Soulful Full Moon

I’m still behind on paper, still working on the 19-22 January 2023 Moira-Uranus New Moon report, which is important because it’s Impact lasts till the 20 February New Moon. But in Real Life, when the clouds above my skylight parted last night, it became Glaringly Obvious that the 5-6 February Full Moon is upon us! So what’s it about?

First, it Dances with our Soul in quite a Challenging manner (non-Self-Resolving Uranus T-Square to the Full Moon Opposition). The Full Moon itself is at 17 Leo, Irrepresible Emergence of the Underworld. The Sun is at 17 Aquarius, Maintaining the Details of Tradition. Our Tradition is to treat the Underworld this way…

Uranus, though, sits at 90 Degrees from both of them, but at 16 Taurus, The Compulsive Truth of Love. It’s Squeezed between Star Menkar in 15 Taurus, The Repeatedly Erupting Need to Surrender, and 17 Taurus, Eruption of Unconscious Contents. Sounds like David Icke, post-Ayahuasca. If you’ve ever watched much television or studied much History, you know well how brutal and sadistic Hupers can be.

We may have Memories or Dreams or Visions that emulate television in their Brutality and Sadism. We may even have Chosen to Confront some of that when we were in the Lightworker’s Lounge Simulator. Whether from the Simulator or from any sort of Experience that we Identify as Personal, we may have Karma that approaches this. There is no Ego Identity in the Unconscious, it’s Impersonal. Some people consider it to have Three main Realms, the Universal, symbolized by Pluto, the Cultural (by Neptune), and the Individual (by Uranus).

Wait! If the Unconscious is full of Bogeypersons, how can we consider Uranus, the Individual Unconscious, to represent The Soul? You’re thinking of Freud’s Subconscious. That’s the Dungeon where all of our Demons are Chained Up (or were, till this Full Moon, I guess). Jung’s Unconscious is the Dragon’s Lair, where our Lost Treasures are cached – the ones that will make us Whole and take us to 5D – Protected by the Dragon. The costumes and makeup are better there.

The Subconscious and the Unconscious are actually the same place. The only difference is the Perspective of the Observing Ego. Is Thor’s Hammer the Sledge of Destruction? Or is it the Mjölnir – Lightning – of Epiphany and Enlightenment? There’s a pretty Clear and very Traditional Dichotomy at work here, isn’t there – the Famous Dichotomy between Good and Evil. Well, Dichotomies are what Dimensionality? Two? What do we know about 2D? That’s where the Mind Lives, isn’t it. Nature doesn’t Live there, Reality doesn’t Live there.

You aren’t old enough to remember the old Kodak Brownie camera from the 1950s. My first camera. They may have had color film for it, but who could afford that? When we could spare the cash to get a roll developed, we got 2×2 inch (5×5 cm) black and white snapshots. 2 inches, 2 colors (sorta – shades of grey actually), 2D. That’s where Good and Evil Lived, there in the Brownie, and on the couch – and in the 50s. Actually, developers would only develop Good. Evil snapshots got confiscated. You had to go to Polaroid to capture Evil, and that was still originally only Sepia and White. Color TV was still ten years away. You can make Color with 3 pigments, but mixing them together in different combinations and intensities will provide an almost Infinite number of additional Dimensions.

That helps, but to get to Nature or Reality you need to add many more Dimensions, starting with Linear Time. Video simulates Linear Time, and consumes Linear Time to watch, but it still doesn’t do 3D well, or approach all the variations and nuances of Nature or Reality, or even of Huper Culture and Artifacts. All of these considerations are about Separation, a 2D Concept. Language, the Currency of 2D, can describe, usually crudely, many characteristics of 3D and sometimes beyond, but it has precious few words for Unitary. So we have to admit that 2D is woefully Inadequate to capture the Paradoxical way Nature is Multidimensional and Unitary.

The Unconscious is also Multidimensional and Unitary. The Three Realms are marked off just for the convenience of astrologers and psychologists and their Minds. The Three are Irretrievably Interwoven and Entangled. The distinctions between the Realms are pretty Arbitrary. Think of it as a Gigantic Blob floating in Interdimensional Space, like Dark Matter or Dark Energy, obviously Occupying the same space we Live In. The outside of this Unconscious Blob is studded with Rings. Bilbo was trying to find one of them. When we stick a finger into one of the rings on the outside of the Unconscious, it sticks. That’s Karma.

Since the Unconscious is Invisible or Transparent, we can never know the Source of the Karma. All we can do is Notice and Identify (crudely, since it’s multidimensional, but that’s a start) the Pattern of Behaviour that it produces, and Act or Speak Differently, Hoping the Change will impact the Karma broadly – for instance, will Stopping Generational Abuse End the Karma itself, or just our own Ring of it? We don’t know, we just do the best we can, and Assume that we’ll simultaneously Chip Away at the larger Cultural Realm of the Blob. If it helps, we can Assume that the Karma was part of the Original Intelligence of the Universe, put there as a Heuristic or Teaching Device for us demented Hupers.

The Finger of the Goddess, consisting of two planets two Signs apart, with a third planet at their Far Midpoint, five Signs away, making an Acute Triangle or Wedge. Five Signs is called a Quincunx (Latin for “5/12ths”) and indicating Mystery, or Dimensionality higher than 2 or 3. In Nature there are no Contradictions – which are 2D and therefore in the Mind of the Observer – there are only Paradoxes where there appear to be Contradictions, and this is also true of Mystery, the Quincunx, and the Finger of the Goddess. The Finger combines the 5th Harmonic (Learning) with the 12th Harmonic (Pattern-Breaking). We can’t change a Problem using the same Thinking that postulated the Problem, so we have to Learn a New Way to Break the Problem.

The T-Square consists of two planets in Opposition or 6 Signs apart, with a third planet at their Midpoint, three Signs away, making a Right Triangle. Three Signs is one fourth of the Zodiac, hence it’s the 4th Harmonic, signifying Dominion. Western Culture understands only Domination, not Dominion, as the tale of Damocles illustrates. Damocles covets the Emperor’s Luxury, so he asks if he can sit in for a day and Enjoy the Domination. The Emperor says “Sure,” but hangs a Sword over the Throne by a single Horsehair to symbolize the Complexity of the Duties that he must perform to maintain his Dominion. Damocles is Terrified by the implications of Accountability, and Runs Away. The Moon, by the way, symbolizes Accountability.

