Stellia and Enlightenment 2

We were working on the idea that Conjunctions and Stellia (groups of 3 or more planets close together) mean that some of our normal Cultural- and Language-Determined Distinctions (like Boy vs Girl, Blue vs Green, Idiotic vs. Imbecilic) get Merged, so we end up looking at People, Cool Colors, and Dumb instead. Each of these is a tiny Enlightenment. For instance, when we wake up one day and see People instead of Boys vs Girls, it’s Consciousness-Expanding. And we were using the very unusual Total Lunar Eclipse of 27-28 September 2015, which was loaded with Stellia and Conjunctions, as an excellent example. Just looking at the Eclipse itself, the Moon was in a Stellia of three, and the Sun was in a Stellia of eight, ie, unheard of. So what happens to our perspective when 8 of our normal Distinctions all run together? Well, let’s start with the simpler, the Stellia of 3…

• Eclipsed Moon – Instincts, Illuminated
• Vesta – Unconscious Limitations
• True South Node – Held Emotion

Our Held Emotions form the most Persistent Core of our Karma, as long ago we were highly Motivated to Never Think About Them again. They were too Painful. Often they were also Verboten in the Current Lifetime by our Programmers, cementing their Banishment for us.¹ Bringing them up into Consciousness by accident is almost impossible, because the clues are usually disguised by Addiction, Illness, or Culturally-Approved Victimizations. Dedicated and Persistent PIAVAs are Required.

¹ Forbidding something is probably the best way to assure that it gets constant Attention. Combining Forbidding and Punishing can drive an Energy into the Unconscious and Lock the door behind it, but that only means that we think about it all the time, without actually Recognizing it.

Our Unconscious Limitations are already the same thing as Held Emotions, but seen from a different Perspective. We just “don’t go there,” and our Behavior is so well-Justified that there’s no reason we’d ever want to. I’d Do Anything for Love, but I Won’t Do That! They’re Walled Off very Effectively by Judgments – in fact our Pet Peeves are often the best Clue to our Unconscious Limitations, but our Pet Peeves are Pictures of Our Identity – of Our Ego itself! The Ego has already made it Clear to anyone who will Listen that they’re Off-Limits. So this is an Effortless Merger!

But our Instincts! Only Carl Jung defined our Karma as a Persistent and Dedicated Effort by the Unconscious to get us to Open to and Accept our Held Emotions. So this sort of Merger is a Given to Jungians and followers of his followers. In Normal Circumstances for most people, this triple Merger would Precipitate a Major Crisis, as we would be forced to Admit or Reveal our Most Shameful Secrets. At the very least we’d be Hiding in a Cave somewhere, so no one would be allowed to Witness our Shame.

But these weren’t Normal Circumstances! Look at the Other Side of this Eclipse – a Stellium of eight planets – I don’t recall ever seeing that before!

While our Ego is Lost in Shame, our Essence is Bathing in the Bright Light of Our Lifetime Mission. Our Mission is so multidimensional that our Ego and 2D Mind seldom actually Witness more than a Whiff of it. But here we’re Immersed in the Urge to Grow in Consciousness, and Intuitively we know that the most Powerful way to do that is to Open to a Held Emotion. With Emphasis on Self-Sovereignty, we’re less concerned than usual about What Everyone Else Will Think of us, which has potential to Neutralize our Shame.

Sisyphus and Tantalus are cousins in the Psyche, both dealing as they do with Forever – Sisyphus Condemns us to Repeat a Task Forever, and Tantalus leaves us Forever Frustrated because the Objects of our Desire Dissolve just as we are about, at long last, to Enjoy Them. Indeed, few things are more Tantalizing than the Desire to Complete our Sisyphean Tasks. Both make excellent adjectives for describing Karma.

Sisyphus and Tantalus are named like “Centaurs,” which are comet-like dwarf planets with elongated 50-100+ year orbits between Jupiter and Pluto, of which Chiron is the most well known. But they aren’t Centaurs at all, they’re “Apollos” – Near-Earth Asteroids that orbit between Venus and Mars. Tantalus is considered a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid, as it’s 4km/2½mi wide and comes within 16 LD (Moon-to-Earth Distances) of Earth, orbiting every 18 months between 0.9 and 1.7 AU (Distance from the Sun, where Sun-to-Earth is 1.0). Sisyphus is a little less dangerous, approaching within “only” 40 LD from Earth though at 9km/5½mi wide it’s bigger than Tantalus. It orbits every 30 months, between 0.9 and 2.9 AU. For comparison, Mars orbits at 1.4-1.7 AU, Venus at 0.7 AU.

Their presence in the 8-fold Merger tempts us to Imagine what Life will be like for us when our Karma is no longer Interminable, nor Fruitless. Panacea tells us that this Merger is a Healing! So it was entirely possible for a Witness to the 27-28 September 2015 Blood Moon to Experience a Significant Burst of Enlightenment. And whether we Witnessed it visually or not, we couldn’t Hide from the Energy of a Blood Moon like this one.

But what about the Kassandra T-Square, the thick red triangle that Challenges the Full Moon? The Full Moon is already a Debate, like any Opposition a Tension between the two sides of a Tug-of-War. But here the two sides are in total agreement – we need to Embrace our Held Emotions to Move into Enlightenment and 5D. So where’s the Tension? Kassandra means Disbelief. Who are we to Claim to be Enlightened? Everyone we know who does that is either a Guru or an Obvious Egotist, sometimes Both.

The green wedge pointing at Kassandra says that the T-Square is Self-Resolving. There’s nothing we need to do except somehow refrain from Interfering in the process as it Unfolds, since it may not Unfold all at once. It can actually help to be Unaware of the astrology at this point, because our lack of Awareness might help prevent our Interference. How does the Self-Resolution Unfold?

The two long green lines are “Quincunxes” – an “Unx” is one twelfth, here 1/12th of the Zodiac or one Sign, and “Quin” is of course 5 – the green lines are 5 Signs long. A Quincunx means Curiosity. Not Curiosity in the sense I gotta figure this out! but Curiosity in the sense of Awe. So our most appropriate Response to the Eclipse would be to Watch or Experience it Slack-Jawed, in Awe. A Quincunx is a Mystery School, where we need to put our 2D tools (Mind) back in the toolchest, Ask to be Informed, and Wait for nD tools to reveal themselves.

There’s a Mysterious Relationship here between Pan, the Primary God of Nature, and Disbelief, that’s somehow involved with the Manifestation of our Enlightenment. And another Mysterious Relationship between Disbelief and The Birth (Klotho) of a New Field (Arachne). Arachne is Grandmother Spider, Who Weaves the Web of Life. So there are things that are Unfolding which are beyond what we can Understand Intellectually.

What sort of nD Relationships with Disbelief are we talking about here? The 2D Mind will only have enough bandwidth to find Metaphors, but we might be able to get more Intuitive Perspective by Asking for a download from our Teachers and Ancestors on the Other Side of the Veil. Just because someone’s on the Other Side, that doesn’t mean they Know more than you do already, but Suzanne introduces simple ways to Validate what you’re Picking Up. If you aren’t in steady Contact with the Other Side of the Veil already, there’s at least a Talking Mirror here. Validation is important, as our Comprehension of this New Field (Klotho-Arachne) is Explicitly Challenged by Untruthes (Square to asteroid Pinocchio).

