Relationships 6

August 27, 2019

Then there’s the Chinstrap, which we’ve ignored so far.  It’s actually the most important part of the Configuration, though, because all of the Energy of the chart is channeled through it.  It’s about The Truthiness of our Boundaries (asteroids Pallas and Aletheia).  We were all Programmed to Give Up our True Self to some extent, so we all Fake It on occasion, some of us on more occasions than others.  Some folks don’t know how to do otherwise.

So we often have “good reason” to put our Boundaries Looser or Tighter than we we like to, for “practical” purposes.  Maybe we Believe that “that’s what Love is,” or that we’ll be Abandoned if we Offend someone, or if we demonstrate too much Closeness.  We all have Abandonment and Suffocation Patterns to one degree or another, and we often set our Boundaries where we wouldn’t Prefer to, in order to Protect our Abandonment and Suffocation.  Often we aren’t even aware that we’re doing this, we just notice that our Boundaries take a lot of Maintenance.  Truthy Boundaries are Effortless to Maintain, because it’s all Instinct.

Just to remind us that this is how Boundaries should be, there’s a blotch on one side of the Fez, in the form of Trust (asteroid Eurydike).  This blotch actually Challenges the Truthiness of our Boundaries (Square to Pallas-Aletheia).  It Asks, “Are we going to Trust our Instincts around Boundaries, or are we going to Betray ourself?”

Gordy’s Knot Merit Badge #3

May 29, 2019

A T-Square results when two planets are on Opposite sides of the Zodiac, and a third planet is halfway between them.  It’s generally considered the most difficult astrological Configuration, because it Challenges us to overcome Frustration and Disappointment (which are caused by our inappropriate Expectations) and replace them with Excitement about the very Broad and very Subtle Experiential Education we’ve Committed ourself to.

The two planets that Oppose one another set up a Ritual Belief that is Obsolete, and the third planet takes the role of a Hammer attacking our Obsolete and hence Fragile glass-covered Ritual.  Fearing the mess that the resulting Fire Alarm will create, we hesitate to wield the Hammer.  Yet, every time we do, we find the Outcome Life-Changing, Opening us to Worlds we didn’t know could Exist.

Let’s take an example from this weekend’s chart, which contains three T-Squares or Challenges…

In the first of the three Challenges, the Obsolete Ritual Belief is that Self-Flagellation, under the Guise of “Analysis” or “Healthy Self-Criticism,” can Resolve the Frustrations we encounter about our Sovereignty.  That is, we’re unhappy with our remaining Codependence, or the way we give other people’s Feelings more weight in our deliberations than we give to our own Heart’s Desire.  That is, our Self-Abandonment is Feeling Burdensome.  We seek a way to Change ourself that will reduce our Self-Abandonment.

The Problem with this Approach is that “What we See is What we Get” – we’re trying to Change a Leopard’s spots to stripes.  The Hammer that will shatter the Status Quo is Facing the Truth that our Boundaries aren’t Working.  We don’t need to Change our Self, we need to adjust the way we Relate to Others.  We may need to Tighten Up Boundaries that bleed away our Energy, and Loosen Up Boundaries that Inhibit our pursuit of our Heart’s Desire.

That could be Difficult, as Tightening Up Boundaries that bleed away our Energy may severely test our Charisma, and will probably Hurt some people’s Feelings.  And Loosening Up Boundaries that Inhibit our pursuit of our Heart’s Desire may well be Scary.  I mean, if it’s our Heart’s Desire, why haven’t we been pursuing it All Along?  We may, for instance, have to Disobey a parent to pull this off, even if we’ve been an adult for decades.

Here, “the Obsolete Ritual Belief is that [Changing ourself] can Resolve Frustrations about our Sovereignty” is symbolized by the dwarf planet Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty) on one side of the Opposition, and on the other side the combination of Mars (Action or Anger) and asteroid Nemesis (Guilt or the Threat of Ego Death).  The third-planet Hammer in this T-Square is the dual Station of asteroids Pallas (Boundaries) and Aletheia (Truth).

