2019 Q4 and 2020 Q1 Stations

Ontario.

Now that we have a “week off” more or less, let’s look at the remainder of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.  We’ll use several “shorthand” abbreviations or symbols…

• Â.Mickie stands for asteroid Mickie
• Ð.Goofy stands for dwarf planet Goofy
• Š/ stands for Station, when a planet’s Energy is especially Strong
• Î stands for Initiation of a New Cycle between two planets

Below we list only the Stations (plus one major Initiation), or the times when a planet’s Energy is Strongest and most Distinct or Identifiable.  When there are several planets Stationary at the same time, though, it will likely be hard to Distinguish the Separate Influence of each planet, because their Energies will be Merged.  When two planets are Stationary at the same time, it’s as if they’re Conjunct.

In general, we Experience the Energy of a Station before it happens, as the Energy Intensifies until it is “Complete” (the planet starts moving in the other Direction), and then it drops off rapidly.  In cases where we aren’t Neutral to the Energy, we may make Decisions about it, and those Decisions (Orcus) will carry the Energy over into the time following the Station, possibly even eventually Creating new Karma.

For instance, the Energy of asteroid Moira is about Fate and Choice – Fate in situations where our Karma is still Unconscious…

Oh!  I’m really not Experiencing what they seem to be Doing, I’m Experiencing my own lifelong Habitual Reaction to it!  They don’t even know I’m here!

Once we’re Conscious, we can Choose to Respond Constructively, rather than Reacting from our Victimhood.

So if we’re Insulted or Angered by something someone Says or Does, and we don’t Realize that it’s our Button that’s been pushed, we might Decide that this person is not “on our side,” and make them (or worse, people like that) a Lifelong Enemy.  And if we stay in 3D (which is likely if we haven’t Cleared our Karma), we’re likely to continue the same Conflict into Other Lifetimes.  You can tie up all Deviations from Whirled Peas and all of World History in this simple wrapper, and there won’t be much left to Clean Up.

On the other hand, we might Feel Insulted or Angry, but if we Recognize that it’s our Feeling, we may Choose to Agree to Disagree, or even move to a different Meeting, but we won’t make it into a Capital Offense.

There are a number of ways to guess how soon we’ll begin to Experience a Station before it’s Complete, but a useful rule of thumb is…

• A week for the four outer planets, asteroid Bee-Zed, and the dwarf planets except dwarf planet Ceres (that is, everyone with orbits longer than ten years)
• Several days for the three inner planets, the asteroids, and dwarf planet Ceres (orbits between one and ten years)
• Since “Tropical” astrology (the kind we use) sees events from the Perspective of Earth, neither Earth nor Sun nor Moon are ever Stationary

We might also begin to Experience the Energy of the next Station as soon as the current Station is Complete.  Our General Sensitivity is obviously relevant.  And if a Station occurs on one of our natal planets, we’ll React more Strongly and probably sooner.

If we want an Astrological Rule rather than Empirical Guidance, the usual Sensitivity projects that the Impact begins when the Stationing planet is less than one Degree from its Exact Station.  However, some of the newer dwarf planets (such as Sedna) move less than one Degree in a year, which would mean they’re Always Stationary.  And yes, we can certainly interpret that to mean that Fear is Omnipresent, as was common Before the Current Era (ie, BCE or BC)!  If we’re in the Habit of Converting Fear to Power (with Kegels for instance), then this is a Powerful interpretation!

But using lengthy Stations can give us so much overlap that we’re never sure what’s happening.

Asteroids usually take about four days to move one Degree, but when they’re slowing down to Stop and Turn Around, they’ll be much slower.  For instance, rather than 23-26 October for the first Klotho Station, you might look at 11-26 October (the one-Degree range) instead, and Pay a lot more Attention if you have a natal planet near the Ides of Gemini.

Bottom Line, feel free to start my date ranges sooner.  But if you’re still Experiencing Strong Energy after the Station, in order to Avoid accumulating new Karma you want to look over the last several days to see if you’ve made any Decisions based on your Discomfort with the Energy of the Station.  If so, Own your Discomfort and Revert your Decisions.

Initiations are Conjunctions, and Conjunctions act like Stations in that we Experience the Energy increasing in Strength as the Exact Conjunction approaches, then it drops off rapidly, assuming we’ve Captured the available Learning to keep, and not the Energy.  Again, we want to Pay Attention to Discomfort before the Initiation, and Work on Ourself to Own and Revert if necessary after the Initiation.  What we Learn from any astroevent is ours to keep.  They’re all Teachers.

Initiations Differ from Conjunctions, however, in that they also Begin a new Cycle, and the Energy that’s Born at the Initiation – including your Reactions to and Learnings from the Initiation – will Endure on some level for the entire Cycle, whether the Cycle is Initiated by a New Moon (28 days) or by Saturn and Pluto (30-some years).

We’ve added a few words of preliminary interpretation, but of course the actual interpretation will flow from a chart drawn for the Station, which we don’t normally do till we’re getting close to the event.  The preliminary interpretation will probably hang True, but it may not be The Most Important interpretation.

The short interpretations below are Dimensions, not Directions. The Direction is up to us.  For instance, in the first few days of November Our Perspective on our Vitality may Improve or Decline.  If the latter, it’s Identifying Karma for us to Let Go Of.  If we Allow our Victimhood to Reinforce the Decline, we Lose.  If we Notice the Decline and Realize that we have the Power to Heal (Tapping, Poor-Sweethearting, PIAVAing, Plan-Executing, Invoking the Unseen Therapist, et al), we Win.

If Our Perspective on our Vitality Improves, Gratitude is Relevant.  You don’t want to use the Improvement to pad your Ego – it’s not your Ego that Heals, though it can certainly Catalyze Healing, and increasing Self-Love is always Valuable, but not for Cause.  If Self-Love depends on Cause, it will never become Unconditional.  Self-Love is the Natural Condition we Strive to Return to, and we can certainly Congratulate ourself for Work Well Done when we step in that Direction.  But it’s Grace that Heals, and to Welcome and Encourage Grace, lift out the “c” and drop in a “titud,” then give it plenty of Exercise.

We aren’t adding the Moons and Sign Changes to this list, because they have different orientations in Time, and they would just make the list overlong.  The above are what we regard as The Most Important astroevents of the next six months.  We’ll table the Moons and Sign Changes separately, and maybe add the Out-of-Bounds periods, since the Moon starts going Out-of-Bounds in March for the first time in a decade.  Then if we get time, we can combine the lists to make a complete calendar.

AstroTiming 2 – The Moon

Forgot to mention the Moon, which is a major Timing trigger.  For instance, on 8 November, Nessus was within one Arcminute and six days of its 14 November Full-Moon Station, and OR10 was within one Arcminute and eleven days from its 19 November Station – so their Influence would have been pretty strong anyway.  But on 8 November the Moon crossed them, and then on 9 November the Moon crossed Neptune-South Node, when Neptune was two Arcminutes and ten days from its 19 November Station.  