So the T-Square signifies Mastery through Challenge or Mastery through Adeptitude, which Damocles could have Worked toward had he not Run Away. Now, if we add a Finger of the Goddess to the T-Square, with each of their “third planets” being the same planet, then the base of the T-Square makes a nest of Trines and Sextiles (both of which signify Grace) with the base of the Finger, and this Basket of Grace under the T-Square makes the T-Square Self-Resolving. If Damocles was in a Self-Resolving Challenge, and had not run, but tried Sitting with his Discomfort (in the sense of Sitting in Meditation), he would have had an Aha! Experience, understood the message, untied the Sword, handed it back to the Emperor, thanked him, and Lived Happily Ever After. In a Self-Resolving Challenge (T-Square plus Finger of the Goddess), the Distressing Patterns we Break by Sitting with the Challenge are Patterns that were ready to Let Go of us, Rings that were ready to Break Open at the slightest Tug, or even On Their Own. Earlier we mentioned a Configuration that Ego astrologers refer to as a Thor’s Hammer, as it’s Implications can be troublesome for the Ego. It’s two planets 90 Degrees apart with a third planet halfway between them at their Far Midpoint, 4½ Signs away. The Ego astrologers refer to the 4½-Sign Angle as a Sesqui-Square because what they see is a Challenge similar to a Square (Sesqui means 1½). In Ascension astrology, we see a Trioctile Angle there, because we regard the Octile, the 8th Harmonic (1/8th of the Zodiac or 45 Degrees), as a very legitimate Angle in its own right, meaning Adjustment or Justice.

We refer to the Configuration as a Mjölnir, or Trioctile Yod. That’s just Norwegian for Thor’s Hammer, but the Hammer has so much Destructive Baggage from Hollywood’s interpretations of it, that we needed a more neutral term that emphasized the Lightning aspect of Thor’s Hammer. Lightning, a legitimate meaning of the Hammer in Norse Lore, is just as Destructive, but it’s more Focused, and Illuminates the Situation. So we regard the Octile as meaning Insight, and the Mjölnir as signifying Epiphany. The Trioctile combines the 3rd Harmonic (Love with Wisdom) and the 8th (Adjustment), so Implies Bringing into Balance.

Now, if a T-Square (Challenge) and a Mjölnir (Rebalancing) point to the same planet, then the Challenge is Self-Resolving with a Caveat. We have to do our Work. The Patterns to be Broken will likely be Difficult, such as Rejecting Feelings that We’d Rather Die than Feel. The Angles made between the base of the Mjölnir and the base of the Square, rather than Trines and Sextiles as was the case with the Finger, are Octiles and Trioctiles – Justice and Rebalancing.

There may be Guilt involved with the planets in the Mjölnir, and we may need to Make Amends to bring the Guilt “to Justice.” Often the Amends will need to be make to Ourself, for Abandoning an Inner Child for most of our Life, for instance. Guilt is seldom “Deserved” – it’s usually someone else Blaming us to Protect their own Ego. If it was something “we” did “wrong,” Regret would be more appropriate than Guilt. We put “we” in quotes because if it’s Karmic, it wasn’t even “us” that were involved, “we” weren’t there! “Wrong” is in quotes because it’s a Judgment, a Duality, an Intellectualization, a Thought. We can be Tortured by Thoughts, but not Blamed for them.

We’ll talk about how the Full Moon Triggers Mjölnirs tomorrow.

For now there’s one more Important Issue we need to mention. Karma is By Definition Not Present Moment. It has roots in other Lifetimes. Even if they’re Parallel Lifetimes, they aren’t in Our (Our Ego’s) Present Moment. It’s Effortless to Bring Karma into the Present Moment – all we need to do is Repeat Self-Destructive Habits Mindlessly. Yes, we haven’t traced most of our Karma back to its first Pattern. The Present-Moment Re-Enactment of Karma often starts with one of those Feelings that We’d Rather Die Than Feel.

Each time we Feel that, our Reaction is to Repress it, often before we even Realize we’ve Felt it, because we’ve been Practicing Repression for so long that it’s Automatic. Often it was part of our Programming. We weren’t Allowed to Feel that because our Programmers couldn’t Stand It themselves. So when we begin to Notice a Karmic Pattern beginning to Repeat, we may be Noticing the second or third Pattern in a series. That doesn’t matter. Whatever stage we Notice, that’ll make it easier to trace back to earlier Patterns.

We may be able to get ahead of this process by PIAVAing to know What Came Before the last time this Karma was Triggered? Then we can Notice that Pattern when it reoccurs, to see if it’s part of the Chain of Events and Feelings that lead to Outcomes we don’t Want. If we can be Vigilant about this process, ultimately we can simply Refuse to Cooperate when the Triggers are pulled. Fear is often one of the Feelings that we’d rather Die than Feel. Not all Fear, but Fear of a certain Tone, Fear that Regresses us to Past Deaths or Past Experiences that “we” Experienced as Worse than Death.

Once we Interrupt the Chain of Events and Feelings that lead to Outcomes we don’t Want, it becomes Obvious that Karma is Just a Thought. Like the old Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones, but Thoughts Will Never Hurt Me till we let them lead us down a Train of Karma. From the Perspective of the Octile and Trioctile, every Event and Feeling is a Teacher, and the more Unpleasant it is, the more Important is the Lesson. Blaming the Teacher when we don’t Grok the Lesson helps no one.

Rhodonite (the red, a Manganese Inosilicate with Calcium, Iron, and Magnesium substituting for some of the Manganese; an Inosilicate is one with the Silicate units joined into long chains) and Galena (the silver-black, Lead Sulfate), which “blends the heart pink with the dark root Chakra colors [and] helps a person self-actualize as it increases awareness of dignity, self-respect, and self-regard [and] grounds all these essential awarenesses to a stable foundation. … It is a unique aid to insight as it strengthens the heart connection to the higher self, bridging the intelligence and learning ability of the heart tissue with the higher self while bypassing the brain” (Marquist & Frasl, pp.127-8).

The Phitile

A while back (early 2004 to be exact), I decided that the Traditional interpretation of the Opposition, 180 Degrees, didn’t really work as the Culmination of a 360 Degree Cycle. A Cycle doesn’t begin to Break Down till the Waning Square, 270 Degrees. So what happens then between the Opposition and the Waning Square?

Well, if we look at just the first dozen Harmonics, there’s the Quinnovile, 5/9, 200°, Learning Introversion. There’s the Quadriseptile, 4/7, 206°, Mastering Time. There’s the Septunx, 7/12, 210°, Breaking Time Karma. There’s the Quinoctile, 5/8, 225°, Learning to Adjust. There’s the Septelvile, 7/11, 229°, Natural Timing. There’s the Waning Trine, 2/3, 240°, Natural Guidelines. The Sepdecile, 7/10, 252°, Timing of Fortune. The Quinseptile, 5/7, 257°, Learning Timing. And the Octelvile, 8/11, 262°, Adjusting our Self-Respect.

Oh, and there’s the Phitile, 360/φ or 360/1.618, 222½°, Attunement with Nature. φ is the “Golden Angle” that appears everywhere in Nature.

