Where I Live, the months go …April, May, Junuary, July, August… because May and July are usually quite warm, while June somehow often resembles January. Of course Mom planned this out to make sure the Strawberries get just the right combination of Morning Drizzle and Afternoon Sunshine so they Fatten up Aromatic, Firm but Tender and Super Sweet without that tacky Sugary texture that grinds your Teeth.

Well, at least that was true before the Chemists crossed them with Golfballs to improve their Shelf-life. Chemists, not generally being Highly Sensitive People, didn’t notice that they now Lacked Aroma, Tenderness, and Sweetness. But they did have the Shelf-life of a Golfball! Kinda like the famous Flavr Savr “Tomato” that was crossed with a Baseball and supposedly “Loved by Housewives” (whom they never actually asked), and survived as a Commercial Success for about a week and a half.

Traditionally, March begins our season of horizonal Big Tide-Spotless Bright White Puffball Clouds (Towering Cumulus) on a gorgeous Blue-Sky Background. This year the Sun is hesitating to leave Mexico, so at night it’s still in the 20s F, with Skin Chill factors of 10 below Reasonable. So Locals will recognize the “-uary” pun, while everyone else, Coincidentally, will probably think “Mortuary,” though most of the Victims of 2023 so far haven’t had nearly so formal a sendoff.

March 1, 2023 March 1, 2023, Damocles (Fear of Accountability) moves into Pisces (Letting Go of Emotional Baggage) until 22 August 2023. Till now, since December 1994, we’ve been concerned with our Accountability to Political and Social Rules, like our local zoning laws and our Relationships, especially with Neighbors (Damocles in Aquarius). These concerns have been Impacting us Emotionally, Triggering our Karma, since April 2021, during which time Damocles has been Dancing back and forth between Aquarius (Rules) and Pisces (Emotions). This Dance will continue till December 2025, when Damocles will enter Pisces “for good” (till its next Zodiacal Loop). With Damocles in Pisces, we will Suffer Mightily if we Fail to Accept Accountability for our Emotions. That means we stop Blaming them on other people, and Realize that, as Iyanla Vanzant tells us, An Emotion is Described by only One Word – everything else is a Thought About Our Emotions! If it takes us longer than two minutes to Let Go of an Emotion, it’s not Present-Moment, it’s Karma. Changing that Nasty Self-Sabotaging Habit must be our First Priority if we have any Hope of finding 5D, OR any Inner Peace. The 40-year orbit of Damocles stretches from 1.6 AU (Earth-Sun distances), just inside the Orbit of Mars, to 23 AU, just beyond Uranus. It spends about two thirds of its Orbit in Aquarius, which explains a lot about how Huper Politics has been so screwed up over the span of HisStory, and continue to be. Relate this to your own Personal History and Journal, and to your own natal chart: Damocles was or is or will be in Pisces during April-July 2021, March-July 2022, March-August 2023, March-September 2024, February-October 2025, and December 2025-May 2029. March 1, 2023, Arache (Grandmother Spider Who Weaves the Web of Life) moves into Aries (A New Beginning with a New Spiritual Agenda) till 3 May 2023. We can PIAVA that Huperity makes major Progress toward Learning to Respect Nature as the Source of Our Sustenance. With it’s 4¼-year Orbit, Arachne was last in Aries between January and March of 2019, when Greta started touring the World. In the upcoming Cycle, Arache will Dally most in Libra (most of 2025), where the World’s Social Order will Transform to the New Agenda, and in Capricorn (most of 2026), where the World’s Infrastructure will be Revised. 1 Aries is Single-Minded, Hard-Working, Opinionated.

March 2-19, 2023, Mercury (Awareness) will move through Pisces (Letting Go of Emotional Baggage), giving us a great Opportunity to Learn to Stop Mentalizing our Emotions. Emotions are best mined for Intuitions, but Studying the Sensations that Accompany them is a good Heuristic to help us Learn how to do that.

If there’s anything that’s Not Present Moment, ie, Not Real, it’s Stories. They have great Utility, but not for Letting Go of Karma, and if we Aspire to 5D we need to be Letting Go of Karma. They’ll be Back, but we Convert Flashbacks to Flushbacks by pushing the lever and Enjoying that Oh-So-Permanent Flushing Sound, if we’re Lucky enough to have Indoor Plumbing. March’s major Sturm und Drang occurs before the Ides. Here’s an outline of the program. We’re hoping that it will be warm enough for Popcorn to pop by the Ides…

¹ The Impact of astroEvents – Stations (which Strengthen the Influence of a planet), Angles between planets (which Merge their Energies in various ways), and Initiations (which Begin a New Cycle in the Merger of the Energies of two planets) – kicks in ahead of the time when they’re Exact (the times listed above) – usually a couple days for asteroids, and a week or so for other planets, sometimes more. This will vary a lot depending on what else is going on – the Bigger Events (Slower planets) can crowd out other Events, though if you look closely you’ll probably find the Influence of each. It also depends on whether the Eventful planet(s) are prominent in your natal chart, or the Event occurs within a few Degrees of one of your natal planets.

The primary advantage of Knowing about astroEvents, is that it enables us to Discriminate between astrological Energies and other Energies.

People also vary in how Sensitive they are to Energy in general. A friend once told me, “I’m always aware that This Too Shall Pass, but as an astrologer, you Know When it will Pass!” Knowing that an Energy is Temporary can Prevent us from making Decisions to Protect ourself from it. If we can’t Stand an Energy and don’t know that it’s “just” an astroEvent, we can make Decisions that become Karma if we Neglect to Let Them Go afterward. For instance, we might Blame our Resistance to the Energy of the Event on some Action we took earlier, and Declare “I’ll Never Do That Again!” Bingo! Instant Karma. We’ve just added another Limit to our catalog of Unconscious Limitations.