Ancestors Full Moon (Boundaries V)

February 17, 2019

Better put out a dozen extra place settings.  The Ancestors are coming for dinner, and they’ll be staying for a while.  The 19 February (8am PST) Full-Moon Sun, on the Cusp of Pisces, is joined by the Initiation of Klotho (Beginning a New Timeline) by OR10 (Intrusive Memories) at 4 Pisces, “Heavy car traffic on a narrow isthmus linking two seashore resorts.”  The Klotho-OR10 Cycle runs about four years.  The Initiation itself occurs 18 February (7:30 pm PST).

It would Behoove for us to Welcome the Ancestors.  Even though we may not be able see them, their Vibes are higher than ours, which means that they can play tricks with Matter when Displeased or Misjudged.  It will be excellent Practice anyway, Reverting all of our Judgments about them.  It’s more than likely that they Judged you, since most Ancestors have Expectations for their Spawn, while Spawn tend toward Rebellion.  So we’ll have to Intuit what their Positive Intentions were, and Honor them for that, instead of Judging them.

If that’s Confusing, just Ask them – “Why did you do that, anyway?”  Once we Understand where they were coming from, they might even Ask us how we see things Differently.  If they don’t, no worries, since this is “only” our Imagination  (if you haven’t read Robert Moss’s The Three Only Things,” this would be a good time).  We may as well tell them anyway, since we’ll be Obsessing on it and they can read our mind.  If we ever want to get to Unconditional Love – a Precondition for Peace, Grace, 5D, a rewarding Love Life, and low-interest Credit – we’ll need to Revert all of our Judgments, so we may as well start here.

The Full Moon makes a T-Square (Challenge) to Juno, which represents the Edges of Consciousness, or Growth in Consciousness.  Reverting Judgment is an excellent way to Raise our Consciousness.  In addition to being very useful now, with all of these Ancestors visiting for the next few years, it’s very timely because the Juno T-Square is a Diamond Star, so it’s Self-Resolving.  Self-Resolving Challenges are the best kind – we just need to be careful to Learn from them, rather than taking them for Granted or using them to fluff up our Ego.

A Diamond Star is composed of a T-Square (the red triangle, meaning a “Learning Opportunity,” aka Challenge) and a Finger of God (the grey-green wedge, meaning Pay Attention!) both pointing at the same place.  As you can see in the chart below, this results in a web of blue lines below the long red line (Opposition and base of the T-Square), and blue lines symbolize Grace.  So the Challenge Resolves itself Gracefully.

Well, usually Gracefully.  In this chart, the base of the Finger of God – the source of the Grace – is very complicated, so we could still screw it up.  The Grace derives from…

Asteroids Aletheia and Pallas, Truth and Boundaries.

Both of which are Stationary, aka Strong.  Pallas’s Station is Exact 18 February (8:30 am PST) in 30 Libra, and Aletheia’s 23 February (3am PST) in 28 Libra.

For Benign Ancestors, we need only relax our Boundaries against things we can’t see.  If they want through and you won’t let them, they’ll just escalate and make it more difficult to ignore them.  Invisible doesn’t mean Not Real.  You may need to Suspend Disbelief, or shift from Either/Or to Both/And, to find this Truth.

For Abusive Ancestors, Boundaries are very tricky.  You can’t let them Walk all over you (or worse) again, but you have to find a way to Meet them as Equals, and there may still be a lot of Emotion in between.  We’ve been practicing this a lot over the last several years, as OR10 has been traveling with Nessus (Abuse, Privilege).  While Ancestors can no longer Abuse you Physically, they can still Abuse you Emotionally.

Poor-Sweethearting, Tapping, Kegels, and various kinds of PIAVAing (leave a comment if any of these terms is new) can be very helpful, but our goal has to be more than Overcoming our Emotions.  At some point we need to Move Into those Emotions.  It may help to Locate them in our Body, and put as much of our Attention as we can muster into that place, and hold it there until it moves on its own.  Eventually we’ll need to Love them into Neutrality.

Trust that it is Possible to set a Boundary that’s fully Non-Judgmental and fully Protective.  But it may take a lot of Trial-and-Partial-Success (discovering what doesn’t work is a significant Success) and a lot of work Self-Loving all manner of our own Emotions to get there.

