Expanding into Fear II

In the 30 August 2021 Sedna Station (Emphasis on Converting Fear to Power) chart…

…we’ve adhered closely to our usual 3-Degree Sensitivity…

That’s “Orb” in astrologuese. Like most astrologers, we consider “Transiting” Angles to be Live if they’re within three Degrees of Exact; for instance, dwarf planet Cyllarus is 1 Degree and 47 Arcminutes (31:02 less 29:16 equals 1:47) from an exact Sextile to Sedna – that’s within 3 Degrees. The Sextile Angle (short blue line) connects two planets that are 2 Signs apart. “Transiting” means “in the sky now,” as opposed to “Natal,” meaning in a Birth Chart. The average Natal Sensitivity commonly used is around 8 Degrees (varying depending on the Angle – more for a Conjunction, less for an Unx). We’ll introduce Cyllarus a bit later.

On the other hand, we’ve expanded our Sensitivity a tad to 3½ Degrees in the 22 August Full Moon chart (if we round up the Degrees, as is customary in astrology, from 29:37 to 30 [=0] for the Moon, from 2:56 to 3 for Pholus, and from 26:10 to 27 for Karma, it still looks like 3 Degrees of Sensitivity – we often do this rounding up)…

We’ve omitted Jupiter (Expansion) in the Sedna station chart, but it was only 3:24 away from a Square (Challenge) to the Sedna Station. And, the 22 August Full Moon was Conjunct Jupiter, which is to say, About Expansion, so you can see why we speak of “Expanding” into Fear. A Full Moon chart applies mostly to the two weeks following the event, while a Station chart applies mostly to the week or so prior to the event, though as we said in the previous post, we expect the Sedna Station chart to influence the week after the event because of the Out of Bounds Moon.

We’ve also added several extracurricular Stars and ‘Roids to the Full Moon chart, in order to fill in some obvious Vacancies. We’ll get to that later. First, let’s look at the Sedna Station chart…

The meat of the Sedna Station chart is the Major Challenge (T-Square, the red triangle) to Becoming Aware of our Karma (Mercury/Awareness Conjunct/Merged With asteroid Karma/Karma). Becoming Aware of our Karma often involves an Ego Death, which are seldom pleasant, unless we Focus on The meat of the Sedna Station chart is the Major Challenge (T-Square, the red triangle) to Becoming Aware of our Karma (Mercury [Awareness] Conjunct [Merged With] asteroid Karma [Karma]). Becoming Aware of our Karma often involves an Ego Death, which are seldom pleasant, unless we Focus on How Wonderful Life Will Be After We Ditch Those Bummers! (Hint Hint). But the vegetables are in the Heavy Heavy base of the T-Square, which is where the Real Action often lies in a T-Square.

On one side of this Opposition (Dualistic Argument aka Politics) are Orders from Headquarters (the Galactic Center), Our Hidden and Often Forbidden Genius (dwarf planet Ixion), and That Which Will Blindside Us If We Continue to Ignore It (dwarf planet Pholus). Like Kabul and Nahlins and Waverly and the California Conflagrations, the Message from Galactic Headquarters is We’re Done Messing Around, It’s Time To Get your Creative Butt in Gear and Get This Fixed! Did Recycling save the Roman Empire from decline? Nothing on our Catastrophic Trajectory will Change until Hupers regard the Planet as a Partner rather than a Resource, regard Excess Profit as the Crime of Grand Theft that it is, and regard Social Norms as the Foundation of the Status Quo that is the Cause of the Problem. And that’s Exactly what our Forbidden Genii came here to Fix. Not far from Pholus are our Survival Instincts (dwarf planet Quaoar).

On the Other Side of this Political Duality are Our Intuition (dwarf planet Asbolus) and Our Unlimited Potential (dwarf planet Chaos). How many of us Cherish our Intuition and Practice Trusting it constantly? How many of us are Exhilarated by Unlimited Potential, and how many of us Terrified by it? On the GC-Ixion-Pholus side of the Political Divide are the Guts to tackle the Elephant in the Room, and on this Asbolus-Chaos side are all of our Yes-Buts. Yes-But it’s Scary – we could Lose our Mod Cons! We’ll Lose a lot more than that if we don’t Change the Trajectory.

Fortunately, we don’t have to do this Alone. We have Allies. There is a Truss Bridge across the Divide (the blue lines connecting GC-Ixion-Pholus, Klotho-Haumea, Eurydike-Thereus, and Asbolus-Chaos). We can Trust (Eurydike) our Ability to wrestle Bears (Thereus). And we can Trust our Recent Double Rebirth…

A Significant New Life Chapter Began (asteroid Klotho enters Scorpio) at 4:16 am PDT 26 August. Scorpio doesn’t mess around. It’s Fearlessly dedicated to Getting to the Bottom of Things. What Things? Since it’s on the cusp, it’s the same chart as the 22 August Full Moon. In that chart, it’s blocking for dwarf planet Haumea, another Strong Rebirth Signal. Pele’s daughter Haumea doesn’t make it to Scorpio, though, turning Backwards in January 2022 two arc-seconds shy of the Cusp of Scorpio. Its dallying delays Haumea’s flow of hot lava into Scorpio till mid-November 2022. Klotho has already crossed Haumea, though, Beginning a New Cycle on 14 August, a few minutes past 12 am PDT, in 28 Libra, “A person becoming aware of spiritual forces surrounding and assisting them.” The four-year Klotho-Haumea Cycle is about Rebirth upon Rebirth. We’re just getting started.

The other Powerful Allies are in the Dumb-Luck Blessings (Grand Trine) that also Touches the Mercury-Karma node. The Allies here are Fearlessness (the Sedna Station itself) and Confidence (dwarf planet Chariklo). If Doubt comes up, Let It Go immediately. You know we’re right about this. Business as Usual is rapidly making this whole Planet look like a Martian Desert. By the time Musk and Bezos get there, Mars will look Lush by comparison to Earth. That’s why Gaia threw a well-deserved fifth wave of the Moronavirus at us.

Finally, dwarf planet Cyllarus demands our Attention as it makes the Grand Trine into a Kite, with itself at the Top. Cyllarus, along with asteroid Requiem (Honoring Death) dropped in to Complete two Vacancies in the Full Moon chart, filling a Grand Sextile and a Grand Cross. He completes the Storyboard for the Sedna Station. Herakles, or Hercules, had a Zeus-given assignment to help Rid the World of Threats to the Patriarchy, especially the Mysteries left over from the Matriarchy. On his journey to this end, he bunked with the unsuspecting Centaur Pholus.