It’s very possible that this was the peak of their Station Energies for many of us.  Then on 14-15 November, at the Full Moon, the Moon Squared Nessus, OR10, Neptune, Orcus and the Nodes.  Meanwhile, the Neptune-South Node Quintile Yod (Pay Attention to Learning This!) was in full force.  This could easily have been the peak, or another peak, of these Energies.

At around 4am PST this morning (19 November), the Moon crossed the Vesta corner of the base of the Neptune-South Node Quintile Yod – another opportunity for a climax.  On 21 November, between around 6am and 5pm PST, the Moon Opposes Nessus-OR10 and then crosses the North Node, Orcus, and Karma, while Opposing Neptune-South Node – an excellent time for an aftershock.

The Moon moves about twelve Degrees a day, give or take a few Degrees (its orbit isn’t round).  The Sun, Mercury, and Venus move about one Degree a day, and they could also serve as triggers for longer-wavelength astroevents.

Dragons, Centaurs, and Kings Oh My

A note on format – the unindented bold italic text is meant for everyone.  The indented normal text is meant for anyone who’s interested in more detail, and specifically for folks who know some astrology and/or who want to learn astrology.  And…

We don’t follow this format exclusively, but it’s sort of a goal.

We’re about three hours from the Moon crossing the near Midpoint between Jupiter and the North Node (2am 18 PDT April), and twelve hours from the Moon crossing the far Midpoint between Chiron and the South Node (11am PDT 18 April).  The Moon has been, and will be, within one Degree of Sensitivity from this complex between about 6pm PDT 17 April till about 5pm PDT 18 April, and within three Degrees of Sensitivity from around noon PDT 17 April till around 9pm PDT 18 April.  It’d be a useful time to measure your own Sensitivity.

So…what’s this all about?

The Nodes are often referred to as “The Dragon,” the North Node as the Dragon’s Head and the South Node as the Dragon’s Tail.  A Centaur is a planetoid chasing an irregular orbit between Jupiter and Neptune – Chiron is a Centaur.  Like the half-human-half-horse Greek Centaurs, the cosmic Centaurs and half comet and half asteroid.  Jupiter was the King of the Roman Gods.

“Sensitivity” is like “slop” – we don’t wait till an astrological event is Exact, we start feeling it when it’s still some distance away – three Degrees if we’re pretty Sensitive, one Degree even if we’re a Muggle.  Of course it could be a matter of education – even a Muggle experiences the astroevents, they just aren’t Conscious of how their emotions, thoughts, circumstances, and actions are related to what’s going on in the sky.

Midpoints are just Sensitive points halfway between two planets or other Heavenly Bodies.

The Moon triggers things that are thinking about happening.  The North Node represents our Deepest Desires and Mission in the Lifetime, while Jupiter symbolizes Expansion.  One way to interpret the South Node is that it stands for our Limiting Beliefs, probably adopted from “Past Lives.”  Maybe from Childhood, but Childhood Traumas are usually hangovers from Past Lives.  Chiron is trickier.  It represents Despair or Discouragement, but it’s “curable” through Empathy.  Empathy Heals, and when we Empathize with ourself, Despair Dissolves.

The Nodes are called the “Dragon” because, like their name-sake, they can breathe fire, and occasionally get hungry and fly around torching villages for the fun of it.  They kind of represent what we’re scared to face – we shy away from our Deepest Desires (North Node) because we feel Guilty about them, and we shy away from our Limiting Beliefs (South Node) because we don’t want to have to re-Experience the heavy Emotions that surround them.

So this is a very potent combination – feeling (Healable) Despair about our Limiting Beliefs while Conscious of the pull of our Deepest Desires and our Mission on the Planet.  If we’re lucky or Skillful, we break through the Despair and leap toward our Deepest Desires and Mission.  Mind is smaller than Mission, so most of us aren’t actually able to comprehend exactly what our Mission here is, why we came here.  Our Deepest Desires are a snapshot of our Mission – by following our Bliss we move toward our Mission.

Most of us probably feel good about the idea of “Mission,” unless we think of it as an unnecessary burden.  And most of us feel some degree of Guilt or other Hesitation about our Deepest Desires, because we think they’re Selfish, or somebody told us they were naughty.  That Guilt or Hesitation is a Mirror of our Limiting Beliefs.  We have to break through that to get closer to our Mission and to our Heart’s Desire.  

So this weekend, with a little self-Empathy (Honesty with ourself about what’s really going on) we get an Opportunity to break through our Limitations and soar toward What We Want out of Life.  Huzzah!!

All this happens between 11 and 26 (three Degrees of Sensitivity) or 13 and 24 (one Degree of Sensitivity) Degrees of Virgo (Moon-North Node-Jupiter) and Pisces (South Node-Chiron), so we’re mostly talking about the second Decanate of Virgo-Pisces, or the Capricorn Decanate (Practicality) of Virgo (Transformation) and the Cancer (Nurturing) Decanate of Pisces (Embracing Unfinished Emotions).  Whatever natal planets you have in these Degrees, or in the same span of Sagittarius or Gemini, will be lit up big-time this weekend.

A Decanate is a ten-Degree section of a Sign.  So for instance, the first Decanate of Virgo (Transformation) is the Virgo Decanate (Ego Death) of Virgo, the second is the Capricorn Decanate, and the third is the Taurus (Solidifying) Decanate.  So the Virgo Transformation process involves

• Melting down the Ego we established in Leo (Ego Death, Virgo-Virgo),
• Coming to understand what we have to Let Go of if we are to find a new Balance (getting Practical about it, Virgo-Capricorn), and
• Settling into a new place of relative Stability (Virgo-Taurus) in order to prepare ourself to meet Other – Other People, and Not-Me in general – in Libra.  

We enter Virgo knowing Who We Are, and we leave Virgo knowing Who We Aren’t.

The Decanates follow the Qualities of each Sign – for instance, Virgo is an Earth Sign, so its three Decanades follow the three Earth Signs.  Pisces is a Water Sign, so its three Decanates chase Water around the Zodiac.

Another Busy Weekend

We have dedicated our Lives to suppressing certain Emotions and Memories and even Thoughts, and for good reason.  They would Overwhelm us, and we have More Important things to do.  Till now.

Thing is, those Emotions and Memories and Thoughts are the doorways to Healing our Limiting Beliefs, making it Safe to Remove our remaining Masks, eliminating Self-Sabotage, uncorking our Forbidden Genius, and to painlessly achieving the Yintegrity and Self-Sovereignty that we so crave, but which we hold back from because we fear it would so Disrupt our Lives and the Lives of those we Love and Depend upon.  That sentence was not approved by the FDA, but I believe it’s True.  And it may even positively impact our Physical Health.

The Universe will bring these Emotions and Memories and Thoughts to us in early June, and the Universe has been, and continues to, give us Opportunities to get a head start.  And every early Opportunity we take advantage of will make June less painful.  If we’re still in Resistance to these Emotions and Memories and Thoughts in June, the process could well be painful.  The Universe is our friend, if we Learn to listen to Her.

