Denying Nature, Transmuting Abuse

Pan, Nature’s Head Dude, represented by the asteroid that bears His name, is Lit Up Bigtime today,¹ and has been for several days. It’ll also hang around for a week or so, but the Peak of the Energy was today. Unless we made an important Self-Protecting Decision, in which case it can become Karma and Hang Around till we Let It Go.²

The most important thing to know about this, is that Pan is Merged with both Our Soul and Our Mission.³ That’s a Powerful combination. The second-most important thing to know is that Pan and Our Soul and Our Mission have been ganging up on our Held Emotions, trying to talk them into Emerging from Hiding and Liberating us into Enlightenment.⁴ Held Emotions are the ones that we’d Rather Die Than Feel, and they’re usually Unconscious. Held Emotions are always Karmic, and Karma is never Present Moment until we make it so through Belief, so it’s not Physical Death that we Unconsciously Fear, it’s Ego Death.

And Rightly So, because the Ego is the part of our Psyche that’s in charge of Keeping us Alive! Crabs wear their Skeleton on the Outside, so they have to Molt in order to Grow, and once they Molt it takes them a week or so to harden their new larger Shell, during which time they’re extremely vulnerable to being eaten, nutcracker not required. While we probably aren’t direct descendants of Crabs, we may still have that Genetic Memory in our Karma, and for sure, when we Molt our Egos – Shell is actually a good synonym for Ego – we’re quite Defenseless until we Learn to Explain and Justify our new Ego, so there’s more than one parallel between us and Crabs.

We have to Accept Ego Death if we’re Committed to Ascension, and once we do we realize how many Ego Deaths we’ve already Lived Through Successfully – the Proof is in the Pudding. We Learn to Recognize the signs and Embrace the Fear that arises, and Learn to sail through them with Ease. The Held Emotions are always harder to Embrace, because they’re often Karma cemented by Vows we made to ourself while we were Physically Dying in another Lifetime – “I’ll Never do that again!” Those stick like Glue #10.

The third-most important thing abut Pan’s visit, is that we’re being Asked to Let Go of our Patterns around Abuse and Privilege.⁵ While we’ve had a lot of Practice over the last few years, especially when Abuse and Privilege was traveling hand in hand with Intrusive Memories (dwarf planet Gonggong) during 2015 and 2016. Revisiting Childhood Abuse is never Fun, and Dealing with Ancestral Abuse is always Tortuous and Confusing. And while Privilege seems like it should be a Privilege, it has its own Karma.

I’m always reminded of Stephen Levine’s story about a Meditation Retreat where in one session he was Reliving an Auschwitz Experience and Feeling Relieved that his Sense of Victimization was Justified. Then when he went back into Meditation after a Break, he was the one wearing the Jackboots. Wise men have said it before, but Doing Unto Creates the same Karma as Being Done Unto. That’s why Karma, which is the Inertia of Habit, is easily Confused with Retribution. When you Accept the Traditional Wisdom that We Are All One, that becomes Obvious.

Today in Florida and Texas they’re only Burning Books and The Mouse, and in Florida and Georgia and Colorado they’re trying to Burn Down Democracy, so the Oligarchy can Take All. They aren’t Burning and Drowning Witches again yet. Everyone’s Cutting Down and Burning Down the Sacred Groves again, as if they ever stopped. And some Races are undergoing Genocide as we speak. Abuse and Privilege stretches far beyond the Sexual.

The fourth-most important thing about Pan’s Illuminations, is that we’re also being Invited to Revisit and Let Go Of our Karma around the times when our Cultures Expanded so far Beyond our Values, or Beyond Values that would have Permitted our Survival, that our Civilization Collapsed.⁶

² Life-or-Death Decisions often become Karma because we either already Believe, or have to Make ourself Believe, that our Choice was the only way out. Once we convince ourself of that, it becomes an Unconscious Limitation that’s an integral part of our Worldview as if it was a “law of Physics” (which are actually Cultural Karmic Limitations). Worse, it could have been a distant ancestor that made such a Decision (like avoiding Pork in the Middle East in the Olde Days), and the Limitation was passed down to us through Programming. Since we have no way of remembering the origin of such Karma, and since we’re Ridiculed or Shamed for Ignoring it, Letting Go of that sort of Karma has its own Difficulties. We have to lean on our natal Ixion (Psychopathic Ignorer of Traditions) to Transcend it.

Amethyst, Clear Quartz turned purple by Radiation, is the Classical Aid to Ego Death. Its Crown–Chakra Color reminds us nonverbally that we are Spiritual Beings having a Physical Experience, and that Emotional Drama is part of Physical Experience for Hupers, so it Behooves us to Activate our Observer Self, make some Popcorn, and Enjoy the Movie, rather than Empathizing ourselves into the Drama.

Of course, if we Detach like this before we Explore and Embrace the Experience, we can drive our Resisted Emotions further into the dark corners of the Dungeon, especially when we’re Dealing with Held Emotions. So we don’t want to Skip that Explore-and-Embrace Step. We can Explore Emotion through Sensation, for instance, since Sensation involves less Drama, as long as we Avoid Indulging our Thoughts about our Sensations. If we do, we just withdraw our Attention from the Thoughts and Re-Invest It into the Body. To Embrace, we only need to remember that Love is Soft and Warm, Fear is Cold and Hard.

When we Ask ourself Where in my Body am I Feeling this? and Focus our Attention Deeply into that Place and Hold it there, persistently Returning our Attention when it Wanders, our Judgment-Free Laser Attention can Heal without time-consuming distractions to Story, which is just Metaphor anyway. When we’re Working with Karma, there’s no one Story, there are probably at least hundreds, so Story really is a Diversion. Story is good for Invoking the Occulted Emotion, but beyond that it can become the Ego’s attempt to Avoid Change by monopolizing the Conversation.

Once the Discomfort or Intensity in our Body Moves, we’re Done, we can Detach, though we may need to Return later for a Booster or several. This all sounds Mechanical and Unfeeling, and Held Emotions often involve Horrific Terrors. They’re best just Touched in the Emotional Realm, then Explored and Embraced in the Sensation Realm. Then when we Return to Touch them again, the Intensity may be Less. If it’s not, Gary Craig, who developed EFT or Tapping, has a series of videos demonstrating the use of EFT on PTSD. PTSD and Karma are not the same thing, but PTSD is probably usually Karmic.

Amethyst from the Thunder Bay area of Lake Superior in North Ontario Canada, is often speckled with dots of Rust or Hematite, Iron Oxide. These are red, the color of the Root Chakra, so they can help us Stay Grounded while we’re Exploring out Beyond our Crown Chakra and Deep Inside our Skin. As Angie Arrien liked to say, it will help us Walk the Spiritual Path with Practical Feet.

One of my first Rock photos. Most of these were taken with a very early digital camera, before they had large “viewfinder” screens. Using that camera was very much point and shoot, as the screen was too small to really see what I was photographing. I used to call it my Magic Camera, as many of its photos were just that. I suppose I could claim some credit via my Intuition or Instincts, as my Intellect was pretty much blinded by the small screen. Sometimes I imagine how it would be to Live like that, watching Crystals spontaneously and Magically sprouting Flames. I expect 5D to be as full of Delightful Surprises. Hopefully some day I’ll Deprogram my “left brain” enough to approach it.

Our Chief Asteroid Officer noticed that today, 6 December 2022, at 9:27 pm PST (GMT 5:27 am 7th, IST 10:57 am 7th, AEDT Qld 3:27 pm 7th), Pluto Initiates asteroid Atropos in 27 Capricorn, The Ability to See through the Veil, which we can use to Ascend if we Choose to. Pluto represents the Universal Unconscious, or the Zeitgeist of our Time, as it Evolves. Most of us to one degree or another are Addicted to this Zeitgeist, it’s the Trance that Holds us here and makes us Believe that the only Alternative is Physical Death, a Trick of the Ego in its Resolve to push the Soul into the closet.

Programmed by the Patriarchy, the Ego Believes the Soul to be a Competitor. To Ascend is to See through the Veil of the Ego’s Trick and Acknowledge our Immortal Soul as Who We Really Are. With Uranus (the Individual Soul) transiting Taurus (Matter), that Time is here. Time to Allow the Soul to Merge with the Ego, while the Physical Body continues to Live. The Ego’s function is to Keep the Physical Body Alive. The Patriarchy has been telling the Ego that the Soul only Emerges after the Body dies. Near-Death Experiences tell us otherwise.

Atropos meanwhile, symbolizes Expired Karma. Since Karma is our Expectations, we are always the last to know when Karma passes its Expiry Date. When it does we go looking for it, it’s our Familiar, we know it well and we miss it. It has Defined the Edges of our Reality since Time Began, or so it seems. When we can’t Find it, we Make It Up. Our Friends and Family wouldn’t recognize us without it. We’d Betray them if we Let It Go. Sooner or later, though, we stumble into old Circumstances where the Expired Karma would have Limited us, and without thinking, we Notice that it’s Gone!