If we Know an astroEvent is happening, or happened, and we can Identify the Energy, we can Use it Purposively, or Just Let It Go. In that case, the Energy Fades Quickly after it’s Exact. If we don’t know it’s happening and we Act to Protect our Resistance to It, it can continue in our Life indefinitely, Creating most of the Difficulties we Experience with Life. Unwinding our Karma, to find our True Self and Allow Ascension, is just the process of Identifying and Letting Go Of our Unconscious Limitations. Our Programming is probably the best Clue to Identifying our Unconscious Limitations, as we would never have Allowed the Programming if it weren’t Karmic for us.

This Crystal was used by the twelve Apophylls to Practice their Intuition, which is why it’s called Apophyllite. You can see the Crystal on the left whispering bright Multidimensional Truth into the second Crystal’s Ear, and the Dubious look on the second Crystal’s Face as he rejects the Intuition because it would Betray his Programming. Truth always Shines.

Apophyllite is actually a Mica (note the …phyll… in the name), a “Phyllosilicate,” meaning that the Silicate units arrange themselves in Sheets, with tight bonds across the Sheet, and loose bonds between them, causing Micas to cleave into their signature flat Sheets or Chips. Most Crystals form in Clusters, but a Cluster of Mica Crystals is called a Book, because when the Sheets are stacked, that’s what they look like. As molten Stone cools and solidifies, the Minerals in the Soup Solidify at different rates. The most autophilic Crystallize first, often leaving Cavities between them filled with less autophilic Minerals. The rest of the Soup Solidifies on its own timetable, either filling the Cavity with a “Massive” form of the Mineral, or not filling it and leaving the characteristic Crystal shapes we Recognize.

Apophyllite has stronger bonding between Sheets than more Mica-Morphic Phyllosilicates, allowing it to form three-dimensional Crystals, which may break between Sheets. The Cations (positive ions of the Crystal Unit) are Potassium and Calcium. The Silicate Anion (negative ion of the Crystal Unit) is usually suffixed with Fluoride, but sometimes with Hydroxide (OH). Apophyllite also contains Water embedded into its Crystal Structure. Most Apophyllite is White or Clear or Milky. The green hue in this one is probably produced by a few Copper cations thrown in.

Charts of the Portals XV

In Charts of the Portals XII we were talking about the chart of the 28-29 September 2020 Saturn-Chaos Stations (The Most Important Thing Is to Look Beyond Your Perceived Limitations – If You Could Do Miracles, What Would They Be?) chart…

and its red-triangle Challenges (T-Squares), particularly the Saturn-Chariklo-Pluto Challenge (The Most Important Thing may be to Remember that any Sign of Self-Doubt will be a Red Alert that our Thoughts are leaning toward the Old Paradigm, just when we need to Remain Conscious that the Paradigm is Shifting and we need to Shift with it).

We were about to talk about the Complicated “base” of that Challenge, the Opposition between Mars-Lilith-Eris (Actively Rooting Out Places Where We Deny to Ourself that We Give Away Our Power) on one side and Sappho-Juno-Haumea (Rebirth into Greater Consciousness about the Unconditionality of Our Self-Love) on the other.  We were suggesting that this Opposition should provide Clues about Why It may be Difficult to Maintain Our Confidence that we can Respond Resiliently to the Big Changes that Are Going On.

It’s really Easy to dwell on the minor details of our Daily Lives and Miss the Big Picture, especially when we’re Enervated, as the Big Changes themselves are likely to do to us.  How many of us Understand after all what Kundalini Rising (Varuna-Karma in the Global Climate Change chart) is Supposed to Feel Like.  We’re Hypnotized by Big Pharma to reach for a Drug whenever we’re Uncomfortable, because they’ve made us Believe that Discomfort is to be Avoided at all costs.

If we looked to Cause rather than Symptom, we’d Know that we’re in the middle of a Huge Ego Death (which is why we sometimes feel like we’re “dying,” and occasionally wishing we were).  Rebirth – into Greater Consciousness about the Unconditionality of Our Self-Love – is the flip side of Ego Death.  Unconditional Self-Love includes always Loving whatever is Going On for us in the Present Moment.

Can we really Love Ourself Unconditionally while Aching All Over?  Well, that’s the Assignment.  Find the place in your Body where your Discomfort is Greatest, and just Focus your Attention on it Intensely.  Attention is kind of Love Step One.  Hold your Attention there.  Fear is Hard and Cold, Love is Soft and Warm.  Put your hand on your Discomfort and Warm it Up.  Imagine Softening around it.  When your Attention Wanders, bring it back.  When your Discomfort moves, which it will do, Follow it.  You’ll be Surprised by the Miracles you Create doing this.

Actively Rooting Out Places Where We Deny to Ourself that We Give Away Our Power isn’t much more Fun than Ego Death.  We have Ego Invested in those Places, often Deeply Invested.  Ego is very often Embedded more Deeply in our Body than our Teeth are, and you know how much Fun it is when someone Roots around Trying to Pull Out your Teeth.  If we Deny these Places to ourself, unless we’re Graced with Insight (which is entirely possible, given the astrology, but we’ll have to Recognize it), that means they’re Unconscious, so we’ll have to use PIAVAs to reach down into the basement and find them.