There’s one more Stellium and one more Conjunction in this Blood Moon chart, so we haven’t Exhausted the Opportunities for mini-Enlightenments yet. They’re Linked to Pan through a Grand Cross (four planets more or less equally spaced around the Zodiac) which introduces a Series of Small Challenges that Complement one another. A Grand Cross is Self-Resolving, though there may be some Temporary Discomfort if the segments of the Resolution are separated in Time.

The Stellium involves Intrusive Memories (Gonggong), Truth of the Mind (Veritas), and Confusion (Neptune). The Intrusive Memories are highly likely to be Clues about our Held Emotions, if we Pursue them as Teachings, and sidestep the Temptation to Relive them as Coulda Woulda Shouldas. The Intrusive Memories Intruded in 2015, but remember that Everything that Ever Happened in a Place Is Still Going On, and we have the advantage that by reviewing the astrology we’re Indirectly Triggering our Experience of the 2015 Eclipse, even if we don’t Remember Experiencing its Energy.

The Truth of the Mind tells us to Compare Everything we Learn here to What We Already Know, but not to Reject Anything that doesn’t Agree, but to Practice our Skill with “Cognitive Dissonance,” the Practice of Holding Contradictory Propositions in Mind at the Same Time without Argument between them, which is Essential Practice for using our Mentality in Dimensions higher than 2.

Neptune, Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity, here completes the Suite by Reminding us that Confusion is the First Stage of Growth in Consciousness. Without Being Comfortable with Confusion and Standing Still for It, we’ll never get to Allowing Cognitive Dissonance to Enliven Paradox. One trick to make it easier to Live with Neptune, is to shift our Vision from the Mind to the Heart, as the Heart Perceives Spirit and its Clarity. If we Channel the 2015 Blood Moon fully here, we won’t be able to Discern the Difference between Intellectual Truth, Confusion, and Ancient Memory, and that’s Important to Grokking the Enlightenment.

Besides Pan and the Gonggong Triad, the third member of the Grand Cross is the Merger between Mars and Orcus – only two Concepts to Merge – how Easy by now, right? Mars is about Action, and Orcus is about Pattern-Making and Pattern-Breaking, namely, Creating and Letting Go of Karma. So we’re Expected to Actively Let Go of any Attachment we have to Self-Sabotaging Habits. The subscript is that Anger may be involved in our Held Emotions, and that there may be Resistance to Letting Go of our Anger, especially if we’ve heavily Invested our Ego into being Victims of our Pet Peeves.

Mars was the God of War, and there’s nothing he Enjoys more. Orcus was the Enforcer of Oaths in pre-Roman days in what is now Italy, and his methods were gruesome, as most of the Oaths he Enforced were involved Commitment to Armies. Commitment to things like Fidelity were not even considered in those days. We were Free then to Abuse anyone or anything of lower status than ours. Financial Commitments were probably more one-way Commitments than two-way “Bargains” as Civilized Law expects. There’s probably no more Important Held Emotion to Embrace, than Anger, as we Experience Anger in the Unconscious as Anger Directed Toward us. Another Clue.

Finally, the fourth corner of the Grand Cross contained The Fall of Overtechnologized Civilization (asteroid Atlantis). If any of your Strategies involve Increasing Complexity, turn around and Walk toward Simplicity instead. Universal Equality and Respect for All Things is probably as Simple as we can get.

Intuitive Confidence V – Lesson Plan

The Asbolus Station chart, and the New Moon after it, features no less than three Quintile Yods.  A Yod is a wedge-shaped triangle.  A Quintile is two planets one fifth of the way ’round the Zodiac from one another.  It means Learning and Teaching, the Fifth Harmonic.  We usually draw them in orange (though they look more red here).  A Quintile Yod is made up of two Biquintiles (two fifths of the way ’round) and one Quintile, making a narrow triangle, like these…

The three Quintile Yods include…

• A Nemesis QYod on a base of Stationary Asbolus and Venus – we will be Learning about Ego Death with our Intuition and our Values as our Teachers
• An Ixion-Saturn-Lilith QYod on a base of Pallas and Ceres-Aletheia-Mnemosyne – We’re finally Learning that it’s Most Important to Support the Sovereignty of our Hidden Genius, as we Remember the Truth of the Abuse that forced Her underground, and Learn to draw Boundaries to Protect Her
• A North Node QYod on a base of Chiron and Pluto – This one is Big too; we’re Learning to Support our Lifetime Mission (whether we recognize it Consciously or not), by Accepting the necessary Self-Transformations and Empathizing with the Pain of the resulting Ego Deaths

One Quintile Yod is fairly unusual; three of them at once is a Graduate School.

In the previous post, https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2017/09/18/intuitive-confidence-iv-asbolus/, we drew in, in light lines, the ongoing Earth Grand Trine that includes the 17 September Chariklo Station, partly to remind us that it’s still about, and partly to point out that… 

• Orcus Initiated Mercury in 10 Virgo on 17 September (6pm PDT).
• Orcus Initiated Moon in 10 Virgo on 18 September (noon PDT).
• Orcus Initiates Mars in 10 Virgo on 19 September (10:30 am PDT).

10 Virgo is “Two heads looking out and beyond the shadows,” which Rudhyar interprets as Transcending Duality.  Wouldn’t that be nice.  Orcus is about Oath-Making and Oath-Breaking.  The Etruscan God Orcus was in charge of Punishing Oath-Breakers.  Oaths serve only to enforce Slavery, whether to outside Authority or to our own mind.  A distant Ancestor once took an Oath to Breathe Oxygen, so we can’t dismiss Oaths completely – we’re Creatures of Habit, and we’d all be stumbling around like one-year-olds if we weren’t, if we made it to year one. 

However, there’s a one-to-one relationship between Oaths we’ve made and Archetypes that Enslave us.  We live 99% from the Unconscious, and many of the Archetypal Programs running in the Unconscious are Limiting Beliefs.  Since those Limiting Beliefs travel with us from Lifetime to Lifetime, we’ve Vowed to Escape from some of them during the current Lifetime.  The Etruscans were right – Breaking an Oath requires Punishment, and we feel it as Guilt. 

Yes, we Disappoint and Abandon many people, in this Lifetime and others, when we disavow an Oath, and that doesn’t feel good.  This Discomfort is part of our Ego Death.  We use the Ego to Merge with an Oath to create a Limiting Belief – it Defines us – otherwise we wouldn’t reliably Obey it.  So Transcending it requires an Ego Death.  

Quintiles

“Could you please post an article about the Quintile series of aspects?  I have hard time understanding how they work together, and the specific vibration of each one of them.  That would be: decile (36°), quintile (72°), bi-quintile (144°) and tredecile (108°).  I understand that the quintile is the matrix of all the others, but it is hard to grasp the working mechanic of the series.  This would be very helpful. Thank you so much.“

Sure.  I’ll even do it in bold italic, since these kinds of underlying geometries are bottom line to the way we do astrology.

I use Angeles Arrien’s excellent Tarot Handbook to define the “Harmonics.”  If two planets are a fifth of the way ’round the Zodiacal loop from one another, they are “Quintile” to one another, and they dance together in the Fifth Harmonic.  I don’t know Music, but if you do, you probably know a lot more about this than I do.

