of Sagittarius and into Capricorn at 2:05 am PST on 21 December. Our Perception of our own Essence should become less Scattered and more Pragmatic. That’ll be welcome.

Dwarf planet Ixion (Forbidden or Hidden Unique Genius) sticks its toe back into Capricorn on 27 December (1:20 am PST), for the second of three times as it stutters it’s way out of Sagittarius. It enters Capricorn “for good” (till next time, 250 years hence) in November 2021. We’ve hopefully used its 15-year passage through Sagittarius to Let Go Of our Inhibitions on Allowing it to Exist and Bloom, so we can use its 19-year trip through Capricorn Putting It To Work Healing the Planet, or at least building a very large Ark.

Cusps are tricky. Planets that are four Signs apart (Trine, Dumb-Luck Grace) get on well with one another because they share the same element – Water to Water and Fire to Fire. Planets that are three Signs apart (Square, Challenge) create Stress because they don’t share the same element – Air to Earth or Water to Fire. But look at these Cuspy Angles in the Saturn-Jupiter Initiation chart above…

Sedna to Karma is three Signs (with a little slop) so it should be Difficult, yet it’s Earth to Earth (Taurus to Virgo), which should make it Easier.

Moon to Juno is four Signs so it should be Easy, yet it’s Water to Fire (Pisces to Sagittarius), which should be more Difficult.

Some of each, perhaps? Both/And? An Opportunity to Practice our Cognitive Dissonance? Maybe a completely new kind of Relationship, neither Easy nor Difficult, but Orthogonal to that Dimension? A Paradox?

Warmup for the Digital Age

Jupiter and Saturn are considered the “Social Planets” – the Inner Planets are more or less in charge of Personal Character, and the Outer Planets in charge of the goings-on in the Underwhere. Which, even though it underlies everything, is kind of a Freudian Perspective – we could instead be calling it the Overwhere, as we agree with Jung’s Perspective that the “Unconscious” provides a map to our Wholeness, Integration, Coherence, Enlightenment, Ascension, 5D, nD. It’s a Puzzle Map, not a “Turn Left in 32 Feet” kind of Guide, because if it was so Easy, who would Value it? Hupers are like that.

Many people are in stiff Resistance to this sort of notion, however, so I’ve always found it easier on everyone to assume that some folks are inherently Jungian, and some inherently Freudian. That way we never have to argue with anybody about whether or not they Roll Their Own.

The Political Economy is one of the stalwarts of Society (one of the warts as well of course), and the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunctions fall into 180-year Cycles that have a reputation for being heavily involved in the Political Economy. Jupiter laps Saturn every twenty years, and seven of their Conjunctions occur (and Cycles Begin) in the same Element, then they toggle, then seven in the next element. Like people, we characterize Cycles by the Sign they were born under. Notice we have Columbus and his fellow Colonialists and Thieves Sailing the Ocean Blue during the Age of Water, and Revolution common in the Age of Fire. The Industrial Age was filled with Coal and Iron and Oil and Mechanicals, Stuff of the Earth. The Digital Age will be all about Electromagnetism and Robotics and Stuff of the Mind – as was our 1980-2000 Preview of it.

The IBM PC was introduced in 1980, and the Dot-Com Crash occurred in 2000, both almost to the day of the Conjunctions. A large swath of Kansas (at high altitude) was reserved today for testing of a new generation of commercial supersonic aircraft. Musk and Bezos will be shooting their tin cans to Mars. The electromechanical technological leaps in the coming century-plus will make the 1980s and 1990s look like kindergarden. Unfortunately the next Water Age won’t be about Sailing the Ocean Blue, it’ll be about the Ocean Blue coming to live in our neighborhoods.

The Digital Age starts in earnest at 10:21 am PST 21 December 2020 Saturn-Jupiter Initiation, aka the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction. Conjunctions frequently repeat (as the faster planet turns Retrograde), and it’s the first Conjunction of a sequence that begins a Cycle. We call it a Faster planet-Slower planet Conjunction because the Faster planet is overtaking the Slower planet. And we call it a Slower planet-Faster planet Initiation because at the Initial Conjunction the Slower planet plays the role of the Shaman or Guru or Mentor, conferring Shaktipat on the Faster Planet and giving it an assignment till they meet again. The Faster planet does the Bidding of the Slower planet.

