Goddess of the Sea

Salacia was evidently well ensconced as Goddess of the Sea before Neptune stalked Her. Her name is derived from Salt, as in Sea, not from Salacity. I guess the latter term derived from the “Saltiness” or preference for obscenities and general social privation of sailors. From its Discovery chart, we interpret dwarf planet Salacia as Commitment to Enlightenment, which is important because the Ego can be so tricky in its Self-Preservation that Enlightenment requires significant Commitment to stay the course.

The Sea, or course, is also a significant Metaphor for the Unconscious, and finding the True Self hidden in the Unconscious is trickier than Poseidon’s Dolphins’ search for Aphrodite. Poseidon and Aphrodite being the Greek precursors to the Neptune and Salacia of the Romans. Leave it to the Romans, the original model for Western Civilization, to de-emphasize the Spiritual and emphasize the Mundane.

The complexities of the 19-20 December 2022 Salacia Out of Bounds Station (PST 8:10 pm 19th, GMT 4:10 am 20th, IST 9:40 am 20th, AEDT Qld 2:10 pm 20th) echo the Commitment-to-Enlightenment theme. The Station occurs in 7 Aries, “A polarity, which can become either tremendously conflictual or, paradoxically, infinitely resolvable in a whole different unity… The only thing needed to enter and become conversant with open-ended mysteries is the slaying of the dual mind – a small thing to ask for such a great reward” (Lonsdale, pp.41-42).

There are two Major Challenges – Potential SuperPowers – in the Salacia Station chart. Neither is Self-Resolving, but both are Enhanced.¹ Salacia OOB Herself is one corner of a Grand Cross, but worth interpreting as a Fully Self-Resolving Challenge.² All three Challenges link to one another in such a way that they all Complement each other, increasing the Self-Resolution.³ Self-Resolution means that, whenever we can Stand It, we will be better off Letting smaller Hassles Be as they are rather than trying to “Fix” them, because they will eventually Self-Resolve, and our “Fix” can disrupt the Self-Resolution and leave us with a 2D fix to an nD issue.

That creates four T-Squares or Challenges, however, the four are In Balance by virtue of filling the Zodiac, so they Complement one another. The Salacia T-Square is a Diamond Star and one corner of a Grand Trine. …… ³ The two Grand Trines link all three T-Squares to one another, lending Grace to each.

The first non-Self-Resolving Challenge is about Deception.⁴ The Duality we’re asked to “Resolve in a whole different Unity” is between our Shame and our Enlightenment.⁵ The Enhancement involves Salacia Herself and the Choice between Life and Death, though one can Extend Life by Choosing Ego Death.⁶

Once one Imagines Merging all those Stories, though, it seems pretty clear – Unconscious Shame Left Over from the Collapse of Atlantis. I mean, really, other than throwing our Sabots into the Fusion Reactor, what could we have done? The technologists were Drunk with Power, there was no way to Communicate with them. Maybe the “whole different Unity” is to pull our Attentions out of the Rhymes of Herstory and Invest them in How We Would Like to Feel From Here On. …… ⁶ The Grand Trine connects Pinocchio with Salacia and Cyllarus-Varuna (Death-the Life Force), both of which are Out of Bounds (Exaggerated ) and Merged (Indistinguishable from one another). If we Realize that the Life Force is Interrupted by Held Emotions, and that Held Emotions are Resolved by Loving them to Death, we can interpret Cyllarus-Varuna as a Life-Saving Healing.

The second non-Self-Resolving Challenge is about the Edge between Narcissism and Unconditional Self-Love.⁷ The Argument that must be Resolved to stay on this Edge is between on the one hand the Choice between Life and Death, and on the other hand the Healing of our Self-Doubt Karma.⁸ The Enhancement lies in the Relationships between the Edge, Shame, and Enlightenment.⁹

The Salacia OOB Diamond Star Resolves a Conflict between our Karma about Global Climate Change and Delegating to Ganesh, the Remover of Obstacles.¹⁰ The Resolution lies in the Collaboration between Unconditional Self-Love and Enlightenment, though we need to take the first step toward Balancing Self-Love and Self-Admiration.¹¹ The Enhancement involves Deception and the Choice between Life and Death.¹² How do Deception and Life-and-Death Collaborate? Perhaps by Selective Denial.

Is it our Karma to be born just as Global Climate Change is about to decimate our Species, or did we as Souls Sign Up in the Lightworkers Lounge to be part of the Solution? What’s your Most Difficult Karma about, the most difficult Personal Issue you’re still working on after all these years, and the Global Issue that you still Worry most about? Poverty? Grief? Health? Vitality? Hunger? Homelessness? War? Lust? Loneliness? Oppression? Fascism? Pain? Anger? Aggression? Abuse? Privilege? Rape of the Earth? Injustice? Memories that Torture you?

As Lightworkers, we aren’t here to be Victims of those Issues or others. We’re here to Surrender to Victimhood just long enough to have the Real Experience of what they feel like so we can Empathize Authentically. And not to waste a minute more on being their Victim, because there’s more Work to be done Healing them. How? Poor-Sweetheart yourself for being their Victim, then Change the Subject. Then spend all of your “Spare Time” Triggering in yourself the Emotion that you’ll Feel when all of your Misery about that has Dissolved and instead Changed to Excitement about your Adeptitude with the Issue, or the Imagined Adeptitude of others.

Not able to dig up any Feeling of Adeptitude? There is some level of Adeptitude you’ve earned, no matter how small – Focus on Gratitude for that. Focus on Gratitude that in the Present Moment, this Issue doesn’t require 200% of your Attention to Keep yourself Alive. Not able to Escape from your Victimhood for more than a few minutes? Poor-Sweetheart yourself for Being Stuck, and Move On. Not have any Spare Time? What is it that you’re Not Taking Full Ownership of? Are you here as a Lightworker, or did you get Hypnotized by the Ambient DramaTrauma and Forget? Both, of course, Hypnosis is how we Experience what we need to Empath. But you can snap your fingers now and Wake Up.

Emotion is not Either/Or, it’s Multidimensional and Unitary. Hate is not the Opposite of Love. The Opposite of Love is the Absence of Love. You can think of a hundred names for the Opposite of the Thought of Love, but there is No Opposite for Love itself. Emotions are Absolutes. You’re either Feeling them or you Aren’t. Pick the Personal or Global Issue that you still Worry most about. Then find something about that Issue that you can be Loving toward, no matter how Tiny. Nothing Changes Until We Accept It Exactly As It Is. Then PIAVA to Grow your Love toward it Daily. That’s what we came here for. Let’s get to it, K?

Cavansite, the blue Crystal below, symbolizes Gentle but Disciplined Focus and Consistent Attention, especially toward your Highest Frequencies. Good Will and Good Boundaries, Good Relations with our Higher Self, Appreciation of and Comfort with Self. It’s actually a Mica (“Phyllosilicate,” like Pyllo Dough, a Silicate mineral the grows in planes, tightly connected to its horizontal neighbors but more loosely tied to the next plane vertically). It’s composed of Vanadium, Calcium, Water, and the Silicate units.

It grew atop a cluster of Stilbite Crystals, also called Desmine. It conveys “the loving allowance that creates the ability to accept one’s condition and move beyond.” It’s a hydrated Potassium Aluminum tektosilicate (where the silicate units arrange themselves in a 3D network), and a Zeolite, a type of Crystal that contains millions of tiny holes that can vacuum up unwanted physical or biological nano-Entities and store them to be contained or removed. (Marquist and Frasl, pp.38 and 142)

Crystals grow in pockets of hot molten stone within mother rocks. As temperature and possibly pressure decline, the chemical compounds that Crystallize most easily, like the Potassium, Aluminum, Silicate, and Water in the Stilbite, solidify first. For some reason the Cavansite Crystalized on top of the Stilbite. Maybe a suitable temperature-pressure environment for Cavansite occurred later, and/or maybe the pocket was near a fault or crack that later allowed a different substrate of molten stone to enter the pocket, one that contained Calcium and Vanadium. Vanadium is an unusual element in that it can have several different electrical states. Many Vanadium Crystals are dark red to brown; this one is blue because it uses a unique electrical state. The property is used to create batteries that can be charged and discharged at the same time, using different states of the Vanadium. House-size vats of dissolved Vanadium are used at scale by utilities for this purpose.