Since we follow Rudhyar’s Cyclical astrology (his Lunation Cycle, for instance), it’s technically more accurate to say that the faster planet Quintiles the slower one, or the slower planet is Quintiled by the faster one.  So for instance on 9 June, Vesta makes a Waxing Quintile to Pluto while the Moon makes a Waning Quintile to Pluto.  The Angle Waxes while it’s still growing, but then, after the Opposition, it Wanes.  The difference is that the Energy of the Cycle is still Expanding while the Angle is Waxing, but when it’s Waning the Energy of the Cycle is moderating.

The combination creates a Quintile Yod Configuration – two planets Quintile to one another, each of which is Biquintiled by a third planet.  The third planet is the focus of the Q-Yod.  

To interpret the Q-Yod, we would say that we are Transforming (Pluto) the relationship between our Unconscious Beliefs (Vesta) and our Instincts (Moon) – hopefully that means we’re Learning to Trust our Instincts more, so that they’re less censored and censured by our Unconscious Beliefs.

To interpret the Waxing Vesta-Pluto Quintile by itself, we would say that we are Learning (Quintile) more about this Vesta-Pluto Cycle, which is about artifacts of an ancient culture (the Cycle was Initiated at 14 Capricorn), and more specifically, we’re beginning to establish new Habits (Biquintile) based on what we’ve Learned to Trust (we’re now past the Waxing Square, or the place where the Energy of the current Cycle has forced out the Resistance of the previous Cycle) about which of our Unconscious Beliefs still “grow Corn.”

Which, “coincidentally,” resonates with the primary 9 June Energy, which is about Removing our Masks, or the places where we hide from ourself and others.

To interpret the Waning Vesta-Pluto Quintile by itself, we might say that we are Learning (Quintile) to be Grateful for the Gifts of previous Privilege, as we prepare to Let them Go (the Waning Biquintile occurs just prior to the Phitile, or Fruiting of the Cycle) and move on to a different sort of relationship with Slavery (the Cycle was Initiated at 18 Capricorn).  Again, the Biquintile is about Changing Patterns.

The Waxing Moon-Vesta Quintile, occurring as it does prior to the Waxing Square, may involve Unconscious Learning (Quintile), as we adapt to the building of the Energy of the new Cycle, which in this case is about Preparedness (Vesta Initiated the Moon at 9 Gemini).  Of course, if we were aligned with the new Energy at the Initiation, and we Trust the new Energy, we may be very Conscious about it.

For instance, if we Trust the Uranus-Pluto and Uranus-Eris Cycles and we Believe in Yindependence (which we might paraphrase as Freedom and Compassion), we’d be Preparing for four years of Bernie.  If we Believe in Yangdependence (Freedom and Competition) we’d be Preparing for regresssion to the 19th Century with The Donald.  If we just prefer Dependence, we’d be relaxing back into the 20th Century and Hillary.

That’s all “tongue in cheek,” so don’t get riled about it – but do try to understand the astrological Perspective I’m offering there, even if it’s not the Perspective you’d use.  It’s just meant as a Heuristic, not any sort of interpretation or prognostication.

The Fifth Harmonic, and the Quintile, is about Learning and Teaching.  To get quickly to the essence of things, we (I’m using the “editorial we” here, not trying to dictate how everyone should do things) shortcut all Quintile Angles, including the Biquintile, as simply about Learning.  A Waxing Triquintile is just a Waning Biquintile.  When looking for a first-cut overview, we don’t bother with Cycles, so we don’t worry about which planet is faster, we just look at the Angle between the two planets.

The Biquintile, as distinguished from the Quintile itself, would be about Learning to adopt (Waxing) or Release (Waning) new Habit Patterns, as it combines the Fifth Harmonic with the Second, and the Second Harmonic is about the Power of Ritual.  Or, if we were ignoring the Waxing/Waning dimension for the sake of an efficient overview, the Biquintile would be about Changing Patterns.  Since it’s Repetitions that cement Habits and Patterns and Rituals and Archetypes and Karma, we could say that the Biquintile is about the Power of Repetition.  Roke’s Master Patterner, for example.

Numerologically, the Tenth Harmonic reduces to the First Harmonic, or the Magic of Communication in all its forms and applications.  But in a Cyclical rather than Linear context, the Tenth Harmonic is subsidiary to the Fifth, because a Bidecile Angle is in fact a Quintile.  The Tenth Harmonic is Fortune.  Technically, it’s The Wheel of Fortune, which can run over us as well as turn in our favor.

Our bias, though, is that it’s all about Learning, so even when Fortune seems to turn against us, it’s only in order to provide us with Information that we can use to Manifest even more Fortuitous circumstances than we otherwise would.  When we PIAVA, the Universe always Responds.  If we’re ready, the Universe gives us what we Asked for.  If we aren’t ready, the Universe gives us Information about why we had to Ask for it, and haven’t been Enjoying it all along.

It’s kind of like the old story about Give a man a Fish and he’ll eat, but Teach a man to drink beer in a boat, and he’ll Fish all day long.

This a Powerful Perspective to bring to our Victim spaces.  Whatever it is we’re Asking for, someone somewhere probably already Enjoys it.  Even if we don’t know anyone, we can Imagine it.  So, why not us?  Well, if it’s hard, we probably have Unconscious Resistance to Manifesting it.  So we get the homework assignment to Get Conscious of any relevant Unconscious Limits and Choose to Create different Patterns. 

That’s why we Pay Attention if nothing appeared to happen after a few days of Changing the Subject, so we can Ask ourself what did happen, and Wonder how that might possibly be related to what we PIAVAed.  It’s also why we don’t recommend making too many PIAVAs at once – we won’t be able to sort out all of the new Information in order to use it to our greatest advantage.

So we simply regard the Decile Angle as fortuitous.  The Tridecile, or Tredecile, brings in the Third Dimension, Love with Wisdom – even more fortuitous.  We get the Grace of Love, without the Codependence of Naive Trust.

We could take it a step further.  The Tridecile is one Twentieth of the way ’round the Zodiac past the Square.  The Square, or the Fourth Harmonic, signifies Healthy Control, as the place where Clarity returns and it’s now Clear that the new Cycle is in Charge (Waxing) – or the place where it’s now Clear that the current Cycle is descending into the Void (Waning).  Either way, we don’t have to hedge our bets any more.  The Twentieth Harmonic is about Decisions that can withstand the test of Time.  So at the Tridecile we’re firing on all cylinders.

If we’re going to talk about Learning, we need to also talk about Curiosity and Confusion.  We live in a Patriarchy where the “left brain,” with all its Analysis and Logic and Debate and Rules, dominates the surface.  The “right brain,” with its focus on Vision and Intuition and Relationship and Yindependence, runs underground, or, we might say, has been run into the dirt.  Logic is a house of cards built on top of Assumptions that are almost never explicit.  The Assumptions of Yangtegrity are the equivalent of Unconscious Limits – they need to be brought into the Light of Day where we can see if they still grow Corn.

The “left brain” is useless for examining the Unknown, and by definition, the Unconscious is the Unknown.  On the other hand, the “right brain” has a fabulous Skillset for doing exactly this.  Intuition, yes, but foremost, Curiosity.  Not Curiosity as in Questions looking for Answers, that’s “left brain.”  But Curiosity as in Invitation to Insight.  As with PIAVA, there must be a Change of Subject between Curiosity and Insight, or our old Patterns will absolutely Resist any Change.