Pholus had Responsibility for safekeeping the Sacred Wine of the Centaurs, and while Pholus was out shopping at Emporos Iosif’s, Herakles Opened the unhidden Sacred Wine. Did he know what he was doing? Probably. The scent carried, and the Centaurs immediately went mad and starting killing each other and everyone in sight. Pholus, true to his habit of ignoring consequences, got dead by picking up a poison dart that had killed someone else, and clumsily dropping it on his foot. Chiron (Despair and Miracles) got the Wound that would eventually make him give up his Immortality. The third corner of the Grand Trine is Centaur Chariklo, Chiron’s wife. And distraught Centaur Hylonome (Codependence and Self-Sovereignty) killed herself with the same spear that killed her Centaur-Stud Lover. That Lover was Cyllarus.

Rebirth Full Moon III

♥ Prominent Feature Number Four is easy.  Our Merger of Instinct and Genius (Moon-Ixion Conjunct) sits in front of the Galactic Center.  That means several things.  It means that everything we’ve said should be multiplied by itself several times when we’re determining Importance.  It means that Headquarters is sick of the Petty Huper Ego screwing up our end of the Galaxy, and is making it very Clear that we need to get our Shit together instead of bathing in it.  It means that whatever Illusions we have about Making a Difference, are just Ego Trips – the notion that we’re In Charge here is a Cosmic Joke.  We just need to Surrender and Live the Best Life we can.

♥ The fifth Big Banana in the 17 June Full Moon chart is what astrologers call a “Grand Cross.”  It should be a lot Bigger Deal than it actually is, because it consists of four LifeLong Frustrations (T-Squares) back to back.  But that very back-to-backness means they actually abet one another in weird ways, so a Grand Cross person is more likely to be a High Achiever and Skilled Multi-Tasker than a Champion of Frustration.  Rather than four Frustrations, it’s more Realistic, Empirically, to look at a Grand Cross as two intertwined Dichotomies (Oppositions).

We’ve already been discussing Dichotomies, so we’re on somewhat familiar Ground.  Let’s examine each of them…

• While we’re Aware that Our Life as We Have Known It is falling apart, we’re also Conscious that Rebirth is in the air (dwarf planet Haumea Conjunct asteroid Veritas), so Ambiguity is rife.  On the other hand, we can see, with our own eyes and through the eyes of Others, that there are things in our Life that we can no longer Ignore (asteroid Klotho Conjunct dwarf planet Eris).  These seem almost Complimentary, so where is the Dichotomy?

That’s for us to Discover.  Astrology often makes synonyms Opposites, and we just have to Live with it.  For instance, we could hypothesize that our Fear about having to Face something we’ve been Ignoring is juxtaposed against our Intuitive Excitement about an Impending Future Feeling very Close at hand.  Wall Street’s maxim that a Bull Market “climbs a Wall of Worry” is a timely example.  We have no idea what’s going to Happen, but we know Something is, and it’s likely to be Big.

If we’re Comfortable with our Pluridimensional Intuition, we know that all Dichotomies are Fake News, because the Universe is a lot more complicated than that.  But if we Live in our Dualistic “Left” Brain, not knowing whether to reach for our Pinstripe Suit or our Life Jacket can be torturous.

• One end of the second Dichotomy is about Getting Conscious of the Places where we Lack Self-Love or Overestimate ourself (asteroids Sappho and Juno Conjunct).  The other end is about Questioning whether we can Trust our Self-Confidence, or Trusting it Blindly (Pluto Conjunct dwarf planet Chariklo).  If we’re in a tight situation, making a Dichotomy out of these two could either Delight us or Terrify us.  “Excellent!  I know where to beef up my Self-Love!” or “OMG, what if they Notice that I’m Faking It!”

• You can probably Imagine how the Confluence of these two Dichotomies can result in either a Nervous Breakdown, or a flurry of High-Functioning Multi-Tasking.  If we have to prepare for two possible Futures and we’re a dynamite Multi-Tasker (for example, we have a natal Grand Cross), we can stockpile Dinty Moore and Water in the garage, while we Pretend to be Hypercompetent in our make-or-break bid for the New Big-Money Client or the New Position and the Big Raise.  If we can only Focus on one Thing at once (for example, we don’t have a natal Grand Cross), we could be making a Choice, Questioning ourself, and swimming in Anxiety.

The Bottom Line is that there are very many high-profile Uncertainties in our World today.  Is it too late to sell the house at the Beach?  If I Go For Broke here will I be losing money on every transaction and hoping to make up for it on the volume?  The kids are still in school – I can’t just move to Kentucky and hope that factory doesn’t close too!  Which option will keep me out of jail and out of the hospital – Lie at the border, or tell them I’m bringing back $3,000 worth of Insulin?

♥ Well, astrology does offer a clue here (Prominent Feature #6).  One of the four corners of the Grand Gross is more of a Blessing than a Frustration (the Haumea-Veritas T-Square is a Diamond Star or Self-Resolving Challenge).  So there’s a greater probability that the Impending Rebirth that we can Sense, will Save our Ass.  The clue even suggests a Course of Action – Acknowledge our Fear of the Unknown, and Trust our Skillset to find a path out of the Wilderness if necessary (the Finger of God that converts the T-Square to a Diamond Star is based on the Sextile between dwarf planet Sedna and asteroid Karma – Remember we have Good Karma too!).

Whaddawe Make of That?

‘Twould be great if we could kick off our shoes and lean back after the last week of hard work around Abuse and Privilege, but, no dice.  Solstices are about Starting Over on something.  At the Equinoxes we Begin New Projects, and for the last couple of weeks we’ve been critiquing the Projects we began at the Ides of March.  What worked?  What didn’t?  What could be improved?  Next week we start Version 2.0, but the only thing we have to keep is What We Learned.  So Version 2 might not look anything like Version 1, but if you tease out the major Goals and Projects you’ve been working on for the last three months, you’ll probably be working on the same topics for the next three.

Northern Summer and Southern Winter will present two major Challenges, and most of us will be forced to multitask and work on both of them at once.  First of all, whatever Projects in the Material World that we’ve been working on, will get very Confusing.  It’s up to us to Recognize that Confusion is the first stage of Growth, stay Present with the Confusion, Avoid trying to Figure It Out, Focus our Attention on What We Want and NOT what we don’t Want, and then Let It Be.  If we can spend time Feeling what we Expect to Feel when we get What We Want, that’ll be like rocket fuel.  The more the better.

Second, whatever Projects in the Spiritual World that we’ve been working on, our Progress is likely to be so accelerated that we’re constantly amazed.  Go for it!  The Portal will be wide Open.  Be Mindful that we move to 5D on our own.  Some folks will come with us, some won’t.  We just have to Let Go of the ones who won’t.  By all means give them Big Blessings, but if they aren’t ready they aren’t ready.  You don’t have to Abandon them.  You just have to be Willing to Hold your 5D Space even when they don’t understand.  Give yourself advance Permission to do that.  It’s good Practice anyway.

We’ll be getting much Clearer on What We Want, even as we’re Confused about the Material implications of it.  By the end of June we’ll Trust it.

