Confusion and Stelliums

Wikipedia says either (or ether) Stelliums or Stellia works as a plural for Stellium, which means a group of three or more planets in Conjunction, or Merged.

Interpreting Conjunctions

And that’s the whole “problem” with Stellia – some things (like maybe rhythm) Merge while others (like, say, language) don’t, and everything gets complicated. It actually the same “problem” with Conjunctions, so let’s start there. Suppose we had a natal Conjunction between dwarf planet Sedna (Converting Fear to Power) and asteroid Kassandra (Credibility). Fear and Credibility would be Merged. While most people would be able to tell the Difference between Fear and Disbelief, we wouldn’t be able to. When our Body Encounters Fear we might Disbelieve it and Dismiss it, then Stumble into Untoward Circumstances naively. When People don’t seem to understand what we’re saying, we might Experience that in our Body as Fear.

To most Other People, Fear and Disbelief are different things, and Experiencing them would Trigger different circuits in their Brains. Fear would likely Inspire folks to Seek Safety, and Disbelief might make them try harder to Explain, or Ask more Questions. We’d just be in Fight or Flight, and focusing on an Escape Route. That sort of Merging gets Complex, because being Unable to Communicate can Trigger Ancient Karmic Fear of Banishment and Abandonment from when we were Tribal and completely Dependent upon our Community. Not that this isn’t true of Today’s World, but when the Present Moment reinforces Karmic Fear, it strikes us at a Deeper Level.

Yes, we know that if we’ve Experienced it Before, it’s Karmic and therefore not Present Moment, but when Deep Karma hits we may not have enough of us “home” to Notice – all of our Bandwidth may be tied up in Survival Anxiety. Like any Repetitive Pattern in anyone’s Life, especially Self-Sabotaging Patterns, our first Task is to Find a way to Notice when the Pattern is Triggered. We could Ask ourself, The Last Time that Happened, What Was My Experience Just Before that Pattern Occurred?

When we first start to Work with Negative Karma, the Repetition of the Karma will Overwhelm our Consciousness, and we’ll Regress to the last time, or the worst time, or the first time in the Current Lifetime, or to a Previous Lifetime, and our Attention will likely be Hijacked by the Karma. Greek Tragedies specialize in this Process, and seldom move beyond it, even though I’m sure their Purpose was to bring the Pattern into Consciousness. So we can also Ask ourself, How Old Did I Feel when that Occurred? If you don’t get an Easy Answer to that, Ask yourself, What If I Did Know?

The “First Rule” for Working with Karma of any sort is Safety First. If there’s Any Question about Safety, make Safety your first Priority. When we try to Manifest anything, the first thing we’re going to Manifest is More of the Same. Even if your natural Reaction is Curiosity because you Disbelief your Fear or misinterpret it as Excitement (Fear + Breathing = Excitement after all), and you’re Conscious that you’re Working on Sedna-Kassandra Karma, Ask yourself, What Would I Do If This Was Real Fear? and Follow Up by Making Yourself Safe. Otherwise, by trying to Work while Unsafe or In Doubt, you’ll just add Grout to that Karmic Limitation.

Once we’re starting to Notice when the Pattern Recurs, we can move to Step Two. We tend to Blame ourself and otherwise Feel Badly about Repeating the Pattern, but again, that’s just a Vicious Circle that regrouts the Karmic Wall. Instead of Negatively Reinforcing ourself over the Pattern, we want to Congratulate ourself for Noticing. That begins to set up a Virtuous Spiral instead, and each time you do that, you chip off some of the Karma, and it Weakens.

If the Karma Regresses you to 5 years old, you’ll have Forgotten everything you’ve Learned since you were 5. That can seem like a huge chasm, between 5 and Now. But once the Virtuous Spiral begins, you’ll be Amazed at how Quickly you Recover, because thanks to Congratulating Yourself for Noticing, your Present Moment Self is there to guide your 5-year-old forward. Treat your Inner Children with the utmost Gentleness and Care, and you’ll accelerate the Process even more. With this Process you can Eliminate a Lifetime Karmic Curse within a few weeks.

Interpreting Stelliums

Now let’s see what happens when a Conjunction like Kassandra-Sedna turns into a Stellium. Suppose your natal Kassandra-Sedna is Conjoined by (ie, Merged with) asteroid Magdalena. You might want to read some of the Stories about Mary Magdalene. You might discover how the Romans treated her, and how the Popes made her into a Demon like Lilith or Joan d’Arc, in order to Reinforce two Pillars of the Patriarchy – the Supremacy of the Male, and the Taboo on Relying on One’s Own Authority. You might even Discover that you are, in fact, a Reincarnation of Mary Magdalene.

Or, you could read about how Mary Magdalene was Christ’s most Accomplished Apostle, but had to do it all backwards and in high heels, so no one would notice that a Female was Excelling. And how she moved to the South of France after Jesus left town, and started a Movement. In an undergraduate history class, I was told in all seriousness that the Popes were Compelled to Eliminate these Albigensians or Cathars because they Refused to Procreate. The Popes evidently couldn’t wait till they died out on their own.