As you probably know by now, Eris (Truthtelling) Initiates Uranus (Our Connection to Our Individual Soul) in early June.   We expect this to do a pretty good job of finishing up the Yintegrity work we’ve been doing since 2012.  Well, let’s put it this way – late May and early June will be the Can-Opener phase of this Initiation.  The Initiation occurs at 24 Aries, “Blown inward by the wind, the curtains of an open window take the shape of a cornucopia: Openness to the influx of spiritual energies.“

When an Angle between two planets repeats, as is usually the case with outer planets, the first event always catches us off guard.  The last time this event occurred was in 1926, so very few of us have Experienced it in our current Lifetime.  If you know someone in their 90s who’s freaking out, this is probably why.  The less Experience we have with an Energy, the more likely it is to catch us off guard.  Forewarned is forearmed, however, so even if we’re off guard, knowing in general what the Energy is about can help us make sense out of what’s happening, and can help us step out of the Victim Modality we’d otherwise be in.

Let’s take what we hope will be an extreme example – suppose we were sexually abused as a child.  We don’t remember it, we only notice that in some situations we feel Unsafe or Angry or Scared, or maybe we’re uncomfortable with Intimacy.  If those Memories pop up in late May or early June, we’re going to Regress to the age when the abuse occurred, and to the Skillset and Boundaries that we had – or more accurately didn’t have – at that age.  Victim Modality is a foregone conclusion, most especially if those Memories arise as a result of some similar-feeling Unsafety in the then-Present Moment.

If we are somehow reminded that there is likely to be a “100-year” Regression (a Regression on such a scale that it occurs only once in a century) going on, we’re still going to be caught off guard, but we’re likely to be able to Recover our Present-Moment Skillsets much sooner than if we didn’t get the memo, or as the case may be, the blog post.

We’ve talked before about “Sensitivity” – how Sensitive we are to an astrological event, something astrologers can “Orb,” and I sometimes call “Slop.”  When an event is pending, most folks can certainly begin feeling it when it comes within one Degree of being exact.  Of course the Muggles will be in Denial, finding all manner of excuses, thinking it’s Heartburn.  The more Sensitive among us will begin feeling an event when it comes within three Degrees.  The most Sensitive of us will feel it sooner than that.

The Eris-Uranus Initiation reaches one Degree of Sensitivity in Mid-May.  It reached three Degrees of Sensitivity in late March.  Most folks who read this are likely to be at least three-Degrees Sensitive, so most of us are already Feeling it.  We Feel it through pressure to stop hiding or covering up parts of ourself that we’ve thought were less attractive or less Skillful.  Through Vulnerability.  Through Epiphanies about where we’ve been seeing through a glass darkly.  Through old Identities and Ego-Masks and Archetypes that we’re outgrowing.  Through a Desire to stop “Playing Games.”

An Initiation is a Conjunction.  When Angles repeat three times, as the Uranus-Eris Conjunction does, the first occurrence is a Can-Opener.  It opens a “Can of Worms” that we didn’t know was waiting for us.  The second and third occurrences are also Conjunctions, but they aren’t Initiations – only the first event is an Initiation.  We’re almost always in Victim Mode during a Can-Opener.

The second occurrence is an Exposition – the same Energy recurs front and center, but this time it seems to occur in slow motion (Retrograde), so we have a far better chance of understanding what’s happening “to us,” and consequently a far better chance of moving from Victim Mode to Master Mode.  In Victim Mode things happen to us, we have no Control over them.  In Master Mode, even if things happen to us, we have Skills to deal with them adequately.  

If we Master an Energy during the Exposition, then the third occurrence is a Confidence-Builder.  The Energy and Process recurs, but this time we’re ready and able to deal with it using our now-Present-Moment Skillsets, including those we learned in the previous two events, and we sail through it, feeling great about our new Expertise.  If we didn’t Master the Energy during the Exposition, then the third occurrence becomes another Opportunity, another Exposition.

The Uranus-Pluto Square recurred six times after the Can-Opener, giving us an indication of how Important the Universe thought it was for us to Recover our Yintegrity.  As if Pluto didn’t already symbolize what is Mandatory (Adaptable but not Avoidable).  The Can-Opener (June 2012) was followed by five Expositions (October 2012, May and November 2013, May and December 2014) before the Confidence-Builder (March 2015).  

The Uranus-Eris Exposition peaks in late September, while the Confidence-Builder occurs at the Ides of March next year.

In other words, as Uranus approaches Eris, that section of the Zodiac (now 21-23 Aries) gets very Hot.  The Sun (our Essence) crossed that section last weekend (April 9-11), while Varuna (Cellular Wisdom) and Chariklo (Beauty and Charm) were Stationary.  Venus (our Values) crosses that section two weekends hence, April 22-24.  In between, this coming weekend (April 16-17), Mars (Action) and Pluto (Inevitability) are Stationary (Strong).

There’s a joke about two Olde-Boy psychologists trading stories about “Freudian slips.”  One says his attention was drawn to the bosom of a ticket-seller on a recent trip to Pittsburgh, and he accidentally asked for a picket to his destination instead of a ticket.  The other says, “That’s nothing.  The other day I was having dinner with my mother and when I meant to ask her to pass the butter, what came out instead was ‘Mother, you’ve ruined my Life and I hate you!’ ”  

It would be really appropriate to Mars-Pluto – and fortuitous – if such Freudian slips came out this weekend, because they would constitute bright flashing lights pointing us toward clues about what hasn’t come to the surface of Consciousness yet.  Let your tongue be your Guide this weekend.  Same with “slip-ups” of any sort.  Make a wrong turn on the way to the store?  Where did you end up?  Drop a jar of Honey on a hard floor?  What do you suppose that might mean?  PIAVA the question.  Run into someone you haven’t seen in a long time?  A stranger strikes up an interesting conversation?  Pay Attention this weekend.

In particular, in addition to the Retrograde Stations of Pluto (5am PDT 17 April at 18 Capricorn) and Mars (1am PDT 18 April at 9 Sagittarius), Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs) Initiates Mercury (Communication) at 3pm PDT 16 April, in 17 Taurus, “A symbolic battle between ‘swords’ and ‘torches’.”  Fascinating Symbol, as Swords symbolize mentality, as does Mercury.  That leaves Vesta standing in for Torches, indicating that…

Our Unconscious Limiting Beliefs are Burning their way out of Denial now, and will be for the next fifteen months, while this Mercury-Vesta Cycle moves through.  Just long enough to cover the Eris-Uranus Confidence-Builder.

We’ll talk more about the Vesta-Mercury Initiation – with its two Tricolors and Grand Trine – in the next installment, but note that while it’s occurring, the Sun is crossing the asteroid Mnemosyne – Memory.  What a jokester, this Universe!

Portal 24-29.3 – Saturn et al Stationary II

Irrespective of the accoutrements that decorate the Saturn Station (discussed in the previous post), it makes a very tight T-Square with Jupiter and Venus.  A T-Square means Mastery through Challenge.  Jupiter and Venus mean Expanding our Values.  So in addition to Taking Full Responsibility for the Survival Value of our Abandoned Genius we want to also Pay Attention to Challenges that Ask us to Expand our Values.  We could even consider it to be The Most Important Thing.

