Soulful Full Moon

I’m still behind on paper, still working on the 19-22 January 2023 Moira-Uranus New Moon report, which is important because it’s Impact lasts till the 20 February New Moon. But in Real Life, when the clouds above my skylight parted last night, it became Glaringly Obvious that the 5-6 February Full Moon is upon us! So what’s it about?

First, it Dances with our Soul in quite a Challenging manner (non-Self-Resolving Uranus T-Square to the Full Moon Opposition). The Full Moon itself is at 17 Leo, Irrepresible Emergence of the Underworld. The Sun is at 17 Aquarius, Maintaining the Details of Tradition. Our Tradition is to treat the Underworld this way…

Uranus, though, sits at 90 Degrees from both of them, but at 16 Taurus, The Compulsive Truth of Love. It’s Squeezed between Star Menkar in 15 Taurus, The Repeatedly Erupting Need to Surrender, and 17 Taurus, Eruption of Unconscious Contents. Sounds like David Icke, post-Ayahuasca. If you’ve ever watched much television or studied much History, you know well how brutal and sadistic Hupers can be.

We may have Memories or Dreams or Visions that emulate television in their Brutality and Sadism. We may even have Chosen to Confront some of that when we were in the Lightworker’s Lounge Simulator. Whether from the Simulator or from any sort of Experience that we Identify as Personal, we may have Karma that approaches this. There is no Ego Identity in the Unconscious, it’s Impersonal. Some people consider it to have Three main Realms, the Universal, symbolized by Pluto, the Cultural (by Neptune), and the Individual (by Uranus).

Wait! If the Unconscious is full of Bogeypersons, how can we consider Uranus, the Individual Unconscious, to represent The Soul? You’re thinking of Freud’s Subconscious. That’s the Dungeon where all of our Demons are Chained Up (or were, till this Full Moon, I guess). Jung’s Unconscious is the Dragon’s Lair, where our Lost Treasures are cached – the ones that will make us Whole and take us to 5D – Protected by the Dragon. The costumes and makeup are better there.

The Subconscious and the Unconscious are actually the same place. The only difference is the Perspective of the Observing Ego. Is Thor’s Hammer the Sledge of Destruction? Or is it the Mjölnir – Lightning – of Epiphany and Enlightenment? There’s a pretty Clear and very Traditional Dichotomy at work here, isn’t there – the Famous Dichotomy between Good and Evil. Well, Dichotomies are what Dimensionality? Two? What do we know about 2D? That’s where the Mind Lives, isn’t it. Nature doesn’t Live there, Reality doesn’t Live there.

You aren’t old enough to remember the old Kodak Brownie camera from the 1950s. My first camera. They may have had color film for it, but who could afford that? When we could spare the cash to get a roll developed, we got 2×2 inch (5×5 cm) black and white snapshots. 2 inches, 2 colors (sorta – shades of grey actually), 2D. That’s where Good and Evil Lived, there in the Brownie, and on the couch – and in the 50s. Actually, developers would only develop Good. Evil snapshots got confiscated. You had to go to Polaroid to capture Evil, and that was still originally only Sepia and White. Color TV was still ten years away. You can make Color with 3 pigments, but mixing them together in different combinations and intensities will provide an almost Infinite number of additional Dimensions.

That helps, but to get to Nature or Reality you need to add many more Dimensions, starting with Linear Time. Video simulates Linear Time, and consumes Linear Time to watch, but it still doesn’t do 3D well, or approach all the variations and nuances of Nature or Reality, or even of Huper Culture and Artifacts. All of these considerations are about Separation, a 2D Concept. Language, the Currency of 2D, can describe, usually crudely, many characteristics of 3D and sometimes beyond, but it has precious few words for Unitary. So we have to admit that 2D is woefully Inadequate to capture the Paradoxical way Nature is Multidimensional and Unitary.

The Unconscious is also Multidimensional and Unitary. The Three Realms are marked off just for the convenience of astrologers and psychologists and their Minds. The Three are Irretrievably Interwoven and Entangled. The distinctions between the Realms are pretty Arbitrary. Think of it as a Gigantic Blob floating in Interdimensional Space, like Dark Matter or Dark Energy, obviously Occupying the same space we Live In. The outside of this Unconscious Blob is studded with Rings. Bilbo was trying to find one of them. When we stick a finger into one of the rings on the outside of the Unconscious, it sticks. That’s Karma.

Since the Unconscious is Invisible or Transparent, we can never know the Source of the Karma. All we can do is Notice and Identify (crudely, since it’s multidimensional, but that’s a start) the Pattern of Behaviour that it produces, and Act or Speak Differently, Hoping the Change will impact the Karma broadly – for instance, will Stopping Generational Abuse End the Karma itself, or just our own Ring of it? We don’t know, we just do the best we can, and Assume that we’ll simultaneously Chip Away at the larger Cultural Realm of the Blob. If it helps, we can Assume that the Karma was part of the Original Intelligence of the Universe, put there as a Heuristic or Teaching Device for us demented Hupers.

The Finger of the Goddess, consisting of two planets two Signs apart, with a third planet at their Far Midpoint, five Signs away, making an Acute Triangle or Wedge. Five Signs is called a Quincunx (Latin for “5/12ths”) and indicating Mystery, or Dimensionality higher than 2 or 3. In Nature there are no Contradictions – which are 2D and therefore in the Mind of the Observer – there are only Paradoxes where there appear to be Contradictions, and this is also true of Mystery, the Quincunx, and the Finger of the Goddess. The Finger combines the 5th Harmonic (Learning) with the 12th Harmonic (Pattern-Breaking). We can’t change a Problem using the same Thinking that postulated the Problem, so we have to Learn a New Way to Break the Problem.

The T-Square consists of two planets in Opposition or 6 Signs apart, with a third planet at their Midpoint, three Signs away, making a Right Triangle. Three Signs is one fourth of the Zodiac, hence it’s the 4th Harmonic, signifying Dominion. Western Culture understands only Domination, not Dominion, as the tale of Damocles illustrates. Damocles covets the Emperor’s Luxury, so he asks if he can sit in for a day and Enjoy the Domination. The Emperor says “Sure,” but hangs a Sword over the Throne by a single Horsehair to symbolize the Complexity of the Duties that he must perform to maintain his Dominion. Damocles is Terrified by the implications of Accountability, and Runs Away. The Moon, by the way, symbolizes Accountability.

So the T-Square signifies Mastery through Challenge or Mastery through Adeptitude, which Damocles could have Worked toward had he not Run Away. Now, if we add a Finger of the Goddess to the T-Square, with each of their “third planets” being the same planet, then the base of the T-Square makes a nest of Trines and Sextiles (both of which signify Grace) with the base of the Finger, and this Basket of Grace under the T-Square makes the T-Square Self-Resolving. If Damocles was in a Self-Resolving Challenge, and had not run, but tried Sitting with his Discomfort (in the sense of Sitting in Meditation), he would have had an Aha! Experience, understood the message, untied the Sword, handed it back to the Emperor, thanked him, and Lived Happily Ever After. In a Self-Resolving Challenge (T-Square plus Finger of the Goddess), the Distressing Patterns we Break by Sitting with the Challenge are Patterns that were ready to Let Go of us, Rings that were ready to Break Open at the slightest Tug, or even On Their Own. Earlier we mentioned a Configuration that Ego astrologers refer to as a Thor’s Hammer, as it’s Implications can be troublesome for the Ego. It’s two planets 90 Degrees apart with a third planet halfway between them at their Far Midpoint, 4½ Signs away. The Ego astrologers refer to the 4½-Sign Angle as a Sesqui-Square because what they see is a Challenge similar to a Square (Sesqui means 1½). In Ascension astrology, we see a Trioctile Angle there, because we regard the Octile, the 8th Harmonic (1/8th of the Zodiac or 45 Degrees), as a very legitimate Angle in its own right, meaning Adjustment or Justice.

We refer to the Configuration as a Mjölnir, or Trioctile Yod. That’s just Norwegian for Thor’s Hammer, but the Hammer has so much Destructive Baggage from Hollywood’s interpretations of it, that we needed a more neutral term that emphasized the Lightning aspect of Thor’s Hammer. Lightning, a legitimate meaning of the Hammer in Norse Lore, is just as Destructive, but it’s more Focused, and Illuminates the Situation. So we regard the Octile as meaning Insight, and the Mjölnir as signifying Epiphany. The Trioctile combines the 3rd Harmonic (Love with Wisdom) and the 8th (Adjustment), so Implies Bringing into Balance.

Now, if a T-Square (Challenge) and a Mjölnir (Rebalancing) point to the same planet, then the Challenge is Self-Resolving with a Caveat. We have to do our Work. The Patterns to be Broken will likely be Difficult, such as Rejecting Feelings that We’d Rather Die than Feel. The Angles made between the base of the Mjölnir and the base of the Square, rather than Trines and Sextiles as was the case with the Finger, are Octiles and Trioctiles – Justice and Rebalancing.

There may be Guilt involved with the planets in the Mjölnir, and we may need to Make Amends to bring the Guilt “to Justice.” Often the Amends will need to be make to Ourself, for Abandoning an Inner Child for most of our Life, for instance. Guilt is seldom “Deserved” – it’s usually someone else Blaming us to Protect their own Ego. If it was something “we” did “wrong,” Regret would be more appropriate than Guilt. We put “we” in quotes because if it’s Karmic, it wasn’t even “us” that were involved, “we” weren’t there! “Wrong” is in quotes because it’s a Judgment, a Duality, an Intellectualization, a Thought. We can be Tortured by Thoughts, but not Blamed for them.

We’ll talk about how the Full Moon Triggers Mjölnirs tomorrow.

For now there’s one more Important Issue we need to mention. Karma is By Definition Not Present Moment. It has roots in other Lifetimes. Even if they’re Parallel Lifetimes, they aren’t in Our (Our Ego’s) Present Moment. It’s Effortless to Bring Karma into the Present Moment – all we need to do is Repeat Self-Destructive Habits Mindlessly. Yes, we haven’t traced most of our Karma back to its first Pattern. The Present-Moment Re-Enactment of Karma often starts with one of those Feelings that We’d Rather Die Than Feel.