Could that be? If you Experience the Feeling of that, then you Are that. Forget Validation – Life is All Metaphor anyway. Our 2D brains, self-congratulatory as they are, simply don’t have enough Bandwidth to Grok the Mysteries of Many-Dimensional and Unitary Reality. The 2D Mind Specializes in Separation. It Struggles to Grok anything that’s Unitary. Unitary is not two things Combined, it’s two things Merged. They were never Separate, except in the Separative 2D Either/Or Mind of the Observer. As Lightworkers, we were Relaxing in the Lightworker’s Lounge in Paradise reading the Guardian, when we got a little Bored, and Decided we’d Take on some Earth Karma, and go down there and Help Heal it. So we spent time in the Lightworker Lounge’s Simulator, Allowing it to Hypnotize us into Believing that we Carried Mary Magdalene’s Karma. Then the Simulator triggers its Neuralyzer…

And then the Trap Door Opens, and we’re dropped into a Well-Prepared Waiting Womb. Our Programming begins immediately, via our Gestating Mother’s Emotions and the Chemical Soup they Create, which we Live In for nine months. Then we Hatch and begin to Live our Lightworker Life on Earth with the Mission of Helping to Heal Mary Magdalene’s Traumas. Our Programmers have been Carefully Chosen to Prepare us for our Mission, which is an Important Part of the Demise of the Age of the Patriarchy and the Birth of what Genia Haddon refers to as the Era of the Yang Female.

Eventually we become Conscious of our Life Missions (we may have many), and, once we Learn that the Universe is not Either/Or like the Mind but Both/And like Nature, we Realize that what we Previously Experienced as Bummers were actually an Amazing SuperPower. Eventually we’ll probably Meet Others who Share our Mission. They’ll Feel Like Soulmates at first because for once we’ll Understand each other till we Realize that, like us, this Mission is only one of our Many Missions.

A Monopoly-like Game called The Transformation Game was Created by several people at Findhorn, and included piles of small cards like the “Get Out of Jail Free” and “Chance” cards. It’s been decades since I played the Game, but I’ll always remember one of those cards. It said, The hardest Tasks are only Given to the Best People. It was very eye-opening for me.

This is how we Interpret Stellia. We Empathize ourself into the “Native” (the person whose astrological “Nativity” is being Read) or the blog reader, and make up Stories using the relevant planets, Signs, Configurations, etc as Seeds. If our Intuition hits home, the Native or Reader will Respond, and you can go from there. It doesn’t matter if the Story is Literally True. What Matters is whether or not the Native or Reader Connects to the Story. As an astrologer on a Free-Will Planet you have no business telling anyone else How the Universe Works. Your job is to Trigger the Native’s or Reader’s Own Hidden Knowledge of How Their Universe works. So you start your Story slowly, with lots of Questions about whether or not it Resonates for them. If it doesn’t Resonate, you Choose another Story. The Universe of Stories is Literally Unlimited.

Santa’s Elf

I know we don’t all Believe in Christmas, but we all Believe in Santa Claus, Right? We’re mixing our Metaphors a little here, Confusing Solstice with Christmas, but we won’t be the first by any means. Confusion is the First Stage of Growth after all. We interpret asteroid Artesian as a Powerful Aid to Manifestation, so we can think of Artesian as Santa’s Elf. The Unconscious operates by Association rather than Cause An Defect, so already having an Astrologic License, we don’t need a Poetic License.

In Carl Jung’s thinking, Cause an Defect is to Logic, as Association is to the Rest of Life. In those terms, there isn’t really much covered by Cause an Defect, is there. Kind of shows us how far off the Mark Western Civilization is, with it’s Denial of Intuition and Nature and Magic. Magic just means we don’t know How it will occur. The Capricorn Solstice, as the New Year in the Perennial Wisdom, is the primary Initiatory event for the coming Year, and the chart for the Solstice at 0 Degrees is the same chart as the chart for the Station of Artesian at 29 Degrees. Almost.

The Solstice occurs with Artesian Stationary, so we can certainly say that 2023 will be an Artesian Year, a year for Amplifed Manifestation. But Artesian isn’t quite done with Leo yet – it turns Retrograde on the Cusp of Virgo, so by the time the Sun enters Capricorn a day later, Artesian is moving the other way. It hasn’t moved far, only 12 arcseconds, three thousandths of one Degree or nine millionths of the Zodiac. Nevertheless, it’s a Near Miss. Artesian doesn’t turn Direct again till April, and it doesn’t get back to the Cusp of Virgo till mid-year.

It means that if we’re Disappointed during 2023 by a False Alarm or an Almost-Manifestation, we want to Focus Deeply on our Disappointment for about twelve seconds, just so we don’t Stuff the Experience of the Feeling, before we Get Excited and start Celebrating what we’re about to Manifest. After a thousand steps Forward, don’t let two steps Backward get you down. Our Compass was just a little off those last few steps, and we were about to hurt our shoulder on the doorjamb. Two steps back to get it just right is exactly what we’re here for!

One of the biggest Obstacles to our Manifestation is that we get too Focused on our Expectations. When we’re trying to Manifest something we’ve never Manifested before, we actually have no idea what it’ll really Look like when we see it. We could Look right at it and walk on by. We can’t help but have a Mental Image of What We Want, but we have to strip that Image naked and beyond, to get to How It Feels. When we’re Open to How It Feels, we’ll Recognize it immediately. How it Looks is 2D, a black and white snapshot. How It Feels is nD, aka Real Life.

We can see that Clearly in the Salacia Station chart that we covered in the previous two posts. Asteroid Ganesa, Remover of Obstacles, is in the Salacia Grand Cross, Debating with (Opposite) our Karma, in particular our Karma about Global Warming et al (Pholus-Quaoar). Remember that Pootin’s War has become a symbol for Global Warming et al, including Demise of the Patriarchy, Collapse of the Planet-Destroying aspects of Western Civilization, etc. etc. So that comes down to the Choice between Focusing on our Expectations (Karma) or on Allowing Obstacles to What We Want to Be Removed (Ganesa).