Insight is very different from Analysis, because Insight leads us to New Perspectives, the very New Perspectives that can shift us from Despair to Miracles, as seeing the World through new eyes reveals different dimensions and relationships. Analysis can only shuffle the existing deck.  Curiosity is akin to Love (the “greatest of these three”), in that they both eschew Judgment.  Analysis seeks out Judgment.  Without being Open to the New, we’re condemned to repeat the same old same old.

The first stage of Growth is Confusion, as our old mental structures are no longer adequate to constrain our World.  A fundamental question to Ask ourself, if we want to follow the tremendous Changes that are shaking our Planet, is How is it that we Unconsciously Respond to Confusion?  Fear is a common Response, as is Anger.  Talk to someone whose Rhetoric is different from yours, and you’ll notice that when you get close to touching their faulty Assumptions, they get Angry – and we probably do the same.

One of our most important Masks to remove, is the one between Confusion and our usual Response to it.  Neither Fear nor Anger serves to help us Grow quickly into new circumstances.  By examining our Fear and Anger, we can work our way back to Confusion itself, and Teach ourself to relish the Feeling of Confusion, to invite it into our house as an honored guest, toast it, and Relax into it.  Learn to Enjoy it.

To do that you’ll have to Feel Safe, and to the extent that our Safety depends on our mental structures, that’ll never happen.  So to Enjoy Confusion we need to move our Assemblage Point from Understanding to Trust or Faith.  We can’t do that “on Faith,” we need some kind of Support for a Belief that Trust or Faith is even possible.  How to start on that project?  PIAVA it.

Eris is the focus of both a Finger of God based on Venus Sextile Jupiter, and a Mjolnir based on Saturn Square Orcus.  Mars is also the focus of a Quintile Yod from the Moon and Chiron.

A Mjolnir -Thor’s Hammer in English – symbolizes Lightning, or sudden and irreversible Illumination of the Darkness.   It’s a third planet at the far Midpoint of a Square, so there’s a Trioctile to the third planet from each end of the Square.  The “Tri” is Love with Wisdom; the “Octile” is Adjustment, Rebalancing.  The Square may be Frustrating, but the Mjolnir‘s Epiphany suddenly makes it Miraculously Easy.

It’s about our Discovering the Roots of our Limiting Oaths.  Gently and Lovingly, but Solidly.

I Wonder…  I’ve Wanted so badly to have or be or do THIS, and I’ve been trying forever but I just can’t Create it.  What if I’m Stopping myself.  I Wonder if I swore some sort of Oath a long time ago, that’s still Blocking me.  Something happened, and I reacted by Swearing never to let that happen again.  It’s like trying to remember a Dream – it’s right there, I can taste it, I can almost see it.  What was it?  It’s not about THIS, but it must be related.  There must be a connection between THIS and that, so my Oath against that stymies THIS.  Ganeshi, would you be willing to Lovingly and Gently remove any obstacles to this Revelation and Rebirth?

Orcus Opposes Neptune, with Saturn T-Squaring them both.  That means Mars-Haumea and Eris each make Trioctile Bridges across the T-Square, and together form a Trioctile Rectangle or Box.  

Boxes are driven by the Oppositions between their corners.

Our Oath seems murky because it was an integral part of our Social Programming; if we had or were or did that, we would be ostracized.  And at that age we had no Survival Skills; it would be certain Death, or on earlier Timelines slavery to a rival Tribe.  This is not Child’s Play, we’ve lived many variations of this Pattern on many Timelines, in many Lives.  With the fate of the Planet in our hands, we all need to Let Go of these Limiting Patterns so we can find our Voice to have and be and do what WE need to have and be and do in order to fulfill our Mission.  It seems small, but one missing piece in a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle makes a glaring hole.  It may be Child’s Play, as your Oath may have resulted from Games that are Innocent to Children, but Impermissible to adults.

Mars-Haumea is also Sextile to Ixion-Pholus, and this Sextile is the base of a Sedna Finger of God.

Actions taken out of Fear often have Unintended Consequences, because we don’t have time, or a clear head, to think through the outcomes.  And the same is true of Actions NOT taken out of Fear.  While our Oath may have prevented “sins” of Commission, it has almost Certainly been Creating “sins” of Omission.  There are important roles in your Community that you shy away from because you Unconsciously Fear Punishment if you defy your ancient Oath.  Roles meant for you, and Communities with missing pieces.  Our Rebirth can allow us to Take Full Responsibility for our Unique Genius that we’ve been hiding because we Fear it will appear Pathological.  We may have to Tap out some Fear along the way.

Which makes a Trine Fez: Jupiter Trine Sedna Unx Eris Trine Pholus-Ixion Square Jupiter.

So we have two assignments, both requiring Permanent Curiosity.  There are no Answers here, only Questions.  Where there are Insights, they should introduce more Questions.  It’s not an intellectual exercise, where an Answer eases our Anxiety and we can relax.  We want to Surrender to Wonder, and be Awed by how incredible the Universe works when we Witness our Ego and Act from Ongoing Curiosity instead.

Great Spirit, how can I Safely navigate my Fear about Living my Unique Genius?  I Wonder what I will need to discover in order to Grow into my rightful place in my Community and on the Planet.

Mars-Haumea is also the focus of a Quintile Yod from the Moon and Chiron.  Pluto is the focus of a Quintangle from Juno and the South Node.  The Moon and Juno form the base of a Septangle focused on Ceres.

A Quintile Yod is formed when a third planet is at the far Midpoint between two planets that form a Quintile; the third planet is the focus.  A Quintangle is a third planet at the near Midpoint between two planets forming a Biquintile; again, the third planet is the focus.  A Septangle is a third planet at the far Midpoint between two planets that make a Triseptile, with the third planet as the focus.

We’re Learning here to Trust our Instincts, and to recognize Despair as the sign that Miracles await; we need only Witness our Despair.  “You poor Sweetheart, you really feel Discouraged, don’t you.”  It’s not a Choice; we’re Learning how to Choose Growth in the Edges of our Consciousness instead of continuing to Fear the Edges of our Held Emotions.  Business as Usual is not Sustainable.  We have Instincts that tell us where and how we need to Grow.  We need only to stop ignoring them.

Rent, Or A Weekend

Another of my favorite Frank & Earnest cartoons: “I just get my [Identity] budget in order, and along comes a big surprise, like rent, or a weekend!”

This lovely chart will carry us through January 27 or so. 

• Can you see the big blue Kite?  It’s pointing at the headphones in the upper left (that’s the “North Node” in astrologuese).  A Kite is a Big Boon, and it’s pointing at the North Node, which is our friend. 
• How about the big dark red triangle?  It points to the left off of the vertical spar of the Kite.  That’s Pluto (which looks like a martini on a cross) that it’s pointing at, in the lower left.  Big red triangles are “T-Squares,” and they’re Challenging, especially when they point at the God of the Underwhere, Pluto.  Not to fear, they also lead to graduate degrees, and the Kite more than neutralizes the Challenge in this one.  We’ve been working on this Masters Degree in Transformation and Ego Death for several years now, so we’re getting pretty good at it.  Even if we still haven’t learned to enjoy it.
• Then there’s the orange wedge and the lavender-grey wedge, both pointing at the asterisk on a cross at the top right.  The asterisk stands for the asteroid Juno, which symbolizes our Identity.  The two wedges mean that our Identity is lit up like a Roman candle.  Which is another Big Boon, because if we’re in the midst of Transforming our Ego, being Conscious of the Changes in our Identity helps a lot to remind us that we aren’t really “Dying,” we’re just crawling out of our cocoon and spreading our Wings.