Pluto forms a Trine Bridge across the T-Square.  A Trine Bridge is a Shortcut, showing the Easy way to address the Challenges and arrive at Mastery.  Pluto represents a Mandatory Transformation, usually of Who We Believe Ourselves to Be.  This means that when we move to Expand our Values, there is likely to be an obvious Path of Least Resistance.  It also means that Resistance is futile.

That all happens within one Degree of Sensitivity, so there’s no question that the above will impact all of us, even the Muggles.  What if we Expand our Sensitivity to three Degrees?  Three Degrees is a typical level of Sensitivity for assessing astroevents to see if they’re likely to have a measureable impact on current events.  

At three Degrees, our T-Square evolves into a Grand Cross, as the dwarf planet Chaos Opposes the Stationary Saturn.  Chaos represents Unlimited Potential.  We also gain two more Trine Bridges, to Juno and Uranus, and a Quincunx Bridge to Stationary Klotho.

It’ll behoove us to Allow our Values to Expand without Limit (Chaos), as much as we’re able.  If we do encounter Resistance to Expanding our Values, being Loving and Gentle with it will benefit us.   We have two other Easy Shortcuts (Trine Bridges), which entail Allowing the Edges of our Consciousness to Grow (Juno), and Allowing our True Self to step out from behind any remaining Masks that constrain it (Uranus).  

We’re building the Foundation for a new Ego Identity (Klotho) here, and the appropriate approach to that Identity is Permanent Curiosity (Quincunx Bridge).  Not Curiosity as in seeking Answers, but Curiosity as in Avoiding Answers persistently, Curiosity as in Awe and Wonder.  This is New Territory, and any notions we have about what our New Identity may look like will constrain us to just more of the Old – which will be the wrong Frequency to fit into what the Planet is Becoming.

Pay Loving Attention to any strange Physical symptoms.  Avoid diagnosis if you can, as diagnosis will hypnotize you into a narrow niche in the Allopathic Medical model, a niche where something is Wrong.  What’s going on here is that something is Right, it’s just Right relative to who you’re Becoming (Klotho), not Right relative to who you’ve Been.  Your Foundational New Identity extends to your DNA and your cells, and your Physicality will seem strange until the rest of you catches up to the Changes.

The Stationary-Klotho Quincunx Bridge is also part of a Klotho Finger of God on the Venus-Pluto Sextile, which puts an additional Strong emphasis on the Transformation of the Foundations of our Identity and Biology.

This whole process will probably be much Easier than it could be, as if we stretch a bit beyond three Degrees, we can summarize the whole Configuration as a Chaos Diamond Star coinciding with a Chaos Kite – very auspicious.

“On a visit to Sydney more than two decades after I had left my native Australia, I wandered rapt among the painted worlds of the Aboriginal artists gathered at an extraordinary exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art.  The Rainbow Serpent coiled and stretched, shape-shifting into the prizefighter’s bulk of a bull kangaroo, sprouting horns of a water buffalo.  

“Yes, I remember you.  My mind went whirling back to a boyhood dream – a dream more real and more terrifying than anything in my waking life – in which something immense, with the horns of a bull, had ripped me apart, scattering the pieces of my dismembered body to the four quarters.  I was told:

Real Time is not Linear.  It’s Energy that’s Real, not Matter.  The Iriquois say that the Edge between Life and Death is exactly the thickness of a Maple Leaf.  So are the Edges between Matter, Emotion, Mind, Spirit, and Consciousness.  Stretch Time.

The Elves of Lily Hill Farm don’t mince words (Penny Kelly, p.191)…

“Humans are at the top of nature’s heap.  Ye humans need everything that’s in the heap under ye to support yer form of life.  But nothing in the heap needs that human at the top.  Ye humans are the most expendable of all – yet ye all think yer indispensable!  

“Picture the security of the human race right now as one lonely person riding a unicycle across a tightrope that is tied between two poles anchored in soup bowls floating on an ocean,  Yer position is tenuous – at best.”

But there be Hope (Genia Haddon, Body Metaphors, pp.108-9)…

“Neither participational consciousness [the original Matriarchy] nor differentiating objectivity [the Patriarchy] characterizes this third model.  It [the Age of the Yang Feminine – the Age of Lilith] encourages a ‘both-and’ way of looking at things.  Although uncommon in the Patriarchal Age, this sort of consciousness is sometimes experiened in mystical states or with the aid of psychedelic drugs.  

“A pair of opposites that are mutually exclusive as seen by patriarchal, differentiating consciousness are no longer contradictory when comprehended by mentation that simultaneously holds awareness of various levels or orders of wholes.  In other words, this is a style of consciousness that is attentive to varying contexts and can shift from one to another, or even hold several in awareness simultaneously [Castaneda’s ‘Cognitive Dissonance’].

“In such a system, we should expect to experience life as multivalent rather than focused, contextually transformative rather than goal oriented.  Within the gestative system [Matriarchy], movement was contained and cyclic.  The metaphor for progress was natural, vegetative proliferation and succession of seasons.  Phases succeeded one another in a repeating pattern, like a circle, or like the snake biting its tail.  

“In the phallic system, movement is goal oriented and linear, like a arrow.  Progress is pictured as ascent achieved through competition and mastery.  In the exertive [Yang Feminine] system, movement is to be rooted in context and emerging out of it, like a spiral or helix … [in which] interleaved ascending and descending coils suggest the contexting of ‘opposites’ within a larger whole that retains their distinctions, yet transcends their opposition [the ‘Coin’].”

“In an Age reflecting the nature of the exertive womb [Yang Feminine] rather than the phallus, property ownership and exploitation would simply cease to be meaningful concepts, based as they are on patriarchal principles of separating out and power over.  It is beyond my capacity to picture concretely such a world based on exertive-world principles of egalitarian networks, contextual transformation, and holistic transcendence.  

“To appreciate how alien exertive-womb principles still are, try to imagine what sort of pattern would replace ‘ownership’ of animal pets by ‘masters’ in an age in which the dominant motif is no longer hierarchical. … These are the watchwords: context, egalitarian, transformation, multiple wholes, self-transcendence, non-uniform multiplicity, both-and simultaneity without loss of distinctions, network.”

Here’s an example of Both/And/And-that-too, from Robert Moss’s Dreaming True pp290-1…

“The philosopher of Science Thomas Kuhn observed that we get a paradigm shift when the accumulation of ‘anomalies’ forces the abandonment of old scientific paradigms and the adoption of new ones.  Dream journalists can contribute mightily to the emergence and understanding of new paradigms in science” by, for instance…

• “Case studies of interactive dreaming that will provide mutually confirming evidence that consciousness is never confined to the brain.
• “Documented and witnessed reports of dream precognition, telepathy, and other psi phenomena that will establish that these are entirely natural events and that our everyday experience is not the only engagement with time and space that is possible.
• “Serial dreams in which we return to locales where we seem to be leading a continuous life as our present selves, but with some different elements in the scene.  For example: we may be married to a different person, living in a different town, following a different line of work.  Serial dreams of this type may provide strong experiential evidence for the ‘parallel universes’ hypothesis.
• “Serial dreams in which we enter the situation or perspective of people living in other times or dimensions who are clearly not our familiar selves.  These experiences may be suggestive of our connectedness, in our multidimensional identity, with a vast family of consciousness in many time periods and frequency domains.”

