Tumultuous Week 2

In the following table, we list the peak times for the coming astroevents.  The Energies are likely to build up in the days prior to the peak, then come to a head, then soften and fade into the background.  That doesn’t mean they’ve become unimportant.  It just means that they’re surrendering the podium to give their Peers a chance to Speak Up.  The Energies marked with a *Timespan are likely to become very strong again after the indicated Timespan has elapsed.

• 28 March 2020 9:30 pm PDT, The need to Express yourself (Chariklo Initiates Mars 29 Capricorn).  *6 Months.  See also next entry.

• 30 March 1am PDT, There are Things you Feel strongly about Expressing, but you don’t Feel like you have Permission to Speak out about them.  Many of these Things aren’t very Clear to you yet, making it all the more important that you Talk about them, because Talking will help you Get Clear.  So Give Yourself Permission to Ramble, without having to Make Sense.  If you do Feel at all Clear, Shout it Out.  You don’t have to be – or Want to be – Perfect.  If anyone tries to shut you up, find new Friends and Allies.  The Things you need to Talk About and Get Clear About and Shout Out will turn out to be Critical for the Repair of the Planet (Ixion Stationary 1 Capricorn).  *5 Months.

• 31 March 8:40 am PDT, A Big Change in your Values allows you to Explore New Directions.  Yes, you do have Power and your Opinion and Input are Important to Solving these Problems (Sedna Initiates Venus 28 Taurus).  *3 months.

• 31 March 10am PDT, Focus on What You Want, whether it’s Clear to you or not.  If it’s not, just make a stab and follow it with “…or something like that.”  It’s actually better if you’re vague.  If someone tries to pin you down or put you down, change the subject or suddenly remember an important appointment (Moon on North Node 4 Cancer).  *1 Week.

• 31 March 11:30 am PDT, Don’t Argue with Anyone.  Just Express Yourself, when it Feels Safe, and be Open to others Expressing Themselves.  Spend as much time Listening to others, as you spend Expressing Yourself, and Suspend Judgment while you’re Listening.  If you’re Suffering a Noisy Fool, take a third party aside and Ask them about themself  (Saturn Initiates Mars 1 Aquarius).  *6 Months.

• 31 March 7:30 pm PDT, Big Changes in our Boundaries with Other People that don’t Feel Optional.  Trust your Sense of what Feels Important (Pluto Initiates Pallas 25 Capricorn).  *1 Year.

• 1 April 11am PDT, What are The Most Important Probabilities that you need to be Ready to Deal With?  What other Possibilities are you Discounting because you don’t Believe they’re Probable?  How would you Prepare for them if they suddenly became Probable?  What are you Ignoring? (Pholus Stationary 5 Capricorn).  *5 Months.

• 2 April 6:20 pm PDT, Paying Attention to your Vitality and Taking Full Responsibility for it.  If that’s a Difficult assignment, Reorganize your Priorities till it becomes Second Nature (Moon on Varuna 2 Leo).  * 1 Week.

• 3 April 6:15 pm PDT, Beginning to Understand Why you’re being put through this Gauntlet (Neptune Initiates Mercury 20 Pisces).  *3 Months.

• 3 April 9:30 pm PDT, If the Threats to your Survival Feel Overwhelming, Tap Out your Vulnerability, then Pray that the Universe Give You All That You Need to Stay Safe  (Quaoar Stationary 5 Capricorn).  *5 Months.

• 4 April 8:40 am PDT, The Emotions that you’re Feeling are Real, but you’re Attributing them to Current-Lifetime Events, and they’re Karmic, they’re not Present-Moment.  You have what amounts to an Addiction to these Emotions, so when they Arise you Grasp them.  Emotions need to be Felt and then Let Go, to make room for the Rest of Life.  What would it be like for you if you did that?

Would you Feel Differently?  Even if you Feel Guilty, that would be Progress – you’d have Let Go of your Addictive Feeling and made some room for the Rest of Life.  You’re still Alive, right?  Now go back to your Original, Addictive Emotion.  It’s Still There, right, it hasn’t gone anywhere?  You don’t have to Grasp it – it’ll always Be There.  When it arises, Let It Come then Let It Go (Moon opposes OR10 5 Virgo).  *1 Week.