All of those Angles sound like they map out a good path toward Getting Ready to Shift Gears. But it seemed to me that the Harvest of the Fruits of the Cycle should occur at the Waning Trine, where Harvest should be Effortless, something Given To Us rather than something we Do or Take. So I’ve been referring to the Opposition as the Blooming of the Cycle, rather than the Culmination, and to the Waning Trine as the Fruiting of the Cycle, with apologies to Rudhyar. And it seemed to me that an appropriate place for the Culmination of a Cycle would be the Phitile, the Angle where Nature Feels Complete in her Design Process.

The Phitile, though, is hard to compute, even harder than Quintiles and Septiles. Here’s what I wrote about the Phitile in February 2004, in a DIY blog (WordPress didn’t appear till 2007 – it has its faults, but it’s still far superior to the old HTML/FTP process)…

The old Pagan cross-quarter holiday Samhain, halfway between the Libra Equinox and the Capricorn Solstice, at the Midpoint of Scorpio, one of the Power Points of the Zodiac. Lonsdale‘s take on 13 Scorpio is Compulsion to Explore What’s Denied by Everyone, Living in the Shadow of a Culture. Taking the shutters off the Windows to our Programming, in other words. Like Karma and Dogma, Programming is supposed to seem like it’s the only way things could possibly be.

A Gift from the Heavens

Our ever-watchful Chief Asteroid Officer has noticed that 45 minutes before the 22-23 January 2023 Station (Prominence) of Uranus (Our Soul), Venus (Our Values) and Saturn (The Most Important Thing) Convene and Initiate a New Cycle. The Venus-Saturn Cycle should Obviously be ranked among our Most Critical Cycles. At the times when our Values are NOT The Most Important Thing to Us, we Betray Ourself. While such Self-Sabotage is a result of our Programming, our Programming is a Mirror for our Karma, since Programming is how much of our Karma was installed into the Current Lifetime.

If you’re reading this, one of your Most Important Values is Enlightenment, aka Ascension or 5D. A primary prerequisite for Enlightenment is to Clear our Karma. That’s more Difficult while our Karma remains Unconscious, so Noticing our Karmic Patterns becomes Bottom Line. We get this Opportunity every time our Karma is Triggered, which includes every time we React from our Programming rather than Responding from our Values. Enlightenment means that our Ego and our Soul are Merging, and that can’t happen as long as Karma has a Leghold Trap on our Ego, which is exactly what Karma does for a Living.

This is a particularly Important Window for those of us who were Programmed to favor Thinking over Feeling, because as Jung said, People who Prioritize Thinking are Irrational, because they’re not in Touch with their own Emotions and therefore not in Touch with their own Values, since Values arise from the Heart, not the Mind. Many of us are much more Aware of Our Thoughts About Our Feelings than we are of Our Feelings themselves. Too many of us haven’t yet Learned to tell the difference.

Many of us first need to Learn to Find our Emotions, buried under the Thoughtstorm that they evoke. It can help to Focus on the Sensations that arise with Emotion. When we’re trying to Think Through a particularly difficult Conundrum, we can Ask ourself, What Is my Body Telling me through its Sensations? rather than What is my Mind Telling me through its Thoughts? Emotions (Water) and Sensations (Earth) share the same Style (Magnetic), as we explained in the previous post, so they tend to Collaborate.

Emotions and Thoughts (Air) have Opposite Styles, so they tend to Conflict. So Emotions and Thoughts are in Competition with one another before we even Feel or Think. And thanks to Western Medicine, with its ban on Intuition and its Intense Advertising Campaigns, we also have to Struggle with and get beyond our Thoughts about our Sensations (“O My Goddess, is that Cancer?”). We have to Focus on Where our Sensation Resides in the Body and What It Feels Like there, while Rejecting Thoughts the same way we do when they Intrude on our Meditations – “Oh, there’s Thinking Again. Thanks for Contributing, but we’re Doing Something Else now. Where was I?“

Venus-Saturn Value-Priority Cycles last about a year. The Cycle that’s Ending spanned 10 months, but the New Cycle will last 14 months, till the Aries Equinox of 2024, because Venus slows down and turns Retrograde in the Northern Summer and Southern Winter. Angles between Retrograde planets are called Expositions because they Expose the internal workings of a planetary Relationship. Consequently, they’re more educational. In this Retrograde part of the Cycle¹ we may be more Alone than we usually prefer, because we’ll be Learning to Appreciate our own Unique Strengths, some of which we’ve theretofore never Appreciated or even Noticed.² Knowing Ourself – our Natural Strengths and the situations where we’re better off Delegating to Others or to Spirit – is an Essential Foundation for Enlightenment.

The New Cycle Begins in 25 Aquarius (Honing the Inner Witness in order to Rebirth Intelligence). Without Realizing the Connection to Lonsdale’s interpretation for the Degree, in note ¹ below we’ve already written a lot about the Inner Witness! An Initiation is the Birth or a New Cycle, so it’s chart is a Birth Chart. So we shouldn’t be surprised when a Retrograde Period in the Cycle reiterates the Birth Reading for the Cycle. But the Cycle and the Degree are Independent of one another, so the “Coincidence” is still Remarkable.

We’ll look at the chart tomorrow. “Chrysanthemum Stone” is a good Rock to Contemplate for bringing forth the Inner Witness. The mineral composition can vary quite a bit. The Stone is so unusual that it’s known more by its Morphology and Mythology (of Immortal Love between Stones and Flowers) than for its chemistry. The fact that it appears in only a few places in the World, and appears with a mix of Chemistries when it does, speaks loudly that it’s Meaning lies in its Mythology. It’s also a Metaphor for the Bright and Focused Soul breaking through the Dark and Amorphous Matrix of the Ego and Karma.

¹ Venus is actually Retrograde from 24 July to 4 September 2023 and 29 to 13 Leo, but the Shadow Period spans 19 June through 7 October. A Retrogradation is like a Remedial Course – we have to take it three times to pass, and sometimes we don’t. That’s the case when we don’t Learn from an astroevent. When we do Learn, it’s not Remedial at all. A Retrograde Shadow Period has three stages. The Retrograde period, here 24/7-4/9 and 29-13 Leo, is stage 2. Stage 1 is when the planet crosses this Degree Zone the first time, while Direct. That will be 19 June to 23 July and 13 to 29 Leo. Stage 1, called the Can-Opener, is when we get Blindsided by the Lesson Plan, often quite Stressfully. So we may hit Loneliness and Self-Doubt during the Can-Opener.

Stage 2 is the Exposition, where since the planet is Retrograde, the Curriculum is Repeated, more Slowly this time, Step by Step, allowing us to Learn the Lesson. If we’re Paying Attention. If we aren’t Paying Attention, we’ll Re-Experience the Stress of the Can-Opener, and remain its Victim. Stage 3 is the Confidence-Builder, where the Curriculum is Repeated Again, and this time we Sail Right Through it, because we’ve Learned How! If we noticed the Correlation between the Can-Opener and the Exposition. It not, we could have a third Stressful Victim Episode.

