We were working on the idea that Conjunctions and Stellia (groups of 3 or more planets close together) mean that some of our normal Cultural- and Language-Determined Distinctions (like Boy vs Girl, Blue vs Green, Idiotic vs. Imbecilic) get Merged, so we end up looking at People, Cool Colors, and Dumb instead. Each of these is a tiny Enlightenment. For instance, when we wake up one day and see People instead of Boys vs Girls, it’s Consciousness-Expanding. And we were using the very unusual Total Lunar Eclipse of 27-28 September 2015, which was loaded with Stellia and Conjunctions, as an excellent example. Just looking at the Eclipse itself, the Moon was in a Stellia of three, and the Sun was in a Stellia of eight, ie, unheard of. So what happens to our perspective when 8 of our normal Distinctions all run together? Well, let’s start with the simpler, the Stellia of 3…

Our Held Emotions form the most Persistent Core of our Karma, as long ago we were highly Motivated to Never Think About Themagain. They were too Painful. Often they were also Verboten in the Current Lifetime by our Programmers, cementing their Banishment for us.1 Bringing them up into Consciousness by accident is almost impossible, because the clues are usually disguised by Addiction, Illness, or Culturally-Approved Victimizations. Dedicated and Persistent PIAVAs are Required.
1Forbidding something is probably the best way to assure that it gets constant Attention. Combining Forbidding and Punishing can drive an Energy into the Unconscious and Lock the door behind it, but that only means that we think about it all the time, without actually Recognizing it.
Our Unconscious Limitations are already the same thing as Held Emotions, but seen from a different Perspective. We just “don’t go there,” and our Behavior is so well-Justified that there’s no reason we’d ever want to. I’d Do Anything for Love, but I Won’t Do That! They’re Walled Off very Effectively by Judgments – in fact our Pet Peeves are often the best Clue to our Unconscious Limitations, but our Pet Peeves are Pictures of Our Identity – of Our Ego itself! The Ego has already made it Clear to anyone who will Listen that they’re Off-Limits. So this is an Effortless Merger!
But our Instincts! Only Carl Jung defined our Karma as a Persistent and Dedicated Effort by the Unconscious to get us to Open to and Accept our Held Emotions. So this sort of Merger is a Given to Jungians and followers of his followers. In Normal Circumstances for most people, this triple Merger would Precipitate a Major Crisis, as we would be forced to Admit or Reveal our Most Shameful Secrets. At the very least we’d be Hiding in a Cave somewhere, so no one would be allowed to Witness our Shame.
But these weren’t Normal Circumstances! Look at the Other Side of this Eclipse – a Stellium of eight planets – I don’t recall ever seeing that before!

While our Ego is Lost in Shame, our Essence is Bathing in the Bright Light of Our Lifetime Mission. Our Mission is so multidimensional that our Ego and 2D Mind seldom actually Witness more than a Whiff of it. But here we’re Immersed in the Urge to Grow in Consciousness, and Intuitively we know that the most Powerful way to do that is to Open to a Held Emotion. With Emphasis on Self-Sovereignty, we’re less concerned than usual about What Everyone Else Will Think of us, which has potential to Neutralize our Shame.
Sisyphus and Tantalus are cousins in the Psyche, both dealing as they do with Forever – Sisyphus Condemns us to Repeat a Task Forever, and Tantalus leaves us Forever Frustrated because the Objects of our Desire Dissolve just as we are about, at long last, to Enjoy Them. Indeed, few things are more Tantalizing than the Desire to Complete our Sisyphean Tasks. Both make excellent adjectives for describing Karma.
Sisyphus and Tantalus are named like “Centaurs,” which are comet-like dwarf planets with elongated 50-100+ year orbits between Jupiter and Pluto, of which Chiron is the most well known. But they aren’t Centaurs at all, they’re “Apollos” – Near-Earth Asteroids that orbit between Venus and Mars. Tantalus is considered a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid, as it’s 4km/2½mi wide and comes within 16 LD (Moon-to-Earth Distances) of Earth, orbiting every 18 months between 0.9 and 1.7 AU (Distance from the Sun, where Sun-to-Earth is 1.0). Sisyphus is a little less dangerous, approaching within “only” 40 LD from Earth though at 9km/5½mi wide it’s bigger than Tantalus. It orbits every 30 months, between 0.9 and 2.9 AU. For comparison, Mars orbits at 1.4-1.7 AU, Venus at 0.7 AU.
Their presence in the 8-fold Merger tempts us to Imagine what Life will be like for us when our Karma is no longer Interminable, nor Fruitless. Panacea tells us that this Merger is a Healing! So it was entirely possible for a Witness to the 27-28 September 2015 Blood Moon to Experience a Significant Burst of Enlightenment. And whether we Witnessed it visually or not, we couldn’t Hide from the Energy of a Blood Moon like this one.
But what about the Kassandra T-Square, the thick red triangle that Challenges the Full Moon? The Full Moon is already a Debate, like any Opposition a Tension between the two sides of a Tug-of-War. But here the two sides are in total agreement – we need to Embrace our Held Emotions to Move into Enlightenment and 5D. So where’s the Tension? Kassandra means Disbelief. Who are we to Claim to be Enlightened? Everyone we know who does that is either a Guru or an Obvious Egotist, sometimes Both.
The green wedge pointing at Kassandra says that the T-Square is Self-Resolving. There’s nothing we need to do except somehow refrain from Interfering in the process as it Unfolds, since it may not Unfold all at once. It can actually help to be Unaware of the astrology at this point, because our lack of Awareness might help prevent our Interference. How does the Self-Resolution Unfold?
The two long green lines are “Quincunxes” – an “Unx” is one twelfth, here 1/12th of the Zodiac or one Sign, and “Quin” is of course 5 – the green lines are 5 Signs long. A Quincunx means Curiosity. Not Curiosity in the sense I gotta figure this out! but Curiosity in the sense of Awe. So our most appropriate Response to the Eclipse would be to Watch or Experience it Slack-Jawed, in Awe. A Quincunx is a Mystery School, where we need to put our 2D tools (Mind) back in the toolchest, Ask to be Informed, and Wait for nD tools to reveal themselves.
There’s a Mysterious Relationship here between Pan, the Primary God of Nature, and Disbelief, that’s somehow involved with the Manifestation of our Enlightenment. And another Mysterious Relationship between Disbelief and The Birth (Klotho) of a New Field (Arachne). Arachne is Grandmother Spider, Who Weaves the Web of Life. So there are things that are Unfolding which are beyond what we can Understand Intellectually.

What sort of nD Relationships with Disbelief are we talking about here? The 2D Mind will only have enough bandwidth to find Metaphors, but we might be able to get more Intuitive Perspective by Asking for a download from our Teachers and Ancestors on the Other Side of the Veil. Just because someone’s on the Other Side, that doesn’t mean they Know more than you do already, but Suzanne introduces simple ways to Validate what you’re Picking Up. If you aren’t in steady Contact with the Other Side of the Veil already, there’s at least a Talking Mirror here. Validation is important, as our Comprehension of this New Field (Klotho-Arachne) is Explicitly Challenged by Untruthes (Square to asteroid Pinocchio).
There’s one more Stellium and one more Conjunction in this Blood Moon chart, so we haven’t Exhausted the Opportunities for mini-Enlightenments yet. They’re Linked to Pan through a Grand Cross (four planets more or less equally spaced around the Zodiac) which introduces a Series of Small Challenges that Complement one another. A Grand Cross is Self-Resolving, though there may be some Temporary Discomfort if the segments of the Resolution are separated in Time.
The Stellium involves Intrusive Memories (Gonggong), Truth of the Mind (Veritas), and Confusion (Neptune). The Intrusive Memories are highly likely to be Clues about our Held Emotions, if we Pursue them as Teachings, and sidestep the Temptation to Relive them as Coulda Woulda Shouldas. The Intrusive Memories Intruded in 2015, but remember that Everything that Ever Happened in a Place Is Still Going On, and we have the advantage that by reviewing the astrology we’re Indirectly Triggering our Experience of the 2015 Eclipse, even if we don’t Remember Experiencing its Energy.
The Truth of the Mind tells us to Compare Everything we Learn here to What We Already Know, but not to Reject Anything that doesn’t Agree, but to Practice our Skill with “Cognitive Dissonance,” the Practice of Holding Contradictory Propositions in Mind at the Same Time without Argument between them, which is Essential Practice for using our Mentality in Dimensions higher than 2.
Neptune, Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity, here completes the Suite by Reminding us that Confusion is the First Stage of Growth in Consciousness. Without Being Comfortable with Confusion and Standing Still for It, we’ll never get to Allowing Cognitive Dissonance to Enliven Paradox. One trick to make it easier to Live with Neptune, is to shift our Vision from the Mind to the Heart, as the Heart Perceives Spirit and its Clarity. If we Channel the 2015 Blood Moon fully here, we won’t be able to Discern the Difference between Intellectual Truth, Confusion, and Ancient Memory, and that’s Important to Grokking the Enlightenment.
Besides Pan and the Gonggong Triad, the third member of the Grand Cross is the Merger between Mars and Orcus – only two Concepts to Merge – how Easy by now, right? Mars is about Action, and Orcus is about Pattern-Making and Pattern-Breaking, namely, Creating and Letting Go of Karma. So we’re Expected to Actively Let Go of any Attachment we have to Self-Sabotaging Habits. The subscript is that Anger may be involved in our Held Emotions, and that there may be Resistance to Letting Go of our Anger, especially if we’ve heavily Invested our Ego into being Victims of our Pet Peeves.
Mars was the God of War, and there’s nothing he Enjoys more. Orcus was the Enforcer of Oaths in pre-Roman days in what is now Italy, and his methods were gruesome, as most of the Oaths he Enforced were involved Commitment to Armies. Commitment to things like Fidelity were not even considered in those days. We were Free then to Abuse anyone or anything of lower status than ours. Financial Commitments were probably more one-way Commitments than two-way “Bargains” as Civilized Law expects. There’s probably no more Important Held Emotion to Embrace, than Anger, as we Experience Anger in the Unconscious as Anger Directed Toward us. Another Clue.
Finally, the fourth corner of the Grand Cross contained The Fall of Overtechnologized Civilization (asteroid Atlantis). If any of your Strategies involve Increasing Complexity, turn around and Walk toward Simplicity instead. Universal Equality and Respect for All Things is probably as Simple as we can get.
The Moon is now In Bounds (Panic less likely), since PDT 6:41 am 31 March 2023 (BST 2:41 pm, IST 7:11 pm IST, AEST 11:41 pm, in 8 Leo). It will move Out of Bounds over the Southern Hemisphere PDT 12:23 pm 9 April (BST 8:23 pm 9th, IST 12:53 am 10th, AEST 5:23 am 10th, in 4 Sagittarius).
The next scheduled Major Threat to our Survival (aka US Federal Reserve announcement of interest rate changes) doesn’t occur till the first few days of May. Which is not to say that unscheduled Major Threats to our Survival couldn’t happen any day now, as the Patriarchy Collapses. For instance, here in Amerika, where 106% of our neighbors are armed, many with automatic weapons, Civil War could begin any day, as a prominent former elected official with a fairly rabid following is being charged with a crime. And of course, in Europe, another “elected” official, already indicted as a War Criminal, has been threatening a Nucular Holocaust for much of a year already. An Aspirant in Asia isn’t far behind. We’ll try to imagine the odds of such “Black Swan” events as we review the astroevents.