We read the character of a Cycle by reading the chart of the Initiation. When we read the 21 December Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction, which we’ll do soon, it will be a reading about the political economy and social milieu of the next twenty years. There are several Sign Changes this week that we’ll need to talk about, which we intend to do soon, because they’re laying the foundation for the New Cycle – including Saturn and Jupiter entering Air Sign Aquarius. Saturn enters at 9am PST 16 December, and Jupiter at 5am PST 19 December. And of course the Sun enters Capricorn at 2:05 am PST 21 December, defining the Capricorn Solstice, aka the Northern Winter Solstice and the Southern Summer Solstice, when the Sun goes Stationary and our Essence is particularly Strong.

Asteroids Lachesis (Finishing Karmic TimeLines) and Juno (Growth in Consciousness), and dwarf planet Ixion (Our Hidden and Often Forbidden Unique Genius) also Change Signs this week, and the Exaggeration (Station) of asteroid Karma (Karma) dominates the rest of the week, giving us a chance to move into the New Age with a Clean Slate if we’re willing to Let Go of our Karmic Identities and Attachments.

Handmaids and Handbaskets

Other than the fact that it actually is, there are several astroenergies about these days that can “make” us feel like the World is going to Hell in a Handbasket.

On 22 October 2020 for instance, asteroid Vesta, which symbolizes our Unconscious and Semi-Conscious Limiting Beliefs, entered Virgo, which, representing as it does Ego Death, is big on Criticism. Without Self-Criticism, where would our Motivation arise to propel us into Ego Death? — Which ranges from mostly Unpleasant to, more commonly, I’d rather Die than Do That! In between Self-Criticism and Ego Death, before we muster the Motivation to Actually Change, we Protect our Ego by Projecting our Self-Criticisms onto Others.

When we base our Ego on our Pet Peeves – “I’m not one of those People who…” – we can’t really say that our Limiting Beliefs are Unconscious, we just don’t Own them. So we have to refer to them as Semi-Conscious. If we put some thought into it, and/or enlist our Honest friends, we could all easily catalog our “Unconscious” Limiting Beliefs. They aren’t hidden. They’re writ huge in the current Political Polarity, where some folks are Choosing Homicide over Ego Death. The people with a Compulsive need to Control your Behavior preach about Freedom, while the people who are Compelled to Do what they Want preach about Control.

In my own back yard, I’m Praying that all of the ways my father predicted my Failures are Lit Up because They’re Leaving Town, not because they’re coming home to roost. Meanwhile I’m sure wasting a lot of Energy Fighting them Off. I should be Accepting them, not because he was right about me, but because I have to Accept them as Self-Criticisms before I can Motivate my own Ego Death and Let Them Go for good. Till then I’m driven by the Trance that his repeated disdain installed in the Unconscious that I Live with.

Because I Experienced his Energy as a wet blanket on mine, I used to think that his Saturn must be on my Sun. Once I knew how to check though, I discovered that it’s my Saturn that was on his Sun! Growing up in the Depression, where there were always a hundred people lined up to take whatever job he could get, he had to suppress the Lightheartedness of his Gemini Sun in order to avoid being seen as a flibbertigibbet. Growing up as I did in the 50s and 60s, after his Generation had busted their butts to rebuild a World Economy (not that it’s a solid measure of anything, but it wasn’t until 1954 that the stock market exceeded its 1929 high), my own Gemini Saturn flibbertigibbet was a source of Pride.

Since we’re only a Deflation-Delaying Ongoing Heroic Monetary Stimulus or a Hyperinflation away from our next Great Depression – many are already there – it’s appropriate that my father’s Information would emerge for me now from the Unconscious. I even had a vivid dream yesterday of setting up a homeless camp for myself in an empty corner of a strip mall. My camp wasn’t protected from rain or cold, it had no latrine or provision for food or sleep, but because it featured what have more or less been prize possessions for me for much of my Life, I was happy with it. Bookcases! It was made of Empty Bookcases. Clap your hands! Till strangers feigning Authority started prying them apart looking for contraband and woke me up.

So Virgo will be Lighting Up all of our Self-Limiting Beliefs, until mid-July 2021. Mostly we’ll Experience these as Judgments of Other People. It’s Safe to assume that whatever we Judge in Others is a caricature of an important part of Ourself that we don’t Allow to Express itself. These caricatures are Funhouse Mirrors and are seldom easy to decypher, especially anal-ytically. Since we’ve banished them to Live in the Unconscious, we’re more likely to find success by PIAVAing them.