Since we’re working with Self-Love, you’ll want to add Lovingly and Gently to your PIAVAs.  For instance, a Theta might be something like…

“God/Goddess, Creator of All That Is, I Command that I Lovingly and Gently Begin to Recognize the Places Where I Give Away My Power, and that I Begin to Intuit How to Lovingly and Gently Claim My Power Instead.  It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done.  Thank You, God/Goddess.  Show Me!“

OOB Moons

How soon we forget.  The Moon goes “Out of Bounds,” increasing the possibility that our Instincts will Overpower our “Left Brains” and our sense of propriety, only every other decade, and even during its Out-of-Bounds decades, it’s only actually Out of Bounds (way far north or south of the Equator, furthur than the Sun ever goes) for a couple days every few weeks.  So all in all, over a lifetime, we’re talking less than 10% of the time.

Long-time readers will know that we consider our Comfort and Competence with different astro-Energies to be proportional to our Experience with them.  So as Individuals and as Cultures, we don’t have much Accumulated Wisdom around Moon Out of Bounds, because we haven’t had a lot of Practice dealing with it.  In my own limited personal Experience with them, a sort of Seething, Vulnerable, Hypnotizable Hysteria might be an appropriate description for them.  Your Emotions are Lit Up, and that makes it Easy for others to Manipulate them and you.

For instance, “9/11” was a quintessential Moon-OOB event.  The overreaction of Egos was about 200,000% percent, and the Manipulation that followed was centered around the association between Ego and Patriotism.  As a lapel button at the time said, “Oh well, I wasn’t using my Civil Rights anyway,” and the major provisions of the resulting Patriot Act are still in place almost 20 years later.

A major anthem of the 21st Century is “A flag turning into an Eagle turning into a Chanticleer saluting the Dawn” (the Sabian Symbol for the Degree of the Pluto-Chiron Initiation that occurred on 31 December 1999).  I interpret that to mean that the Competitive Tribalistic Nationalism of Huperity will undergo a Transformation of Perspective (Eagle as Far-Seeing) leading to it’s EnLightenment.  We’re obviously still working on that theme, as the Racial (BLM vs White Nationalists) and Community (the ridiculous “Freedom” not to wear a mask vs the Willingness to help Protect one’s Family and Community in the easiest, simplest way possible) elements of Competitive Egotism come to the fore.

The two major anthems we might choose for the third decade of the 21st Century would be “A soldier receiving two medals for bravery in combat” (the Sabian Symbol for the Degree of the Pluto-Saturn Initiation that occurred on 12 January 2020 – a Review would be useful), and “An old adobe mission in California” (the Sabian Symbol for the Degree of the Saturn-Jupiter Initiation that occurs on 21 December 2020 and begins the two-Century Digital Age).  I interpret the latter to mean major steps toward the End of Colonialism, and the former to mean major steps toward the End of the hierarchical Patriarchy and of Surrendering one’s own Sovereignty, and even of War as an Institution.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes we choose to amplify an astrological indication, and sometimes we amplify its opposite?  The reason we do this is because most of our work is about interpreting what’s going on in the Unconscious, and the Unconscious is not Dual like the Left Brain.  In the Unconscious, the other side of the Coin is as likely as the indicated side.  Since we Intend to Amplify the World We Want to Live In, we Choose the side which we believe will outpicture our Intentions.

So, we’ve recently discovered that we’ve been Denying (Eris), or Forgetting, the Moon Out of Bounds periods.  In July and August they spanned or will span…

• 8:30pm PDT 3 July through 5pm PDT 5 July,
• 6am PDT 18 July through 3:20 am PDT 20 July,
• 3am PDT 31 July through 9am PDT 3 August,
• 1pm PDT 14 August through 1:30 pm PDT 16 August,
• 5:40 am PDT 27 August through 9am PDT 29 August.

The 18-20 July OOB event amplified the Revelation (Eris Station) New Moon that we’re still deep within.  The 31 July-3 August OOB play will amplify the impending Full Moon that in turn pre-amps the 15 August Outpicturing of the Soul (Uranus Station) and the recent Demise of Victimhood (Chiron Station), as does the 14-16 August OOB Drama more directly.  The 27-29 August OOB event will likely be a Doozy, as it amplifies the amplification of Conversion of Fear to Power (Sedna Station), for those who even consider such a Conversion to be Possible.

 

Self-Love Full Moon

A few of the Players have changed Partners, but otherwise the chart for the 8 February 2020 (11:30 pm PST) Full Moon is identical to the lovely symmetrical chart for the 5 February Self-Deprecation Squall (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2020/02/01/possible-self-deprecation-squall/), which hopefully for youalls turned out to be a Self-Love Squall.

We still have a Major Challenge (T-Square) to our Unconscious Limitations (asteroid Vesta), which is always fabulous, as long as we Recognize that it’s our Limits that are Threatened and not our Ego.  This one will be more In-Our-Face than the mid-week event (the base of this T-Square is the Full Moon itself, which is a junior SuperMoon; the base of the 5 February T-Square was Sun/ Essence Opposing asteroid Lachesis/Conscious-Pattern-Breaking).

And while our Codependence or Self-Sovereignty was Challenged mid-week (T-Square to Jupiter and dwarf planet Hylonome), the Full Moon will Challenge our Wannas and Gottas (T-Square to Pluto) themselves.  This is about the New Bravery Zeitgeist (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2020/01/11/where-are-we-then/).  The more we Resist our Wannas and Self-Loving Gottas, the more we Resist our Brave New World (No matter how hard you Resist, Pluto always Wins).

Unfortunately, our Obsolete Self-Deprecating Gottas are often loaded with Guilt and other Brakes on our Journey into Unconditional Self-Love.  But if we override the Brakes and take a Self-Abusive Gotta too seriously, we could end up burning Bridges that we Need.  It would be a good time to PIAVA the best of both Worlds.  Maybe something like…

“God/Goddess, Creator of All Things, I Command a Loving and Gentle and Smooth Transition from my Old Scarcity Identity to my New Abundance Identity.  It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done.  Thank you, God/Goddess.  Show me!”