Self-Love New Moon 2

In the 14 November 2020 New Moon chart, the planets in the “Basket of Grace” (blue upside-down Truss Bridge) under the red triangle are an interesting pair. They tell us How the Nasty Challenge (T-Square red triangle) will Self-Resolve. First there’s dwarf planet Eris, which is about Revelation of What’s Been Denied, and second there’s dwarf planet Asbolus, meaning Intuition, Merged With (Conjunct) the North Node, which indicates our Lifetime Mission.

Our Life Mission is way too multidimensional for the Dualistic Mind to be able to do more than get an occasional glimpse of it from one angle, so if our Life Mission were an Elephant, we’d be the seven Blind Men trying to figure out what it is. Our Intuition, though, is able to handle many more Dimensions, as long as we don’t constantly Diminish it by squeezing it into Words. So our Intuition has been giving us Videos of our Life Mission in the form of Skits from our Childhood and Past Lives (Eris).

Asbolus and the North Node are three and a half Degrees apart and separating, so the Connection is weakening, but both of them are well within three Degrees of the New Moon, so they’re Reconnected and Re-Energized by the New Moon. (Three Degrees is the Limit of Connection that we use in this blog; it and one Degree are the most common Limits of Connection that astrologers use. The less Difference between the Locations, the Stronger the Connection.) The Asbolus-North Node Connection was Exact at the end of August, within one Degree between mid-August and mid-September, and within three Degrees between late July and late September, so we’ve been Experiencing this Connection for a while.

Intuition can be illusive. My Intuition Teacher advised me to Ask myself “What If I Did Know?” and tentatively Believe the Answer I got. Translating an Intuition into Words is like pinning a Butterfly to a block of styrofoam – it might look good, but you’ve just Killed it. So Word Pictures of Intuitions are always tentatively or “…Or Something Like That,” as Eugene Gendlin liked to say. But the point is that the Information is Available. We can try retrieving it with a Theta such as “God/Goddess, Creator of All That Is, I Command that I Grok the Intuitions about my Life Mission that I Received over the Summer (North) or Winter (South) so they will Help Me Let Go of Karmic Impediments to Unconditional Self-Love. In case you haven’t read Heinlein, Grok means “to drink in all available aspects of reality or to become one with the observed,” the multidimensional equivalent of “Understanding,” which is what the Limited Dualistic Mind does. You may or may not Notice any lightbulbs over your head, but it may be better if you don’t, because then you’ll be less Tempted to Wordify it. Just Trust that you’ve Received and Grokked the Download, and that it has Changed you accordingly.

We need this because the next week plus will be Challenging. Our Ability to Trust, and to Grok what’s Trustable so we can Trust it, is Lit Up through 17 November, as asteroid Eurydike, which symbolizes Trust, is increasingly Exaggerated until 1am PST on 18 November. As usual with astrology, that’s for Good or Ill, as our Trust will be Challenged so we can Witness the places where we OverTrust and UnderTrust and Adjust accordingly.

In the New Moon chart asteroid Veritas, the Truth of the Mind, is Merged with Pluto, Compulsion. We may or may not Believe Facts, depending on whether or not they Align with our current Concept Set. For instance, many people Reject the Fact that the Earth is Flat (when seen from the center of a plain, for instance) because they’ve been Hypnotized by “Science” to Believe that it’s Round. It might Look Round from the Moon, but we don’t Live on the Moon. It might Look Curved from an airplane, but there are lots of Curves that aren’t Round. The Dualistic Mind will always Delude you unless you always specify the conditions under which each “Fact” is “True” – and what a Headache that would be.

It’s a lot Easier if we just recognize that like Loki or Coyote, the Mind is a Trickster, simply because it usually thinks in Either/Or, while the Universe is Both/And. “Figures don’t Lie, but Liars sure can Figure,” is a general rule that Statisticians use, if they know what they’re doing. The Truth of the Mind is always Relative to usually-unspecified and often-unknown Assumptions and Conditions, and it’s Dual, so it usually Flips rather than Adjusts. Goddess Knows we’re getting a graduate seminar in Exactly This in our Political Dramas these days. This is Grade-School Bullshit, and we need to see through it so we can instead Focus on The Most Important Thing – Climate Change, as the Dali Lama reminds us. If we don’t, Death by COVID might turn out to be the more Merciful Choice.

In the New Moon chart, Pluto-Veritas (Compulsive Belief in “Facts”) is Challenged (Squared) by Eris, or Revelation of What’s Been Denied. Compulsive Belief in “Facts” is also Contrasted (Opposed) to Respect for All Things (asteroid Hopi) – we will never see Peace and Collaboration and 5D and Sustainability as long as we invest our Trust in Either/Or. Reality is always Both/And.

Besides Compulsive Belief in “Facts” (Pluto-Veritas), Revelation of What’s Been Denied (Eris) and Respect for All Things (Hopi), the fourth corner of the big red square (a “Grand Cross” in astrologuese) in the New Moon chart is The Heart (Venus). It’s the Heart that Groks. The Truth of the Heart is symbolized by asteroid Aletheia. For any given Person, the Truth of the Heart is not Relative like “Facts” are, but Absolute. What we have to Remember about the Heart is that Everyone’s Truth of the Heart is Different. You can, if you’re clever, convince someone to Believe in the “Truth” of your “Facts.” Shame on you, but you can do it.

You’ll never convince anyone to Believe in the Truth of your Heart, if their Heart has a Different Truth. They might pretend to Believe to get you off their back, but our Heart-Truths are Permanent and Inviolable. We Recognize them Intuitively, not Intellectually. Heart-Truths are multidimensional, and suffer Wordification poorly. As long as Hupers fail to Recognize the Difference between Mind-“Facts” and Heart-Truths, and fail to Realize that Everyone’s Heart-Truths are Different, there will never be Peace on the Planet.

That’s a “Grand Quintile,” Grand because it fills the whole chart, and Quintile because it features five planets more or less equally space around the Zodiac. Quintiles are about Teaching and Learning, and a Grand Quintile is about Multidimensional Teaching and Learning. There are twenty-six Relationships we’re being Taught to Grok…

Then the Real Teaching takes center stage, as Intrusive Memories (dwarf planet Gonggong) are Lit Up till 20 November and Abuse and Privilege (dwarf planet Nessus) are Lit Up till 22 November. The Poster Child for Abuse and Privilege is the Antagonist of the Big Political Drama, and it’s our own Intrusive Memories of all of our own Karmic Abuse and Privilege Experiences and Patterns that will be Triggered. How many of us will be able to Differentiate the Present Moment from our Regressions?

And the Mind-Truths of Privilege for the White Supremacists? The Heart-Truths of Privilege for the Narcissists? I doubt that many of them will Know the Difference between Reality and their Projections, but we can always pray for Miracles. There are Intriguing Possibilities in the Angle between the New Moon and each of the three Stations – Eurydike, Gonggong, Nessus. We’ll talk about those in the next post.

Ascension New Moon

Wouldn’t ya know we have a barbell distribution, with most of the votes on either end.  I’ve always believed that we should be able to vote NO WAY for something, in which case nothing would get our vote, but a vote would be subtracted from the tally of the thing we voted NO WAY (or “annoying”) on.  If we tally the votes that way, we tentatively end up with hex code CC66FF for our interspersed astrologuese jargon.

