The next thing we notice about the 17 June (9:30 pm PDT) Eris-Juno Initiation, is an additional dose of Grace…

In the form of a Fire Grand Trine (Dumb-Luck Blessings, the big blue triangle above) among the Initiation itself, Abandoned Genius Ixion, and Sustainable Authenticity Moon-Ceres.  It’s augmented by two additional corners, making five of the six corners we’d need for a Grand Sextile (Great Blessings flowing from our Actions).  The two additional corners are Rebirth Haumea, and Essential Potential Sun-Chaos, leaving the sixth corner, or Vacancy, at 26 Aquarius, “A mechanic testing a car battery with a hydrometer.”

The Vacancy is of course Energy we will have to supply Consciously in order to complete the Grand Sextile and Activate the Blessings – the Intuition, Knowledge, and Willingness to Risk and Learn needed to Troubleshoot when we encounter Difficulty.

Finally, we return to Curiosity when we look at the Square Fez…

A Square Fez is a trapezoid with Squares (90 degrees, the red lines) on the non-parallel sides.  It signifies a complex problem that is Resolved (not Solved) by following the (green) diagonal Quincunxes, or Curiosities.  The interacting Dilemmas are the mismatch between Fear and Sustaining Authenticity, and between Rebirth and Self-Sovereignty.  These are astrological Angles, not word games, so our usual Language-based approach to a World that is much bigger than Language, may not work.

For instance, Sustaining Authenticity is usually Scary, but is that the issue here?  Maybe it’s about Being Authentic when we’re in Fear.  We won’t know till we Experience it.  We may get clues from the Signs – for instance, Authenticity is in Leo, which we could read as a further admonition not to fake it.  And Sedna is in Taurus, which could indicate our Scarcity.  And how does that interact with Self-Sovereignty and Rebirth?

It’s the Quincunxes that hold the answers.  First we need to remind ourself that Curiosity, Like Love, is an Emotional State to be Sought, not a Problem to be Solved.  We use our PIAVAs to Invite our Intuition to look beyond what our mind, constrained as it is by our Limiting Beliefs, can see. 

We might try “I Wonder how my Self-Sovereignty and my Authenticity might serve one another.”  Then we Change the Subject, because if we don’t put our mind elsewhere, our habitual Patterns of thought will keep us in our old Birdcage.  And we might Ask, “Am I Afraid of Rebirth?” and then Change the Subject.  Later we’d Pay Attention to see if any Insights appeared to us.  We might use Tapping or Poor-Sweethearting or further PIAVAing to follow up on any Insights that did appear, to see what else we might Learn from them.

We’ve been describing the chart of the Eris-Juno Initiation, which, using three-Degree Sensitivity, will to some degree describe our Experience of this weekend.  But, with six-Degree Sensitivity, it will also describe the processes of the next four years, and this new Juno-Eris Cycle unfolds.  We don’t have nearly enough mental bandwidth to follow all 2,000 Cycles, but we can Intend that, when an issue relevant to a give Cycle arises, we Remember the nature of the specific Cycle and gain Perspective from it.

For example, this Initiation is at 24 Degrees; what do we have in our natal chart near 24 Degrees?  We can expect that over the next four years these places in our Life will be enhanced (and probably, along the way, also complicated or troubled) by the Coming into Consciousness of that which had been previously Denied.  We might spend a few moments Asking ourself, with regard to each of our natal planets around 24 Degrees, “What am I Denying about the Influence of this Planet?”

For instance, if we have natal Mars near 24 Degrees, we might Ask ourself “What Angers might I be harboring without being fully Conscious of them?  Have I made Compromises in order to skate around these, avoiding full Authenticity?  Is there any way I might unravel these Patterns Lovingly, Gently, Rapidly, and Completely?  Do I have a Belief that it’s better to Get Along than to be searingly Authentic?  How might my Loyalty to that Belief Contribute to my Lifelong Frustrations?”

We know that this weekend, and the chart of the Initiation, and therefore the next four years, is permeated by the Stations of Makemake and Neptune.  So we know that there are Big Changes afoot around how we Manifest, and around how we view the Material and Spiritual Worlds.  The Initiation chart has hinted about Sustainability and Fear of Scarcity.  We’ve been emphasizing Authenticity and Fear, but we could also emphasize Sustainability and Fear.

It may be useful to Remember that the other side of the Sustainability coin is Sustenance, which involves Eliminating what is Unnecessary.  It may be useful for us to Prioritize what we Really Want in our Lives.