Each time we Feel that, our Reaction is to Repress it, often before we even Realize we’ve Felt it, because we’ve been Practicing Repression for so long that it’s Automatic. Often it was part of our Programming. We weren’t Allowed to Feel that because our Programmers couldn’t Stand It themselves. So when we begin to Notice a Karmic Pattern beginning to Repeat, we may be Noticing the second or third Pattern in a series. That doesn’t matter. Whatever stage we Notice, that’ll make it easier to trace back to earlier Patterns.

We may be able to get ahead of this process by PIAVAing to know What Came Before the last time this Karma was Triggered? Then we can Notice that Pattern when it reoccurs, to see if it’s part of the Chain of Events and Feelings that lead to Outcomes we don’t Want. If we can be Vigilant about this process, ultimately we can simply Refuse to Cooperate when the Triggers are pulled. Fear is often one of the Feelings that we’d rather Die than Feel. Not all Fear, but Fear of a certain Tone, Fear that Regresses us to Past Deaths or Past Experiences that “we” Experienced as Worse than Death.

Once we Interrupt the Chain of Events and Feelings that lead to Outcomes we don’t Want, it becomes Obvious that Karma is Just a Thought. Like the old Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones, but Thoughts Will Never Hurt Me till we let them lead us down a Train of Karma. From the Perspective of the Octile and Trioctile, every Event and Feeling is a Teacher, and the more Unpleasant it is, the more Important is the Lesson. Blaming the Teacher when we don’t Grok the Lesson helps no one.

Rhodonite (the red, a Manganese Inosilicate with Calcium, Iron, and Magnesium substituting for some of the Manganese; an Inosilicate is one with the Silicate units joined into long chains) and Galena (the silver-black, Lead Sulfate), which “blends the heart pink with the dark root Chakra colors [and] helps a person self-actualize as it increases awareness of dignity, self-respect, and self-regard [and] grounds all these essential awarenesses to a stable foundation. … It is a unique aid to insight as it strengthens the heart connection to the higher self, bridging the intelligence and learning ability of the heart tissue with the higher self while bypassing the brain” (Marquist & Frasl, pp.127-8).

Fearbruary IV

By now we’re bearing down hard on Fearbruary’s namesake, dwarf planet Sedna, which is about Converting Fear to Power. We’ve been reminding that Fear plus Breathing equals Excitement, Fear plus Tapping equals Grounding and Presence (which is intimidating to would-be antagonists), and Fear plus Kegels equals Power. In addition to a hefty dose of Terror, the Sedna story also contains strong elements of Anger and Competition.

I was into my forties before I realized that Anger was my Habitual Reaction to Fear. Useful when it’s a Fight you can Win, but when Flight or Freeze is Safer, let alone Negotiate, not so much. All Karma is a Powerful Skill, but only when we can Choose to use it when appropriate and not use it when it ain’t. If Karma is a knee-jerk Reaction, it’ll get us in trouble more often than not. We Heal that by getting Conscious about it.

Sedna is at its Strongest (Stationary) as we come up to 1pm PST 8 February, in 28 Taurus. The chart is pretty benign…

The basic Configuration is a “Square Fez with a Chinstrap” – a red-sided trapezoid with a fifth planet at the midpoint of the base. The Chinstrap – dwarf planet Ceres (Sustainability and Sustenance), is where the Power emerges. The two naked Squares (red lines) are where potential Challenges will be spawned – Sedna (Fear) to asteroid Karma (Karma) or Fear about Letting Go of What We Know Best (our Karma), and Pluto (TranceFormation) to dwarf planet Haumea (Rebirth) or Failing to Discern the Difference between Physical Death from Ego Death.

If we could train ourself to instantly Discern an Ego Death from a Threat of Physical Death, and Realize that Resistance is Futile when it comes to Letting Go of the Known (it’s inevitable, and it’ll probably be harder later), our Lives would be so much more Sustainable (the chinstrap), wouldn’t they. So we could Pray for Physical Safety, Pretend we’re Acting in a Play, Enjoy the Drama from the Perspective of the audience, and make the most out of these Opportunities to Practice these two Cosmic Skills (Ego Death and Letting Go of Karma). Letting Go of Karma usually requires an Ego Death anyway, so this is really an Amazing Opportunity.

Note: If you use a Theta Prayer, you can check to see if your prayer will work, modify it and check again, iterating as many times as necessary, till you find just the right Prayer to give you in-the-Gut Confidence in your Safety.

But a Square Fez offers an Alternative to its Challenges, namely its Diagonals (the green lines, which are “Quincunxes,” or 5 Signs long). Notice that each Square is simultaneously in two Tricolors (a triangle made up of a red Square, a green Quincunx, and either a Trine or a Sextile – a long or short blue line). A Tricolor allows one to Liberate the Grace in the blue lines by Embracing the Permanent Curiosity in the green line, which can Resolve the Challenge in the red line.

By Permanent Curiosity we mean Avoiding Trying to Figure It Out – Recognizing that Confusion is one of our most Valuable Emotions and not an invitation to “Left-Brain” Research and Analysis. If we can stay Present with the Confusion Emotion and Learn to Celebrate it, it will lead us to much more Powerful places. Someone once said (Einstein? Maybe) that “We can’t Solve a Problem using the same Thinking that postulated the Problem.” Confusion, if you can Embrace it as the Emotion that it is, will open your Intuition to a kind of Thinking that will Solve the Problem, or more likely, Perspectives that will Reframe the Problem into Opportunities.

A Quincunx is a miniature Mystery School, like a Zen Koan or a piece of a Yin Gate, a Portal to the next step in our Evolution. When you try to contemplate the sound of one hand clapping, for instance, if you take the effort seriously, you’ll be Expanding and Reframing your notions of Sound, of Hands, of Honoring, of Action, and who knows what else, and you might even discover why Beatniks used to “clap” by snapping their fingers.

The Major Tricolors (Square-Quincunx-Trine), like…

Pluto-Square-Haumea-Quincunx-Sedna-Trine-Pluto or TranceFormation Challenging Rebirth which is Curious about Fear and Power and how it might make TranceFormation Effortless,

and Sedna-Square-Karma-Quincunx-Pluto-Trine-Sedna,

…lead to Dumb-Luck Blessings that are typical of Trines. The Minor Tricolors (Square-Quincunx-Sextile), like…

Haumea-Square-Pluto-Quincunx-Karma-Sextile-Haumea or Rebirth making TranceFormation difficult while TranceFormation is in Awe of Inertia, and if we Step into it we can sort of see how Inertia facilitates Rebirth,

and Karma-Square-Sedna-Quincunx-Haumea-Sextile-Karma,

…lead to greater Engagement and probably more Wisdom, as a Sextile doesn’t unlock its Grace till we take the First Step, Participating instead of just Observing. Notice that we’re just following different paths around the lines inside the twelve-sided circle. Each path offers a different Curriculum for us, and if we have the time, we could maximize this Opportunity by following them all. Eventually we’ll end up at Ceres, the chinstrap, and make our Life more Sustainable. We’d just be adding -Sextile-Ceres to the end of each Major Tricolor, and -Quincunx-Ceres to the end of each Minor Tricolor.

So the keys to the Tricolors are Haumea-Quincunx-Sedna, Karma-Quincunx-Pluto, Pluto-Quincunx-Karma, and Sedna-Quincunx-Haumea. And then, if we Chose the more Rewarding but more Effortful Minor Tricolors, we’ll have to add Haumea-Quincunx-Ceres and Karma-Quincunx-Ceres in order to “Cross Go” and Earn our Sustainability Merit Badge (if you haven’t Learned to Fully and Lovingly Embrace All of your Emotions yet, you may not Realize that Earth is just a Very Deep board game). Let’s take an example, say, Haumea-Quincunx-Sedna.

So we have a Koan about the Relationship between Rebirth and Fear/Power. (It might help to remember what Artemisia said about Power in The Findhorn Garden.) Certainly we Fear Rebirth. Our Ego is probably very Attached to our Toys and Colleagues in the Current Incarnation, and loathe to give them up. Those are Intellectualizations, and the Intellect doesn’t have the Power to Evolve us, because it’s basically a Logic machine. Give it some rules and some starting conditions, and it can dummy up a pretty fair simulation. But where is the Evolution in that? We’re just rearranging the deckchairs in our Existing Concept Set.

How might there be Power in Rebirth? How might it Feel to be Conscious of all of our Parallel Lives? Now we’re starting to get into some Koan-like Questions, which may Open us to new Intuitions that Expand our Concept Set. “How might it Feel…” is particularly Open-Ended. If you don’t just find the list of Emotions in the back of your Alexanders book and highlight a few, but Open your Emotional Body to the actual Experience, what might happen? You probably Relive some part of your Past every day. Can you be there in the Cafeteria Line, and also Be Here Now? It might be more inviting to Remember what it was like to Make Love with your All-Time Favorite Lover and also Be Here Now.

Does that feel like fuses blowing in your head? That might be a good sign. One – just One – part of what’s involved with actual Permanent Curiosity (aka Awe or Wonder, but not Wondering about, Wondering at instead), is that we have to Conceive of more Dimensions than we’re used to working with, and different Rules. Since the Universe is Both/And, what is a Contradiction to the Intellect is a Paradox to our Curiosity. Do we even know what a Paradox is, or is it just something unexplainable? It should be something that defies our Concepts of Reality, something that forces us to Choose between what we See and what we Know, or somehow Embrace them both.

A number of the folks in the Antichrist’s Cult may be doing that now, Knowing that just a month ago they were Legends in their Own Minds, but Seeing that now they’re Criminals. Many may Choose to be Martyrs, where both Stories can seem to be True, rather than Expanding their Concept Set to include the possibility that not everyone appreciates White Supremacy, or Expanding their Concept Set to include the possibility that Other People may actually have a right to Exist. But again, these are Intellectualizations. We can’t Predict how any given person will Expand their Consciousness if and when they do, because they’re an Organism much more Complex and Multidimensional than our Observing Mind.