The Stellium (group of three or more planets) of dwarf planet Ixion (Natural Genius for which we have been Punished), asteroid Eurydike (Trust), and dwarf planets Pholus (Being Fully Responsive without Sacrificing Self-Sovereignty), and Quaoar (Survival Instincts).

We’ve been working with this one already.  It’s easy to dismiss Survival Instincts when Social Convention is more Powerful – we don’t want to be Chicken Little.  That’s how Global Warming gets Denied.  The larger point is that each of us is Endowed with a Unique Genius, and when these many Unique Genii are assembled in a Team, we can accomplish Anything.  But overcoming our Programmed and quite possibly Karmic Resistance to our Genius is one of our most Challenging tasks in Life.

Ixion is still in Sagittarius – the other three Players are in Capricorn.  Sagittarius is about Burning Away Untruths.  Ixion was in Scorpio from 1965-1995; that’s when we were most likely to have been Punished.  It’s been in Sagittarius since 1996, and we’ve been working on Letting Ourself Be Who We Really are ever since.  Slowly at first, then gradually accumulating Self-Trust.  A year from now Ixion moves into Capricorn (Just Fix It) – we’ve got about a year to practice letting our True Genius peek out.

It’s been Locked Up for a long time, so it’ll be clumsy when it Emerges.  We have to be gentle with it, Allowing it to appear Inept at first, till it grows Accustomed to the Light.

As the orange triangle on the chart above maps out, the Moon-Juno Square is the root of a Mjölnir (Epiphany) to the 18 February (3am PST) Saturn-Venus Initiation.  Venus-Saturn Cycles in general are about Reviewing our Values.  The ultimate Source of our Values is the Heart, but we Betray ourself to the extent that we Allow our Mentality or our Programming to direct our Life.  So each Venus-Saturn Cycle brings us the Choice to either Betray our Programming or Thinking and move toward the Heart, or to Betray our Heart again and Revalidate our Programming and Rationalizations.

Any Cycle is very Strong at its Initiation.  This Venus-Saturn Cycle lasts till December.  Its Initiation Degree informs us about its specific nature – 17 Capricorn, “A repressed woman finds a psychological release in nudism.”  Sounds like an excellent adjunct to help us Finish Stripping the artificial Costumes and Masks and Subterfuges that hide our Unique Genius.

One of the things we can do Safely to aid this Coming-Out process for our Ingenue, is to Stop Judging, Doubting, or Punishing Ourselves for our Genius!  If we can do that, She can step forward with more Confidence when She does.  Of course She may be a He, but more likely She’ll be Both/And.  If She’s still in hiding and you’re not sure Who She Is, no worries, just Stop Judging, Doubting, or Punishing Yourself for Anything!  That’s where we have to go eventually anyway!

There’s a whole lot more in this Full Moon chart, including a second Diamond Star!  To be continued…

Consciousness Expansion II

December 23, 2018

The 23 December (7pm PST) Juno Station (21 Taurus) chart looks like this…

Its main feature is a Grand Cross (the red square), which occurs when four planets are more or less evenly spaced around the Zodiac.  While a Grand Cross is made up of four T-Squares (the four overlapping big red triangles), and a T-Square Challenges us to become Adept at something, a Grand Cross is usually a little easier because, being Balanced, the Lessons usually aren’t as Difficult.  Also, the Challenges are frequent and interrelated, so with additional and more varied practice, we’re likely to become Adept sooner – and particularly Adept at Multi-Tasking.

The four T-Squares here focus on…

  • Eris (Emerging from Denial)
  • Moon-Moira (Learning to Choose our Emotions)
  • Aletheia-Pallas (Accepting the Truth about how well our Boundaries serve us)
  • Pluto-Chariklo (Having to Confront our lack of Self-Confidence)

I’m sure every one of you could write a short play about someone Getting Their Consciousness Expanded (that’s Juno after all) by having to deal with the likes of…

Realizing (Eris) that their Life is being Sabotaged by lack of Self-Confidence (Pluto-Chariklo), Learning to Recognize the Emotions that Trigger their Self-Doubt (Moon-Moira), and Setting Boundaries to Prevent these Emotions from Fragmenting their Personality (Aletheia-Pallas)

…or something like that.  I’m sure most of us could write a short story about when we’ve gone through this process ourselves, which we’ve probably done many times.  Like when the school bully called us names that hurt, and our Mentors encouraged us to find alternatives to running home in tears or taking a swing and getting our ass kicked.