• Full Moon 17 June (1:30 am PDT), 26 Sagittarius, quite close to the Galactic Center, which will strengthen your Inner Female for the several weeks to follow; if your Inner Male freaks out, be Compassionate with Him, but don’t back down.  If you Abandon your Inner Female here you’ll be in trouble.  Hint: She Knows What She Wants and you can’t talk Her out of it.  We aren’t talking about your partner; we’re talking about your INNER Female and Male.  Like it or not, you have both, even though you usually Project one or the other or both on Other People.

• Until 17 June, The Truth of What You Want will be right in your face.  The astrosymbols for Manifestation (dwarf planet Makemake) and for Truth (asteroid Veritas) will both be very Strong (Stationary).  (Makemake Station 2am PDT 18 June at 4 Libra; Veritas Station 1pm PDT 18 June at 27 Libra)

• Until the Solstice, the Material World will be very Confusing.  Celebrate it, and Focus on the Spiritual Perspective.  The symbol for Material Confusion (Neptune) will be very Strong (Stationary) an hour and a half before the Solstice.  (Neptune Station 7:30 am PDT 21 June in 19 Pisces; Sun enters Cancer 9am PDT 21 June)

• This Confusion will remain through September and beyond (Cancer Solstice Merged with Neptune).  We’ll be Challenged to Trust the Confusion and not try to override it with Cause-and-Effect thinking, because C&E thinking will be way off, it’ll divert our Attention from What’s Important, and it’ll totally screw up our Version 2.0 Projects.  Surrender to your Intuition instead.  (asteroid Eurydike Station 10pm PDT June 24 in 11 Aquarius)

Don’t Anger the Planet

Let Alone the Galaxy. 

The best time to study a distant Galaxy is when another, closer Galaxy is between it and you.  As Einstein claimed, Mass bends Light (or Space), so the nearer Galaxy acts as a “Gravitational Lens” to amplify the Galaxy behind it.  It’s the same when one planet lines up in front of another; the nearer planet amplifies the Energy of the planet behind it.  Astrologers call that a Conjunction or Transit; we usually call it an Initiation, as the far planet grants Shakipat to the nearer planet, which passes it on to us.

Technically, there’s a “catch,” or a fly in the ointment.  An astrological Conjunction occurs in only one Dimension, Longitude (East-West).  Two planets that are astrologically Conjunct need not be in the same position on the North-South Dimension, which astrologers call Declination. 

So, for instance, the 10 September (5am PDT) Pholus Station and the 11 September (8:30 am PDT) Quaoar Station are two-and-a-half Degrees apart in Longitude, but they’re five-and-a-half Degrees apart in Declination.  So technically, on the purely Physical level, Pholus (27 AUs from us) won’t be doing much Gravitational Lensing of Quaoar’s Energy (43 AUs from us).

“AU” is short for “Astronomical Unit,” which measures the approximate distance from the Earth to the Sun, 93 million miles or 150 million kilometers, or the distance Light travels in about five hundred seconds.  The AU is the standard unit for measuring distances between planets.  So dwarf planet Quaoar (a Plutoid) is 60% farther from us than Pholus (a Centaur).

Centaur is a name given to “minor planets” (a general term that includes asteroids) that orbit between Jupiter and Neptune.  Most have an elliptical orbit; Pholus’s varies from 9 to 32 AUs from the Sun; 27 AUs is it’s current distance from Earth.  Plutoids are Pluto-like dwarf planets and other minor planets.  Quaoar’s orbit varies from 42 to 45 AU from the Sun (compared to Pluto’s elliptical orbit of 30-49 AU).

Nevertheless, the Western astrology that we practice has a long history of Empirical success using only Longitude.  So if we say that Pholus will “Lens” Quaoar’s Energy anyway, metaphorically, we’ll have Empirical astrological history behind us. 

Now, the reason I bring all this up, is that Pholus and Quaoar are straddling the Galactic Center, which is only a quarter of a Degree of Longitude from the Exact Pholus-Quaoar Midpoint.  The Galactic Center is quite a bit further south, but we’ll use our Metaphoropoetic License to say that the almost-Simultaneous Pholus and Quaoar Stations is likely to, in effect, in our Psychic Experience of it, “Lens” or Amplify the Energy of the Galactic Center.

Of course, even if that metaphor doesn’t hold, it’s still a classic astrological Conjunction, without dispute.

And you can see why what astrologer refer to as  “Parallel Conjunction,” where two planets occupy the same or adjacent Longitudinal Degrees and also the same or adjacent Degrees of Declination, is considered to be more Powerful than a “simple” Conjunction.

The Longitudes are Pholus Station 26:10, Galactic Center 27:08, Pholus-Quaoar Midpoint 27:25, and Quaoar Station 28:40, all Sagittarius.  The Declinations are Pholus 9:53 South, Quaoar 15:30 South, Galactic Center 29:00 South.

The reason we bring that up is the way we interpret these three Energies.

We consider the Galactic Center to be Headquarters.

Quaoar’s namesake was a God or God-like Entity who taught the Indians of what is now California how to, literally, groom their “wild” Landscape to maximize their Survival, teaching them how and when to replant seeds and bulbs, and how to know when the Acorns were ripe in the mountains, for instance.  When the Spanish got there, of course these folks were just “nekkid savages” who knew nothing and weren’t even really People, so to the Spanish these folks were just Scavengers.  The rest of the Europeans, who came along later, were no more observant of their environment than the Spanish.  So we interpret Quaoar as our Survival Instincts.

Now Pholus was a half-horse dude in the Greek Mythologicon, who didn’t exactly ignore his duties, but there were things that he could have done that he didn’t.  Specifically, he let Herakles (aka Hercules) find and drink the Wine that Pholus’s People were saving for Special Celebrations.  That led to Herakles “having to” kill most of the Centaurs, and ultimately led to Pholus’s Death as well.  So we interpret Pholus as the process of Becoming Fully Responsible.  That’s Responsible for Improving Future Outcomes, not Blameworthy for Past Causation – these are very different.

The plot is actually a little thicker than this, as Pholus’s lack of caution with the Celebratory Wine also led to Chiron’s famous “Unhealable” Wound, and subsequent Death.  Of course, we understand that Empathy Heals, and we’d rather Take our Power than our Victimhood, so we know better than to fall for the “Unhealable” bit. 

And we know that Herakles was one of the budding Patriarchy’s Hit Men, whose Labors, like Perseus, were intent on eliminating the Matriarchy.  In this case, Herakles, in “self-defense,” killed off the Matriarchy’s Intuitive Healers.

Oh, and have we mentioned that the Centaurs (other than Chiron and Pholus) were bastard children of our Pathological friend Ixion, our Forbidden Genius that’s Stationary as we speak?  After Zeus pardoned Ixion for some ungodly depravity, Ixion immediately set off to seduce Zeus’s wife Hera (Jupiter was the Roman version of Zeus, and Juno the Roman equivalent of Hera).  Zeus conjured up a Cloud to look like Hera, which Cloud got raped and produced the Centaurs. 

