Manifesting in 5D is all about Cooperation and Collaboration and Receiving. In 3D it’s more about Effort and Persistence and “Winning.” Here’s an example…
…came to a nearby town to present a workshop. I was a little surprised at the time by how quickly I Responded, since the town was far enough away that I would normally have had to work fairly hard to convince myself to make the trip.
In a completely unconnected process, the week before Jeremy’s workshop, one of my clients asked me to attend an all-day meeting being held the day before the workshop. My client’s meeting was to occur in another town only a few miles from the workshop, and they offered to provide lodging before and after the meeting.
Tremendous stroke of luck, as it meant that I didn’t have to get up before dawn to travel to either! As my client was making these arrangements, they suggested I bring my wife and have a “second honeymoon.” Well, unbeknownst to my client, it turned out that the meeting was happening in the same hotel that our wedding reception had been held in years before! Another remarkable coincidence – or remarkable Intuition on the part of my client.
So, we went to the meeting and the workshop, and assisting Jeremy in the workshop, unbeknownst to me when I signed up, was a friend, remarkable person, and fabulous Irish Harpist, Peter Berry (https://manufacturing.dustystrings.com/blog/dusty-harp-001-interview-peter-berry). Well, Peter, with his Harp and his incredible Bardic Genius for Story, was the officiant who married us!
Not knowing these remarkable “coincidences,” Jeremy sketched out the Sidhe way of relating to their Reality, which sounded a lot like what we might Call 5D Manifesting, where we’re in Cooperation and Collaboration with the Energies and Forces around us. That’s one of the fundamental purposes for this blog, hoping to help us understand the Forces swirling around us at any given time, so we can more Easily Cooperate and Collaborate.
I don’t normally get this personal in this blog, but the Story is too “coincidental” to resist telling. Back in 2012, when the World As We Know It was Ending, we spoke a lot about how a New Energy Manifests at the Beginning of a Cycle between two planets, when a faster planet passes a slower one, and the slower (more Powerful) planet Initiates the faster one, or provides Shaktipat so that the faster planet can serve to Implement the Program of the slower one.
After the Initiation – when the New Energy is Prominent, the New Energy moves underground, as the Masters of the Old Obsolete Energy work to save their Investments by Forcing the Old Energy to appear to still be Working. If we understand these Cycles, and know where we are in which Cycles, we can ignore the Old-Energy-serving headlines, we can “no longer lend our Strength to that which we wish to be Free From” (as Jewel puts it), and put our Efforts into helping the New Energy take hold.
The New Energy comes into its own when the faster planet is three Signs ahead of (“Waxing Square to”) the slower planet. In 2012 Uranus Waxed Square to Pluto, finally bringing the Energy of the 1960s (when Pluto Initiated Uranus) out into the mainstream. We Intuit the nature of a Cycle first by the nature of the planets involved, then by the Sabian Symbol of the Degree in which the Initiation occurred, and third by the Birth chart of the Initiation.
One meaning for Pluto is Transformation, or Trance Re-Formation, and another is Compulsion. The interpretation we use for Uranus is the Individual Soul. So the 150-year-long Uranus-Pluto Cycle is about a Compulsion to Transform our Lives so that our Ego Identifies more with our Soul or Mission. You’ll notice that we talk about that quite a bit, especially now that Uranus is Edging into Taurus (Soul Merging with Flesh), which it does again in about six weeks.
So I was thinking last week about how I should be giving examples of the Waxing Square stage of Cycles, where the New Energy is coming out of the Closet, and see if we can Relate that to the Initiation, which we more often write about. So this evening I looked to see which Cycles were at the Waxing Square, that we could write about, and lo, Mars was Waxing Square to Saturn just last week, on 21 January.
So, when was the Initiation, and what did we write about it? I’m not trying to make this a test or testament about these methods, as I didn’t invent them – blame Dane Rudhyar for that – because, after having seen these methods work over the last half-century, I know that if I don’t understand, it’s because there’s New Information coming into my Consciousness, and it’d Behoove me to Pay Attention!
We Interpret Saturn as “The Most Important Thing” or the First Priority, and Mars as Action. So the Mars-Saturn Cycle would be about how well we Prioritize our Actions, and whether they Further our Goals. We have the admitted Bias that we Believe our Goals (at least while Uranus is as Lit Up as it has been) should be devoted to Opening our Ego to Adapt to Knowing and Surrendering to our Soul.
“If we were examining Projects we’re beginning now (this Rebirth, for example), and hence using larger Sensitivities, we’d see that the Saturn-Mars Initiation is also Merged with the Quaoar and Pholus Stations.
“This means that The Most Important Thing (Saturn) is to Act (Mars) to Be Responsive to our Survival Instincts, and by extension to our Hidden Genius. The Saturn-Mars Initiation occurs on 2 April (9am PDT) at 9 Capricorn, ‘An Angel carrying a harp.’ This begins a two-year Cycle where this Angel will facilitate our Actions when they Align with Being Responsive to our Survival and that of our Unique Genius.”
“An Angel carrying a harp!” And of course, the stated Reason that the Sidhe are Approaching our Dimension now is because they sense that we’re about to Commit Cultural and Environmental Suicide, and they’d like to help us Choose to Avoid such a “Fate,” partly because they Live in a Parallel Dimension on the same Planet, and our Suicide will impact them as well. Continuing with our April quote…

Which is to say that if we Act to Be Responsive to our Survival Instincts, and by extension to our Hidden Genius, it will Heal our Abuse Histories Paradoxically.