Sticks and stones and all that, pretty fundamental stuff, but I’m sure you can think of far more subtle parallels.  It would Behoove us to think up current situations where Certain Emotions Challenge our Ability to Keep our Act Together, as every astrological adventure is an Opportunity to make Life flow more smoothly, and this one is no exception.  If we could become Conscious of those Emotions and Learn new Responses to them, chances are we wouldn’t just be Expanding our Consciousness, but also Letting Go of our Karma.

For instance, what Triggers Anxiety for us?  Nothing is Manifested into Hardcopy Reality without first being Broadcast as Energy – this is the Power of PIAVAing.  What Anxiety does is Broadcast Fear and Failure.  Without our Conscious Intervention, Fear and Failure could then be Manifest into Form.  We could recast our reading as…

Realizing (Eris) that our Life is being Sabotaged by Anxiety (Pluto-Chariklo), Learning to Recognize the Emotions that Facilitate it (Moon-Moira), and Resolving to Prevent it from Creating our Reality (Aletheia-Pallas)

…by for example, by first Tapping on it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVd6Ww0as4) to Acknowledge it Honestly, and then Focusing on What We Want instead of What We Don’t Want.

Another example…

Suppose we don’t Trust our Instincts (Moon-Moira) to tell us what to Eat, so we set Boundaries against the Truth (Alethiea-Pallas) of our own Instincts (Moon) in order to continue to base our Self-Confidence on our Shoulds (Pluto-Chariklo) – till we Realize (Eris) that it’s not Working

So what would we do next?  We Respond to our Realization and Expand our Consciousness to include new Possibilities.  For instance, if we Lovingly Embrace our Desires when they arise, might we have less Difficulty Moderating them, and perhaps in the process Discover what our Soul Intended to Teach our Ego in the Current Lifetime?

A Trine Bridge (blue lines) shows an Easy Path toward becoming Adept and a Quincunx Bridge (green lines) outlines a Path of Curiosity.  Both are alternatives to following the more-Challenging paths of the Squares (red lines), without abdicating the invaluable Lessons to be Learned from the Challenges.  Same Destination, very Different Routes.

The position of Stationary Juno itself makes a Trine Bridge across the Confidence/Emotion-Choice axis (Pluto/Chariklo-Moon/Moira), and a Quincunx Bridge across the Realizations/Boundaries axis (Eris-(Aletheia/Pallas).  We can Learn faster…

However, most of us are used to thinking of Curiosity as something to Resolve.  “I Wonder What…” or “I Wonder How…” is often an invitation or imperative to do research or to think about what sort of Answer we’d get if it was a Question.  True Curiosity does not seek Satisfaction; it is more than content to remain Curiosity.  Think of it like Awe or Amazement.  Like watching a Bird peck its way out of an Egg, or a Butterfly crawling out of a Chrysalis – literally a Miracle.

You’re wide-eyed and your mouth hangs open, but you don’t try to explain what’s happening or why, or to Generalize it into a Judgment, whether Good or Bad.  What if we Responded with wide eyes and a slack jaw the next time we heard someone insult us.  If they continued to insult us – if we were Safe, of course – we might even have to Laugh.  A friend used to say, “Don’t get Even, get Odd.”

Stationary Juno is also Merged with (Conjunct) asteroid Lachesis, which symbolizes Consciously Changing our Timelines.  For instance, if we were Living a Timeline of being Bullied, and we succeeded in Changing our Response to it, we would be Consciously Ending that Timeline, or at least Beginning to Consciously End it.