Midweek, our Sovereignty was Challenged by our Karma and our Self-Love (asteroids Karma and Sappho Opposing one another in the T-Square base).   Now we’re Challenged to End our Karma by Opening to “New” Information and Lovingly Expanding our Consciousness to Encompass It (asteroid Atropos/Consciously-Ending-Obsolete-Habits, dwarf planet Eris/Revelation-of-What’s-Been-Denied and asteroid Karma Opposing Stationary asteroids Juno/Growth-in-Consciousness and Sappho/Self-Love in the base of the T-Square).

The information we’ll be Receiving is “New,” in quotes, because we knew it all along, our Old Identity just didn’t Allow ourself to Acknowledge it.  This morning for instance, I discovered that when I’m interrupted while concentrating deeply, my behavior and tone of voice are “vicious.”  I didn’t know that.  In retrospect I can see it.  In the moment, all I’m trying to do is Protect the Space that I’m concentrating in (Channeling these posts, for instance, or juggling several tasks at once), so I don’t lose the plot.  Knowing this now, I can retrain myself to smile, raise a finger, and say “Please Wait?!?!” or the like.

The deed to the ranch is still Working with our Higher Powers, Guides, and Guardian Angels (Neptune as the key Player at the Apex of the Chrysalis and the Finger of God from Moon and Juno).  So it will behoove me to enlist them in this Behavior Change, with a Theta Command or other PIAVA, to make sure I stay Conscious for Interruptions while I’m Concentrating, because my Trance can obviously get pretty Deep in those circumstances.  I may even end up drastically Changing the way I use that Trance.  What if I could use if for Direct Healing?

There are three Stationary planets in this chart.  Sappho was Stationary on 5 February, and it loosely Conjoins the 8 February (10am PST) Juno Station.  The third Station, of dwarf planet Sedna/Converting-Fear-to-Power also occurs 8 February (7:30 pm PST).  Here’s the chart of the Juno and Sedna Stations…

The Juno and Sedna Stations Quincunx/Curiosity one another, and because the Sedna Station stretches the Sensitivity of the Juno Station, Juno Conjoins dwarf planet Haumea/Rebirth, making our Expansion of Consciousness potentially Life-Changing.

In these two extra-credit astroevents that accompany the Full Moon, the Big Challenge (T-Square) to how we Balance our Wannas and Gottas (Pluto) gets more complicated.  Now it becomes The Most Important Thing (it’s joined by Saturn and…), and it’s Critical to how we Balance our Self-Confidence and Self-Doubt (…dwarf planet Chariklo/Self-Assurance).

Since this is the Heart of the New Zeitgeist, it means that our Expanded Consciousness must Bravely Acknowledge Self-Doubt and Fear when they arise, so they can be Reframed into Confidence that by combining Vulnerability and Research we can Resolve the Doubt and Embrace the Fear, and no longer Introject Doubt into our Identity.  Wouldn’t that be the Cat’s Pyjamas!

These two events also add another Big Challenge, this time to our Skill with Ego Death (T-Square to asteroid Nemesis/Ego Death).  Of course we’re going to be working with Ego Death, as Transformative as these Challenges seem to be.  It’s a complicated Challenge (the base of the T-Square finds dwarf planets Chaos/Unlimited-Potential and Asbolus/Intuition Opposing Mars, dwarf planet Ixion/Forbidden-Genius, and asteroid Bee-Zed/ Transcendence).  Which means that, if we’re Willing to Let Go Of our Resistance to Ego Death, we can glimpse the Wonders that our Forbidden Genius can Manifest for us.

Finally, we need to Recognize that Converting Fear to Power is a strong theme here, and be Watchful for it.  Remember near the beginning of this post, where we mentioned our “Old Scarcity Identity?”  That’s Scare-City.   We need to trade it in on a Joyful New Abundance Identity…

Fortunately, our work Converting Fear to Power (Sedna Station), and both of the Big Challenges (Foci of the two T-Squares) – our Confidently Brave New Identity (Saturn-Pluto-Chariklo) and our Willingness to Endure Ego Death (Nemesis), are all joined at the hip with Great Grace (Grand Trine/ Impossibly-Good-Luck).  So we may not actually have to Endure the Ego Death – it may just “happen,” and we may sail through it with little or no Discomfort, as it did for my vicious Evil Twin this morning.  It will pay, though, to be Proactive (Mars).  Don’t sit on it, take a Deep Breath and Bravely start a conversation about it.

Well, as they say, “Trust but Verify.”

But then, according to our own previous post, aside from the main effect of 12 January’s Big astroevent about Transforming (Pluto) our Priorities (Saturn) to accommodate (Squared by) What’s Been Denied (dwarf planet Eris) – along with its embellishments (Mercury/Awareness, dwarf planet Chariklo/Confidence-and-Doubt) – the Big Challenge (T-Square) was about Trust (asteroid Eurydike), wasn’t it.  The Challenge to Trust was from the Veracity of the Shift (asteroids Veritas/Facts and Bee-Zed/Transcendence) and our Insights about the Incredible Scope of the Change (dwarf planets Asbolus/Intuition and Chaos/Unlimited-Potential)!

And that doesn’t even include what we Believe to define the context for the 12 January event (namely the 10 January Stations/Strength of Uranus/Soul-or-Consciousness which in Taurus is Descending into Matter, and of Eris/Revelation itself, along with the Eclipse/Illumination), which we might summarize as Huperity Becoming Aware that Matter has been Conscious all along.  Which is the Missing Core Belief in the Western Worldview that is Messing Up the Planet for Huperity and Everyone Else.