The point is that we may be going through a similar process, where some of what we See and what we Know are splitting apart. If we find ourself trying to figure out how to put Humpty-Dumpty back together again, we may want to Change the Program, and begin to Appreciate Curiosity as the Blessing that it is, as it is, without having to Dissect it. You might also find yourself in a place where you’re being Reborn and your Trances Reformed and your Karma is backing off, you Feel Empowered and Delighted by the process, and it Feels Sustainable. Okay, we’ve pretty well covered the Challenges (T-Squares) in the 9 July 2020 (11pm PDT) Rebirth (Station of dwarf planet Haumea) chart.  Before we move on to the 11 July (2pm PDT) Banishing-Victimhood (Station of Chiron) chart, is there anything else in the Rebirth chart that’s too important to ignore?

There’s significant, well-Grounded Grace, especially between our Guilt, our Fear, and our newly Expanding Confidence (Earth Grand Trine [Dumb-Luck Blessings] between asteroid Nemesis [Guilt, Ego Death], dwarf planet Sedna [Converting Fear to Power], and dwarf planet Chariklo [Self-Doubt and Self-Confidence] Conjunct Jupiter-Pluto [Expanded Trance]).

The overall Configuration is a Headless Flying Squirrel with Big Ears (or the shield of the Pennsylvania Railroad, if you ever played Monopoly).  Given the Ears, we should probably think of it as a Bat instead, though Bats have a rather ominous reputation, even though a lot more of them Enjoy Fruit than Jugulars.  We could wear a Turtle-neck just in case.  Actually, Bats are great for eating Mosquitoes and the like, and in most places they’re mostly invisible.  A Headless Flying Squirrel wouldn’t know where it’s going, which is a good omen for the Intuition we need to Navigate this Rebirth.  A Bat Navigates by echo-location more than Vision per se, and those Big Ears are great for that.  Flying Squirrels only Glide rather than Fly, while Bats are expert acrobatic Flyers, following the rapid zigs and zags of their Insect dinners.

The all-important Big Ears in the chart are our Rebirth (Haumea) and our Attention to Healing our Karmic Patterns and Recovering our Hidden Genius (Ixion-South Node-Galactic Center-Lilith).  Those are our Guides here.  You may not be used to being Guided by a Fetus, but it would be an excellent idea to Accept such a thing.  A New Identity is growing inside you, and you’d do well to strike up a conversation, and Listen more than you Talk.  Ask a lot of Questions, and PIAVA to Open All Possible Senses to “hear” the multi-dimensional Answers, or more likely, Stories.  Your Hidden Genius is its Invisible Friend, so it would be even better if you Inquired about them.  If you Think you Know what’s going on after that, you’re on the wrong track (Thinking is 2D, your Rebirth is at least 5D).  If you Kinda Feel like you have a Clue or two about your New Directions, you’ll be closer to Truth.

The Core of a Flying Squirrel Configuration is a Square Fez (a Trapezoid with blue top and bottom, and red sides, here Eris-to-Chariklo et al-to-Nemesis-to-North Node et al), and the key to any Fez lies in its Diagonals.  These are about Curiosity (Quincunxes, five Signs apart), the sort of Curiosity that’s about Awe or Wonder, more than any Answer-Seeking.  In fact, we need to be Vigilant about guarding against Answer-Seeking, because What We Want is the Discovery of Entirely New Insights that will Modify all of our other Concept Sets, not just moving the deck chairs around.  PIAVAs can help – in fact, might be Essential.  So the Quincunxes here are…

• New Relationships between Guilt and Revelation (Nemesis [Ego Death] Quincunx Eris [Denial and Revelation]) – a possible Theta PIAVA… “God/Goddess, Creator of All Things, I Command that Life-Changing Insights Be Delivered to Me.  It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done.  Thank You, God/Goddess. … Show Me!”  The Insights may be so Delivered, but more likely your Show Me will show you a picture of you having your Mind Blown, and the Insights appear later, after you’ve Changed the Subject.  If you don’t get a picture of yourself having an Insight, you may want to Tap Out your Resistance, with something like “Even though I’m Blocking the Insights that Will Change My Life, I Deeply and Completely Love and Accept Myself,” and then do the Theta again.

• New Relationships between Expanded Confidence and Unlimiting our Lifetime Mission (Chariklo-Jupiter-Pluto Quincunx Asbolus-Eurydike-Chaos-Atropos-North Node [Ending all Blocks to Trusting Your Intuition to Take You to a Greatly Expanded Vision of Your Mission]) – Our Mission will require us to Accomplish the Impossible, which is only Possible after we Abandon our Current Identity and our Current Mindset (this is Chiron territory, Poor-Sweetheart Country, and fortunately Chiron is also Stationary as we speak).  You could try a Poor-Sweetheart, like “You Poor Sweetheart, you can’t Do the Impossible, can you.”  Followed by Changing the Subject of course.  Or any of the other PIAVAs – Prayer, Intention, Asking, Visualizing/”Feelizing,” Affirmation, or any of the silent terms, like “C or E or W.”  I tried this one, and it was Amazing!  (Still is!)  Or, we could try Microdosing.

The Most Important Thing 2

Yay!  Kristin Metcalfe has directed us to https://serennu.com/astrology/ephemeris.php as a place to get lists of asteroids and dwarf planets sorted by Degree, so we can find Heavenly Bodies that we don’t normally use, which will fill out an Almost-Big-Configuration!  Hooray!  Thanks a million, Kristin!  For example, our 7 May 2020 Full Moon 19 Virgo Vacancy in the Potential-Grand-Sextile, is occupied by an asteroid (Asclepius) named after the Greek God of Healing.  Goddess knows we can use that!

Meanwhile, let’s take the most intense Challenge (T-Square) in today’s 10 May (9:09 pm PDT) Priorities astroevent (Station of Saturn in 2 Aquarius – Yay Again!  I discovered how to use this color without having to post-process the whole post), and see what happens if we consider it an Almost-Complete-Configuration.

I’ll start with our traditional interpretation process, where the planet at the focus of the Challenge (in this case asteroid Sappho [Self-Love] at 30 Virgo) is Worried by a False Dichotomy (Opposition or Duality, False because the Universe isn’t Dual; here the Nodal Axis [our Life Path], with a Big Party on the South Node – dwarf planets Ixion, Pholus, and Quaoar [Climate Change and how our Unique Genius will handle it]).  The Challenge is basically then, How are we going to Love Ourselves Unconditionally when we know that our Culture and most of our Species is on a Suicidal trajectory and people just Glaze Over when we point out that the Sky is Falling? 

But of course we have to Take Responsibility for our own Unique Genius, “Save Ourself,” let our Tribe find us, and Let Go of the folks that the Sky will Fall upon.  They have their own Free Will, whether they Recognize it or not.  They who Fart in Church sit in their own Pew.  We can have Empathy and Compassion for them, but do we really want to Follow them to their Self-Genocide.  You can Martyr yourself in front of their bulldozers if you want, but that’ll just Bloody things up.

I know, we Fear that they will Destroy our Planet and leave us without a decent Home, but the Planet we Live on is a Mirror for our own Inner Peace or Lack thereof.  The notion that our Planet is Only Physical, and therefore unable to Manifest Differently to each Observer, is a 3D Trance that we need to be willing to shed.  Life is an Interaction between the Consciousness Constellated around our Identity (ie, “Me”) and the Rest of the Universe (from our Viewpoint, “the Unconscious”).  In Energy terms, it’s a complex Diffraction Pattern (Hologram) Created when these two complex Energy Waves cross one another.

So then, can we find a planet that Opposes the symbol for Self-Love and Completes the Grand Cross, which would then be Balanced?  Yes we can.  It’s the symbol for The Lord of the Wind (Trans-Neptunian Object Manwë, aka 385446, aka 2003QW [Tolkien’s Lord of Wind, Air, and Birds] at 29 Pisces).  Wind is Uranian, the Higher Manifestation of Mentality.

In its Discovery chart (25 August 2003 in Chile), 150km-wide Manwë is Conjoined by a Retrograde Mars [Action Behind the Scenes] and Opposed by asteroid Arachne [Grandmother Spider, who Weaves the Web of Life that we Live in] and Worried (T-Squared) by dwarf planet Chaos [Unlimited Potential] on one side and Ixion-Quaoar [Survival of our Unique Genius] on the other, making a Grand Cross.  Which is to say that the Actions of our Unique Genius (Ixion) will Open Doors that will never again be Closed (Chaos) – if we Allow our Genius out of its Cage.

The Mars-Manwë T-Square in the Manwë Discovery chart is also Self-Resolving (a Diamond Star) that will Resolve the Issues that it Opens.  The Path which the Resolution follows will Lead through (the feet of the Manwë Finger of the Goddess, namely) Rebirth (dwarf planet Haumea) and Trust (asteroid Eurydike).  That is, we need to be Willing to Abandon Ourself (Eurydike) to the Dark Unknown in the Rabbit Hole of Ego Death (Haumea) in order to Coax our Genius out of Their Closet.

So to give this symbol for the Lord of the Wind (Manwë) a one-breath phrase or keyword to use should we encounter it again, we might use Stepping Off into the Unknown, also a reminder that this Lord Lives on a Mountaintop.

So then, How are we going to Love Ourselves Unconditionally when we know that our Culture and most of our Species is on a Suicidal trajectory and people just Glaze Over when we point out that the Sky is Falling?  We’re going to Trust that our Hidden, probably Forbidden, Unique Genius will plot an Effective Course for us, if we Give ourselves Permission to Break the Rules that imprison Her, or Him, or Them.

Thus Emboldened, let’s Risk going a step further.  There’s one planet five Signs away (a Quincunx) from the Focus of the Challenge (the Sappho T-Square).  If there was a second planet also five Signs away in the other direction (making a Finger of the Goddess), we’d have a Self-Resolving Challenge (a Diamond Star)!  Why not make it Easy on ourself?