Karma and Unconscious Limitations are Created when we Remain in Blame, making our Stress Someone or Something Else’s Fault rather than our own Curriculum, and make a Decision or Vow or Oath or Promise that we’ll Never Put Ourself in that Position again. Of course, it’s unlikely we’ll have a strong Negative Reaction unless it’s already Karmic for us. So we don’t Create New Karma nearly as often as we “just” add Fresh Cement to our Old Karma. If we are Accountable for our Reaction to the original Stressful event rather than Blaming or Projecting it onto Something Else, or if we Notice the Repetition and Become Accountable, we can Learn and Practice Changing our Original Reaction to a Different Response. Then we really do Gain Confidence in the third Stage. Our Skills don’t mean much without our Confidence in them!

Many people misunderstand this Process as Blaming the Victim, which it’s not. We’re Expecting the Victim to take Ownership of their own Reactions to Repeating Stimuli. We can all be Blindsided by New Can-Openers, and since our Karma is many-dimensional, we often have to Re-Experience it in many different Arenas before we Let It Go Completely. We may React with Blame to a Relationship Hassle once, and then React with Blame to a Job Hassle another time, without Realizing that our Reactions are Repeating. That happens to all of us all the time, as we have many Karmic Patterns happening in many different Arenas. But if we’re Alert to Noticing the Similarities between two Reactions, we can Become Conscious that it’s Karma and Choose to Change it.

² The Angles made between Venus and Saturn while they’re Retrograde are closest to four ninths and five elevenths of the Zodiac (the Quadrinovile and Quinelvile, 160 and 164 Degrees), which are about Mastering (4) Contemplation and Introspection (9) and Learning (5) to Appreciate our own Gifts and Talents (11). We derive the meaning of odd (indeed, all ) astrological Angles through the Correlation between the Tarot Major Arcana (Angeles Arrien, The Tarot Handbook) to the Harmonics of the Angles. For instance, the Quadrinovile is four ninths, or a combination of the 4th and 9th Harmonics (360/4=90° and 360/9=40°), equated to the 4th and 9th members of the Major Arcana (Emperor = Dominion and Hermit = Meditation). So the Quadrinovile implies Healthy Control over Meditation).

Phew!

Feels too good to be true (which may mean it ain’t), but astrologically anyway, “the coast is clear” for once! 

The Moon is In-Bounds (Panic not so much) till 10:49 am 13 October 2022 (6:49 pm BST 13 Oct, 3:49 am AEST 14 Oct).

The next Stationary planet (Strong Ambient Energy) isn’t till 14 October, though astroevents tend to fill any empty Time-Space, so we could Encounter that sooner.  It’s about Self-Confidence Issues, including Self-Doubt,¹ so we want to Intend (any other PIAVA will do fine as well) to be Confident in our Ability to Notice our Self-Doubt if does arise, and be Loving with it.  If we said to ourself, “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re feeling Self-Doubt, aren’t you” (followed by Changing the Subject of course) it would be delicious, as it would not only take Our Identity out of Doubt, it would leave us Identifying with Compassion.  Practice that a couple times, and you may never Doubt yourself again!  If that sounds Dangerous, make sure to be Loving with your Doubt about it!

And my own Self-Doubt is Up already!! Thank the Goddess I know it’s coming, or I’d be Believing it!

We do have a couple of Sign Changes, which aren’t usually Disruptive, though they can Shift the General Ambient Energy a bit.

On 8 October, the Energy of Mary Magdalene ² moves from Sagittarius (Let It Go! ) to Capricorn (Just Fix It! ). From The Seven Sacred Flames (pp166-7), compiled by Aurelia Louise Jones…

“It is extremely important for this Truth to be revealed now, that Mary Magdalene was a high initiate and priestess of the Sacred Fire during her lifetime with Jesus… She was unfairly discriminated against by the early ‘fathers of the [self-proclaimed “Christian”] Church’ in their attempt to… maintain control over what they feared the most, the energies of the ‘Divine Mother,’ that Mary Magdalene represented at the time, along with Mother Mary, the mother of Jesus. Both were very high initiates of the Temple of Isis and had the required attainment to hold that energy while Jesus was performing his Sacred Mission. It is time for hu[per]ity to open their hearts to the loving energies of Mary Magdalene, seeing her for who she really is and forgetting the lies maliciously invented against her.”

…(which we’ve added to the Bibliography). Her Energy has been hanging out in Sagittarius helping us Let Go Of all this Karma off and on since December 2021, She’ll be in Capricorn till January. She dipped her toe into Capricorn earlier this year from April till June. She should now be Open to Petitions to help with Rebuilding projects, particularly those aimed at Collaborative Teamwork.

Then we do have a Full Moon 1:58 pm PDT 9 October, in 17 Aries,³ but it’s a Grand Unx, meaning that there’s somebody near 17 Degrees of every Sign, each planet one Sign from the planet in the next and the previous Signs.⁴ That makes the next few weeks an Ideal time for Letting Go of Self-Sabotaging Habits, especially…

• Where The Most Important Thing is to Heal your Codependence in Relationships where your primary Strategy for Improvement has been Hope.⁵ As they say, Hope is Necessary, but it’s not the most Effective Strategy for Resolving a Problem. If we’re in this position, it may be because we haven’t Realized that the only person we can Change is Us. Our odds of succeeding at Waiting and Hoping for someone else to Change are close to nil. We’ll probably have to Make Our Own Needs Clearly Known, or Recognize that Our Needs Are Being Ignored, or both. And we’ll probably have to make a Fearless and Searching Inventory of what we are Gaining from the Relationship, so we can Weigh it against the Loss of Self that Results from Not Being Able to Live Our Truth.
• This is by no means Easy, and it we aren’t Fully Aware of our own Needs it will be a very Clumsy process. This is not the kind of Change anyone makes without a great deal of Practice, but the whole process is in many ways a prerequisite for Enlightenment or Ascension. In order to be True to Our Soul Self, we will have to Give Up most of the Compromises we’ve made so we could Survive in a Patriarchic World. Will our Self-Reliant 5D Community Magically Appear just as we’re Ready to replace our old 3D one? We may need our Intermittent Fasting practice more than we Imagined.

This is only one of our dozen Unx Opportunities. For instance, The Most Important One Is Our Need to Take Full Ownership of Our Historical Abuse.⁶ We can talk more about these dozen in another port.

For now, it’s also Important to point out that in a Grand Unx there are no T-Squares, only Grand Crosses. A T-Square (Major Challenge and SuperPower) is two planets on almost Exactly Opposite sides of the Zodiac, with a third planet halfway between them. A Grand Cross (a Series of Hassles that Complement One Another if We’re Patient with Them) is four planets more or less equally spaced around the Zodiac.