“Which is good, because it’s going to be a lot easier to Act-to-Be-Responsive-to-our-Survival-Instincts than it would be to Act-to-Heal-our-Abuse-Histories, for the reasons we explained in the penultimate Healing Abuse Full Moon post. Penultimate means the post before the previous one. It usually means next-to-the-last, but in this case, same diff, as the last post is the one before this one.”
We didn’t discuss, at least in that post, the Yin Gate with its emphasis on the Orcus-Nessus Opposition as the Primary Paradox governing the Cycle. Orcus symbolizes the Oaths, Promises, and Commitments that are Forgotten and become Obsolete Habits, aka Karma, and Nessus symbolizes Abuse and it’s flip side, Privilege. One very common sort of Paradox is the Healing Crisis, where an Affliction gets worse after a Healing before it gets better, and may continue to get worse if we Distrust the Medicine, because our Afflictions are continuing Mirrors for our Attitudes.
Here in the USofA we’re in the role of the Battered Woman, where our Oaths to Support Nation and Authority, and to curry favor from Wealth, are being tested by the fact that Authority and Wealth have been Abusing their Privilege and in the process Abusing Us – and we’re Noticing! The two diagonals of the Yin Gate (the blue Rectangle) are the Journey from Karma to Mission, including the “fact” that our Karma hides the tools we need to Reach our Mission (the Nodal Axis), and Noticingthat we need to Trust our Instincts about Ending Obsolete TimeLines (Sun-Mercury Opposite Moon-Eurydike-Atropos).
My own Obsolete TimeLine that’s being Ended is my Programmed Resistance to Accepting the HardCopy Reality of the Subtle Realms and Other Dimensions, where the Energies we need to Cooperate and Collaborate and Conspire with are Swirling, in and out of our own Dimension. Even though I’m Passionate about Reanimating the World and All of its Beings, Sentient and Otherwise (if there is such a thing as an Other-than-Sentient Entity), how much do I Allow it to interpenetrate my Life, Moment-to-Moment?
Earlier in https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2018/04/01/surviving-2/, we point out that the Saturn-Mars Initiation is also Merged with (Conjoins) the Belief-Responsibility-Survival (Vesta-Pholus-Quaoar) Stellium, telling us that in order to Act to Support the Most Important Thing, Respond to our Survival Instincts, and Allow theAngel’s Harp to Enchant us into Collaboration and Cooperation with the Energies Swirling around us, we need to Allow our Beliefs to Shift.
I have not been Working to Shift my Beliefs; I’ve been Reading and Learning and Watching them Shift on their own. If we look at the second chart in https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2018/04/01/surviving-2/, we see that the Belief-Responsibility-Survival-Action Challenge (the red triangle or T-Square) is Self-Resolving (the blue cat’s cradle across from it the Diamond Star created by Varuna and Pallas), and that the Belief-Responsibility-Survival-Action Challenge itself is actually between our Ability to Manifest (Makemake) and our Victimhood or Attitudinal Adeptness (Chiron).
Now, while all that well describes the Roots of the Cycle, we want to Recognize that it’s Evolving. If we look at the chart of the Waxing Square itself, which is almost identical to the Sappho-Station (Self-Love) and Grand Octile (Epiphanies) Total-Lunar-Eclipse (Erasing our Karma and Enhancing our Vitality) charts in the Self-Judgment and Self-Love series (the previous posts), we see that our Understanding of the Most Important Actions for us to take (the Mars-Saturn T-Square) is being Transmogrified (Bee-Zed) by our New Commitment to Self-Sovereignty (Hylonome) and our Learning that we overcome our “Fate” by simply Choosing an Alternative (asteroid Moira).

Her Insight suggests that, if the results of voting in the US are delayed, the news will favor “that which nurtures and protects Life.” Of course a Racist or Nationalist would claim they are doing just that, and in a narrow sense they are, but it would be rooted in Fear, and when we Manifest from Fear, Fear is what we Manifest. Fear doesn’t “nurture and protect Life” except in a very superficial and temporary way.
We need to stay Mindful of a fundamental astrological “fact” – the 21st Century was born under a Pluto-Chiron Initiation at 12 Sagittarius, “A flag turning into an Eagle, the Eagle turning into a Chanticleer saluting the Dawn.”
The flag represents folks who Identify with their Nationality, Ethnicity, or Race more than they Identify with their Individuality or their Huperity or their Soul or their Species or their Planet. They’re being replaced in this Century by far-seeing Eagle, Who sees the World through a larger Perspective. Eagle is subsequently replaced as the logo of the Century by the Dawn, Enlightenment.
The 18th Century “Age of Enlightenment” is also, and more appropriately, called the Age of Reason, and most of the Death Drive on the Planet today results from too much Reason. The 21st Century Enlightenment is not about Reason, but about Ascension, or Merging and Collaborating with the Natural Flow of Co-Creation and Empathy with All of Mother Gaia’s Children – Animal, Vegetable, and Mineral, whether bigger or smaller than a breadbox. Saint Francis of Assisi rather than Saint Augustine of Hippo.
We also discovered something interesting when we noticed our indirect reference to The Tower in the previous post, and investigated the 16th Harmonic (a “Semi-Octile” or 22½ Degrees). The Tower represents “the principle of Restoration, renovation, and de-structuring of old forms” (Angeles Arrien, The Tarot Handbook, p.82).