The Eclipse Grand Cross is tight, spanning only three Degrees, 17-19 of the Mutable Signs (Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini).

In general, Angles between planets that are less than three Degrees apart can be considered to have a strong impact on the Present Moment.  Angles between planets that are less than eight Degrees apart will have less effect on the Present Moment, but will have profound impact on any project or Entity or Identity that is born at the time.  

“Orb” is the astrological term for the inexactitude of interplanetary Angles, but we prefer “Sensitivity” because how responsive we are to the Angles depends on how Sensitive we are to Energy.  The average Muggle might be hard-pressed to detect one Degree of Orb, while a Sensitive person could feel the impact of eight or ten Degrees even in the Present Moment.  We’ll all be much more Sensitive to any current-moment Angle that mirrors an Angle in our Natal chart.

Because we use many more planets, asteroids, dwarfs, and Centaurs than traditional astrology, for birth charts we try to keep our Attention directed toward Angles that are less than five Degrees apart.  Because we expect most of our readers to be Sensitive to Energy, we often use five degrees for Present-Moment charts as well.

Exceptions arise when Angles adjoin one another.  For instance, the Total Solar Eclipse occurs at 19 Degrees of Pisces, two Degrees from Chiron at 21 Degrees, and three Degrees from the South Node at 22 Degrees.  But Ceres sits at 16 Degrees, three Degrees on the other side of the Eclipse.  So we have a choice: we can interpret Eclipse-Chiron-South Node and Eclipse-Ceres as two distinct relevant Energies, or we can read Ceres-Eclipse-Chiron-South Node as one Stellium and one Energy.  To be thorough, we should do both, that is, read all three.

So now we’ve stretched from 17-19 Degrees to 16-22 Degrees, sevan Degrees of Separation.  Still well within traditional astrology’s span for a birth chart.  Lilith is also at 22 Degrees, so this allows our Grand Trine and Kite, since Pallas, like Saturn, is at 17 Degrees.  Haumea is very Conjunct Lilith, but at 24 Degrees.  We can’t ignore Haumea’s promise to Rebirth Lilith, but this brings us to 17-24 Degrees, and 16-24 if we  include Ceres, which is hard to exclude when the Ceres-Saturn Square is only half a Degree from being Exact.  While this seems like way too much slop for Present-Moment consideration, we can’t ignore the interconnections.

So far we have involved planets in Pisces (Ceres-Eclipse-Chiron-South Node), Aquarius (Pallas), Sagittarius (Saturn), Libra (Lilith-Haumea), Virgo (Jupiter-North Node), and Gemini (Chaos).  Uranus-Eris at 19-23 of Aries makes our Kite into five-sixth of a Grand Sextile, and the asteroid Klotho at 17 Leo completes it.

Klotho is one of the “Fates” – Klotho cuts the fabric from which Lifetimes are woven, Lachesis measures out the length of a Lifetime, and Atropos cuts the chord when that length is reached.  Their mother Moirai completes the foursome.  

It’s important to remember that Fate and Free Will, as a Duality, cannot be properties of the Universe at Large, as the Universe at Large is Multifarious.  Duality does happen to be a signal property of the Observing Human mind, however, so we interpret Fate as a philosophical issue, not an Existential issue.  It is striking, though, how often astrology seems to Teach us about what’s going on, as if our Co-Creations have long been mapped out by the Stars, as if the best outcome we could hope for from a Lifetime would be an Oscar.

We’re fond of saying that if we use Senses and Skills beyond the intellect, or if we desire to peer into the Unconscious, there is no Contradiction, only Paradox.  In most cases that’s giving the mind more credit than it deserves, but it’s certainly a valid Perspective.  So we could profitably view the Question of Fate and Free Will as a Paradox.  In fact, we can even look at it through Genia’s Yang-Feminine Perspective as a case of “both-and simultaneity without loss of distinctions”!  

How handy.  We’re being Rebirthed into the Yang-Feminine Age as we speak!  

We don’t usually think of Klotho as a heavy hitter, but completing a Grand Sextile gets our Attention, particularly with Haumea Rebirthing Lilith.  The combination means that…

This is a particularly germinal time for building foundations for our Role in the New “Fresh Violets in an Ancient Pottery Bowl” Culture that we’re Co-Creating.

Big revisions to our Cultural Zeitgeist were promised by the 2009 Neptune-Chiron Initiation, “Fresh Violets in an Ancient Pottery Bowl,” which we consider to be the astrological correlate of the Derivative Crisis that the Lizards quite successfully spun as a Mortgage-Deadbeat Crisis.  Genia’s comments are validation for what we’ve been talking about in this regard.

In a significant way, we’re “cutting the cloth” this month for our New economic and ecologic Persona.  We’ve suggested that major Commitments are better delayed till after June’s Eris-Uranus Initiation, since we can expect to meet whole new elements of ourselves then, but if we Trust our Knowing, there is a lot of preparatory work we can be doing that doesn’t involve firm Commitment.  And while New Moons are generally considered to impact the following two to four weeks, Eclipses are usually given a longer span of influence, often nine months.  So if we pinned on the Pattern this month, and wielded our pinking shears in July, we’d be in good stead.

Kelley Hunter usually reads the more traditional astrological symbols, while I stray into all manner of questionable nooks and crannies, so it’s particularly validating when the two of us walk down the same lane.  Her readings have been more mundane than mine of late, so we haven’t been linking to her newsletter.  On the other hand, she literally “wrote the books” on Lilith, and few folks are more in touch with the evolving Age of Lilith than she.  Her reading for this Eclipse mirrors ours, but of course as always adding much of note…

So we regard this Eclipse chart as a legitimate Grand Sextile, in addition to the Kite, Grand Trine, and Grand Cross – very Powerful.  The nature of a Sextile is Grace, as long as we provide the initial impetus to kickstart the process.  A Grand Sextile is about processes that feed on themselves and become virtuous cycles, like Genia’s interleaving helixes.  We may even be able to kickstart one of the Sextiles and watch it activate the other five!  Let’s talk about that in another installment.

I don’t want to leave this train of thought without bringing Pluto into the picture.  Pluto, at 18 Capricorn, Sextiles the Eclipse, and this Sextile forms the base of a Finger of God pointing directly at Klotho.  So it’s a good thing we included Klotho.  It doesn’t pay to ignore Pluto, or Eclipses.

Pluto represents that which Cannot Be Ignored.  I think of Pluto as a Powerful River, not in Space but in Time.  Paddling our canoe upstream is not an option; we’ll simply get pulled backwards into the rapids, if not the falls.  We need to ride this River downstream.  We can, however, steer toward one bank or the other, camp on an island, and since we can see where we’re going, pull out to portage around the falls.