We may be particularly Open to Insight around 9-10 November, as Vesta is Strong then (Standing Still), while the Moon crosses it. That begins our real Ego Death Curriculum, as Vesta enters what astrologers call its “Shadow Period,” the window of its Retrogradation. Between 9 November 2020 and 27 June 2021, Vesta Dances across 7-22 Virgo three times. If this process unfolds like it often does, our Troublesome Semi-Conscious Evil Twins will Act Out between 9 November 2020 and 19 January 2021. They may be especially Active around 7 December and 4 January, when the Moon visits Vesta.

Vesta first crosses 7 Virgo on 9 October, and then on 19 January, in 22 Virgo, it turns Retrograde and starts moving Backwards. It Retrogrades from 22 back to 7 Virgo until 20 April 2021. During this period we should be gaining Insight into our Projected Self-Judgments, with a boost from the Moon around 1 and 27 February and 26 March.

Finally, after 20 April, we enter the “Confidence-Building” phase, as Vesta moves forward (“Direct”) again, crossing 7-22 Virgo for the third time – by then we’ll have become “Old Hands” at using Ego Death to Claim our Projected Self-Judgments as Our Own, and if we Succeed we’ll be much closer to the Unconditional Self-Love that we need to move into The Light. The Moon will again Clarify things around 23 April, 20 May, and 17 June, and we Graduate from the whole Retrograde Adventure on 27 June 2021.

And when any planet Dances across the same patch of astrological surreal estate thrice, it’s going to get pretty Intimate with any other planet that happens to be Dancing in that same patch at the same time. So, anybody Sitting Around in the middle half of Virgo these days?

Yes, dwarf planet Orcus. “Does anybody remember Orcus,” as Robert Plant famously almost sang? The Fearsome Mythic Orcus worked for the Pre-Romans, Punishing Oath-Breakers. With Women closer to Property than People in those days, Relationship Oaths weren’t the Issue so much as Loyalty Oaths for soldiers and servants and perhaps business dealings. The problem with Oaths, and their equivalents Vows, Promises, Commitments, and even Decisions, is that they’re Sticky. These days, many of us Swear a lot, casually. We may want to reconsider what we’re Doing there.

Since we Feared the Punishment for Oath-Breaking, we worked hard to Avoid it, and the Easiest way to do that was to “Forget” that it was a Decision (which could theoretically be Renegotiated), and instead consider it to be Just The Way Things Are. If we can succeed at that, Reneging doesn’t even seem possible. And while we may not be able to take Money with us from one Lifetime to the next, we can certainly take Attitudes. So when we Forget a Decision and it becomes Just The Way Things Are, it becomes Karma, and will Follow us around till we figure out What we need to Renounce, and How to do it.

The How is actually Easy, we just need to Realize that a Limitation isn’t Just The Way Things Are, it’s Just our Karma, and Karma is only Sticky because we’re so Comfortable thinking that it’s Just The Way Things Are. The What is a bigger question, being another Funhouse Mirror that we’re probably Projecting on Others. If we aren’t always in Abundance (Having Enough to Share) in our current Lifetime for instance, When and To Whom might “we” have Sworn an Oath of Poverty or the equivalent? Maybe that Convent in France in the 7th Century? Or was it even on Earth? Maybe we were a Coyote and felt sorry for the Squirrels.

That kind of info isn’t always the Easiest to Retrieve, especially with “Left Brain” methods. We’ll be rooting in the Unconscious, so we’ll need PIAVA again. Maybe something like a Theta – “God/Goddess, Creator of All There Is, I Command that I Connect to All of my Vows of [e.g. Poverty] in All of my Lifetimes. It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done. Thank You, God/Goddess. Show Me!” We don’t need to Remember them all – there may be a bewildering number. We just need to Flash on our Frame of Mind and Heart while we were Swearing the Oath.

Then, while we’re there, we may need some sort of Renunciation Ritual. Writing and Burning perhaps, or “Revert!“, or whatever works for you. Another Theta might work, maybe “God/Goddess, Creator of All There Is, I Command that I Now Lovingly, Gently, Rapidly, and Completely Renounce All of my Vows of [Poverty] in All of my Lifetimes. It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done. Thank You, God/Goddess. Show Me!”