The purple lines already drawn on the Cuspal chart in https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2018/11/05/ends-and-means-ii/ Illuminate an Exact Septile Yod to the North Node from Mars and Saturn. A Septile Yod occurs when two planets are both Triseptile (154½ Degrees) to a third planet, and Asks us to Pay Attention to Timing. In 5D, when we’re In the Flow, Timing is Everything. (We won’t notice it, because we’ll bein the Flow, but while we’re still in 3D it behooves us to Pay Attention to Timing, as practice for 5D.) And the Mars-Saturn Cycle says that The Most Important Thing is Action.
This Waxing Mars-Saturn Septile tells us that Action at this point in Linear Time will be very Powerful and Germinal. The results may not be immediately obvious – as Energies usually do, they may wait for the Waxing Square before they reveal themselves fully. This Mars-Saturn Cycle was Initiated last April at 9 Capricorn, “An Angel Carrying a Harp” – we’re beginning to see what Dan Scranton’s Channel meant when they said that Adeptness “comes when you are so certain that what you desire is on its way to you that you bask in the present moment and in whatever energy that you do have access to.”
So even if the results of the current election allows the Corporate-owned Media to continue to fuel itself on Fear, the cohort of Women entering Politics in the US here will bear Fruit at the Mars-Saturn Square – which happens just as they’re being sworn in, in January 2019.
The South Node in the New Moon chart is Exactly at the Midpoint between Saturn and Mars, 24½ Degrees from each. 24½ Degrees is actually closer to the 15th Harmonic than the 16th. The 15th Harmonic (24 Degrees) or The Devil represents Levity toward that which ” ‘bedevils’ us” (Arrien, p.78). As we pointed out earlier, we couldn’t find a more perfect Metaphor for the South Node.
So what about the New Moon itself? Anything near the 16th Harmonic from it? It turns out to be near the Midpoint between Venus and Mercury, which both happen to be Standing Still when the Mean Node retrogrades into Cancer at the Ides of November and also begins to help promote “that which nurtures and protects life.” Mercury forms a Waxing Novile to Venus, which advises that Meditation and Prayer is a most Powerful Action this month.
The Mercury-Venus Cycle is about Becoming and Being Aware of our own Values. The current one began in early March at 28 Pisces, “A fertile Garden under the Full Moon reveals a variety of full-grown Vegetables.” That, and all of its Implications of Abundance and Well-Being, is our Image to PIAVA in our Meditations – the Arcturians remind us that “if we Want to Receive something that we’ve been Asking for,” we’ll probably have to access it Energetically before we can access it Physically.
The Venus-Mercury Initiation was also in the same Degree as Chiron, which puts us in a position where we can Choose between Despair and Miracles about our Connection to our Values – or about our Values themselves if they’re Obsolete. Choose Miracles by Poor-Sweethearting yourself whenever you aren’t “so certain that what you desire is on its way to you that you bask in the present moment and in the energy that you do have access to.”
Since the position of the New Moon is refracted by its Conjunction with asteroid Eurydike (Trust), the Venus-Mercury Midpoint is less than 2 Degrees from the New Moon, making 17th-Harmonic Angles between the Moon and each planet.
The 17th Harmonic is represented by The Star, which signifies Self-Sovereignty (Arrien p.85). With Self-Sovereignty, we don’t really care what seeps out of the election; we just Manifest the Reality we Want to Live in, by Becoming and Being Authentic, and being Neutral to any Patriarchal or other Resistance we meet while we Persist in working around and beyond it.
And the week wasn’t just about Ego Death, it was also about Transcendence, as asteroid BZ509 was also Stationary, on 17 October. Pairing their Stations in time is like having BZ509 Initiate a new Cycle with Nemesis – we have to read them as if they were Merged. BZ509 is a recently-discovered asteroid with a somewhat Jupiter-like orbit, which would give it some of the Power of Jupiter. But its orbit is Backward relative to most everyone else. It symbolizes Transcendence.

A lot more going on here than in the Nemesis-Station chart. Just for starters, we notice that the BZ509 Station is Merged with (Conjoins) both our friend Saturn, whom we’ve just discussed, and dwarf planet Hylonome. Hylonome is about Stepping Out of Relationships where we’ve been Merged with Other.
Of course that only applies to college freshpersons without dependencies and other complications. Real Life is a lot more complicated. But the “Leaving” isn’t really about Physical Separation, it’s about Egoic Separation, about becoming your own person, directed by your own Mission, and not someone else’s. When we Change, the World Changes to reflect our Change. Many of the repercussions we Fear don’t actually evolve, and/or they’re Compensated by other Changes we didn’t foresee.
So in this case I was probably Merged with Rebellion, possibly as an Unconscious (and probably Karmic, given the Nemesis-Station chart) Reaction to having been Judged all my Life for “Lacking” Discipline. Everybody’s got a Saturn, so nobody Lacks Discipline – we just don’t understand how their Protocols differ from ours.
So to complete my homework I need to spend some time Wondering how Rebellion and Self-Sabotage have complemented one another in my Karmic history. If I don’t do that, I’ll likely be less Conscious the next time Saturn and Mars are in a Challenging Angle to one another.
A seldom-mentioned subtext of PIAVA is Expansion. Like that old Meditation where you become as big as your house, then your yard, etc etc till you’re as big as the Galaxy. Or the one where you Ascend to larger and larger Geophysical Perspectives. These are good ways to Explore your Karmic history, while Remembering that All There Is Is Now.