Many folks I read refer to 4D as Dreams. Indigenous Australians, along with a few branches of Western Psychology, regard Dreams as Real, and our Waking Life as a version of Reality warped by Karma. Others, using a narrower and Linear Cartesian Perspective, refer to Time as the fourth dimension – Length, Width, Depth, and Duration. Astrology bases most of it’s interpretations on Longitude – Signs and Degrees – and Time as well – Natal, Transits, Progressions. Astrology does also consider Latitude – as transformed to Declination – but much less prominently.1 “Out of Bounds” is a measure of relatively extreme Declension that we pay quite a bit of Attention to, in a very general way.
1Natal is a snapshot of planetary Longitudes and their Interactions (Angles) at your Birth; Transits identify the Interactions between Natal planetary Longitudes and present-moment planetary Longitudes; Progressions use the Relationships between Natal planetary Longitudes and the planetary Longitudes a certain number of Days after your Birth, where that “certain number” is the number of Years of your Life on the Planet. Latitude measures distance from the Equator, while Declension measures the Angular deviation from the Plane of the Ecliptic, which is the plane of the Earth’s Orbit around the Sun. I don’t pretend to be fully educated about the difference between Latitude and Declension, but I do know that in at least some circumstances, the Declension of a planet tells us our Earthly Latitude when we’re on the Longitude corresponding to the planet’s Sign and Degree, and the planet is directly overhead.
In other words, in Cartesian terms, most of astrology is pretty one-dimensional, except that since it’s almost always embedded in time, it becomes two-dimensional. Adding Out of Bounds gives us insight into a third Dimension, so we cover the equivalents of Length, Width, and Time. We add Depth when we talk about Cycles, because Cycles are determined by the Distance of the planets from the Sun, which is highly correlated with their apparent Speed of travel across the Sky when seen from the back yard, or from wherever there’s less ambient light.
I mention all this background because we’re entering a month full of Stellia in Time. I don’t know if other astrologers would consider that appropriate use of astrological terms, but I do. An excellent example is the Stellia in Time that we’re in now, where three planets all Stand Still within 24 hours…

Before we proceed with our consideration of Stellia in Time, we should note that this Swan seems to have great potential to be born with Black feathers.
The most salient part of any Stellium is that We Can’t Separate It’s Components. Because we’re working with the Unconscious where Negation doesn’t exist, we’ve interpreted the three planets as “Issues of” rather than either Side of the Issue identified. So any astrological interpretation must always be matched with its opposite. That is, the Distinctions and Boundaries between Self-Regard, Disregard for Social Convention, and DisTrust will be Blurry at best, if not completely Absent.
So let’s tentatively mark the Extremes, and possible Midpoints or Overviews, of the three Concepts…
Sappho – Self-Love ∈ Self-Regard ∋ Self-Hate
Ixion – Disregard for Rules ∈ Obedience ∋ Rigid Adherence to Rules
Eurydike – Faith ∈ Trust ∋ Paranoia
So we have three Dimensions, and marked three Positions on each. Merging the three, we could Be Faithful to Self-Love Regardless of Our Degree of Obedience. We could Be Trusted to Hate Scoff-Laws. We could Be Paranoid that Too Much Self-Regard Would Lead to Criminal Behavior. Or any of the six other permutations. We could consider the original Mythologies to define a default Position on each Dimension, which would be Self-Love, Disregard for Rules, and Wanting Verification and Consequent Failure.
Or choose any additional points along each Dimension to Combine, such as Self-Doubt about Our Ability to Know How to Act in a Foreign Country. Did you know for instance that it’s an insult to an Arab if you Show them the soles of your feet, by for instance crossing your legs while sitting? In an Eye-for-an-Eye Culture that could be dangerous. Interesting that, “coincidentally,” one immediate Major Threat to our Security, because of our Worship of Wealth, comes from Lack of Trust that our Institutions have the Fortitude to make Narcissistic Sociopaths Follow the Law.
These three Stations are so close in Time that we really can’t consider them Separately, but we also need to Notice that, “coincidentally,” they’re closely followed by…

Pholus-Quaoar – Full Response to Our Survival Instincts ∈ Survival ∋ Failing to Consider Important Vulnerabilities to our Survival.
The original-Mythology Default is mixed – the Pholus Story leading to Significant and Fatal Failure to Consider… and the Quaoar Story leading to Survival through Managing the Landscape Collaboratively and Responsibly. If we Merge this with the Default Mythologies of the other three planets, we’d have something like Feeling Overoptimistic and Waiting too Long to Trust Our Fear that Valuing Individual Wealth More than Environmental Sustainability would Result in the Downfall of the Western Worldview. After the Downfall those who remain are Shepherded into 5D by Survivors of Indigenous 5D Cultures.
Another Morganite Crystal, this one a Frozen Chrysalis of an Ancient Alien. “Morganite brings light to the seat of the self [the Heart] … [ and is] the home of the Gods on earth… [It] literally connects to Heaven… where the [huper] soul may rest when it comes to perfection. Achieving this involves being split and opened by spirit in a lightning burst of revelation and enlightenment. Morganite is a Beryl – Beryllium Aluminum Cyclosilicate, tinted pink by Manganese. In a Cyclosilicate, the Silicate units are organized in Rings, connected on their sides. In a Beryl, Beryllium atoms tie the Rings together in towers. Beryls symbolize Serpent Energy and Kundalini. Like Karma, toxic Serpent Energy is a Profound Riddle to be Solved through Living it, a Core course in the Curriculum of the Mystery School that our Soul enrolled us in.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that how the terms are Merged is entirely Political, as is true of any Either/Or proposition. Truth Is, Nature and Reality are always Both/And. So yes, as Bruce Lipton maintains, the Fall of Western Civilization, and of the Patriarchy, are Necessary Conditions for the Survival of Huperity, because the Worldview of Western Civilization is simply not Sustainable. But that will probably be one of many Outcomes, along with 5D Indigenous Cultures and their Wisdom Helping Others Survive. Michael Roads maps this Future in his fabulously comprehensive Guidebook to 5D, his Eyes of Love trilogy.
The 24-hour Minia that conveniently downplays the Where, and often the When, in most Traumatic News Stories, makes us Forget how Local our Lives actually are. There is room for millions and millions of different Microcultures on Planet Earth to Adapt and Survive, once the Popularity of Global Exploitation becomes less pervasive, for instance through Economic and Technological Failures. In the “Middle Ages” in Europe it was difficult enough to carry food over the Ridge, that it was fairly common for local crop failures to doom one Valley’s population while nearby groups thrived.
We could easily return to that, especially as Greenland melts and the resulting lens of floating Fresh Water stops the warm Caribbean currents from keeping northern Europe warmer than its Latitude. It was the Dutch that helped Medieval Europe develop the Transportation for sharing Food between Valleys, and in the next chapter they may not have enough thumbs to keep themselves above Sea Level, as the Oceans continues to Expand.
So I Believe the Odds of our Way of Life Collapsing Utterly in the next fortnight to be fairly Low, while the Odds of Significant Steps toward that Future occurring to be well above 50%. However, let’s look quickly at the following fortnight…

If your Salacia is Emphasized, or you have other Ambitions for 5D, April is a Mystery School for you, and you want to treat it as such. Let yourself be Torn between Experiencing and Observing and Practice Doing Both Fully Simultaneously as much as you’re Able. It’s Hard, so be very Kind and Forgiving with yourself. You may get the hang of it quickly, or it may take you many more Lifetimes of Practice to become Adept. It doesn’t matter which – Time is an Illusion on this level of Existence.
That’s the Great thing about Karma. Like passing the Bar, No Matter What, we Always get a Do-Over. Even after we Let Go of All Attachment to our Karma, we keep the Patterns. Karma is just Habits we use Unconsciously, whether they’re appropriate to the Occasion or not. When we Drop the Karmic element, we Keep the Habits, because they’re SuperPowers when used in the Appropriate Circumstances. That’s why we Practice them interminably, and just when we think we’ve got it licked, we get to Practice them in whole new Arenas. Enjoying the Journey is Key.
Practice makes Perfect as they say, and we as a Soul would never have Signed Up to become Adept with these SuperPowers, if it wasn’t Critically Important to the Mission our Soul has Chosen.
Wikipedia says either (or ether) Stelliums or Stellia works as a plural for Stellium, which means a group of three or more planets in Conjunction, or Merged.
Interpreting Conjunctions
And that’s the whole “problem” with Stellia – some things (like maybe rhythm) Merge while others (like, say, language) don’t, and everything gets complicated. It actually the same “problem” with Conjunctions, so let’s start there. Suppose we had a natal Conjunction between dwarf planet Sedna (Converting Fear to Power) and asteroid Kassandra (Credibility). Fear and Credibility would be Merged. While most people would be able to tell the Difference between Fear and Disbelief, we wouldn’t be able to. When our Body Encounters Fear we might Disbelieve it and Dismiss it, then Stumble into Untoward Circumstances naively. When People don’t seem to understand what we’re saying, we might Experience that in our Body as Fear.
To most Other People, Fear and Disbelief are different things, and Experiencing them would Trigger different circuits in their Brains. Fear would likely Inspire folks to Seek Safety, and Disbelief might make them try harder to Explain, or Ask more Questions. We’d just be in Fight or Flight, and focusing on an Escape Route. That sort of Merging gets Complex, because being Unable to Communicate can Trigger Ancient Karmic Fear of Banishment and Abandonment from when we were Tribal and completely Dependent upon our Community. Not that this isn’t true of Today’s World, but when the Present Moment reinforces Karmic Fear, it strikes us at a Deeper Level.
Yes, we know that if we’ve Experienced it Before, it’s Karmic and therefore not Present Moment, but when Deep Karma hits we may not have enough of us “home” to Notice – all of our Bandwidth may be tied up in Survival Anxiety. Like any Repetitive Pattern in anyone’s Life, especially Self-Sabotaging Patterns, our first Task is to Find a way to Notice when the Pattern is Triggered. We could Ask ourself, The Last Time that Happened, What Was My Experience Just Before that Pattern Occurred?
When we first start to Work with Negative Karma, the Repetition of the Karma will Overwhelm our Consciousness, and we’ll Regress to the last time, or the worst time, or the first time in the Current Lifetime, or to a Previous Lifetime, and our Attention will likely be Hijacked by the Karma. Greek Tragedies specialize in this Process, and seldom move beyond it, even though I’m sure their Purpose was to bring the Pattern into Consciousness. So we can also Ask ourself, How Old Did I Feel when that Occurred? If you don’t get an Easy Answer to that, Ask yourself, What If I Did Know?
The “First Rule” for Working with Karma of any sort is Safety First. If there’s Any Question about Safety, make Safety your first Priority. When we try to Manifest anything, the first thing we’re going to Manifest is More of the Same. Even if your natural Reaction is Curiosity because you Disbelief your Fear or misinterpret it as Excitement (Fear + Breathing = Excitement after all), and you’re Conscious that you’re Working on Sedna-Kassandra Karma, Ask yourself, What Would I Do If This Was Real Fear? and Follow Up by Making Yourself Safe. Otherwise, by trying to Work while Unsafe or In Doubt, you’ll just add Grout to that Karmic Limitation.
Once we’re starting to Notice when the Pattern Recurs, we can move to Step Two. We tend to Blame ourself and otherwise Feel Badly about Repeating the Pattern, but again, that’s just a Vicious Circle that regrouts the Karmic Wall. Instead of Negatively Reinforcing ourself over the Pattern, we want to Congratulate ourself for Noticing. That begins to set up a Virtuous Spiral instead, and each time you do that, you chip off some of the Karma, and it Weakens.
If the Karma Regresses you to 5 years old, you’ll have Forgotten everything you’ve Learned since you were 5. That can seem like a huge chasm, between 5 and Now. But once the Virtuous Spiral begins, you’ll be Amazed at how Quickly you Recover, because thanks to Congratulating Yourself for Noticing, your Present Moment Self is there to guide your 5-year-old forward. Treat your Inner Children with the utmost Gentleness and Care, and you’ll accelerate the Process even more. With this Process you can Eliminate a Lifetime Karmic Curse within a few weeks.
Interpreting Stelliums
Now let’s see what happens when a Conjunction like Kassandra-Sedna turns into a Stellium. Suppose your natal Kassandra-Sedna is Conjoined by (ie, Merged with) asteroid Magdalena. You might want to read some of the Stories about Mary Magdalene. You might discover how the Romans treated her, and how the Popes made her into a Demon like Lilith or Joan d’Arc, in order to Reinforce two Pillars of the Patriarchy – the Supremacy of the Male, and the Taboo on Relying on One’s Own Authority. You might even Discover that you are, in fact, a Reincarnation of Mary Magdalene.
Or, you could read about how Mary Magdalene was Christ’s most Accomplished Apostle, but had to do it all backwards and in high heels, so no one would notice that a Female was Excelling. And how she moved to the South of France after Jesus left town, and started a Movement. In an undergraduate history class, I was told in all seriousness that the Popes were Compelled to Eliminate these Albigensians or Cathars because they Refused to Procreate. The Popes evidently couldn’t wait till they died out on their own.