Well, turns out there is a planet there, an asteroid.  The symbol for the Goddess of the Soul Completes this Major Configuration (asteroid Psyche at 1 Taurus).  We’ve met this lady before, though it’s been a while.

So now, Where will we Look to see How Unconditional Love Heals our Culture and our Species from its Suicidal trajectory so we don’t have to Run Around shouting that the Sky is Falling?  We’re going to Trust that as the Goddess of the Soul (asteroid Psyche) Merges with Our Own Soul as it Descends into Matter (Uranus in Taurus), our Forbidden Unique Genius (Ixion) will Break Free from its Hiding and Find its True Effortless Role in Creating a Safe Place for Us and Others on Earth.

This Merger (Uranus Initiating / Conjunct Psyche) occurs on 26 May at 3pm PDT (in 9 Taurus, “A fully decorated Christmas Tree“) and Begins a New 5-year Cycle where we may Learn to Celebrate Ego Death as a Rainbow of Light Penetrating the Darkness of our Unfulfilled Desires.  Each time we Lovingly Embrace an Ego Death we get closer to EnLightenment.

This is more Indirect than I prefer to go, but it verifies that the process works.  Next time I will probably go directly to Filling a Vacancy in a Self-Resolving Challenge rather than Filling a Grand Cross Vacancy, if there’s already one five-Sign connection.

Over the course of writing these blogs we’ve tried to make a Big Deal out of our Reaction to Confusion, hoping to Learn and Teach us to Embrace Confusion Directly as an Emotion, without trying to Fix it or Change it or Trying to Figure It Out.  When we succeed in Eliminating Confusion we Eliminate personal Growth, and it we have a Goal of EnLightenment or Ascension or any other form of Growth, we Sabotage ourself.

And separately, over the course of writing these blogs we’ve tried to make a Big Deal out of how we deal with Curiosity.  Many or most of us have been trained to Believe that Curiosity should Inspire us toward Knowledge, that Curiosity automatically seeks Understanding, that it’s a Question seeking an Answer.  We’ve tried to Shift that to Curiosity in the Infantile sense of Wonder or Awe.  More “Wow, isn’t that Amazing!” than “I need to Figure Out how that works.”  More “I Wonder at that!” than “I Wonder How That Works.”

Curiosity is the primary keyword assigned to the five-Sign Angle (Quincunx), in both Ego astrology and Growth astrology.  But in Growth astrology we want you to replace the Question Mark that follows Curiosity in Ego astrology, with a period.  With PIAVA, if we don’t Change the Subject after our Prayer, Thinking rapidly removes the Opportunity for Change by reinstating our old Limiting Belief System, fencing out what we’ve PIAVAed.  It’s Thinking that considers Curiosity to be a Question and does the dirtywork of reinstating our old Limiting Belief System and blocking what we could have Learned.

The other Major Angles connect Signs that are Related…

• Three-Sign Angles (Squares) connect planets in the same Quality – Creative (Cardinal), Stabilizing (Fixed), Changing (Mutable).
• Four-Sign Angles (Trines) connect planets in the same Element – Spirit (Fire), Matter (Earth), Emotion (Water), Mind (Air).
• Two-Sign Angles (Sextiles) connect planets in the same Polarity – Dynamic (Masculine) or Magnetic (Feminine).

But Five-Sign Angles (Quincunxes) Connect planets in Different Elements and Different Qualities.  Categories and Judgments are useful, but they are also Arbitrary, and Inhibit us from Recognizing the Unity and Infinite Variety of Reality.  They are products of Thought and its need to reduce everything to Duality.

The Five-Sign Quincunx Angle offers us Opportunities to Look at the World a little Differently, subtly slipping out of our Habit of Naming and Constraining and Limiting everything we Encounter.  When we Ask a Biomancer to Teach us how to Listen to Plants, the first thing they tell us is to Let Go of any Names we’ve associated with the Plant.  Try it – unless you’re having Senior Moments (which have their advantages), that’s not easy to do.  But when we consider Curiosity to be a Question seeking an Answer, we blithely Discard that Opportunity to Learn and Grow in Consciousness.

Is your Life absolutely Perfect the way it is?  Then don’t Change your Habits of dealing with Confusion and Curiosity as Invitations to Research.  Otherwise, PIAVA to Disrupt them, post-haste.

The current Priority astroevent (Saturn Station at 2 Aquarius) happens close to a Sign Cusp.  We usually use three Degrees of Sensitivity (“Orb” in astrologuese).  That means that we may have Major Angles between planets in Different Qualities or Elements.  For instance,

• The Self-Love symbol (Sappho) at the End of the Ego-Death Sign (30 Virgo)

makes a Major Angle (Trine) to

• The Top-Priority symbol (Stationary Saturn) Early in the Group Relationships Sign (2 Aquarius).

There’s less than three Degrees Difference between them, but they Connect Changing Matter (Mutable Earth) to Stabilized Thought (Fixed Air) – Different Qualities and Different Elements.  Another Opportunity to see the World through Different Eyes and Potentially Crack Open our Ossified Perspective on “Reality.”

Since Four-Sign Angles (Trines) are considered Benefic precisely because they Connect Signs in the same Element, there’s even a legitimate Question whether Cuspal Trines are Trines at all.  All six Angles that the Self-Love symbol (Sappho) makes include Cross-Cuspal Angles.

It’s a bit crude, but you’ll have to bear with me.  It’s been more than 50 years since my Cartography degree – I looked for my tools but couldn’t find them, so I had to draw it by hand.  My Canon printer turned ink-cartridge up, and thanks to the Spumonivirus the same brand wasn’t available, so I had to buy an HP printer.  Of course it wouldn’t talk to the ancient HP laptop that makes my charts.  So we’ll have to make do for a while.

Manifestation New Moon

The 23 February 2020 (7:30 am PST) New Moon chart, which is prominent for the next several weeks, is pretty much a repeat of the chart of the 19 February Five Moons Enhanced Creativity astroevent (see https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2020/02/16/five-moons-enhanced-creativity/).

One emphasis will be on Manifestation (a Diamond Star or Self-Resolving Challenge to dwarf planet Makemake), although we’ll be Asked to Take a Great Deal of Responsibility for our own Negativity whenever the Manifestation isn’t Effortless (the Makemake Diamond Star Opposes Chiron-Lilith [Overcoming Victimhood] and Squares the Nodes [it’s a Life Lesson for us], with Mars, Veritas, Pholus, and Quaoar on the South Node [We Have to Face Facts about whether we’re Being Fully, Proactively Responsive to our Survival Instincts]).

Remember that Responsibility isn’t Blame.  Blame is about looking at the Past to Assign Fault, while Responsibility is about looking to the Future to Improve Outcomes.

If we’re Listening, our Inner Voices will be telling us (dwarf planet OR10 [Intrusive Memories] closely Conjunct [Merged With] the New Moon, at the focus of a Finger of God [Pay Attention!]) which Held Emotions – the ones we’d rather Die than Feel – are Inhibiting our Creativity (the South-Node Stellium [Karma] is part of two Tricolor Configurations [Healing Opportunities]), especially our Creativity at Enhancing our Vitality (the Challenge [Square] side of the Tricolor is Uranus [Soul] Square to Varuna [Life Force]).

Held Emotion is a synonym for Karma – our Ego has a severe Allergic Reaction to certain Feelings or Scenarios, often those that were associated with Past Deaths or other serious Traumas.  By and large we’ve Suppressed the original Traumas, so we’re just left with a serious Aversion to anything that reminds us of the Triggering Event.  That is, Negative Karma is “just” unhealed PTSD.

We need to Reframe our Reaction from “I would rather Die than Feel (or Do) That!” to “I would rather Die than Feel (or Do) That!” – in other words, it’s not really about the Emotion or Scenario, it’s about Identity:  Letting Go of the crippling Karma requires an Ego Death.  We need to Recognize that “I’d rather Die than Feel that!” is never Present-Moment, so it’s not only Safe to metaphorically Let Ourself Go Ahead and Die, but it’s our only Path to Liberation from our Karmic Chains.

Tapping can be very useful in this endeavor – “Even though I’d Rather Die than Feel/Do [this or that], I Deeply and Completely Love and Accept Myself.”

It will be better if we forgo trying to Analyze exactly what it is we’re Resisting, just to Acknowledge our Resistance (we Trigger the Trine [Grace] side of a Tricolor, and heal the Square [Challenge] side of it, by making sure we Avoid Analyzing the Quincunx [Curiosity] side of it).

Here’s the New Moon chart…

In the Major Tricolor [Square-Quincunx-Trine] here, the Square [Challenge] is Uranus-to-Varuna [Soul Granting or Withholding Vitality], the Trine [Grace] is Uranus-to-South-Node-Stellium [Honesty about what’s Stressing Us], and the Quincunx [Mandatory Curiosity] is South-Node-Stellium-to-Varuna [Stress on our Life Force].  So we need to Acknowledge the Stress on our Vitality, without trying to Understand it.  We can Identify it suffixed with “…or something like that,” or we can just Poor-Sweetheart ourself – “You Poor Sweetheart, your Life Force Feels Low, doesn’t it” and not worry about Why it might be.

In the Minor Tricolor [Square-Quincunx-Sextile], the Uranus-to-Varuna Square is the same [Lack of Vitality or Difficulty Manifesting], but the Sextile [Grace after we take the First Step] is New-Moon-OR10-to-Uranus [Recognizing that those Intrusive Memories are sent by the Soul to Help us Heal] and the Quincunx is New-Moon-OR10-to-Varuna [the Intrusive Memories will Inform our Healing – but only if we don’t try to Pin Them Down Intellectually].  The Issues Involved in these Tricolor Configurations are too complex to be Grokked by the Dualistic Mind, so we need to Avoid trying to Pin Them Down like we would a Dead Butterfly.

♥ There are two other minor but potentially Meaningful astroevents occurring on 25 February.