The First Patriarchs were Imaginative, you have to grant them that.

The four asteroids most commonly used in Western astrology – Juno, Pallas, Ceres, and Vesta – are the largest of the ‘roids between Mars and Jupiter, and the first discovered.  There’s also an asteroid Hera, currently at the end of Virgo. 

There also happens to be an asteroid called Heracles, which is an Earth-Crosser, though it theoretically will never come closer to our Home Planet than 22 Moon-distances.  At the moment it’s Conjunct OR10 (Irruption of Unconscious Contents).  Asteroid Zeus is also an Earth-Crosser.

So, that was a long way of getting to the Bottom Line, though you hopefully got some useful background on the way.

The 10-11 September virtually-Simultaneous Stations of Pholus and Quaoar are Channeling Instructions to us directly from the Galactic Center, Asking, or perhaps Demanding, that we Become Responsible to our Survival on the Planet.  The Stations are Exact just about the time when Hurricane Irma hits Florida and Mar-o-Leggo, which is of course a “Coincidence.”  Tropical Storm Jose, which may by then also be a Hurricane, is right behind Irma and will be hitting Dominica at about the same time, on a similar track.  Mar-o-Leggo is Spanish for “repairs will be funded by your taxes because Mexico won’t pay up.”

Meanwhile, while Air and Water (intellect and Emotion) pummel the Gulf Coast and, soon, East Coast, after a record-breaking wet winter (producing plenty of fuel) and a record-breaking dry summer, Fire (Spirit) consumes the Left Coast of the US.  Though the nearest of the Forest Fires is a tad shy of a hundred miles from here, this is what our Fulling Moon looked like last night…

That’s pretty close to the real color, in mid-sky, not on the horizon.  You can’t feel the Ash falling, but you can see it on cars and windowsills as a thin layer of fine dust.  Last night’s Sunset was literally blood red.  Tonight’s is less intense, as the clouds are thicker…

That’s the Sun, not the Moon.  Here’s another Forest Fire, this one a little over a hundred miles away in a different direction…

That lake is a mile wide.  This next one’s in Central California…

It’s good when the Sky burns like that, because like a Rocket Stove, it produces less Carbon Dioxide.  But don’t stand too close.  So, now, do we really have the surplus Energy to go to War?  Or is it just that our Betters need the revenue from selling the Bombs, and they don’t really care what happens to us nekkid savages?

Response-Ability 4

This ongoing Dance between Pholus (Respond-Ability) and Quaoar (Survival Instincts) has been going on for several years; we’ve just been Paying Attention to other issues because they were more Prominent in the charts.  The Dance has been happening on the Cusp of Capricorn.  We can’t help but think that Pholus-Quaoar is about Global Warming, Ascension, and the Patriarchy.  We think of Capricorn as the “Just Do It” Sign, and Pluto (the Mandatory that can be Directed but not Reversed) is about to enter the Virgo Decanate of Capricorn (2018-2024).  That Decanate would imply “Just Break Down your Olde Ego, K?”

The Cusp of Capricorn is of course the northern Winter Solstice.  In many ancient traditions a Day begins at dusk of what most of us would usually consider the evening before, and a Year begins at the Winter Solstice.  To the Romans it initiated Saturnalia, their equivalent of Oktobefest, a celebration of disregard and reversal of the everyday rules of social discourse.  The conversion of Saturn and Capricorn (which are first cousins) from rule-flaunting to rule-making was done by the early Christians in order to enhance their Political (Either/Or) Control over the People. 

The Romans had the luxury of their Mediterranean climate.  For folks further north, the Winter Solstice meant likely hardship, dependence on Community, and the necessity to Attend to The Most Important Thing – Surviving another northern winter.  That yields the primary keywords for Capricorn and Saturn, respectively Pragmatism and Focus.

Like Aries (northern Spring), Cancer (northern Summer), and Libra (northern Autumn), Capricorn is a Cardinal or Creative Sign, signifying a Rebirth.  Aries is the Rebirth of the Indwelling Spirit (Fire) as fresh evidence of the Life Force emerges in northern Plants and Animals in March.  Cancer is the Rebirth of Compassion (Water), as the northern Earth begins to generate a surplus in June (Radishes at least, and all the Leaves we can eat).  Libra is the Rebirth of Community (Air), as the northern September Harvest requires Cooperation and Fair (ideally anyway) distribution.  And Capricorn is the Rebirth of Attention to Material Form (Earth), as Winter cold and snow demand a Focus on Physical Survival in December.

In parts of the Southern Hemisphere, the same pattern could be repeated because most of the habitable Southern Hemisphere landmass lies much closer to the Equator than in the Northern Hemisphere.  In many locations Aries represents recovery from estivation rather than recovery from hibernation.

We can see Western Civilization as a massive social experiment to see what happens when the Individual is celebrated as the Highest Expression of Huperity, rather than the Community.  Though it very much feels like a failure, it’s not a pass/fail test, it’s an experiment.  The Balance between Community and Individual isn’t a linear trend, it’s a sine curve.  As China replaces Europe and the US in the role of World trendsetter, the Balance will swing back toward Community.  Not that the Chinese are any less Patriachal, they’re just more likely to be smart enough to know when Change is necessary.

We can’t address Response-Ability without commenting on “New Age Guilt.”  New Age Guilt is a misunderstanding of Taking-Responsibility-to-Create-Your-Own-Reality that occurs when Creating is seen from the Perspective of Blame.  I’ve a friend that suffers from a serious disease and a nasty hospital-acquired superbug infection.  If they try to Take the Blame for this Past Creation, then absolutely it may turn out to feel like Guilt, though I’m not sure how that Blame or Guilt would be related to “New Age.”

Blame, remember, means Assigning Cause to Past events and circumstances.  Sure, with perfect foresight they might have been somehow able to sidestep the Triggers for their misfortune, but it would be a real stretch to Blame them for it.  On the other hand, my friend is absolutely Taking Responsibility to Improve their Future Outcomes, which is exactly how Response-Ability is defined.  They are very much Intending to Create an Improved Reality for themselves in the Future, preferably the Near Future.

In Jane Roberts’s seminal Nature of Personal Reality, Seth points out that it’s Easy to know the nature of our Karma, all we need to do is summarize our Current-Lifetime Personal History.  So sure, if you want to Blame someone’s Present-Moment Ego for all of their Past Lives, you might aver that they have “Created Their Own Past Reality,” but what a stretch that would be.  It would be like that movie where they prosecuted people for crimes that they might commit in the Future.

That doesn’t mean we don’t all have the Opportunity to review our Current-Lifetime Personal History and try to fathom how to read our Limiting Beliefs from the Funhouse Mirror that it is, and use the information to reduce our Self-Sabotage.  Karma remember is Inertia – Olde Habits and their underlying Beliefs – not Retribution.  The notion that we need to be Punished, for whatever, is just Power-Over, usually perpetrated by Religions and Governments.  So it may make some sense to speak of Religious Guilt or Government Guilt.