Mars is Waxing Novile to Saturn these days. The Novile is about Meditation. The current Mars-Saturn Cycle Initiated early April of this year in 9 Capricorn, “An Angel carrying a harp.” That’s pretty cool. The Mars-Saturn Cycle is about how our Energy interacts with our Attention to The Most Important Thing.
This chart has two Big Challenges (T-Squares)…
Can we stop Projecting those Memories of Abuse onto everyone who reminds us of our historical Abusers? Or Get more Neutral about the Memories themselves, so we can Respond instead of Reacting in the many situations where they arise, especially when they’re Unconscious? (Nessus-OR10 T-Square on Hopi-Lachesis Opposition)
Do we Trust our own Values? Do they Deserve to be Trusted, or do they need to be Updated, particularly the Values that came to us from our Karma? Or from our Abuse? (Eurydike-Venus T-Square on Lilith-South Node to Varuna-North Node Opposition)
And the most prominent planets in the chart are the two outliers that aren’t knitted into the bottom of the chart like everyone else is – Lachesis (Changing TimeLines by Choice) and Varuna-North Node (achieving Good Health by Cleaning Up our Karma and Attending to our Mission).

Notice that these two form the base of a Yod (Pay Attention to…) focused on Saturn-BZ509-Hylonome (Transcending our Patterns of Giving Away Our Power). Touchè.
We’re in a new Time Province. There are still Flushbacks, for sure, but they’re different now, not as Grasping. Saturn is Initiating Mars (2 April 9am PDT) as I write this; I’ll quote from the recent Survival post…

And yesterday (1 April 6pm PST) our Unconscious Beliefs (asteroid Vesta) joined the crowd in Capricorn. The Mutable Signs (Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini, Virgo) are about Change, which is often quite uncomfortable. The Cardinal Signs (Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, Libra) are about Creating, which is usually more Fun.
While the popular press lists Athleticism as one of Sagittarius’s main features, Sadge is really Spiritual Fire – Burning Away what is no longer necessary or optimal. Exercise is the only way you get your Lymph moved, so its an important factor in Immunity. Since Exercise can also mute Emotions, it can be Addictive to someone trying to Avoid them. There is a correlation between Huper Males specializing in Physical Labor, and their dysfunction with Emotion, or as Dubya might have said, “to not even have one.”
The other big public keyword for Sagittarius is Travel, which has many implications for Letting Go of the Unnecessary, starting with Excess Baggage of all sorts. Travel can easily raise Emotions and raise Opportunities for Letting them Go, teasing Held Emotions for instance. While not as Emotionally Intense or Sticky as Pisces, which specializes in Waterboarding, all of the Mutable Signs are still hard work, whether you’re Letting Go or Avoiding.
Dwarf planet Ixion and asteroids Karma and Hopi are still in Sagittarius, and Jupiter will arrive in November to do a thorough Spring Cleaning. The Flushbacks we’re feeling today are the early warning signs of the 7 April (6pm PST) Station of Karma, a Challenge to Let Go of all Obsolete Habit Patterns, especially those that are Self-Sabotaging. It’s Heavied Up by sitting on the “Great Attractor,” an unknown Cosmic Entity at the Ides of Sagittarius that is pulling our region of the Universe toward itself hungrily.
Asteroid Karma has been crossing the first half of Sagittarius since mid-January, and will back over it until late July, then recross it till early October. The first half of Sagittarius is about Letting Go of Other, Flushbacks of all the unsatisfying Scorpio Experiences we’ve had with Other People…
While I don’t expect the rest of April to be as Heavy as the last half of March, lots of things get Lit Up nonetheless…
1-7 April (till 6pm PDT), Karma (asteroid Karma Stationary Retrograde, 16 Sagittarius). Remember, Karma is dead; any old Difficulties that arise are Opportunities to Banish the Hassle Forever. The only thing you really need is to be in the Present Moment. Maybe pinching yourself will help. When Karma is Lit Up there are two Realities – the Sticky one you’re in, and the Present Moment. Ask someone what year it is. How Old would you be in that year, and How Old do you Feel? Just Step Into the Current Year.
4-11 April (till 8pm PDT), The Life Force (Varuna Stationary Direct, 30 Cancer)
7-14 April (till 7pm PDT), Truth (Veritas Stationary Direct, 25 Leo).
12-15 April (till 2am PDT), Communication (Mercury Stationary Direct, 5 Aries). These are going to be almost impossible to Separate; basically, we’ll be Rediscovering our Life Force by Communicating the Truth about our Self-Sovereignty. Or Not, and likely ruing it. To a large extent this will be Realizing-that-The-Most-Important-Thing (Saturn; see below) is Communicating the Truth about our Self-Sovereignty.
17 April (1am PDT), Pain Eases (Chiron moves into Aries). This should be quite a Relief, as the Dilemmas we face for the next Decade will be more about How-to-Create than How-to-Endure-Painful-Emotions. “You Poor Sweetheart, you don’t know How to do this, do you. What if we could Make it Up as we go?”
10-17 April (till 7pm PDT), Priorities (Saturn Stationary Retrograde, 10 Capricorn). Saturn does not mean Limitation and Deprivation; it means Focus and Concentration. It can feel like Limitation if you’re Focused on what you’re Giving Up (or Not) rather than what’s The Most Important Thing in this Moment. Realize that your Giving Up is only Temporary, till Saturn is done. Our Trance Reformation (Pluto, see below) will make it feel Heavier than it is.