 

Gauntlet X – Ominous

Got that Ominous Feeling, Obsessing on something untoward that you may have little Control over, and that refuses to Heel despite your Tapping and Thetas and Poor-Sweethearts?  Well, that’s Pluto Stationary – Heavy, like Swimming through Jello.

Ominous also goes along with questions about our Self-Confidence, as Chariklo is Stationary less than 24 hours after Pluto’s Station and less than two Degrees away.  In addition, both Mars (Action – and possibly Agitation) and Lilith (Self-Sovereignty) are Merged in with the two Stations, and Chariklo Initiates Mars only a half hour before the Pluto Station.

Lots of astrolguese in there I know; what it means is that we’re likely to interpret the Heavy Pluto-Station Energy as a Threat to our Self-Sovereignty and Self-Confidence and possibly even our Survival.  And it’s most certainly a Threat to our Survival as we know it, because the Strongest elements in the chart (the T-Square that the Stations head and a Grand Quintile) converge on Rebirth (Haumea-Veritas).  Denial-Resistant Ego Death (Nemesis-Eris-Lachesis) is also prominent.

As far as how much of this will Manifest as Karmic Paper Tigers that Act Out mostly in Emotions, and how much will Manifest as Hardcopy Real-Time External events, well, as our Disrupter-in-Chief likes to say, “We’ll see what happens.”  Much probably depends on what you have going on natally in 17-25 of the Cardinal Signs (Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, Libra), and how much of that is remains Unconscious.  Bringing that into Consciousness is after all the Big Opportunity here.

In this Degree Zone of Capricorn we’re building Version 4.0 of some Project, we’re very proud of it, and we’re forced to Get Humble before we Let the Project out into the Public Eye. 

We might PIAVAC something like “God/Goddess, Creator of All That Is, I Command that this Material come into Consciousness Lovingly and Gently, and that any Disruption in my Life be Underwhelming.  It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done.  Thank you, God/Goddess.  Show me.”

We’ll map all this out over the next several days, just wanted to let you know what’s waking me up in the middle of the night, in case it’s gnawing at you as well.

(5) We’re changing the Water, as a great deal of Ease drops away.  Not all of it, just the most Effortless.  What we’re left with it complementary relationships between Allowing the Rebirth that follows from Letting Go of our Masks, and the Scary Limitlessness that Opens as we begin to Embrace our Abandoned Genius.  The biggest remaining Challenge will be dealing with the Shadows and Projections of our Self-Love, Self-Hate, and Fear.  More on this to follow, as we work up to the Yin Gate and Full Moon.

(6) The Planet, with considerable Authority behind it (namely, the Galaxy), amps up its warning that its tolerance for Abuse is Limited.

(7) Are we actually witnessing another milestone in the Demise of the Patriarchy?  Will The Donald rescue himself?  Tune in next week.  See also (10).

(8) You’re right, War and Violence are not at all Self-Loving, for anyone involved, even the poor Souls trapped in the Bodies of Unconscious Warriors.  If you’ve been wondering where the Grief has been coming from, this is probably it.

(9) If we’re actually going to co-exist on the same Planet, Charisma alone isn’t enough – it begins to look too much like Rhetoric.  We also need to Work at Listening and Understanding.  Acknowledging another person’s Feelings goes a long way toward rapport, especially if you do it with a question instead of a statement.

(10) In the USofA we’ve lately seen plenty of Abusiveness and Privilege coming into Consciousness.  At the moment it’s the Privilege of Men and the Abuse of Women; the Privilege of Whites and the Abuse of Minorities will be back in the news soon.

(11) We’re still warming up to this Initiation; we’ll talk about it soon.