Now that we’ve Claimed as much of our Power as we’re ready for (the 18 April Station of Hylonome [Self-Sovereignty]), our next major astroevent is a New Beginning on 22 April 2020 (6:25 pm PDT) that’s all about Ascension (New Moon in 4 Taurus [Matter] Conjunct Uranus [Soul]) with a Big Serving of Unconditional Self-Love (Diamond Square pointing to dwarf planet Makemake [Manifestation] and asteroid Sappho [Self-Love]).

There are lots of additional details worth describing.

…and since it at least partially Resolves the Most Meaningful, Rewarding, and Mysterious Processes in our Life (the base of the T-Square is the Nodal Axis [our Lifetime Path]).  The Mission end of this Process is Unadulterated, or Whole (North Node in 3 Cancer, without Conjunctions).  Our Mission is usually just beyond our comprehension, but at least here we may be able to Sense the Whole of it.

The Karma end of the Process is all wrapped up in the big Extended Climate Change Drama (including the Granolavirus) and our Potential Unique Personal Contribution to Regenerating our Species and its Role on the Planet (South Node [our Held Emotions that we’d rather Die than Feel] Conjunct dwarf planets Pholus [Covering All the Bases], Quaoar [our Survival Instincts], and Ixion [our Forbidden Genius]).

And as we and others have often averred, we are Outpicturing – Manifesting – our Future now and in every moment through our Thoughts and Feelings.  Our Reality is Created by our Energy.  If we spend our Limited Time and Attention on What We Don’t Want, that’s ultimately what we’re likely to Manifest.

If we instead devote our Limited Time and Attention to What We Want and How We’ll Feel When We Create It, THAT’S what we’re more likely to Manifest.

This is Complicated, largely Unconscious, and Dependent on many Multidimensional factors that we usually don’t consider (Pholus).  But we are Spiritual Creators, and we spend every moment, waking or otherwise, Creating (PIAVAing) our Future.  Creating our Individual Future, yes, but since the Boundaries (asteroid Pallas) between the Egos and Bodies and Minds of our self and our Fellow Travelers (including not just the People but also the Critters and Plants and Crystals) are totally Imaginary, Creating our Collective Future as well.

The Individual and the Collective occupy the same Space and Time.  They are Separate in our Dualistic Mind, but not in Objective Reality.  But both the Individual and the Collective are Infinitely Redefinable.  The Collective is not a big box of Sandwiches, it’s a big Cauldron of Soup.  And a gazillion little bowls.  And the containers are Imaginary.  The Boundaries aren’t even lines on a map.  They’re Ideas in our Minds, flexing constantly.

Every Thought is a Prayer, and All Prayers are Answered.  That’s a preposterous idea, isn’t it, because the result is Unimaginably Multidimensional.  That’s Exactly how Limited our everyday Dualistic Mind is, compared to an Infinite Universe.  If we Want to Manifest Consciously, we need to Upgrade our Thinking.

What if every Decision we ever made Created a New Universe that included that version of ourself, along with Parallel Universes containing versions of ourself that made the Decision Differently.  When we Rue a Decision made long ago, especially one which we made Unconsciously – which we’ve been doing lately, haven’t we (dwarf planet OR10, which we’ll get to later) – we’re Experiencing Bleedthrough from that other Universe.  We don’t have the Bandwidth to comprehend the Multiverse Intellectually.

But we can Grok the Multiverse a little bit Intuitively, and that’s a place to start Expanding our Ideas about Boundaries between “us” and “them” (the New Moon T-Squares the Opposition between Saturn [The Most Important Thing] Conjunct Pallas [Boundaries] and Varuna [the Life Force]; meanwhile the New Moon-Uranus Stellium itself is also Conjoined by asteroid Hopi [Respect for All Things/Beings]).

We’re being Gifted here with Unconditional Self-Love

(Diamond Star to Makemake-Sappho from the Nodal Axis – !!! – think about What That Means !!!  What more could we possibly Ask for?).

It’s not about What We Want for Everyone Else, It’s about What We Want for Me, Myself, and I.  What “they” Want for themselves is not the same as What We Want for Ourself.  The Golden Rule was always Fucked.  In a Win-Win Universe it’s always Do Unto Others as They Want to Be Done Unto.

The Cosmic Jigsaw Puzzle self-assembles into the Perfect Tapestry when Each of Us Outpictures What We Want and of course when Each of Us is also Advanced Enough to Avoid Harming Others, including not Abusing them by Dishonoring their Self-Sovereignty.  Yes, “We” got a ways to go, but the only Person you can Change is You, so our Work is Well-Defined, isn’t it.

TMIT Is Embracing Held Emotions

Yesterday’s Ixion (Forbidden Genius) Station was a big deal, and the 14 September 2019 Stations of Pholus and Quaoar (Responding to Survival Instincts) are huge for the likes of Climate Change and Extinctions including our own, all these (and the many other intervening diversions) are really just details in the Real Main Event, namely the 18 September Station of Saturn on the South Node.  Anyone who’s been here a while knows that we consider Saturn to mean The Most Important Thing (ie, “TMIT”), and the South Node to mean our Karma, most specifically our Held Emotions.

Held Emotions are those which “We’d rather Die than Feel,” probably because that’s what we were Feeling in a number of recent Past Deaths.  Every Past Life featured a Past Death, and physical Deaths are often unpleasant.  From the Perspective of the Immutable Soul though, every Death is just a Transition, albeit a usually difficult one.  We misinterpret Held Emotions, reading them as “We’d rather Die than Feel,” when the real issue is “We’d rather Die than Feel” – which is to say, the Ego – our Identity or We – has to Die if we want to move beyond the Blocks that our Held Emotions present.

Few of us are able to get beyond the Dualistic mind to begin to Grok our Multidimensional and Unitary Mission – why we took this particular Lifetime – as symbolized by the North Node.  But this “Dragon” (the other name for the Nodes) has a secret.  That’s why Bilbo risked getting toasted to sample Smaug’s Horde.  Hidden behind our Held Emotions are the Skills we developed in these Lifetimes where we Died so unceremoniously, and we cannot Accomplish our Mission without these Skills.  So it would be very relevant to aver that The Most Important Thing we have to do in any Lifetime, is to Learn to Embrace our Held Emotions.

In one version of the Sisiutl story of the Canadian West Coast, this Horrendous two-headed Dragon is famous for turning to Stone anyone or thing who looks it in the eye.  Not just Instant Death, but being Frozen in Terror till the End of Days.  No fun.  So how do we Overcome our Personal Sisiutl?  As Sisiutl approaches we Stand Still with our eyes closed, until He gets so close that his two heads, on either side of us, see each other, and it’s He who turns to Stone.

In other words, when these Horrendous Emotions arise, we Stand Still for them.  They aren’t Real, they aren’t Present-Moment, they’re Karma, ancient bundles of Terror dolled up in a Dragon suit, Paper Tigers, Shadow Puppets.  They become “Real” in the Present Moment only through our Beliefs and Expectations.  Nocebos, granted Life by our Projections.  If we can Tolerate the Presence of the Dragon, we can Embrace the Lost Child in the Dragon Suit.  By Embracing and Befriending that Lost Child, we Recover the Skills we need to Do What We Came Here To Accomplish.  It’s not about Heroism and Strength, it’s about Surrender and Vulnerability.

The immediate Energy is a Station of asteroid Hopi (Respect for All Things) that occurs 12 September (8:30 pm PDT) in 14 Capricorn, only ten arcseconds from Saturn.  In other words, what are you Judging, what are you Resisting, of what Energy are you the Victim?  These are huge clues.  If you wait till your Held Emotions come rushing in as pure Emotion, you’ll be Overwhelmed.  But if you take your Pet Peeves and other Fears, and turn them over in your hand, you may be able to sneak down that hidden tunnel to the Lair in the Hollow Hill, where your Held Emotions sleep, and catch them unawares.

Dwarf planet Hylonome also joins Hopi, Saturn, and the South Node.  Hylonome is about Self-Sovereignty.  So you can also look over the places where you Give Your Power Away, and Ask yourself Why you do that.  Not in the sense of What Triggers It, but in the sense of What Are You Afraid Of, Why are you Compelled to Give Away Your Power in these circumstances.