There’s another Configuration in the Juno-Station chart, another Mjölnir Kite like we had at the 22 December Full Moon (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2018/12/20/dumpster-fires/)…

When a planet sits at the Far Midpoint between two other planets that are three Signs apart, a Mjōlnir is formed.  Mjōlnir is Norwegian for “Thor’s Hammer,” the usual name for this Configuration.  We changed it because Thor’s Hammer is often confused with Ultimate Destruction, when actually it’s more about Indestructibility and Instantaneous Precision – not a sledgehammer but Lightning, or Sudden Illumination.  So we associate a Mjōlnir with Epiphanies.  When there’s also a fourth planet at the Near Midpoint, the Mjōlnir becomes a Mjōlnir Kite.

The Mjōlnir Kite reinforces our earlier interpretations of the Juno Station – Epiphanies about our Mission and our Held Emotions (North and South Nodes).  We would normally rather Die than Feel our Held Emotions, as our Experiences in Parallel Lives cause us to strongly associate them with Dying.  But we can’t proceed toward our Mission in the current Lifetime without first Learning to Embrace our Held Emotions.  So the Aletheia-Pallas Conjunction in the Juno-Station Grand Cross is also about Relaxing the Boundaries which keep our Held Emotions at bay.

The Square (red line) in the Mjōlnir is between Neptune (Confusion) and Mercury-Jupiter (Precociousness).  The Juno Station is about Growth in Consciousness, and this Square Illuminates the classic impediment to Growth – regarding Confusion as a sign that we need to struggle mightily to Understand!  Actually, when we Believe we’ve Understood why we’re Confused, we’ve just Quashed our Growth!

Our Concepts about What Is and What Isn’t Possible form a Cage that we’re trapped inside of.  Confusion arises when one of our Limiting Beliefs becomes Open for Questioning.  But if we Intellectualize it (Jupiter-Mercury), we’ll invariably Reinforce our Limiting Concepts, because those are the raw material for our thoughts.  Like Curiosity, we need to Let Confusion Be.  If we regard Confusion as an Emotion, and just Feel it, Embrace it, Enjoy it, our Consciousness will Grow on its own, naturally, without Effort.

December 8, 2018

The other simple Conjunction in the Orcus-Station chart is the 4 December (2pm PST) Initiation of Pallas (Boundaries) by Aletheia (Truth) at 13 Libra, “Children blowing soap bubbles.”  Since Pallas (4.6 years) and Aletheia (5.6 years) have similar orbital lengths, Pallas can chase Aletheia around the Zodiac for about 23 years before they Initiate a New Cycle.  We’ve been in the Old Cycle since 1995.

The basic Pallas-Aletheia Cycle is about how well our Boundaries serve us.  Do they keep us Safe while Letting In the Lessons we need to Expand our Consciousness?  Do they Eliminate Threats to our Life while Allowing our Ego Deaths?  Are our Boundaries True, in other words.  Since 1995 we’ve been judging our Boundaries by “A gardener trimming large Palm Trees” (25 Gemini) – a True Boundary has been one that looked presentable to polite company.

Now we’ll get to Play with them instead, and if we get bored with them, we’ll just pop it or send it away, and blow another one.  One of the implications of wearing Boundaries like hats, is that we could end up pretty Vulnerable.  How do we stay Safe?  One way is to recognize that our Core Identity is actually neither Ego nor Matter, but Energy.  I’ve seen kids using the Wind to blow hula hoop-size soap bubbles.  They’re as big as the kids, they take on all manner of shapes, and they can be pretty durable.  Identifying ourselves as indestructible and infinitely flexible Energy Fields is a big step toward 5D.

The Stellium at 9-10 Capricorn in the Orcas-Station chart Initiates six Cycles.

Capricorn 8, “In a Sun-lit home Domesticated Birds sing joyously” is where the 12 September (4pm PDT) Initiation of BZ509 (Transcendence, 12 years) by Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty, 128 years) occurs.  This would be a Cycle of about 13-14 years.  It’s easy to imagine ourselves Singing Joyously in Sunshine after we’ve Transcended all Obstacles to our Self-Sovereignty, though the Domestication is worrisome.

Domesticated Self-Sovereignty is a bit of an oxymoron, even if we may not want to be feral.  Perhaps we can think of the Birds as “Tame” instead.  If we’re living Collaboratively with Nature, we’d all be Tame to one another.