So unless Brenda has been reading this blog, which I very much doubt, her post is a remarkable “Coincidence.”  What I’ve been Feeling, myself, is quite a lot of Fear.  I’ve been working with it, Tapping and PIAVAing to get Grounded, but even then I’ve Lacked Clarity on a couple of Issues that seem Important.  Till this morning.  Then I remembered to Poor-Sweetheart myself –

“You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Scared, aren’t you.”

And Wham, suddenly there’s Excitement, tonnes of it!  Now I even Remember to Breathe, and to Kegel if necessary!

Where Are We, Then?

It’s a good time for an overview of what’s going on…

Most Important, we’re ending one 35-year (or so) Cycle and beginning another.  We use three primary sources to interpret the meaning of a particular Cycle as a whole…

♥ First, we use the natures of the planets involved.  Here we’re referring to the planet that symbolizes The Most Important Thing – our Priorities (Saturn) and the dwarf planet that stands for Transformation and The Primary Background Theme of the Times (Pluto).  Lest we ossify, our Personal and Political Priorities will need to Change when this Zeitgeist Changes.

Those with a significant Investment in the Old Cycle will Propagandize like crazy to try to maintain the fruitfulness of their Investment.  You can see this happening around the Decline of the Patriarchy.  Mainstream Institutions and captive media make it look like the Patriarchy is at its peak.  The next phase of greater Gender Balance may take a step backward for every two forward, but rest assured it’s on track to watch the Patriarchy crumble into the toxic slough of its own Hubris.

Feel free to Allow your own Investment in the Old Cycle to Feed you while it fades, but bear in mind that the Cycle is already Dead, so your profits will slowly Decline.  Your primary Efforts are better spent laying the Groundwork for your Investment in the New Cycle.  It will be a while before you hit paydirt, but you’ll have the advantage of being well prepared when the Market comes looking for you.  In the case of this New Cycle, the Market won’t fully hatch till 2028 (when Saturn reaches its Waxing Square to Pluto), but it will gradually increase till then.

A parallel Shift occurs when a planet Changes Sign.  For someone of my own vintage, the classic example was the Shift from when the Zeitgeist (Pluto) was in the Sign of Nurturance (Cancer), to when it moved into the Sign of Self-Reliance (Leo).  My parents and their peers could not understand how my own cohort could forsake Security (Pluto in Cancer) in order to pursue Self-Expression (Pluto in Leo, especially when Pluto was Out of Bounds, as it was off and on from 1938 till 1953.  The Shit hit the Fan in the 1960s, when many of these people reached maturity just as the New Uranus-Pluto Cycle was Born).

We’ll find similar Gaps between people, projects, and Institutions that are born in different Cycles of Zeitgeist-attuned Priorities (Pluto-Saturn).  How will these Differences Manifest?  We need to look at Differences in the natures of the Expiring and the Emerging Cycles themselves, which we glean from the second and third sources of interpretation…

♥ The second source of meaning is a Reading for the Degree of the Birth of the New Cycle.  (Outer planet Conjunctions will typically occur several to many times; their first Conjunction in the Cycle defines the Birth of the New Cycle.)  Like each of the twelve Signs, the 360 Degrees of the Zodiac also each have traditional meanings (commonly read through their Sabian Symbols, which were Channeled in the 1920s).

The Priorities-Zeitgeist (Saturn-Pluto) Cycle that’s Ending began in 1982 as “A person becoming aware of spiritual forces surrounding and assisting them” (the Sabian Symbol for the Degree of the first Conjunction of that Cycle, 28 Libra).  I doubt that Dick Clark or his clones will ever characterize the Zeitgeist of the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s as Awareness of Spiritual Forces Surrounding and Assisting us, but in retrospect I certainly regard exactly that as the Most Important Change in my own Life since the 1980s.

It was in the early 1980s that I had an office downtown, and was riding a bus across town on an errand when I sat down next to a young lady and just to make conversation, asked her what she “did.”  She said she was a “Psychic.”  I almost fell off the bus, I was so surprised.  I thought that happened only on television.  I signed up for a Past-Life Reading, and it literally blew my mind, because of the extraordinary Sensations of Limitlessness that I felt during the Reading, and that episode led to meeting my First Spiritual Teacher.

♥ So, what about the New Cycle?  Its Anthem is “A soldier receiving two medals for bravery in combat” (the Sabian Symbol for 23 Capricorn).  Now that is a Change of Zeitgeist.  I don’t think it needs to be about War, as we can be totally Brave in many other ways – standing up to the Bullies, Speaking our Truth, Keeping the Faith, Mediating Hopelessly Polarized Disputes, Praying for Lost Causes, Resisting War, etc.  While the Old Cycle fades from the mainstream, What We’ve Learned From It never goes away.

Over the last 35 years we’ve Learned that we not only don’t have to Do It All Ourself, but also that it’s simply Silly Egotism to think that we Do Any of It Ourself.  We are Transformers.  Our greatest Power lies in Directing the Show, in “PIAVAing” (see https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava-review/) the World We Want to Live In, in our Intentions.  The Material World is Created in the Image of someone’s Vision of it, usually the Vision of a lot of someones.  We need to Step Up and Take Command of the Role of the Visioner.  We need to do that for the Planet and All of its Residents.  We can be a Brave Soldier in that Endeavor.

For instance, we can help the Patriarchy Save Face as it Dies Out, so its Ego doesn’t have to Cling so tightly to its Illusion of Power.  We can thank it for holding the place together while we figured out the Next Step.  We can Lovingly and Gently demonstrate Power-With when we see people getting all tied up in Power-Over, to show them that there are other ways.