With Pluto Beginning a New Cycle with Atropos, in which We See through the Ego’s Veil, Freedom awaits us. It’s hardly ironic that the astrochart describing this New Cycle features a Major Challenge with Denial and its Revelation.¹

But that’s what the Angels and Devils on our Shoulders are Shouting. We’re Clever enough to Ask, What’s the Coin? What’s Happening Here in the Present Moment? Everyone’s shouting Either/Or. Luckily, we Know Better. We Know Reality is Both/And. How does that work? Does Therru get to take Ged and Tenar home on the Other Wind after all? Both/And works because Either/Or is 2D, and Contradiction doesn’t happen in 5D. It’s Paradox there, or more accurately, it’s just more Unitary and Multifarious than Duality can Grok.

The Naked Square from Converting Fear to Power (Sedna) to Continuing to Melt Down Civilization (Atlantis) by Failing to be Accountable (Damocles) to the Web of Life (Arachne) is also Noteworthy.

Now, in astrology Dragon is the other name for the Moon’s North and South Nodes. The South Node is the Dragon’s Tail, our Held Emotions, which can knock us several blocks off our Path with a small twitch. The North Node is the Dragon’s Head, our Life Mission, which Lights a Fire under our Butt once we Figure Out what the Hell we’re Doing Here. So do the Nodes play nice in the Pluto-Atropos Initiation chart?

Whew! Fully Self-Resolving! One Big Challenge – to Let Go of not just our Expired Karma, but also our Unexpired Karma (Lachesis). Karma is Dead, Recall. We are not Helpless against our Karma. All we need to do is Bring it into Consciousness, Notice that a situation has Triggered our Expectations of Bummers, and Change our Response to it. With NathaJay’s Lighten Up, Buttercup for instance (see previous post).

But look at all those Heavyweights on the Dragon’s Tail! Whoever moves these planets around really wants us to Pay Attention! to our most Recalcitrant Emotions! Especially the ones that We’d rather Die than Feel. Ego Deaths (Requiem), Transmutation (Ka’epaoka’awela), Trust (Eurydike), and the Red Dragon of Enlightenment (Zhulong), all getting whacked around by the Spurred Dragon’s Tail. Who’s on the other side of the Argument, standing up for our Mission? Just Our Soul (Uranus).

It’s not drawn in on the chart, but there’s even a Yin Gate, a Mystery School, on the Nodal Axis. A Yin Gate means “Don’t you Dare try to Understand the Relationship between your Karma and your Mission – it will only Lead you Astray. Because all of the Quincunxes (two planets five Signs apart) between the planets on either side of the Nodes. Each Quincunx is a mini-Mystery School that the Dualistic Mind lacks the Bandwidth to Grok.

A Crystal that carries Dragon Energy? Goshenite, Clear Beryl, Beryllium Aluminum Cyclosilicate, where the SiO₄ Silicate nodes are arranged in Hexagonal Rings, like Aquamarine and Emerald, the blue and green forms of Beryl. Goshenite “pierces the veil of maya or illusion which separates the ego and the analytical mind from true recognition of reality” (Marquist & Frasl, p.70). Sounds a lot like “Pluto Initiates asteroid Atropos in 27 Capricorn, The Ability to See through the Veil, which we can use to Ascend if we Choose to,” don’t it. You’ll want Full Screen for this one…

Nature Is Always in Balance

So, what about Hupers? Well, contrary to poplar opinion, Hupers are part of Nature. A small part, but one which punches far beyond its weight when it comes to Destructiveness. So yes, Hupers are always in Balance. What’s Missing when we Feel – or Are – Out of Balance, resides in the Unconscious. We can’t Rely totally on our Feelings to Inform us when we’re Out of Balance, because most of us were Programmed to Overcompensate for what our Programmers Repressed. It’s often a Cultural thing, since Cultures which Overcompensate for Anxiety or Insecurity or Fear, do so by Encouraging Conscious Aggression. Goddess Knows we could do with fewer of these kinds of Cultures, or Families, or Führers on Earth.

This is Lit Up because the planetary symbol for Abuse and Privilege, Nessus, is particularly Emphatic (Stationary) till at least PST 3am (GMT 11am, IST 4:30 pm, AEDT Qld 9pm) 27 November. Hupers get Out of Balance partly because they rely on Mental Dualities to Idealize Behaviors and even Emotions. In Striving toward “the Good,” Hupers push what’s “Bad” into the Unconscious. If anyone’s been following the Collapse of the FTX Crypt-O’Currency Exchange, they’re seeing a perfect example. “SBF” seems to be such a good Con that he may even have Conned himself. Seems to be quite a few of these Self-Con Jobs emerging from the Dustbunnies lately, Emulating that “Man from Florida Who Made an Announcement” and that gazillionaire who’s been Roasting a tiny little bird on a spit for Entertainment, and Recruiting Men from Florida.

Nothing Cons others better than the source of the word itself, Confidence. Hupers probably worship Confidence even more than they Worship Wealth, because they know that Confidence is one of the first prerequisites for Accumulating Wealth. The hallmark of Conservatism is the need to Rely on Authority, and nothing promotes Authority like Unconditional Confidence. Privilege doesn’t happen without Confidence, and Abuse doesn’t happen without Privilege. It’s the Mental Dualities that trap Hupers into circumstances like this.

When we have an Angel whispering in one ear and a Devil in the other and we have a hard time telling which is the Angel, the Way Out is Up. We Tell and Ask ourself, Ok, those are the End Points – of What Dimension? In the case of Abuse and Privilege, one Answer is Equality. If you’re dealing with Sexual Abuse and the protagonists are Equals, you’re just Playing Doctor, or some adult equivalent. There can of course be many Answers to the What Dimension? Question, and most of them will be Useful to some degree. When we look at Abuse and Privilege as an Equality issue, the Power Dynamics become Obvious, and most of them can be Traced to the Patriarchy.

The Classical Crystal for representing Equality is Clear Quartz, pure Silicate, like my personal favorite Diamantina Quartz, or my second-favorite, this Record-Keeper Corinto Quartz…

Just less than half of the Earth’s Crust is Oxygen, and just over a quarter is Silicon, adding to 75% of the Crust. Add other elements to the mix, and Silicates comprise 95% of the Crust, though only 12% is Quartz. Silicon and Oxygen combine as SiO₄ tetrahedrons, with the Silicon nucleus in the center of four triangles pasted together at the edges, like at right. An Oxygen nucleus sits at each of the four corners. Quartz is a tektosilicate, where the tetrahedrons arrange themselves in a three-dimensional matrix.

The overall ratio in Quartz is SiO₂, because each Oxygen nucleus is shared between the Silicon nucleus in the current tetrahedron and the Silicon nucleus of the adjacent one. Quartz is a Messenger, carrying Energy, including Healing Energy, and having unique Electromagnetic properties. Tiny Quartz Crystals are used as timing devices in all computers and communication equipment. You wouldn’t be reading this without Quartz.

There are three Self-Resolving Challenges (in astrologuese, Diamond Star Configurations, or T-Squares [red triangles] and Fingers of the Goddess [green wedges] pointing to the same place) in the 27 November Emphatic Abuse and Privilege (Nessus Stationary) chart. Like all Challenges, these become SuperPowers when we Rise to the Challenge and become Confident that we’re Competent to handle it. The Challenges or T-Squares in our natal charts usually represent Lifelong Frustrations, because the Dramas never Work Out the way we wanted them to.

Once we Realize though that Real Life doesn’t Follow our Perfect Pictures, and think about How Much Experience we have with those Difficult Dramas, and how we have Learned how to Avoid the Worst Consequences of Imperfection, we figure out that – Whoa, these actually Are my SuperPowers! Most of the time, when we stop and think about it, the Elements of Life that give us the most Trouble, are also the Elements of Life that Others Ask us for Advice about! They See and Trust our Experience with the Issue, while we don’t yet, because we haven’t Chosen to Be Confident about the Value of Our Experience.

We probably won’t have time to convert the three current Challenges to SuperPowers, unless we have similar natal Challenges, but by making the effort to Tolerate Imperfection, we can Learn a heck of a lot about these Challenges, to use in future similar Situations. All three are Self-Resolving, which means that if we can take the role of Neutral Observer and Avoid too much Intervention to Save our Ego from Embarrassment, they’ll Work Out for the Best.

