November 9-22 is quite complex. We’ll summarize it before we go into detail about its components.
(1) Abuse and Privilege are Big Issues (in case you haven’t kept an eye or an ear on the news), especially through 20 November. We predict their Comeuppance, if we’re willing to Embrace our own Opportunities to Transcend our personal status quo. We’re sorely tempted to Believe that these Issues are external to us, but as without so within. The only thing we can Change is ourself, but when we Change, the World Changes.
(2) For most of November and until the Solstice, our Self-Love is being drastically redesigned. While we only sketch the process here, this deserves a book of its own. It feels like a Graduation from the Mystery School we’ve been immersed in since 2012.
(3) Confusion will be prominent through 22 November. Confusion is the Portal to Growth in Consciousness, and this period is the Portal into Liberation from our Limitations. If we haven’t already, we need to Learn to Celebrate Confusion.
(4) The 18 November New Moon introduces a whole different set of Mysteries that are closely related and intertwined with the other three components. The main themes are Fear, Identity, Survival, and Rebirth.

(1) Abuse and Privilege
As you can tell by the news, we’re solidly in the realm of Privilege and Abuse, as dwarf planet and Centaur Nessus Stands Still at 8pm PST on 16 November. The Mythic Nessus was working as a Ferry across some Mythic River when our Patriarch hero Herakles (Hercules) approached with his wife Deianeira. Nessus took them across one at a time, the wife first. He was evidently also a contortionist, as he tried to rape Herakles’s wife in mid-stream. The Greeks were big fans of rape. One thing led to another, and Nessus subsequently died, but not before planting a story on Deianeira that would eventually lead her to kill her husband.
So the Nessus story is about Abuse, Deception, and Betrayal. The flip side of Abuse is Privilege. As they say, Power Corrupts, and Absolute Power leads to Deception and Betrayal, as Shonda has illustrated so well. That whole dynamic is pretty much baked into the Patriarchy. These days many of the Patriarchs are scared shitless they’ll lose their Privilege if they don’t condemn Abuse. In order to keep the Privilege of screwing millions of people out of healthcare, the US Legislature is busy condemning sexual Abuse in their peers. It won’t work, because as we approach the Dottirarchy, where Equality prevails, the Abuse-Privilege dimension is collapsing.
The Big-News stories are about Abuse and Privilege that occurred in many cases decades ago. On 20 November, dwarf planet OR10 Stands Still, at 4am PST. OR10 stands for unbidden and forgotten Memories irrupting from the Unconscious. Even Jeff Sessions is on schedule with his Remembering. I saw him on TV yesterday saying “I’ve never lied in my life! That’s a lie!” Most folks seem to be interpreting this as “The folks who are saying that I’m lying, are lying!” But it’s an old childhood double-negative trick – it really means “I’ve never lied in my life! That last statement is a lie!”
Nessus and OR10 have been traveling together, and their Stations are only a Degree and a half apart, so we can combine their charts…
The Fun part is their Opposition to asteroid Veritas, which symbolizes Truth – couldn’t be more literal. “I told the Truth – I told you I was lying when I said I’d never lied in my life.” It’s said that the advantage of always telling the Truth is that you no longer have to Remember everything you’ve said to everybody, so you don’t double-cross yourself. The more Untruths you tell, the less Freedom you have – gosh, what if you run into two folks to whom you’ve told different versions of your Story! We can see this in the other Opposition in the chart, between Varuna – Life Force, and Nemesis – Ego Death. The part of your Ego that believes it’s not Safe to tell the Truth, will have to Die in order for you to reclaim your Life Force.
The two Heroes of the chart are Nessus-OR10 and Varuna, as they are the two at the tips of the two green wedges, which are called “Fingers of God” because what they mean is “Pay Attention! to the planet that I’m pointing to.” The Life Force we can Recover by Speaking Truth about our ancient Abuse Memories, is incredible. Look at the rush to do it!
A third Hero is Hylonome. It sits on a Trine Bridge (one of the blue-red wedges) between the two antagonists Truth and Abuse Memories, symbolizing as any Trine Bridge does, the “Easy Way Out.” Hylonome is about bypassing a temptation to indulge a Karmic Habit again, and instead Acting, or thinking, or Feeling, differently this time.
And yet another Trine Bridge and a fourth Hero – the Initiation of Eurydike (Trust) by Makemake (Manifestation) Bridges the Nemesis-Varuna EgoDeath-LifeForce Opposition. Do we Trust our Ability to Manifest? Can we Manifest Trust that the Universe will Deliver? That’s about our Willingness to Receive, which in turn is about our Self-Love. This Initiation of this 5-year Cycle occurs at 5 Libra, “A teacher revealing to his or her students the foundation of an inner knowledge upon which a ‘New World’ could be built” – we can look forward to building this New World over the next five years.
(2) Self-Love
So, what about our Self-Love? Asteroid Sappho signifies Self-Love; what’s she been up to? A whole lot, and it’s Amazing! Sappho is in the process of Beginning nine new Cycles across the busy Capricorn Cusp! Remember, the Capricorn Cusp is the Northern Winter Solstice, the same Solstice that Pluto Aligned with at the EndOfTimeAsWeKnowIt in 2012. This is an obvious extended Graduation Ceremony…

- 29 November, Hylonome Initiates Sappho – Shedding All Habits that Aren’t Self-Loving, 7 Capricorn, “A veiled prophet speaks, seized by the power of a god.”
- 10 December, Chariklo Initiates Sappho – Self-Love and Self-Confidence, 13 Capricorn, “A fire worshiper meditates on the ultimate reality of existence.”
- 20 December, Pluto Initiates Sappho – Self-Love Is Not Optional, 19 Capricorn, “A 5-year-old child carrying a bag filled with groceries.”
That’s a ton of symbolism! It’ll take us a while to digest all that!
(3) Confusion and Clarity
Meanwhile, Neptune is also Standing Still, with it’s Exact Station 22 November in 12 Pisces. We can think of Neptune as evoking Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity…
The Neptune Station Challenges us to Step Into this “New World” that Eurydike and Makemake will be Teaching us to Manifest, and Begin Anew (the red triangle or Klotho T-Square). It gives us four keys to this Realm…
- If we’re Conscious of the Archetypes that rule our Lives, it gives us a GetOutOfJail card that allows us to Declare the Intention to simply Step Out of them – and do so (the Conjunction with Lachesis as Choice and Opposition to Orcus as Limiting Belief).
- Our Confidence in our Self (Chariklo in the Truss Bridge across the Opposition).
- The Unconditional Love for All Things that we gain by Lovingly diving deep into the Emotions that underlie our Prejudices, and Letting Go of our Karmic Resentments (the Stellium of Jupiter as Expansion, asteroid Karma as Self-Sabotaging Habits, and Hopi as Respect for All Things, that occupies the other corner of the Truss Bridge).
- Facing down the Challenging Memories we encounter when we dive deep into these Emotions, by Wondering How we can shift from Material Confusion to Spiritual Clarity (Mnemosyne as Memory in a Jupiter/Karma/Hopi-Square-Mnemosyne-Quincunx-Neptune/Lachesis-Trine-Jupiter/Karma/Hopi Tricolor Configuration).
(4) Facing our Fear of Change
And then there’s the 18 November 27-Scorpio New Moon, which we’ll document separately. In a nutshell it’s about Embracing Fear, and Letting Go of the “Fateful” Boundaries that separate us from our Rebirth – and Accepting all of the Paradoxes that arise in the process