We can Create our own Institutions rather than beating our heads against the wall trying to take down the Patriarchy’s Institutions.  If we demolish an Institution, it creates a Power Vacuum that someone else can step into, and the Outcome is likely to be Worse.  Better to just Create a New Institution to serve Our Goals, one that will already be up and running, ready to step into, when the Old one faceplants.

♥ Our third source of interpretation for the Old Cycle is its Birth Chart.  On this score the Old Cycle’s 1982 Natality featured two major Changes (Squares).  First, the Movement from Victim of to Mastery over Materiality (Saturn-Pluto Opposing asteroid Karma, and Chiron Squaring dwarf planet Makemake).  I know, this is the exact period of the Decline of the US Middle Class, but not everyone has Learned to Accept the Assistance of the Spiritual Forces Surrounding them.  It’s also a period where more and more people have Realized that Abundance means Having Enough to Share, not Having More than Anyone Else.

The second Movement was from Hope to Trust (asteroid Eurydike Squaring Neptune), as we’ve Learned how to Communicate with the Spiritual Forces Surrounding us and how to Collaborate with them to Manifest What We Want.  The mass market edition of Shakti Gawain’s germinal book Creative Visualization hit the streets in 1982, just as the new Old Cycle began.  For the last third of a Century we’ve been Practicing for Ascending into 5D.  (Find more about 5D in Michael J. ♥ The Birth Chart of the New Cycle teaches us a great deal about preparing for the next 35 years.  The chart of the Zeitgeist–Priorities Initiation (Pluto-Saturn) itself gives us the Tools to be Aware of the Change (Saturn-Pluto Conjunct Mercury Out of Bounds), to make it Sustainable (Conjunct dwarf planet Ceres/Sustenance), and to have Confidence in it (Conjunct dwarf planet Chariklo/Confidence).  It also advises us that many Secrets that the Old Order kept Hidden will come forward into the Open (Saturn-Pluto Square dwarf planet Eris/Revelation).  We’re advised to Accept the Consequences of Aligning with Truth, rather than trying to maintain the Status Quo.

This chart also tells us that we want to Trust that New Facts will be Transformative, and Trust our Intuitions that the Future will be no Bigger than our Dreams for it (asteroid Eurydike/Trust T-Square to asteroids Veritas/Truth and Bee-Zed/Transformation Opposite dwarf planets Chaos/Unlimited-Potential and Asbolus/Intuition).  In other words, we need to be Creatively Visualizing a World that is Far Beyond what we would normally Want to Manifest.  Whatever you Want, make your Prayers and other PIAVAs much much Bigger and Better than that!  (For more detail about the New Cycle’s Natality, see https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2019/11/17/january-2020-iii/.)

♥ Astroevents are always embedded in Time, so any astroevent must also be seen through the eyes of What Else Is Going On at the time.  The Beginning of the New Zeitgeist-Priorities Cycle is Blessed with A Lot Going On, and it Goes Deep.  In our view, Saturn represents Ego.  The Mythological Saturn’s mother was Gaia, and his father was Uranus – Saturn was the child of Earth and Sky.  Saturn and his siblings were Titans, and were kept inside the Earth, where they caused Gaia pain.  Gaia asked her children to neuter their father to prevent further pain, and only Her last-born Saturn was willing to do it.

In our view, Uranus represents the Soul.  So the story is about Ego taking Control over the Soul’s Ability to Create.  5D is about Recognizing the Consciousness inherent in Matter, and Manifesting in Cooperation With Gaia/Nature and Uranus/Soul rather than in Defiance Of the Life Force in Nature and the Soul.  Saturn/Ego‘s own son Zeus was the father of the Patriarchy, with its focus on 3D Hierarchy and Power-Over rather than 5D Cyclicity, Equality, Interdependence, and Power-With.

Regular readers know that we consider the Influence of a planet to peak when the planet Stands Still in the Sky, as the outer planets do twice a year (when they turn Retrograde or Direct).  So we consider a planet that’s Standing Still in the Sky to have more Power in the moment than a planet that’s Beginning a New Cycle.  In other words, we regard the entire New Cycle to be Devoted to the Mission of a planet that’s Standing Still at the Initiation of the Cycle.

♥ Well, at the Beginning of the New Zeitgeist-Priorities Cycle, two planets were Standing Still.  The first was none other than Uranus/Soul, whose Mission at the moment is the Descent of Soul into Matter (Uranus in Taurus/Earth), which we can also invert and read as the Ascent of Ego into Soul, or into 5D.  Astrology doesn’t comment on the Nature of Reality, but only on the Relationship between Huperity and Reality.  So one way to look at the Mission of Uranus in Taurus, is as the Reanimation of Nature and the Earth by Hupers.

We can see the New Zeitgest–Priorities Cycle as offering “two awards for Bravery” in the Reanimation of Nature and Gaia.  Of course this is only one Interpretation.  But Matter Follows Energy, and Energy begins with Vision.  So this Interpretation can lead us toward 5D.  Other Interpretations can take their Visioners toward where they wish to go – more Power to them.  We don’t need to Compete with them; we can Co-Exist with them.  We don’t even have to be in the same Realities.  Many Holograms can occupy the same Space, if the concept of Space is even defined in such a picture.

The second planet that’s Standing Still in the Sky is the one that symbolizes Revelation of What’s Been Denied (dwarf planet Eris).  As we said before, this planet Challenges (Squares) the New Zeitgest–Priorities Cycle.  But if there’s one Denial that’s leading to the Destruction of Life As We Know It, it’s the Denial of our Awareness of Consciousness in Nature and the Planet, and in Her Myriad of non-Huper Entities.  We can Vision and Create 5D in spite of that Denial, but the more Energy can be dedicated to a Vision of Life Cooperating With Life, the more Suffering can be reduced.