And if we stretch our Sensitivity from the usual 3 Degrees, then Pallas (diamond on a cross), Mercury (horned circle on a cross), and the asteroid Chaos (written out – it means Potential, not Disorder) join to make a Grand Sextile (six-pointed star), one of the friendliest of Configurations.  Since this is actually a Birth chart (for our Trance-re-Formed Self), the more expansive Sensitivity is actually appropriate.  The chart is drawn for when the Moon reaches the Midpoint between Uranus (TV antenna on a circle) and the South Node (earbuds), 4am PST (http://www.jbuss.com/tt/pst4.htm) January 25.

So while we expect this weekend to be pretty Intense again (or still), it should “end well.”  Our Mantra could be “Pay Attention, and look for the Silver Lining.”  We could be in for some Lifetime-Scale Epiphanies.

Yods (wedgy triangles, also known as Fingers of God) mean Pay Attention to this!!  A Quintile Yod is about Paying Attention to Learning (and Teaching), and a Septile Yod about Paying Attention to Magic (and Power).

The base of the Quintile (Learning) Yod is Chiron (K on a circle – Despair and Miracles) and the asteroid Ceres (cuphook – Sustainability), so…

One thing we’re Learning this weekend is how to Sustain our Consciousness of Miracles – providing we can Transcend the temptation to be Discouraged.  With Pluto Transforming everything, that shouldn’t be too hard, especially with a smidgeon of Effort on our part, once we figure out which “our” is us at the moment.  As long as our Identity is being washed, rinsed, and hung out to dry, we may as well take advantage of our Psychic nakedness and just merge with our Limitless Soul Self.

You know what it’s like when you’re flying, and coming in for a landing, and you can look out the window and see all those little houses down there, as if they were two-dimensional?  Well, sit up straight, let the airplane dissolve, and let yourself be sitting comfortably at the center of six or eight or twelve dimensions, rather than just two or three.  Pretty amazing, eh? 

Once the plane lands, you can get up and walk around like that, as big as a small town.  If you aren’t flying, you can get up and walk around like that anytime.  It’s a great space from which to Pray or Visualize or Intend or Ask or Affirm or Command what you Want from your Life, and to be Curious about how the devil it’s going to Manifest.  I mean, you’re Naked and Unlimited, so you can put on any sort of costume you want to put on.  You can be Anybody.  And Everybody.  All at once even.

The base of the Septile (Magic) Yod is Pluto and Neptune (fork with a cross on the handle – Spiritual Energy).  That’s a very powerful combination – Neptune (the GoddessHeart) Septile Pluto (Trance Formation), in a Yod with Consciousness or Identity (Juno)!  That’s Big.

I mean, really, the only Limits here are the ones you put on yourself.  Take them off and throw them in the washer.  Run around naked all weekend.  It’s the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius after all.

Portal 4.5

Elestial Citrine.

Elestial Quartz formed quickly in Water, hence its multiple merged points.  It’s one Crystal, with many points.  It brings Angelic assistance to the task of allowing our True Self to manifest into practical Form.  Citrine brings all four of our Bodies into alignment, transforms negative Emotions, and clears away impediments to our Understanding of how it all fits together.  Smokey Quartz (Elestials are Smokey, and Citrine is a form of Quartz) absorbs negative radiation as well.

Starting about ten minutes in.  You have to subscribe to get access to it, so I’ll summarize the key points…

John is a Nostradamus scholar, and refers to his study and use of the idioms of 16th-Century French to help decode Nostradamus’s quatrains.  After a long discussion of the predictions of Nostradamus and several other seers down over the centuries, he considers whether a second Cold War will begin this month, or in October, and whether a nuclear WWIII is likely to befall us –  “Raining Stars from the Sky and killing more people in one day than all previous wars combined” as one prognostication put it – though that would fit for an asteroid collision as well.

Then he discusses various views of the Antichrist, and his belief that the Antichrist is actually our own Unconsciousness, some foretelling we “Walk into the conflagration with eyes wide open.”  And how he regards the massive Denial (see “1964-1973” in Unexploded Bomb) we live in today as example.  Then they took a couple of calls from listeners.

One listener wanted to discuss his pet theories about the Malaysian Airlines 777.  John rather sternly cut him off at the ankles, citing his obsession with the missing airliner as a sterling example of the slavish obeisance to the mass hypnosis peddled by the corporate media that decorates our massive Denial.

Another caller was a fellow who patiently explained to John how he could avoid the catastrophe and get sent to Heaven instead by taking Jesus as his Savior.  John gently shot him out of the water, pointing out that there are 32 other Christian sects, each with their own recipe for Salvation, not to mention the many sects of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and YouNameItism.  Again, slavish obeisance to the intellectual formulae peddled by the religions is exactly the sort of hypnosis that will keep us in Denial.

He pointed out that future events will be unlike anything we’ve witnessed in the past, and the only way Humanity will wake up and say NO! is by stepping outside of the established propaganda machines and obsolete paradigms, opening our Observer Selves to witness the massive Destruction barreling down on us and the signs and signals of its progress, and raising our collective Voices to take Action to at least delay it if not transform it.

On the other hand, Bill Clinton was on the tube the other night talking about how the youngsters he works with have their eyes open and are creating all manner of innovative approaches to shift the Energy.  In contrast to the alleged Hollywood Boulevard dunces that his Puer host shamelessly exploits nightly.

 

Prediction and Interpretation

As I hope you know by now, we focus here on interpretation rather than prediction.  We do that for a couple of reasons.  First, while astrology is a great lever for focusing the Intuition, no two people have the same chart and the same set of Life experiences, and no two people will react or respond the same way to a given Energy.  Second, everyone actually uses words differently, so even if you Intuit exactly what someone is up to, the probability of actually communicating it is small.  Third, You would have to understand in advance how the person would likely use the information; you wouldn’t want to create unnecessary additional difficulty for them.  Finally, you want to harness the Placebo effect as much as you can, so you try to propose not possible futures but paths to Healing.

Which is what I like about John Hogue’s interview – he was proposing a path to Healing – namely, getting Conscious.  Which is exactly what Portal 4.5 is about.  It’s a unique and shining opportunity, because the rest of April is fraught with potential Challenges of Yintegrity.  So the more we can use Portal 4.5 to lever up our Consciousness, the more effective will be our response to the Challenges before us.

 

There are six overlapping Energies running through this Portal.

The first three are of longer duration, but form an important backdrop for the Portal itself.

• We are moving toward Compassion for both the limitations of Physical Reality and the travails demanded by Spirit.  Recognize Confusion as the first stage of Growth, and respond to any difficulty by letting go of your obsession with the Material.  Look for the Energy behind it. 