The Klotho Finger of God tells us to Pay Attention Now to the way we’re designing the New Life that we’re Rebirthing for the Age of Lilith, to make sure that our New Life flows with the current and not against it.  The Eclipse-Ceres Conjunction reinforces this Directive, Asking us to Attend to Sustainability here.  

And to the other side of the Sustainability Coin, Sustenance – which means Letting Go of what’s no longer necessary – especially our Limiting Beliefs, which will be illuminated brightly for us with the Eclipse (which provides Illumination by showing us what it’s like without what we take for granted) on the South Node (which harbors our Held Emotions).  Penny Kelly spends about 90% of her book describing how difficult it was to Let Go of all the Resistance she had to Receiving Insight from The Elves of Lily Hill Farm.

The keystone in this Drama is the Initiation of Moirai, mother of the Fates, by Pluto on 10 March, at 18 Capricorn, “The Union Jack flag flies from a British warship.”  Rudhyar’s interpretation, “Protection provided by institutions in charge of maintaining order,” reeks of the Patriarchy, as Rudhyar’s roots were deep in European traditions.  

Our interpretation springs instead from the 1/1/2000 Initiation of Chiron by Pluto, “A flag turning into an Eagle, turning into a Chanticleer heralding the Dawn.”  The flag represents the old Loyalist status quo Ego, the Eagle the wide, inclusive Perspective of the Yang Feminine, and the Dawn of course the EnLightenment that follows.

So now we’re tossed back into the “Paradox” of Fate and Free Will with a renewed sense of Importance.  It would probably be quite accurate to say that astrology shows us our Fate if we proceed Unconsciously.  If we interpret the Squares to the Eclipse negatively, we’d Expect that because the Eclipse will cause us to freeze like a Deer in the headlights because there are too many Choices (Chaos), we’ll find our Future to be severely Limiting (Saturn).  

And I imagine that this will be an apt description of the Future confronting many of the Muggles that still suffer under the Illusion that their employer and their government have their interest at Heart, as the propaganda machine continues to work overtime to keep them convinced.  Ask your doctor if Climate Change Denial is good for you, it should say.  Ask your doctor if Globalization is good for you.  Ask your doctor if Glyphosate-saturated, mineral-deficient food-like substances are good for you.  If Death occurs, tell your doctor immediately and discontinue use.

I’m sure it’s an apt description for the poor blokes who’ve just been trying to survive the Drought and Turmoil in the Middle East, and for the Greeks being trampled by the results, after being wrung out by the Vulture Capitalists and Multinational Patriarchs running the EU.  We may not be able to divert the Pluto River, but we do have the option to Respond Consciously to the currents, to recognize that The Most Important Thing (Saturn) confronting us is Making Choices to steer our Unlimited Future (Chaos) in directions that promote our Deepest Desires and further our Mission in the Lifetime (Jupiter-North Node).

That is, when confronted by our Hesitation to Expand Freely (Sun Square Jupiter), we unlock the Dumb-Luck Grace (Sun-Eris Trine) by PIAVAing (Jupiter Quincunx Eris), “God/Goddess, what Insight do I need to take advantage of this opportunity, Safely?“

Remember it’s a PIAVA, so you want a “Permanent” Curiosity.  You aren’t looking for Answers, you’re looking for a state of Wonder and Awe.  You will get Insights, great, go ahead and use them to restructure your Attitudes.  But don’t consider them to be the Answer to your Query; consider them to be step one of many in your process, and follow them with another “I Wonder what else I might need to Understand to take maximum advantage of this fabulous opportunity to Grow, Lovingly and Gently?” and another and another.

Of course regular readers will recognize that Chiron is written all over the “manyvoices” post above, as it’s a fabulous description of how Chiron converts Despair to Miracles through Empathy.  Miracles occur because the Impossible becomes Possible when our Attitudes change.

The most crippling kind of Despair is what we call “Unconscious Despair” – when we don’t even consider something to be Possible.  For instance, do you ever Daydream about

Having more money than I could ever use for any purpose that I could possibly consider worth doing, including the purpose of improving the lives of every person, critter, and biome on the Planet, in effective ways and in proportion to their need?  

If you react negatively to the word “money” in there, take it out and put in the word “Magic” instead.  

Well, why not pursue your Dream?  And if you don’t have such Daydreams, why not?  Seems almost laughable, doesn’t it, it’s so far from Plausible.  And you don’t Believe in Magic?  Why not?  That’s Unconscious Despair, where we allow the “Plausible” to define our Upper Limits rather than the “Possible.”  And do you ever Imagine that anything is Possible?  Why not?  More Unconscious Despair.

The Jupiter T-Square and Eris Bridge are only one Degree apart, more than close enough to fit within our usual three-Degree limit of Sensitivity for astroevents that we expect to have a measurable impact on us day to day.  But what if we Expanded our way of looking at this to include Projects that we start now?  

It’s traditional to use between one and three degrees of Sensitivity for “Transits” – current astroevents.  Appropriate levels of Sensitivity really depend on the person and the planets involved.  For the average triple Pisces having a Transit to their Neptune, ten Degrees may be more appropriate.  But for a birth chart, an “orb” (as astrologers refer to it) of six to ten degrees is traditional.

Chiron is three to five Degrees from Jupiter, Eris, Chaos, and the Sun – well within our limit of Sensitivity for any Project we wish to begin now.  Mars (Action) and Sedna (Embracing Fear) also join in Gracefully – Mars completes a Golden Rectangle with Eris, Chaos, and the Sun, and Sedna Bridges the Jupiter-Chiron Opposition.

So why not begin the Project of Lovingly and Gently Embracing ALL of our Emotions and Behaviors?  It’s an ideal time for it, as the Universe is lining up behind us.  We might start with the PIAVA, “Ganeshi, please remove all obstacles that separate me from completely and unconditionally Accepting and Loving myself.”

The Pholus-Quaoar-Galactic Center-Ixion-Hylonome-Chariklo Stellium (which by the way starts only four Degrees from the Sun) will even Support such a Project, as we can interpret that as An order (Quaoar) from the Galactic Command to Take Full Responsibility (Pholus) for Allowing whatever Ego Deaths (Hylonome) are necessary for us to Embrace our Pathological Genius (Ixion) and Walk in Beauty (Chariklo).

A bit early for the Saturn-Neptune Square, since it’s not exact till 26 November and there’s a lot going on between now and then; it’s likely to be at least 20 November before we feel it unadulterated, and that’s only if we’ve Embraced and Let Go of all of the other intervening Energies.  But Saturn is within two Degrees of Squaring Neptune, and we usually arbitrarily draw the Sensitivity line for interplanetary Angles at three Degrees, so we have to consider the Waning Saturn-Neptune Square to be Present in the background.  The Saturn-Neptune Cycle is about Redefining the Culture.  Neptune today (1 November) is only five Arcminutes from its 18 November Station, and we usually arbitrarily draw the Sensitivity line for Stations at one Degree, so we’re well within the realm of the Neptune-Station Energy as well.  Neptune Stations are about Shifting our Perceptions of the World around us, particularly our Relations with our Culture.