The other Opposition in the Salacia Grand Cross was between Salacia and Kassandra, as we mentioned in our Forgotum. Salacia symbolizing our Commitment to Ascension and Kassandra our Not Quite Fully Believing our own Commitment, that is, the Unconscious Karma that makes Obstacles to our Commitment. As Bob says, “Somewhere in that Quantum Field is a wide open Gate, but it is a Feeling, not the analysis of the extraordinarily complicated fine print in the contract we signed prior to incarnation as Lightworkers in this lifetime! We just have to capture it and hold on to it like grim death!” [or like Ecstasy!]

An Artesian Spring is one that has enough natural Pressure that it Bubbles up on its own, without being pumped. Shamans sometimes do their Magic by Sucking out a Malady and then Blowing In a New Dream or Trance to replace it. Shamans need enough Power that they don’t Take On the Malady as they Spit it Out. We can use an Artesian Spring in the same fashion – Imagine the Spring Bubbling into the Malady, rinsing it out, and then Bubbling in a Whole New Trance, carried on Pure Water straight from Mother Goddess Earth.

Try it. It Works. We don’t even need to Worry about having enough Power to Reject the Malady, we can Trust Mother Earth to Compost it. And we don’t need to Name the Unconscious Obstacles to our Commitment. We just need to let Artesian Bubble them Out and rinse them away, and let Artesian Bubble in that Feeling that we have about What We Want. For instance, if we can’t help but Want Everyone Else to Ascend First, we could Bubble Out that Expectation and Bubble In the Recognition that We Came Here to Lead the Charge through Our Example.

The 19 December Salacia Station and 20 December Artesian Station¹ are only a day apart. If we were doing a chart for “someone,” say, Baby Solstice aka Miss 2023, born on 21 December,² we’d definitely include both of those Stations in the chart. And obviously the two other planets that are slowing down to Station on the 24th, Thereus³ (Relentless Teacher) and Sappho⁴ (Unconditional Self-Love), they’d be important parts of the chart too. And we’d want to consider the impending 23 December Moon-Sun Conjunction.⁵ These Energies would all be Merged into the Entity which will be born as 2023.

The Landings

As Pogo might have said, We have Sighted The Landings, and It Is Us. The astrology is Abundantly Clear, and our most-trusted Channels are Agreeing – our Descent isn’t far from crossing a Threshold of No Return. Descent? Yes, Uranus in Taurus, Descent of Soul into Matter, often referred to as Ascension because in our 2D Minds Up is better than Down. In a Gravity-Dominated 3D World, Up is always Off-Planet. I Imagine that most everyone reading this has at least a fair amount of Experience with Disincarnate Guides, Teachers, Angels, Saints, Souls, Sidhe, Ancestors, Cosmic Travelers, and many other Entities, that seem to follow a different Geography than ours.

When we Connect with them we seem to be able to do it from anywhere, and from our 3D Perspective it’s as if they Float around in the Sky somewhere and travel without Friction. You eventually have to Ask, Is Consciousness Vertical, Horizontal, Oblique, or Purple? to see how “Provincial” 3D Perspective is. If Consciousness is Diagonal, what does “Up” mean? When we Soul-Identify rather than Ego-Identifying, Geometry Changes. “In The Reaches, the Rules are Different,” as Ursula Le Guin put it. Even the term Consciousness Expansion reflects our Old Geometry. In many ways Enlightenment is Consciousness Compression – your Guidance comes from Within. When Within turns out to be Limitless, is that Expansion, or Compression? Many of our Old Value Judgments become suspect in The Reaches.

We’ve discovered that the Chandra Symbols in Ellias Lonsdale’s 360 Degrees of Your Star Destiny seem to fit very well when we Identify with our Soul, and less well in areas where we still Identify with our Ego. Not that you want to trust some book over your own Instincts, but it would be well worth the trouble to get hold of a copy of this book, read the Symbols for your Important natal positions, and where they don’t Ring Bells for you, Ask Yourself Is there is any Information in this Reading that I might be Overlooking, in Denial about, or that I could otherwise use to Expand my Self-Awareness?

If I use this Language to Describe my Life, Does or Could it Increase My Self-Love? Unconditional Self-Love is one Description of Enlightenment, so if a Reading would Reduce our Self-Love, by all means Reject that Interpretation of the Reading, and PIAVA whether we could be Misinterpreting it? Would Mom and our third-grade Teacher Agree? It could be our Programming that’s Interpreting it, not our True Self. If so, that’s a Huge Opportunity to Shake Loose more Karma and bring more of our Identity into the Realm of Soul and 5D.

In Greek History, Kassandra was an Oracle who, though Foresightful in her Prognostications, was Condemned to always be Disbelieved. “You don’t need to know what to fight against, who the bad ones are, and who needs to be locked up. You don’t need to know any of that to do the good that you are there to do. You don’t need to know what secret wars are happening in outer space or there on Earth. You don’t need to be a part of that divisiveness, but if you are made aware of a reality where something is going on, some sort of conflict, some war between various factions, then you send love to everyone involved instead of picking up your sword and joining the fight.

“This is how you raise the level of consciousness there on Earth, and this is how you ascend. And we know that you want to be a part of the solution, and for so many of you who are awake, we know that you already are. Some of you are lagging behind a bit and still are caught up in the idea of darkness versus light, but you are getting there. “Esoteric power is a bit of an oxymoron, because ‘power’ is a concept of the ego, and the real esoteric juice is from the Spirit. By the way, until you’ve done enough inner work (ego taming) to be really familiar with the fact that you are not your ego, this discussion will make no sense at all. If that’s the case, I invite you to revisit this topic a little later in your journey.