The Trioctile is three eighths of the way ’round the Zodiac.  The Eighth Harmonic is about Realignment, and the Third about Love with Wisdom.  Mars (Physical Energy) is making a Waning Trioctile to Neptune (Spiritual Energy).  The Waning Mars-Neptune Cycle is about “Petrified tree trunks lie broken on desert sand” – yes, the infrastructure of civilization is broken, but it’s time to move beyond that realization and begin building a new structure.

• The first stage of Rebuilding is to find Compassion for ourselves over our discovery that the pillars of our own Belief Systems have also collapsed.  We aren’t sure what to Believe any more, and that’s a good thing – it means we’re moving out beyond the intellectual formulae and mass hypnosis to a place where we can see more clearly and respond when we need to.  Stay with the Confusion – it will lead you to very important new Insights.

While the Chiron Mjolnir has dissolved because Lilith (as is her wont) has gone her own way, the Waning Trioctile from the Vesta-Ceres-North Node Conjunction to Chiron remains strong.

• The April 5-7 window is a powerful opening for putting into practice the increasingly urgent feeling that we need to Let Go of our Masks and let our True Self shine through.  In fact, we’re highly likely to start this process by putting our foot in our mouth in a big way.  When that happens, don’t backtrack.  Do apologize for being abrupt, and make sure you’re speaking about your feelings and not about other people.  But stay with your Truth – it’s how we will recognize our Team and get to work.

After being recently Initiated by Uranus, Juno is about to Initiate the Sun.  The Juno-Uranus Initiation was the “Unexploded bomb.”  The Sun-Juno Initiation will be about “Abundance made possible by Human cooperation.”  And the Sun-Juno Initiation takes place right on Eris!  So there will be big sheets of Denial peeled away here.

The other three Energies are more ephemeral.  Two of these more ephemeral Energies form the primary Portal, opening from around 9am PDT to 6pm PDT on April 5.

• The Most Important Thing during this Window will be to Trust what may feel like “random” Emotions.  Those are our Instincts.  They come straight from our Heart and Soul, not from our Programming or our Intellect.  They could put us into awkward situations, but stay with your Truth, as this is the process of moving into Yintegrity.

A Quintile Yod forms when a third planet occupies the far midpoint between two planets that Quintile one another.  It means that the third planet becomes the focus of attention to direct the Energies of the other two planets, while the whole Configuration introduces a probably-inconvenient but definitely-important “Learning Opportunity.”  Here Saturn is the focus, with the Moon and the Sun-Juno Conjunction as the feet.

• There is Great Grace available in the synergies between Trusting our Instincts, Allowing our Belief System to be scrambled not with Doubt but with Curiosity, and enlisting our Compassion for Self and Other.

The Moon makes a Grand Trine with Venus and the Vesta-Ceres-North Node Conjunction.

• The Grace multiplies many times over when we lovingly and gently open to our Karma.  We recoil from our Karma (the unpleasant experiences that we don’t want to see repeated) because it has given us such grief in the past.  But it’s a mere shadow of its former self, and when we open our Heart to it and find Compassion for ourself in its grip, it will dissolve in a few minutes.  But we have to Consciously take that step – notice our recoil, congratulate ourself for noticing it, and then soften our Resistance to it.

The South Node and Pallas Trine one another and Sextile the Grand Trine, forming five points of a Grand Sextile.  That tells us to look at the Vacancy – the missing jetliner, no, the missing sixth point that would complete the Grand Sextile.  That happens to be a busy point, as Quaoar and Chariklo are both recently Stationary there, and it happens to be where the Galactic Center sits, or the Black Whole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.  Just to put frosting on the cake, the asteroid Karma is there as well, itself Stationing in a few weeks.

In other words, the force of the entire Galaxy is at our backs here!  But the onus is upon us to take the first step out of our habitual reactions.  It almost doesn’t matter how we respond or act, as long as it’s different and new.  That’s one thing about the True Self – we don’t do it, we stand back and allow it to come through.  We just Relax and stop Resisting it.  It’s the easiest thing in the World, it’s absolutely natural for you – when you Let It Go.  We’re used to being punished or Shamed for being ourselves, because that’s what brings it into sharp focus for us and separates it from the background noise.  We just need to confront the Shaming, and embrace our historical Punished One.

We still need to write about the Water Nymph Chariklo, known about the Heavens for her Beauty and Grace.

Mercury’s Station

Heulandite heals hesitation to speak our Truth.

Well, “puny” Mercury has the last laugh!  Not surprising, Trickster and Magician that he is.  Mercury symbolizes the First Harmonic, hence ruling Initiation.  So we go nowhere without his approval.

The chart of his November 10 Station (1pm PST) is a well-ordered Spiderweb of Quintiles (orange) and Septiles (light blue)…

Remarkable.  His return from his Retrograde journey is heralded by four parts of a Grand Quintile, forming a cauldron securely capped by a Septile Bridge!  Ceres, Jupiter, the South Node, and the Moon form the all-but Grand Quintile.  Vesta, the Sun, Pluto, and Neptune form the cauldron’s lid.

There is a huge Learning Opportunity (Grand Quintile) here, hidden beneath a veil of Magic (Septile Bridge).

We could Learn Enduring (Ceres) secrets about our Karma (South Node), Manifestation and Authenticity (Moon), and Transcending our Limits (Jupiter). 

These Lessons are protected by the Sacred (Vesta), the Source (Sun), Alchemy (Pluto) and Mystery (Neptune).

Five Quintile Yods create a Grand Quintile.  When one point of the Grand Quintile is missing, three of the five Q-Yods are absent.  The two Q-Yods that remain are Moon with Ceres and Jupiter and Ceres with Moon and South Node…

We’re Learning how Attention to Sustainability (Ceres) and Stepping beyond our Limits (Jupiter) support Authenticity and facilitate Manifestation (Moon).

We’re Learning that Respect for our Experience (South Node) and Respect for the Intuition hidden in our apparently-random Emotions (Moon) create Patterns with Enduring Value (Ceres).

And there is one additional Q-Yod that’s not part of the all-but Grand Quintile, a Uranus Q-Yod with Saturn and Pallas…

We’re Learning how to Identify with and Express our True Self (Uranus) through Attention to the Edges and Boundaries (Pallas) of our Yintegrity, and Prioritizing what’s Most Important (Saturn).

In the Septile Bridge…

Yielding control to Source (Sun) and allowing ourselves to be  Transformed (Pluto) will resolve the Conflicts between The Mystery (Neptune) and our Beliefs about it (Vesta).  Unconscious obsession with these Conflicts absorb our Attention and prevent Timely Action that would yield Miracles.  This Configuration holds the promise of dissolving these Conflicts.

Now, with an all-but Grand Quintile, you know we’re going to be looking at the Vacancy – the empty spot that would fill the Grand Quintile – as the key to the whole drama, eh?

Well, at the Vacancy sits the Conjunction of two asteroids that we don’t usually consider – the Asteroid Persephone and the Asteroid Psyche.  Psyche means “Soul.”  Psyche was so lovely that she made Venus jealous, so Venus sent her son Cupid to torment Psyche.  Instead, Cupid fell in love with Psyche, but through misdirected Curiosity, Psyche wounds Cupid and he flies away.  Wandering in search of Cupid, Psyche falls under the Power – and wrath – of Venus.