Mercury-Venus (Mind-Heart) with Mercury Out of Bounds (Strong) – Noticing how the Mind in its Arrogance or Privilege Believes itself to Make Better Decisions than our Heart, Emotions, and Values, and how we Abuse our Heart, Discount our Emotions, and Violate our own Values as a result! I don’t know about you, but for every minute I spend Learning to Quiet the Mind, Attend Closely to the Feelings – Sensations – in My Body that Align with My Emotion, Ask Reverently for Advice from my Body’s Ancient Wisdom, and Learning to Listen Attentively and Patiently and Impartially for that Advice, for every minute of that, I have spent and still spend days, months, years, Lifetimes Listening to My Thoughts about My Emotions, which at their very best are Fiction based on a True Story but Warped by My Programming, and more often Merely a Rehashing of My Past Failures to Learn the Wisdom Embedded in My Failures and the Failures of my Programmers.
  • The base of the red triangle, Juno-Nessus (Growth in Consciousness around Abuse and Privilege) Opposite Orcus-Thereus (Pattern-Breaking Merged with Bear-Wrestling) gives us a picture of what those would-be Angels-Devils on each Shoulder are whispering in our Ears – “You’re so fucking tired of Wrestling with this Bear of a Question about whether there’s Anything You can Do Differently to Avoid this Abuse or Memory, that you may as well just Surrender to Your Forever-Unresolved Anger and Fear and Shame about it.” “No, you’ve Done that a thousand times and you Know it doesn’t help At All. There must be Something you can Do Differently, that you haven’t Thought of yet!”
  • The base of the green wedge, Uranus-North Node (Soul Merged with Lifetime Mission) Sextile (Grace once we Make the First Step) Ganesa (Remover of Obstacles) tells us to whom we must Surrender in order for the Issue to Self-Resolve. Clues Galore! We might PIAVA to Ganesh that the Bear of a Question be Removed as an Obstacle. We can Ask Ourself, What If I Did Know My Soul and a Little about My Lifetime Mission – Maybe if I just Daydream about that I can Open Myself to My Own Intuition about What – If Anything – I need to Do About It.
  • The long green arms of the Finger of the Goddess, namely the Relationship between Mind-Heart and Soul-Mission, and the Relationship between Mind-Heart and Removal of Obstacles, are Quincunxes (5 Signs apart), which are Mystery Schools, filled with so many Paradoxes that the 2D Mind can only Screw it Up Royally. PIAVA that we Gain Wisdom Somehow, and Change the Subject!!! Get your Mind busy with Anything Else. Otherwise you’ll condemn yourself to more months and Lifetimes Debating with your Programmed Self-Sabotage. Guess who will win.
  • There are two short green lines or Unxes (1 Sign apart) on each side of the Focus. An Unx is a Get-Outa-Jail-Free card for Pattern-Breaking, an excellent time for some PIAVAs…

    • Mind-Heart Unx Klotho-Magdalena – God/Goddess, Please Open Me to Beginning a Whole New Life (Klotho) where I Constantly Ask For and Graciously Receive Mary Magdalene’s Loving Guidance (Magdalena) or something like that. (See 3. Chiron, below)
  • The Focus of the Diamond Star is at the Midpoint of Sagittarius, which is the Place where we Let Go Of Believing that we Know the Answer, and Open to Brainstorming about Alternatives, and Stop Rejecting Our Intuition (end of Taurus Duad and Beginning of Gemini Duad of Sagittarius).

Lachesis (Karma that has not Expired on its own, but which we have the Power to Let Go Of Consciously If We Choose to) – There is a Pattern or Habit or Addiction that is Stopping Us from Moving Forward, and we can’t seem to be Able to Break it. We haven’t given ourself Permission to Break it, and Permission to Accept the Consequences, which are Unpredictable. Karma is Dead. It doesn’t have us in its Grasp, we have it Firmly Grasped. Even when Karma has Expired, we still seek it out, because it’s Familiar and we Feel Lost without it. Karma is our Expectations. The last time that happened, such and such happened, and now that is happening again, and I’m Terribly Anxious that such and such will happen again. Once again, we have to Move Up! What’s really going on in Current Moment Reality? I’m Feeling Anxiety! What will I Create when I’m Feeling Anxiety? More Anxiety. So I need to find a way to Move to a Posture of Love or Gratitude or Peace or Excitement

The Nodal Axis, with Uranus at the North Node (The course of my Life, from my Held Emotions [South Node] to my Lifetime Mission [North Node], with Soul Merged with My Mission!). • 4. Finally, with Vacancies in Air and Fire, the only Grand Trines (Unconditional Blessings) are in Water and Earth. Since the only T-Squares are in Air and Fire, so none of the three is Enhanced by a Grand Trine to its Focus. However, the Water and Earth Grand Trines connect the ends of all three of the basal Oppositions, helping make the three Complementary to one another. In addition, the two Magnetic/Feminine Grand Trines create a Grand Sextile (Fabulous Grace, though it requires the Initiative of the “User”). So while the Challenges are all to the Dynamic/Masculine Signs (which obviously need the Work the most), the Goddess lends her Max Grace to the pudding!

Dropping Self-Sabotage

As we’ve said many times, Karma died in 2012, when Linear Time became Obsolete. But our Karma doesn’t cling to us, we cling to it, because like Dinner and Dessert, it’s what we’re accustomed to. Without it there’s a Big (w)Hole to fill – disconcerting at best, often crazy-making. It’s very Addictive, very difficult to break the habit without Support and Commitment.

Like Alan Watts pointed out, it’s harder to break our Good Karma than it is to break our Bad Karma. That should be fairly obvious – Bad Karma often involves Punishment on one level or another, and Good Karma gets constant positive social Reinforcement, so there’s Motivation for the Bad, quite the Opposite for the Good. Without Motivation, from whence will the Commitment arise? Yet if we want to get to Yintegrity and 5D, we need to Break our Good Karma as well.

Remember that all Karmic Patterns are Profound Skills – simply because we’ve had so much Practice and so many Repetitions with them, in so many different situations. Karma isn’t Good or Bad on the surface, it’s Undesirable because we have no Choice about when to use the Skill – it Operates beneath the level of our Consciousness, whether or not it’s Appropriate and Effective for what we want to Accomplish. In fact, once we break free of the Unconscious Compulsion, we need these Skills, used Intentionally, to Accomplish our Life Mission.

We Believe that Karma is created when we make an Oath or Vow or Promise, or even a Decision, that has Life-or-Death or other serious consequences. Conscious of these consequences, we work hard to forget that we made the Choice, instead Reframing it as Just The Way Things Are. If we can make it a Fact of Life, we’re less likely to Violate it. Through Repetition, we convince ourself that it really is The Way Things Are, and that ends up as an Unconscious – Karmic – Belief in subsequent Lifetimes.

All Karma is Personal. Sure, there are Cultural Patterns and Prescriptions that Act Out like Karma. Like the almost-Universal Practice of scapegoating other Cultures. Once in a while, a Cultural Karmic Pattern can shift on its own. But does that actually Change the World, when all of the folks who Practice it are still Addicted to it? Not until at least a hundred of the “Monkeys,” and probably a lot more, who Practice it have brought it into Consciousness and converted it to a Purposive Skill. Or until (seven?) previous generations move on to their next Adventures.

When asteroid Karma is Lit Up, our Karma is usually in our face. The South Node is similar but different. It includes our Held Emotions, the ones we’d rather Die than Feel. Much Cultural Karma is the result of Cultural or Racial Trauma. We can think of the South Node as Individual or Collective PTSD. The South Node harbors Behaviors that Got Us Dead in other Lifetimes. Those Behaviors were probably Karmic – if they weren’t, we might have Chosen other Skills instead.

We still need those Skills, and there may be a bundle of other Skills that we collected or emphasized in that Lifetime, that we Repressed along with the one(s) that Got Us Dead. This collection of Skills, used Intentionally, is particularly Critical to Accomplishing our Life Mission (the North Node).

Dwarf planet Orcus is in charge of Punishing Oath-Breakers, which would include Karma-Changers. As a fearsome Beast, Orcus helped Enforce our Oaths during Karma-gestating Lifetimes, and that Memory of Terror that’s attached to the Karma may be added to our Fear of what might happen to us if we skip Dinner and Dessert. Asteroid Vesta represents our Unconscious Limiting Beliefs, which are highly correlated with our Karma.

Meanwhile, is our Fate different from our Karma? In many ways, not so much. And there are four asteroids that are named after the Greek Goddesses who were in charge of our Fate. Greek Drama (or at least, our Cultural Projections into Greek Drama) was particularly adept at dramatizing Fate. While it’s easy to view Greek Drama as implying that The Devil Made Me Do It, we can also view it as Information about What We Need to Bring into Consciousness so that we can make Choices that save us from being Victims of our own Fate.