(5) By around 10 October, Karma abandons the Diamond Star and Grand Trine, but asteroid Hopi (Respect for all Things) moves into Opposition to Chiron, completing the Grand Cross till around 20 October.  The Grand Cross will still be Trine-Bridged by a Golden Rectangle and Quincunx-Bridged by Haumea and Uranus-Eris.  

The Ixion/Pholus-Chaos/Veritas axis of the Grand Cross is one of the three Oppositions in the developing Yin Gate.  There’s a picture of a Yin Gate at https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2014/06/13/full-moon-yin-gate-and-portal-7-5-15/ , if you’re unfamiliar with the Configuration.  Of course the planets are different than they were in July, but the structure is the same.

(6) We have two Initiations today (5 October).  Normally we’d cast Initiations as the centerpiece of our Interpretations – their relegation to footnotes shows how Big (#1-4) are.

First, Quaoar (Survival) Initiates Moira (Fate), which sounds pretty heavy.  The Degree is 28 Sagittarius, an old bridge still in use, and of course the Galactic Center, which is a pretty old bridge all right.

(7) Second, Lilith (Yindependence) Initiates Venus (Values) – the Blue Kachina that Lisa mentions, a significant milestone on our path toward the Yang Feminine Energy that we expect to replace the Patriarchy.  It occurs at 16 Scorpio, which symbolizes a girl breaking into a smile.  Mid-Scorpio is one of the four “Horsepersons of the Apocalyse” or Power Points of the Zodiac.

(8) The Red Kachina that Lisa mentions is found in the Initiations of Mars (Energy, Action) by Hylonome (Grieving the Disattachment from an Archetype) and Chariklo (Charm and Grace)…

Where to start?

(1) With the big Jupiter Septile Yod I guess.  It’s with us from around 1 October through 7 October.  Remember last week’s Magic Storm?  That was about one version of what we call “Magic” – the Miracle of Timing.  It’s one of the greatest Blessings that follow from developing your Intuition.  You can spend years (or Lifetimes) trying to do something without success, when the Timing isn’t right.  Then, when the Timing is right, you can accomplish it in a Heartbeat.  

Don Juan was always trying to teach Castaneda to “Save his Power,” and this is what he meant – don’t waste your Energy when the Timing isn’t right.  This is the Seventh Harmonic; planets one seventh of the way ’round the Zodiac from one another, or two or three sevenths.  How do we know when the Timing is right?  Our Intuition tells us, but we have to Listen to it and not let the noisy mind overrule it because it would be hard to defend in a debate.  The Moon, in its esoteric Meaning of Instinct and Authenticity, also plays a big role.

Look for places where you’re wasting Energy fretting about not doing something that your Shoulds are nagging about, when the Timing isn’t right, and places where you feel like you’re on a treadmill.  Watch for things that happen in a flash when you expected them to take forever.  We’re Learning here about the Held Emotions and Other People’s Expectations (such as Believing we have to explain ourself) that block us from Trusting our Intuition implicitly, instantly, and unquestioningly.

This next itemdddd deserves a long essay of its own, but I don’t have time right now, so I’ll be “brief”…  

(2) As we’ve discussed at length, we’re being Asked in no uncertain terms to take Responsibility to Embrace the Brilliance, Gorgeousness, Talent, and Fabulosity of the Truth of our Abandoned Genius.  Because the Programming that forced us to Abandon this part of ourself was Abusive, we have to work through a great deal of Pain to get to this Responsibility.  

(3) Until around 10 October, we’re Gifted with unusual Ease in this task.  You definitely want to take advantage of this.  How?  The easiest way is Self-Empathy – and being constantly Watchful for whatever you’re Feeling in the Present Moment…  

• Anger?  Any Self-Judgment there?  “You poor Sweetheart, you’re questioning your Right to Self-Protection, aren’t you.”  
• Worry?  Undifferentiated Unease?  “You poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Anxious, aren’t you.”  
• Not sure what’s going on?  Trying to figure it out mentally?  “You poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Confused, aren’t you.”  

Wait – Confusion’s the first sign of Growth, right?  Hooray, the Timing is Right to Celebrate!