15-22 April (till 8:30 am PDT), Trance Reformation (Pluto Stationary Retrograde, 22 Capricorn)
16-23 April (till 6am PDT), Self-Confidence (Chariklo Stationary Retrograde, 20 Capricorn). We won’t be able to Distinguish these two from one another, especially since they occur in almost the same Degree. The trick is to be Confident that the Unknown Timeline you’re adopting is Better than the Known Timeline you’re Surrendering. The sooner you Surrender, the Easier it will be. Pluto Stations can feel like Swimming in Jello.
28 April (till 12am PDT), Emotional Processing Eases (Juno moves into Aries). Our Challenges around Growth of Consciousness for the next two months will be more about Allowing Exciting New Vistas than about Letting Go of Attachment to Dreary Old Ones.
Unfortunately, we don’t get much of a break from the Pressure till late in the month. But while it’s Busy, it should be Easier than the last few weeks have been…
“It is the perfect time for all of you to consider how you would like to be moving forward in this next phase of your evolution. You are getting to decide how you move forward, in spite of what you might be told from others, others who make it seem as though the next five to ten years are set in stone for all of you. Nothing could be further from the truth.
“You are the pioneers here. You are the creators and co-creators, and it is your time to be the deciders, the ones who actualize your own evolution. You can, of course, just wait and see what happens. You can look for new predictions to tell you what’s going to happen next, or you can take the wheel and decide for yourselves what it’s going to take for you as individuals to evolve.
“Do you need drama and trauma in your life to be inspired, to feel your emotions? Do you need hardship in order to create? Do you need to see evidence of the rest of humanity lagging behind in order to do something about the evolution of your consciousness? In the grocery store today, most folks looked like they were actually concerned about something big, though I couldn’t say for sure if it was about Being Responsive to the Survival of their Hidden Genius, or about whether they were dumb to schedule their Egg Hunt on cold rainy Sunday instead of warm Sunny Saturday. Probably both.
The good news is that I managed to get decent-resolution pictures out of Apple Photos – from iPhoto you could copy; from Photos you have to export. Love these constant undocumented “improvements.” Uploading a hundred times faster is a real improvement, however.
So here, in the heavy lines, is the Quaoar Station chart’s Manifestation-vs-Held Emotions (Makemake-Chiron) Yin Gate Paradox School that we mentioned in the previous post…
The lighter lines trace out the Diamond Star that we talked about in the Pholus Station section of the previous post.
In the chart above we’ve included the whole Forbidden Genius-Responsiveness-Survival complex (Ixion-Pholus-Quaoar Stations), since they’re close enough together in Linear Time (27 March to 1 April) and Zodiacal Space (28 Sagittarius to 3 Capricorn, and across the Galactic Center to boot) to be one coherent event in Real Life. Well, Real 3D Life.
The complex doesn’t peak till the Quaoar Station at 3pm PDT 1 April. No foolin’. Well, okay, for many it could have peaked at the Full Moon, which was 4:30 am PDT 31 March. Like Banana peels, Moons are often Triggers for larger events. And there could always be Twin Peaks. Plus, depending on your natal chart, you could easily have felt the Ixion Station (2pm PDT 27 March) or the Pholus Station (9pm PDT 29 March) more Strongly. The Ixion Station would probably have felt most uncomfortable, as Ixion is such an Outcast.
If we focus in on our usual just three Degrees of Sensitivity at the Quaoar Station itself, we get this picture of the Diamond Star, in the heavy lines…
The light lines show a second Challenge to Mastery (T-Square), a Challenge to Adjust our Values to better Recognize our Intuition (Venus Opposite Moon) so we can better Remember the bottom-line importance of the Life Force (Mnemosyne-Varuna). We can hardly Respond to our Forbidden Genius’s Desire to Survive if we ignore the Life Force.
In fact, without giving our Forbidden Genius some Attention, we won’t be able to Support the Ego’s Compulsion to Survive. Few things are more Soul-killing than suppressing one’s Genius. Consider that if you know anyone who’s Depressed about more than their Egg-Hunt weather, though that could always just be the surface manifestation – the further correspondence in Time is there.
And speaking of the correspondence in Time with Easter, Notice that when we expanded our Sensitivity to include all three Stations, Haumea/Rebirth ended up Merging with the Moon in the Yin Gate, Dancing with (Opposing) Uranus/Soul and Venus/Values. In the second, Diamond Star chart above, you can see that the Three Stations (not Stooges) make an Easy Path (Trine-Sextile Bridge – blue lines) across the Life-Force Challenge to Mastery (Varuna T-Square).
In fact, these two Challenges make Easy Paths to one another – Life Force/Varuna Trine-Bridges the Three Stations (Genius-Responsiveness-Survival) T-Square, and the Three Stations Trine-Bridge the Life Force T-Square. This is remarkably Fortuitous. If we were examining Projects we’re beginning now (this Rebirth, for example), and hence using larger Sensitivities, we’d see that the Saturn-Mars Initiation is also Merged with the Quaoar and Pholus Stations.
This means that The Most Important Thing (Saturn) is to Act (Mars) to Be Responsive to our Survival Instincts, and by extension to our Hidden Genius. The Saturn-Mars Initiation occurs on 2 April (9am PDT) at 9 Capricorn, “An Angel carrying a harp.” This begins a two-year Cycle where this Angel will facilitate our Actions when they Align with Being Responsive to our Survival and that of our Unique Genius.
So “you who philosophize Disgrace and criticize all Fears, take the rag away from your face, cuz now ain’t the Time for your Tears,” as Bobby D put it. God/Goddess is on our side after all. It’s been a tough week, but the prognosis is good.