Another way to look at the difference between Blame and Response Ability, is to look at how our Ego is defined in our self-concept.  If our Operating Ego is Merged with our Individual Soul, then we may be Open to encompassing all of our other Past and Parallel Lives, and extending our Response Ability to some of the issues in those Lifetimes, including any hypothetical Habits and Beliefs Created in those Lifetimes that may linger into the current Lifetime. Of course we’re talking about Sainthood here.

If on the other hand our Ego is Merged with our Physical Body, which Fear of Death would Betray, since our Soul is immortal; or Merged with our Dualistic mind, which would be Betrayed by the presence of Either/Or Judgment of any kind; or Merged with our Emotions and Betrayed by Resistance or Attachment to any of them.  Knowing this could help us define our homework.

Fate is what happens TO us when we’re Unconscious of the Archetypes (Karma) that run our Lives.  When we bring these into Consciousness we gain the Power to Choose otherwise, often referred to as “Free Will.”  Identifying with our Physical or mental or Emotional Bodies keeps Archetypes frozen in the Unconscious.  Identification with our Individual Soul is an ambitious Goal that most of will never achieve.  However, every step we can take in that direction will reduce our Self-Sabotage.

We can never say how accurate and how metaphorical we might be when sending a Healing to someone else (or even to ourself!), but when I send a Theta Healing to my friend for their affliction, the picture I get is one of Panic.  When I then send a Healing for their affliction and their Panic and their Belief that the superbug can kill their physical body, the picture I get is one of Peace and Competence.  So if we revert to the previous Response-Ability 3 post for Guidance, we might Wonder if it would help my friend to Ask themself whether they have an Ancient memory and a Held Emotion around Fear of Being Poisoned, and if so to see where it might lead to Tap that Out and Poor-Sweetheart it.

Moving from Blame to Response-Ability isn’t easy, because Blame is a Closed Universe.  There are no logical paths out of Blame; the only way to exit is is to PIAVA an exit.  Given our conditioning it’s even more difficult, but we’re even better off if we can glimpse the World through eyes other than Cause and Effect.  Cause and Effect is absolutely dependent on Linear Time, and every Spiritual tradition on the Planet advises that All There Is Is Now. 

Without Cause and Effect, there is no Blame.  Response-Ability can run completely on PIAVAs – no need for Cause and Effect at all.  Your PIAVAs don’t “Cause” your Future Outcomes, they “merely” have potential to shift the Beliefs that Control your Perceptions of “Reality.”

Fascinating!  My observation so far is that when Varuna is lit up, we seem to be able to Change Archetypes as easily as changing our pants.

The Sabian Symbol of the Station is interesting: “An Indian girl introduces her white lover to the assembled tribe.”  The Station Opposes (Mirrors) the Galactic Center and Pholus (Taking Full Responsibility).  In this case, Taking Full Responsibility means Giving up Control!  The most reliable method I know of for “descending” into The Flow, is a series of Kegels, especially under the influence of Fear.  Quaoar (the Law of Survival) Conjoins Pholus, and the Opposition is Trine-Bridged by the Conjunction between Sedna (Actions Taken out of Fear) and asteroid Karma.

They’ve spread out a little, but we still have a Stellium (a grouping of three or more planets) of dwarf planets wrapped around the Galactic Center.  Over the last ten days Mercury has been dancing with each of them in turn, and between now and December 25, the Sun will be dancing with them in turn…

• Ixion – The Genius we reject, or the Transgressions we should feel guilty about but don’t
• Pholus – Taking Full Responsibility
• Quaoar – Information about what we need to do in order to Survive
• Galactic Center – Headquarters
• Hylonome – Ego Death, Soul Recovery
• Chariklo – Walking in Beauty

They’re also being Squared by the Nodes, meaning that if we succeed in Lovingly Embracing Emotions we don’t like to deal with (which, unfortunately, could be trying to push into our Awareness),  then we’ll find out more about our Mission.  Jupiter’s also moving into a Square with them, which will Amplify them.  Whatever we’ve become intellectually Aware of over the last two weeks, we’ll be exploring more deeply over the next two weeks, with the Awareness moving out of our intellect and into our Belly.

Possible Loss of Privilege

Well, another one of those “Coincidences” that Robert Moss writes about in The Three ‘Only’ Things – our Chief Asteroid Officer Elizabeth points out that there exists an asteroid named Schadow, which happens to be … wait for it … Conjunct Pholus-Ixion.  In fact, it’s exactly Conjunct Ixion today.

But let’s talk about several other of these new dwarf planets – Quaoar, Chariklo, and Hylonome.  The keywords I use for these three are…

• Quaoar – A law-giver, providing “laws” about what we need to do to survive
• Chariklo – Charm, Beauty
• Hylonome – Merging, Grief, Ego Death

All three were part of what we called the Centaur Stampede in September, as they all, along with Pholus and Ixion, were very strong at the same time, while Conjunct the Galactic Center…

• The Galactic Center is to our Solar System as the Sun is to the Earth: Headquarters

Pholus and Ixion have moved away a bit, but Quaoar and Chariklo and Hylonome still sit on the Galactic Center, making their Guidance pretty relevant to the Future of our Galactic neighborhood.  Here’s an intriguing suggestion about what this may be about…

That’ll shift our Identity, if we haven’t been Expecting it.  We may Lose our egocentric sense of Privilege about being at the top of the food chain.  Those who left us here to be fruitful and multiply may return to harvest their well-marbled steaks and barbecued ribs.

In addition to these three being Conjunct the Galactic Center, the Nodes are backing into a T-Square with them (and the “GC”).  That makes these three increasingly significant for us as individual denizens of Planet Earth.  While Makemake is moving away from the North Node, Vesta is Retrograde and still Conjunct the South Node, implying…

We have some ancient Limiting Beliefs and Self-Sabotage Habits that are due to be stripped away.  I think the involvement of Quaoar and the Galactic Center is fairly clear – it means “Listen Up, Huper, this is Important!”  It sounds like giving up these Limiting Beliefs isn’t optional.  So what about Chariklo and Hylonome?  Before we get to them, let’s factor in one other influence – Sustainability.

Dwarf planet Ceres makes a Trine-Sextile Bridge across the Nodal T-Square.  A Bridge represents an “easy” way to resolve an otherwise Challenging T-Square or Opposition.

Which also means Sustenance.  So one interpretation that pops out is that we may be Asked to give up Privilege, as Chariklo’s Charm and Beauty suggests Privilege.  Think of your most Charming and Beautiful friends, and recall how strangers greet them, relative to how strangers greet (or look right through) your least Charming and Beautiful friends.  I’ve always said that “Beauty has its own Karma,” meaning that most folks who bring Beauty into their current Lifetime have little understanding for the day-to-day struggles that less-Beautiful folks endure.  