Asteroid Moira is in charge of the whole Process of Unconscious Fate and Conscious Choice. Asteroid Klotho “cuts the cloth” (that’s where our word “cloth” comes from) on which the Tapestry of our Fate is woven. Asteroid Lachesis “measures the cloth,” or determines the Duration of a particular Karmic “Gift.” And Asteroid Atropos is in charge of Endings – literally Death, but we generalize to include the Death of an individual thread of Karma, which is appropriate because the Termination of any significant Karmic Pattern usually requires an Ego Death.

Our Held Emotions are the poster child for this, as they are the Emotions which We would rather Die than Feel. But here we don’t interpret that as We would rather Die than Feel, we interpret it as We would rather Die than Feel – that is, an Ego Death, the equivalent of a Rebirth without an intervening Physical Death.

This has been a significant week from the Perspective of Fate and Karma, as asteroid Atropos (Endings) was very Strong (Stationary) on 10 March 2021 (2:04 pm PST in 20 Cancer), asteroid Lachesis (Karmic Duration) was very Strong (Stationary) on 13 March (7:12 am PST in 18 Scorpio), and asteroid Vesta (Unconscious Limiting Beliefs) crossed dwarf planet Orcus (Oath-Making and -Breaking) on 13 March (2:18 pm PST in 13 Virgo).

In addition (Busy, Busy, Busy), the Lachesis Station, supercharged because it’s Out of Bounds, Complicates (T-Squares) an Argument (Opposition) between asteroid Karma and an Expanded asteroid Moira (Conjunct Jupiter). “Wait! Are you saying that I can Change my Fate? ” Lachesis Measured the Duration of a thread of our Fate, but there’s nothing to prevent us from cheating Fate by bringing that thread into Consciousness Early.

The Vesta-Orcus Merger (Conjunction) makes a major Challenge to (T-Squares) the North Node and the Brightly Lit Up South Node (Conjunct the Great Attractor, an unknown Massive Object or Field pulling the whole Milky Way toward the Midpoint of Sagittarius). “Wait! Are you saying that it was ‘my’ Choices that ultimately created my Limitations? Can I unmake those Choices?“

And the Atropos Station not only gets very Tied Up in issues around Trust (Conjunct Out-of-Bounds asteroid Eurydike), but also issues around Self-Love and Self-Authority (Opposite asteroid Sappho and dwarf planet Hylonome). “Wait! Can I really Trust that Fear of Emptiness is the only thing that inhibits my Freedom, not Dragons? That’s not what my mother and the preacherman told me!“

In addition to Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty and Codependence), Lilith (ditto) is also Activated (Opposing the Lachesis Station and also T-Squaring the Jupiter-Moira to Karma Opposition) – remember what we said earlier about Good Karma and Yintegrity?

Dwarf planet Nessus (Abuse and Privilege) is also involved, as it Opposes Vesta-Orcus and also T-Squares the Nodes, including the South Node that’s glowing like Rudolph’s nose, meaning that it may be a particularly fortuitous time to Let Go of Abuse Karma. And a fortuitous time to jettison Privilege Karma.

That leaves out asteroid Klotho. Are we to endure the Emptiness without the Rebirth of a new Ego? Well, it’s a sleeper, but it’s there. It’s Merged with (Conjunct) dwarf planet Haumea (also symbolizing Rebirth), and at the focus of a Mjölner (Epiphanies) to the Square between Nessus and the North Node. If you look close in the chart below, and your monitor or printer is good enough at color separation, you may be able to distinguish the orange Mjölner lines, pointing to Klotho-Haumea, from the many red (Square and Opposition) lines.

Insights that shift Energies from a Belief that “It’s Just The Way It Is” to “Omigod! I can Change that too?!? ” can count double as Karma-Changers, if they’re followed up by the ongoing Work of substituting Constructive Thoughts and Behaviors for their Karmic forbears. Ultimately, it “Reps” – Repetitions – that shift Self-Sabotaging Karmic Patterns to Habits that we want to cultivate.

For instance, I read this earlier this week…

“Anthony Trewavas described plants as operating: ‘There is no unique separate response to each signal in this complex of informational inflows but merely a response issued from an integration of all environmental and internal information.’ In other words, the organism takes in all the incoming data simultaneously as it occurs and integrates it as one coherent whole, then crafts a response… The amount of incoming data includes trillions upon trillions of bits; when you are talking about Gaia the numbers are close enough to infinity as to make no difference. There is no way that linear processes could be used to generate the increasingly complex innovations on form and behavior that would stabilize homeodynamis. Top-down control here just doesn’t work.” –Stephen Harrod Buhner, Plant Intelligence and the Imaginal Realm, pp.152-3.

Within a few hours I read correlated ideas in three other books on different subjects (by Gay Hendricks, Timothy Hass, and Marko Pogačnik). The result was that I Realized that I’ve been relying too much on Intellect to move toward an important Manifestation that I’m working on, when I need to shift even more than I already am to Intuition and PIAVAs. I Realized that I had been Doubting my next interim Target because I couldn’t imagine what Mechanism would get me there.

Mechanisms are Logical, Known Steps. We can’t Manifest Territory beyond our Known World using Known or Logical Steps. If we could, we’d have done so long ago. We can’t Reach Beyond our Grasp with Dynamic Processes, only with Magnetic Processes.

We aren’t without Blessings to make this process Easier…

Vesta-Orcus and the two Fatefull Stations are all two Signs apart, and they’re joined by three other Sextiles to create a Grand Sextile in Water and Earth – the PIAVA Signs.

There are eight Unxes (two planets one Sign apart, indicated by the short green lines), including at least one Unx for each of the three Stars of this show. Atropos (Endings) gets two such Pattern-Breaking Gifts, one to asteroid Karma itself, and one to the North Node (MIssion) and dwarf planet Asbolus (Intuition, which we’re already Summoning). Asteroid Karma also Unxes Vesta-Orcus.

These three Unxes alone are enough to banish whatever Self-Sabotage you’ve been working on. If you still Feel Stuck on those, check to see if any of them Let Go while you weren’t looking. Try some Easy but Meaningful PIAVAs to see if they work now – that should Ease any Discouragement you have over the others.

The Lachesis-Station Unxes the South Node and Great Attractor, suggesting to me that your Held Emotions may be ready to be Eased into your stable of Permitted Emotions. Remember this fellow from Yellow Submarine? If you Ask him, he can just vacuum them up. So much for unknown Mechanisms.

Boundaries III

A we mentioned in Boundaries, “Other, of course, isn’t just Other Hupers.”  We’ve been writing about Libra and Pallas for several days without realizing till now that Other and Boundary are really the same concept or word, just seen from different Perspectives.  Without a Boundary there wouldn’t be an Other, and without Other we’d never have the notion of Boundary.  It’s all about Identity, which is a lot more Fluid than we usually think.  And about Duality, which is a lot more Limiting than we usually think.

We Hupers usually think of the Veil between us and the Other Side as more of a Limitation than a Boundary, but Boundary it is, and the Other Side is as much an element of Libra as your paramour.

“He was not wakened again by Alder, but he had a bad dream of his own.

“He was standing by a wall of stone near the top of a long hillside of dry grey grass that ran down from dimness into the dark.  He knew he had been there before, had stood there before, but he did not know when, or what place it was.  Someone was standing on the other side of the wall, the downhill side, not far away.  He could not see the face, only that it was a tall man, cloaked.  He knew that he knew him.  The man spoke to him, using his true name.  He said, ‘You will soon be here, Ged.’

“Cold to the bone, he sat up, staring to see the space of the house about him, to draw its reality about him like a blanket.  He looked out the window at the stars.  The cold came into his heart then.  They were not the stars of summer, beloved, familiar, the Cart, the Falcon, the Dancers, the Heart of the Swan.  They were the Other stars, the small, still stars of the dry land, that never rise or set.  He had known their names once, when he knew the names of things.

” ‘Avert!’ he said aloud and made the gesture to turn away misfortune that he had learned when he was ten years old.”  (Ursula Le Guin, The Other Wind, pp.12-13)

“We who have true names keep them when we die, it’s our use-name that is forgotten… This is a mystery to the learned, I can tell you, but as well as we understand it, a true name is a word in the True Speech. … When my master Aihal died, my wife was there with him; and as he was dying he said to her, ‘It is changed, all changed.‘  He was looking across that wall.  From which side I do not know.”  (ibid, p.45)

“Kalessin said: ‘Long ago we chose.  We chose freedom.  Men chose the yoke.  We chose fire and the wind.  They chose water and the earth.  We chose the west,  and they chose the east.’