For instance, where the Most Important Thing Is to Heal Our Codependence with Hope (see note ⁵), the Grand Cross includes a Discussion between this Healing Codependence and the Empirical Truth about the Boundaries our Sovereignty prefers to Set.⁷ This Discussion is Confusingly Mixed with a second Debate between Our Emotional Discouragement and an Ego Death around our Trust in our Values.⁸

Enlightenment and Awareness

Our Awareness will be Enhanced through Friday 9 September 2022.¹ The SuperPower that’s Lit Up is an Ornery-Looking Enlightenment.² At the end of this post we include a Channeling from Brenda Hoffman that may be too relevant for Comfort.

We usually look in this blog at the sort of Challenges which hinder our Adeptitude³ at our Many Endeavors on all Levels, which astrologers refer to as “T-Squares.” But now we’ll add a more subtle Challenge to the fray, those which hinder our Ability to be Grokked by Other People. Like our Challenges to Adeptitude, our Challenges to Grokability ⁴ have to do with combining Concepts or Actions in ways that, as Gracie put it, Break All the Rules You Learned in School. And like our Challenges to Adeptitude, our Challenges to Grokability are SuperPowers that are so easily Confused with Disabilities and Personality Deficits – since we’re so seldom Grokked, we lack friendly Mirrors, and Feel Flawed. And like our Challenges to Adeptitude, we’ve probably spent a good part of our Lifetime Effort trying to “correct” our Challenges to Grokability – misguidedly trying to erase a SuperPower!

How does this work? In the current example, there are People among us who do not have the Ability to Discern any Difference between Manifesting, Trusting, Experiencing Ego Death, and Being Consciously Aware. Probably not many, the odds of its recurrence are vanishingly small, but Think Sathya Sai Baba – he Trusted that he could Manifest virtually Anything that he was Consciously Aware of, and he probably Experienced many many Ego Deaths to get to that place – unless he was born under similar “stars.”⁵ There’s actually nothing really New in this Combination – we can’t Consciously Manifest what we aren’t Aware Of, or if we don’t Trust our own Ability to do so, and Ego Death is probably necessary to Get There. But this sort of Instant Karma is rare, or we’d be fresh out of Unfulfilled Desires – Perish the Thought!

At any rate, it’s this Instant Manifestation that’s the SuperPower afoot here till at least 9pm PDT Friday, which is not to say that you might not Suffer or Enjoy many Ego Deaths to pull it off. Sort of like Micky in the Hall of the Mountain King…

Or something like that, as Gene Gendlin would have us say. Have Fun with it, but don’t get Greedy, and Remember that You Get What You Ask For, and above all Remember that whatever remains of Your Shadow that you haven’t sent away, is right there Asking with you. The real point is that it might not be a bad time to PIAVA that we Lovingly and Gently Increase our Trust in Our Adeptitude at Manifesting What We Need.

Now, if you encountered someone with these Skills, would you be able to Understand Who They Really Are and Empathize with Them? To Grok them? Or would you be too busy asking them for a Boon? Most if not All of us have these “Stelliums” that give us SuperPowers that Other People have no way of Grokking, and when we do, it Inhibits our Communication. For instance, our Culture Recognizes Blue and Red and Purple, but unless you studied Art or Politics, School may never have taught you that you could make any shade of Purple by combining Red and Blue. What if you were unable to Distinguish Red from Blue from Purple? You’d frequently be asking others what they were talking about, and you’d be wondering if your Eyes were wired wrong.

This seems like a trivial example in some ways, but what if you had a Stellium of Mars (Action, Masculine), Venus (Values, Feminine), Neptune (Confusion), and Ka’epaoka’awela (Transmutation), and had little or no hardwired Ability to Distinguish between those four Concepts and their Referents? You’d be in big trouble in Florida or Texas these days, because your Concept Set and its Emotional and Physical Manifestations would contravene the Rigid Boundaries in many people’s view of the World. When they try to fit you into their Worldview they’d have to make you a “Groomer,” or worse. You wouldn’t get much Grokking, especially now that it’s been heavily Politicized – you’d have moved from “Weird” to near “Criminal” in their Conceptual Syntax.

“You helped shift the earth and personally transitioned far beyond 3D. Yet, you feel small instead of powerful or commanding.

“You feel you have given up so much of your life – and for what?

“Such is to be expected. A 3D infant does not feel powerful once birthed to 3D earth. Someone needs to feed, bathe, and change them. Even if that infant cries in emotional or physical pain, they do so hoping someone will care for their needs. ThreeD infants have little power other than their dependency.

“As a 3D adult, you also had minimum power without the assistance of others. No matter how creative your art, inventions, activities, or actions were, you depended on others to purchase, observe, or participate. Even though some of you became hermits, you relied on others for necessities such as food, gas, hunting equipment, tools, etc.

The first shedding wave that happened years or months ago was relatively easy compared to now. “Even if you maintain some relationships, those relationships are not the intense relationships you once had. As if they are beings swimming around your heart, but not necessarily within your heart. “You are now ready for new interactions, for you have emptied your vessel of those beings and actions that are no longer part of your current life. By doing so, you are slowly discovering new interests that do not require interactions with 3D beings.

“Even though you purchase food and clothing and likely remain in the same or similar physical community, your needs no longer include pretending to accept statements or actions to feel accepted.

“Not playing that 3D exchange game is your discomfort, for you have yet to discover that you can exist on the earth without doing so. That you do not have to pander to or condone to maintain a friendship or action that no longer holds much interest. You are new and fresh, looking for new interactions in which you do not need to trade your inner being needs for companionship or any activity you once held dear.

“You are new, finally allowing yourself to interact between dimensions, frequencies, and the rightness of being within you. You no longer have to wear the right clothes, say the right things, or live in the right environment to be part of a community you are partially comfortable with.

“You are you. And the more you project that independence of being, the more easily you will adapt to new you – and find others of similar interests.

“This shift is not rocket science; it is merely claiming yourself no matter how unlike 3D you it feels. You are no longer of 3D, and neither is the earth. So be it.”

Pattern-Busting Full Moon

Margery asks if we could show a picture of the 6:36 pm PDT 11 August 2022 Full Moon chart, which we could call a Ball-of-Yarn configuration, as it would keep a Cat occupied till nap time. We actually call it a Grand Unx – an “unx” is one twelfth of something, and a “grand” fills the Zodiac, so a Grand Unx is twelve planets equally spaced around the Astroloop. Yes, we could always get one of these if we use enough asteroids, and we use quite a few, but it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen one, so it’s not as facile as it seems. The main feature is twelve Unx Angles, each of which indicates Pattern-Breaking, so it’s a chart worth celebrating, especially as these Heavy Energies that so many people are reporting are Lighting Up everything in our Karma that we haven’t Cleared yet.