So we spent time in the Lightworker Lounge’s Simulator, Allowing it to Hypnotize us into Believing that we Carried Mary Magdalene’s Karma. Then the Simulator triggers its Neuralyzer…
And then the Trap Door Opens, and we’re dropped into a Well-Prepared Waiting Womb. Our Programming begins immediately, via our Gestating Mother’s Emotions and the Chemical Soup they Create, which we Live In for nine months. Then we Hatch and begin to Live our Lightworker Life on Earth with the Mission of Helpingto Heal Mary Magdalene’s Traumas. Our Programmers have been Carefully Chosen to Prepare us for our Mission, which is an Important Part of the Demise of the Age of the Patriarchy and the Birth of what Genia Haddon refers to as the Era of the Yang Female.
Eventually we become Conscious of our Life Missions (we may have many), and, once we Learn that the Universe is not Either/Or like the Mind but Both/And like Nature, we Realize that what we Previously Experienced as Bummers were actually an Amazing SuperPower. Eventually we’ll probably Meet Others who Share our Mission. They’ll Feel Like Soulmates at first because for once we’ll Understand each other till we Realize that, like us, this Mission is only one of our Many Missions.
A Monopoly-like Game called The Transformation Game was Created by several people at Findhorn, and included piles of small cards like the “Get Out of Jail Free” and “Chance” cards. It’s been decades since I played the Game, but I’ll always remember one of those cards. It said, The hardest Tasks are only Given to the Best People. It was very eye-opening for me.
This is how we Interpret Stellia. We Empathize ourself into the “Native” (the person whose astrological “Nativity” is being Read) or the blog reader, and make up Stories using the relevant planets, Signs, Configurations, etc as Seeds. If our Intuition hits home, the Native or Reader will Respond, and you can go from there. It doesn’t matter if the Story is Literally True. What Matters is whether or not the Native or Reader Connects to the Story. As an astrologer on a Free-Will Planet you have no business telling anyone else How the Universe Works. Your job is to Trigger the Native’s or Reader’s Own Hidden Knowledge of How Their Universe works. So you start your Story slowly, with lots of Questions about whether or not it Resonates for them. If it doesn’t Resonate, you Choose another Story. The Universe of Stories is Literally Unlimited.

Ceres (Sustainability, Resilience) is Stationary (Strong) 3-4 February (PST 11 am 3rd, GMT 7 pm 3rd, IST 12:30 am 4th, AEDT Qld 5 am 4th) in 7 Libra (Front-Row Enthusiasm). Remember that Sustenance – Eliminating the Unnecessary – is the first Step toward Sustainability. The chart Challenges us to Let Go Of Attachment to Old Dramas,1 though it’s Fully Self-Resolving. The whole “Climate” Crisis Armageddon (including the Demise of the Patriarchy, Intensified Competition for Dwindling Resources aka War, the Wrath of Mom aka Pestilence and Storms and Floods and Fires and Worse, etc etc) is the Old Drama we need to Let Go Of, because its Scale and Inertia is beyond the Powers of all of us, except when we’re All on the Same Page, and we certainly aren’t that! Asteroid Pinocchio Out of Bounds moving from Sagittarius into Capricorn (from PST 4:19 am 6 February till 20 May) means that our Colorful Little Lies will probably be used Less Often to Distract, and More Often to Manipulate. Asteroid Icarus explores Pisces (from PST 3:29 am 6 February till 22 March, then returning to Aquarius). Icarus, like its namesake, flies close to the Sun and then out past Mars, but its orbit is steeply angled relative to Earth’s. Because it’s so close to us and has such a weird Orbit, it’s all over the Zodiacal Map rather than following orderly Loops like “normal” ‘roids. In Pisces it implies Emotional Risk-Taking, maybe even Exciting Flings followed by Deep Crashes, perhaps at the Ides of February, when OOB Pinocchio crosses Sociopath OOB Ixion in 5 Capricorn. Remember Angels Fly because They Take Themselves Lightly – it’s all just Education about how we get Stuck onOur Thoughts About Our Emotions instead of Appreciating All of Our Feelings as EnergyInmotion. That’s such an Important Lesson for Ascension that it will be worth whatever Chagrin it generates. It won’t be our first Adventure in Overexcitement, this time we can Notice how we use Fantasy to Whip Up the Energy to Soft Peaks.
Asteroid Atropos Enters Pisces 6-7 February (PST 8:43 am 6 February), till 5 April, meaning we’ll be working with Emotional Baggage that’s Beyond its Expiry Date. Karma is Addictive, and when it Expires we’re Lost, as things no longer Feel Normal! We’ll get to Confusion soon, but this is excellent Practice. Your Mirror’s probably already pretty full of Admonitions, but maybe you could paste it on the wall – Confusion is the First Stage of Growth. We Believe Confusion happens in the Mind, but it’s an Emotion, pure and simple. That means Confused By… or Confused About… are Off Limits, they’re Thoughts About Our Emotions, certain This Way to 2D Forever signs, Flashing Red. Yes, it feels Strange, Something Is Missing! Wait a minute… Yahoo, Open Space!! Room for Something New And Exciting (well, not too Exciting, maybe we should wait till after that Pinocchio-Ixion thing).
Asteroid Vesta Leaves Pisces and Moves into Aries 7-8 February (PST 8:17 pm 7 February), until the Ides of April. Vesta is about the things we Take for Granted without even Thinking about it. Our Unconscious Limitations is the prime example. Aries is about Starting Over, a little more Tangy this time. But you know, that Pinocchio-Ixion thing is only a week away, is that too long to wait? We don’t want to Burn Out our Tang Buds. Seriously though (not that Pinocchio-Ixion isn’t Serious), the next two months are a good time to Test Our Limits. Some will have Magically Disappeared, and we may not know which ones till we Test them. Karma is basically Expectations, however, so when Testing we constantly have to Ask, Is This Really Present Moment, or Is It Just a Flushback?
And while we’re at it, asteroid Pallas (Boundaries) comes back In Bounds 7-8 February as well (PST 8:23 pm 7 February). It’s been Out of Bounds since early November. It’s in 11 Cancer, Retrograde, and it’s been in Cancer since early September, and will be till early May, 9 months. It usually takes a ‘roid of Pallas’s Orbit more like two months to cross a Sign. It entered it’s Shadow Period 29 September 2022, turned Retrograde 1 December, will turn Direct again 16 February, and finish with its Review by 23 April. The Shadow Period span is 11-27 Cancer. That covered the Scorpio Duad through the Taurus Duad of Cancer – more than half of Cancer.2
This’ll take us through the first 8 days of February 2023. Then it gets Complicated and Confusing! In the following 8 days we have 7 Stations – Narcissus/Focus on Self, Sedna/Converting Fear to Power, Zhulong/Enlightenment, Aletheia OOB/Truth of the Heart Amplified, Ganesa OOB/Remover of Obstacles, Turbocharged, Hopi OOB/Great Respect for ALL Things, and Pallas/Boundaries – a Workshop on Stelliums or Stellia3 (3 or more planets Merged)! On the last page of Wired Magazine you’re given a sentence, such as “An Animal that hasn’t been Discovered yet,” and you’re Asked to Write a Story about it, using only six words. Then they have an artist draw a picture of your Story. Stellia are like that, but we aren’t limited to six words, though we rapidly loses the Reader’s attention the furthur we go beyond that. It’ll be a Miracle if we can squeeze 7 planets into 6 words, especially since it’s taking us up to six words just for one of the seven planets! But we’ll try, next time.