What Distinguishes our Karma from our everyday Bummers, is not just Repetition, but Unconsciousness.  When we start Shaking, or have a sudden unquenchable need for Chocolate or any other of our Addictions, or have a sudden need to Sleep, we don’t think, “Oh, there’s my Karma!”  We reach for the Chocolate or the Cider or whatever Stabilizes us for the few minutes that it does.  This Moment is where our Power arises and we Give It Away.  This is the Moment when we Want to Ask, “What’s this about?”  “What am I Resisting and Hoping to Avoid?”

Our Karma is Unconscious, so Plan-Execute-Analyze won’t work.  To get behind the Veil to the Other Side we have to use PIAVA instead – Prayer, Intention, Asking, Visualizing, Affirming, and all of the “silent” terms like Commanding, Wondering, Expanding (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava-review/ and https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava/).

The other elements of Big Grace in the Juno-Sedna chart, and the upcoming Sedna Station chart, are two Diamond Stars.

A T-Square (drawn as a red triangle) is made up of two planets Opposite one another, with a third at their Midpoint (ie, three Signs from each).  It means a Challenge.  The ultimate aim is to become Adept at this Challenge, but it’s via the School of Hard Knocks.  If we haven’t Figured Out what we’re supposed to be Learning, we usually Experience a T-Square as Long-Suffering Frustration.

I mean, how would we know, if we didn’t have our chart drawn up?  And even then, an Ego astrologer would concur that we were screwed.  We’d just think it was horrible Karma!

That’s what I thought about my own T-Squares until I Realized that the Fourth Harmonic (a Square goes one Fourth of the way around the Zodiac) is about Dominion – Healthy Control, Mastery!  (Or, without the possible hidden implication of Slavery as the inverse of Mastery, Adeptness.)  Dominion is the Fourth Principle in the Tarot’s Major Arcana.

A natal T-Square is a Life-Long graduate seminar, where there are no real Answers, only better Questions, better because they lead to a fuller understanding of the Depth and Breadth of the Issue that the T-Square presents.  So when we Reframe it thus, each Bummer in our Life-Long series of Bummers, has taught us a new Principle, Subtlety, Corollary, Insight, or Breakthrough about the subject of our seminar.

Each time we thought we were going to get it “Right” this time!  We thought we could make External Reality match our Perfect Pictures.  And every time we Failed.  But each time we Learned more about it.  Each time we got a little closer to What We Want, though many times we’ve taken wide Detours into places we didn’t know were Related until we went there.  Truth is, we’ll never Achieve our Perfect Pictures, because Perfect Pictures are 2D Snapshots, while Real Life is a Hologram in an Infinite number of Dimensions.

Achieving our Perfect Pictures would be like trying to Grok the nature of a Butterfly by pinning it to a board.  The hardest thing about a T-Square is that we can’t give it up.  Dropping the class is not an Option, because What We Want is an Irrevocable Compulsion.  It’s What We’re Here For.  We often settle for an Addiction – we get so Frustrated by our Lack of Success, which we take as a Personal Failure, that we divert ourself with the small but Satisfying Pleasure that we can get from Sugar, Alcohol, MJ, Sex, or worse.  It’s Temporary, but by the time we Indulge, we forget our Frustration.

Let’s take an Example.  For instance, suppose we hypothesize someone who has a Life-Long Challenge (T-Square) to Figure Out how to set up Effective Boundaries (Haumea-Pallas-Aletheia) between their Soul (Uranus) and their Ego so they can Approach their LifeTime Mission (North Node).  Oh, gosh, that’s one of the T-Squares in the Juno-Sedna chart, isn’t it.  What a coincidence…

The North Node is symbolized by those earphones in the lower right.  The red triangle that points to the earphones is the T-Square.  Well, we know already that our Mission is like Differential Equations or Calculus – we never really get there, we just keep cutting the distance in half between us and it…

If What We Want is Water and it’s always just out of Reach, that’s the Picture of Frustration.  We need to Reframe it – we may never get any Water in this Lifetime, but we’re sure going to Learn everything there is to Learn about Striving for it.  And probably, literally, Die trying.  Which is Cool – we was gonna Die anyway, so why not Die for a Cause.  And there aren’t any Causes more important to us than What We Want.

So, this particular “Challenge to Figure Out how to set up Effective Boundaries between our Soul and our Ego so we can Approach our LifeTime Mission” isn’t Life-Long, it’s only temporary.  We’re using the Mean Nodes, and they move about a Degree-and-a-half per month, so this Uranus-Haumea-North Node T-Square will only be with us for a few months.  But meanwhile, here in the context of wresting Power out of Fear (Sedna Stationary), finding a Boundary  between Soul and Rebirth that Serves our Mission is a Challenge that Confronts us.

For instance, the best Boundary here between Soul and Mission might be no Boundary, and Surrendering our Sovereignty to that Degree might Scare the Living Daylights out of our Ego, not to mention how it could Frighten our Dependents, as we might be Compelled to Abandon them for some abstruse Project like Saving Antarctica for the Penguins.  Or it could Drive us to Drink.  Here’s how some folks might do these Boundary Games…

“Full of anticipation, we set off and when we had adjusted our consciousness to the high vibration, we found ourselves in the Fairy sector.  However serious the reason for our visit may be, first we must play.  This is a necessity and not a frivolity because, until we have rushed about as fast as we can, there remain clinging to us, Earth ideas, and until we are rid of them, we are unable to concentrate.  What fun this period is.

“We burst and reform only to disintegrate again almost immediately.  In this destruction, the atoms of our bodies change their positions and one of our amusements is to stop them from rejoining those of the person to whom they rightfully belong.  Of course we can never prevent them from doing this for long, but sometimes we keep them poised between the two of us, they look so funny that we begin laughing, our concentration vanishes until we are once more complete and ready to burst again.”

♥ So, that’s a T-Square.  But weren’t we supposed to be talking about Diamond Stars?  Oh, ok, I remember now.

See the two green lines rising from the North Node?  That’s called a Finger of God, and it means Pay Attention to this!!  Some folks also call it a “Yod.”  In these charts, red lines represent Challenge, green Curiosity, and blue Grace.  Notice that when we connect the Yod to the T-Square, a web of blue lines is created on the other side of the central Opposition – literally, a Bowl of Grace.

This is a Diamond Star, and it means that the T-Square is a Self-Resolving Challenge because of the Grace in the blue lines, which make a double Trine Bridge, or two Easy Alternative Paths, across the T-Square.  Like an escalator up the side of the Cliff we Expected to have to climb.  So our two escalators in this Diamond Star are Suspending Disbelief or Allowing our Beliefs to Shift (Klotho-Vesta), and Trusting our Forbidden Genius (Eurydike-Ixion), which will require a Shift in our Values (Venus).

If we are to Trust the Genius of our True Self, we’re probably going to have to Give Up some Obedience to the Values of our former Masters or Programmers.  Recognizing that they were Doing the Best They Knew How at the Time, we just know that this is the time when we have to substitute Self-Trust for the relative Security of their Truth.

This is a Diamond Square, so this just happens, it’s not something we have to work hard at, though we may have to work a bit at Surrendering our Resistance to it – at least enough to enable us to Notice the Difference.  After all, the overall Work this week is Growth of Consciousness – Juno-Sedna.

So the Bottom Line of this Diamond Star is that both our Beliefs and our Values will Shift, or have already Shifted.  Have you Noticed any of that in your own Experience yet?  This is a big Change in our Identity, since Values and Beliefs are the Foundations of Who We Are.  And an Effortless Shift.  We haven’t mentioned Nemesis or Ego Death once, and they aren’t involved.

