It’s an Initiation, and Energies are Strong around an Initiation, often controversially, as the Status Quo tries to Resist the Change. Then the Energy goes underground until the Waxing Square, as the Status Quo either adjusts or builds an army. We don’t get to the Waxing Square of this Cycle till early August 2017, but the Initiation Energy will be carried forward by the 13 December Full Moon.
The Initiation is Pallas-Mars, occurring at 4pm PST 14 December. Since Pallas represents Boundaries and Mars Physical Energy/Action/Anger, our first thought about the Cycle might be something like a modern, more colorful version of “UNHAND ME, YOU CAD!” But the Energy can be just as easily “NO – THANK YOU, IN LOVE” as Maria expresses it in the link above. Or her other prayer, “YES – MORE THANK YOU, IN LOVE” – Mars-Pallas can as easily express Passionate Excitement as Angry Rejection.
What is certain is that the Initiation and the 42-month Cycle represent Strong Adjustments in our Boundaries. If the World indeed splits in two, as some have suggested, that will be a great boon for some, because one side of the split is clearly headed for a return to Feudalism. The Degree of the Pallas-Mars Initiation is the same Degree as the 2009-2010 Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter Initiations – 27 Aquarius, Fresh Violets in an Ancient Pottery Bowl.
We wrote extensively at that time about how the last several Neptune-Chiron Initiations heralded major Economic and Social disruptions – the collapse of Railroad Bonds at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of what’s now called the Long Depression, and in the middle of the last century the end of World War II. So we’ve gotten in the habit of referring to the Chiron-Neptune Cycle as the “New Economy,” a return to the equivalent of Victory Gardens, barter, and local currencies.
If we see that as a return to a Sacred Relationship with the Land that Supports us and a return to the Sanctity of Community, rather than a race to put our Competitors to Shame, and if we can somehow evade our Masters’ Compulsion to addict us to buying what makes us Sick so they can sell us more Insurance while they continue to destroy the Planet, we may be able to Thrive in Feudalism. We’ll need Maria’s first prayer, “MAY IT ALL UNFOLD IN LOVE FOR THE HIGHEST GOOD OF ALL.“
The central focus of the Initiation chart is about Learning to be Loving with Fear. In particular, Asking how we can be Fully Responsible to our Fear of Embracing our Abandoned Genius, and Wondering how we can Let Go of our Self-Sabotage and be Reborn into Grace in spite of our Fear.
The primary Configuration is a Major Tricolor of Mars-Pallas Square Sedna Quincunx Haumea Trine Mars-Pallas. The Ixion-Pholus-Quaoar Stellium is at the near Midpoint between Haumea and Mars-Pallas, creating a Finger of God pointing to Sedna.
The chart continues the Grand Quintile and the Septile Kite that we’ve been writing about; the Grand Quintile composed of Sedna, Neptune, Ixion-Pholus-Quaoar, Jupiter, and Vesta, and the Septile Kite of Asbolus, Uranus-Eris-Ceres-Mnemosyne, Chariklo, and Vesta.
The Trust Grand Cross (Mars-Pallas, Eurydike, Sedna, Lilith) and the Grand Sextile (Mars-Pallas, Ixion-Pholus-Quaoar, Haumea, Eurydike, Chaos, and Uranus-Eris-Ceres-Mnemosyne) are both weakening.
In these long lists of Configurations and planets we can pick out the most prominent players by how many times they’re repeated, or how many of the Configurations they occur in. Mars-Pallas, Sedna (Becoming Lovingly Aware of our Fear), and Ixion-Pholus-Quaoar (Becoming Fully Responsible to our Unique Genius) all occur thrice. Haumea (Rebirth), Vesta (Letting Go of Limiting Beliefs), Uranus-Eris-Ceres-Mnemosyne (Healing Impediments to our Yintegrity), and Eurydike (Trust) each occur twice.