So, in addition to the Cornucopia (or the Illusion of a Cornucopia) in the Sabian Symbol, what does the chart of the Eris-Juno Initiation tell us?  Because the three major events that dominate this weekend all occur in different Degrees, they each have Different Stories to tell.

The first Story told is that the Most Important Thing is our Self-Sovereignty…

Which is to say, the Eris-Juno Initiation chart features a T-Square to Lilith.  A T-Square (the red triangle) is a Challenge, a Temptation to yield to Frustration, and an Invitation to become Adept at dealing with the subtleties of the Challenge.  Lilith is about Self-Sovereignty.  If that’s not self-Explanatory, it “just” means you take your Orders from yourself, not from Others.  Even if it’s your Ego issuing the Orders, rather than your Soul or other element of your Higher Self, that can still be good practice.

Of course the Patriarchy marks Lilith’s Rebellion as Egoic, since Competition is what the Patriarchy Understands, and Female Self-Sovereignty was and is a criminal Betrayal to the Patriarchy.

We’ve included Pluto and Klotho with Lilith, even though they’re a bit more than three Degrees from the Degree of the Initiation; they’re more than close enough to have a strong influence on any Project that we’d Begin this weekend, and as we’ll see, this chart strongly suggests we’ll be Reborn.

Pluto adds the element of Compulsion to Self-Sovereignty.  The New Lilith-Pluto Cycle began in mid-May at 22 Capricorn, “By accepting defeat gracefully, a general reveals nobility of character.”  Lilith-Pluto is a nine-year Cycle, and the Patriarchy is unlikely to accept defeat, gracefully or otherwise, by 2027, though of course we needn’t exclude the possibility. 

However, the Sabian Symbol suggests continued major progress.  Bear in mind though that during the first quarter of any Cycle, the Resistance of the Olde Order dominates the airwaves, so to find evidence of the New during this period, we need to Look For It.  #MeToo may encounter some defeats of its own here.  We can expect the Apparent Tide to shift at the Lilith-Pluto Waxing Square, around the time that the two-century Digital Age begins in earnest, in 2020-2021. 

Our job in the interim is to continue to Conspire to promote the New Cycle, for instance by Acting and Speaking as though the Patriarchy has already Surrendered.  The folks who are on the fence gain the Courage to step up when they hear enough Voices and see enough Commitment to know that they won’t be Alone when they do, so at this stage our Voices and Actions are even more influential than usual, even though the media will repeatedly emphasize our minority or ignore us entirely.

Klotho, of course, represents New Beginnings.  The latest 4-year Klotho-Pluto Cycle (Realizing that our old methods don’t work, and starting over) began at the March Equinox in the same 22 Capricorn, reinforcing the same Energy as the New Lilith-Pluto Cycle.

The New Klotho-Lilith Cycle (Initiating New Patterns of Self-Sovereignty) began in mid-February at 11 Capricorn, “A large group of pheasant on a private estate.”  This is a picture of the Closure of the Commons.  In the Patriarchy, Greed is Good.  We can easily envision a wall of hungry immigrants just beyond the fence of the estate, adding an Overpopulation picture to the Greed picture, and challenging our Beliefs about WeAreAllOne. 

The whole “what if everyone did that?” pseudo-argument that was used to try to Manipulate and Control many of us by our Programmers, comes to mind.  Lots of Fears to be Let Go Of in this nine-year Cycle.

The base of the Lilith T-Square is the Opposition between the Eris-Juno Initiation itself (the Coming into Consciousness of that which Has Previously Been Denied) and Haumea (Rebirth) – so you can see why we stretched our Sensitivity to Birth proportions and included Klotho.  Bear in mind that Denial is a healthy psychological Response to that which would Overwhelm our Ego and threaten to reverse our Growth in Consciousness.

But the Big Deal here is that this isn’t a usual T-Square, it’s a Diamond Star, which is formed when the focus of the T-Square (Lilith) is also the focus of a Yod (the green wedge).  This creates the “bowl of Grace” (blue lines) under the T-Square, as it’s Bridged by Sun-Chaos (Unlimited Potential is our Essence) and Moon-Ceres (Sustainable Authenticity).