Well, not in an obvious way anyway.  Nemesis is Octile (Adjustment) to Mars (Action) and Trioctile (Rebalancing) to Pluto (the Underlying Energy).  Without the Diamond Star that would be enough to create some Ego Death, and at any rate no Change of Identity takes place without some Ego Death.  Death doesn’t have to be Unpleasant, however, if we Take Ourselves Lightly, like the Angels do.  That Mars-Pluto Square is about An Angel with a Harp, recall.

If you’ve Noticed your Beliefs, Values, Identity Shifting in the last several days, have you Noticed any signs of Ego Death? Getting Lost in a familiar place, for instance, where it feels like part of you knows exactly where you are, but another part is Experiencing it as Brand New.  That’s an important kind of Shift to Notice as we Grow our Consciousness.

♥ The second Diamond Star (notice the double green lines emanating from the point of the T-Square) is focused on the Stellium in Libra – Haumea-Aletheia-Pallas, or Rebirth of True Boundaries.  If our Boundaries are Out of Balance with our Soul or our Goals or our Mission, we won’t know Who to Trust, or what to eat for breakfast, or when to Meditate and when to Act.  So this is a Big Deal.

The roots of this Yod are Chiron (Despair/Miracles) and Juno-Sedna itself (Bringing our Fears into Consciousness).  As we’ve said, when our Fears are Unconscious, they Control our Life.  In order to Overcome them (or rather, Love them into becoming the Power that they really are) we need first to Bring them into Consciousness.  Despair is totally appropriate when our Unconscious Fears rule our Lives, because we’re Powerless against them.

But fortunately, Chironean Despair is easy to fix – alls we gotta do is Poor-Sweetheart ourself.  We say to ourself, “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Overwhelmed, aren’t you.”  That statement Shifts our Identity from Despair to Compassion.  If we don’t Change the Subject afterwards though, we may get sucked back into Despair (though we could always Poor-Sweetheart ourself again).

Once we slip out of our stiff, scratchy Despair shirt and pull on our soft, warm Compassion hoodie, we can Change the Subject – do something else entirely, and divert our Attention.  That will allow the Overwhelming Challenges that Triggered our Despair to Resolve themselves on their own, without the Interference of our Anxiety.  After all, We are now Compassion, not Worry.

All Prayers are Answered, and a “You Poor Sweetheart…” is a Prayer of sorts, a Surrendering of the Overwhelm to your Higher Power.  It’s also a Loving Moment like Gary Craig talks about in his Unseen Therapist process (https://www.emofree.com/), which is a very Powerful Healing technique to Learn.  It’s also Easy to Learn if you’ve been PIAVAing for a while (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava-review/).

♥ We don’t talk about them often, but the seven short green lines are also important, and you can take advantage of them in any chart you find them in.  They’re called “Unxes” because an “Unx” is one twelfth of something.  The Twelfth Harmonic is about Pattern-Breaking.  That’s one of the most Powerful Skills we can develop.  After all, Karma is just Patterns, so if we can Break those Patterns, we’re Golden.

In fact, the South Node (Karma itself!) has two Unxes, one to Trusting our Forbidden Genius (Aletheia-Ixion-Venus), and the other to Suspending Disbelief (Klotho-Vesta).  The implication is that these two Intentional Acts will shake a good deal of our Karma and Self-Sabotage Loose.  We won’t turn that down.

The other Unxes and Opportunities for some relatively Easy Pattern-Breaking are…

• Suspending Disbelief to Despair/Miracles (Chiron).  An excellent Example of that – when you encounter what feels like a familiar Bummer about to repeat, Suspend your Belief that it’s Inevitable.  It Aint.  Just don’t Grab it.  Just slip out the back, Jack; just get off the bus, Gus – there must be fifty ways to Leave your Karma.  And don’t for a moment think that your Kinship with your Karma isn’t a Love Relationship – how long have the two of you been Joined at the Hip after all?

• Despair/Miracles to your Soul (Uranus).  What keeps you from Uniting your Soul and your Ego?  You don’t even need to know it, you can just say to yourself, “You Poor Sweetheart, You aren’t Identifying with your Soul as much as you could be, are you.”  Then just Change the Subject and Enjoy!

• Soul to Consciousness of Fear (Juno-Sedna).  I mean, what would your Soul have to Fear, anyway?  Certainly not Annihilation, it’s Immortal by definition.  Abandonment might Sadden Her, but even that’s Doubtful, as She surely knows that Getting Lost is the first stage of Getting Found.  We may have already Resolved all of our Sedna Station Issues with that last Poor Sweetheart.  Wouldn’t that be great!

• Consciousness of Fear to Unlimited Potential (dwarf planet Chaos).  Of course we’ve already Kegeled our Fear into Power, but even then, Unlimited is pretty Scary.  Reminds us of when we used to Imagine walking off the Edge of the Flat Earth, or those Nightmares we used to have about the Grand Canyon.  Better to PIAVA our Unlimited Potential.  How else will we shake it free from our existing Limiting Beliefs?

• Unlimited Potential to our Mission (North Node).  How does that Feel – Exciting?  If it doesn’t, Breathe.  Better?  You should be Feeling a Surge of Energy up your Spine.  We may even be Wondering, what the Hell is my Mission, anyway?  If so, great – Wonder is a hidden PIAVA (don’t try to Figure It Out though – that will Limit it).  You could make it PIVAWA if you want, or even WIPAVA.

It’s really pretty Simple math – Fear Plus Breathing Equals Excitement, Fear Plus Kegels Equals Power.  We’ll probably get lots of Opportunities to practice both over the next week.

Life Force Full Moon

It’s still a week away, but the Full Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse occurs on 20 January (9pm PST) at 1 Leo.  It’s visible in full throughout the Western Hemisphere.  And it’s Merged with (Conjunct) dwarf planet Varuna, the Life Force, the Energy which Animates Entities of all sorts.

An Eclipse symbolizes Illumination, as what we have not been Seeing is suddenly Obvious by its Absence.  Consciousness is Expanded not by Discovery, but by Differentiation.  We hear a Bird chirping in a Tree, but we can’t find it – till it moves.  Then we Realize we’ve been looking at it all along, we just didn’t Differentiate it from its Background.

“At first each change leads to new fears and discomforts but once acclimatized to the new conditions, the knowledge that they have overcome yet more hazards rewards them with greater happiness and their power grows with each new experience; the more power they develop, the speedier is their progress in every way.

“Power is the key which controls all life in growth, in colour and in form; the greater the power, the greater the progress of both the giver and receiver.  As it increases, so the capacity for giving grows and, with each advance, the giver evolves in sensitivity and is thus enabled to enjoy each ensuing experience with added understanding and pleasure.  Power is that which enables all events to take place and without it life would become extinct.

That which Animates.  If you know anything about Quantum Physics, you recognize the process.  Same Phenomena, different Metaphors.

There are three levels of Interpretation for Lunar Energy.  Not three levels of Lunar Energy, but three levels of sophistication in Interpreting and understanding Lunar Energy.  At the first level, the Moon represents Change, or random variation, random Motion, random Emotion.  When someone cuts you off on the freeway, sometimes you think, “They must be in a hurry,” and other times you curse them.  Random Reactions.

In the second level of Interpretation, the Moon represents our Instincts.  In the first case, you likely sensed that the person who cut you off was having an emergency of some kind, while in the second case you may have Instinctively Knew that the driver was Angry, and his (well, would a her cut you off?  Maybe, but less likely) reckless driving was an Act of Competition.

On the third level, the Moon stands for the Energy that holds Matter together, in the way described by Marusis above.  Remember, to Manifest we need Clarity, Neutrality, and Passion.  Clarity in the sense that we’ve Cleared any Resistance from the Unconscious, Neutrality in the sense that we don’t have an Emotional Investment in any specific Outcome, and Passion in the sense that we Care Deeply.

Is there a Contradiction between this Neutrality and this Passion?  Maybe, but Remember that Contradiction occurs only in Duality, ie, only in the mind of the Observer, not in Observed Reality.  So if you want to call it a Paradox instead of a Contradiction, I’d be fine with that.  Still skeptical about how you could Care Deeply and Passionately without an Emotional Attachment?  Your Passion is your Motivation.  It drives you to immer Streben.  Not getting the Outcome you want doesn’t deter you.