Astrologers call it “orb,” we call it “Sensitivity,” and another apt name for it would be “slop.”  Most of us don’t feel astrological Angles as discrete points, we feel them as Energies gradually increasing up to the point where the Angle is exact, then falling off rapidly after that.  If we’re Conscious of the Energy.  If we aren’t Conscious of it and we Blame it on some element of our Material Lives, and make Decisions based on that Blame, we can carry the Energy into the Future, sometimes a long way into the Future.

Once a long while ago someone said to me…

“My Faith tells me that ‘this too shall pass.’  But you’re an astrologer – you know when it will pass.” 

Sometimes a Full Moon will be such a Passage, but often as not a Full Moon will invoke an Energy more than dismiss it.  In the case of an Initiation, though (and to some extent any Angle), it usually really is such a Passage, as the Energy builds till the moment of the Initiation, then drops off sharply.  There are more Details and Exceptions, but we’ll talk about those in a little while.  The Sedna-Mars Warrior with human scalps hanging from his belt Initiation (see below, however) occurs at 4am PDT May 4 (http://www.jbuss.com/tt/pdt4.htm), so we can expect our adventures with Fear to escalate till then.

Here’s a relevant story…

“Thirty minutes later I notice I’m feeling slightly edgy and I wonder if I’ve picked up some sort of negative energy or spent too much time on the computer.  I do a bit of energetic clearing and deep breathing but it doesn’t help and the edginess continues; it’s like an irritation I can’t stop, like a knocking on the door that is unanswered and the visitor knows I’m home so won’t go away.  I’m almost convinced now I’m under some sort of minor psychic attack so more clearing and ground exercises ensue but again, it doesn’t help and by now I’m feeling intense edginess and even beginning to feel victimised!

“In that moment I suddenly get an insight – it is someone knocking at my door!  I remembered from previous times when I had similar experiences and that once I stopped resisting, relaxed and allowed, I had felt an angelic presence that was trying to get my attention.  So taking a cue from that, I immediately stopped resisting the energy and instantly my experienced changed from edginess to excitement… like a quickening feeling through my body…  Closing my eyes, softening my body, relaxing into myself and allowing my awareness to drop deeply inside of me and set my intention to only be open to Divine Light of the Most High.  Inwardly I said “Greetings, who are you?”

“ ‘I Am the Over-lighting Deva of Orchids’ was the response.

Fear, recall, is the absence of Love.  On another long-while-ago occasion, I was writing about the Goddess late at night in my basement apartment, and felt – again – that I was being watched.  The curtains were closed, but I had the distinct feeling that someone was just outside the window, looking for a weakness.  I could feel the hair on my neck starting to stand up, and feel the tingling on my skin.  This time I took a deep breath, grounded myself, got up quietly, and moved to the door.  With one sudden movement I unlocked the door and flung it open, to surprise the intruder.  And She was right there, staring me in the face – the Full Moon.

As Marianne Williamson – and Dorothy Maclean – remind us, we do Fear Power, our own as well as that of our allies.  We never know what lies beneath our Fear, but the odds that it may be Blessings are high enough that it’s worth exploring.

Mars-Sedna is a two-year Cycle.  Mars doesn’t loop at a constant speed, as it Retrogrades every 25 months or so, about the same length of time it takes to circle the Zodiac.  Sedna, however, is a loooong ways away.  At the moment it’s three times as far away as Pluto, and taking a little less than three years to travel one Degree!  The result is that the Sedna-Mars Initiations are walking us through the Zodiac, just about one Degree at a time.  That process began in 1864 with the first Initiation at 1 Aries, but since Sedna is approaching us, it’s speeding up.  In 1864 it was taking about four years to cover one Degree.  Since 2007 the Initiations have been one Degree apart.

But guess what!  There’s  been a reprieve!  We don’t remind folks enough that we always round Degrees up.  Twenty-four Degrees and 32 Minutes is the 25th Degree, not the 24th Degree!  I just noticed that I forgot to round up!  So we aren’t entering a Warrior-with-scalps Cycle at all – it’s the last two years that have been the Warrior-with-scalps Cycle, or we might say the Terrorist-with-severed-heads Cycle!  Taurus 25 is “A vast public park” instead of a Warrior-with-scalps!  That’s certainly Good News!  Sorry for the Scare, though I guess it was just part of the Mars-Sedna drama – the Devil made me do it (or was it Pholus?).  I do find that errors are usually actually Intuitions.

So what’s scary about a vast public park, anyway?  Well, okay, not so long ago a cop shot and killed a twelve-year-old in a public park because the kid was playing with a gun-like object, and rather than render assistance to the dying twelve-year-old (or even verify that he was “disarmed”), the cop was busy manhandling the lad’s fourteen-year-old sister so she wouldn’t try to help her brother.  We do live in a fascist state; the police don’t make it their business to protect us, their business is to protect corporate interests.  So these days the molesters and muggers may not be our greatest Fear in a vast public park, though they certainly still have rank.

Taurus 25 is however the location of the Star Capulus, the sword of Perseus, symbolizing Ruthlessness.  So it could still be a dangerous Park.

But let’s talk about those Details and Exceptions that we mentioned.

First, the Details.  An Initiation is just that.  So it should be that the Energy of the Initiation – in this case now a Walk in the Park, is just getting started.  And that’s true.  But after an Initiation the Energy goes underground.  The perfect example is Uranus-Pluto.  At the 1965 Initiation, Yintegrity was rampant.  But then it went underground, to arise again in the 2012-2015 Uranus-Pluto Square.  Once we get past May 4, the Walk in the Park Energy will shrink for six months (one fourth of the two-year Cycle) while the Warriors muster their strength for one more beheading.  Humans will do anything to prevent Change.

So as the Walk in the Park Energy gradually builds over the next six months, the Warrior-with-Scalps Energy will become harder and harder to maintain, until finally it falls away.  The Prior Uranus-Pluto Cycle, which Initiated in 1850, was about “A duck pond and its brood” – making it safe for the kids.  In 1965 the underlying Uranus-Pluto Energy changed to “A Ouija Board” – Magic is Afoot.  The Lawn Order folks were able to keep the Magic under control for a while, till it broke free as we approached 2012.  So the Warrior-Terrorists’ days are numbered.  We just have to remember “Hands Up – Don’t Shoot” when we’re Walking in the Park.  Unless it’s a mugger, in which case we need to shoot first, and hope it’s not an undercover cop.

An Initiation is a quite literally a Portal – beyond the Portal, the rules Change.  As Ursula says, “The rules change in the Reaches,” and when we pass an Initiation we enter Reaches that haven’t been Co-Created yet.  Astrology can say when any sometimes sketch out an outline, but Fate is an intellectual observation, not a property of the World.  We are all Co-Creating the Future as we go.  Moving through an Initiation-Portal, the rules Change.  As if it’s a different World.  One minute we’re Frightened by Warriors with Scalps, the next it’s the mugger behind the Tree in the Park that Threatens us.