Persephone, daughter of Ceres/Demeter, was abducted by Hades (aka Pluto), and served as Queen of the Underworld.  Persephone and Psyche have met before.  Venus, worn out by healing Cupid’s wound, sent her now-servant Psyche on a mission to the Underworld to retrieve a blessing from Persephone, to restore Venus’s beauty for an upcoming event.  Now the thick plottens.  Psyche usurped the blessing, it backfired, and she had to be rescued by a now-healed Cupid.  Cupid appeals to Jupiter/Zeus, who intervenes with Venus, and grants Psyche immortality so she can marry Cupid.

It’s Jupiter’s son Mercury who gets the job of assembling the Gods so Jupiter can proclaim these decisions.  In the Station chart, Mercury Septiles Jupiter and Sextiles Venus, while Venus Conjoins Pluto.  Stationary Mercury Trines Stationary Neptune.  We can summarize all these complex Shakespearean relationships simply with…

You’ll see most of the Moon turn reddish around half-past 4pm PDT if it’s not cloudy and you’re in Europe, western Siberia, west of Iran, Africa, coastal Brazil, Quebec, or the MerryTimes.  You might be able to detect some darkening in the rest of Asia and the Americas, but not in Alaska or Australia.

Abundance Means Having Enough to Share

The Eclipse itself occurs at 26 of Aries, “A man possessed of more gifts than he can hold.”  You can say that again.  Rudhyar calls it “Obsession by potentiality,” whatever that means.

You know me, I don’t think Eclipses are as important now as they were when you could tell the Grand Whizbah that today is when he should tell the peasants that a Dragon will eat the Moon if they don’t freely offer up the best of their harvest and their offspring.

But the glorious thing about Eclipses is that they hide or Occult an element of the obvious.  That’s good because Consciousness grows by differentiating a new thing or concept out of the general undifferentiated background.  So when the Elephant in the room is suddenly missing, whoa, everybody’s all Where did the Elephant go?!? instead of the usual What Elephant?  I don’t see any Elephants.

Too Many Golden Apples

Especially when the Eclipse is Conjunct our Mistress of the Revelation of Denial, Eris herself.  The Eclipse is three and a third degrees from Eris, so it’s a little outside the range we usually use to measure our sensitivity, but I think there’s little doubt that you’ll notice, if you haven’t already.  For comparison, the Full Moon is about half a degree wide, so if you measure six Moon’s-widths behind (west of) the Moon and squint really hard, you’ll see Eris.  In your Mind’s Eye.

So there’s a good chance we’ll all find some things out on October 18, that shift the way we view the World.  And I guess if we’re possessed of more gifts than we can hold, it must be Potlatch time.  In a Potlatch – a tradition on the left coast of North America – your respect in your community grows not by how much you have but by how much you give away.  Basically the opposite of what’s happening in most of the “civilized” World, and most particularly the opposite of what the US Congress and its fascist puppetmasters have been practicing.

Angles to the Eclipse

The Eclipse is Quincunx to Ceres, which invites Curiosity about How can we make this Abundance Sustainable?

And it makes Quintile-Decile Angles to Pluto and Vesta.  If you want details…

But the important thing is that we’re dealing with Pluto and Vesta, and the Fifth and Tenth Harmonics.  That is, Inevitability/Transformation, the Sacred, Learning, and Abundance.  That does sound obsessive with potentialities, doesn’t it.  Perhaps an excellent time to permanently shift our attitude toward how much we’re willing to Receive.  That’d be nice.  Just remember to dwell on the good stuff, k?

The Mercury-Jupiter Angle

Vesta is embellished by Sextiles (Creative Grace) to both Mercury (Communication) and Jupiter (Expansion), which means that Mercury and Jupiter Trine (Dumb-Luck Grace) one another.  So, are we talking more about what’s Sacred to us?  Maybe allowing the Sacred to talk directly to us!  Vesta is the focus of this little Triangle after all.  Maybe all of the sudden we’ll notice that the Fairies are on vacation – then we’ll have to admit that they were there all along, wouldn’t we.  Or maybe someone will pull the curtain aside to reveal the Golden Cash Cows being worshiped by all those fascists who call themselves more “Christian” than thou.

Mercury also makes a Square to Pallas, implying that there’s some Boundary-setting to be accomplished here.  Mercury turns Retrograde at half-past 3am PDT October 21, and at the Eclipse it’s only a third of a degree from it’s Station.  Which is to say, this is actually a Mercury-Stationary Eclipse.  A Mercury-Stationary Eris Eclipse.  They used to say “Loose lips sink ships” in another era.  How would we phrase that today, if someone threw a Golden Thumbdrive into the party?

The Ongoing Karmic Drama

Like many of us, the Eclipse chart has two distinct sets of Angles, with little relationship between the two.  That gives the Eclipse a bit of a multiple personality – two pretty independent entities joined at the hip.  That can lead to some mutual “self”-sabotage.  That’d be an oxymoron if it weren’t for the link at the hip.  In this case though, collaboration seems more likely, mostly because of the nature of the two chart segments, but also because here the two parts are joined at two points – Jupiter and Pluto.

The Mr. Hyde portion of the Eclipse chart is one we’re quite familiar with from recent posts if not from “real” Life – the Juno-Nodes T-Square Bridged by Chiron and Pluto, with help from Uranus.  That’s the Karmic Gorgons we’ve been wrestling with off and on since May.  The Ceres Mjolnir across the Juno-South Node Square is recently deceased, but it’s been replaced by a Pythagorean Triangle with Comet ISON…

(That is, ISON is Quincunx to Juno and Trine to the South Node, making a constructive Challenge-Curiosity-Grace loop on the Square from the South Node to Juno, the Quincunx from Juno to ISON, and the Trine from ISON to the South Node.)

and a Venus Quintile Yod across a Jupiter-South Node Quintile.

A Quintile Yod is a “Learning Opportunity” in all the least welcome senses of the phrase.  It’s fabulous – after the fact – because we usually learn something important and useful.  But during the adventure, we’d mostly just as soon not.  However, this is Venus and Jupiter – how can we lose with these two greatest of Benefics?  Well, okay, there’s the third corner, the South Node.

We just have to reprogram ourselves to recognize that every time those Regressions to Childhood (and beyond!) occur, it’s another Opportunity to heal them.  Regressions are windowless, we don’t normally realize that we’re Regressed, we just know that we’re terrified, or enraged, or distraught.  Maybe we could post a note on the toilet lid that says…

Feeling Great?  No?  Then you’re Regressed!

Because all we need is a reminder to take a step back out toward the Present Moment, where we can Witness the Feelings from outside of their sealed canister and begin to recover our adult competence.

Remember the article that we started with, where neurons that fire together wire together?  The opposite is true too – neurons that aren’t wired together don’t fire together.  That’s why Regressions are windowless canisters, because when those Lost-Child neurons fire, the rest of the brain goes dead.  So we need to purposely start adding the links between our Lost Child and the rest of our brain, starting with an independent Witness that can differentiate the Lost Child inside of us from the otherwise undifferentiated Emotional background, and extend a loving and gentle helping hand.

Zinnwaldite!