If you don’t Feel a sense of Immediate Liberation, check to see if you skipped over a Yes-But or two. Then Tap Out any remaining Resistance – “Even though I have Resistance to Letting Go of [Poverty], I Deeply and Completely Love and Accept Myself…” Then repeat your Renunciation Theta, and alternate Theta and Tapping till you Feel the Liberation you Want. If it’s not working, sleep on it and try again tomorrow. We can’t always Change Lifetimes of Habit in a single sitting.

Vesta first crosses Orcus on 29 November (4pm PST), in 14 Virgo, while both planets are Direct (moving forward). Considering the Players, this may be a fairly Explosive Experience, as our Unconscious Limitation literally “Meets its Maker.” We usually refer to this first of the three events in a Triple-Crossing as a “Can-Opener,” as a Can of Worms often appears in our Life, sometimes fairly Traumatically. If you have any natal planets in mid-Virgo, that’ll Complicate matters and make the Experience more Intense.

We can often dodge Trauma just by knowing that such an event is about to occur. If, say, our natal Mars is in mid-Virgo, and wee’re Conscious that an “Event” is about to Go Off, we can be Alert for any sign that Anger or Physical Injury is about to happen, and Revert it. A few days prior, we can Theta that we’ll be particularly Alert for the next week. A few Kegels can Slow Time for us so we can be more Aware. Sometimes nothing happens just because we’re Aware. Even if a Trauma sneaks up on us, as they often do, knowing what was going on astrologically can help us interpret “our own” role in the event and Neutralize our Victimhood.

We aren’t “Blaming the Victim” for Traumatic events, we’re Recognizing that Life is Fully Interactive. We actually Invite our Experiences, sometimes Consciously and sometimes Unconsciously. When we can Intuit or Figure Out Who in the Underwhere is Inviting our Unpleasant Experiences, we can Ask them what their Needs and Wants are, remind them of our then-Ego’s Needs and Wants, and Renegotiate with them to move toward Win-Win, where each of our “parts” is helping the other Achieve their Goals.

In this process “both of us” are usually Changed, as we move toward Knowing that We Are They and They Are Us and eventually Drop All Separation. This is the Growth in Consciousness that asteroid Juno presides over. What’s Juno got to do with all this? As we speak, Juno is Quintiling Vesta, and Quintiles (one fifth of the Zodiac or 72 Degrees) are about Teaching and Learning. On 29 November, Juno will Quintile Vesta-Orcus.

Also on 29 November, Neptune will be Standing Still (Strong) in Pisces, roughly Opposite Vesta-Orcus. Neptune likes to Confuse everything Material so we can Clearly see the Spiritual side of things. We may also be Letting Go of Abuse Patterns (Nessus Opposite Vesta-Orcus), Discovering Unexpected Heart Truths (Aletheia Quincunx V-O), Breaking Patterns that have Inhibited our Rebirth (Klotho Unx V-O), and Enjoying Clarity on Guilt and Codependence (Nemesis Sextile and Hylonome Trine V-O). We refer to the second event of a Triple-Crossing as the “Exposition,” because it usually Exposes much more about whatever occurred at the Can-Opener. At any Exposition, the faster planet (here Vesta) will be Retrograde, which will Slow whatever processes are occurring so we can see them more Clearly. In this case, Orcus will also be Retrograde. The Vesta-Orcus Exposition occurs on 13 March 2021 in 13 Virgo.

We call the final of the three crossings a “Confidence-Builder,” because by now, if we’ve been Paying Attention, we’re Experienced with the Collision and Collusion of these two Energies, and we know how to Respond. The Vesta-Orcus Confidence-Builder happens on 25 May 2021 in 12 Virgo. Orcus is Standing Still and Turning Direct (Strongest) when this occurs, so we can Expect it to be particularly Powerful.

That’s one of the astroevents that can help us feel like the World is going to Hell in a Handbasket. The other Biggie is asteroid Nemesis (Guilt and Ego Death) moving into Scorpio (Fearlessness about Getting to the Bottom of Things). That happened a few days ago, on 26 October (2:40 pm PDT). Actually, both Nemesis and Scorpio can Feel a lot more ominous than either Vesta or Virgo, so hopefully we’ll have time to write soon about how this will Unfold. Nemesis only stays in Scorpio for three months, though it returns for seven weeks next summer.

And while we’re on the subject of Sign Changes, asteroid Klotho (Beginning New TimeLines) moved into Libra (Meeting Other) on 17 October for three months. That was probably a Relief after nine weeks in Virgo, where we would have been Clearing Resistance to Being Reborn.