2A Shadow Period, like a Triple Conjunction, has three phases. In the first phase, Pallas crossed 11-27 of Cancer, adjusting its Boundaries as it went. In the Scorpio Duad of Cancer, Pallas probably kept Boundaries too Tight. Then in the Sagittarius Duad it Loosened them – too much. So it tried to Attune them to the Specific Situation in the Capricorn Duad. In the Aquarius Duad it would have Adjusted them to be Socially Appropriate. In the Pisces Duad Boundaries would be an Emotional Issue, and may have been Adjusted Codependently. The Aries Duad would have seen a Liberation of some sort, Testing Free Will. Finally, Pallas in the Taurus Duad of Cancer would see the Final Version of Cancer’s Boundaries after it’s 2022-23 Adjustments, with all Bells and Whistles Polished.
Here’s a handy table you can use to figure out Duads, should you ever have the need. Duad is sometimes spelled “Dwad,” but I always thought that sounded too much like something you’d Dspit across the Droom with a Dstraw, and Duad is easily compared to Triad, making definition easier. In the table we’ve put 11-27 Cancer in bold as an example…
To use the table, you have a {planet/keyword} such as {Pallas/Boundaries}. You also have a {Sign/Quality} (the columns in the table) such as {Cancer/Nurturance}. So you have {Pallas in Cancer/Nurturing Boundaries}. Now we want more detail, so we go down to the Duads. Here we add {Secondary Sign/Secondary Quality} (the rows in the table) such as {Pallas in Capricorn Duad of Cancer/Pragmatic Nurturing Boundaries}. It’s easier than it looks, and it will add a lot of mileage to your astrology.
Now, the second phase of the Shadow Period is when the planet is actually Retrograde. There may have been snags and hiccups during the first, Direct Crossing of the Shadow Period. The Retrograde Crossing does it backwards, so you can see where there were imperfections and Adjust them. Finally, the third phase, when the planet Crosses the Shadow Period Direct again, is the Confidence-Builder phase. By 23 April, you can consider yourself to have an AA degree in the Social Side (Libra through Pisces) of Nurturing Boundaries. Park this Experience in your Imaginal Resume, and you’ll have it Forever. They say “You Can’t Take It With You” when you Leave the Planet, but in fact, you take with you, for future Intuitive use, everything you Learn in the Lifetime!

A reader writes to say their Sun is at 8 Capricorn. We’ve been writing about 8-11 Capricorn in earlier Wow articles (especially https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2018/12/08/wow-vi/), because asteroids Karma (Self-Sabotaging Habits) and BZ509 (Transcendence), Saturn (The Most Important Thing), and dwarf planet Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty) have all been jammed up in that Zone. Assuming that our reader is rounding up like we all should be…
That is, planets at 7:00 through 7:59 of any Sign are in the 8th Degree or that Sign (such as 8 Capricorn or Capricorn 8), while planets at 8:00 through 8:59 are in the 9th Degree, etc. This makes sense when you realize that planets in 0:00 through 0:59 of a Sign are in the 1st Degree of that Sign.
…then most of this Energy will already have passed for our reader. Since we focus on Interpretation rather than Prediction, that’s no problem for us, and may be a relief for our reader, depending on how pleasant or unpleasant their recent Experience has been. If our reader feels like they have missed an Opportunity, they need to Poor-Sweetheart themself about that immediately. There are no Missed Opportunities, only Lessons Learned, and Learning them after the fact is just as good or better than Learning them mid-stream.
Our natal Sun, astrologically, indicates our Essence. So looking just at “Transiting” (that means “in the sky now,” as opposed to “natal,” which means when you were born – almost everything we talk about here is Transiting) Saturn, The Most Important Thing for our reader is that they be True to their Essence. That usually means dropping all of our Social Conditioning and Programming and other places where we aren’t Speaking and Acting our Truth.
For someone with “Nice Disease” (the need to be Nice all of the time), this idea is usually Horrifying. So maybe our reader has been having a hard time continuing to suppress Capricorn’s natural tendency to dispense Advice more than Expressing Compassion. Capricorn is about Just Fix It, and when Capricorn knows how to Fix It, it can have little patience for excuses, even if Capricorn’s method of Fixing It doesn’t at all apply to the person or Sign they’re talking to. Capricorn Lives in a Material World; most of the other Signs Live in an Emotional or Spiritual or Intellectual World.
We’re talking about Signs here, not people. Individual people have lots of planets in many Signs, so are always much more multidimensional than the characteristics of just one Sign, even if it’s their Sun Sign.
Capricorn/Just Fix It is a very valuable Sign/Principle to have handy when you’re working to solve a Material problem, so Capricorn’s Advice is indispensable. When Pisces describes a problem, though, it’s (again, we’re talking about Signs, not people) usually an Emotional issue (even if it’s described in Material terms), so Material advice feels to Pisces like it hasn’t been heard. Note that this can happen even within one person – if you have Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Pisces, and your Sun for some reason thinks it has all the Answers, your Moon is going to be the odd one out, and your own Happiness and Balance will Suffer.
So looking only at Transiting Saturn, our reader may have recently had a hard time suppressing their Just Fix It tendencies. Of course, if our reader is Self-Aware, they would probably have had some Aha moments about how they Judge themself for not Just Fixing It every time some issue comes up again. For instance, our Karmic issues don’t usually respond to just being turned with a wrench, they need a lot more than that, such as Opening to Held Emotions and the resulting Ego Deaths, which can Deconstruct the very Infrastructure that Capricorn is so proud of building.
So Transiting Saturn-asteroid Karma means that The Most Important Thing is Attending to our Self-Sabotaging Patterns, and Capricorn by itself may not have all of the Tools necessary to do that. So our reader may have recently found themself Integrating diverse elements of their Persona.
When we factor in dwarf planet Hylonome, the need to jettison False Personae gets much more intense. Hylonome can follow a False Path even into Death if we allow it to operate without our Conscious Awareness. Our reader has survived to write to us, so we know that didn’t happen. But they may have had some difficult moments saying NO! to other people with whom they’ve been Merged, or they may have had to bail themselves out of difficult situations where they hadn’t said NO! earlier on.
Then there’s asteroid BZ509, or Transcendence, which can Feel Ecstatic or like someone’s ripping out a finger by its roots. So our reader almost certainly Transcended some elements of these Conundrums at the intersection of Just Fix It, Self-Sabotage, Self-Abandonment, Priorities, and the Material World. And they would have Learned a great deal about these Complexities, probably had some Powerful Epiphanies. And in the process, probably Suffered to one degree or another, since the Convergence of so many issues is intensely Confusing, and few of us Remember immediately that Confusion is the first stage of Growth, and Relax into it.
All of which, by the way, is a good definition, albeit by example, of how an astrological Stellium (group of three or more planets in one place) works its Magic and Misery upon us. And the rest of us, even if we don’t have any planets near 8-11 Capricorn, have probably felt this Conglomeration to some degree. Note too that the neighborhoods of 8-11 Aries, Cancer, and Libra will also be activated whenever 8-11 Capricorn is Lit Up, so most of us Experienced some portion of these Confusions.
Another aside: When we first Open up to a Repressed Energy, its virtual age is the age when it was first Repressed. So if we Learned to always be Nice at age 6, then our Opportunity to be otherwise (such as Honest) will be frozen at the first-grade level. That’s part of the Horror we Experience at having to Open up to Repressed parts of our Persona.
Not to worry. We’ll be very clumsy at first being, eg, Honest instead of Nice, but our Niceness will still be their, so we’ll very quickly come up to speed on Learning to be Nice while being Honest. They aren’t after all mutually exclusive, they just require a bit of finesse to combine, and if you’ve been Nice all your Life, that finesse will come quickly. Often prescribed for women to reverse urinary incontinence after childbirth or aging, they’re just as good for men. I’m not suggesting that champion baseball and basketball players do Kegels, but if you’ve ever wondered how someone can place-hit a 160kph/100mph fastball or coordinate a fast break, it’s a lot easier when Time is moving at half-speed.
After I learned this (from Jack Schwartz, a remarkable workshop of his I was lucky enough to attend), by “coincidence” I went to see the movie Alien, and couldn’t help but do Kegels all through the movie. When I left the theater, it felt as though it took me hours to get home, even though it was about 5k, at 65kph (3 mi at 40mph) – less than 10 minutes clock time. I was alarmed enough by the pace to check my speedometer dozens of times, and every time it said I was traveling at the legal speed limit.
It’s worth having a look at that Tricolor Configuration in the Aries Equinox chart. Since it’s a chart for an Equinox, we can Expect it to impact our Lives and our Planet for much of the next Year…