Consider your Deepest Desire.  You’ve been Streben for it as long as you’ve been Alive, and you still don’t have it.  Does that mean you give up?  You couldn’t if you wanted to – you’d just sublimate it and Seek it by a different name, one that is politically correct to your Ego.   Spots?  No, those aren’t Spots, they’re Stripes!  You’re the only one who Believe that, but what does that matter?  It’s just a word.

But your Deepest Desire is just a placeholder.  The closer you get to it, the more it morphs.  It’s a distorted picture of your Mission, but it’s the Clearest picture you can grok at your current level of Awareness.  Your True Mission is ineffable.  PIAVA it, and see what happens.  “I Wonder what it might look like to have Neutrality and Passion at the same time.”

This is why the Moon frequently Triggers other astroevents.  Because the Lunarglue is necessary for events or objects or circumstances to Adhere and stay Adhered.  Personalizing this Lunar Energy, whether by the name of Faerie, Ganesha, God/Goddess, the Unseen Therapist, Mother Mary, or Fred, gives you the advantage that you have someone to address when you Ask for its, or their, aid.  If you make it a Religion, you lose, because in most cases, when you confine Spirit to Either/Or, you’ve put a dagger through its Varuna.  Spirit and the Moon are Both/And.

Wants, Mission, Compromise 3

Because they’re so close in Time, we really have to consider the 16 June Makemake Station and the 17 June Eris-Juno Initiation and the 18 June Neptune Station as all one astroevent.  They cover most of the Zodiac – with our minimal three-Degree Sensitivity they together span 0-6 and 14-27 Degrees, leaving only 7-13 and 28-29 bare.  With six Degrees of Sensitivity (or “Orb” if you speak astologuese), which we’d normally use for reviewing any new Project, including any Personal Rebirth, we cover all but a few Degrees of the Zodiacal Loop.

That means “Nobody Gets Out Alive,” if we’re talking about Egos – everyone gets Transformed to some degree this weekend.  So we’ve summarized the Makemake Station as The End of Self-Sabotage.  Let’s look at the 17 June Eris-Juno Initiation (9:30 pm PDT) before we try to combine the three events.

Our favorite astroevents are Stations and Initiations, Stations because they Infuse our Planet with the Energy of the Stationary planet.  They’re when the Stationary planet is at its Strongest, and our best Opportunity to Learn about that planet.  Of course, when several big events Converge, we Learn more about the Convergence than about the Planet – this weekend we’re Learning more about Neptune-Makemake, with a big dash of Juno-Eris, than about either Neptune or Makemake.

We would Expect Neptune-Makemake to be slippery, as Neptune is slippery.  Most Important, Confusion is the first Stage of Growth.  Neptune represents Material Confusion but Spiritual Clarity.  Now, since Makemake is about Manifesting into Matter and Form, Material Confusion isn’t going to help us Learn much about Makemake – unless we have a very Open mind, a Cosmic sense of Humor, and use PIAVAs a lot.  Using PIAVAs a lot, we’re accustomed to Funhouse Mirrors (in the Pay Attention phase), where Distortions are our Teachers.

Let’s take an example.  We have our Lifelong Unsatisfied Longing.  We toggle, as we have all our Life, from “God I Want That” to “It’s Not Possible” and back again.  If you’re like me, you’ve been through that Fish-outa-Water flip-flop a couple of times already this weekend.  To be “jerked around by Reality” so frequently and violently would normally be Devastating.  But not this weekend, right?

First of all, we’ve gotten hip to our Chironean Victim that Believes itself to be “Jerked around by Reality,” and we’ve started to Take some Responsibility for it, Realizing that it’s our own Conflicting Unconscious or Semi-Conscious Desires and Goals that make it feel like we’re being Jerked around.  Which means that instead of Despairing about our Hopelessness, we’re instead a bit Dazed – Confused – by the Topsy-Turvy-ness of it all. 

Which is Exactly where we need to be, as in order to Grow, we need to regard Confusion as an Emotion to be Felt and Embraced exactly as it is, rather than as a Problem to be Solved.  We’ll Learn more about that, and about how it Relates to Curiosity, when we discuss the Yods and Fezzes in the Eris-Juno Initiation chart.  Curiosity, if we Enjoy it as an Emotion to be Felt and Embraced exactly as it is, rather than as a Problem to be Solved, is akin to Love, as both Eschew Judgment.  We all know that “the greatest of these is Love” – and Curiosity is only a step behind.

And second, we’ve gotten some Insight into the fact that our Lifelong Unsatisfied Longing isn’t just a Conundrum of our own making; it’s a nanoscale Reflection of a Millennia-Scale Shift that’s happening on this Planet.  The Frustration and Confusion aren’t just Yours – they’re Planetary.  As Below, So Above.  The Consciousness of the Planet, and of every Entity on it, is Evolving, and your Confusion and resulting Growth (if you can Avoid the Problem-to-be-Solved Reaction) are a tiny tiny but oh-so-Essential part of that Evolution.

And you may well have, at least on occasion, make the leap from Victim-of-Circumstances to Victim-of-Your-Own-Conflicting-Choices and on to “Oh Right, I Remember, That’s What I Came Here For!”  If you’ve read this far, you’re an “Old Soul” and a Healer.  The very Conundrum that has been so Confounding your Ego, is the very Planetary Issue that your Soul Chose to Take this Lifetime for, so you could Help the Planet Evolve.  You only need to “Unbecome everything that isn’t you so you can Become who you were meant to Be in the first place.“

Which brings us to Initiations.  The Energies that bathe us Dance in Cycles.  If we use four planets, we have six Cycles.  Say we use Moon, Mars, Juno, and Pluto.  Then our Cycles are Moon-Mars, Moon-Juno, Moon-Pluto, Mars-Juno, Mars-Pluto, and Juno-Pluto.  Every time we start a new Cycle, we Change the Water – the Zeitgeist of the Energy that bathes us Changes.  Many people pay attention to Changes of Sign, when for example Sun leaves Gemini and enters Cancer.  That’s a similar kind of Change.

Since we usually pay attention to 44 planets, that’s a heck of a lot of Cycles – almost 2,000 of them I think, way too many to keep track of.  But the End of one Cycle and the Beginning of the Next is an important milestone, and fortunately some of the 2,000 Cycles only Change their Water at long intervals – for instance, the Neptune-Makemake Cycle lasts 51,000 years or so. 

So while we’ve had an unusually large number of New Cycles lately (as we’d Expect with the Planet Shifting so), there’s only one New Cycle starting this weekend.  Not counting the Moon Cycles, which we usually ignore because they last only a month – there’s a new Moon-Ceres Cycle starting this weekend too.  Since Moon symbolizes Authenticity and Ceres Sustainability, that’s actually important.

Ceres Initiates the Moon on 17 June at 7pm PDT in 26 Leo – “After the heavy storm, a rainbow.”  Sounds like the next month holds the Potential for a Pot O’Gold.

We refer to the Beginning of a New Cycle as an Initiation, because it’s as if the slower (more Powerful, from the Soul’s Perspective) planet delivers Shaktipat or an assignment to the faster (more Powerful, from the Ego’s Perspective) planet.  We interpret the nature of the Cycle from two sources – the Degree of the Initiation and its Sabian Symbol, and the chart of the Initiation.

So in our Moon-Ceres example, the Consciousness of Sustainability says to the Consciousness of Authenticity, “You’ve been working very hard, why don’t you take a month off and Enjoy the Beauty of what you’ve Created.”  Of course each of us shares a shard of the Consciousness of Sustainability and a shard of the Consciousness of Authenticity, so we Feel this Change through those Channels. 