“And Kalessin said: ‘But always among us some envy them their wealth, and always among them some envy us our liberty.  So it was that evil came into us and will come into us again, until we choose again, and forever, to be free.  Soon I am going beyond the west to fly on the Other Wind.  I will lead you there, or wait for you, if you will come.’ …

“Then Kalessin said, ‘Once we were one people.  And in sign of that, in every generation of men, one or two are born who are dragons also.  And in every generation of our people, longer than the quick lives of men, one of us is born who is also human.  Of these one is now living in the Inner Isles.  And there is one of them living there now who is a dragon.  These two are the messengers, the bringers of choice.  There will be no more such born to us or to them.  For the balance changes.’ ”  (Ibid, pp.167-68)

We can also compare our day-to-day Experience with that of Daphne Charters and her friends (Forty Years with the Fairies, pp.260-61)…

“This work, in which we all assist, is known as a transformation.  We seek and find a lost soul whose astral body, as well as the physical, has died, leaving no trace to normal Astral eyes.  However, because we cannot see a ‘dead’ person, owing to his faster rate of vibration, it does not follow that he has no body.  So it is with those whose vibrations have sunk through the years until only the Great Ones know where they lie.

“We find these people by their vibration, however slow and, although we are unable to see them when we reach them, we mark the spot and direct rays of power and love upon them until their vibrations are sufficiently raised for the bodies to become visible to us.  This is the first stage in the rehabilitation of ‘lost souls,’ as much power has to be directed to them over sometimes long periods before consciousness returns.

“In order to achieve even the first part of the transformation, it is necessary for many hundreds of people from the Astral to gather together.  By passing power through their bodies, it becomes sufficiently coarsened to be effective amidst very slow vibrating matter.  This is where Daphne is of use to us, for her physical body vibrates slower than those of us who live on the Astral, a higher plane, thus power which is passed through her coarsens the whole.

“Unless you are clairvoyant, you will not have seen a display of power so you cannot know the magnitude of the volume, or the intensity of light.  Fairies can naturally see this power for it is their life’s work to distribute it, but normally they know only the quantity which they can collectively produce in their own group.  Our own fairies, who always help us, are ever amused at the never-ending supply so we were interested to see how the delegates would be affected…”

“How different is the power which we witnessed today to that which is known by the same name on Earth.  Man ever seeks for power to overcome his neighbors, to add to his possessions, or to acquire authority over more people.  Today we were privileged to see the essence from which all these petty misnomers have their being.

“But this true-power, in its purity of purpose, performed a deed so wondrous that if men were told of it, they would not believe.  If only those who sought to misuse it understood the condition in which they will find themselves when their ridiculous, puffed-up physical bodies and accompanying personalities are no more, perhaps they would then use it to lift up instead of to crush, to comfort rather than exploit, and, in the happiness which they would at last know, they would find the key to a better world.”

So, I was Wondering about the Other planet in Libra, Makemake.  And it turns out that, at least for now, the Bottom Line of Makemake in Libra is that If we Want to Manifest What We Want, we have to Seek Out and Revert our Victim Postures.  Drawing up the Makemake chart for the moment when Juno enters Gemini – ie, when we are likely to be due for substantial Consciousness Expansion (8:30 pm PST 10 February)…

…Reveals two big Challenges (T-Squares)…

♥ A Challenge to Manifestation itself (Makemake) between Making it a Value of ours to be Fully Responsive to our Survival Instincts (Venus-Pholus-Quaoar) and Choosing Consciousness over Fate (asteroid Moira).

♣ Fate is what happens To Us when we’re not Conscious of what’s going on.  It’s not about Why but rather about What.  What’s the Pattern?  When our Repeating Bummers happen, what Precedes them?  When “bad luck” befalls us, there’s a sequence of events that leads up to it.  We aren’t talking Cause & Effect – that’s a left-brain dead end.  Useful if you’re Stuck in the 3D Dynamic Masculine Creative process, but Obfuscating if you want to use 5D Magnetic Feminine Manifestation methods.

PIAVA that you become aware of What Precedes your Self-Sabotage.  If you already knew what it was you’d have fixed it long ago.  It’s behind your Blinders, and you won’t see it without enlisting the Cooperation of the Unconscious – that is, using PIAVA.  For instance, “Lord Ganesh, Please Remove All Obstacles to my Realizing How I Stumble into Self-Sabotage.”  Once you get Conscious about these Patterns, you can Choose otherwise.  https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava-review/.

♣ We’ve been working with Responding Fully (Pholus) to our Survival Instincts (Quaoar) – ie, Disallowing our Yes-Buts that try to Protect our Routines – for a long time.  We’re running out of Excuses.  It’s past time to Accept this as a basic Value.

♥ The second Challenge is about Reframing the Beliefs Created by our Victim Postures (Vesta-OR10-Nessus) between Ego Death (Nemesis) and Sustainability (Ceres).

Like our Survival Instincts, we’ve also been working with our Abuse Memories for a long time now.  First we have to Retrieve them – or Allow them to Retrieve us (OR10), and Acknowledge their Reality.  Then we have to Empathize with our Real Victim, Revert any Blaming-the-Victim behavior we indulged or encountered, and Deal with our Real Emotions.  That usually takes a lot more than a few hundred Poor-Sweethearts, though they can be useful.  https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/poor-sweetheart/.

People talk a lot about Forgiveness, but in a real sense what we need is the Opposite of Forgiveness, as our original Tolerance was a form of Forgiveness to begin with.  We don’t Forgive; we Discover that we’ve Forgiven.  It’s an Observation, not an Action.  As with Self-Sabotage, we need to Discover what Preceded our episodes of Abuse, so we can Learn to Recognize the Pattern before it turns Abusive, and Choose Otherwise.  While Sharing all this increases the Pain, it’s often very difficult to do alone.

♣ Yes, just about every step in the process of Clearing Abuse – Recall, Acceptance, Self-Empathy, Embracing our Real, Explosive Emotions, Opening to the Patterns – requires an Ego Death (Nemesis).  Our Resistance to Ego Death must be Reframed, so we Recognize when it’s happening and Learn to Celebrate it as the fastest route to Living a Better Life.

♣ And as we move through Abuse, we have to Recognize that we’re likely to be Abused in some ways every day.  Every “trivial” unkind remark, Intentional or otherwise, can make us Feel Less-Than.  So we have to get very good at Recognizing it, Owning and Healing our Reactions, and approaching Ego Death as we would a Latte, in order to make this whole process Sustainable (Ceres).

♥ And Sustainability-Ceres is the kingpin of the whole chart, as it is the head of a Kite that connects the two T-Squares.  A Kite is a Grand Trine (three planets equally spaced around the Circle) with a fourth planet halfway between two of the three.  The fourth planet – Ceres – becomes the Focus of the substantial Dumb-Luck Blessings served up by the Grand Trine.

So we have a Golden Opportunity to bring these Challenges – Cleaning Up our Manifestations by Choosing to Support our Survival Instincts, and Rooting Out the Limiting Beliefs that our Abuse History has left us with – into Resolution, where they Serve our Deepest Desires rather than Sabotaging them.

The three corners of the Grand Trine, or Big Grace, are Manifestation (Makemake), Ego Death (Nemesis), and The End of Karma (asteroids Atropos and Karma).  We’ve actually been working on the Death of Karma for a lot longer than we’ve been working on Abuse Memories or Responding to Survival Instincts.  The Realization in the Western World that Karma is about Inertia rather than Retribution has been with us since Alan Watts’s books in the 1950s.

A corollary is that Karma does not Grasp us, we Grasp it.  Like our Other Challenges, Letting Go of Our Karma involves Noticing when it’s recurring, Reverting our Belief that it’s Inevitable, Discovering the Patterns that led up to it, Noticing when those Patterns Begin the next time, and Choosing an Alternative.  The Death of Karma is a Given in this Drama; it’s not something we’re being Scheduled to work on, it’s something that we can use as a model for the Abuse and Survival Issues we are working on.

Dragon, of course, is a synonym for Karma, and as we saw, Dragons have gone to fly on the Other Wind.

20-25 Degrees

Aa apparent newcomer has written to ask about their many natal planets at around 20 Degrees, in response to our October 2016 suggestion that we begin working with these Degrees now, since they will be Lit Up when our Home Planet begins Her Big Reorg in the early 2020s – see https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2016/10/20/2020-b/ for our article and their comment. 

Of course, as we repeatedly point out, these Degrees continue to be Lit Up by many of our planetary Companions today.  As we write, one quarter of the planets we follow are in or adjacent to this Zone, which is only one sixth of the Zodiac wide.  It’s a useful question, so I’ll answer it…

Our approach is to intend to befriend the Unconscious because we Believe that the Power of the Ego is minuscule compared to the Power of the Unconscious, and because the Ego is usually Unconscious of that fact.

We also intend to work not with Qualities but with Energies and Relationships, and therefore we work mostly with what we call the “Angles,” though most astrologers would call them “Aspects.”  We prefer Angles because that’s what they are in plain language – the Angular Relationship between Planets (and other astrological Hot Spots such as the Nodes).