The end of March looks to be particularly Dramatic, by the way, with Forbidden-Genius Ixion, Full-Responsibility Pholus, and Survival-Instincts Quaoar all Strong at the same time.
As long-time readers will recall, we interpret a Tricolor (so named for the profound reason that it’s made up of a red line, a green one, and a blue one) by focusing on Curiosity (the green Quincunx line) as the means to unlock the Grace (the blue Trine line) hidden in the Challenge (the red Square line).
The Stellia (groups of 3 or more planets) are Challenging enough on their own, even before they Square one another…
Sun-Chiron-Nemesis – Sun (Essence) says we’re going deep, Chiron gives us a Choice between Despairing and Poor-Sweethearting ourself, and Nemesis suggests that we may Feel like we’re Dying or Shamefully Guilty, “simply” because the Ego is Molting.
Ixion-Mars-Pholus-Quaoar – Mars (Urge to Action) will be Agitating our Forbidden Genius (Ixion), likely exciting his/her Resentment at being Forbidden, and Egging her/him to Speak Out and Act Out. Pholus (Responsibility) is about Preparing for Unforeseen Circumstances, those famous Unknown Unknowns. And Quaoar suggests that Taking Full Responsibility may be, or at least Feel like, a Life and Death issue.
So here the Challenge is to Accept some pretty profound Healing by Recognizing that a Part of our Soul has been Forbidden to Be Present in this Lifetime, and that this Part of Us is critical to getting ourself and our Planet into 5D. We were probably Punished by our Programmers when we Acted out this Part of ourself as Children, and as a result we developed certain Beliefs and Values that have molded and Limited our Lives ever since.
These Beliefs and Values are Obsolete and up for Disposal, but they Feel totally Core to our Identity. If you think you know what they might be, you’re probably on the right track, but you’re also probably not quite hitting the mark, as our existing Egos will Protect these Obsolete Values and Beliefs “with its Life.” If you have a lot of Practice Recognizing and Accepting Ego Death, it will likely be Easier, but we can all Expect to be Surprised.
Stellia are the First Harmonic, or Magic. Magic happens when we are able to Shift our Assemblage Point (as Castaneda would say), or Shift our Perspective, allowing us to See the World Newly. When two or more planets converge into the same Zodiacal place, their Energies Merge, yielding new Energies that we don’t Recognize as “Normal.” Like any acid trip, we can either be Freaked Out or Entranced by this glimpse into Hermann Hesse’s Magische Theater.
The third Stellium is Memory-Life Force-Sustainability, or Mnemosyne-Varuna-Ceres. We have Memories that, if Received as a PTSD Flashback that takes us fully out of the Present Moment, can Re-Traumatize us, but which, if we Receive them as a Revelation or Epiphany, have the Power to Heal. We of course would prefer the latter. How to Encourage it?
Through the Grace or Trine (the blue line) – if we can Respond to Pain by Poor-Sweethearting ourself and Opening to Self-Empathy (Chiron), and Respond to Guilt and Ego Death by focusing on the Freedom that will result from Confessing and Abolishing our old Limitations (Nemesis). We complete the circuit and Flow from the Challenge to the Grace, by Paying Attention to the Curiosity embedded in the green line.
The Quincunx (green line) is not about the sort of Curiosity where we’re inspired to look everywhere for Solutions to what we see as a Problem. That’s a Linear Perspective on a Multidimensional Universe. The Dualistic mind likes to see the World through the Perspective of Problems and (maybe) Solutions, but the World is far deeper than that. Better to see the World through the Eyes of a Child, where every Experience is New and Wondrous, and our primary Response is Awe. That Opens us to seeing into the deeper Dimensions.
One way to attempt to Encourage this Innocence is through PIAVA – Prayer, Intention, Affirmation, Visualization, Asking, and its many other variations such as “Feelizing,” Expanding, Commanding, Wondering, etc. So we might PIAVA “I Wonder if I can Hold a Healing Response to Memories of the Punishment I received as a Child for Being my Unique Me before I Learned to ‘Control myself.’ “
Or even “God/Goddess, Creator of All This Is, I Command that I Lovingly and Gently Sustain a Healing Response to Memories of the Punishment I received as a Child for Being Uniquely Myself. It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done. Thank You, God/Goddess. Show me.” If you don’t See Peace, Tap Out the Emotions or tensions or Circumstances, and try again, repeating till you See Peace. You may also want to Poor-Sweetheart any youngsters that show up.
A social worker I know whose job includes negotiating Peace between parties at odds with one another, tells me that in the last month the number of people Freaking Out and insisting on their Right to be an Asshole, has multiplied. This is exactly the Energy we’re talking about. Our Programmers had what for them was an excellent, even black-and-white Mandatory, reason for Punishing us when we Displeased them. Our Forbidden Parts are hidden behind walls of apparently justifiable Shame.
We have to go Deeper, behind the Shame. There is a Pure and Innocent Energy there that has Great Power for Good. It was Misinterpreted by your Programmers, or Misused by us in our initial clumsy attempts to Express it, and probably both. We have to get behind these Misinterpretations and Misuses to the Pure Core Energy that has been Rejected and Abandoned. You can even try a “You Poor Sweetheart, you’ve been Rejected and Abandoned, haven’t you.” Even without a provocation, that could bring you directly in touch with your Forbidden Self.
The flip side of Abandonment is Suffocation. Some of us were shadowed by overattentive Programmers who were Waiting for us to show any hint that we Might demonstrate the Behaviors that they loathed. In many such cases, our Punishments had no apparent relationship to our “Crimes” – we still don’t know why we were Punished, only that we were. The result could be a Free-Floating sense of Inadequacy. We aren’t sure why (though we can make up a thousand justifiable reasons), we just know that we’re Not Fit to be Good Company for anyone Decent.
We Project our Unhealed Karma into our Relationships. We so easily adopt the role of our Programmers when we feel Irritated, and define Other as Wrong. We may do this with zero Awareness, or with a dim Awareness of what we’re doing, but either way, Noticing when you’re Judging Other is a good cue for something like a “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Critical (or Criticized), aren’t you.”
When you get a wee voice Responding to a Poor-Sweetheart, often over your Shoulder (your Abandoned and Suffocated Childhood Selves are likely to be Behind you), you’ve Opened a Gold Mine. Make a Strong Connection to the wee voice, and note it’s location. Extend your Love back to it. The more you can be Open to that wee voice, the more it will talk to you and make this whole Healing process so much Easier.
The Grand Trine (big blue triangle, meaning Dumb-Luck Blessings) to Stationary Hopi – which signifies Respect for All Things – is a great boon suggesting that it will be particularly Powerful to Respond to any Criticism of Self or Other with Tapping, Poor-Sweethearting, or any other Self-Healing process.
“Go inside your being to determine who and what you are. Of course, such a command seems silly for you know who you are. Or do you? It is time to determine what is important to you beyond the 3D pieces of home, family, and country.
“You are global ambassadors not merely community do-gooders. Some of you will take offense at such a statement, even though you have no difficulty proclaiming that you are one with all.
“It is time for you to acknowledge and proclaim your global role.
“You have played the small 3D role despite proclamations from us and other channeled sources that you are god/goddesses. Such was, if you will, allowed until now. For you are moving into a phase far beyond anything you imagined when you initiated your new you transition.
“You dreamed you could create that which would make you more comfortable in your 3D world – perhaps a new home or relationship. Enough to proclaim you were a creator, but not enough to remove you from your comfort zone.
Such is not to be. Granted you are fully capable of creating that which makes you joyful in your current life, but that is a small part of what you wish to achieve in this lifetime.
“You learned that you are to change the world. You learned that such would be easy, that you could protest if you wish, but that you could also change the world with a joyful walk in nature.
“It is time for you to move beyond your small 3D life to global achievements. Perhaps such a statement frightens you for you have no idea what that means. Are you to travel throughout the globe? Give up your comforts? Demand new political divisions? No. You are merely required – and required is the correct word – to go within to discover what your aspect, your piece of this new Universal creation is.
“What gives you joy? That is your magnifying glass to your new creations. For indeed, you are beyond your tiny 3D life.”

We pointed out earlier that while our Guidance would be Clear, our Actions would be less Coherent. That doesn’t mean we’ll be Clumsy. It means that every time our Actions don’t immediately yield What We Intended, we need to Pay Attention to What We Need to Learn.