(4) It gets better.  Surrendering to our Rebirth (which may of course Feel like Ego Death), and Surrendering to the Unknown (which is always Scary), will unleash tremendous Grace on not only the Challenge of Letting Go of our Limiting Programming, but also on any unfinished elements of our many-year task of Removing our Masks and becoming more Authentic to Who We Really Are.  That part is Given to us, all we need to do is stop Resisting it.  

We do have to add one Energy on our own, however, to make it all work Effortlessly.  That Energy is Bravery and Persistence.  If we’re Conscious of our Fear of Death and the Unknown, we can Tap Out the Overwhelm, Locate it in our Bodies, Warm it, Soften around it, Love it where it is, and Breathe into it.  Considering what’s Going On, this will be a Big Order, not because it’s so difficult to Tap or Warm or Breathe, but because what we Fear is so Big that we can’t see it.

We’re looking at our Relationships, our Economic Situation, our Health, our Well-Being, our Anxiety, our Emotions – everything facing and surrounding us.  But what’s Going On is Bigger than that.  A lot Bigger.  Imagine a cloud of Darkness surrounding your House, then your Neighborhood, then your Town, your County, your Region, your Country, your Continent, your Planet, your Solar System, your Galaxy.  That’s what we are Unconsciously Fearing here, and for most of us, it’s not Conscious.  Once we’re Conscious of it, we can Tap Out the Overwhelm, Locate it in our Bod, Love it, Breathe into it.

That part’s “easy,” once we get Conscious of our Fear of Transformation, and find the Courage and Persistence to find the Light Switch that’s hidden within All That Darkness somewhere, and pull it.  It’s Intimidating, but the Light that’s Behind the Sun is far more immense.  Bruce Cockburn said it well half a century ago…

It’s a longer version than Bruce’s, but worthwhile, as she ties it in to many ancient and recent traditions, which, remarkably, we can and will match to what’s Going On in the sky now.

Expansion, recall, is one of the many obscure variations of PIAVA.  Find the Light Behind the Sun by Grounding yourself, then move your Consciousness up and out through the center of the top of your Head till you Connect to the Light.

(5-11) We’ll translate these into English soon.

(1) The Septile Yod points at Jupiter (Expansion) from a base of the Waxing Septile from Ceres (Sustainability) to the Conjunction between Neptune (Culture, Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity) and the South Node (Held Emotion and Hidden Skills).

(2) We’re in the midst of a long-lived Chiron (Despair and Miracle) T-Square (Mastery through Challenge) on a base of the Opposition between Pholus-Ixion (Responsibility-Genius) and dwarf planet Chaos (Unlimited Potential), the latter joined by asteroid Veritas (Truth).  

(3) Asteroid Karma (Inertia) has come into a Sextile to Haumea (Rebirth), with Chiron at the Far Midpoint.  That creates a Chiron Diamond Star (Difficult Challenge Made Easier) across the Chiron T-Square, as both Haumea and Karma form Trine Bridges across the T-Square, in the form of a “bowl of Grace” under it.

(4) Asteroid Karma and Ixion-Pholus join with Uranus-Eris (Removing our Masks, Yintegrity) to form a Grand Trine, a Haumea Kite, and a Chaos-Veritas Kite, leaving one Vacancy to Create a Grand Sextile.  The Vacancy is 23 Capricorn, which is about Bravery in Combat.  Capricorn 23 is also the location of the January 2020 Pluto-Saturn Initiation.

All these Goings On (#2-5), as has often been the case recently, are in 22-25 of their respective Signs. The mid-October (and all month) Nemesis-Juno Conjunction ( https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2016/09/30/nemesis/ ) is in the same range, at 24 Scorpio, as is the Nova in the Constellation Lupus.

Muffins 2

Abuse takes many forms, and impacts all of us.  For instance, if the Significant Others in your Childhood saw you as a blank canvas that needed to be painted with the colors and patterns of their Culture, then during your Formative years you were never recognized as an Individual Soul, unless you were lucky enough to have a “Cookie Lady,” the Mom next door who saw you for who you were. We call that Spiritual Abuse.