Unfortunately there is an astrological term “Angles” as well, meaning the Ascendant, Midheaven, etc., or the major House Cusps.  We can usually live with this ambiguity because we very seldom talk about Houses, since we write for the whole planet, and House positions vary with location.  Folks who commonly use the astrological term “Angles” may be confused by the way we use the word, alas.

Most astrologers I know would not argue that the T-Square (a third planet halfway between two planets that Oppose one another) is one of the most problematic Angular Relationships, largely because it usually seems to indicate a Sisyphean area where Success is not possible but the Compulsion to Keep Trying is unrelenting.  Consequently, the most appropriate keyword for the Ego’s Relationship to a T-Square seems to be Frustration.

We also Believe that, (1) on a Soul level, we Chose the Configurations of planets in our natal chart, because that’s what “We” (our Soul) wanted to “Work On” in the current Lifetime.  Many folks have difficulty with this concept; the easy path to it lies through shifting your Identity till you find a place from which it’s True.

We often also interpret the Configurations in our natal chart as (2) the specific Earth Energies where we Chose to help the Planet Heal. 

The first approach assumes that our Soul is using the Planet for its own Education, while the second approach assumes that we are in fact Cosmic Healers who came here to Help Earth Ascend.  Take your pick, though as usual, I recommend Both/And rather than Either/Or.

Since our reader has Uranus T-Square to their Nodes, I have no doubt that they’re in the latter category.

As Ascension Helpers, then, our T-Squares indicate the places where our task is to suck up all the Frustration (Fear, Anger, Despair, Separation, etc) that the Planet Feels, and Transform it (we are after all nothing if not Energy Transmogrifiers) into what the Planet Prefers to Feel (Joy, Bliss, Attunement, Excitement, Unity, etc). 

How do we know what the Planet Prefers to Feel?  Easy.  She and We are One.

Note that more or less implicit in that paragraph is that Emotions are not Personal, but more like Weather or a Virus.  We Attach our Identity to an Emotion when we Associate or Merge with it, which is usually part of our Karma, or, we would suggest, because we came here to Learn and Teach how to Detach our Identity from that Emotion (look up “Poor-Sweetheart” and “Held Emotions” in the Categories list to explore further).

So, in the planets our new Friend has listed, we’d go straight to the T-Square, Uranus Square the Nodal Axis.  The Egoic side of Uranus is Disruption, and the Egoic side of the Nodes is the Desire to Let Go of Karma.  So we would suppose that our Friend, on the Ego side, is (or was, if he’s since Grown) often Frustrated by Attempting and Failing to Let Go of sticky Karmic Patterns, or what we often call Self-Sabotaging Archetypes. 

For instance, our Friend might try over and over to walk a “straight and narrow” path, only to wake up and discover that they’ve strayed from it.  Or worse, they might find that other people are repeatedly screwing them over…

Now, let’s turn this around and look at it from the Soul’s Perspective.  First of all, what Uranus Disrupts is everything that Inhibits its Purpose. 

Since most of us were Programmed to Receive Truth from Outside ourself rather than Inside, the Karmic Ego will be constantly Frustrated by the Uranian Disruption of our frequent Attempts to ignore our own Internal Truth in order to be Loyal to our Programming and Programmers. 

Truth resides in the Heart, and it’s Different for everyone, so only by Programming someone to Trust their own Heart (Uranus) can Uranian Disruption be Loved as the Urge to Liberation that it is.

Now, again from the Soul’s Perspective, the Nodal Axis is not so much about the Desire to Let Go of Karma as it’s about a Decision over which Earthly trends to emphasize.  Contrary to the usual Interpretation, Karma does not Grasp Us, We Grasp It.  So all we have to do, to quote Paul, is to “Let It Be.”

The Signs will give us more specific information. Our new Friend’s South Node is in Aquarius and North Node in Leo, indicating that their Intended (Soul-level) path runs from Social to Personal Integrity.  Learning to Love themselves Unconditionally, for instance. 

Meanwhile, Uranus is in Scorpio, which is Fearless and Relentless.  So our Friend is likely to be Driven to stop at Nothing in their Effort to Learn and Teach Unconditional Self-Love.

Which is Fantastic!  Now, what if the Ego and Programming still get in the way and continue to Sabotage us with Downers?  (Which may never actually go away, just become more quickly seen through.)  Well, Reframing help a whole lot…

A T-Square Feels Like the Compulsive need to Achieve greater Perfection around some Goal.  In this Uranus-in-Scorpio case, that would be Permanent Soul Contact.  Or, if the Soul is Dismissed, then something like an Irrepressible Urge to Disrupt Untruth. 

But even the part about Permanent Soul Contact is the Ego and Programming speaking.  If you’ve taken graduate seminars in a good program, you probably Noticed that there are no “correct” answers, there are only “interesting” questions and examination of them that is thorough and creative.

That’s where you find the T-Square – on the Soul level you’ve Intended a Lifetime where you re-examine everything over and over again, with slight variations, each time from a slightly different Perspective, so you become uniquely qualified to Teach the subject, since you’ve Experienced it from all angles, inside and out. 

And of course the key to all that is Noticing that there are no “correct” answers and that your Perfectionist Quest, while essential, was not for the purpose that you earlier supposed.  That’s the way our Mission (North Node) operates – we have a Shadow to Pursue, till we pounce on it and Discover that it’s just a Shadow, like Ged in Earthsea.

Once you’ve done this Reframing, Frustration will continue to try to sneak back into the driver’s seat, and that’s where Poor-Sweethearting, Tapping, and PIAVAing (look them up in the Categories list and practice them) will be useful and Powerful.

The ultimate Goal for all of us is Unconditional Self-Love, so eventually you’ll be Teaching us all.  Which we eagerly anticipate!

Full Moon 29.11b

The New Moon itself will be a Big Challenge to the Ego and the status quo.  It occurs within a few arcminutes (ie, very little – one eighteen-hundredth of the Zodiac) from Juno, which symbolizes the Edges of Consciousness.  In other words, over the next three weeks we’re going to have to work like Hell to keep from Learning and Growing.  Don’t forget that this is in the context of the previous post.

In addition, it’s also Conjunct asteroid Nemesis.  The mythic Nemesis is about Punishment for Hubris.  If you’re Manifesting your True Self, and you’re not saddled with a Punishing God Image, you won’t demonstrate Hubris; you’ll be Enjoying Power-With “the Gods” rather than Power-Over.  So what then constitutes Hubris?  Trying to operate from the Ego rather than the True Self.  This is kind of like a “pop quiz” – we’ve been studying Mask Removal for almost five years now, and “Reality” is about to deliver to us homework on anything we’ve skimmed over.

If we ever wonder what we’re doing here and why, all we need to do is look at the Moon’s Nodes.  The South Node shows us the Emotions and Inertial Patterns that Limit us, and the North Node shows us what we need to do to Liberate our Self.  Hidden behind the Emotions and Inertial Patterns represented by the South Node are the Unclaimed Skills we need to achieve our Liberation.  We can’t do it without both.

Well, this New Moon also T-Squares – Mastery through Challenge – the Nodes.  So whatever Crisis the Ego undergoes will be an incredible Teaching about why we came here and what Unfinished Business we still have.  But a big sign on your bathroom Mirror –

and on your smartphone screen, and every time you see it,  check yourself.  Are you in any sense Feeling Victimized, by anything?  Is there anything in your Life that isn’t completely your own Choice?  This is what we’re working on for the rest of 2016.  If we do this homework, it doesn’t need to be difficult – other than the Ego Death, but we’re used to that, right?

“You poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling like a Victim around that, aren’t you.”

“Great Spirit, please help me to Lovingly and Gently and Rapidly and Completely Embrace all traces of Victimhood within my Energy Field, and Let It Go for good.  Thank you, Great Spirit!”

Look to see if there’s any Residual Emotion around it, and Tap it Out.  Go through the PIAVA list and pick out the one or two Choices that seem to fit best in the moment.

It’s not just the Nodes – Neptune is on the South Node, meaning that the Veil is very thin here.  This is good, because it gives us direct access to what would usually be hidden from us.  It may Feel horrible, but that’s just Ego Death, you’ve been through that so many times before, you’re no stranger to it.  Embrace it, look beyond it and Imagine how much better your Life will be without those Limitations.  Of course it’s Scary; keep Tapping on that till you’re shaking less and Feeling a little more in Control.  Then do your PIAVAs.

“Ganeshi, please Remove All Obstacles to my Being Fully and Effortlessly Responsible to Everything in my Life that I have Chosen.  Thank you, Ganeshi!”

If you’re Responsible (able to Respond) to what you’ve Chosen, you won’t even have to think about it, you’ll just Act in your own Interests.  If your Choices aren’t the right ones, it should rapidly become obvious, and you can make different Choices.  If you’re being Responsible to things that you haven’t Chosen, that will fall away.  Don’t Hesitate to PIAVA these Changes if you Feel the Need.