My favorite Stones are the Micas, and my favorite Mica is Zinnwaldite!  From the Zinnwald, literally the “Tin Forest” on the border between Saxony in East Germany and Usti in Bohemia (nowadays aka the Czech Republic).  It’s a complex Potassium-Lithium-Iron-Aluminum Mica Fluoride, like the Eclipse chart not a one-dimensional undertaking.  Never have I experienced greater Peace from a Stone than from Zinnwaldite.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It

The ongoing North-Node Quintile Yod (Learning Opportunity re our Mission) with Uranus (Yintegrity) and Jupiter (Expansion), which is lit up by Friday’s Invisible Eclipse, gets additional impetus in the days following the Eclipse, as the Expansion foot of the QYod is joined by several powerful actors…

• The Moon crosses Jupiter on Sunday May 26 at half-past 3am PDT,
• Mercury crosses Jupiter on Monday May 27 at 1am PDT, and
• Venus crosses Jupiter on Tuesday May 28 at half-past noon PDT.

The impact of these events will be several hours for the Moon, and one to several days for Mercury and Venus, depending on your sensitivity.  If you pick up on the Energy, the impact of the event will rise gradually as you approach the event time then fade rapidly.  If you Resist the Energy, it will persist beyond the event time.  It’s always better to Surrender to the Energy rather than Resist it, as Resistance simply creates more Karma and makes it more complex, and you’ll just have to Surrender to that on some later day when it’ll be much harder than Surrendering now.

In this blahg we focus mostly on the outer planets, because we know that most of us are driven more by our Unconscious Patterns than by our Conscious Choices, and the outers have more impact in the Unconscious realm.  But the inner planets have a much greater impact on the visible World, which is why most astrologers give them the most attention.  Consequently,

• When the Moon crosses Jupiter it’s likely to trigger important parts of our Learning Opportunity,
• When Mercury crosses Jupiter it’s likely to increase our Awareness of how we might Expand into our Mission, and
• When Venus crosses Jupiter it’s likely to open our Heart to our Yintegrity (so we can have Compassion for how much we’ve been abusing ourselves by pretending to be someone we aren’t) and open our Compassion for the Entities likely to receive our Service when we move toward our Mission.

Quite amazing how focused and persistent “The Stars” are prodding us toward ReForming the Planet Trance.  If you get clear evening skies where you are,

By the way, when we were writing about the Invisible Eclipse we forgot to mention that Comet ISON is still hanging out quite close to Vesta, at the focus of its Quintile Yod with Juno and the Moon.

The Next Ring-Pass-Not

The next Portal is an invisible Lunar Eclipse, at half-past 9pm PDT on Friday May 24.  Well, it may not be completely invisible if you’re a Cat, but the Earth’s shadow makes only the faintest of glancing blows on the edge of the Moon’s disk.  It occurs at 5 of Sagittarius, “An old Owl sits alone on the branch of a large Tree.”  Rudhyar’s take is a giggle: “A poised and wise approach to existence based on a clear perception of Unconscious factors and their operation” – as if we were doing our Juno-Nodes T-Square homework!  And of course it’s the Blooming of the Lunar Cycle that began at the Annular Eclipse two weeks ago.

More important, though, is that the Full Moon (Eclipse) makes a close T-Square (Mastery through Challenge) with Neptune (our Relationship with the GodHead and the GoddessHeart).  The most important part of any T-Square is the Vacancy that would make it into a Grand Cross, because this is the part that we have to Consciously provide in order to complete the Circle and bring it into Balance.  The Vacancy is 5 degrees of Virgo, “A person becoming aware of Nature Spirits and normally unseen spiritual agencies,” which Rudhyar extends as “The opening of new levels of consciousness.”  The 5-Virgo reading is independent of the fact that it’s a Neptune T-Square – which amounts to an affirmation.  In other words, keep your (third) eye open for Awareness of any New Patterns!

Related Eclipses recur in an 18-year “Saros” Cycle.  The first and last Eclipses in a Cycle are glancing blows like this one.  Eighteen years later a related Eclipse will be slightly more visible, and so on and so on, until one or more of the Eclipses is finally Total, or at least Annular.  For instance, the Cycle that the recent Annular Solar Eclipse occupies saw it’s first, glancing-blow Eclipse in 1472, twenty years before the Taino People of the Bahamas, much to their later chagrin, discovered European Colonists.  That Cycle doesn’t finish until the year 2716.

The newsworthy thing about Portal 5.24 is that it Initiates a new Saros Cycle!  Initiation of a new Eclipse Cycle hasn’t occurred in 30 years, and it’ll be 47 years hence before it occurs again – most of us will witness only a few of these Initiations in a lifetime, at least until the Singularity.  This new Cycle will see related Eclipses every 18 years until the year 3275 – a millennium and a quarter of another!  The first Total Lunar Eclipse in the Cycle won’t happen until 2572.

All of which is to say, this Eclipse…

• Is virtually Invisible (as is, for most of us most of the time, Spirit),
• Is the blossoming of a Lunar Cycle about The awareness of spiritual forces at work (see The Next Eclipse),
• Occurs in a degree representing a poised and wise approach to existence based on a clear perception of Unconscious factors and their operation,
• Makes a T-Square with Neptune, aka our Relationship with Spirit,
• Triggers a Vacancy with a degree symbolizing the opening of new levels of consciousness,
• Initiates a brand new 1,262-year Eclipse Cycle!

Uh, sounds like kind of a Big Deal, eh?

And there’s more.  Remember those two other T-Squares?  Juno with the Nodes, and Uranus with Pluto and Vesta?  At the Full Moon/Invisible Eclipse, there are two Quintile Yods (Learning Opportunities) formed.  One we know about already, the ongoing North-Node QYod with Uranus and Jupiter (expanding and aligning our Soul Connection, our Mission, and our Lifestyle).  The second one is transitory – a Vesta QYod with Juno and the Moon (triggering a realignment of our Unconscious Identity to concur with our Heart’s view of what’s Sacred).

This second Quintile Yod makes a good map for the span of Portal 5.24 – the QYod will be in effect for about nine hours beginning about 7pm PDT on Friday May 24.

In other words, the two Quintile Yods link the focus of each of the T-Squares to a corner of the other – Juno to Vesta, and Uranus to North Node.  So each T-Square is a heuristic for the other – our rededication to the Sacred facilitates the transformation of our Unconscious Identity, as our rededication to our Yintegrity takes us to our Mission!  While it might seem like these connections are obvious, they’re otherwise-independent Energies.  The fact that the astrological alignment reinforces their natural affinities amplifies their Power and Significance.

Personally, I regard Eclipses as “simply” enhanced Oppositions – Angles of Awareness that illuminate by absence Patterns that otherwise blend with the background, hence expanding our Consciousness.  Consciousness grows by exactly that process – differentiation, not be discovery.  Critically important to the evolution of the Species in other words.  But most of the Fear and Loathing that surrounds Eclipses is political – when someone tries to impress you with Eclipse tales, they’re mostly trying to manipulate you.  It works because until Humans knew that Columbus would get found by the Taino before he fell off the Edge, Eclipses were simply terrifying – imagine a Total Solar Eclipse occurring if you had no idea what it was all about!

The ability to predict Eclipses came long before the general understanding of how Planetary and Lunar Shadows moved around.  During the intervening span astrologers collaborated with despotic manipulation of the resulting Terror.  This particular Eclipse seems like a Big Deal because it assembles a long list of meaningful correlates, not because it’s an Eclipse.  Tapping Out or lovingly Sitting With any general Fear that Eclipses generate for you would be an excellent way to help the whole Spiritual Consciousness process that’s going on.