As with all Signs, we can run them Positively or we can run them Negatively. Remember though that the World (and hopefully your segment of it) needs ultimately to be in Balance, and is Multidimensional as well, so don’t get stuck in Archetypes that worship either side of that Duality.
(Actually, the World and yourself are always in Balance, it’s just that whatever is needed to Balance your Conscious side resides in the Unconscious. Since the Unconscious actually rules us, then from this Perspective, the nicer you are, the meaner you really are – and vice versa.)
You’ve been to performances where you’ve been Exhausted afterward, and other performances where you’ve felt Energized after. That’s the difference between someone who builds their own Confidence by sucking other people’s Energy (we can think of a prominent example who lives in a house that’s being remodeled at the moment), and someone who Shares their Abundant Leonine Self-Love broadly. Abundance is having enough to Share, After all.
This is the Duality often represented by Leo, where Sun and Mars and Atropos (Endings) are all parked at this Full Moon, along with the North Node (Lifetime Mission), Veritas (Truth), and Varuna (Life Force). Varuna will be in Leo for the next quarter-century, which should put a very Auspicious carpet under this Planet for a long while. As for Mars in Leo, if we wrote a song about our Anger, would it draw a cheering crowd? And when we mingle with the crowd afterward, are they the kind of people we’d Feel at Home with?
We all need a place to return to where we are Understood and Respected and Loved for exactly Who We Really Are, so for all but the most Saintly among us, that first sort of Community is what we need to Create, to make a Safe Space for us while we put the finishing touches on our Saintliness. While Anger tends to Divide, the presence of Atropos suggests that Expressing our Anger may help to Let It Go.
This is what the Leo-Aquarius Axis, which this Full Moon Illuminates, is all about, the Coin that unites the Duality. Leo is the epitome of the Individual Self, Aquarius the epitome of Community. Leo represents Fixed Fire, Stabilized Energy, or Spirit Manifested into Form. Aquarius represents Fixed Air, Ideology, or Intellect Manifested into Form. Michael Roads goes to great lengths to differentiate Intellect from Intelligence. To him Intelligence derives from the Heart and Gut, while Intellect derives from the Left Brain.
The Intellect is more than capable of supporting Intelligence, though in the Patriarchy, it’s more likely to support Morality, Politics, and the Preservation of Privilege. Intellect is finely tuned for Logical Analysis, but Logic is a house of cards built upon Assumptions. Propaganda manipulates your Logic without being Clear that its Assumptions may not be Universal. To Transform Aquarius into Intelligence Manifested into Form, we need to Let Go of our Karmic Archetypes. Our Archetypes and Limiting Beliefs are no more and no less than Unconscious Assumptions. As long as they’re Unconscious, we can only see half of the Universe.
While Astrology deals with Dualities, it also deals with the Multidimensional. Leo and Aquarius are not Complete without the other two Fixed Signs, Scorpio and Taurus (and of course the Fixed Signs are not Complete without the Creative and Mutational Signs). Scorpio as Fixed Water or Emotion, and Taurus as Fixed Earth or Matter, represent the Stabilized Emotional and Material aspects of Reality. Of course, depending on your Archetypes, Emotion and Matter can be Stabilized into either Constructive or Deconstructive Directions.
The Klotho-Sappho Conjunction (Creating a New Timeline Based on Self-Love), which is the Focus of the Full Moon T-Square, is in Scorpio, so we’re dealing with an Emotional version of Self-Love. That means the tears that come naturally to your eyes when someone validates the parts of you that are Unseen – your Genius Project, for instance – and when someone perpetrates an Act of Kindness that your own Personal Values wish everyone would do All the Time. And the Grace you Feel when someone Validates your Anger. The Leo-Aquarius Full Moon is about the Dynamic between the Individual and the Collective – between You and Other.
Which means that the Taurus or Matter side of the Four-Dimensional Balance is Vacant – we need to Consciously Ground the Energy. The Vacancy is at 16 Taurus, “The inadequacy of past knowledge in times of crisis.” Hmmm. I’d rephrase that as “…in times of rapid Change” – in a Stable environment, traditional knowledge is actually very Powerful in a crisis. But the point is that we need to PIAVA how to Ground ourself and our Milieu.
There is, however, a Fixed Star in that location, Almach, which is the left foot of the Sacrificial Goddess Andromeda. Foot as in Power, left as in Feminine Power. Andromeda is a symbol of an Out-of-Power Tradition victimized by the Dominant Paradigm. In other words it’s important to bring Self-Trust into Expression of our Anger, and to remember that our Intention is Self-Expression, not to be Understood. If the Perpetrators Understand our Anger at their Oppression, their Dominance will be threatened, and they will be highly Motivated to torment us further.
Our Objective in Expressing our Anger is not Revenge or Restitution, but to Let Go of its Karmic Grasp of us. Actually, our Karma does not Grasp us, our Ego Grasps it. It’s a foundation for our Ego. So to the Ego, it Feels as if it’s the Karma doing the Grasping. We cannot Raise our Vibration until we Let Go of our Archetypes, including our Anger. While it feels like we’re Angry at the Perps in our Present Life, it has Karmic Roots that will not be pulled out by striking out in the Present Life.
To Let Go of Anger or any strong Emotion, we need to start by Poor-Sweethearting it. Strong Emotions are not Comfortable, and we need to Empathize with our own Discomfort. “You poor Sweetheart, you Feel Angry, don’t you.” It’s meant as a declaration of Self-Compassion, not an Accusation. If being Angry makes you a bad person, find a substitute that isn’t. “Your poor Sweetheart, you really Feel Irritated, don’t you.” Or “Agitated,” or “Worked Up.” Then Change the Subject, and see how long it takes for your Anger to return as a thought-stream.
The next time it arises, Tap it Out (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVd6Ww0as4). If it’s at all serious, it will take several Iterations. Measure the Intensity of your Anger on a scale of 1 to 10 before and after each Iteration, so you can Witness your Progress. Alternate Poor-Sweethearting, Tapping, and any other PIAVA you can Create, making sure to Change the Subject after each process.
We should note that the Full Moon and the T-Square occur on the Midpoints of the Fixed Signs, which are the Power Points of the Zodiac, symbolizing the Four Horsepersons of the Apocalypse – Apocalypse to the Ego, Liberation of the Soul.
We mentioned Obsession recently in this context, as Obsession can make it particularly difficult to Change the Subject, and a reader wrote to ask us how one might address Obsession. Well, the first question I’d ask, is how might Obsession be indicated in their chart?
If it’s really an Appropriate Expression of their natality, then they may only need to Learn to Love it to Death. That may not stop the Obsession, but it would make it more Pleasant, as once they Learned that, Obsession would trigger Love and Pleasure for them instead of Discomfort. Of course, Learning to Love Obsession will likely involve a good deal of Ego Death, as at least some part of them wants it to go away, and they probably have a big backlog of Other People telling them it’s wrong. But that’s all just a map of where they need to go to Learn to be Loving with it.
So, is Obsession an Appropriate Expression of their natal chart? What would we look for?
Well, the most obvious place to start looking is Scorpio, and to a lesser extent Taurus. These signs, especially Scorpio, don’t Let Go when they get hold of something they don’t fully grok yet, especially something Emotional, and especially something that seems Unfair. Does our friend have planets in Scorpio?
Well, yes. seven of them. We work with 45 planets and other points, so the average Sign should contain less than four planets. So seven is a whole bunch.
We can start by what we would tell any Scorpio that might help them Love themselves…
Scorpio is Compelled to Get to the Bottom of Things. We first Meet Other in Libra, and it raises all kinds of Questions for us, about whether We’re Okay and They Aren’t or They’re Okay and We Aren’t, whenever there seems to be a Conflict or even Contrast between us. This is how we first Discover that our own Childhood may not have been as Loving as it could have been, so it’s not at all trivial.
It’s not easy for Anyone to get to You’re Okay and I’m Okay, and for Scorpio it becomes a Compulsion. It takes a great deal of Maturity to understand that the end point is You’re Okay and I’m Okay rather than You’re Okay or I’m Okay, which complicates the whole process until we Realize that. We also have to Realize that just because You’re Okay and I’m Okay, that doesn’t mean I have to Tolerate you if you aren’t my cup of tea.
Also, Scorpio is Fearless in their Pursuit of Truth. Fearlessness is the most prominent element of Scorpio. Other people do not Trust Scorpio, partly because Scorpio asks penetrating questions that require them to examine themselves more deeply than they usually like to, partly because Scorpio has a tendency to make and hold eye contact longer than most people are comfortable with. Other people often feel like Scorpio is Looking into the Soul (which it is), and if they aren’t fully in Self-Love, it makes them want to run away.
Because of these kinds of Reactions from Other, Scorpio is one of the most difficult Signs to Embody in Left-Brain-worshiping Western Cultures. Remember we aren’t talking about folks with Sun in Scorpio, we’re talking about anyone with a strong emphasis in Scorpio – or Pluto, Scorpio’s “Ruler” – in their natal chart or even in their Transits and Progressions.
These kinds of influences often draw Scorpio toward Addiction, and Teaching them to Love Themselves Exactly As They Are is the first step to helping them get out of Addiction, as the most prominent trigger for their Desire to Medicate is the Anxiety produced by their Need to Get to the Bottom of Things that are Forbidden to them. Strong Scorpio is a good indicator that a person’s Forbidden Genius lies in sophisticated Research of Private Investigation.
That’s the gist of what we would tell any Scorpio, or anyone with a strong Pluto, in a reading.
So, which planets are we talking about? Ixion (Forbidden Genius), Quaoar (Survival Instincts), Ceres (Sustainability), Klotho (Plotting a New Timeline), and Vertex (Intuition) are all at the Midpoint of Scorpio, which just happens to be (there go those Coincidences again!) where Transiting Klotho and Sappho (Starting a New Timeline based on Self-Love) happen to be sitting as we speak, making their T-Square to the 7 August Full Moon.
Whoa, this is Big. The Midpoint of Scorpio is one of the Four Horsefolk of Ego Death, so we probably have a case of chronic Self-Attack (that is Ego-Attack, not Soul-Attack). Sir Self-Lance-a-Lot. All very strongly Lit Up this week. So we’d prescribe a strong ongoing dose of Poor-Sweethearts. Can we even interpret a Klotho-Sappho Transit, Square to a Full Moon, sitting on a natal Ixion-Quaoar-Ceres-Klotho-Vertex Stellium?
Oops, have to interrupt again. A Stellium (three or more planets in the same place) isn’t easy. What would we tell someone with a Stellium in their chart, to help them Learn to Appreciate their Uniqueness?
Well, the Culture we grow up in has certain Differentiations that are an integral part of the Culture. For instance, Boys are different from Girls, and never the twain shall meet. What fireworks have been going on the USofA when that Differentiation is Challenged! The youngsters understand that they’re both just People, but the Differentiation is so ingrained in the brains of the oldsters that they fight it all the way to the “Supreme” Court, and Obsess (!) on it.
So when we have two or more planets in the same place, we don’t know the Difference. Folks who start a Life when Mars and Venus are Conjoined (in or close to the same Degree) have no idea that there’s any Difference at all! So they have a difficult time Relating to, and Being Related to by, anyone who’s Obsessed with the Difference, because their brains are wired very differently.
And that’s just two planets. With a five-planet Stellium, the difficulty of Communicating with Others is multiplied many times. To start with, only 2.5% of us will have a 5-planet Stellium (using 45 planets), so we can expect to be able to Communicate at all with one person in 40. However, what’s the probability that the next person with a 5-planet Stellium is going to have a Stellium that includes the same five planets?
Without breaking any blood vessels in my brain, I’d guess that would be something like 1/9 to the fourth or fifth power, or about one person in 60,000, although that assumes that the 45 planets are distributed randomly around the Zodiac, which is far from true. You could start a worldwide club, advertising on the internet to connect with everyone who started Life with a Ixion-Quaoar-Ceres-Klotho-Vertex Stellium. You might end up with just the people who were born on the same day and year as you.
And now you’re going to run into another problem. Very few of these people will have ever learned to Love themselves, even if their Stellium isn’t in Scorpio. When you meet a Soulmate, if your Self-Love isn’t Total, you’re going to Project your Self-Rejection all over one another, and end up hating one another, very soon. I once introduced two people with very similar, very unusual birth charts, Scorpios even, and they became housemates. That lasted about a month before they ran screaming from one another.
So until you Learn to Love your own Uniqueness fairly thoroughly, you may need to settle for non-intimate Relationships for a while. Look for people who are already Ascended or Enlightened, who may be able to Accept you Exactly As You Are, even if they’re not like you at all – they may even find your Uniqueness fascinating. There should be a reasonable number of those folks around. You won’t be their Onliest…