Climate Change (the Conjunction of Quaoar/Survival, Pholus/Ability-to-Respond, and Aletheia/Truth-of-the-Heart) is in this chart as one of the Foundations for Self-Resolution (one foot of the Finger of God).  It could be that Climate Change will be the one Energy that finally Unites Huperity in the Awareness that We’re All in This Together.  The other Foundation is Memory (dwarf planet “OR10″/Intrusive Memories) – perhaps one of the Denials to be Revealed will be our Collective Memory of Atlantis.

The chart does Ask two things of us – that we Step Out of Victimhood (asteroid Moira/Fate-and-Choice Opposing Uranus, and asteroid Karma/Karma Conjoining Chiron/Despair-or-Miracles), and that we Stay Curious and Avoid Trying to Figure Out What’s Going On (the many Quincunxes in the chart).  If we covet those Medals, we just need to Bravely keep Speaking our Truth and Embracing the Life Force.  But we may find all this just Happening all on its own, while we just watch.

“In Aboriginal mythology, the lightning man, who looks like a praying mantis is known as Namarrkon (and other names).  He uses the sun’s power as energy, forming bright arcs of light across each of his shoulders….”

This Energy is what Western Civilization (and Western astrology), worshiping as it does the Ego, misinterprets as Destruction.  It’s astrological symbol is Thor’s Hammer or the Octile Yod, which we call a Mjölnir, preferring the Norwegian name for Thor’s Hammer, because “Thor’s Hammer” is so linked to Violence and Power Over.

We could easily argue that the Main Event here isn’t so much the dreaded 12 January 2020 Saturn-Pluto Merger (The Most Important Thing is our Transformation), but the 10 January Station of Uranus/Soul as it recruits the Power of Saturn-Pluto to support its Descent into Matter (Uranus in Taurus).  In other words, the Reanimation of the Planet and Nature, which is the Most Important Thing we can do to turn around the Neo-Atlantean Self-Destructiveness of Egoic Humans. 

Note that Western Astrology doesn’t actually purport to talk about our external affairs; it talks about our Relationship to External Affairs.  Which is to say, if Hupers Learned to Respect the Consciousness in non-Huper Matter (whether Animated or not) and thus in their mind and Heart Learned to Reanimate the Planet, that in itself would Shift the Planet immensely.

The Eclipse, while it’s near the Degree of Saturn-Pluto, occurs on the day of the Uranus Station.  Which is also the day of the Eris Station, which Reveals That Which Has Been Denied.  Westerners interpret the Descent of Soul into Matter through their training as Christians, but Everything has Consciousness, and just about everything here except Hupers wear their Consciousness Responsibly.

So, what Mjölnir Graces the Uranus Station?  The Station is Trioctile to each end of the Square/Challenge between Truth (asteroid Veritas) and the Merger of Self-Love (asteroid Sappho) with Growth in Consciousness (asteroid Juno).

“Okay, I named the Reality first, so you Lose”

…as in “[I did this] to stop a war, not start one” must have Learned The Art of War from a starving banker, or from a bigger Bully.  One named Roy maybe.

I’ve met several people, though, who also woke up on 1 January 2020 feeling quite Differently, and very Mellow (perhaps abetted by Mercury/Awareness Out of Bounds/Strong crossing Jupiter/Expansion).  So in spite of my Cynicism about Huperity I actually don’t advocate “Lending our Strength to that which we wish to be Free From.”

While Ascension requires knowing that We Are All One, it also requires Liberation from Attachment to what Other People do.

On 4 January (9pm PST) and earlier, the dwarf planet that symbolizes Manifestation (Makemake) is very Strong (Exactly Stationary in 7 Libra).  A friend of mine celebrated this by getting a rebate for a less-than-Perfect trip on an airplane – to the tune of $1600.  Maybe the rest of us weren’t Dreaming big enough.

On 6 January (1pm PST) and earlier, the asteroid that symbolizes Beginning New TimeLines (Klotho) is very Strong (Exactly Stationary in 5 Gemini).  Start a New TimeLine where you Imagine how you’ll Feel when you Receive a surprise, unexpectedly large, check in the mail.

Also on 6 January and earlier, our Held Emotions (the ones we’d “rather Die than Feel”) could Feel magnified (Jupiter Merges with the South Node).  Start a New TimeLine where you Imagine how you’ll Feel when you’ve Learned to meet each Held Emotion with Delight because you Realize that Bummers which we haven’t Learned to Love yet are running our Lives from the Unconscious.  Now that would Manifest as Abundance!

On 10 January (11:30 am PST) the Full Moon is a Partial (Penumbral) Lunar Eclipse.  We regard Eclipses to be about Illumination.  This one just happens to Light Up (Oppose) the Convention of Heavies (Stellium of Sun, Ceres, Saturn, Pluto, Mercury, and Chariklo in 22-25 Capricorn) that dominates 3-14 January.  Lunar events often act as Triggers for Bigger Events.  The Moon Opposes the Heavies one after the other from 2pm till 7pm 10 January.

On 10 January (5:30 pm PST) and earlier, the dwarf planet that symbolizes Secrets Long Hidden Being Revealed (Eris) is very Strong (Exactly Stationary in 24 Aries).  Since you’ve already Started that New TimeLine where you’ve Learned to meet each Held Emotion with Delight, you’ll meet any unpleasant Secrets with Excitement.  Well, what if you did.

I can always tell when the planet which symbolizes Soul (Uranus) is very Strong (Stationary) because I can easily Sleep when I’m Tired, but I don’t get Tired very much.  It gets Manic around here.  As long as I Realize what’s going on, it happens without the Depressive part.