“Our symbol here will be a clear drinking glass. When you are born, it is filled with mostly clear water (representing spirit), and topped off with a layer of oil (representing ego). As you develop through age 14 (or as long as 21), the glass exchanges water for oil (due to programming and conditioning), until it’s about 50-50, half spirit half ego. As an adult you choose to either add more water, add more oil, or just go with what you have at that point. Most people just go with what they have, because changing what’s in the glass takes applied awareness. Keep in mind, the glass only holds 100%, so to add more spirit, you must reduce the amount of ego. You can’t expand the glass.

“True power (for lack of a better term) comes from the spirit. The pure, clear water in our analogy is pure energy from source. The more you can remove the ego, the more spirit you can hold. The ideal situation is to return to the state you were born in, with only a thin film of ego on top of this clear water of spirit. It isn’t that the ego is bad in any way, only that it is, by its very nature, limiting. You need an ego to direct personal will, but if there is too much, it limits the amount and flow of spirit.

“Another important layer of this analogy is the substances. If you spill water, it just leaves a clean spot when you wipe it up; if you spill oil, it can take a long time to clean. You can easily see through clear water, but looking through oil is extremely distorting, or even impossible. The list goes on. The ego is a necessary part of living in this world, but true potential lives in the spirit.”

We’re getting close to the end our current Portal, the 8:21 am PDT 19 July 2022 Adventure in Healing the Unhealable.² The Template for this Energy is the Greek Centaur Chiron, an Immortal that was wounded by a poison spear thrown by another Centaur, after Zeus’s hit man Hercules Triggered a violent Frenzy among the Centaurs. His pain from the Wound was so great and persistent that he Pleaded with the Gods to Let him Surrender his Immortality. They did, and he became a Constellation in the Sky. Much later, a dwarf planet was named after him. As Eugene Gendlin pointed out in his PhD dissertation, the Unhealable is Healed by Empathy. As usual, we recommend Poor-Sweethearting.

¹ Asteroid Kassandra is Merged with the Sun (Essence) and Square to Eris in the chart of the 21 July 2022 Eris Station. The Square is part of a Grand Cross, so it’s not much of a Challenge, but it lends an Intriguing Angle to our Assessments of our Amplified Revelation of What’s Been Denied. Either these folks have good astrologers, or they’re in tune with the Universe. In this case it’s probably the latter, because while the Global Need for Feminine Power is Overwhelming and Intuitively Obvious, the current-moment Emphasis, at least according to the astrofilter we use here,¹ is astrologically very obtuse.²

I wouldn’t hesitate to register if you’re Male in any sense of the word (there are many these days). From the Planet’s perspective, Males actually Need to get in touch with their Feminine Power more than Women do. I don’t know how Open Dr. Zammit would be to this idea though, so please keep a low profile. You’d be there to Learn, not to Compete or Argue or Expound.

¹ We focus primarily on the usually-week-long Exaggeration of the impact of the planets when they Stand Still in the Sky, when they’re said to be Stationary, or having a Station. To catch the planet actually doing this, you need to take a snapshot at the same time every night, to cancel out the rotation of the Earth. As we all take our laps around the Sun, the Faster among the planets constantly pass the Slower, and when they do, one appears from the other to Stand Still for a moment. The Slower have the more Powerful Impact upon us, as we have less Experience with them.

Aha, I haven’t mapped out the Ixion Station chart yet, but now that I look I see that Venus will be joining the Cuspal Dance, along with Cupido, Aphrodite, Eurydike, Kassandra, and Mars. Kassandra’s Presence is particularly interesting, as she was cursed to be Psychic but constantly Ignored, because of failing to be sufficiently Codependent to a Male God, namely refusing the sexual advances of Apollo. Remember though that Greek Tragedy is misunderstood to be Fatalistic, without any Exits. But Awareness can “Cure” Fate because we gain Choice, and Empathy Heals the Unhealable, so Consciousness and Poor-Sweethearts can go a long way.

Ego Edges

We’re still trying to satisfy two Goals with one Blog – describing what’s going on on the Planet while gradually teaching astrology, since anything you Learn about astrology will greatly deepen your Experience of Life on Earth and your Adeptness with it. In this post, read through it first while Suspending Disbelief and ignoring the footnotes. Then go back and reread the whole post, exploring the footnotes as you go. Even if you have no interest in Learning anything about astrology, there is much to gain by simply skimming the footnotes to see if anything catches your eye. Skimming may not get us a PhD, but when we’ve skimmed the same or similar material many times, a lot more has sunk in than we Realize.

One of the greatest Toxins that we Encounter is Certainty. My training as a Psychic was rudimentary. I had fabulous Teachers, I just didn’t pursue it very far because there were too many other Threads going on at the time, but one of the first things I learned was that an easy way to access our Intuition is to Ask ourself, What If I Did Know?

It’s a great technique, and it almost always serves us, but without additional Discernment Skills, it serves our Heart’s Truth, not necessarily the Etheric Truth, and not necessarily Someone Else’s Heart’s Truth. Our Heart’s Truth is a Reliable Guide for Avoiding Self-Sabotage, but it doesn’t Clear our Limitations. Of course, for most everyone reading this, your Heart’s Truth will include a Life Mission of Clearing your Limitations, but that can’t help but compete with other, more trivial matters, such as Survival, or Getting Bald and High…

We’ve just been through a couple of weeks of Fear and Anger,¹ and we’re already diving into another week that isn’t per se about Fear and Anger, but is by its nature heavily encumbered with Fear and Anger.² We’ll talk more about this Forbidden Genius of ours soon, but I want to introduce Them through a prominent (though subtle) feature of the 22 August Full Moon…³

Our Thoughts about our Emotions are Mental Gibberish serving only to prop up our Old Ego, Prevent Rebirth, and Maintain our Karmic Limitations. Emotion Itself on the other hand, is the Portal to our Sacred Intuition, to our Future, and potentially to our Liberation from Karmic Limitation (if we have the Fortitude to tackle our Thoughts about the Emotions that We’d Rather Die Than Feel ).