A Diamond Star is interpreted as a Challenge that Resolves itself, as the bowl of Grace Acts to Mediate the Challenge.  Not only that, but this T-Square has two additional Bridges, a Trine (Grace) Bridge through dwarf planet Ixion (our Abandoned Genius), and a Quincunx (Curiosity) Bridge through Sedna (Facing and Embracing Fear as Power)…

Ixion, the Cosmic Bad Boy, represents your Best Qualities and Strongest Skills, which your Programmers, through Competition or their own Programming, Suppressed.  It’s been Opposing, and continues to Oppose, dwarf planet Chaos, symbolizing the Unlimited Potential that will be available to us when we Recover our Abandoned Genius.

And Sedna doesn’t just form a Quincunx Bridge, it’s the apex of a Yod from the Sextile between Ixion and Haumea – Pay Attention to your Fears in order to midwife the Rebirth of your Hidden Genius.  Fear is Power Rejected, Power we Fear.  Meet it with Breathing, Tapping, Kegels, Poor-Sweethearts, and PIAVAs.  Practice till you automatically and instantly shift from Fear to Excitement.  Fear is the Absence of Love, and Love Is All There Is.  When you’re in Fear, you aren’t in Is, you’re in Aren’t.

But, this is a Quincunx Bridge – it’s about Curiosity, as is the Yod.  So we’ll have to avoid drawing any Conclusions about our Fear, or about The Fear.  We Want it to be more like “I’m Scared, I Wonder How I’ll Feel and What Will Happen when I do Kegels.”  Rather than “Great, those Kegels replaced my Fear with Excitement,” try “Wow, I Wonder where this Excitement will Lead me.” 

You want to Wonder about “What Will Happen” when you Embrace your Fear because it will Change your Beliefs, potentially your Core Beliefs (especially with Ixion and Chaos involved in the Dance), and when your Beliefs Change, the World Changes.

Because they’re so close in Time, we really have to consider the 16 June Makemake Station and the 17 June Eris-Juno Initiation and the 18 June Neptune Station as all one astroevent.  They cover most of the Zodiac – with our minimal three-Degree Sensitivity they together span 0-6 and 14-27 Degrees, leaving only 7-13 and 28-29 bare.  With six Degrees of Sensitivity (or “Orb” if you speak astologuese), which we’d normally use for reviewing any new Project, including any Personal Rebirth, we cover all but a few Degrees of the Zodiacal Loop.

That means “Nobody Gets Out Alive,” if we’re talking about Egos – everyone gets Transformed to some degree this weekend.  So we’ve summarized the Makemake Station as The End of Self-Sabotage.  Let’s look at the 17 June Eris-Juno Initiation (9:30 pm PDT) before we try to combine the three events.

Our favorite astroevents are Stations and Initiations, Stations because they Infuse our Planet with the Energy of the Stationary planet.  They’re when the Stationary planet is at its Strongest, and our best Opportunity to Learn about that planet.  Of course, when several big events Converge, we Learn more about the Convergence than about the Planet – this weekend we’re Learning more about Neptune-Makemake, with a big dash of Juno-Eris, than about either Neptune or Makemake.

We would Expect Neptune-Makemake to be slippery, as Neptune is slippery.  Most Important, Confusion is the first Stage of Growth.  Neptune represents Material Confusion but Spiritual Clarity.  Now, since Makemake is about Manifesting into Matter and Form, Material Confusion isn’t going to help us Learn much about Makemake – unless we have a very Open mind, a Cosmic sense of Humor, and use PIAVAs a lot.  Using PIAVAs a lot, we’re accustomed to Funhouse Mirrors (in the Pay Attention phase), where Distortions are our Teachers.

Let’s take an example.  We have our Lifelong Unsatisfied Longing.  We toggle, as we have all our Life, from “God I Want That” to “It’s Not Possible” and back again.  If you’re like me, you’ve been through that Fish-outa-Water flip-flop a couple of times already this weekend.  To be “jerked around by Reality” so frequently and violently would normally be Devastating.  But not this weekend, right?

First of all, we’ve gotten hip to our Chironean Victim that Believes itself to be “Jerked around by Reality,” and we’ve started to Take some Responsibility for it, Realizing that it’s our own Conflicting Unconscious or Semi-Conscious Desires and Goals that make it feel like we’re being Jerked around.  Which means that instead of Despairing about our Hopelessness, we’re instead a bit Dazed – Confused – by the Topsy-Turvy-ness of it all. 