♥ Our Hidden and Forbidden Genius (dwarf planet Ixion) has graduated from a quarter-century of Shedding its Prohibitions (Ixion in Sagittarius), and will now begin a new 25 years of Doing Serious Work in the World (Ixion in Capricorn).  This is an Important Milestone, as our Forbidden Genii are Exactly the Skills we all need to use if we are to Succeed in Keeping our Planet Habitable.

It will be a halting Beginning, but a Beginning nonetheless.  We will have to go back into our Prohibitions a couple of times to Retrieve the Tools of our Genius Trade, but as Jack and Dean would have put it, we are On The Road.  From 4 May till 10 September 2020, and from 16 July to 12 September 2021, Ixion Retrogrades back into Sagittarius.

♥ Our Skill at Squelching Self-Sabotaging Habits becomes much more Down-to-Earth (asteroid Atropos enters and crosses Taurus) between 25 February and 6 May 2020 (no Atropos Retrograde periods in Taurus).  We’ve been Toying with (Visualizing, really) Changing Negative Patterns, but now we’ll get down to Business and Jettison them for good.

To jumpstart this process, Frequently put your Attention on How You’ll Feel when you’ve Let Go Of these No-Longer-Welcome Companions, including any and all Habits and Addictions you wish to Shed, no matter how Tenacious they’ve been in the Past.  The Power is now on your side.  And while these Habits are Destructive to you now, they served you well at some point in the Past, so finding Gratitude for their Service will also be helpful.  You don’t need to know When or Why, just know that you wouldn’t have them now if they weren’t Powerfully Useful to some version of “you” at some point.

There will be a couple of Red-Letter Days (more likely, the Week prior to them) during this process…

• Around 6 March, we will be able to bring the Full Power of our Soul to bear on these Obsolete Patterns (Atropos crossing Uranus).  Take advantage of this – queue up your Most Persistent Curses for Exorcism during the first week of March.

• Around 1 May, we will be able to Tackle our Greatest Fears and put them in their place on the wall next to the rest of our Big-Game Trophies (Atropos crossing dwarf planet Sedna).  Tapping and Kegels work very well for Grounding ourself in the Presence of Skin-Crawling Fear.

♥ Finally, we’re  entering the Grip of a couple of Strong Energies.  Our Intuition will be very Strong (dwarf planet Asbolus Stationary) until 1 March, and our Skill at Transcending whatever we are Done With (asteroid Bee-Zed Stationary) will also be very Strong over the same period.

Self-Judgment and Self-Love

Well, my apologies.  I finally see why many folks are checking the blog’s home page – when I was cataloging the “first half of 2019” (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2018/12/24/2019-first-half/) I just plain missed a couple of Stations.  I thought we were getting a short break between the 12 January Lachesis Station and the 20 January Full Moon Eclipse, but no such luck!

I’ll amend that earlier post.

In other words, asteroid Nemesis – Ego Death – is Stationary as we speak.  There’s at least one positive about it – it could mean that US federal employees will start getting paid again by 18-20 January, but we’ll get to that.  The other big positive may not Feel so good, but it’s a big Opportunity.  The Nemesis Station Squares (Challenges) our old “friends” OR10 and Nessus, respectively Intrusive Memories and Abuse and Privilege.  Two things to Remember…

1. A Square seems to be about Repeated and Possibly Infinite Torture, while in fact a Square is about Complete Mastery of a Subject.  We – our Current-Moment Ego – didn’t sign up for Repeated and Possibly Infinite Torture, but actually it’s the quickest and most effective path to Complete Mastery.  Because Master can imply Slave, we’ve abandoned Mastery as a description of the Impact of a Square, however, and substituted Adeptness.  A Square is the quickest and most effective path to Becoming Completely Adept at something.
2. Karma is Dead.  When we Re-Experience a Trauma, our natural Reaction is to Push it Away.  But unfortunately that doesn’t work.  The only way to prevent it from returning Again (and Again and Again) is to Move Into it.  Recovery from Trauma was a major theme in the 1980s when Pluto was in Scorpio (fittingly), and the Anthem we used then was The Way Out Is Through.

Now that isn’t always True.  Once Pluto entered Sagittarius, The Way Out Was Letting Go.  Now Pluto is in Capricorn, so now The Way Out Is to Just Fix It.  So how to do that?  Well, one way is to toggle between Moving Into It and Letting It Go. 

We apologize for using a song sung by a Barbie-Doll mimic, because that’s just another thing that we need to Let Go of.  No wonder Lasseter’s in trouble with #MeToo…

We’ve all Suffered Abuse in some form; if you aren’t Aware of how you’ve been Abused, Ask for Awareness.  This is an Opportunity to increase your Healthy Control over your own Life.

The Key is that Karma is just Habit, and Habit is Built and Replaced by Repetition.  Every time you Re-Experience Trauma as its Victim you add cement.  But Every time you Let It Go as an Adept, you chip away the mortar.  That’s As An Adept.  That means you first have to dip your toe into it.  You can no longer Run Away from it.  It’s subtle and tricky, to Touch your old Trauma without getting sucked in and drowning in it.  If you have a friend, or a mnemonic, to remind you that it’s no longer Present Moment, that’ll help.

In the 1980s we used “What Color is the Wallpaper?” as our mnemonic, because the walls of the room we’re in now are probably a different color than the walls of the room where our Trauma occurred.  But that may suck you in too deep, if you even remember.  You need to keep at least one hand on the railing so you can pull yourself back out into Now.  Maybe a big

In order to Move Through and Let Go of Deep Trauma you may need an EFT professional who’s familiar with PTSD.  A workable approach might be to locate one near you (or within telephone distance), connect with them, tell them you want to try EFT on your Trauma first by yourself, and ask them if they’re willing to take your call if you get in over your head.  They may have useful information for you.  The basic EFT technique I use is this one…

Finally, if it’s Painful between now and 17 January, Recognize that the 20 January Sappho Station that follows, which is all about Self-Love, occurs within a few minutes of the Total Lunar Eclipse, which will make Self-Love very Powerful and more Long-Lasting.

The major Configuration of the Nemesis Station chart…

• Nemesis Square OR10-Nessus (Abuse/Privilege).  This is a Challenge – consider it an Invitation – to Let Go of our Beliefs that Abuse and Privilege follow us around like a Lost Puppy.

In the Unconscious, Opposites are Equal.  So one way to Approach our Beliefs that we attract or deserve or allowed Abuse (if we don’t bring these Beliefs into Consciousness they’ll Control our Life), is to Examine the ways we are Privileged.  Privilege is actually useful – as long as it doesn’t leave someone else without Privilege.  If you have a friend who likes to buy you lunch, Enjoy it!  And pay it forward, pass it around.  Save half to give to the homeless person on the corner.

But we want to Strive for Balance.  We want to Grant as much Privilege as we Receive.  And we want to Give as little Abuse as possible, and Receive even less.  Having Received Abuse it’s inevitable that we will Give it, Unconsciously if not Consciously.  Stay Safe, but try to steer it toward Abusers…

Full Moon Blessings II

There is a third Diamond Star in the Full Moon chart, this one to the Venus T-Square.  The Bowl of Grace in it consists of the Moon and Saturn-Hylonome.

This is a tightly Integrated series of Gifts, where each Reinforces the Others.

The Vacancy that would create a more-Balanced Grand Cross out of the Venus T-Square is 8 Sagittarius, “Within the depths of the Earth new elements are being formed: The Alchemical Fire that both purifies and transforms the Inner Life.”

Vacancies typically are Energies that we have to provide Consciously, but in this case Goddess Gaia/Pi is doing it for us.  We reinforce the Energy by Paying Attention to it.  In Daniel Scranton’s Arcturian Channeling yesterday…

Including the Full Moon but not the Nodal Axis, dwarf planet Orcus (Oath-Making and -Breaking), Saturn-Hylonome, and Nessus comprise five of the six points that would Complete a Magnetic Grand Sextile.  The Vacancy that would Complete it is 10 Cancer, “A large Diamond in the first stages of the cutting process.”

Again, our Task is to Pay Attention to the World We Are Creating rather than the one that we want to leave.  As Jewel put it…

“Lend your voices only to sounds of Freedom
No longer lend your strength to that which you wish to be free from”…

Which includes Paying Attention to the fact that we’re still in the “first stages” of Shaping our Diamond.

Not that we aren’t Spectacular and Gorgeous just the way we are, but getting smug when we aren’t finished with our Mission just sets ourself up for unnecessary future Ego Deaths.

While we’re on the subject of Oath-Making and -Breaking (Orcus), we need to point out something that we seldom mention – the short green lines in any chart.  These are the “Unxes” – the seldom-used word Unx means one twelfth of something, and an Unx is a Twelfth-Harmonic Angle, or two planets that are one Sign apart. 

The Twelfth Harmonic is the “Hanging Man,” but he isn’t Hanging by his Fingernails or Neck, rather by his Heels – in order to get a new Perspective on the World and Break Old Patterns.  There are usually a number of Unxes in each chart, and each one Creates an Opportunity to Break Free of our Programming and of the places to which we No Longer want to Lend our Strength.

Let’s look at a few examples…

In addition to the Diamond-Star Trine Bridges, the Full Moon is also Bridged by a Quincunx to asteroid Sappho.  We’d usually focus on PIAVAs that would attempt to preserve the Curiosity inherent in the Quincunx (two planets five Signs apart), because that Natural Curiosity is a red flag indicating a Pattern that we have a current Opportunity to Explore more deeply.

For instance, Moon in Scorpio Quincunx Sappho in Aries.  Marko Pogačnik (Sacred Geography, p.104) suggests…

“To perceive Water Beings [Scorpio] one can use the language of traditional symbols attributed to them.  Standing in front of a water body, imagine that your buttocks are covered with fish scales and your legs are shaped like a movable fish tail.  Then quickly detach yourself from your imagination and open yourself instantly to perception.”

and (p.107)…

“To get a good perception of Fire Beings [Aries], one should concentrate on the warmth and pulsation of the blood within one’s veins – which represents the Fire Element within our body.  Open your perception from there.”