If we can Learn this Discernment^1a in this Lifetime, it will be the Pinnacle of Cosmic Success that will Change our Karma forever. Our fellow Gronabixoleans won’t recognize us when we return to our Home Galaxy. Discerning our Emotions (Pisces) from our Thoughts about them (Aquarius) is the Central Lesson of the Pisces-Aquarius Cusp, and if we don’t Learn it here we could be Stuck in Piscean Victimhood for possibly another 25 thousand years, till the next Progressed Pisces-Aquarius Cusp rolls around. Won’t that be Fun. Thank the Goddess that Linear Time is an Illusion.

^1a We also have to Learn that Emotions aren’t Ours or Theirs, any more than the Weather is. Emotions are Independent Energies that Visit us, and can Attach to our Egos like Leeches and Suck Away our Life Force. But they also Serve us as a Portal to our Sacred Intuition. We Feel and Dismiss them in a flash, till we get Stuck on Our Thoughts about Them. If we make Decisions based on our Thoughts about Them, we Create sticky new Karma that can follow us around the Multiverse like a hungry Coyote, just Out of Sight. Remember our first sentence? When we’re in a Life-and-Death Struggle, Certainty is the Order of the Day. We’re Certain that the Oxymoronavirus will kill us if we Let It. Or Wait! No, the Vaccine will Certainly Kill us! Meanwhile, Global Warming is Killing us, drowning some of us while we sleep. The Emperor has no Clouds. What is it that the Howlers Fear Most? Loss of Freedom, all seem to say.

Freedom to continue Life As It Was Known. Freedom to Blame the Threat to Survival on Viruses, Vaccines, Abortions, Masks, Political Opponents, anything which will Focus Attention on those Thoughts about the Fear that Life will Change drastically, because if the Caterwauling is loud enough, Influencing the Outcome of those Issues may be Possible. Won’t it be a shock when it’s discovered that Stopping Abortions and Vaccines and Viruses and Political Opponents doesn’t Stop Floods and Wildfires and Freezeouts. Won’t it be a shock when parents who risked their Children’s Lives sending them back to School discover that the Schooling that the Surviving kids received is worthless because it was only Relevant to Destroying the Earth.

In any four-cornered astrological Configuration, the Diagonals between the corners provide useful information. In this Death-Rebirth Configuration the Diagonals are Oppositions, usually signifying that two Concepts are Arguing, or if we aren’t in Resistance, that they’re willing to Cooperate.

The Rebirth corner Dances with the Integration of Feminine Power corner.⁸ If we’re indeed on the Cusp of Letting the Patriarchy Burn Itself Out, this will be a Delightful Dance. If we’re Terrified that our Investments in the Patriarchy are Bankrupt, then we’re likely to be Screaming into our Zoom Meetings that it’s Imperative to Bring Back Business-As-Usual, because that’s More Important (to them) than how many people are Dying.

The Death corner Dances with Self-Confidence and Self-Doubt.⁹ If we’re Confident we’re on our Path, then we’ll Embrace the Ego Death. If we’re in Self-Doubt, our Fear of Death will probably be Lit Up, and we might even be contemplating Physical Death.

But it’s not that simple. If we look closely we can see that both of these Oppositions are Mystery Schools.¹⁰ In a Mystery School we Learn something completely Surprising and Unexpected from the Dance, something that’s not accessible to the two-dimensional mind. If we’re Open to it, that is, and if we Avoid trying to “Figure It Out.” The Insights available are not accessible by the Mind, as they’re more multidimensional that the Mind is able to Grok. We have to be Mindful of the Presence of Thinking, Thank it and Bless It, and Open our Intuition instead.

There is something Profound to Learn, available to us over the coming week, about the Relationship between (Ego) Death and Confidence or Doubt, and something Profound for us to Learn about the Relationship between our Rebirth and our Integration of Feminine Power. Astrology does give hints about where to look for these Insights.¹¹ Death and Confidence-Doubt are somehow tied up in this Adventure with Being More Open to Embracing our Hidden Genius and Acknowledging How We Were Punished For It in our Youth. Rebirth and Feminine Power are somehow bound up in this Workshop with Acknowledging our Guilt and Tapping It Out.

Its corners are Karma, Nemesis [Guilt], the Fixed Star Scheat [Creative Freedom from Conventional Thinking], and Sedna.

It connects Ixion et al, Moon-Jupiter [Expanding our Instincts], Chaos-Asbolus [Intuitive Insight into our Unlimited Potential], and Sun-Thereus [The Places in our Essence where we’re Willing to Wrestle with Bears].

For Rebirth-Feminine Power they’re the Karma-Scheat and Nemesis-Sedna Oppositions, Klotho-Haumea’s Quincunxes to Scheat and to Sedna, and Mirach-Al Rescha’s Quincunxes to Nemesis and Karma. Quincunxes are 5-Sign Angles, drawn in green lines.

For Death-Confidence they’re Chaos-Asbolus’s Opposition to Ixion-Pholus-GC, the Sun-Thereus Opposition to Moon-Jupiter, Chariklo’s Quincunxes to Chaos-Asbolus and Sun-Thereus, and Requiem-Cyllarus’s Quincunxes to Jupiter-Moon and Ixion-Pholus-GC.