Which is Exactly where we need to be, as in order to Grow, we need to regard Confusion as an Emotion to be Felt and Embraced exactly as it is, rather than as a Problem to be Solved.  We’ll Learn more about that, and about how it Relates to Curiosity, when we discuss the Yods and Fezzes in the Eris-Juno Initiation chart.  Curiosity, if we Enjoy it as an Emotion to be Felt and Embraced exactly as it is, rather than as a Problem to be Solved, is akin to Love, as both Eschew Judgment.  We all know that “the greatest of these is Love” – and Curiosity is only a step behind.

And second, we’ve gotten some Insight into the fact that our Lifelong Unsatisfied Longing isn’t just a Conundrum of our own making; it’s a nanoscale Reflection of a Millennia-Scale Shift that’s happening on this Planet.  The Frustration and Confusion aren’t just Yours – they’re Planetary.  As Below, So Above.  The Consciousness of the Planet, and of every Entity on it, is Evolving, and your Confusion and resulting Growth (if you can Avoid the Problem-to-be-Solved Reaction) are a tiny tiny but oh-so-Essential part of that Evolution.

And you may well have, at least on occasion, make the leap from Victim-of-Circumstances to Victim-of-Your-Own-Conflicting-Choices and on to “Oh Right, I Remember, That’s What I Came Here For!”  If you’ve read this far, you’re an “Old Soul” and a Healer.  The very Conundrum that has been so Confounding your Ego, is the very Planetary Issue that your Soul Chose to Take this Lifetime for, so you could Help the Planet Evolve.  You only need to “Unbecome everything that isn’t you so you can Become who you were meant to Be in the first place.“

Which brings us to Initiations.  The Energies that bathe us Dance in Cycles.  If we use four planets, we have six Cycles.  Say we use Moon, Mars, Juno, and Pluto.  Then our Cycles are Moon-Mars, Moon-Juno, Moon-Pluto, Mars-Juno, Mars-Pluto, and Juno-Pluto.  Every time we start a new Cycle, we Change the Water – the Zeitgeist of the Energy that bathes us Changes.  Many people pay attention to Changes of Sign, when for example Sun leaves Gemini and enters Cancer.  That’s a similar kind of Change.

Since we usually pay attention to 44 planets, that’s a heck of a lot of Cycles – almost 2,000 of them I think, way too many to keep track of.  But the End of one Cycle and the Beginning of the Next is an important milestone, and fortunately some of the 2,000 Cycles only Change their Water at long intervals – for instance, the Neptune-Makemake Cycle lasts 51,000 years or so. 

So while we’ve had an unusually large number of New Cycles lately (as we’d Expect with the Planet Shifting so), there’s only one New Cycle starting this weekend.  Not counting the Moon Cycles, which we usually ignore because they last only a month – there’s a new Moon-Ceres Cycle starting this weekend too.  Since Moon symbolizes Authenticity and Ceres Sustainability, that’s actually important.

Ceres Initiates the Moon on 17 June at 7pm PDT in 26 Leo – “After the heavy storm, a rainbow.”  Sounds like the next month holds the Potential for a Pot O’Gold.

We refer to the Beginning of a New Cycle as an Initiation, because it’s as if the slower (more Powerful, from the Soul’s Perspective) planet delivers Shaktipat or an assignment to the faster (more Powerful, from the Ego’s Perspective) planet.  We interpret the nature of the Cycle from two sources – the Degree of the Initiation and its Sabian Symbol, and the chart of the Initiation.

So in our Moon-Ceres example, the Consciousness of Sustainability says to the Consciousness of Authenticity, “You’ve been working very hard, why don’t you take a month off and Enjoy the Beauty of what you’ve Created.”  Of course each of us shares a shard of the Consciousness of Sustainability and a shard of the Consciousness of Authenticity, so we Feel this Change through those Channels. 

As for the chart of the Initiation, it features Makemake and Neptune Stationary, and Eris Initiating Juno.  That’s a bit heavier, more like “Wow, this Cycle’s going to be a doozy.  By focusing on the Beauty of what you’ve Created, you’ll Manifest the Vibration that you Want.  It’s better to do this without direct Conscious Intention, so the Ego interferes less, as your Consciousness is due for Revelations that may feel like a Shock, and you don’t want to Resist.”