These would both be great PIAVAs.  We could start each of these exercises by briefly calling to mind a current Emotional (Water/Scorpio) or Spiritual (Fire/Aries) Difficulty or Question we have.   Then we could follow with a PIAVA about how they are Related. 

If you’ve ever had a gas stove and flicked water into the flame, you see the flame turn from blue to orange briefly, as the heat cleaves the highly flammable Hydrogen from the other Element in the Water, the Oxygen that Ignition requires.  Water and Fire are not so far apart as one would think.

Emotion can quench Spirit (Water extinguishing Fire), Held Emotions by cutting part of ourself off from the rest of ourself, and Intense Emotion just by demanding our Full Attention and blotting out Spiritual Perspective.  In the former case we’d like to Strive for Wholeness; in the latter we have to Surrender to the Overwhelm for a while in order for the Emotions not to become Held. 

But in appropriate proportions, Spiritual Fire can Break Up the Persistence of Emotions.  In the Wild, we often either processed Emotion quickly, or became someone else’s dinner.  No Blame there, we’re just returning the favor, as so many times Other Beings have become our dinner, and we’re just Giving Back.  Many tuned-in Cultures “bury” their Dead on platforms, so the Nutrients can be directly Recycled by the Critters that the Culture Co-Exists with and Cooperates with to maintain Sustenance.

This is a Waning Quincunx, so beginning to think about Recycling is appropriate.

But let’s look at the Unx half of the Quincunx Bridge – Sun Unx Sappho, Breaking Patterns around, or Gaining New Perspective on, how our Essence and our Self-Love Relate to one another.

A reader today writes…

“The work now becomes ‘growing’ those skills of boundaries, healthy anger, putting True Mission first, finding Right Community and all the rest.  Certainly work of a lifetime!  Plus continual Loving of the parts that still feel Betrayed, Abandoned and Shamed.  I kept wanting Justice, but now I’m just aiming to become aware of, and Love, those sad, angry, and hopeless parts, without changing them into something more ‘acceptable.’ “

Our Essence often Values Justice, but we always need to remind ourself that Nothing Changes Until We Accept It Fully Just As It Is.  It’s not like the Urge for Justice then goes away; it’s that without the Emotional Load (which is usually runoff from some distantly-related Held Emotion) we’re much more Able to Act Effectively to Change the World in (usually small but) Measurable ways.

Our reader continues…

“There is still some difficulty, in that you and many others talk about the thoughts we have as shaping our timelines.  And so I feel uncertain as to how I can welcome these… less pleasant?… manifestations while not having them rule any capability I have to set new directions.”

We don’t talk enough about Cancel-Neutralize-Upgrade, but it’s a very important tool for dealing with unwelcome Thoughts.  The Statement Asks the Universe to Cancel the “Negative” thought we just had, Neutralize the Vibration it has Projected into the Ethers, and Upgrade the Thinker (that be us).  With practice we can build the Habit of issuing this Directive quickly after thoughts that could potentially Create Realities we don’t Want. 

While we’re working to develop that Habit, we can follow the Invitation that the Unconscious has offered through the “Negative” thought – Gestalt immediately springs to mind.  We would not have had that Negative thought (says the Jungian) if it did not have a Positive purpose for our Enlightenment.  So there is a part of us that regards this as Negative, and a part of us for which this is evidently some form of Truth.

We could Tap Out the “Even though I sometimes think [this Negative thought] [Negative Thoughts (in general)], I deeply and completely Love and Accept Myself…”  That could help squelch the thought.  But the Gestalt process could help us Get To The Bottom Of It (which is what Scorpio is all about).  The Negative thought is an Expression of something we actually Want, we’re just in the Habit of Expressing it in Negative terms, probably because someone once told us that What We Want wasn’t Politically Correct.

Fritz (Perls) had us Imagine two chairs.  In one chair would sit the part of us that is in the Habit of reciting this Negative thought, and in the other chair was the part of us that is in the Habit of Judging this particular thought as Negative.  The first assignment is to Discover What the part of us in the Negative chair Wants that will make a Positive contribution to our Lives.

For instance, maybe the part of us in the Negative chair is in the Habit of thinking about Fear of Scarcity.  Well, an obvious possibility could be that what the part of us in the Negative chair really Wants, is Abundance, and it’s trying to urge us to work on Strategies for same.  Maybe.  This is always an “…or something like that” game as Eugene Gendlin would say.  Conclusions are Killers.  Possibilities are Life-Enhancers. 

Or maybe our Negative thought is an Intuition that some element is flawed in the Abundance Strategy that we already have.  Or maybe it’s an Intuition that since our Abundance Strategy is an attempt to Control an Uncertain Future, we should perhaps consider switching to PIAVAs about Future Abundance, where we specify What We Want (Katherine Ponder reminds us that Abundance means Having Enough to Share), Trust that the Universe will Provide that in its own way, and Tap Out the Anxiety underlying our Negativity.

Now of course in the other chair sits our Judgments.  Which is worse relative to the Evolution of our Consciousness – Judgment, or a poorly worded Desire for Abundance (if that’s what it was)?  Do we Judge Judgment?  This may be an Opportunity to Differentiate Blame (assignment of Past Causation) from Response-Ability (attempting to improve Future Outcomes).

You can see the Vast Field of Opportunity Opening up here!  Remember that Growth in Consciousness is not about Discovery; it’s about Differentiation.  The Complete Universe has always been here; there are just parts of it that we haven’t been in the Habit of Differentiating from background “Noise.”  That Bird was in the Bush all along; we just didn’t See it till it moved.  If it was could have been our Dinner and it just flew out of range, Growth in Consciousness – and Survival, might mean Upgrading our Attention and Sensitivity to Shapes and Colors.

For instance, in moment of writer’s block I often play a game of Solitaire on an ancient laptop.  It’s recently gone crazy with its colors, so I now have the Shape of the suits, but not the Colors.  It demands an additional layer of thought, where Habit no longer works, which is a real Pain in the Scales.  It’s Exhausting rather than Relaxing, as Learning often is.  The Universe is trying to tell me something, I have no idea what, but it obviously has to do with Recognizing Shapes.

Some of the Angles in this chart I’ve drawn in with light lines, in order to emphasize the many primary Configurations, but please don’t regard the light lines as less important.

For instance, there are six Fingers of God in the Full Moon chart, each one Asking us to Pay Attention To This!  We’ve already talked about Ceres-North Node, Venus, the Moon, and Saturn-Hylonome.  Hidden in the light lines are additional Fingers of God to Sappho and Orcus.  We’ve talked about both of those, but in the process we haven’t noted the Importance that the Fingers of God add to their Impact.  You might want to reread about them in that Light.

Genius, Forbidden, II (or, Don’t Panic!)

A Square Fez is a trapezoid with Squares on the non-parallel sides, like the one pictured in the previous post.  We spoke there about the Square (Mastery through Challenge) between Ixion-Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs around our Forbidden Genius) and Chiron (Despair and Miracle). 

The other Square in the Fez links our Boundaries around Fear (Sedna-Pallas) with Truth (Veritas).  Unfortunately, that fits perfectly with Opening to our Held Emotions – Loosening our Boundaries against Fear in our own Bodies in order to face the Truth about how they got there.

A Fez is addressed by Paying Attention to the diagonal Quincunxes (green lines, five Signs).  A Quincunx is about Permanent Curiosity, not the sort of Curiosity that seeks Answers, but the sort that’s akin to Awe and Wonder.  That’s not easy for many of us, as we’re so used to “Figuring It Out.”  Even astrology, after all, is just an attempt to “Figure It Out,” or at least an attempt to Figure Out which direction to head in, if not where to go.

I often think of our Process as navigating on a grid, but heading toward a destination that’s askew to the grid.  Like walking in a town with streets that run north-south and east-west, but trying to get to the northeast.  One block east, two blocks north, one block east, etc.  Oops, a dead end.  Now what.  So we need to check back with our Intuition almost constantly, every other step.  Which is actually an excellent practice, because we might eventually Learn to do just that “automatically.”

The two Quincunxes/Curiosities in the Ixion Fez are…

• Chiron to Veritas – “You Poor Sweetheart, you may never know the Truth,” so I guess we’ll have to assume that we know part of the Truth, take a step, then check to see if we’re moving closer to it or not.  Remember when you had to Learn Calculus, or Differential Equations?  No?  Lucky you!
  

• Ixion-Vesta to Sedna-Pallas – Can we Uncloak our otherwise Unconscious Beliefs by fiddling with the Habitual Boundaries around Fear in our Bodies?  We should probably be careful to insert “Lovingly and Gently” or the like into our PIAVAs, so we don’t Re-Traumatize ourself.
  

A looong time ago I had a friend who always looked like they were Surprised.  The way they held their mouth, I guess.  They never appeared Stressed, just Surprised.  Always.  They were a fairly undaunted Adventurer, so they knew something I didn’t.  I never Consciously tried to imitate they way the held their mouth, but it happened anyway.  Sometimes when I Feel Numb it still happens, and I can’t help but think of my friend.  Like now.

Since last night’s PIAVAs around the Edges of my Unconscious Held Emotions, I’ve continued to Feel fairly Numb, interrupted by a Dream-like Vision of having an Angry Bear trapped inside my car.  Which, I guess because it was Semi-Conscious (though unsolicited), wasn’t actually scary, though now I Feel Shaky.  Tapping on it, trying not to Close any Opened Portals.  Actually, Shaky is probably a fine Response to this chart, and by now we’re well into the Pholus Station.

The third Challenge (Square) in the Ixion-Station chart is between Venus-Uranus (Aligning our Values with our Soul Self) and Varuna-Aletheia-Mnemosyne (Remembering the Truth about our Life Force).  Well, the Truth about our Life Force is that we won’t Recover it – we won’t be Whole – till we Recover our Forbidden Genius.  So the Challenge is about Sensing the Holes in the Whole.