These many Relationships are for Meditation, not Analysis – that’s 12 Meditations. If you’re up for that, more Power to you! Remember that Quincunxes represent Questions, not Answers or Statements. And Remember that in a Yin Gate, Oppositions will not be Arguments or Collaborations, but Paradoxes, like Zen Koans. What’s the Sound of One Bear Wrestling while Expanding? might be an example (Thereus Opposite Jupiter). The Insights in these Gordian Knots will be Personal, not Global. If you have any natal planets on Cusps, the Rewards from this Exploration may be Immense.

Karmetypes

We wrote this as part of a client’s Solar Return reading, but, liking it, we’ll generalize and anonymize it, and repeat it here…

The central themes revolve around two Questions…

• I wonder what I’m scared of?
• I wonder what I should Do about this?

We want to carefully avoid seeking Answers to the Questions; we want to let the Questions hang in mid-air for a minute, then Change the Subject.  They aren’t Questions meant for the mind, but meant as prompts for the Intuition, which won’t Answer them until the mind gets out of the way.  We can Ask the Questions anytime, whether we’re scared or not, and whether we’re wondering what to Do or not.

There is likely to be a goodly amount of Unconscious material coming up for us this year, and it could be very Confusing.  These questions may help organize the material in productive ways.  The bottom line is that we’ll be using this emerging material to Intuit the sources of Unconscious Beliefs that constrict our Vision of the Future, and when we recognize that the sources are not Present Moment and Let Go of these Limiting Beliefs, we’ll Rocket ahead surprisingly quickly.

The downside would be to either continue to Believe that the sources of the Fears and Beliefs are Present Moment, or to get lost in the Emotional turmoil of the non-Present-Moment Dramas that created the sources, which probably revolve around unearned and abusive Privilege.  There is actually Power in getting lost in these Emotions, but only for a few minutes, and only if we can do it with one hand firmly gripping the Present Moment, so we can step back out of the Drama.

Once we step out of the Drama, we can be Compassionate with the people who were trapped inside it.  We may find ourselves temporarily Identifying with the person or people who enjoyed Privilege, Identifying with remorse about the abuse perpetrated by those who enjoyed Privilege, or Merging with the person or people who were exploited by those who enjoyed Privilege – or Identifying with all three!  Regardless of our Identification, though, none of those people were Us.

We Live in the Present Moment, and those Dramas were not in the Present Moment.   Since those Dramas have long since run their course, we don’t have the Power to Change them.  They may be accompanied by Feelings of Hopelessness and Powerlessness.  We do however have the Power to Change the Present-Moment Unconscious Beliefs that may be somehow connected to those Dramas.

There are certainly parallel Dramas being enacted in the Present Moment, but, once Liberated from those Unconscious Beliefs about Hopelessness and Powerlessness, we will see that we Do have the Power to shift any Present-Moment Drama that we may be involved in – and we’ll be blown away by the extent of that Power.

If we’ve suffered under Unconscious Beliefs about Powerlessness, we’ll be initially scared of Power, and clumsy with it.  Don’t judge yourself for these Fears and lack of Practice; they’re to be expected.  We’ll be very surprised at how quickly we develop Skill and Confidence with Power, especially this year, when our Power to Manifest what we Want is greatly enhanced.

• I wonder what I’m scared of?
• I wonder what I should Do about this?

If we can continue to Ask these Questions, and continue to eschew the temptation to let the mind try to Answer them, then our Intuition will Guide us Effortlessly.  At times it will feel like we’re “stumbling into” situations of Grace, because our Intuition will be out there ahead of us, clearing a path for our Instinctual Action.

Remember, we are not from here; we came here to help Heal the Planet, and we each Chose a Limiting Belief to work on.  As Souls we voluntarily entered a simulator where we were programmed to Believe that the Unconscious memories and Oaths embedded in the Limiting Beliefs, were our memories and Oaths.  They aren’t.

They aren’t anyone’s.  They have no more Individuality than a Cat pouncing on a Mouse.  They are historical artifacts, Archetypes that are completely impersonal.  In their historical Time they were useful Habits, adopted by many and used to their advantage.  With enough “reps,” they became an Energy Field in their own right.  Habits are such that once Created, they don’t die a natural death when their utility is spent, they become Archetypes instead.

It is up to outsiders like us to immerse ourselves in these Energy Fields, Witness them Compassionately, Empathize with the Souls who have been their captives (including us, temporarily), and then Let Them Go.  It’s like encountering a Ghost, someone caught between Life and their next Adventure without the means to move on.  We grant the Ghost Permission to be done with it and move on; till they met us they did not know that moving on was possible, so Permission is all it takes.

These Archetypes of Privilege and Abuse that we’re dealing with, are literally Ghosts, completely impersonal Ghosts.  Without Volition, they do not know that it is possible to reformulate and move on, to reorganize their Energy into new Habits that are relevant and useful to the Present World.  They can be reformulated into Energy Fields of Equality and Collaboration, so badly needed on this Planet at this time.

It is our role as Energy Workers to set this Reformulation in motion, to bring the Unconscious Beliefs into Consciousness where we can Disidentify with them, Appreciate them for their Value to their own history, Honor ourselves for our Willingness to be swallowed by them so we could poke holes in them to Allow ourselves to Breathe, and move their Energy forward into constructive Patterns.