Well, this planet that symbolizes Soul is also very Strong at 5:30 pm on 10 January, at the same time as the dwarf planet that symbolizes Revelation.  Yes, could also be Revelations.

Also on 10 January (3am PST), the asteroid that symbolizes Truth of the Heart (Aletheia) enters the Sign that means Just Fix It (Capricorn).  This could be a very Potent combination, Soul, Revelation, and Truth of the Heart all Lit Up at the same time.  I’ve been Feeling some of that already.  If you thought about it, you might be too.  You may not even have to think about it.

And then on 12 January (9am PST) and earlier, we get what many of us have been Dreading, the Merger (Conjunction at 23 Capricorn) of Saturn (Focusing on The Most Important Thing) and Pluto (Compulsion and Transformation).  If you find yourself Compelled toward something you’d rather Leave Behind, Transform it.  If we follow the Pattern of 2001, we may wait till the Ides of March to Feel the brunt of this Energy (Moon Begins Decade of being periodically Out of Bounds).

You might be very Surprised to find that Intention is all you need, especially since the Transformation of our Priorities (Saturn-Pluto) is Challenged by the Revealing of Long-Hidden Secrets (Square to the Station of Eris) and aided by Powerful Awareness (Mercury Out of Bounds Crossing Saturn-Pluto at 2am PST, before returning In Bounds at 7am PST).

It will be very important to be Mindful of Self-Doubt.  The dwarf planet that symbolizes Self-Confidence and Self-Doubt (Chariklo) sits just two Degrees past the Saturn-Pluto Merger, and it is also very Strong (Out of Bounds).  Our Awareness (Mercury) will be less Acute (no longer Out of Bounds) by 13 January (2am PST), when Awareness and Self-Doubt/Confidence Merge (Mercury Conjunct Chariklo) but our Self-Doubt/Confidence will still be very Strong (Chariklo Out of Bounds).

“1. This ‘Event that will Focus the Attention of everyone on the Planet and Change the World – as seen from Huperville‘ (which is what a Saturn-Pluto Conjunction means; think ‘9/11’ for instance) is seriously Challenged by (the “Square” between Saturn-Pluto and…) Revelation of That Which Has Been Ignored (dwarf planet Eris).

“2. Two planets are Outliers.  One way of looking at astrology would make those two planets the ‘Rulers’ of the entire chart.  The two symbolize Growth in Consciousness (asteroid Juno) and Our Instincts and the Feminine Perspective (the Moon), which are Very Strong (Stationary).

“3. In our historical and hysterical example of ‘9/11,’ the actual Saturn-Pluto event preceded the Earthly event by several weeks.  The Earthly event occurred when another astroevent which is very often a Trigger for larger events (the Moon, which began a new 11-year period of going Out of Bounds), which event can tend to make Hupers more Emotional, Triggered it.  That other event will repeat on the Ides of March 2020 (the evening, PST, of 16 March).

OOB Mercury

Formal and informal astrologers Learn early on about planets turning Retrograde.  We emphasize the Stations of the planets.  Those are the times when they’re slowed to a crawl, just before they stop to turn around and (from our Perspective here on Earth) start to back up, or turn around and go forward again.  We do that because we’ve observed that the impact upon us of a planet is strongest when it’s Stationary.  And it’s one of the best times to Learn what that planet’s Energy feels like.

But most of us are much less familiar with the influence of planets that are going Out of Bounds, or “OOB.”  That means they’re overhead at a position more than a fourth of the way from the Equator to either Pole (0.26 to be exact, or 23:27 Degrees of Declination, which for practical purposes is the same as Latitude; 23:27 Degrees is the maximum that the Sun moves north or south of the Equator).  Most of the planets rotate in a single plane around the Sun, so most of them don’t stray much from being overhead at the Equator.  But some do, and when they do, it changes their Dynamic, usually making their Influence Stronger.

Mercury (Mind, Communication, Short-Distance Travel) will be giving us an Opportunity to Experience this for the next several weeks.  Mercury goes Out of Bounds on 22 December 2019 (4pm PST), and stays OOB till 12 January (5:30 am PST).  Pay Attention to how this impacts your Young Life…

Do your Thoughts make you more Anxious than usual?  Less Anxious?  Are your Thoughts more or less Penetrating or Discriminating or Judgmental or Decisive or Prominent?  How does any of that make you Feel?  Is the News more Dramatic than usual?  Are you Reacting to it more Intensely than usual, or Feeling Detached?

What about your Communications, both those you Receive and those you Give?  Are they more or less Anxious?  Insightful?  Concise?  Forgiving?  Muddled?  Are you Communicating more or less than you usually do?  When you Communicate, is your Tone of Voice and Body Language Congruent with the Emotions you’re Feeling, and their Degree of Intensity?  More or less so than would normally be the case?  Are you being more Passionate or more Detached than usual with your Communications?

And how are you on the Road – driving, walking, bicycling, skating, sledding, skiing, running, riding the bus or train, or however you Travel on short trips?  More or less Attentive?  Distracted?  Rushed?  Relaxed?  How is traffic?  Faster or Slower?  More Crowded than usual?  More Confrontational or more Forgiving?  More or fewer missed Connections, flat tires, sprains, Collisions, tickets, detours, or other Difficulties?  Does Travel feel more or less Dangerous than usual?  How patient or impatient are you with any Travel glitches?

Mercury is never far from the Sun, so during this time it spans 21 Sagittarius to 23 Capricorn.  Those are very busy Degrees.  Mercury will be crossing many planets, and it we can Learn a lot about the planet and about ourself while Mercury’s Laser Light shines on them…