Now I’ve just noticed that I forgot to draw any lines to Haumea in the Ixion-Station chart, and Haumea (Rebirth) is intimately connected to everyone else there.  For instance…

• Along with Aligning-Values-and-Soul (Uranus-Venus), Rebirth (Haumea) completes the T-Square (Challenge to Mastery) to Remembering-our-Life-Force (Varuna-Aletheia-Mnemosyne).  Being Reborn into Wholeness sounds a lot easier, actually, than Recovering our Forbidden Genius, though as a T-Square we need to, as Graciously as we can, Accept the Frustration that we can only hope to Encircle our destination, not Reach it.

• The addition of Haumea Shifts the Great Grace (Grand Trine) between Forbidden-Genius-and-Unconscious-Beliefs (Ixion-Vesta), Aligning-Values-and-Soul (Uranus-Venus), and Truth (Veritas) into an Emphasis on Rebirth (making the Grand Trine into a Kite, not to mention the Finger of God on the Chiron-to-Sedna/Pallas Sextile).  We can read the latter Sextile as Grace and Rebirth will follow from Poor-Sweethearting our Fears.

It’s easy to forget that the “recipe” for Poor-Sweethearting says that the only thing we need to do is to Poor-Sweetheart; then we can just Change the Subject, and let the Miracles unfold.  Once we Shift from Despair to Compassion, the New Perspective will Allow what would otherwise have been Miracles, but if we micromanage the process, our Old Paradigm will Block the Miracles. 

So our best course will probably be to just follow whatever arises, and continue to Poor-Sweetheart any new Pain that comes up.  “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re really Feeling Shaky, aren’t you.”  Yes, I always felt that way while I was growing up, till I was well into my 30s.  Kept my weight down, it did.  The “Wisdom of Insecurity,” Alan Watts might call it.

Then there are the Epiphanies (Mjōlnirs, or Hammers of Thor, where a third planet sits at the Far Midpoint between two planets that are Square)!  A Mjōlnir symbolizes Lightning, or Sudden Illumination.  Each of the four Challenges is the root of an Epiphany (ie, each of the four Squares forms the base of a Mjōlnir)!  A Mjōlnir is composed of two Trioctiles, which are about Rebalancing into Wisdom.  The Mjōlnirs are…

• The Light from Consciousness of the Edge between Material Confusion and Spiritual Clarity (Juno-Neptune) Shines on the Rebirth of our Life Force (Haumea Square Varuna-Aletheia-Mnemosyne).

• The Light from our own Ancient Archetypal Patterns (asteroid Karma, which is Stationary, Exact on 8 April) Illuminates the Dance between Realigning our Values and Remembering our Life Force (Uranus-Venus Square Varuna-Aletheia-Mnemosyne).  Our Karma is, after all, a walking talking Hitchhikers Guide to our Universe.

• The Light from the Realization that The Most Important Thing is Letting Go of our Archetypes (Saturn-Hylonome, with Hylonome slowing down for its 13 April Station) Brightly Illumines the Truth of our Fears (Veritas Square Sedna-Pallas).

• The Light from our Innate Knowledge of Our Own Mission (North Node) Shines on our Poor-Sweethearting of the consequences of our Childhood Abuse (Chiron Square Ixion-Vesta).

That Feels a lot better.

The Rose above the Sky

Let’s look a little more at that Grand Quintile.  Here’s one without all of the other Action in its chart…

It’s a Pentagram, traditional symbol of Magic.  It’s actually pointing down, which sometimes implies Black Magic.  But as we said in the previous post, the whole diagram will turn upside down in twelve hours, so there’s little meaningfully permanent about the pointing.  If there’s anything to the Black part, it’s bad luck or evil intent for the West Coast of the US, as the chart is even rotated for other locations at the same time.

The Full Moon occurs around 3pm PDT, which is the equivalent of 2pm PST.  Since Hawaii is two hours earlier than Pacific Time, the Sun will be close to directly overhead in Hawaii – and the Pentagram will be pointing straight up.

The classic symbol of five-symmetry is the Rose Family, which includes this Apple (a future Fuji), blooming as we speak…

The Rose and Pentagram have always been associated with Venus and the Heart, because the Zodiacal locations of the Heliacal Rising of Venus over eight years plot a perfect Hexagram.  The “Heliacal Rising” of a planet or Star occurs when it first becomes visible again after being hidden by being too close to the Sun.  The ancients measured the seasons of the year by keeping track of the Heliacal Rising of various Stars.

I read today that the process of Learning floods the brain with a particular protein, and that this protein confuses the brain’s reward center, disrupting Addictions.  The same can apply to Archetypes, since our Karmic or Childhood Programming Unconsciously expects a positive reward when we’re Obedience to an Archetype we’re Entranced to.  Liberation from an Archetype is by far the most important type of Learning, since it’s Life-Changing.  And Entrancing someone to a Archetype, such as Nationalism, would be a good case of Black Magic.

Let’s isolate the Grand Decile.  A Decile Angle is one tenth of the Zodiacal Loop, so a Grand Decile has ten planets equally spaced ’round the Circle…

If that reminds you of a Rose it’s no coincidence; with five-symmetry the double Rose has five petals in each layer.  Fortune, the Tenth Harmonic, is related to Learning mostly through Liberation from Archetypes, as Liberation allows us to respond Neutrally to circumstances and Witness Reality more clearly.  Left-brain Learning, which involves only the accumulation of Information and not Liberation, also clogs the brain’s reward center – Jung always said that people whose primary approach to Life is through Thinking, are irrational, because not being in touch with their Heart, they Act according to their thoughts rather than their Values.

There is a reason why astrology considers the Fifth Harmonic a “Minor” Angle, aside from the fact that you can’t instantly spot them because they share the same Degree of their respective Signs, as you can with “Major” Angles.  It’s much more difficult to gain Power Over someone who runs their Life from their Heart rather than their “Head.”  Thinking is usually associated with the Head because Left-Brain Mythology attributes thought to the brain.  In Energy Reality, thinking is assigned to the Third Chakra, the Solar Plexus, not the brain.

In order to Power-Over a “Head”-centered person, all we need to do is match their Archetypal Programming with our Propaganda or Rhetoric.  To Power-With a Heart-centered person, we need to demonstrate that we share their Values.  We may be able to direct our Propaganda to their Values, but a Heart-centered person is much more likely to be in touch with their Intuition and Instincts, which would allow them to know our Intentions.

The more we uses our Quintiles to Break Free of our Archetypes, the more directly we Witness Reality.  When we’re Entranced by an Archetype, that’s all we see – the rest of the Universe is projected onto the outer screen of the Archetype.  The more Archetypes entangle us, the less we see of what goes on behind the curtain.  It’s the greater detection of Reality which allows the Tenth Harmonic to represent Manifestation – which is more difficult when we can’t see the levers and pulleys and cobwebs and Energies that connect the elements of hardcopy Reality.

Crystals do not exhibit five-symmetry, but there are several Powerful Stones named after the Rose, such as this Rose Quartz, a Stone representing the Heart…

Another “Minor” Angle that we use is the Quincunx, which connects two planets that are five Signs apart, or five twelfths of the way ’round the Loop.  The Fifth Harmonic is Learning, and the Twelfth Harmonic Pattern-Breaking, and the Quincunx combines the two – into Curiosity.  This is the source of Power in the Yin Gate – which, with it’s four Quincunxes arranged in two adjacent Xs, introduces us to Paradox or Non-Dual thinking.

And while the Grand Quintile, if used properly, can lead us to Archetype-Busting, the “Grand Unx” (an “Unx” is one twelfth of something), with twelve planets equally spaced around the Zodiac, will almost certainly Bust up some Archetypes and other Addictions.  Here’s a look at the 16 May chart, when the Moon and the Nodes add the final two aligned Oppositions to the four in our Gods and Goddesses Full Moon chart (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2017/05/07/gods-and-goddesses-full-moon/) to complete a loose Grand Unx…

We’ve drawn in the Unxes and Quincunxes in light green.  From the Perspective of traditional astrology, there’s a problem with this chart.  The twelve positions vary from 22 to 30 Degrees; that’s eight Degrees of Sensitivity, a span that traditional Astrology would only allow for Major Angles in birth charts.  Even in birth charts, the maximum Sensitivity permitted for Minor Angles is three Degrees.

Well, recall that many times we’ve said that Permanent Curiosity (as in Awe and Wonder rather than “Gotta Figure It Out”) is akin to Love because both eschew Judgment.  If we can break our Addiction to Figuring It Out, the Quincunx actually leads us to this space of Non-Judgment, aka Neutrality, aka Enlightenment, aka Ascension.  Maybe we should call it “Unconditional” Curiosity, to parallel Unconditional Love.  In a Relationship, Love dies when Curiosity is replaced by Certainty and Judgment.

So in our Perspective, there’s nothing Minor about a Quincunx – it’s one of the more Major Angles on Reality.  We can say the same for the the Archetype-Busting Quintile and Unx, and for that matter the Septile.  The Septile (Seventh Harmonic) is about Timing – not wasting our Energy when the moment is not ripe, and Acting Decisively when it is – like France’s own new “JFK” apparently has.  We hope he fares better than JFK did.  Well, it turns out that Timing is critical in everything, including Curiosity and Unconditional Love.  It’s Timing that resolves the unsettling apparent Conflicts between Unconditional Love of Other and Unconditional Love of Self.

So we don’t argue that this chart may not be fully descriptive of the Present Moment come 16 May.  But if the Unx and Quincunx are Major Angles, as we aver, then we regard the chart as fully applicable to Projects begun under its watch, including the Rebirths that have been scheduled for us.

 

The Yin Gate and PIAVAs

The Yin Gate is a special case of the Golden Rectangle, which is the blue rectangle in the picture.  Blue lines represent Energies of Grace or Ease.  This particular blue rectangle is called “Golden” because the ratio of the length of the long lines to the length of the short lines is the “Golden Ratio” (~1.618 to 1.000).  That ratio is called “Golden” because it is found everywhere in Nature – among tree branches, among leaves, among veins in leaves, among bones and vessels and nerves in Critters, in Crystals, in molecular structure, etc.,  etc.