as Leonard Cohen put it, but at least you’ll be Accepted, and you’ll get a taste of what it will be like to Love your Uniqueness, till you Lesrn to Obsess on Loving your Uniqueness.
Well, we know that this person, on the Soul Level, Intends in this Lifetime to Get to the Bottom of Self-Abuse (and I don’t mean self-pleasuring) once and for all (Klotho-Sappho). So they probably “hired” parents and other significant adults that programmed a good deal of persistent Self-Rejection (Ixion-Quaoar-Ceres) into them as Children. That’s how we do it – whatever we Intend to Let Go Of permanently in a Lifetime, we on the Soul level make sure we get a big dose of it, so we’ll Recognize it and be Motivated to Change the Pattern.
So, with Mars and Atropos on the Full-Moon Sun, it would be a fabulous time to start writing a series of Angry letters, that they don’t intend to send, to their Childhood Programmers, so they can begin Getting to the Bottom of their Abandoned Genius’s Real Feelings. We can Learn about Blame and Responsibility later.
Oh, did I forget to mention that Jupiter (Amplification) and Sappho (Self-Love) are also in Scorpio? So our friend is even more Determined to break out of her prison of Self-Admonishment, as she has Chosen (on the Soul level) to Obsess about her Amplified Desire for Self-Love!
Did someone say Obsession? Damn Right! Obsessed with this prison-break, and for damn good reasons!!! It’s a central theme of their Soul-level Plan for the Lifetime! So come Hell or High Water, they need to start Obsessing (and PIAVAing) on Learning how to Celebrate Obsession like it is the Incredible Gift to themselves that it truly is! Set a timer, and Celebrate Obsession at least once an hour, every day.
Okay, with the preliminaries out of the way we can get down the the meat of the issue. Their Ixion-Quaoar-Ceres-Klotho-Vertex Stellium is Opposed by Chiron (Despair and Miracle). That’s like a dagger held by her Programmers, slicing little chunks out of her skin constantly. To move from Despair to Miracle we need to Empathize with our Despair. “You Poor Sweetheart, you really Feel Down on yourself, don’t you.” Now, we know that Changing the Subject (which gets the mind and old Karmic Patterns out of the way so they don’t re-up the Despair) won’t be easy – that’s the whole issue, isn’t it.
So we can try building a strong practice of Tapping (YouTube link above). “Even though I’m Obsessing about this Despair, I deeply and completely Love and Accept myself.” Measuring the Intensity of Feeling (0 to 10) before and after each of many Iterations will be important – as long as you’re getting any reduction, keep Tapping, till you get close to zero. If you aren’t getting reduction, try alternating with Poor-Sweethearts, or Dancing, or doing anything Different. This is Multi-Lifetime stuff, so you need to be Obsessive about working on it, but then, that’s your specialty, eh?
Phew, that’s a lot, isn’t it. Are we done? Not a chance. Mercury, of all people, makes a T-Square across the Opposition between the Ixion-Quaoar-Ceres-Klotho-Vertex Stellium and Chiron. Now we have to interrupt again, since T-Squares are quite difficult, so we have to give our standard speech about how to Love a T-Square…
A T-Square is like a graduate seminar. We Expect to be able to “get it right” once in a while, so we can feel halfway Competent. But with a T-Square, there is no “getting it right.” In a graduate seminar there are no right Answers, only clever and relevant Questions. No matter how long anyone Lives a T-Square, they’ll never Feel Satisfied about it, until they Learn to Appreciate that on a Soul level they’ve adopted this Issue as a Lifetime Learning Opportunity, and each time it arises – which is likely to be daily – they’ll be working on a new, more subtle and broader, version of the same Lesson.
It’s pass/fail, and you only pass when you Recognize that this is your Lifetime Study Project, and Honor yourself for the Fact that you actually know a Hell of a lot more about it than most anyone else on the Planet, because you wrestle with it daily. You begin to Change a “bad” Habit by Noticing that you’re Doing it again, and Congratulating yourself for Noticing rather than Cursing yourself for Doing it again – substituting positive reinforcement for negative reinforcement, because reinforcement is cumulative.
So when you Notice that you’re working on that Issue again, Congratulate yourself for looking at it from yet another Perspective, and Honor yourself for all of the Perspectives you’ve already Discovered, rather than Indulging your Frustration at not getting it Right yet again, you’ll shift your Perspective toward what is otherwise one of your greatest Frustrations.
That’s what T-Squares are all about. Now, what about this Mercury T-Square? Well a Mercury T-Square (until you make the shift we just talked about) means that your mind is always picking at you. Anxiety ‘R’ Us, and it’s not just Worry, it’s Negative Self-Talk. So we have to Learn to Notice that we’re Doing Negative Self-Talk again, Congratulate ourself for Noticing, and Honor ourself for how Skilled we’ve actually become at dealing with Negative Self-Talk.
If a friend complained to you about their Negative Self-Talk, I’ll bet you could give them a thousand suggestions for dealing with it. You’re a World Expert on Negative Self-Talk. You could write best-sellers about it. You need to Honor yourself for that, even if it doesn’t Feel True at first. I guarantee you, it is True.
Now, we’re dealing with Negative Self-Talk about Chiron Opposite a Ixion-Quaoar-Ceres-Klotho-Vertex Stellium, which isn’t chicken-feed. With Quaoar-Ceres-Klotho-Vertex as part of your Stellium, a deep part of you (with strong Scorpio, Diving Deep is one of your greatest Skills) knows Intuitively (Vertex) that your Survival (Quaoar) is Assured (Ceres) once you Begin (Klotho) to Love Yourself Exactly As You Are. You just don’t know where to start because no one has ever Mirrored your True Self to you.
Then we add Ixion. We have to interrupt again for our Learn-to-Love-Ixion speech…
Ixion was the Bad Boy of the Greek Pantheon, who was basically a sociopath who thought all rules applied to everyone else (like that fellow in the house that’s pained white and being remodeled). Well, talk to any Accomplished Genius, and they’ll tell you they didn’t get there by following other people’s rules. To live Genius you need to break as many rules as you can get away with.
But you’ll always be condemned for it. So, not actually being a sociopath, you’ll need to develop a thick skin about Criticism from Others. And with your parents and other Programmers probably very Critical people, you’re going to have a lot of Olde Reactions to Criticism, and probably “Leave your Body” (space out) when someone starts Criticizing you. Well, you probably want to enlist some friends and Act Out a thousand Criticism scenarios, till you can Stay Present with Yourself when being Criticized, and Learn when Defending yourself is a waste of time that’ll just get more Criticism, and How to Defend yourself when it’s worth it (ie, with a Relationship you Want to Keep).
In Cultures that Value Conformity, Ixion is Rejected out of hand. That’s why we refer to that part of ourself as our Forbidden or Abandoned or Pathological Genius, and refer to Recovery of that part of ourself as our Genius Project. It’s a Big Project for everyone, but especially important for you. Eventually, once you become the World’s foremost Psychoanalyst, or the World’s most Unique Artist who Communicates with parts of people that have never been Communicated to before ever, you’ll understand how Unique you are, and Honor it.
But meanwhile, there’s homework to be done, because you’re probably in the Habit of giving your Unique Genius more Negative Self-Talk than anyone. So you’ll have to Learn toNotice that you’re Doing Negative Self-Talk about your Unmirrored Uniqueness again, Congratulate yourself for Noticing, and Honor yourself for how Skilled you’ve actually become at dealing with Negative Self-Talk about your Uniqueness.
Lots of work ahead, but at least now you have a curriculum.
What’s that? Oh, we aren’t quite done? Oh yeah, remember that Jupiter-Sappho in Scorpio? Well, it happens to be in a “Grand Cross,” Opposite a Stellium of Chaos (Unlimited Potential), Sedna (Fear), Chariklo (Self-Confidence), and Moira (Choosing Consciousness), with Sedna Stationary (Strong), Square to a Stellium of Sun (your Essence), Atropos (Endings), and Mnemosyne (Memory), which is in turn Opposite to a Stellium of Orcus (Breaking Vows), Hylonome (Escaping from Archetypes), and Lachesis (Duration), with Lachesis Exactly Stationary (very Strong). All this is actually enormously Positive, but there’s a lot in it that needs to be Learned to Love.
We won’t take that up now, we’ll save it for after you’ve digested some of the earlier homework, which is more than ample. The earlier homework is Lit Up Bigtime by the Full Moon, so it’s a more current assignment anyway. This later Grand Cross is Lit Up only by the Transiting Conjunction of Varuna (the Life Force) and Veritas (Truth), which is actually quite a lot, but nothing compared to how much your Mercury T-Square and Ixion Stellium are Lit Up.
Oh, also, when you’re ready, remind me to talk about the “Vacancy” to your Mercury T-Square.
And, once you’ve started on the earlier homework in earnest, we can talk about that friend you mentioned, and see how they might, by virtue of their own birth chart, inadvertently trigger either your Mercury-Chiron-Ixion-et al T-Square or your Lachesis-et al Grand Cross, or both. We’ll also need to cover Blame and Responsibility then.
Oh, and since Pluto (Transformation) is similar to Scorpio, and likely to be involved in Obsession, we should eventually look at that too. It’s after all Conjunct Saturn (The Most Important Thing), so that’s a strong indication that Obsession is actually your Greatest Skill, you just need to Learn to Love it. Also, Pluto-Saturn makes a T-Square across your Nodes (Why You Took This Lifetime), so that’s another indicator that This is the Lifetime you Chose, on the Soul level, to become the World’s greatest Expert on Obsession, and once and for all Let Go of your Ego Attachment to it, and Let Go of your Rejection of Obsession and of yourself.
Plus, Nessus (Abuse and Privilege) is on your North Node (Your Mission in the Lifetime) and Moon-Venus (Your Instincts and Values) is on your South Node (The Karmic Impediments to your Mission that you Chose on the Soul level to help you Accomplish your Mission in the Lifetime, which Impediments happen to hide the Skills you need to Accomplish your Mission), further complicating this T-Square.
That’s a lot, but Remember that, as the Findhorn Transformation Game says, the Hardest Assignments are only given to the Best People.
Opal comes in many forms, and is useful for many purposes, including Soul Retrieval. Opal is just Quartz with a bit of Water included in the Crystal Structure. It’s the reflection off the Water molecules that creates the “Fire” or Dance of Colors in Opal. This is an Oregon or Jelly Opal.

After dwarf planet Sedna turned Retrograde today, it took three and a half hours for Wall Street to realize that the Fear had subsided and they could buy again. Sedna’s a newcomer, so nobody knows a lot about it, but I interpret it as Actions taken out of Fear, and that’s certainly what Wall Street’s been doing for the last several days. When a planet is slowing to a stop, in this case turning Retrograde (backward in the sky), we feel the planet’s effect very strongly while it’s slowing down. Then once it stops and starts moving again in the opposite direction, the impact usually diminishes quickly.
The exception is when we personalize the Energy, and make Decisions based on it. For instance, if we attributed the Fear around Sedna’s Station to economics, we might make a Decision to get out while we can. Then we’ll be selling into any Recovery the market makes. In that case, the impact of Sedna’s Station could linger long after the event. It remains to be seen whether this is the first body blow of the Monster Depression that the bears have been predicting for years. Economists are well know for predicting twenty of the last twelve Recessions. But as corrections go it’s pretty routine – sure, it was 1,000 points, but that’s only six percent, and a correction of that size is long overdue.
Which doesn’t diminish the fact that we’re in uncharted territory, where derivatives (which are gambles about bets on wagers) could turn a 1,000-point decline into 10,000 points overnight if the wrong bull was gored. And that yes, a Monster Depression is likely sometime between now and 2020, which is why we’ve been advising alternative approaches to Survival for many years as part of our Perspective on the Chiron-Neptune Cycle – growing your own food, exploring small-scale entrepreneurship with things like the Maker Movement, finding our Tribe, working toward Sustainability in any way we can.
Chiron is the poster child for a group of dwarf planets that we want to talk about today, the “Centaurs,” so named because they appear to be half asteroid and half comet, like the Centaurs of Greek fame that were half horse and half Huper. The astro-Centaurs orbit between Saturn, Uranus and Neptune – that is, between the Will, the Individual Unconscious, and the Cultural Unconscious, or between the Ego, the Individual Soul, and the Group Soul. As such they deal with Emotions that are on the Edges of our Consciousness. For instance…
Chiron deals with Discouragement/Despair over the Shortcomings of our Limiting Beliefs, which we perceive as Limitations of Reality; once we Lovingly Witness our Despair we Expand our Consciousness and are visited by Perspectives beyond our previous Limiting Beliefs
Chariklo deals with the Expectation of Privilege, from the Female side (Nessus from the Male side); like Self-Love, the Expectation of Privilege tends to be Mirrored by external Reality
Hylonome deals with our Identity – Ego-Identification or Merging with people or things outside ourself, and in particular the Ego Death which we experience as Grief when our external Mirror-Image is broken
Pholus deals with the Expectations of Others, and how well we meet them; it’s about Taking Full Responsibility for what’s important to us and important to those with whom we have tacit or explicit contracts
The Centaurs represent Challenges, Challenges that we meet by Expanding our Consciousness to include Awareness of these Emotional issues which often blind-side us till we Learn to include them in our Emotional repertoire. One of the characteristics of Centaurs is that their orbits are unstable; they could get a wild hair and fly out of here in any given millenium.
The other group of dwarf planets that we want to talk about today are “Plutoids” – asteroids that orbit in the neighborhood of Pluto. There’s a big shift between Neptune and Pluto. Neptune is the last of the four “Gas Giants” – huge planets that are mostly Gas, too small but otherwise Star-like – along with Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter. Beyond Neptune we find only small iceballs like Pluto. Because it’s so large, Neptune’s gravity exerts a big impact on the orbits of many Plutoids.
Pluto is generally associated with the “Universal” Unconscious, or the Zeitgeist, the flow of Time. As such, it’s about Transformation – or Trance Reformation, as the Zeitgeist evolves or devolves – and about the things we pretty much must do or not do, if we don’t want to end up on a siding in the flow of Time. While the Centaurs work on the Edges of Consciousness, the Plutoids work, for most people, beyond the Edges of Consciousness. So we don’t normally see the Plutoids as within our Span of Control. Of course it’s As-Without-So-Within and We-Are-All-One (including all the Entities that we don’t routinely personify), so the Edges of our Span of Control are really only the Edges of our Consciousness.