And dwarf planet Orcus is on the North Node.  Orcus’s job is to Punish Oath-Breakers.  Nemesis’s big brother, the Bully.  You don’t need Oaths to Commit to your True Self.  Most Oaths are Self-Betrayals, and most of them have been outside of our Consciousness – till now.  At the Time, we needed them for our Safety, then we forgot we made them.  Now they’re just chains around our ankles and we can Let Them Go.  Orcus’s Punishment is Guilt, and you need to Stand Still for it.  Expect it, Locate it in your Body, be Loving with it there, “poor Sweetheart” it, PIAVA your Freedom.

So this is a Big Deal, kind of a Culmination of all the Work we’ve been doing all our Life.  Bigtime Learning Opportunity, Bigtime Mystery School, Bigtime Recovery of our Genius, Bigtime Karma-Buster, Bigtime Consciousness Goose, Bigtime Life Progress Review.  And that ain’t all.  The New Moon T-Squares the Nodes.  So what lies at the Vacancy Opposite to it, that would make it a more Balanced Grand Cross?  Vacancies represent what we need to provide, Consciously, to complete the circuit so the Energy can flow.

Aldebaran.  The Emperor of Stars, King of the Four Horsepeople of the Apocalypse.  Meaning Integrity.  From what I read about Aldebaran, they don’t mean Yangtegrity, they mean Yintegrity.  It’s not about keeping your Commitments to Other, it’s about Committing to the True Self.  Intense.  If you find yourself starting to Act to “Save Face,” stop yourself in mid-sentence and change course.

Above all, this is about Learning.  Look and Learn, Observe, eschew Judgment, eschew Conclusions.  Be Present and Loving with All of your Emotions, but don’t Identify with them.  Watch them, Embrace them, Feel them, don’t Be them.  Tap them Out if they’re Strong.  Be quick with your Cancel-Neutralize-Upgrades when you spot negative or compulsive thoughts.  

Sappho – Self-Love, recently Reborn, enters Scorpio on 27 November.  Scorpio is Relentless.  We’ll be extending Self-Love deeply into the Self, ferreting out any Obstacles to it, and taking no prisoners.  When you find an Obstacle to Self-Love, Avoid Judgment.  Self-Judgment is the antithesis of Self-Love.  Tender it a thousand Blessings, and Let It Go.  If you need to do that a hundred times before you’re able to Let Go of It, do it a hundred times.  Feel the Grief, the Regret, the Pain, but Let It Go.

Consequences of Another Intense Week

You can interpret a North Node Initiation two ways – on the one hand our Mission and Desires will Drive the way Orcus and Karma operate over the next half-Cycle.  On the other hand, the planets are now Descending, which is often seen as “negative” in the same way the Twelfth House or the Hanged Man are seen as negative.  In the sense that we’re likely to encounter Hassles that need to be Let Go of, it’s a Bummer.  

In the sense that we’re being given the Opportunity to Let Go and Move Beyond, it’s Liberating.  If we Choose Liberation.  The antidote to the “negative” elements of the Twelfth House (or for that matter Pisces) is Introversion and Meditation.  Similarly, in a half-Cycle Descending to the South Node, Letting Go of Goals and Expectations for success in our External Circumstances, and instead PIAVAing Survival and External Abundance, would behoove.  Substituting Goals and Expectations for success in our Internal Growth is likely to result in more satisfying outcomes.

In other words, we need to look at the Coin – Rudolph Steiner viewed Ascension and Descension as complementary and essentially equal parts of the interchange between Spirit and Matter.  It’s easy to view Spirit Descending into Matter as preferable to Spirit Ascending out of Matter – especially if we Fear “Death.”  The Coin is Movement, and since Energy without Movement is “just” Potential, we can see Movement itself as positive – as long as our Timing is right.  As Castaneda and the Seventh Harmonic advise, Potential can be used very Powerfully.

Let’s look at this “out loud,” and more explicitly…

• Neptune represents our Relationship to anything larger than ourSelf – Culture, Goddessheart, etc 
• Orcus is about Making Oaths, the resulting Limiting Beliefs, and Breaking them, enduring the resulting Guilt and Fear
• The Moon’s North Node symbolizes our Mission in the Lifetime, and our Deepest Desires, which Drive us toward our Mission
• The Moon’s South Node stands for our Held Emotions and Hidden Skills

Neptune will now be Ascending to the Moon’s North Node, while Orcus will be Descending toward the Moon’s South Node.

The Ascending phase is likely to favor success and prominence in the Outer World, while in the Descending phase we’re more likely to find satisfaction in the Inner World and Growth in Consciousness.  

So we can reasonably postulate that we’ve actually reached a Crisis Point in our Cultural and Religious (and Spiritual) Life (Neptune), and going forward these areas of our Life are likely to appear to improve.  I say appear not because it will be illusory per se, but because the improvement will reside in our Manifest Reality rather than in our Inner Truth.  The state of the World would certainly seem to reflect such a Healing Crisis.

Meanwhile, we’ve taken our Worldly fascination with Cults and Ideologies and Loyalties and all the other Either/Ors (Orcus) as far as it will go – as illustrated in the halls of would-be government as we speak, and it’s time to turn inward and Examine and Cull them.  In a Real Lifetime, as opposed to a Cartoon Lifetime, we Respond to each situation as appropriate in the Moment, not from some canned knee-jerk Archetype.

Wouldn’t it be great if this reading of the Stars had validity!  Of course we can all help to, as Captain Picard would say, Make It So.

Can we carry this a step further?  Last March, Chiron (Despair and Miracles) crossed the South Node and began Ascending relative to the Moon.  Can we say that last Spring we reached a Crisis Point in our tolerance for Despair, and going forward our willingness to risk abandoning the status quo and test new Perspectives have been characterizing Manifest Reality?  I believe that’s true; we could put both Bernie and The Donald in this folder, along with Brexit.

Let’s take it one step beyond.  Next Spring, the South Node will cross Nessus (Abuse and Privilege) and OR10 (Wailings from the Depths).  Will we have a Healing Crisis around Abuse and Privilege, accompanied by a sort of mass psychosis?  Considering how warped the status quo is, a mass psychosis from that Perspective might be very positive.  And a growing Transparency around Abuse and Privilege after that?  Sounds good to me.

A year or so later, the North Node will cross Varuna, and the Life Force will begin to Descend from our Sleeve to our Belly, as we move our Attention from exterior Ambitions to Inner Growth.  We could use that.

Nodal half-Cycles run about nine years long.  Can we see Neptune to have Descended and Orcus to have Ascended since 2007?  That’s when the collective “we” acquiesced to the Banksters’ version of “Reality,” that us deadbeats ripped them off and caused a “Housing Crisis.”  Have we been digesting our relationship to Culture since then while we saw our Either/Ors become more polarized?  Maybe so.

 

Dragons, Centaurs, and Kings Oh My

A note on format – the unindented bold italic text is meant for everyone.  The indented normal text is meant for anyone who’s interested in more detail, and specifically for folks who know some astrology and/or who want to learn astrology.  And…

We don’t follow this format exclusively, but it’s sort of a goal.

We’re about three hours from the Moon crossing the near Midpoint between Jupiter and the North Node (2am 18 PDT April), and twelve hours from the Moon crossing the far Midpoint between Chiron and the South Node (11am PDT 18 April).  The Moon has been, and will be, within one Degree of Sensitivity from this complex between about 6pm PDT 17 April till about 5pm PDT 18 April, and within three Degrees of Sensitivity from around noon PDT 17 April till around 9pm PDT 18 April.  It’d be a useful time to measure your own Sensitivity.

So…what’s this all about?

The Nodes are often referred to as “The Dragon,” the North Node as the Dragon’s Head and the South Node as the Dragon’s Tail.  A Centaur is a planetoid chasing an irregular orbit between Jupiter and Neptune – Chiron is a Centaur.  Like the half-human-half-horse Greek Centaurs, the cosmic Centaurs and half comet and half asteroid.  Jupiter was the King of the Roman Gods.

“Sensitivity” is like “slop” – we don’t wait till an astrological event is Exact, we start feeling it when it’s still some distance away – three Degrees if we’re pretty Sensitive, one Degree even if we’re a Muggle.  Of course it could be a matter of education – even a Muggle experiences the astroevents, they just aren’t Conscious of how their emotions, thoughts, circumstances, and actions are related to what’s going on in the sky.

Midpoints are just Sensitive points halfway between two planets or other Heavenly Bodies.