You also got cheated out of a readable chart of the Healing Abuse Full Moon (see penultimate post) with its Decisions-about-Abuse-and-Privilege Paradox School, in the heavy lines…
The light lines show that the impending Saturn-Mars Initiation T-Squares the Full Moon, but Trine-Bridges the Decisions-about-Abuse-and-Privilege central axis of the Yin Gate. Which is to say that if we Act to Be Responsive to our Survival Instincts, and by extension to our Hidden Genius, it will Heal our Abuse Histories Paradoxically.
Which is good, because it’s going to be a lot easier to Act-to-Be-Responsive-to-our-Survival-Instincts than it would be to Act-to-Heal-our-Abuse-Histories, for the reasons we explained in the penultimate Healing Abuse Full Moon post. Penultimate means the post before the previous one. It usually means next-to-the-last, but in this case, same diff, as the last post is the one before this one.
The Trioctiles that constitute the Mjōlnirs are the heavy gold lines that connect the ends of each Square (short red lines) with the planet at their Far Midpoint. If you start from the Squares, they’re fairly easy to see; otherwise they just look like a bunch of lines wandering everywhere. It’s an unusual Blessing to have Epiphanies (Mjōlnirs) enhancing each Challenge (Square).
When we Allow ourself to be Forbidden to access or express an important part of our True Self, we are severely handicapped in the Life. This can be true even if it is not our True Self that is Forbidden but an important part of our Karmic Self, such as a Limitation which we have Vowed to Clear in the Lifetime. This can happen to us when we are in a position of relative Powerlessness, as Children for instance, or as a Victim of a Repressive Culture in a “Past” Lifetime or the current one, or as a Victim of other sorts of Habituation such as a Relationship where our primary role is as a Pleaser. Often repressive Rules are enforced by the threat of Death, so our “Choice” whether to Allow ourselves to be Repressed Feels very Limited.
So it is with our Abandoned Genius, our Forbidden Genius. We first introduced this Concept, as an interpretation of dwarf planet Ixion (which Dances with the Edges of our Consciousness today, as it has been doing for several days or weeks now depending on our Sensitivity), as our Pathological Genius. But what’s Pathological is Culturally defined. What was Pathological in ancient Rome would be very different from what was Pathological to Tyrannosaurus rex. What’s important is that some Valuable part of ourself has been Forbidden.
The Initiation of Jun0 (the Edges of Consciousness) by Ixion (our Forbidden Genius) is confounded by an almost-simultaneous Mars-Saturn Square, so…
We are likely to Experience additional Stress today between Conformity and Rebellion, relative to what has been Forbidden. This will make Life more difficult today, but if we PIAVA to use the Energy to gather clues about how we might Embrace our Forbidden Genius in relative Safety, it can provide very valuable Insight.
The Ixion-Juno Initiation occurs at 26 Sagittarius, “A flag bearer in a battle,” so we are also likely to Feel it as a blow to our current Ego (flag as a symbol for Identity), ie, an Ego Death. That’s very close to the Galactic Center, so there is ample Power available here if we’re Willing and Able to use it.
Be watchful today for Confusion. We all have Habitual reactions to Confusion. Mine is Anger; when I start to get Confused I usually slip into Anger before I even realize I’m Confused. We can use today as a powerful training in detecting the Confusion before it is replaced with another Emotion, because Ego Growth and Rebirth is not Possible without Confusion. If we can stay in the Confusion, we can Allow our Ego Death to occur relatively Peacefully, and avoid Repressing it and cementing an obsolete Self-Sabotaging Ego structure more firmly in place.
The Mars-Saturn Square is Waxing, and a Waxing Square is where a Cycle irrupts into Consciousness. This Cycle Initiated in late August 2016 at Sagittarius 10, “A theatrical representation of a golden-haired goddess of opportunity.” A Mars-Saturn Cycle in itself is about how we Actively Implement what is Most Important. It’s not about PIAVAing anything, but about vigorously Advancing or Defending it as a Conscious Manifestation in the Physical realm.
The Degree does however suggest PIAVA as it’s a Goddess, so we may need to bring both our Dynamic Male PDSA and our Magnetic Female PIAVA Creative Energies into the campaign. We need to be conscious that it’s a theatrical representation and not the Real Thing, so we need to be mindful to distinguish between the Map and the Landscape. Are we drawing a Map or Plan here, or are we revving up the backhoe? There is Gold involved, so the backhoe might be what we need, if the Gold is buried. (Don’t forget to “Call First before digging.”)
The keyword is Opportunity. An Opportunity to Open the Vault where our Golden Genius is buried, if we can finesse the Frustration (Mars-Saturn) that guards the door. When we’re dealing with Opening the Unconscious and retrieving the Jewels it’s important that we don’t wake Smaug. Or fall asleep ourself in the middle of the process. A Habit of getting distracted by Frustration – the equivalent of falling asleep to our Goal – is enough to screw up the whole Adventure.
The Ego is a Trickster. It’s function is to keep us Alive to “fight” another day, and it has so many tools at its disposal, including a hundred heavy and enthralling Emotional states, in addition to its huge arsenal of Thoughtstorms. When it combines both in one campaign, which it often does, it takes our utmost Concentration to get through the Ring-Pass-Not Vortex. Distraction is Ego’s middle name. As a creature of Habit, it distrusts the Unknown and will Defend the Known, literally to its Ego-Death, whether the Known still works or not.