In some Cultures, that’s the norm.  Sexual, Physical, and Spiritual Abuse lasts for many generations – seven in one prominent version of the Story.  If your Ancestors were Abused – and whose weren’t – it’s in your genes.  We are programmed to “forget” our Abuse, so most of us are in Denial about most of our Abuse.  

In the USofA, 100 million people tuned in Monday night to watch a conversation between an aspirant that would gift the tattered remains of the short-lived and profoundly destructive American Empire to the Privileged 1%, and one who would sell it to the Exploitative multinational corporations.  And the 100 million, in Denial about their Abuse, don’t know why they don’t like either one of them.  Any way they look at it they lose.

There’s Potential that this Muffin could wake us from the somnambulance of our Abuse.

The peak of the Muffin, or focus of the Configuration, is the Nessus-OR10 Conjunction.  Nessus is about Abuse and Privilege, OR10 about Unconscious contents breaking through into Awareness.

Mars-Hylonome-Chariklo (MHC) is the left shoulder (the Muffin’s left shoulder, when it’s looking at you; it’s on the right when you’re looking at it), symbolizing its Heart.  Ceres is at the other  or Action shoulder, promising Sustainability if we handle the ifs ands & buts effectively.

The base is a Sextile between Jupiter-Makemake and Varuna.  Sappho is moving along, but it’s still quite close to Jupiter-Makemake.  The base then is about Manifesting Self-Love from our Cells outward.

The Squares that make up the sides of the Muffin are Sappho-Jupiter-Makemake (SJM) to MHC and Varuna to Ceres.

The sides of a Muffin Configuration are Challenges.  The Configuration as a whole offers a great deal of help in converting the Challenges to Mastery.  We can say that the Ultimate Purpose of this Muffin is to Liberate us from the ghosts of Abuse and Privilege, by cementing Self-Love deep into our very Mitochondria and nucleic DNA.  What are the Challenges?

The first Challenge is an apparent Conflict between our Expanding Self-Love and Mission to Create on the one hand, and the Archetypes of Pleaser, Loyalty, Protocol, Obedience, and Appearances on the other.  The Archetypes are chains that hold us back.  How would we go about breaking these chains?  The chart recommends PIAVA.  For example…

• “I Wonder How I can make my Creative Ability Dominant and Permanent.”
• “Ganeshi, please Remove all Obstacles to my using the Energy embedded in historical Abuse to Power the Creative Potential of my Expanding Self-Love, and Manifest it into Material Form.”

The Muffin creates a Major and a Minor Tricolor for each Square.  The Major Tricolor foe the left-hand Square is MHC Square SJM Quincunx Ceres Trine MHC, and the Minor ia MHC Square SJM Quincunx Nessus-OR10 Sextile MHC.

The Major Tricolor for the right-hand Square is Ceres Square Varuna Quincunx MHC Trine Ceres, and the Minor Ceres Square Varuna Quincunx Nessus-OR10 Sextile Ceres.  Again, the handedness is from the Perspective of the Muffin.

The second Challenge is to replace the Competition Programming in our Cells with Cooperation Programming.  

Just to take a “trivial” example, did you know that “Weeds” are Soil Conditioners?  Dandelions aerate and recycle Minerals washed out by rain.  Clovers recycle the Nitrogen vital to Photosynthesis.  Clovers fed the ruminants that helped fertilize, and Dandelions were a prize food nutritionally for other Animals, including Hupers.

In the modern lawn, aeration is done by machine, Nitrogen recycling by fertilizers made by processing Natural Gas, and Mineral recyling not at all.  Food for Hupers, demineralized by industrial agriculture and diminished in nutrients by processing and shipping delays, comes from the freezer cabinets at the grocery store, before it goes into the microwave as a final step to make sure it contains only calories and not nutrients.

If Hupers ate Real, Live Food, they would have a harder time maintaining the Archetypal Hypnosis.