It is as though we stand facing a threatening Windstorm, full of Privilege and Abuse.  We reach up and grab a Gust of Wind in both hands.  Holding it, we turn around and massage it like a snowball, turning it over and over while Breathing into it our Sacred Intentions of Equality and Community and Collaboration.  Then we throw it forward, where it rejoins the Wind but forever Changed.  Looking around, we see that there are thousands of us, catching and Transforming and throwing, till the entire Storm Breathes Equality and Community and Collaboration and Renewal into the Landscape.

Here at the First-Quarter Moon we’re still under the spell of our Seven-Rayed New Moon Fairy Star Grand Septile.  Six of the points remain…

• The Centaur Asbolus (Intuition)
• Uranus (Yintegrity)
• The Sun (Essence)
• The Centaur Hylonome (Disidentifying with a Archetype and Mourning its Loss)
• Asteroid Juno (the Edges of Consciousness)
• Jupiter-North Node (Expanding into our Mission and Deepest Desires)

In a word, a Grand Septile means that Magic Is Afoot.

We also still have a Grand Cross, implying that Motivation and Energy are available.  The Grand Cross joins the Fairy Star at the Jupiter-North Node Ray.  The other three corners are…

• The dwarf planet Chaos (meaning Unlimited Potential, not Disorder)
• Chiron-South Node (the Opportunity to get hung up in our Olde Bummers, and the Opportunity to Let them Go)
• The asteroid Lachesis (one of the Greek Three Fates, she was the one who measure out how much rope you had till you ran out)

Our chance to stretch the rope, in other words.

And, just for good measure, a Grand Sextile.  Grand Sextiles are fabulous for Creating; we could use it to Create a new Reality, for instance.  It’s interesting that the Grand Sextile and the Grand Septile don’t share any planets.  But we can use the Magic of the Fairy Star to clear away impediments to our Motivation to Create a World closer to the one we Want to Live in.  The Grand Sextile does share two corners with the Grand Cross, which is always a good sign.  So the Grand Sextile connects to the Grand Septile through the Grand Cross, another good sign.  Lachesis and Chaos are the corners that the Grand Sextile and Grand Cross share.  The other four Rays are…

• Lilith (Self-Sovereignty and Yindependence)
• The asteroid Klotho (another of the three Fates, namely the one who weaves the fabric of Life); interesting that asteroid Arachne (Grandmother Spider, Klotho’s equivalent in the Hopi Worldview), along with asteroid Hopi Herself, and asteroid Sappho (She who sings the Praises of Love)
• The asteroid Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs) and the dwarf planet Eris (New Insight from the Unconscious)
• The asteroid Kassandra (the prophetess who was cursed to never be Believed)

Nessus Stationary

Nessus the Mythical Centaur was a rapist who got caught and killed, but not before he arranged the death of his killer.  It’s an interesting twist, because Nessus certainly represents the self-appointed Privilege of the Patriarchy, yet he was killed by, and indirectly killed, Hercules, whose “God-Given” Assignment was to kill the pre-existing Matriarchy.  Reminds me of all the politicians who are so skillfully shooting themselves in the foot with their tirades against Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité as they defend their favorite Corruption.  So we’ve been interpreting the Cosmological Centaur and minor planet Nessus as dealing with Privilege, especially Masculine Privilege, and the other side of its Coin, Abuse.

But looking at the chart of Nessus’s “Discovery,” we find that there’s a lot more going on here.  

To begin with, Nessus was “Discovered” during the 1993 Uranus-Neptune Conjunction, which we consider to be the final and pinnacle event of the Harmonic Convergence.  Neptune had already Initiated Uranus, and a few months later, when they were both Stationary turning Retrograde, Nessus was “Discovered.”  The Initation occurred at 20 Capricorn, “A hidden choir is singing during a religious service,” hidden meaning occult, and implying Unconscious.  Since the Uranus-Neptune Cycle is about the relationship between the Individual and Society, and between the Individual Soul and the Group Soul, Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité – avec la bénédiction de Dieu (Neptune representing anything larger than ourSelf, including the concept of God/Goddess) – is an excellent motto for the 170-year Cycle.  While the Unconscious sings hymns to us.

• Which sort of makes Nessus a lad in the choir.  And lo, as is so often the case, a “malevolent” planet turns out to be “just” a Teacher.  As usual, it’s not the external World that harms us, it’s our Resistance to the external World.

So let’s start with the Quintile Patterns in the Nessus “Discovery” chart.  A Quintile is the Angle formed when two planets are one fifth of the way around the chart from one another, and it signifies Teaching and Learning.

The Discovery chart includes four fifths of a Grand Quintile, between Juno (the Edges of Consciousness), the Sun (Essence), a Conjunction between Vesta and 2007 OR10 (Bringing Unconscious Beliefs into Consciousness), and the North Node (Our Mission).  The Vacancy is 1 Libra, “In a collection of perfect specimens of many biological forms, a butterfly displays the beauty of its wings, its body impaled on a fine dart.”  Normally we’d be horrified by this Symbol, as it indicates Death enjoying the beauty of Life.  But in this case, its our Unconscious Beliefs that are frozen and revealed for all to see – and Makemake (Manifestation of New Survival Skills) has just crossed this Degree.

• So we can expect Nessus to be associated with our Learning how to Liberate ourselves from Archetypes, Self-Sabotage, and Limitation.

The chart also includes a “Quintangle” – two Quintiles end-to-end, with a Biquintile connecting the two planets on the ends, forming a triangle.  The Quintangle is focused on a Conjunction between Ceres and a Stationary Venus (Learning to Trust our Heart Consistently).  The ends are the South Node (Our Hidden Skills) and the Uranus-Neptune Conjunction, with both Stationary (We Are All One).