The sense of “I’d rather Die than go through that again,” or “It Feels like I’m Dying” (which is literally true, but with emphasis on the “I” – Ego – rather than on the “Dying”) is one of its strongest weapons, its “nuclear option.”
Watch for the Confusion, and Embrace it as quickly as you can, before it gets away. Then hold onto Confusion “for Dear Life.” Learn to Enjoy and Celebrate Confusion.Laser Focus on Opportunity is as good an interpretation for Mars-Saturn as any other, and the Opportunity here is to make a big step toward Recovering our Forbidden Genius and Opening Up our Life to Grace and Ease.
With Saturn-Ixion-Juno-Nemesis Opposite dwarf planet Chaos (Unlimited Potential) as one Axis of our Golden Rectangle…
The Opportunity here to eliminate Self-Sabotage is immense. Don’t forget that Embracing All of our Hidden Fears is one of the prerequisites and another amazing Opportunity available to us at this time. If you’re Scared but you aren’t sure why – Congratulations! That’s Confusion.
(1) If you, like me, have been wondering why there seems to be such a Disturbance in the Force lately, I just noticed – Sedna is Stationary!
Sedna is about regrettable Actions taken – or not taken – out of Fear of Anger. This could take the form of Hesitation to accept and Act Out our own Anger because we Fear we won’t be able to do it Responsibly, or Fear of Other People’s Anger.
That would include the Oaths we made to ourself in order to avoid the Anger of our historical parents, and the resulting Unconscious Limitations we face daily. And the Karmic roots or Esoteric Purpose underlying our Soul’s Choice of those parents and programming.
It’s obvious that someone seems to have had a Purpose in mind when a birth time was chosen for – or by – us. While some folks say that we as a Soul had been burdened with Inertia from Habits (enforced by avoidance of certain “Held” Emotions) in Previous or Parallel Lives, others say that our Free Soul Chose to come to this planet to help shift a particular facet of the Planet’s Inertia.
The latter folks suggest that our Free Souls then used a Simulator to set the equivalent of our Karma in place. I’m not sure that step is necessary, as our Birth chart provides plenty of raw material, and Resonance with extant Earth Energies provides the rest.
It’s all Metaphor anyway, so it doesn’t really matter. However, having more Perspectives gives us greater Resilience. The six blind men all had different notions about the Elephant, but we approach “Reality” itself more closely when we see through the hands of all six blind men. You can easily imagine that Relating to the Elephant will be a lot more effective than Relating to the Snake, the pillar, the fan, the spear, the rope, or the wall.
Sedna turns Retrograde around 8pm PST on 26 August, so now that we know what’s going on, the Energy should Lighten Up after that.
With all the Blessings in the recent Full Moon chart, I assumed that the Disturbance was “just” Upper Limits.

(2) And now that I look at the rest of the Sedna-Station chart, hmmm, I guess it is Upper Limits!
Of course now that we know the Timing, between now and 8pm PST 26 August we’ll be taking full Advantage of this Opportunity to Learn more about how we Sabotage ourself, right? It’s easier to Transcend our Unconscious Limits if we can manage to bring them into Consciousness.

(3) I’ll skip right to the Bottom Line. You know those “random” ancient but oh-so crystal clear and emotionally loaded Memories you’ve been having? Well, this is a direct Challenge for you to Manifest a different Outcome this time, one more in keeping with what you Want.

(4) It’s actually bigger than that, but that’s your Microscopic view of the Macrocosm – like the six blind men and the elephant, we all see the Universe through our own particular lens. Chances are, the Memories you’ve been encountering have a lot to do with your Deepest Desire, hence with your Mission. And of course your Mission is all about the Macrocosm, because the Macrocosm is a humongous jigsaw puzzle in Time and your Mission is one of the pieces.

(5) And it’s about how our place in the World will evolve over the next four hard years, as the old social and economic order falls away and is replaced (or not) by a wide range of new Opportunities – Opportunities which we ourselves ultimately Create.
Among the 1%, “Crisis Investing” is a popular trend. The idea is to take any given Crisis – especially including the ones they helped to Create – and figure out how to make a fortune from it. Imagine for instance if you’d cornered the market for Soup Kettles in 1929. Or Epi Pens in 2008. Or bombs in 1937. We can translate this into taking any given Crisis, and figuring out how to use it to Transform the Planet and Her Denizens.

(1) Sedna is Stationary at 27 Taurus, Square (Mastery through Challenge) to Pallas (Boundaries).
Also, Saturn Initiated Mars yesterday, at 10 Sagittarius, which represents the Symbols of Opportunity and Privilege – for females. That should bode well for our PIAVAs over the next 19 months. Mars-Saturn is about Focusing our Energy into The Most Important Thing, which can involve temporarily giving up what we Want to Focus on.
And, Mars went Out of Bounds (Strong) in early August, till the end of October.
Sedna’s Station makes a Trine Bridge across the Opposition between a Mercury-Venus-Jupiter Stellium and Chiron, which Opposition is T-Squared by Pholus-Quaoar and Lachesis-Ixion.
That deserves a separate post.
What it basically means is that the easiest way to Thrive over the next four years is to Lovingly Embrace your Fear and Anger now.
Along with the Mercury-Venus-Jupiter Stellium, the Sedna Station anchors the base of a Square Fez with Pallas and Pholus-Quaoar-Galactic Center (a Clear Dictate from HQ to Take Full Responsibility for the Survival of the Planet). Meaning that the two primary Quincunxes are Sedna to Pholus-Quaoar (I Wonder if I’m ready to Surrender what’s not Necessary) and Pallas to Mercury-Venus-Jupiter (I Wonder if I’m prepared to Set Boundaries against my old Ego?) in Virgo (Ego Death).