Three Cycles Initiate in 9 Capricorn, “An Angel carrying a Harp.”  That’s a Symbol we can accept without much argument.  These three are…

  • The 5 December (12am PST) Initiation of BZ509 (Transcendence, 12 years) by Saturn (The Most Important Thing, 28 years), starting a new 15-16 year Cycle.  This bodes well; the next 15-16 years could be difficult, so if Angels will be facilitating our Attention to Transcendence, sign me up.
  • The 6 December (9pm PST) Initiation of asteroid Karma (Self-Sabotaging Habits, 4.1 years) by BZ509 (Transcendence, 12 years), a 5-6 year Cycle.  Again, no objection at all to Angels helping me Transcend my Karma, even if it’s only for half a decade.
  • The 7 December (3am PST) Initiation of Karma by Saturn (The Most Important Thing), also a Cycle of about five years.  And I don’t mind if The Most Important Thing is Attending to my Karma (what else is new?) when I have Angels helping out!

Capricorn 10, “An Albatross feeding from the hand of a sailor,” is the home of the 11 December (7am PST) Initiation of Karma by Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty), a five-year Cycle.  Another Tame Bird, this one helping us blow away Karmic impediments to our Liberation.

We don’t incur the last of our six Cycles until 25 December (11am PST), at 11 Capricorn, “A large group of Pheasant on a private estate.  It’s the Initiation of Saturn by Hylonome, at about 35 years the longest Cycle of the bunch.  Birds again, not Domesticated, but unless the private estate is a hunting club, Living in relative Safety.  The Cycle is about The Most Important Thing being Transcending Codependence.  It wouldn’t hurt us a bit to Transcend the perceived need for private estates and return to the Commons.

Wow III

December 6, 2018

The 6 December Mercury Station (1:30 pm PST, 28 Sagittarius) and the 9 December Chiron Station (12am PST, 28 Pisces) share the same basic chart as the Uranus-Nodes T-Square in the previous post.  Which leaves two wild cards in our 1-10 December Time Province: the 7 December New Moon (12:30 am PST, 16 Sagittarius) and the 10 December Orcus Station (4am PST, 12 Virgo).

All of which kind of leaves dwarf planet Orcus calling the shots here.  Orcus is about Making and Breaking Oaths.  Most of us would probably habitually recoil at the idea of Breaking an Oath – after all, can we be Trusted to keep our Promises, or not?  Not is a cardinal sin in Patriarchal Society.  But remember that Uranus (Soul) is Squaring the Nodes (our Lifetime Path), and one of our Interpretations of Uranus is Yintegrity.

Yangtegrity means that we do what we said we were going to do.  Yintegrity means that we do what we Intuitively Feel like doing, moment to moment.  To Live Yintegrity in a Yangtegrity World we’ll probably need to minimize our Commitments, Renegotiate often, and Make Amends when Renegotiation isn’t possible and the Relationship is worth keeping.

But once we crawl out from under the Patriarchal thumb (ie, when we move to 5D), we’ll all do Yintegrity.  It’s hard to conceive of that working out smoothly because our Dualistic minds still think in Patriarchal terms.  When everyone runs their Life from Multidimensional Intuition instead of Dualistic Intellect, no worries; we’ll all be in the Flow and everything will mesh smoothly.  Not Imaginable?  Better start Suspending Disbelief if you aspire to a Collaborative, Cooperative, Non-Hierarchical Life.

Suspending Disbelief is an important Skill for Allowing Growth in Consciousness.  Practice it frequently.  It’s also important for Letting Go of Judgments and Achieving Unconditional Respect for All Things.  Love fades when Judgment replaces Curiosity, and Love Is All There Is – the rest is Deception and Illusion.

What’s an Orc in Tolkien’s World, after all?  It’s hardly a knight in shining armor or a beautiful princess.  These Orcean Oaths, especially the ones we’ve Forgotten, are the roots of our Limiting Beliefs.  And as we pointed out in the last post, it’s not that the Universe is Limited, it’s that The Emotions We Don’t Want to Feel Limit our Experience of the UniverseOaths make Ogres out of us, because we end up Valuing Loyalty to an Abstraction more than we Value Trusting our own Heart.  Which is a serious Self-Abandonment.