What PIAVAs might we use to address this second Challenge?  As examples…

• “Great Spirit, please Allow my Ego to Lovingly and Gently Embrace my Held Emotions, and Allow my Cells to Safely Let Go of the Heavy Metals and Toxic Chemicals that they hold.”
• “God/Goddess, Creator of All That Is, I Command that my Cellular Memory Lovingly and Gently and Rapidly and Completely Transmute all traces of Abuse.  It is Done, it is Done, it is Done.  Thank you, God/Goddess.”

We want to have our Tools (Tapping, Yes-And, Cancel-Neutralize-Upgrade, Poor Sweetheart, etc.) ready, and to be watchful for Upper Limits and Ego Deaths, and mindful to be Loving and Gentle with them, since this Muffin could accelerate the Changes significantly.

A Muffin Configuration is a Pentagram, the symbol of Manifestation Magic – apart from the recent Makemake-Jupiter-Sappho Initiations, which symbolize the Expansion of Self-Loving Creative Transformation into Matter.  The Muffin is taller than it is wide, implying that while it’s well Grounded in Substance, the emphasis is on Energy and Spirit.

As they say, give someone a Fish, and they’ll eat.  Give them a boat, and they’ll sit around all afternoon drinking Beer, but they might also catch a Fish, and feed themself.  While there are no Quintiles involved, the Muffin is a Pentagram, invoking the Fifth Harmonic – Learning.  This is not a one-time Gift of Grace, though if it were it would be fabulous; it’s a Gift of Learning.  

We’re told that “You can’t take it with you,” referring to the transfer of Material Abundance from one Lifetime to another.  But in fact, what you do take with you is what you’ve Learned about Manifestation.

Muffins 1

We might have named this Configuration already, but it looks too much like a Muffin to not rename it.  It’s basically a five-pointed Star in a box, and it’s primary implication is that our PIAVAs should work exceptionally well, as four of the lines in the Star symbolize Curiosity (Quincunxes) and the fifth Major Grace (Trine).

It’s an upside-down Square Fez with a fifth planet at the near Midpoint of the Trine.  You would create one by taking a Finger of God and putting two additional planets on either side of the point, each Sextile to the lead planet.  This makes the shoulders of the Muffin Square to the ends of the base of the Yod.

The Quincunxes, Trine, and three Sextiles would greatly ease the Challenge part of the Squares, accelerating the Mastery part.

We bring this up because this Muffin is the container for two new Initiations…

• Hylonome Initiates Mars 9:30am PDT 29 September at 2 Capricorn
• Chariklo Initiates Mars 5pm PDT 2 October at 4 Capricorn

These Initiate eighteen-month Cycles.

Hylonome-Mars will give us a choice – waste a lot of Energy wrestling with an Archetype, which btw are gargantuan, or use the Energy to break free from the Archetype.  Capricorn 2 is about the often-violent contest between Ritual and Intuition, between Tradition and Creativity.  Lots of Leverage here for enhancing Freedom.

Similarly, the Chariklo-Mars Cycle is about how much Energy we use Pleasing Other (other people, our Programming, our Ideals), and how much Energy we use Pleasing Ourself (our Values, our Heart, our Yintegrity).  Capricorn 4 is about gathering and inventorying our Tools in preparation for a significant Emotional Adventure.

A few folks are naturally Charismatic; for them this Cycle would be about How they invest their Charisma, How they put it to work, for what Purpose, and their Commitment to it.

In this particular Mars-Chariklo Cycle, we’re dealing with our Attachment to the Archetype of Pleasing.  As with the Mars-Hylonome Cycle, we will Choose – Consciously or Unconsciously – to Use our Energy to wrestle with the Archetype, or to Liberate ourself from it.

We’ll look at how the rest of the Muffin will steer these Energies in Muffins 2.  I think we can place our bets on Liberation.

Mars OOB 4 – Chariklo

My answer would probably be different every day, but if you asked me to choose a consummately Beautify Crystal, I’d often choose Apophyllite.  At least, if there wasn’t a Diamantino Quartz Crystal handy.