Of course Charm and Beauty can be Learned and Manifested after birth, in which case the connection between Beauty and Privilege may be firmly in Consciousness, though perhaps layered with Resentment or Fear of Rejection.  Stripping Privilege Away from someone who’s been Beautiful since birth can be a Shock, a big Ego Death.  We introduce the notion of Stripping Away because of Hylonome, which represents Grief over a Loss of Identity.  Hylonome saw herself as part of her Significant Other.  When they were killed, she had the option of seeking her own Identity; instead, she committed suicide with the same lance that killed her mirror image.  

There’s certainly a lot of room for other interpretations.  For instance, Laws (Quaoar) that we’ve been living by and considering to be a Beautiful fit for our Culture, could be stripped away.  Think Water Rights in California, for instance.  Or what will happen when the People realize that their precious Dream Image of Democracy and the Rule of Law with Liberty and Justice for All has been replaced by Oligopoly and the Rule of Corporate Boardrooms with Liberty and JustUs for the Few.  Or that the Image was propaganda all along.

For us as individuals wanting to be prepared, it’s probably appropriate for us to connect the dots between Limiting Beliefs and Grief when we’re confronted by either Ego Death or Loss of Privilege.  Losing or quitting a job for instance might be connected to a Belief that someone else must be Responsible for our Survival, or to a Belief that our profession IS our Identity.  When Grief arises, what is it that we Fear is being Stripped Away?  Who or what has died or left, that we perceived as a part of us?  There is always a bigger us waiting on the other side of that Limiting Belief.  We just need to Levitate over the razor-wire.

It also wouldn’t hurt a bit to Empathize with our Loss: “You poor Sweetheart, you really feel awful about Losing that, don’t you.”  In that single, simple step of Witnessing, we stop Being Loss and start Being Compassion.  We can still Feel Grief over the Loss, but we stop Being the Grief.  That shift gives us a lot more Options.  Truth is, whatever Privilege is being Stripped Away from us, if we can outwit the accompanying Limiting Belief, Opens us to far greater opportunity, as that Privilege was a cage for us.  Without it we Expand into the Unknown – a larger and more beneficial Unknown.

August-September VII

Opal comes in many forms, and is useful for many purposes, including Soul Retrieval.  Opal is just Quartz with a bit of Water included in the Crystal Structure.  It’s the reflection off the Water molecules that creates the “Fire” or Dance of Colors in Opal.  This is an Oregon or Jelly Opal.

After dwarf planet Sedna turned Retrograde today, it took three and a half hours for Wall Street to realize that the Fear had subsided and they could buy again.  Sedna’s a newcomer, so nobody knows a lot about it, but I interpret it as Actions taken out of Fear, and that’s certainly what Wall Street’s been doing for the last several days.  When a planet is slowing to a stop, in this case turning Retrograde (backward in the sky), we feel the planet’s effect very strongly while it’s slowing down.  Then once it stops and starts moving again in the opposite direction, the impact usually diminishes quickly.

The exception is when we personalize the Energy, and make Decisions based on it.  For instance, if we attributed the Fear around Sedna’s Station to economics, we might make a Decision to get out while we can.  Then we’ll be selling into any Recovery the market makes.  In that case, the impact of Sedna’s Station could linger long after the event.  It remains to be seen whether this is the first body blow of the Monster Depression that the bears have been predicting for years.  Economists are well know for predicting twenty of the last twelve Recessions.  But as corrections go it’s pretty routine – sure, it was 1,000 points, but that’s only six percent, and a correction of that size is long overdue.

Which doesn’t diminish the fact that we’re in uncharted territory, where derivatives (which are gambles about bets on wagers) could turn a 1,000-point decline into 10,000 points overnight if the wrong bull was gored.  And that yes, a Monster Depression is likely sometime between now and 2020, which is why we’ve been advising alternative approaches to Survival for many years as part of our Perspective on the Chiron-Neptune Cycle – growing your own food, exploring small-scale entrepreneurship with things like the Maker Movement, finding our Tribe, working toward Sustainability in any way we can.

Chiron is the poster child for a group of dwarf planets that we want to talk about today, the “Centaurs,” so named because they appear to be half asteroid and half comet, like the Centaurs of Greek fame that were half horse and half Huper.  The astro-Centaurs orbit between Saturn, Uranus and Neptune – that is, between the Will, the Individual Unconscious, and the Cultural Unconscious, or between the Ego, the Individual Soul, and the Group Soul.  As such they deal with Emotions that are on the Edges of our Consciousness.  For instance…

• Chiron deals with Discouragement/Despair over the Shortcomings of our Limiting Beliefs, which we perceive as Limitations of Reality; once we Lovingly Witness our Despair we Expand our Consciousness and are visited by Perspectives beyond our previous Limiting Beliefs
• Chariklo deals with the Expectation of Privilege, from the Female side (Nessus from the Male side); like Self-Love, the Expectation of Privilege tends to be Mirrored by external Reality
• Hylonome deals with our Identity – Ego-Identification or Merging with people or things outside ourself, and in particular the Ego Death which we experience as Grief when our external Mirror-Image is broken
• Pholus deals with the Expectations of Others, and how well we meet them; it’s about Taking Full Responsibility for what’s important to us and important to those with whom we have tacit or explicit contracts

The Centaurs represent Challenges, Challenges that we meet by Expanding our Consciousness to include Awareness of these Emotional issues which often blind-side us till we Learn to include them in our Emotional repertoire.  One of the characteristics of Centaurs is that their orbits are unstable; they could get a wild hair and fly out of here in any given millenium.

The other group of dwarf planets that we want to talk about today are “Plutoids” – asteroids that orbit in the neighborhood of Pluto.  There’s a big shift between Neptune and Pluto.  Neptune is the last of the four “Gas Giants” – huge planets that are mostly Gas, too small but otherwise Star-like – along with Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter.  Beyond Neptune we find only small iceballs like Pluto.  Because it’s so large, Neptune’s gravity exerts a big impact on the orbits of many Plutoids.

Pluto is generally associated with the “Universal” Unconscious, or the Zeitgeist, the flow of Time.  As such, it’s about Transformation – or Trance Reformation, as the Zeitgeist evolves or devolves – and about the things we pretty much must do or not do, if we don’t want to end up on a siding in the flow of Time.  While the Centaurs work on the Edges of Consciousness, the Plutoids work, for most people, beyond the Edges of Consciousness.  So we don’t normally see the Plutoids as within our Span of Control.  Of course it’s As-Without-So-Within and We-Are-All-One (including all the Entities that we don’t routinely personify), so the Edges of our Span of Control are really only the Edges of our Consciousness.