Quaoar – the Law-Giver, not for the sake of Order, but for the sake of Survival; Quaoar defines the Edges of Survivability
Ixion – Impulse, the Desire Body, that operates without concern for Other
Chaos – Unlimited Potential
Haumea – Rebirth
Eris – the principle of Denial and the Changes required by its Revelation
Makemake – Manifestation
Sedna – Actions taken out of Fear
Sedna is an outlier here; Pluto and all of the others orbit between 30 and 100 times as far from the Sun as is Earth, while Sedna’s orbit ranges between 76 and 936 times as far from the Sun as we are. For reference, Jupiter is at about five times, Saturn 10, Uranus 20, and Neptune 30 times.
All of which is background for early September, because between 4 September and 9 September, Ixion, Chariklo, Pholus, Hylonome, and Quaoar are all Stationary – and all more or less in the same place. Astrologers call it a “Stellium” when three or more planets convene in the same Zodiacal place, but here we have a Stellium of five, all Stationary at the same time. During a Station, as we said at the beginning, the impact of a planet is greatly exaggerated. And during a Stellium, the Energies of the Conjoined planets are combined, which creates Energies we aren’t used to.
For instance, we’re well acquainted with the Energy of Assertion, Mars, and the Energy of Receptivity, Venus. But now that they’re Conjoined (as they are on 31 August, with the Energy felt most strongly for the several days prior), do we know what to do with Assertive Receptivity or Receptive Assertiveness? “Go screw yourself” is a common insult, but we don’t usually mean it literally. If you “accused” most people of Androgyny, they’re likely to give you a similar insult. Yet achieving Androgyny, where our Receptivity and our Assertiveness are Balanced, is a Mission of the Soul. Would you recognize it if you saw it? And if so, would you admire it? Can you imagine how it might Feel to be Androgynous? And this is only two planets.
In our 4-9 September Stellium we’re dealing with five dwarf planets being Strong at the same time, all of which have impacts much more subtle than Assertiveness and Receptivity. And by the way, Venus is also Stationary during this period, and while it’s not in the same place, it’s in a Harmonic location to the Stellium.
Venus is Trioctile to the Stellium, indicating that the Stellium of Stations will be inspiring us to evolve our Values.
In addition, the Stellium is Stationary very close to the Galactic Center. This means that as these subtle Unconscious Energies combine they will be Channeling a message – Instructions – to the Unconscious from the Galactic Command Post. So we can Expect to see a shift – a Major Shift, whether too subtle to Notice or not – in the Consciousness of the Planet. What sort of Shift? While since it’s Unconscious it’s not for us to know in any detail, yet if we can get an idea of what to look for, we can in a general way Witness it and Grow our Consciousness.
There are many other related Planets in the early-September chart; we’ll discuss their role as we go on. But for now, let’s focus on trying to imagine how the Energies of the five dwarf planets in the Stellium might combine.
While the Stellium combines all five planets, two are close together but separated by a few Degrees from the other three, which are also close together. So we can start by looking at the Pair and the Triad, then trying to tie them together.
The Pair is Pholus and Ixion. We’ve talked about these two before, as they’ve been traveling together for a while. Ixion is Uncontrolled Desire, Pholus Full Responsibility for the consequences of our commissions and omissions. So this combination seems to be about Taking Full Responsibility for our Deepest Desires. Our religious training would suggest that we interpret that as Taking Full Responsibility for controlling our Deepest Desires.
But since the astrology we practice is about Healing and Integrating, we interpret it as Taking Full Responsibility for allowing and welcoming our Deepest Desires. To the extent that they’ve been repressed (which we can assume – if you already Love your Deepest Desires, this is an opportunity for you to go Deeper), there will likely be some personal and social discomfort involved at first, as we experiment with how to let them out of their cages.
The Triad is composed of Quaoar, Chariklo, and Hylonome, and this Triad sits astride the Galactic Center, so forms the core of our Instructions.
Chariklo symbolizes Beauty and Grace, and Humans are wont to give deference to Beauty and Grace – hence Chariklo has the flavor of unearned Privilege. Of course Beauty and Grace can be Learned and so may carry a price and Feel earned. Yet to Grow our Consciousness we may be Asked to Notice that we give deference to Beauty and Grace in situations where it may not be in our own best interests. He turns the notions of Beauty and Grace upside down (but so what – astrology is about dimensions, not directions on the dimension), but we can’t help but wonder if The Donald (Trump, that is) isn’t personifying this Energy. If that hunch is true, then we should expect to be hearing a lot less about him by mid-September.
Hylonome was a female Centaur who immediately committed suicide with the lance that killed her lover. So we have the concepts of Unbearable Grief, but even more important, the concept of Identification with Other to the point that the Self is virtually non-existent. The implication is that we all have elements of our Identity that are Other-based. Just as Fundamentalism is the process of Believing that your metaphors are literally true, Codependence is the process of Believing that your Mirrors are You. We often admire what we don’t have permission to Be in ourself. So while Grieving the Loss of our Identity is an Ego Death with all of the Soul-searing pain that involves, it’s actually a Soul Retrieval, as we are forced to give up Codependence and substitute a previously orphaned portion of our True Self. Let’s hope this doesn’t involve the demise of a beloved World Hero or Heroine, if we have any left.
As with other processes of Growth in Consciousness and Spiritual Growth, we’re Asked to Focus on the Unknown Future rather than the Known Past. In that task, Perpetual Curiosity is our greatest friend, as long as we can maintain it and not surrender to our craving and addiction to trying to Understand. The World is a Mystery; when we Believe we Understand, we murder the World. Confusion is the First Sign of Growth, but if we quash it with illusions of Understanding, we stop our Growth cold.
So we’re being Ordered (Quaoar) by Central Command (the Galactic Center) to Grieve the Loss (Hylonome) of Unearned Privilege (Chariklo), or better yet, to accept the Loss as a Return to Self, or the invocation of a Vision Quest to Retrieve a portion of the True Self through Honest Curiosity about an unknowable Future. But wait – we’re also being Asked to either Take Full Responsibility (Pholus) for the parts of ourself which we previously rejected as unfit for polite company, or Take Full Responsibility for the parts of ourself that our friends and associates would love to be able to reject as unfit for polite company (Ixion). Not Blame, which looks backwards to attempt to Understand a Cause (ie, murder), but Responsibility, which looks forward to attempt to improve an Outcome.
To me this suggests a further loosening of the yoke of Hierarchy and Inequality. As Power Over corrupts, Taking Full Responsibility for Power means shifting to Power With. If you haven’t read Starhawk’s Truth or Dare yet, this would be an excellent time to do it, as in it she Teaches us the difference between Power Over and Power With, all in the context of an Inferior Conjunction of Venus (the Descent of Inanna), which we’ve just experienced.
This is all happening in Sagittarius, the Sign of Letting Go. So while Noticing what’s going on is appropriate as part of Growing our Consciousness, Giving Up Control is also appropriate as part of Sagittarius. We can do Both/And, and it behooves us to do so.

Looking at the Stellium reductively, we examine the nature of each of the Energies birthed into it. Seen statically, a Stellium is a cluster of planets. Viewed dynamically, a Stellium is a mass birth of Cycles. The Energy of a Cycle is strong at it’s birth, though we can expect considerable Resistance as those who benefit from the status quo seek to Deny the Changes. So a Stellium is a cauldron of Creation.
The July 5 Ceres-Vesta Initiation occurs at 22 Libra, “A child giving Birds a drink at a fountain.” The 15-year Vesta-Ceres Cycle is about the Sustainability of our Belief systems – that is, do they grow corn. Being the longest Cycle in the Stellium, it plays the senior role. We have Innocence, Spirit, Emotion, and Compassion, perhaps Empathy, in the image. Innocence serving up Emotion to Spirit – interesting permutation. So
For the next fifteen years the most Sustainable view of the Sacred is that we are to surrender our Emotions to Spirit rather than try to analyze them.
On July 12 Ceres Initiates Mars at 25 Libra – “The sight of an autumn leaf brings to a pilgrim the sudden revelation of the Mystery of life and death.” The 3-year Mars-Ceres Cycle governs whether we use our Physical Energy in Sustainable ways. We have endings giving a seeker a relief from Grief.
North Node Initiates Vesta in the same degree on July 13. Another 3-year Cycle. North Node-Vesta would have us revise our Belief systems every three years, so Belief serves Mission as it evolves. For this next three years then
By acknowledging Mystery we avoid wasting our Energy on trying to make sense of Emotions. By honoring Emotions in and of themselves, without trying to trap them in Cause-and-Effect cages, we liberate our Instincts and are thus able to process information and respond to it orders of magnitude more quickly. We also save our intellect for more productive endeavors.
Also on July 13, the North Node Initiates Mars in 24 Libra, “A Butterfly with a third wing on its left side.” Mars-North Node is pursuit of our Mission. The left side emphasizes the Feminine, and Magic. It’s a 2-year Cycle. The Butterfly implies impermanence and frequent transformation.
The next day, the North Node Initiates Ceres in this degree. The 3-year Ceres-North Node Cycle involves our persistence in honoring our Deepest Desires, and also suggests paring away from our lives what doesn’t serve our Mission.
We don’t need to understand our Mission in order to PIAVA that we pursue it vigorously. That will give us an advantage and allow us to respond quickly to its evolution, increasing our progress. It will also make it easier to stick with it, and create less wasted Life.
Back to 25 Libra – the Leaf, the Pilgrim, and the Mystery – for the Vesta-Mars Initiation on July 15. Vesta being the fastest of the big four asteroids, its speed is closer to that of Mars, so the Mars-Vesta Cycle runs four years, making it the second-most senior Energy in the Stellium. Mars-Vesta is about Walking our Talk, putting supporting our Beliefs with Work.
Allowing our Beliefs to govern our Actions will regenerate our Energy.

Then we have to correct our initial reductivism, and reassemble these notions into a coherent Whole…
Our Mission is conveyed to our Ego through our Deepest Desires. When you actually pursue your Deepest Desires, have you noticed how elusive they are? They’re a Siren, beckoning and disappearing into the mist, again and again. Of course, most of us just repress them as unavailable or forbidden. So the first step toward moving into our Mission is to stop repressing our Deepest Desires.
The Stellium advises us to use a feminine approach when pursuing them. We do that by eschewing analysis of our Emotions and trusting them as Instincts. We honor the Mystery by using PIAVA rather than Plan-Execute, again, to avoid wasting intellectual Energy on trying to masculinize the process. One of the first “rules” of Jungian thought is “Don’t seduce your Animus/Anima.” What that means is that you want your Inner Male/Female to be an integral part of your Egoic Self, not an Other from which you (your unmerged Ego) seek gratification.
A good way to do that is, rather than pursuing our Deepest Desires directly, we PIAVA to feel the way we will feel when our Deepest Desires are fulfilled. That way we bypass the Siren and go straight to the Essence of our Mission.