I’ve always said that

“Beauty has it’s own Karma”

meaning that being born beautiful, or handsome, or charming, or rich, or with a strong dose of any socially favorable characteristic that’s easily and quickly identified, brings with it special problems that the rest of us don’t encounter.  You may never have experienced what it’s like to have to earn the trust of others.  Many others will give you deference and acceptance unconditionally.  A few will hate you, but most of those will be ashamed of their envy and keep it out of your field.

Since most folks regard Karma as retribution rather than inertia, it’s common to see Innate Grace as “good Karma” rather than a Lifetime dedicated to becoming Conscious about overconfidence.  A Life with less difficulty than most is an incredible Blessing, nothing to be disparaged.  But do most folks in those shoes even see the suffering in the World, let alone feel it, or strive to soften it?  Like Milt Romney’s 47% gaff, sure, it’s easy to feel like you’re One with All, except for those 47% lazy-asses on the other side of the tracks.

Chariklo Initiated Mars an hour or so ago as I write.  Chariklo, like Chiron to whom she was married in myth, is astronomically a “Centaur” or minor planet with an irregular orbit between Jupiter and Neptune.  Because their orbits generally cross those of the giant planets, they’re considered unstable, and by astronomical standards short-lived.  But mythologically, Chariklo was a Water Nymph, and a Beauty.

The minor planet Chariklo got her name because her orbit is very close to round, unusual for a Centaur, and does not cross the orbit of a giant planet (Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter), also unusual – that is, her astronomical symmetry is lovely.  When discovered, she closely Opposed a tight Jupiter-Uranus-Ceres-Mercury Conjunction, and these were both members of a very tight Grand Trine with Mars, Pluto, Saturn, and the Moon.

To top it off, the Chariklo-JUCM Opposition is Squared closely by an Opposition between Chiron and Juno, making a Grand Cross.  In Leo in a Grand Sextile – implicitly two Grand Trines and six Kites – and a Grand Cross as well, she is indeed Charmed.  Her Discovery degree is 7 Leo, “The constellations of stars shine brilliantly in the night sky.“

Chariklo Initiated Mars at 23 Sagittarius, “A group of immigrants as they fulfill the requirements of entrance into the new country.”  Rudhyar, an immigrant himself, interprets that as “Consciously accepting the ways of a new stage of experience, in readiness for the opportunities it will present,” but we also want to remember that many immigrants are often treated like animals.  Emigration can be an excellent way to lose one’s Identity.  Either way…

Transition of some sort is indicated.  I’m reminded of a quote in a recent email from the New Economy Coalition…

“Let’s be real.  Those who have benefited from the concentration of wealth and power aren’t going to voluntarily give up their hold on society.  Our ideas for an alternative economy — no matter how beautiful, logical, or even necessary they are — aren’t going anywhere without a social movement powerful enough to demand real change and weather the repression as it inevitably arrives.”

How would we normally think of Mars-Chariklo?  Well, the envy comes to mind, and impatience when progress isn’t as rapid as our Charmed self (we are all Beautiful in our own way, even if not everyone sees it immediately) can easily imagine it being.  In the US, where for-profit “medicine” has produced a nightmare industry, Ty Bollinger’s excellent new series…

may also generate uncomfortable new challenges to privilege.

What can we learn from the previous two-year Mars-Chariklo Cycle?  It began in October 2012 at 11 Sagittarius, “In the left section of an archaic temple, a lamp burns in a container shaped like a human body.”  That’s a very fitting symbol for the span of Time including the End of It.  The left side is generally the receptive side, symbolizing Devolution, or the receipt of Spirit into Form, while the lamp represents Evolution, or the ascent of Form into Spirit, and Light into Human Consciousness.  This implies to me that the Mars-Chariklo Cycle is an important indicator of our process.

It would be interesting to trace recent Mars-Chariklo Cycles and the course of recent history.