Some of the Plutoids include…

• Quaoar – the Law-Giver, not for the sake of Order, but for the sake of Survival; Quaoar defines the Edges of Survivability
• Ixion – Impulse, the Desire Body, that operates without concern for Other
• Chaos – Unlimited Potential
• Haumea – Rebirth
• Eris – the principle of Denial and the Changes required by its Revelation
• Makemake – Manifestation
• Sedna – Actions taken out of Fear

Sedna is an outlier here; Pluto and all of the others orbit between 30 and 100 times as far from the Sun as is Earth, while Sedna’s orbit ranges between 76 and 936 times as far from the Sun as we are.  For reference, Jupiter is at about five times, Saturn 10, Uranus 20, and Neptune 30 times.

All of which is background for early September, because between 4 September and 9 September, Ixion, Chariklo, Pholus, Hylonome, and Quaoar are all Stationary – and all more or less in the same place.  Astrologers call it a “Stellium” when three or more planets convene in the same Zodiacal place, but here we have a Stellium of five, all Stationary at the same time.  During a Station, as we said at the beginning, the impact of a planet is greatly exaggerated.  And during a Stellium, the Energies of the Conjoined planets are combined, which creates Energies we aren’t used to.

For instance, we’re well acquainted with the Energy of Assertion, Mars, and the Energy of Receptivity, Venus.  But now that they’re Conjoined (as they are on 31 August, with the Energy felt most strongly for the several days prior), do we know what to do with Assertive Receptivity or Receptive Assertiveness?  “Go screw yourself” is a common insult, but we don’t usually mean it literally.  If you “accused” most people of Androgyny, they’re likely to give you a similar insult.  Yet achieving Androgyny, where our Receptivity and our Assertiveness are Balanced, is a Mission of the Soul.   Would you recognize it if you saw it?  And if so, would you admire it?  Can you imagine how it might Feel to be Androgynous?  And this is only two planets.

In our 4-9 September Stellium we’re dealing with five dwarf planets being Strong at the same time, all of which have impacts much more subtle than Assertiveness and Receptivity.  And by the way, Venus is also Stationary during this period, and while it’s not in the same place, it’s in a Harmonic location to the Stellium. 

Venus is Trioctile to the Stellium, indicating that the Stellium of Stations will be inspiring us to evolve our Values.

In addition, the Stellium is Stationary very close to the Galactic Center.  This means that as these subtle Unconscious Energies combine they will be Channeling a message – Instructions – to the Unconscious from the Galactic Command Post.  So we can Expect to see a shift – a Major Shift, whether too subtle to Notice or not – in the Consciousness of the Planet.  What sort of Shift?  While since it’s Unconscious it’s not for us to know in any detail, yet if we can get an idea of what to look for, we can in a general way Witness it and Grow our Consciousness.

There are many other related Planets in the early-September chart; we’ll discuss their role as we go on.  But for now, let’s focus on trying to imagine how the Energies of the five dwarf planets in the Stellium might combine.

While the Stellium combines all five planets, two are close together but separated by a few Degrees from the other three, which are also close together.  So we can start by looking at the Pair and the Triad, then trying to tie them together.

The Pair is Pholus and Ixion.  We’ve talked about these two before, as they’ve been traveling together for a while.  Ixion is Uncontrolled Desire, Pholus Full Responsibility for the consequences of our commissions and omissions.  So this combination seems to be about Taking Full Responsibility for our Deepest Desires.  Our religious training would suggest that we interpret that as Taking Full Responsibility for controlling our Deepest Desires. 

But since the astrology we practice is about Healing and Integrating, we interpret it as Taking Full Responsibility for allowing and welcoming our Deepest Desires.  To the extent that they’ve been repressed (which we can assume – if you already Love your Deepest Desires, this is an opportunity for you to go Deeper), there will likely be some personal and social discomfort involved at first, as we experiment with how to let them out of their cages.

The Triad is composed of Quaoar, Chariklo, and Hylonome, and this Triad sits astride the Galactic Center, so forms the core of our Instructions. 

Chariklo symbolizes Beauty and Grace, and Humans are wont to give deference to Beauty and Grace – hence Chariklo has the flavor of unearned Privilege.  Of course Beauty and Grace can be Learned and so may carry a price and Feel earned.  Yet to Grow our Consciousness we may be Asked to Notice that we give deference to Beauty and Grace in situations where it may not be in our own best interests.  He turns the notions of Beauty and Grace upside down (but so what – astrology is about dimensions, not directions on the dimension), but we can’t help but wonder if The Donald (Trump, that is) isn’t personifying this Energy.  If that hunch is true, then we should expect to be hearing a lot less about him by mid-September. 

Hylonome was a female Centaur who immediately committed suicide with the lance that killed her lover.  So we have the concepts of Unbearable Grief, but even more important, the concept of Identification with Other to the point that the Self is virtually non-existent.  The implication is that we all have elements of our Identity that are Other-based.  Just as Fundamentalism is the process of Believing that your metaphors are literally true, Codependence is the process of Believing that your Mirrors are You.  We often admire what we don’t have permission to Be in ourself.  So while Grieving the Loss of our Identity is an Ego Death with all of the Soul-searing pain that involves, it’s actually a Soul Retrieval, as we are forced to give up Codependence and substitute a previously orphaned portion of our True Self.  Let’s hope this doesn’t involve the demise of a beloved World Hero or Heroine, if we have any left.

As with other processes of Growth in Consciousness and Spiritual Growth, we’re Asked to Focus on the Unknown Future rather than the Known Past.  In that task, Perpetual Curiosity is our greatest friend, as long as we can maintain it and not surrender to our craving and addiction to trying to Understand.  The World is a Mystery; when we Believe we Understand, we murder the World.  Confusion is the First Sign of Growth, but if we quash it with illusions of Understanding, we stop our Growth cold.

So we’re being Ordered (Quaoar) by Central Command (the Galactic Center) to Grieve the Loss (Hylonome) of Unearned Privilege (Chariklo), or better yet, to accept the Loss as a Return to Self, or the invocation of a Vision Quest to Retrieve a portion of the True Self through Honest Curiosity about an unknowable Future.  But wait – we’re also being Asked to either Take Full Responsibility (Pholus) for the parts of ourself which we previously rejected as unfit for polite company, or Take Full Responsibility for the parts of ourself that our friends and associates would love to be able to reject as unfit for polite company (Ixion).  Not Blame, which looks backwards to attempt to Understand a Cause (ie, murder), but Responsibility, which looks forward to attempt to improve an Outcome.

To me this suggests a further loosening of the yoke of Hierarchy and Inequality.  As Power Over corrupts, Taking Full Responsibility for Power means shifting to Power With.  If you haven’t read Starhawk’s Truth or Dare yet, this would be an excellent time to do it, as in it she Teaches us the difference between Power Over and Power With, all in the context of an Inferior Conjunction of Venus (the Descent of Inanna), which we’ve just experienced.