As for the chart of the Initiation, it features Makemake and Neptune Stationary, and Eris Initiating Juno.  That’s a bit heavier, more like “Wow, this Cycle’s going to be a doozy.  By focusing on the Beauty of what you’ve Created, you’ll Manifest the Vibration that you Want.  It’s better to do this without direct Conscious Intention, so the Ego interferes less, as your Consciousness is due for Revelations that may feel like a Shock, and you don’t want to Resist.”

In the case of the more Profound (it spans eight years rather than one month) Eris-Juno Initiation at 9:30 pm PDT 17 June in 24 Aries, the Sabian Symbol is “Blown inward by the Wind, the curtains of an Open window take the shape of a Cornucopia.”  Which says to me that, if we can Avoid the Problem-to-Be-Solved Reaction to our Neptunian Confusion, we will be opening up to great Abundance around our Lifelong Unsatisfied Longing.  If you contemplate that for a few minutes, I’ll wager you’ll find that you already have.

By the way, when we’re referring to the Cycle, we put the faster (Ego) planet first, because it’s zipping ahead of the slower planet and in the process Acting Out the Cycle.  When we’re referring to the Initiation, we put the slower (Soul) planet first, because it’s the one providing the Shaktipat or assignment.  Of course which planet is Ego (faster) and which one Soul (slower) is relative; in the Moon-Ceres Cycle, Moon/Autheticity is Ego and Ceres/Sustainability is Soul, but in the Ceres-Jupiter Cycle, Sustainability represents Ego while Expansion/Jupiter plays the role of Soul.

And, given the recent New Moon, we’re likely to be working on old and new levels and layers of our Self-Sovereignty Issues.  Are we Manifesting What We Want?  What are the Hiccups in that process showing us about What We Still Need to Let Go Of?  Are we Compromising What We Want because of What Others Want?  Or because of What Others In our Personal or Karmic History Wanted?  Be Mindful that What We Want is always a Funhouse-Mirror Reflection of our True Mission.

As we move through this Intense span, Notice frequently What You’re Feeling.  How does it Compare to How You Want to Feel, or How You Expect to Feel when you Receive What You Want?  Are you Grounded?  Are you in Neutrality, or do you have Investments that Need to Bear Fruit before you can Relax into Acceptance?  If you’re Feeling Disappointment by recent Failures of Important Desires, how does your Current Disappointment Compare to your Past Disappointments about this?

You may find Remarkable Progress where there appeared to be crushing Disappointment.  As we “follow and develop our spiritual pathway of awakening and remembering our truth,” What We Want Changes, because We Change.  We Open to a wider Perspective and we see the World Differently.  Our Mission is the same, but our View of it is from a new place.  Celebrate the Shift.

20-25 Degrees

Aa apparent newcomer has written to ask about their many natal planets at around 20 Degrees, in response to our October 2016 suggestion that we begin working with these Degrees now, since they will be Lit Up when our Home Planet begins Her Big Reorg in the early 2020s – see https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2016/10/20/2020-b/ for our article and their comment. 

Of course, as we repeatedly point out, these Degrees continue to be Lit Up by many of our planetary Companions today.  As we write, one quarter of the planets we follow are in or adjacent to this Zone, which is only one sixth of the Zodiac wide.  It’s a useful question, so I’ll answer it…

Our approach is to intend to befriend the Unconscious because we Believe that the Power of the Ego is minuscule compared to the Power of the Unconscious, and because the Ego is usually Unconscious of that fact.

We also intend to work not with Qualities but with Energies and Relationships, and therefore we work mostly with what we call the “Angles,” though most astrologers would call them “Aspects.”  We prefer Angles because that’s what they are in plain language – the Angular Relationship between Planets (and other astrological Hot Spots such as the Nodes).

Unfortunately there is an astrological term “Angles” as well, meaning the Ascendant, Midheaven, etc., or the major House Cusps.  We can usually live with this ambiguity because we very seldom talk about Houses, since we write for the whole planet, and House positions vary with location.  Folks who commonly use the astrological term “Angles” may be confused by the way we use the word, alas.

Most astrologers I know would not argue that the T-Square (a third planet halfway between two planets that Oppose one another) is one of the most problematic Angular Relationships, largely because it usually seems to indicate a Sisyphean area where Success is not possible but the Compulsion to Keep Trying is unrelenting.  Consequently, the most appropriate keyword for the Ego’s Relationship to a T-Square seems to be Frustration.

We also Believe that, (1) on a Soul level, we Chose the Configurations of planets in our natal chart, because that’s what “We” (our Soul) wanted to “Work On” in the current Lifetime.  Many folks have difficulty with this concept; the easy path to it lies through shifting your Identity till you find a place from which it’s True.

We often also interpret the Configurations in our natal chart as (2) the specific Earth Energies where we Chose to help the Planet Heal. 

The first approach assumes that our Soul is using the Planet for its own Education, while the second approach assumes that we are in fact Cosmic Healers who came here to Help Earth Ascend.  Take your pick, though as usual, I recommend Both/And rather than Either/Or.

Since our reader has Uranus T-Square to their Nodes, I have no doubt that they’re in the latter category.

As Ascension Helpers, then, our T-Squares indicate the places where our task is to suck up all the Frustration (Fear, Anger, Despair, Separation, etc) that the Planet Feels, and Transform it (we are after all nothing if not Energy Transmogrifiers) into what the Planet Prefers to Feel (Joy, Bliss, Attunement, Excitement, Unity, etc). 

How do we know what the Planet Prefers to Feel?  Easy.  She and We are One.

Note that more or less implicit in that paragraph is that Emotions are not Personal, but more like Weather or a Virus.  We Attach our Identity to an Emotion when we Associate or Merge with it, which is usually part of our Karma, or, we would suggest, because we came here to Learn and Teach how to Detach our Identity from that Emotion (look up “Poor-Sweetheart” and “Held Emotions” in the Categories list to explore further).

So, in the planets our new Friend has listed, we’d go straight to the T-Square, Uranus Square the Nodal Axis.  The Egoic side of Uranus is Disruption, and the Egoic side of the Nodes is the Desire to Let Go of Karma.  So we would suppose that our Friend, on the Ego side, is (or was, if he’s since Grown) often Frustrated by Attempting and Failing to Let Go of sticky Karmic Patterns, or what we often call Self-Sabotaging Archetypes. 

For instance, our Friend might try over and over to walk a “straight and narrow” path, only to wake up and discover that they’ve strayed from it.  Or worse, they might find that other people are repeatedly screwing them over…

Now, let’s turn this around and look at it from the Soul’s Perspective.  First of all, what Uranus Disrupts is everything that Inhibits its Purpose. 

Since most of us were Programmed to Receive Truth from Outside ourself rather than Inside, the Karmic Ego will be constantly Frustrated by the Uranian Disruption of our frequent Attempts to ignore our own Internal Truth in order to be Loyal to our Programming and Programmers. 

Truth resides in the Heart, and it’s Different for everyone, so only by Programming someone to Trust their own Heart (Uranus) can Uranian Disruption be Loved as the Urge to Liberation that it is.

Now, again from the Soul’s Perspective, the Nodal Axis is not so much about the Desire to Let Go of Karma as it’s about a Decision over which Earthly trends to emphasize.  Contrary to the usual Interpretation, Karma does not Grasp Us, We Grasp It.  So all we have to do, to quote Paul, is to “Let It Be.”

The Signs will give us more specific information. Our new Friend’s South Node is in Aquarius and North Node in Leo, indicating that their Intended (Soul-level) path runs from Social to Personal Integrity.  Learning to Love themselves Unconditionally, for instance. 

Meanwhile, Uranus is in Scorpio, which is Fearless and Relentless.  So our Friend is likely to be Driven to stop at Nothing in their Effort to Learn and Teach Unconditional Self-Love.

Which is Fantastic!  Now, what if the Ego and Programming still get in the way and continue to Sabotage us with Downers?  (Which may never actually go away, just become more quickly seen through.)  Well, Reframing help a whole lot…

A T-Square Feels Like the Compulsive need to Achieve greater Perfection around some Goal.  In this Uranus-in-Scorpio case, that would be Permanent Soul Contact.  Or, if the Soul is Dismissed, then something like an Irrepressible Urge to Disrupt Untruth. 