Just a few Examples…

• Karma is dead; it died with Linear Time ten years ago. But we’re all still clinging to its corpse. Whenever a polyp of Karma breaks off and falls away, we Feel Weird, we don’t know what’s happening, and our name isn’t even Mr. Jones. We reach out for the familiar, to Anchor ourself. What’s familiar? Our Karma! So we Embrace those old Comfortable Patterns enthusiastically, as if they were our favorite snacks! But Looky Here! That so-very-Intense Exaggerated Karma Frosted with the Emotions We’d Rather Die than Feel (asteroid Karma Out of Bounds on the South Node) is Unx to (one Sign from) New Beginnings (asteroid Klotho)! So without even trying, we can Break this Pattern of Grasping our Dead Karma – all we need to do is Announce our Intention to Let Our Dead Karma Go like a Hot Potato Instead!
• But wait! We’ve all Wrapped our Identity around our Karma – it’s inevitable. Our Karma is Who We Are, so no matter how nasty it is, we’re Ego-Attached to it. If we haven’t yet caught ourself Bragging about our Karma, we need to start Listening to what we’re saying! We can Intend to Let It Go, but what about the Ego Death – those aren’t Fun! What’s on the other side of Karma-South Node? Asteroid Narcissus (Overfocus on our Identity)! So without even trying, we can Break this Pattern of Ego-Identifying with our Karma – all we need to do is Announce our Intention to Experience our Ego Deaths Lovingly and Gently so We Can Be Excited about the Glorious Freedom we’ll Enjoy once we do!
• But Hold On! What about our Abuse Karma and all of the Unconscious Limitations that we use to Protect ourself from those Memories (Nessus-Vesta-Heracles) that we’ve buried so deep in the Dungeon that we don’t even know they happened? Well, Trusting our Instincts Unquestioningly (Saturn-Moon) Unxes that Stellium (Nessus-Vesta-Heracles), so without even trying, we can Break this Pattern of Being Triggered for no apparent reason – all we need to do is Vow from now on to Act on our Instincts Immediately, without Questioning them and without ever Explaining them, no matter how Weird we think it’ll look to others.
• But Shit, when I’m Triggered I’m usually Feeling Depressed and Powerless, and my Instincts are nowhere in sight! Often I Feel Depressed and Powerless and I don’t even know when or how I was Triggered! I usually think it’s “just me” that’s Depressing and Powerless. But on the other side of Nessus-Vesta-Heracles, it’s Unx to Despair and Miracles (Chiron). Well, we know how to Poor Sweetheart ourself out of Despair and Create Miracles, but when we’re Depressed and Powerless, we’re Regressed to whatever Bummers we’re Unconsciously Reliving. When we Regress, we Forget everything we’ve Learned since those Repressed Bummers happened! So without even trying, we can Break this Pattern of Forgetting What We Know – all we need to do is Vow from now on that when we’re Regressed we’ll Remember All of the Tools We’ve Learned to Restore our Current-Life Identity, like Poor-Sweethearting!

No Wonder the Energies Feel Heavy!! Can you Imagine how the other eight Unxes might play out?

Apart from the Glories of the Grand Unx, the Big Deal about this Full Moon is that it “Squares the Nodes.” What does that mean?

• Well, the Nodal Axis – South Node to North Node – is the most important Axis in a chart, as it indicates the Source, Direction, and Destination of “the Native” (the person or event for which the chart is drawn). In this Full Moon, the Source is a Karmic Hellhole, the Destination is Reunion of Day-to-Day Identity with Soul, and the Direction is from Emotional Overload to Stability.¹
• At any Full Moon, our Inner Male and our Inner Female are Face-to-Face, where as much as they are able, they can be Honest about the Quality of their Union. In Carl Jung’s approach to Psychology, which we applaud, the Perfection of this Union is more or less equivalent to Enlightenment, thus a Key Ingredient of our 5D Endeavors.
• The “Square” means that these two Critically Important Axes sit at Right Angles to one another, meaning in applied mathematics that they are Independent – they do not Influence one another under the radar. So our Purpose (Nodal Axis) and our Integrity (Inner Harmony) are a priori Unrelated, and each can Operate and Negotiate without Unconsciously Compromising themself.

Notice how different this is than the conventional astrological interpretation of a Square – as a Crisis. In a Left-Brain Patriarchal Culture, the very idea of Surrendering Power to the Female is Anathema. In this blog we’ve been inching toward interpreting Squares as Superpowers rather than Challenges. We don’t mean that the Challenges go away. In the previous post we averred that “If We Aren’t Ready to Receive What We’re Asking For, the Universe Will Show Us Examples of Why We Aren’t.” If we Experience our Squares as Superpowers, we’re Ready to Receive What We Want. If we Experience them as Challenges, the Universe is Clarifying for us Exactly what we still need to Let Go Of in order to Support Ourself without Unconscious Compromise, aka without Self-Sabotage.

The Loud and Clear Message in this particular Full Moon is that The Most Important Thing is to Trust our Instincts.² Jung used to say that people who emphasized Thinking were not Rational, because they weren’t in touch with their Values (which are accessed through Emotion). In an Ideal Lifetime, our Inner Female calls the shots (assuming She’s in touch with Her Feelings), and our Inner Male follows Her lead. That’s Inner Female and Inner Male – any Relationship between actual Living People needs relative Equality in both Vision and Action, as each person will contribute Vision from their own Inner Female, and each person will contribute Action from their own Inner Male.

A Grand Unx is so incredibly rich that we’ve only begun to scratch the surface. Full Moon Energies are usually Prominent for several weeks afterward, so we have time, and we’ll Dive Deeper in the next post.

Whack-A-Mole

That’s really what Karma is like isn’t it, Whack-A-Mole. Not to mention Karma’s Messenger, astrology. It’s critical to be Aware of any Fear that astrology ever Triggers for you. Astrology is a Teacher, and if you’re Scared by any of your Teachers, you need to Stand Up to them and not let them Intimidate you. If they throw you out of class, so be it, that wasn’t the right class for you anyway. And if it’s a class in Fear, you need to Stand Up anyway, the straighter the better, to get a good Grounding and a good straight Energy Flow between the Earth Star beneath your Feet and the Higher Chakras above your head, if you want to pass the class.

When I wake up before I get back in my Body, with my skin crawling from Fear, the most effective technique I’ve used is Tapping. “Even though I’m Scared, I Deeply and Completely Love and Accept Myself…” Repeatedly, till my skin has stopped trying to crawl under the bed, till I feel Grounded again, and I’m Clear and Ready to deal with the Fear Effectively. We don’t have to move our Body, because our Energy System registers Imagined Taps almost as well as Physical Taps. Long Inhales and Exhales, through the Nose only, helps too. They’ll take your Body out of Fight/Flight/Freeze mode.