In the case of the more Profound (it spans eight years rather than one month) Eris-Juno Initiation at 9:30 pm PDT 17 June in 24 Aries, the Sabian Symbol is “Blown inward by the Wind, the curtains of an Open window take the shape of a Cornucopia.”  Which says to me that, if we can Avoid the Problem-to-Be-Solved Reaction to our Neptunian Confusion, we will be opening up to great Abundance around our Lifelong Unsatisfied Longing.  If you contemplate that for a few minutes, I’ll wager you’ll find that you already have.

By the way, when we’re referring to the Cycle, we put the faster (Ego) planet first, because it’s zipping ahead of the slower planet and in the process Acting Out the Cycle.  When we’re referring to the Initiation, we put the slower (Soul) planet first, because it’s the one providing the Shaktipat or assignment.  Of course which planet is Ego (faster) and which one Soul (slower) is relative; in the Moon-Ceres Cycle, Moon/Autheticity is Ego and Ceres/Sustainability is Soul, but in the Ceres-Jupiter Cycle, Sustainability represents Ego while Expansion/Jupiter plays the role of Soul.

And, given the recent New Moon, we’re likely to be working on old and new levels and layers of our Self-Sovereignty Issues.  Are we Manifesting What We Want?  What are the Hiccups in that process showing us about What We Still Need to Let Go Of?  Are we Compromising What We Want because of What Others Want?  Or because of What Others In our Personal or Karmic History Wanted?  Be Mindful that What We Want is always a Funhouse-Mirror Reflection of our True Mission.

As we move through this Intense span, Notice frequently What You’re Feeling.  How does it Compare to How You Want to Feel, or How You Expect to Feel when you Receive What You Want?  Are you Grounded?  Are you in Neutrality, or do you have Investments that Need to Bear Fruit before you can Relax into Acceptance?  If you’re Feeling Disappointment by recent Failures of Important Desires, how does your Current Disappointment Compare to your Past Disappointments about this?

You may find Remarkable Progress where there appeared to be crushing Disappointment.  As we “follow and develop our spiritual pathway of awakening and remembering our truth,” What We Want Changes, because We Change.  We Open to a wider Perspective and we see the World Differently.  Our Mission is the same, but our View of it is from a new place.  Celebrate the Shift.

The Killer-Whale Volcano eating Huper-dwellings last month.

Neither UFOs (supposedly) nor Witch Doctors, these remarkable People are called “Sprites,” and they’re a kind of Lightning that occurs on the top of Thunderstorms, 30-50 miles high (commercial airliners fly around 7 miles up), rather than on the bottom, Earthly side of the Storms.  Technically they aren’t Lightning per se (which is hot), but a cold plasma thing.  Like Lightning, though, they’re Electrical Discharges.

And one of my favorite psychedelic pictures of Jupiter ([mind]-Expansion) taken by the Earthcraft (not the asteroid) called Juno (the Edges of Consciousness).

Astrobuss veterans know that we like to point out what we call a Mjölnir, which is Norwegian for Hammer of Thor.  While Marvel Comics likes to consider Thor’s Hammer as uncontestably destructive, it’s Deeper Meaning is more about Sudden Illumination – Lightning.  A Mjölnir occurs when a third planet sits at the far Midpoint of a Square…

Here, in today’s New Moon chart (13 June 12:30 pm PDT), we see Jupiter sitting at the Far Midpoint of the Mercury-Chiron Square – perhaps mind-blowing, Healing Epiphanies about Understand the Roots of our Habitual Suffering and Despair. 

Our New Moon Celebrity Pluto-Lilith (Mandatory Self-Sovereignty), Square to Juno-Eris (That Which Has Been Denied, Now Coming Into Consciousness), is also one corner of the base of a second Mjölnir that focuses on dwarf planet Orcus (Oath-Making and -Breaking), indicating that as we come to Understand the Roots of our Habitual Suffering, we may Recall or Recant the Original Oath we made that morphed into the Unconscious Limitations we now Feel as Suffering and Despair.

Eris Initiates a new Cycle with Juno at 9:30 pm PDT 17 June, in 24 Aries.  As we mentioned a few posts back…

“Eris Initiates Juno on 17 June (9:30 pm PDT), halfway between the Makemake Station and the Neptune Station, in 24 Aries – ‘Blown inward by the Wind, the curtains of an Open window take the shape of a Cornucopia.’  That’s an amazing omen, as it indicates a profound Opening of the Natural Mind (Wind) through a gap in the walls of the Concept-Set (Birdcage) through which our Unconscious Beliefs Manifest.  The Juno-Eris Cycle spans five years.”