We bring two personal characters to the Portals with us.  First, our Sensitivity, and second, our Resistance.  We’ll talk about our Resistance in the next section,  If we’re Sensitive, we pick up the new Energy before we actually reach the Portal.  If we have one-Degree Sensitivity, we’ll pick up on the new Mars-Sedna Energy Energy on May 3.  If we have three-degree Sensitivity, we started feeling it April 30th.  Muggles won’t pick up on it even after we’re through the gate; the new Energy won’t hit them till Mars Squares Sedna in six months.  In the interim they’ll still be fighting the last war. 

If you were born with planets in 25 Taurus (or Scorpio or Leo or Aquarius), or if Sedna or Mars was very Strong when you were born, you could have a long antenna and ten-Degree Sensitivity!  So while some of us are more Sensitive to some Energies than we are to other Energies, and some of us are more Sensitive to all Energies than others of us are, we won’t necessarily keep the same Degree of Sensitivity to all Initiations.

If you look at the World as astrology impacting us, you’d refer to it as “Orb.”  Looking at the World as us reacting to astrology, it’s Sensitivity.

To summarize, prior to the Initiation, our Sensitivity rules how much of an impact the event will have on us, and for how long.  After the Initiation, the flavor of the Energy is embedded in the Water under the bridge, even though the Frequency and Color of the Energy is still under Co-Creation, and Resistance to Change is at a maximum.

And second, the Exceptions.  We inadvertently collaborate with the forces of the status quo to Resist Change with the best of them.  I left a section out of Lynn’s story above…

You see, while we might know that the Warrior Cycle too will pass, and when, we don’t know much about the Walk in the Park Cycle, because it hasn’t been Co-Created yet.  As far as we know, we’re just leaving our Comfort Zone and entering the Unknown.  Had it been Buffy the Vampire Slayer rather than Lynn, it might not have been the Orchid Deva at the door.  We forget that Fear plus Breathing equals Excitement, and habitually Fear the Unknown, and set our Boundaries against it.

Not only that, but since it’s Unknown and our analytical mind is obsessed with “Knowing,” we have to make things up.  Even though I wasn’t watching much TV news in those days, of course I expected it to be a prowler outside my window.  If I hadn’t flung open the door, I might have added extra locks or lights around my apartment instead, strengthening the bars on my birdcage and locking myself into my Limiting Beliefs more strongly.  And I wouldn’t have noticed that the Universe was answering my earlier Request to be more in touch with the Goddess!  Look how Bush and the his neocon cronies scammed us into Fear about daily Life after 9/11.  Lynn’s wisdom again…

“It hit me this morning, there’s nothing to be gained from thinking about what just happened.  I didn’t just think it, I felt it in the body.  It doesn’t help with the present, and it cannot help the future either.  I asked myself: What if you didn’t think over what happened and just let it pass?  Would you be disadvantaged in the future?  How does going over what happened actually help?  Can it make the present or future better or safer or make you better somehow?  If you didn’t think it over, what would you lose?”

We make Decisions, and those Decisions cement us into the status quo, long after the Present Moment has gone under the bridge.  We decide it’s not Safe, we harden our Boundaries, and we lock out the Goddess and the Orchid Deva.  In 1964 we Decide that the Powers That Be will never understand Yintegrity, so it has to be Us-Against-Them.  Because of that Decision we waste the next fifty years wallowing in Negative Politics rather than Learning Magic.  In 2013 we Decide that the Warriors must be eliminated, so we Drone them back to the Stone Age – creating whole generations of new Warriors in the process.  If we put half the Attention into not creating new Karma that we put into clearing old Karma, we’d be way ahead.

We do that by refusing to “post-mortemise,” by hardening our Boundary against the mind’s obsessive need for Answers, so we can maintain our state of Curiosity as long as possible.  Not Curiosity about “cause and effect,” Curiosity about what will happen next, about what hasn’t had its wave form collapsed yet, about how we can keep the Cat alive.  In this sense, the Alexanders have it right on – stay focused on What You Want, not on What You Fear or What You Don’t Want.  Denying Emotions doesn’t work – it just drives them into the Unconscious, where they find a friendly Archetype and take over your Life without asking permission.  So you can’t Deny Fear to focus on What you Want.  You have to Lovingly Empathise with Fear.  Then You the Witness, rather than You the Scared, can go back to focusing on What You Want.  That’s the Magic.

One other handy trick, taught to me by Jack Schwarz, rest his soul, that will be useful when we get scared while Walking in the Park.  Kegels.  You hit a 95-mile-an-hour fastball over the fence by being “in the zone” – by slowing down Time so relative to your eye and bat, the ball is actually moving at five miles per hour.  Literally.  Otherwise Babe Ruth would still be shaking the sting out of his hands.  And you slow down time by doing Kegels.  The scareder you are, the more Time slows.  Try it next time you’re watching an Adrenalin-burner movie, then see how long it takes to walk the two miles to the refrigerator.  It’ll make even the smallest park vast.

So really, even though the burner has been turned off, it’ll be mid-May before the Yintegrity pot cools.  It will be lit up on March 21 and 27, April 4-8, 11, 17 and 24, and May 1 and 8, so you’ll have opportunity for remedial work if there are still things you need to get off your chest – especially after that Meditation!

There is still more than enough Yintegrity Energy around for plenty of Life-Changing Breakthroughs.  Aim high.  I know, all your Life you’ve assumed that what you’d really Love isn’t possible.  But just for once, What if it Was?

Some of the Bigger Breakthroughs will be surprising, as they’ll involve Learning how to change the way we set Boundaries in Social situations, so we don’t “give ourselves away” as much, or have to hide our True Self as much.  Who knows, we might be enlisting our Inner 2-Year-Old and start saying “No” to people.

If our concept of what it means to Walk in Beauty is Challenged by our Growth in Consciousness, we may find that there are More Important Things than pleasing everyone – like maybe, pleasing ourSelf.  All Losses must be Grieved, though, and we may have to Grieve the Loss of an Identity that was built on “Nice.”  Yintegrity may involve more Grief than Nice did, so it’ll be good practice for Mastering Grief.

Just to review some terms here, a Major Tricolor is a triangle made up of a Square, Quincunx, and Trine, while a Minor Tricolor is one comprising a Square, Quincunx, and Sextile.  Since we use red for Squares, blue for Trines and Sextiles, and green for Quincunxes, these Configurations end up in three colors.  You unlock the Grace in the Trine or Sextile, to neutralize the Challenge in the Square, by Attending to the relationship between the two Quincunxed planets with Curiosity.  A Sextile requires an initiatory Action to liberate the Grace.

A Trine Fez (so named because it’s shaped like the Turkish hat) is a parallelogram with a Square for a base, an Unx (Semi-Sextile) at the top, and Trines for sides.  The Challenge in the Square is dealt with by applying Curiosity to the relationships between each of the two kitty-corner planet pairs.  Here that’s Venus and Saturn (Walking Beauty and Priorities), and Juno and Chariklo-Hylonome (Edges of Consciousness and Grief over Loss of a Free Pass).