• And we can expect Nessus to Teach us about our Separation.

Next we can look at the segment of the Discovery chart that includes Nessus itself.

The major Configuration in this segment of the chart is five sixths of a Grand Sextile, between Nessus (Liberation), Makemake (Manifestation), Chariklo (Beauty and Charm), The Sun (Essence), and a Conjunction between Pallas and Saturn (Solid Boundaries).  The Vacancy is 7 Capricorn, “A veiled prophet speaks, seized by the power of a god.”  

Here we also have both a Star and an asteroid completing the Grand Sextile.  The Star is Facies –

“War as a concept in the human way of life.  It has no mercy and is ruthless in its aggression and its attitudes.  [It can imply] a person who loves the combative way of life, loves the military, and may even be sadistically inclined,” according to Bernadette Brady (Brady’s Book of Fixed Stars, p.39).  

Fun.  

The asteroid is Kassandra, a prophet who was condemned never to be believed, and who therefore was unable to save Troy from the invading Greeks.  She even set fire to the Trojan Horse, but the Trojans put it out.  The Trojan War was the result of Paris and the rest of the Gods trying to appease the Ladies who were competing to be “the Fairest of them All” and lay claim to Eris’s Golden Apple – we can see it as the complexities and “unintended” consequences we create by failing to Acknowledge and Trust our Intuition.

• So we can also expect Nessus to Teach us to set Solid Boundaries against Denying our Intuition.  Since many of us have worked hard most of our Lives to suppress our Intuition, this is a Lesson we really need.

Next let’s look at the chart segment that includes the Stationary Uranus-Neptune Conjunction, which is an extraordinarily Strong indication.  This segment is extraordinarily busy.

It includes ten twelfths of a Grand Unx, which is twelve planets equally distributed around the Zodiac (an “Unx” is one twelfth of something).  A Grand Unx yields three Grand Crosses, two Grand Sextiles, and handfuls of Fingers of God and Diamond Stars.  With the two Vacancies, we have one Grand Cross, two T-Squares, one Grand Sextile, and the T-Squares are both Diamond Stars.  The Vacancies are 22 Libra “A child giving birds a drink at a fountain,” and 22 Sagittarius, “A Chinese Laundry,”  The participants are Pluto Conjunct Ixion (Mandatory Expression of our Hidden Genius), Hylonome Conjunct Asbolus (Intuitions about Yindependence), Chiron (Despair, Empathy, and Miracle), Juno (Edges of Consciousness), the Moon (Instincts), Chaos (Unlimited Potential), Mercury Conjunct Eris (Revelation of Denial), Lilith (Yindependence), Vesta Conjunct 2007 OR10 (Revelation of Unconscious Beliefs), and Uranus-Neptune (We Are All One).  Whew!

Since an Unx is about Pattern-Breaking, Karma doesn’t stand a chance against a Grand Unx.  We need only add Compassion (drinks for the birds) and appreciation of our role in and contribution to the larger Culture (Chinese Laundry), since Vacancies show what the Universe expects us to provide Consciously.

• So we can expect Nessus to introduce Complexity into our Lives, because when Unconscious Complexes erupt into our Conscious Lives, it blows all of our Organizing Beliefs, and we have to start from scratch to Reorganize our Life.  That Feels like a Gordian Knot.  Empathize with your Hopelessness.  “You poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling trapped, aren’t you.”  Then Change the Subject.  You want to look for your overriding Goals, and the simplest ways to start working toward them.  The Complexity is overwhelming because it needs to be replaced by Simplicity.

The last segment of the Nessus Discovery chart is a lot simpler than the others.  It’s salient feature is a Stationary (Strong) dwarf planet Orcus.  We haven’t examined Orcus yet, but the Mythical Orcus was a son of Eris whose job was to punish oath-breakers with Death.  Orcus is Conjunct both Pholus (Taking Full Responsibility) and Chiron (Despair, Empathy, Miracles).  So this week while Nessus is Stationary, “You better watch out / You better not shout” might be a good idea.

Orcus and friends Trine Orcus’s mom Eris, and they both Trine the North Node – which, however, forms a Kite focused on the South Node.  Orcus-Pholus-Chiron Square a Conjunction of Sedna and Chaos (Fear of the Unknown, and ill-advised Actions taken to Prevent it).

• So finally, we can expect Nessus to reveal to us the Oaths we swore at some point in this or another Lifetime in order to prevent some unappreciated event or process from recurring.  Swearing an Oath (which can be as simple as “God Damn It!”) is how we Vow “never to do that again,” which unfortunately can prevent us from doing that precisely when we need to do that.  Remember that Archetypes, Karma, Addictions, and other untoward Patterns are not  inherently negative.  They become negative when they’re our only Reaction to certain stimuli, in situations where other Responses would be more productive.  Reacting to criticism with Anger whether or not the criticism would be useful for us to hear, is an example.  More relevant are the places where we go into Fear and Anxiety – or Panic or Shutdown – in the very situations where we most need to be Grounded and Present.  Our Oaths get ossified into our Limiting Beliefs, which in a fundamental sense are anti-Life, so there is a Death there.  Each Limiting Belief is a Loss of Soul.

All told, our best strategy for the coming week is probably to be uncompromisingly Self-Loving, and to PIAVA that we Learn oodles of new useful Skills for just that.  If we start to get into Overwhelm, get ourself Safe and work on getting Grounded and Present again, before we attend to whatever triggered our Overwhelm.  Don’t hesitate to scream for Help if you need to.  Unless the Sky is Falling, a false alarm is far better than a Traumatic Experience.