This is all happening in Sagittarius, the Sign of Letting Go.  So while Noticing what’s going on is appropriate as part of Growing our Consciousness, Giving Up Control is also appropriate as part of Sagittarius.  We can do Both/And, and it behooves us to do so.

One More Extension

Hopefully this will be the last extension to Portal 1.2-1.9, or 1.2-1.12 as it’s become.  The Moon moves in to intensify the process on January 12, while Venus moves in to help soften it.  However, it’ll take Venus several days to cross this activation zone, and there are other Portals coming up, most of which are related to this one, so we should probably just plan on things being pretty unstable until at least February.

Venus and Juno remain in a Golden Rectangle with the Nodes till January 16-17, though the Energy will begin to fade after January  15.

Not as unstable as this past week, as the Eris Station (the attempts to bring Denial out of the Shadows) is behind us.  However, the media is reporting that literally millions of “first-world” folk are out demonstrating about how THEY think of themselves as the Victims of Colonialism come home, so while on the global level Denial might be out of the Shadows, it’s not getting far into Consciousness.  Hope you’re doing better with whatever Personal material is arising for you.

Venus might help us a little here.

The Moon crosses the North Node at quarter to 9am PST (http://www.jbuss.com/tt/pst9.htm) January 12, exciting the Main-Effect Pluto-Nodes-Uranus T-Square, which of course is about our Yintegrity, or our Willingness to accept our Soul’s path for us.

Venus moves into position to make a Golden Rectangle with Juno and the Nodal Axis.

A Golden or Mystic Rectangle is a beneficial Configuration comprised of double Trine-Sextile Bridges across each of two Oppositions that are separated by Sextiles.  A Bridge shows us an easier way to approach a Challenging Angle, so a Golden Rectangle is kind of a free tutor.  The Oppositions are Challenges to Let Go of Duality and locate our Intuition instead. 

The Oppositions in the Golden Rectangle are…

• Moon-North Node (Manifesting our Destiny) to Uranus-South Node (Our Limiting Beliefs Are Obsolete; We Need To Let Them Go Before They Cause Real Trouble For Us!)
• Venus (Supporting our own Values) to Juno (the Edges of our Consciousness)

Complicated of course by the Square from the Nodes to Pluto.

In a Golden Rectangle, the ends of each Opposition are the Bridging planets for the other Opposition.

So the Nodal Opposition is Bridged by Venus and Juno, and the Venus-Juno Opposition is Bridged by the Nodes, which are hosting visitors Uranus and the Moon.

Venus and Juno Bridging the Nodal Opposition implies that

We may be able to reduce the aerodynamic drag on our Progress that’s created by our Unfinished Business, by Opening our minds and Hearts to reconsidering which of our Values are Most Important to us.

(We didn’t draw it in on the chart, but Saturn is still making an Octile-Trioctile Bridge across the Nodal Axis as well, bringing in Prioritization as an additional Bridging technique.)

Just taking the Global level as an example, “civilized” folks still regard their own personal Security (ie, safety from the Fear of “Terrorism”) as a higher priority than other people’s Security (ie, safety from Drones, Slavery, War on their turf, Sea-level rise, the Poverty resulting from Centuries of Colonial exploitation, etc).  It’s still Us versus Them, or Justice spelled JustUs, instead of “Gee, I wonder how I might be contributing to Insecurity in the World!”

I’m sure there’s a parallel somewhere in your own Personal Life.

What’s the Venus-Juno Opposition about?

There are Conflicts between our Consciousness and our Values.  In other words, we Sabotage ourselves, we act and think in ways that are contrary to our own best interests.

So how can the Moon, the Nodes, and Uranus Bridge those Conflicts?

Whatever difficulties we’ve faced in the last week or two, are Educational.  They illustrate to us how we Sabotage ourself.  Are will still Victim to those events?  We need to leave that posture behind.  How do we go from Victim to Responsibility?  Remember, Responsibility is not Blame, it’s the Ability to Respond.  It doesn’t work to Respond by bashing the alleged Perp.  We eventually all just lose to the biggest Perp.  We need to begin to take Responsibility for our own Victim.

What could we have done differently to avoid being Victimized?  In the Global case, Mutual Respect, instead of self-righteously insisting on our right to Humiliate and Enslave others, would go a long way.  We’d need some Empathy as well.  Some sense of what it’s like to live under real or de facto Colonialism.  The movie 12 Years a Slave might help a few people.  Malidoma Somé’s book Of Water and the Spirit maybe.  It describes the French version of Colonialism.

In general, it’s Fear that feeds Bullies.  Unfortunately, we usually have to get to the place where we have nothing left to lose, before we’re willing to stand up and say no to Bullies.  You might want to look up the Velvet Revolution, Czechoslovakia’s release from Bullying.  We’ll have to stand in Solidarity with the people Bullied by Colonialism, though, and that’s probably not likely anytime soon.

On the personal level, where it all starts, Grounding helps.  You just imagine a cable running from the base of your spine to the center of the Earth.  Food is also Grounding.  Tapping out Fear will help as well.  Of course we’ll have to Witness our Fear before we can Tap it out.  We can PIAVA that we do that. 

Once we’ve Witnessed our Fear we can also Empathize with it; once you get the hang of that (“You poor Sweetheart, you’re really scared, aren’t you”) we can move our Fear even faster than Tapping, and the results are likely to be even more Miraculous.

We didn’t draw the Quincunxes on the chart because we wanted the new element, the Venus-led Golden Rectangle, to stand out.  But there are Fingers of God to both Chiron (from Juno and Moon-North Node) and Juno (from Pluto and Chiron), making Juno (Expanding our Consciousness) and Chiron (Using Empathy to Shift from Despair to Miracle) the most important elements in the chart.

Along with Pluto, of course, as head of the T-Square.  Pluto tells us that the River is in flood, that if our destination isn’t downstream we’re in for a difficult journey (even before Mercury turns Retrograde on January 21).  The key to Pluto is Trust, Trust that outcomes will favor us, even if we don’t see how yet.  Pluto of course is about Transformation, Trance (Re) Formation, including usually Ego Death.

The Galactic Center recently Initiated Hylonome as well as Quaoar.  The Galactic Center is at 28 Sagittarius, “An old bridge over a beautiful stream is still in constant use.”  Maybe it’s time to review our opinion of the River Styx.  How might we see it as a “beautiful stream”?  It might help to understand that we can cross that stream in either direction.

While Fear of Ego Death, especially Unwitnessed Unconscious Fear, never leads to good outcomes, the combination of Overpopulation and Fear of Death is not one that promises a lot of comfort.  Can we cross this River in either direction at Will?  Depends on Who is doing the Willing.  Someone is.  Why not you?  No?  Why not PIAVA it?

That would be a great resolution to these Galactic Conundrums – we’d stay Grounded for all of the Fear-mongering, and we’d resolve the Uranus-Pluto-Nodes T-Square by Expanding our Consciousness to include our Soul!