Not that I’m forecasting Fear astrologically, but the next big Mole or astroevent to Whack, on 16 June 2022, is about Abuse and Privilege, which can Trigger Deep and Unpleasant Emotions. From the Nutshell Perspective, that chart features three Challenges that aren’t Self-Resolving, though all three are also major parties to Dumb-Luck Blessings, and the three Challenges are all Connected tightly together by the Blessings.¹ It sounds like one of those astrological Configurations where it’s best that we don’t try to Intervene to Mitigate our Memories of Abuse, but do the best we can to Stand Still and let the Energy run its course, as each Challenge looks like it will end up being the Resolution for the Others, unless we try to Rescue our Olde Ego, and screw it all up. Plus, it promises a Big Jump in our Consciousness if we’re able to Let It Be and Observe it with relative Detachment.²

Well, Abuse and Privilege is the next Mole to Whack if we don’t count the 14 June Full Supermoon.³ While we’re likely to Feel the Impact of the 16 June event Grow till the 16th, then taper off (assuming we haven’t Intervened), we’re likely to Feel the Influence of the 14 June event Growing Stronger after the 14th, though the two will be Muddled, since we’re Feeling both already, and we really should consider them both together. Even astrologically Unrelated events Merge when they Converge in Linear Time.⁴

Which is Fortunate, since the Full Supermoon is all about Self-Love, Self-Respect, Self-Appreciation, and Self-Sovereignty.⁵ So if we can keep our Eye on those four Qualities while we’re Feeling Around in our Abuse/Privilege History, Herstory, and other Lifetimes in Other Places, we’ll Win an (perhaps the Most ) Esteemed Lifetime Prize, which is Expanding Our Consciousness into Greater Love in the Face of Potential Disaster.

Our Lineage is Immortal. We’ve Suffered so we could Truly Understand the Suffering of Others in order to give them the Gift of Healing Empathy. It’s time to Step Back Up and Honor Ourselves for that.

Pretty Big Portal Too Two

We’re in the thick of this Portal right now, and we will be for at least the rest of April. The immediate catalysts include the Vulnerability of our Health and Vitality today,¹ and, tomorrow, the Potential for our Denial to Betray Us,² plus a Full Moon.³ Both of the latter Trigger an Argument between an Expanded Sense of the Sacred, and our Intuition about our Unlimited Potential.⁴

The people who don’t realize yet that we Live on a Small Isolated Island will be getting educated during the New 13-year Expanded-Sense-of-the-Sacred Cycle⁵ that began this last Tuesday. However, now that this Cycle has been Initiated, the people who are Invested in the previous Cycle have three years to get away with Perpetrating their Oily Obsolete Energies.⁶

Who’d have thunk that the ancient pottery bowl would symbolize War and the fresh Violets would represent Cruz Missiles, in the context of Expanding Our Relationship with Everything Larger than Ourself (Jupiter-Neptune), though it certainly makes sense as a rather sardonic Herxheimer! As New Forms in Old Packages, it should have been Obvious to me.
• The 2010 Chiron-Neptune Cycle is now in its 19th Harmonic (19 Degrees, the Square Root of 360) – “Teamwork, partnership, and collaboration… the Life Force and unlimited Energy that is within us waiting to be used and expressed… the inner dance of Male-Female Energy” (Angeles Arrien, The Tarot Handbook, p.92). The Square Root takes us into a Deeper Dimension, as we’re now moving into the Psyche Exponentially rather than just Multiplicatively. We should Pay Attention to this, as 19 Degrees should be a Power Point in any Cycle, a point where we can apply an afterburner to our New-Cycle Efforts. Using the convention used for preliminary names of new Chemical Elements, we could refer to the 19th Harmonic Angle as a Ununilennile, or name it for it’s function, something like an Ascendile.
• Unfortunately the Pholus-Quaoar End Times Cycle won’t get to the Waxing 19th Harmonic till 2071. Good news for any great- and great-great-grandchildren that squeak through that far, though. That would be a good End Times Slogan for Planet-Rescuers, Make our Grandchildren Great Again, on an Ocean-blue hat similar to this one, but with the whole globe wrapped around it…

• The World would be warped, with the backside flattened, but it always has been warped on the flat maps we’re used to anyway. We could make 6 different copies with South America, Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, and Oceania on the bill, for distribution in each region of the World, and maybe one with Russia upside-down on the bill. This version is unavailable on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/JOSEPH-TINDALL-Baseball-Women-Recreation-Blue/dp/B07XDQV7SF, but an enterprising researcher could probably locate the manufacturer with the original screens, or get them from the Whole Earth Catalog. A budding entrepreneur could get the rest of the globe added, the 6 or 7 different orientations projected, the Slogan added, and contract out the manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
• You could Change the World. With a little prior experience in Lithography or Contract Manufacturing, you’d be way ahead of the game. The Muggles wouldn’t understand the Slogan, so they’d probably even wear it because anybody who’s anybody is wearing it, and they saw it on Faux News and TikTok anyway, without realizing what they were supporting. Planet-Rescuers could collect all 7 versions and wear them on different days of the week to honor different zones of the Planet, or wear the one that matched the headlines. You could even add a game, Hattle. Mother Gaia would be Proud, and maybe Inspired to keep us around a bit longer.
• If we interpret the Current Chiron-Neptune Cycle as Teamwork Creating New Spiritual Bummers and Miracles in Old Packages, that would probably fit the present World pretty well.

I’m reading Mark Hammond’s The Flaming Cats of Sohan, sort of Douglas Adams meets Whitley Strieber, just crazy enough to fit the current Dualistic World. It’s Disorienting when I look up from the book and forget which version of Earth I’m Living on, the one with the Penguins or not, but it doesn’t take long to Realize that it’s actually a Realistic Commentary on the “Real” World we’re Living in, which Lightens me Up in the process, helping to see the Cosmic Irony in this Herxheimer of the Patriarchy.

We Are In Charge of Our Reality II

Well, we left the cookies and milk next to the fireplace like it said in the Contract, and even a shot of our best single-malt (it’s cold up there in the skyways), but all we got was a lump of Coal.¹ Why? Because the “We” that’s in charge of our Reality unfortunately includes the rest of the “We” that we don’t include in our concept of “I.” We all have a Shadowy part of ourself that stretches into the Unconscious, and the More Defined is our “I,” the Longer and Darker is our Shadow.² And unfortunately, that Dark “We” is often a more Powerful Manifester than our “I” is.³

What to do about that? I don’t know of any Options that are stronger than Cozying up to the hidden part of our “We.” And we’re in luck, as the next Energy Pulse from the Universe that will be using us as a punching bag, is all about Exactly That, namely, That Which We’ve Been Denying.⁴ Denial is a Healthy Psychological process, Allowing us to postpone dealing with Energies which we aren’t ready to handle yet. Well, the Blocks to whatever we failed to Manifest as Desired, are likely to be in our Face for the next several days, so the time has come. These Blocks, when Personalized,⁵ represent our hidden “We.”