All of which is why we talk more about Breaking Oaths than Making them, especially those Oaths we’ve Forgotten we made and which have morphed over many Lifetimes into Limiting Beliefs that we mistake for the Limits of Hardcopy Reality.  And the Oaths that our Ancestors made which have morphed over many Generations into Limiting Beliefs that we Confuse with the Edges of Reality.

Think back to your first hearing of the Icarus Myth.  Did it make you recall your Oath not to try to Fly?  Think about when and why you made such an Oath.  Icarians live ten years longer than folks in the US.  Why?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2012/10/25/a-greek-islands-secrets-to-long-life-in-11-bullet-points/

Sounds like elements of Yintegrity, doesn’t it.

If you recall the definition of Held Emotions (Emotions you’d rather Die than Feel, characteristic of the South Node), you know why Opening Up to them requires an Ego Death – because it’s not about “I’d rather Die than Feel that,” it’s about “I’d rather Die than Feel that.”  It’s the Ego that Dies, but the Ego can fight harder than the Body to Avoid Death, because the Ego usually deludes itself into thinking that it is the Body – and Soul.  Which is Healthy, from the psychological Perspective, especially if your psychology has taken Oaths to Support the Patriarchy.

The Orcus Station chart carries this through par excellence, as an Opposition between Stationary Orcus and Neptune (Confusion) is T-Squared (Challenged) by asteroid Nemesis (Ego Death).  As our Chief Asteroid Officer used to say, “You can’t make this stuff up!”  But the chart, despite the T-Square, is about as Charmed as a chart could be…

The T-Square is not only a Diamond Square (Self-Resolving Challenge), but a corner of a Grand Trine (Dumb-Luck Blessings), and the chart is perfectly Symmetrical (Balanced, Flowing Smoothly).  So if you haven’t already Learned to at least Recognize and Allow your Ego Deaths, if not Embrace them as the Growth Portals that they really are, this is your Golden Opportunity.  The Universe is feeding you the Lesson with a Silver Spoon.

Meanwhile, the Strongest feature of the New Moon chart…

…is a Mjölnir (Epiphany) to the North Node (our Lifetime Mission).  A Mjölnir (yellow-orange lines) occurs when a third planet (here North Node) sits at the Far Midpoint between two planets that are Square to one another (here the New Moon and Mars-Neptune).  The third planet makes Trioctiles (Positive Rebalancing) to the ends of the Square, producing Insights that are Valuable to our Growth.

It is a remarkable feature of astrology that you can read a chart in completely different ways and get the same interpretation.  It’s the Epiphany/Mjölnir to the North Node that leads us to interpret this New Moon as focused on our Lifetime Mission.  Stephanie Austin comes to a very similar conclusion because the New Moon is in Sagittarius, which she interprets as “Meaning and Purpose.”  Her reading for this New Moon goes into great detail about just that, and I highly recommend it as an Easy Path to Epiphanies about your own Lifetime Mission.

Find an invitation to her biweekly readings at…

http://ecoastrology.com/forecast.html

She puts an earlier example on her invitation page, so you’ll have to subscribe to get the latest edition, but it’s more than worth the modest expense, and I find her information to be very complementary with mine, as we each go into detail about different subtopics of What’s Happening.

Those are the major emphases of these charts, but there are a number of important sub-themes.  For instance, in the New-Moon chart…

  • The 4 December (2pm PST) Initiation of Pallas (Boundaries) by Aletheia (Truth) at 13 Libra, “Children blowing soap bubbles.”
  • The 7 December (7am PST) Initiation of Mars (Action) by Neptune (Trance) in 14 Pisces, “A lady wrapped in a large stole of Fox fur.”

And in the Orcus-Station chart…

  • The rather remarkable convergence of asteroid BZ509 (Transcendence), Saturn (The Most Important Thing), asteroid Karma (Held Emotions), and dwarf planet Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty) in 9-10 Capricorn, which will Initiation six New Cycles.

We’ll talk about all these and more as the week wears on.  If any of these looks important to you, or falls on a natal planet of yours, and I forget or run out of time to include them, remind me, and I’ll correct my omission.