We might also encounter it as the “Golden Angle” (360 Degrees divided by 1.618 or 222.5 Degrees).  We’ve written about that Angle in astrology, at

We focus our astrological Attention on the Angles between planets because the Angles between them indicate the sort of Energy the planets Act Out through their combinations.  The Signs in astrology represent Flavors of Expression, the Houses represent Material Manifestation Styles, and the Angles (“Aspects” in astrologuese) represent Energies.  We happen to believe that the Essence of the Universe is Energy; Matter is just a side effect.  So we focus on the Angles – the Energies.

We differentiate the sort of Curiosity that seeks Answers from the sort of Curiosity that’s Perpetual.  Perpetual Curiosity is akin to Awe and Wonder, like the Awe and Wonder you can see in the eyes of a Newborn when they’re Safe, or what you’re likely to Feel during a Total Solar Eclipse.  We focus on Perpetual Curiosity because it Allows us to escape from our Birdcages.  

When we Understand, we create a box or a Cage to put ourselves in.  We do it for Safety.  Just as an example, suppose you’re walking down the sidewalk of a road that has curves in it.  At some points in the curve, cars will appear to be coming directly at you.  Do you leap out of the way every time this happens?  No, because your Understanding tells you that the driver will follow the road rather than go straight ahead and run over you.

This saves you from burning out your adrenals every time you go for a short walk, and keeps your clothes and shoes tidy because you spend less time in the shrubbery.  Now, once you encounter a driver who’s composing a text on their cellphone instead of paying Attention to the road, then, once you get out of the hospital, if you do, you’re going to recognize that your Birdcage needs to have some of its bars adjusted.  This is the Danger of Understanding; it works till it doesn’t.

When we study the metaphysical Universe, Understanding is constantly in our way.  The more we Feel Safe about our Understanding, the more Danger we’re in, physically.  Of course there’s no metaphysical Danger; cars can’t put Souls in the hospital, as much as they Enjoy the game of trying.  Or so we Understand.  

There are things we Know, a priori.  These things don’t come from the mind’s Understanding, they come from the Heart’s Knowing.  Understanding is Dangerously subject to mass hypnosis and a slavish Devotion to Logic and Pleasing.  While everyone focuses on what’s Logical, they seldom mention that Logic is irrelevant when you Change the Assumptions.  Without specific and carefully specified Assumptions, Logic is nothing but propaganda, also often known as Bullshit.  And while everyone focuses on Pleasing and Conforming, they seldom mention that it freezes off your Creative Genius as if it was a wart.

We were all raised to Understand (and sometimes follow) reasonable Limits of socially acceptable – in our Culture and in our family – behavior, thoughts, and Emotional Expression.  Maturity it’s known as, and you’ll look long and hard to find folks who Understand that Maturity is propaganda.  This is called our “Programming,” and it’s not easy to break out of.

There are places for all of us where our Programming and our Heart’s Knowing don’t jive with one another.  Self-Sabotage is the result.  Deprogramming ourself and eliminating Self-Sabotage is a worthy goal of astrology, since your natal chart shows how you ran your Energy before you were Programmed to Conform to socially acceptable Understanding.

Which is not to say that many forms of social standards aren’t very handy – no one needs to be murdered while just walking down the street because someone’s Deprogrammed self thought it would be kicks, or because their Emotional Response to Fear was to strike out.  On the other hand, the Heart’s Knowing is far less likely to be murderous than, say, the mind’s Ideals or the Solar Plexus’s or Belly’s Emotions, so Deprogramming to the Heart’s Knowing is not in general anti-social.  

The mind doesn’t know that everyone’s Heart’s Knowing is different from everyone else’s.  The Heart does Know this, and accepts it Fully.  “Don’t bother me with the Facts” is completely legitimate when it’s the Heart that’s speaking.  When it’s the mind’s Ideology that’s speaking, it’s rhetoric and propaganda.

All this is a long way of saying that the emphasis in a Yin Gate is on the green Xes, and the green lines represent Curiosity, hopefully Perpetual Curiosity.  Perpetual Curiosity is Yin (Magnetic); Understanding is Yang (Dynamic).  An important facet of Perpetual Curiosity is Paradox – the Yin side of Contradiction.  The mind is Dualistic; the Universe is Multifarious and Unitary.  Dualistic Either/Ors Limit us; Multifarious Both/Ands Expand us.

So the mind has to be retrained to simultaneously accept what appear to be Mutually Contradictory ideas or Emotions.  We sometimes refer to this as “Cognitive Dissonance,” after Castaneda, but the term is sometimes used differently by others.  For instance, can your Attention be simultaneously within your Body and outside of your Body?  Attention is the scarcest “commodity” we have; if we can retrain our Attention to be Multifarious, we’ll be Living much more fully, living more Multidimensionally.

That’s our Objective, to be as Present as we can, to as much of Reality as we can, as much of the Time as we can.

This is important because only the “Right” brain can access Perpetual Curiosity.  While we could use any of the PIAVA techniques to address one of the green lines in the Yin Gate, we often use Wonder.  

In astrologese the green lines are called “Quincunxes” – an “Unx” is one twelfth, and “Quin” means five – so we’re looking at an Angular relationship between planets where one planet is five twelfths of the way ’round the Zodiac from the other planet.  (We often use this type and indentation for technical astrological notes.)

In the particular Yin Gate that Blesses us as we speak here in early December 2016, the four green lines connect…

• (1) Lilith (Self-Sovereignty) to Chaos (Unlimited Potential) – the format is “planet (meaning)”.

• (2) Haumea (Rebirth) to Sedna (Embracing Fear).

• (3) Ixion-Pholus (Recovering our Abandoned Genius) to Sedna (Embracing Fear).

• (4) Lilith (Self-Sovereignty) to Uranus-Eris-Ceres-Mnemosyne (Memories of Deviation from, or Rejection of, our True Self).

So the way this Yin Gate Mystery School game is played, you can assign a PIAVA of your Choosing to each of the four green lines, assembling your PIAVAs using as building blocks the meanings of the planets (given above in parens) and relevance to your own Life at the moment.  For instance, I might Choose…

• (1) “I Wonder what Potential Surprising new ways I will Create or be Given, to Survive and Thrive in the face of Cultural Collapse, when I am more fully Deprogrammed.”  (ie, Self-Sovereign, rather than being Driven by Unconscious Programming.)

• (2) “God, Goddess, Creator of All That Is, I Command that my Ego be Gently revamped so that my first Instinct is to Embrace Fear Lovingly, Breathing into it.  It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done…  Thank You, God/Goddess…  Show me…”   (This is a specific Ritual format; see https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2015/11/02/piavac/ .  By Ritual, I simply mean that there’s Power in Repetition; I don’t mean that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to do it.  The Ritual portions are in purple.)

• (3) “Ganeshi, please Remove All Obstacles to a  Loving and Gentle introduction to the Fears that Restrain my Unique Creative Genius, and please Remove All Obstacles to my Lovingly and Gently Embracing those Fears and Liberating my Brilliance, Gorgeousness, Talents, and Fabulosity.  Thank you, Ganeshi!”  (Another Ritual form, less structured than the first; see https://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/17297.Marianne_Williamson .)

• (4) “Great Spirit, please Lovingly and Gently and Rapidly and Completely grant me the Self-Sovereignty to Let Go of of Self-Sabotage and Fully and Permanently Embrace my True Self.” (Here I’ve put the adverbly clause in purple to emphasize it, because it’s a very useful addition to most PIAVAs, in an attempt to reduce or eliminate the “Healing Crisis” or Ego’s Resistance to Change, without hampering the Request.  We’re courting Ego Death here, and the Organism has a very deep Drive to Survive; the Ego’s job is to keep the Soul’s Physical Vehicle Alive, and it Reacts Vigorously to threats!)

 There are a couple of ancillary “Rituals” or suggested additions to the PIAVA process.  The process is designed to Trigger the Intuition and Soul-Connection, so to use it we have to get the mind and its Birdcage of Understanding out of the way.  To do that we “Change the Subject,” or do our best to forget that (and what) we just PIAVAed.  

Test this with your lost car-keys or anything else that you’ve misplaced or that has gone Walkabout.  If you “look everywhere” for them and can’t find them, PIAVA to find them.  When you Change the Subject, you’re very likely to “happen upon them” in a place where you never would have “thought” to look.

Yesterday for instance when I came in from Gardening I noticed that my new clippers weren’t where I have become accustomed to putting them.  I often set a tool down in the Garden and then forget to return for it.  So I checked the other places I may have put it, then retraced my paths through the Garden as best I could remember.  No clippers.  So finally I asked Ganeshi to “Remove All Obstacles” to finding my clippers.  Almost immediately I had a clear picture in my mind’s eye of the clippers slipping to the bottom of the box that I was putting my harvested Nettles into.  Clippers found, Soup delicious.

The general observation is that when we have no Unconscious blocks to a Manifestation, the Universe will Respond directly to a PIAVA.  When we do have Unconscious blocks, or Conflicting Goals, the Universe will show us the blocks instead.  It uses the Fisherperson example – give someone a Fish, and they’ll eat; teach someone how to Fish, and they’ll sit around in the boat drinking beer all afternoon, then maybe they’ll get to eat, if the ballgame didn’t scare away the fish.

So the third part of the PIAVA process is, after a suitable hiatus, “Paying Attention.”  If we haven’t directly Manifested what we PIAVAed, or gotten some useful information about it, within a day or two, we want to review what we PIAVAed while we Ask what occurred, between the PIAVA and the review, that was Unusual or Unexpected.  That will be a clue to our block or Conflicting Goal(s).  Since the blocks and Goals are likely to be Unconscious, the clue will probably be in the form of a riddle or a funhouse mirror, a role reversal, or another befuddlement.

So we may have to PIAVA that we come to Understand the relationship between the original PIAVA and the Unusual or Unexpected Event.  For instance, suppose you PIAVAed World Peace and Equal Rights, and the next day your fellow countrypersons elected a Misogynist and Racist to be your Fearsome Leader.  “Great Spirit, what the heck does that say about the sort of Self-Sabotages the Unconscious might be perpetrating to World Peace and Equal Rights?”