But even the part about Permanent Soul Contact is the Ego and Programming speaking.  If you’ve taken graduate seminars in a good program, you probably Noticed that there are no “correct” answers, there are only “interesting” questions and examination of them that is thorough and creative.

That’s where you find the T-Square – on the Soul level you’ve Intended a Lifetime where you re-examine everything over and over again, with slight variations, each time from a slightly different Perspective, so you become uniquely qualified to Teach the subject, since you’ve Experienced it from all angles, inside and out. 

And of course the key to all that is Noticing that there are no “correct” answers and that your Perfectionist Quest, while essential, was not for the purpose that you earlier supposed.  That’s the way our Mission (North Node) operates – we have a Shadow to Pursue, till we pounce on it and Discover that it’s just a Shadow, like Ged in Earthsea.

Once you’ve done this Reframing, Frustration will continue to try to sneak back into the driver’s seat, and that’s where Poor-Sweethearting, Tapping, and PIAVAing (look them up in the Categories list and practice them) will be useful and Powerful.

The ultimate Goal for all of us is Unconditional Self-Love, so eventually you’ll be Teaching us all.  Which we eagerly anticipate!

Gauntlet III

“I’m really trying to sit back and remind myself that it’s only yet another layer of karma.  But oh my goodness, how am I going to get through this alive and in one piece? 

Or is the whole point of this to get broken into pieces and remould myself later…”

I hear ya!  There are a lot of Issues Lit Up, they’re all Heavy, and – fortunately – they all Complement one another, so if we can Hang On, there will be immense Healing going on.  One of The Most Important Things is not to try to Think It or Figure It Out.

Modulate the Heavy Emotions as best you can with Tapping, Kegels, Breathing, Poor-Sweethearting, and PIAVAs, especially PIAVAs that include some equivalent to “Loving and Gentle.”  Modulate the Regressions to other Timelines as best you can by repeatedly bringing yourself back to the Present Moment.

Whatever is Dominating your Experience, shift to a Different Modality.  For instance, if your Emotions or your Interpersonal Circumstances are barely (or even Not) tolerable, Ask yourself “What’s going on in my Body Physically?” and Focus there.  If you’re in Physical Pain, Ask yourself, “What Emotion would I be Feeling if I could do Emotions right now?”  If you Feel like the Goddess has Abandoned you, put your Attention on something Beautiful.

If you’re stuck in a Solutionless Hyperloop in your Mindbone, who’s the primary Other in the Drama?  Imagine holding a wardrobe Mirror up between you and them, facing them.  Hold it for a few minutes, to see if you Feel more Grounded, while you watch to see if they try to stretch tentacles around the Mirror (expand the Mirror), or try to “come around to the back” (use a Dome-shaped Mirror if you need to; Intend that it Allows Air in).  If the Mirror doesn’t help, try the second candidate for primary antagonist – living or dead.

If it’s a Arbitrary Authority that has you in its grasp, hold your Mirror up to whomever taught you to Obey that Authority more than your Own Instincts, Intuitions, and Intelligence.  If you’ve Personalized the Authority, Dare to hold the Mirror up to the vaunted Personage.  I mean, what would Jesus Do?  He Melts my Mirror and floods me with Love and Mirth.  What does your Air-Hero do?

As you can see, the Hylonome (Becoming Conscious of Codependence) Station (Strong Energy thereof) and the Saturn (The Most Important Thing) Station are in the same Zodiacal location and only a few days apart.  So The Most Important Thing is Becoming Conscious of our Codependence.  Codependence just means that we let someone else, or some Thing else (such as an Unconscious Archetype or Belief, or an Abstract Authority) make our Decisions for us, leaving us without Choice.  As we’ve seen Choice and Consciousness are pretty much synonymous.

We face three main tightly-coordianted Challenges here, in addition to Untangling The Most Important Thing from our Codependence (which is a Challenge, but not one we’re likely to Master here, as the two Energies are hopelessly Merged)…

• Facing Codependence as The Most Important Thing involves Ego Death (asteroid Nemesis Squaring the Hynonome-Saturn Stations – heavy lines)
• Healing Abuse involves Setting New Boundaries that Keep us Safe (Pallas T-Square on Orcus-Nessus Opposition – light lines)
• Making our Dedication to our Mission Sustainable involves Facing our Held Emotions (Nodal Axis with Ceres on the North Node – light lines)

As John Muir says, “The minute we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.”  I mean, these are really all the same Issue, just seen from Different Angles, and it’s an incredible Gift from the Universe to be able to Let them Heal One Another.  If we can stay out of their way.

So let’s look at the ways they Heal one another…

• The Ego Death-Codependence Conundrum is Embraced by two PIAVAs (the Nemesis-Hylonome/Saturn Square is part of a Trine Fez, and we deal with a Fez by attending to the diagonal Quincunxes)…
  • “I wonder about the Relationship between my Codependence and the Sustainability of my Mission” – Not Think about but Wonder about (Ceres-North Node Quincunx to Stations).  Sort of the way you Wonder about how in the devil that gorgeous, brilliantly colored Butterfly just crawled out of that brown turd-like valise!  (If you’re a biologist, Wonder instead about the Night Sky instead.)
  • “Ganishi, Please Remove All Obstacles to Reverting my Limiting Oaths with Loving and Gentle Ego Deaths” – our Oaths (such as “I can never tell anyone or he’ll Kill Mom”), if they are Limiting, are protected by Integration with Ego (Orcus Quincunx Nemesis)

• Our Like-It-or-Not Focus on Healing our Codependence (see above) AND our Attention to our Mission (see below) both represent Easy ways to Master our Boundary Challenges (Both Hylonome-Saturn, and the Nodal Axis, Trine-Bridge the Pallas T-Square on the Orcus-Nessus Opposition)

• Our Ego Deaths facilitate Movement toward Sustaining our Mission (Nemesis Trine-Bridges the Nodal Axis)

So being Loving and Gentle with our Ego Deaths turns out to be one of the Levers of Power.  PIAVAing that will help, because Ego Deaths aren’t an intellectual process, nor a Power-Over process – we’re attempting to Manipulate the Unconscious.  One of the most Powerful ways to soften an Ego Death is to recognize that “I’d rather Die!” and “I feel like I’m Dying!” are literally untrue as we usually interpret them.  We naturally put our emphasis on the Die/Dying part, whereas what’s really happening is that the accent is actually on the “I” part.

“I’d rather Die” means yes, an Ego Death would be preferable to Re-experiencing our Held Emotions and Traumas, which is great.  When we’re Conscious that an Ego Death is occurring, they’re Easy.  We just recognize that Confusion is the first sign of Growth, Accept the Confusion as an Emotion in its own right, without trying to Fix it, and bang, we’ve mid-wifed our New Identity.  It has some re-orienting to do, so a little Confusion will remain for a while, but we’re basically done.

“I feel like I’m Dying!” is just code for “Oh, there’s my Held Emotion!  Aren’t I Delighted to finally get that out in the Open where I can be Present and Loving with it, because hiding in the cave like it’s been, it Sabotages my Entire Life!”  Make that Reframe and you’re likely to feel tremendous Excitement instead, as you watch the detritus falling off of your Future Timeline.

Oh, one more thing.  Hidden in the chart are several light purple lines that make a wedge pointing at Vesta-North Node.  This is a “Quintangle,” a wedge make up of two Biquintiles (Learning to Break out of Dogma) and a Quintile (Learning and Teaching).  The object of the Lesson Plan is Sustaining our Dedication to our Mission, and the curriculum involves Beliefs (Vesta) and Confusion (Neptune).  Learn to regard the Emotion of Confusion as one of the Greatest Gifts you can Receive, as long as you Celebrate it without trying to “Figure it out.”