Meanwhile, in a few hours Mars will Trine Eris.  While the Trine represents dumb-luck Grace, still there may be some Disturbance in the Force when the God of War meets his mythological sister Eris, the Goddess of Dischord.  Of course our own interpretation of Dischord is that it represents the Disruption of Denial – if there was no Denial or Judgment (which is a Denial of Equality and Unity), there would only be camaraderie, not Dischord.  So Change is again implied.

With Chariklo Trining Mars at about the same time as Mars Trining Eris, we’re inspired to investigate the Chariklo-Eris Cycle.  The Waning Chariklo-Eris Trine occurs on October 17 – basically, tomorrow.  Since the classical Golden Apple Eris story is about Confusion between Beauty and Vanity, and (Confusion being of course the first stage of Growth) their emergence into Consciousness, this should be an important Cycle as well.  Tomorrow’s event, however, is a Confidence-Builder.  The Can-Opener occurred on December 2013.  So, being finished with the Waning Trine, this Cycle is descending into the Void.

But what is/was this Chariklo-Eris Cycle about?  It was Initiated in mid-May 1975 at 14 Aries, “A serpent coiling near a man and a woman.”  To me that suggests a re-evaluation of their respective roles relative to one another, which has certainly occurred.  The Intiation was Conjunct Jupiter and Square Saturn, indicating major change in social structure.  It was also Semi-Sextile to Vesta – a Pattern-Breaker with respect to codified Belief, and Sextile to Mercury – an educational process.  That’s the Cycle, but we’re now entering the Void in it.

We can expect to see chaos (ie, potential) invading gender relations, a period of flux, for the next few decades.  The trend is still toward Equality, but the path will by no means be direct.  On the economic stage we’re leaving the Industrial Revolution, which included the industrialization of women, and getting ready to enter the Digital Era, the first phase of the Age of Aquarius. 

Aquarius is a conflicted Sign, from the Piscean perspective.  The Sign Aquarius is Fixed Air, which we can translate as Opionated Mind.  But it also represents Community, which, while relying on Opinionated Mind or prejudice to differentiate members from non-members, must also be Heart-Centered if it is to survive.  Heart-Centeredness within Community at the least, if not without.  While Aquarius is a Dynamic Sign, Heart-Centeredness is basically Magnetic.

The Digital Era has very sharp Edges.  Until the Quantum computer is everyday, there is no middle ground between Ones and Zeros.  “Machine Intelligence” is moving in the direction of the sort of “fuzzy logic” that the Heart demands, but for quite a while I expect a sharp split between two cultures as we enter the Age of Aquarius, one culture focused on rigid logic and fixed rules, and the other on Compassion and inclusiveness.  As we move into the new Chiron-Neptune Fresh Violets in an Ancient Pottery Bowl Cycle, we’ll probably continuing to see a rigid hierarchical mainstream and an inclusive egalitarian counterculture.

The Age of Aquarius spans two millennia, while the Digital Era spans only two centuries (The span of Jupiter-Saturn Conjunctions in Air Signs).  The Digital Age will be followed by an Era of Creativity (Two centuries of Jupiter-Saturn Conjunctions in Fire Signs) and an Era of Nurture (Water Signs).  The eventual core of the Age of Aquarius – a millennium or so from now – should involve “Sympathy and understanding, harmony and trust abounding.”  Relative to this future herstory, our current efforts exploring alternate ways of organizing economy and society are infantile but germinal. 

In the Kin of Ata model, quintessential Community – the Buddhist Heaven – happens in the winter, because it’s winter and as such it’s clear to all but the Ixions that Community is essential for Survival.  Our prayers should be centered around the Age of Aquarius moving toward a celebration of Midsummer’s Day (if not a Midsummer Night’s Dream), more than toward a forced sharing of Scarcity.

In “Buddhist Hell,” we are assembled before a great table containing a sumptuous feast, but our elbows are extended and locked, so we can only drool.  That’s our current situation of extreme inequality. 

But in “Buddhist Heaven,” everyone feeds Other.  That’s an excellent example of Chironean Miracle – a simple obvious-after-the-fact shift of perspective that doesn’t merely solve an insoluble problem, it disappears it.