The Moon triggers things that are thinking about happening.  The North Node represents our Deepest Desires and Mission in the Lifetime, while Jupiter symbolizes Expansion.  One way to interpret the South Node is that it stands for our Limiting Beliefs, probably adopted from “Past Lives.”  Maybe from Childhood, but Childhood Traumas are usually hangovers from Past Lives.  Chiron is trickier.  It represents Despair or Discouragement, but it’s “curable” through Empathy.  Empathy Heals, and when we Empathize with ourself, Despair Dissolves.

The Nodes are called the “Dragon” because, like their name-sake, they can breathe fire, and occasionally get hungry and fly around torching villages for the fun of it.  They kind of represent what we’re scared to face – we shy away from our Deepest Desires (North Node) because we feel Guilty about them, and we shy away from our Limiting Beliefs (South Node) because we don’t want to have to re-Experience the heavy Emotions that surround them.

So this is a very potent combination – feeling (Healable) Despair about our Limiting Beliefs while Conscious of the pull of our Deepest Desires and our Mission on the Planet.  If we’re lucky or Skillful, we break through the Despair and leap toward our Deepest Desires and Mission.  Mind is smaller than Mission, so most of us aren’t actually able to comprehend exactly what our Mission here is, why we came here.  Our Deepest Desires are a snapshot of our Mission – by following our Bliss we move toward our Mission.

Most of us probably feel good about the idea of “Mission,” unless we think of it as an unnecessary burden.  And most of us feel some degree of Guilt or other Hesitation about our Deepest Desires, because we think they’re Selfish, or somebody told us they were naughty.  That Guilt or Hesitation is a Mirror of our Limiting Beliefs.  We have to break through that to get closer to our Mission and to our Heart’s Desire.  

So this weekend, with a little self-Empathy (Honesty with ourself about what’s really going on) we get an Opportunity to break through our Limitations and soar toward What We Want out of Life.  Huzzah!!

All this happens between 11 and 26 (three Degrees of Sensitivity) or 13 and 24 (one Degree of Sensitivity) Degrees of Virgo (Moon-North Node-Jupiter) and Pisces (South Node-Chiron), so we’re mostly talking about the second Decanate of Virgo-Pisces, or the Capricorn Decanate (Practicality) of Virgo (Transformation) and the Cancer (Nurturing) Decanate of Pisces (Embracing Unfinished Emotions).  Whatever natal planets you have in these Degrees, or in the same span of Sagittarius or Gemini, will be lit up big-time this weekend.

A Decanate is a ten-Degree section of a Sign.  So for instance, the first Decanate of Virgo (Transformation) is the Virgo Decanate (Ego Death) of Virgo, the second is the Capricorn Decanate, and the third is the Taurus (Solidifying) Decanate.  So the Virgo Transformation process involves

• Melting down the Ego we established in Leo (Ego Death, Virgo-Virgo),
• Coming to understand what we have to Let Go of if we are to find a new Balance (getting Practical about it, Virgo-Capricorn), and
• Settling into a new place of relative Stability (Virgo-Taurus) in order to prepare ourself to meet Other – Other People, and Not-Me in general – in Libra.  

We enter Virgo knowing Who We Are, and we leave Virgo knowing Who We Aren’t.

The Decanates follow the Qualities of each Sign – for instance, Virgo is an Earth Sign, so its three Decanades follow the three Earth Signs.  Pisces is a Water Sign, so its three Decanates chase Water around the Zodiac.

Evolutionary Threads and the Seven Dwarfs

If you look back over the last several centuries, you notice a strong correlation between the “Discovery” of a planet (astronomers “Discover” planets in the same sense that Columbus “Discovered” “America” – what is “Discovered” irrupts into the Consciousness of the “Discovering” Culture), it’s implied symbology, and trends in the Zeitgeist.  For instance, Uranus is associated with Lightning and Electricity because Electricity came into the Consciousness of Western European Culture (through Lightning) around the same time that Uranus was “Discovered.”  Similarly, the “Discovery” of Pluto coincided with the arousal of Nucular Energy.

Most of the new dwarf planets – Plutoids and Centaurs – have been “Discovered” since 1990.  Pluto has recently been the subject of a drive-by photo-shooting, but little is known of any of the others, beyond sketchy telescopic observation.  So it’s unknown whether all of these will eventually meet the criteria to be official dwarf planets.  The Plutoids (Ixion, Quaoar, Eris, Chaos, Makemake, Haumea) hang out in the same region as Pluto, while the Centaurs (Pholus, Chariklo, Hylonome) hang out between Jupiter and Neptune.  Sedna, being waaay out there, is in a class of its own.

Without the benefit yet of historical or herstorical Perspective, we Intuit the symbology of the new dwarves from two sources; from their names, and from the astrological charts of their “Discovery” dates.  While extrapolating from the name seems like building a house of cards, the “coincidences” are remarkable.  The asteroid Schadow crossing Pholus and Ixion, unbeknownst, on the day when we were writing that Ixion was a good representation for the psychological Shadow, is a good example.  We can legitimately consider a planet’s “Discovery” chart to be a birth chart for the planet’s impact upon us.

One of the best ways to verify how any planet impacts us, personally and collectively, is to observe what’s going on, in our Lives and Cultures, when the Moon (for instance) crosses the planet.  We recommend the Moon because it loops around the whole Zodiac every four weeks, giving us ample opportunity for study, and because it’s Sensitive.  It very often triggers much larger processes.

The planets in your natal chart will also have a strong – or stronger – influence on how we experience the Moon as it crosses the new dwarfs.  For instance, the Moon crosses Sedna on 28 October, but if Hylonome happens to be sitting there in your birth chart, what you’re going to Experience is Moon-Sedna triggering your Hylonome, rather than Moon triggering Sedna.  You’ll have to wait till Sedna moves on, or rely on the Experience of others, to discern the influence of Sedna.  Of course, if you know your Hylonome from previous Experience, you can get an idea of how Sedna impacts you by comparing your previous Hylonome Experience to the internal (Feelings and Dreams) and external (Events) circumstances of Moon-Sedna over Hylonome.  In this case the influence of the Moon would be mostly that of a magnifying glass.

Thus introduced, let’s map out the next month’s dwarf crossings by the Moon.  For comparison, we’ll include all of the planets.  We’ll give a date, time, and Zodiacal location for the Moon’s crossing for each planet.  The impact should be greatest at and before the given time.  Consider the crossing to be active for about twelve hours, six hours on either side of the time given.  The impact is likely to be greater in the six hours prior to the time, and the maximum impact is likely to occur sometime near the time given.  Since their are other factors that we aren’t considering, the times are approximate.  The Zodiacal locations are included so you can map them onto your own birth chart if you want.  Remember to round up: eg, 21:13 of Sagittarius is considered the 22nd Degree, or 22 Sagittarius.

Since I and several others noticed that the Energy was unusual today, that’s where we’ll start.  To convert the times to your own time zone, you can use http://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/ or http://www.jbuss.com/tt/pdtXX.htm and http://www.jbuss.com/tt/pstXX.htm, replacing XX with any number from 0 to 23; 0 for 12 am, 1 for 1am, 13 for 1pm, 23 for 11pm, etc…

• 17 October:
  • 8pm PDT – Ixion (22 Sagittarius)
  • 10pm PDT – Pholus (24 Sagittarius)
  • With these two so close together, you may not be able to pick out separate impacts for Ixion and Pholus; you’re experiencing Ixion-Pholus together.  Ixion would be a little stronger before 8pm, and Pholus a little stronger 8-10pm.  The weirdness here had diminished by 8pm.
• 18 October:
  • 5am PDT – Pallas and Quaoar (26-27 Sagittarius)
  • 9am PDT – Chariklo and Hylonome (29 Sagittarius)
  • Note that Pallas-Quaoar’s 12-hour span lasts till 11am, while Chariklo-Hylonome’s 12-hour window starts at 3am, so there’s overlap between 3 and 11am.  We could easily consider this to be one astroevent, peaking sometime between 5 and 9am.  Since the impact of an astroevent is usually more prominent in the six hours prior to the event than in the six hours following the event, we could also expect to tune into Pallas-Quaoar more during 3-5am, and Chariklo-Hylonome more during 7-9am.

Keep this calendar handy for the next month, and when you notice anything unusual – strange Dreams, unique Feelings, Events out of place or time, check the calendar to see if anything rings any bells.  You can also flag the days in pink, and be mindful to watch for the unusual.  These are the Evolutionary Threads that will govern the 21st Century (along with the major elements of the 1/1/2000 chart, which we’ll re-examine soon).  

Consciousness does not Expand through Discovery, it Expands through Differentiation – we Discern that the Forest we saw earlier is actually made up of unique individual Trees, or that the Trees we’ve been looking at are actually part of a Forest.  Or that Foreigners are actually Hupers, or that the only folks who gain from War are the owners of the manufacturers that make the killing machines.