(2) This isn’t the only reason, but the Saturn-Mars Initiation and a Mercury-Venus-Jupiter Stellium form the base of a Ceres (Sustainability) Quintile Yod (big Learning Opportunity). If we expand our Sensitivity a little and add Pallas and Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs), we approach a Grand Quintile (Openness to Learning). The Waning Jupiter-Saturn Quintile invites us to Learn about the Jupiter-Saturn Cycle (see #5 below).
(3) Mnemosyne (Memory) is also Stationary, turning Retrograde at 11am PDT on 30 August. It’s Sextile to the ongoing Nessus-OR10 Conjunction (Eruption of Memories of Privilege or Abuse), which Sextile forms the base of a Makemake (Manifestation) Finger of God (Pay Attention!).
Mnemosyne also forms a Trine Bridge (the Easy Way) across the Opposition between the Sun and Nessus-OR10. In other words the Memories will probably be a relatively easy way to Let Go of our PTSD, if we remember to Let them Go instead of Grasping them again. Hint – Empathize with your Victim.
(4) Mars and Saturn are just coming within Sensitivity for Squaring the Nodes. Mars exactly Squares the Nodes on 29 August; Saturn crosses into 3-Degree Sensitivity on 27 August.
(5) We’ll get into the nitty-gritty of this soon. It’s about Mercury Retrograding over Jupiter at the end of Virgo Opposing Chiron at the end of Pisces. The Jupiter-Chiron Cycle is another Fresh Violets in an Ancient Pottery Bowl Cycle, like the Chiron-Neptune Cycle, as their respective Initiations Danced together. So the Jupiter-Chiron Cycle serves the Chiron-Neptune Cycle, and the latter is about New Economic Paradigms.
We’ve talked about that a lot – see Chiron-Neptune in the list of Categories at right. The Jupiter-Saturn Cycle puts us at the end of the Debriefing of the Industrial Era, where we’re descending into Disorder so the cauldron can be stirred and the New Social and Economic Order can emerge.

On 22 August Sappho (Self-Love) Initiated Venus (Heart, Values) at 22 Virgo, which is about Claiming One’s Royalty and Wealth.
On 26 August (3pm PDT) Orcus (Oath-Breaking and Guilt) Initiates Hopi (Respect for All Things) in 8 Virgo, which is about Opening to Learning/Remembering New Skills.
On 27 August Lachesis crosses Ixion (Changing the Timetable for the Liberation of our Repressed Genius); it’s a Confidence-Builder. The Initiation occurred in February 2016 at 25 Sagittarius, which is about Playing at Competence.
On 16 September Jupiter (Expansion) Initiates Sappho (Self-Love) at 2 Libra, which is about Wisdom. On 18 September Makemake Initiates Sappho, and on 19 September Makemake Initiates Jupiter, both at 3 Libra, which is about A New Day Dawning, with Everything Changed. The Harvest Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on Chiron in Pisces will be held on 16 September. On that day Varuna (the Life Force) moves into Leo, meaning perhaps the end of 23 years of concern about Health, and the beginning of 23 years of Playful Self-Love.
Glendonite is a Calcium Carbonate (think clamshell) that preserves the shape of Crystals of spiky superhydrated unstable Ikaite that forms in near-freezing water at the bottom of fjords, but disintegrates at lower pressure. Ikaite is a hybrid of Ice and Stone. It’s an apt symbol for Rebirth into new Forms and Patterns after a period of exile.

The exposure of loooong-standing Patterns as self-sabotaging, and the opportunity to shift them, with potentially Life-Changing consequences – but only if they’re addressed with reverence and compassion!
The same theme is strongly reinforced by the Juno-Pluto Opposition that’s exact on August 29. The current 4-year Juno-Pluto Cycle is about the Choice between self-sabotage and self-support.
Pluto Initiated Juno on January 14, 2013 in 10 of Capricorn, “An Albatross feeding from the hand of a sailor.” The Albatross is a symbol of good luck unless you kill it, in which case it becomes a curse. How similar to the Sedna myth!
And reinforced yet again by Haumea‘s September 17 Initiation of the North Node, birthing entirely new and unexpected Patterns that will serve us well. And reinforced yet further by Eris on the South Node.
Haumea is Pele’s daughter and the Hawaiian Goddess of Fertility. Her Initiation of the North Node occurs at 21 Libra, “A Sunday crowd enjoying the beach,” which Rudhyar reads as a society renewing itself through contact with Nature and itself.
The Haumea-Eris Opposition, which is exact December 3, enters within it’s three degrees of Sensitivity in a few days. Haumea-North Node Opposite Eris-South Node is another perfect metaphor for “The exposure of loooong-standing Patterns as self-sabotaging, and the opportunity to shift them, with potentially life-changing consequences.”
Because of the Herculean time scale involved and still-uncertain orbits, it’s hard to be sure about the Eris-Haumea Initiation, but 29 Taurus (in 1598) is a possibility: “The first Mockingbird of spring,” which again reinforces the possibility of Life-Changing shifts.
Back to August 25, Saturn Initiates Mars about five hours after the New Moon. This 2-year Cycle is about how efficiently we Focus the use of our Energy. We all have limited Energy – physical, emotional, intellectual, Spiritual. How often do we use it for The Most Important Thing?