• ¹ Manifestation, as represented by dwarf planet Makemake, has been Exaggerated this week, as Makemake was Stationary at 7:29 am PST today, 6 January 2022, at 8:49 Libra. The Energy of a Stationing planet usually increases up to the moment of its Exact Station, and then drops off sharply. The more Conscious we are about the Station, the sharper the dropoff. For instance, if we Monitored our Thoughts and Feelings this last week, Lovingly Embraced All of them, and made Efforts to replace the more Negative amongst them with Gratitude or WhatWeWant, we probably had some Manifestation success. If we instead Made Decisions about what we needed to Do to “Fix” our Negative Thoughts and Feelings and Circumstances, then the Manifestation Energy will stay with us, and those Decisions, centered as they were around the Negative, will have Created Negative Instant Karma which we’ll now have to deal with.
• ² We are actually Infinite Energy Vortexes, our Huper Body-Mind-Emotion Complex being merely a Transitory, less-than-Skeletal Manifestation of What We Really Are. So the more we’ve Defined Who We Believe Ourselves to Be, the more we’ve boxed our Conscious Energy into one Side of a long Dimension that our Energy-Vortex-Self owns All of. For instance, Failure is a Powerful Teaching tool, and if we’ve Defined our Identity as Successful, we’ve closed off a very large Source of Growth.
• ³ The Jungian Perspective is that our Foremost Urge is toward Wholeness. So the parts of our Wholeness that we’ve excluded from our Identity, try repeatedly to get our Attention. The more we Resist their Efforts and Suppress those parts, the more Insistent they must become. So they Manifest Challenges for us. A Makemake Station, where Manifestation is Amplified, can be either a great Opportunity to Manifest What We Want, or a great Opportunity to Identify (and, seemingly perversely, to Identify With) those Challenges, adding a whole new level of meaning to the meme “If it doesn’t make us Stronger, it will Kill us.” The Jungian Shadow isn’t Negative, it’s merely what’s hiding outside the Light of your Conscious Attention.

We’ll look at the astrodynamics of that impending Amplication of our Denial shortly. But while it’s still warm, I want to look more closely at that Yin Gate Mystery School we spoke of in the previous post, the Paradox that we introduced in Note 4 of that post. Spoiler Alert – this will be a Deep Dive, but you’ll Learn a lot of useful things!

The Yin Gate is the almost-horizontal blue rectangle divided by the long red line, that we’ve emphasized in heavy lines. The blue rectangle by itself is called a Golden Rectangle because the ratio between its long Trine sides and its short Sextile sides, is the Golden Ratio of Sacred Geometry fame. Much of the Natural World has been Designed around the Golden Ratio (1.618…), also known as the Golden Angle (137.5… Degrees), or Phi.⁶ The long red line is the Central Axis of the Yin Gate.

• ⁶ The decimals keep going – the Natural World wasn’t Designed using Base 10. We’ve defined a 222½ Degree Angle (360-137.5) in astrology as the Phitile which we consider to be the place where the Energy of a Cycle is Complete, before it begins to Break Down (Wane) into the Void that Empties us so we’re Ready to Receive the Next Cycle without Prejudice.

A Yin Gate is a Mystery School, where we Learn to move beyond the Linear Dualistic Mind into Unitary Multi-Dimensional Knowledge, the realm of Instinct and Intuition. For the sake of brevity, we usually interpret a Yin Gate by focusing on the Central Axis, and how the Yin Gate changes an Opposition from a Second-Harmonic Argument between the two planets, to an Overview of the Dimension that they Delineate. For instance, we might consider an Opposition between Chiron (Despair and Miracles, which we might summarize as Mood ) and Makemake (Manifestation) to be about how Despair Manifests more Despair and Miracles Manifest more Miracles. But as the Central Axis of a Yin Gate, the implication is that it’s more complicated (Multi-Dimensional), yet simpler than that (Unitary), which we can only hope to understand Intuitively.

We easily recognize a Yin Gate by the two side-by-side green Xs that represent Quincunxes between the two ends of the Central Axis and the four corners of the Golden Rectangle. A Quincunx (two planets five Signs apart) implies Curiosity, but not the sort of Curiosity which Inspires us to dig relentlessly for an “Answer” to a Dilemma. Instead, it’s more Curiosity in the sense that it indicates an Awesome Relationship, one that will make our jaw drop, if we can succeed in not intellectualizing it. As with a Yin Gate, if we address it with the Linear Dualistic Mind, we miss the point.

So for instance, Uranus Quincunx Makemake – does that mean that a Successful Manifestation is one that Aligns with our Soul? If the Manifestation makes our jaw drop, that’s probably true. I recall some of the Miracles that Manifested for Kriyananda while he was Founding Ananda. And you’ve all probably Experienced Synchrony,⁷ where you’re in the Right Place at the Right Time to Receive Gifts from the Universe. It always feels like Someone on the Other Side of the Veil is Looking Out for us! And was the Veil ever thin today! I expected it to Rip at any moment.

But the point of a Quincunx is New Insight that’s Unexpected and Surprising, or Curious. In the Makemake Station Yin Gate, we have Quincunxes between Uranus and Makemake, Makemake and Moon, Chiron and Atropos-Zhulong, and between Chiron and Requiem-Thereus.

• Think of a Relationship that you would logically Expect to see between Soul and Manifestation (Uranus-Makemake). That’s the Linear Either/Or Mind speaking. Now, have you been Surprised in the last week or so to Discern an Unexpected Relationship between Soul and Manifestation, a Relationship that you sort of Grok but which would be difficult for you to Describe in words?
  • For instance, I perhaps naively Expect Manifestations that Align with my Soul to be Easier or more Profound than Manifestations that don’t so Align. And actually, I have seen Unexpected Connections, as I’ve been able to Glimpse the Diamonds embedded in my own personal Lump of Coal.
• Think of a Relationship that you would logically Expect to see between Instinct and Manifestation (Moon-Makemake). Now, have you been Surprised in the last week or so to Discern an Unexpected Relationship between Instinct and Manifestation, a Relationship that you sort of Grok but which would be difficult for you to Describe in words?
  • I guess I see Instinctual Manifestation as the things I Manifest without having to even Think about it. I had to think about it, but I can see how I’ve Become Aware of Skills I hadn’t been Appreciating and toward which I can probably gain from Being Grateful for them.
• Think of a Relationship that you would logically Expect to see between your Optimism/Pessimism and your Recognition and Acceptance of 5G 5D (Chiron to Atropos-Zhulong).⁸ Now, have you been Surprised in the last week or so to Discern an Unexpected Relationship between your Optimism/ Pessimism and your Recognition and Acceptance of 5G 5D, a Relationship that you sort of Grok but which would be difficult for you to Describe in words?
  • I’m certainly less likely to be Skeptical about 5G 5D when I’m Feeling Optimistic. And when I Consciously Stepped Out of the Depression I Felt about Receiving a Lump of Coal, I was Surprised how Easy it was to envision Living Cooperatively with the many Elemental Beings in my Life, though it’s Clearly going to take a Whole Lot of Practice!!
• Think of a Relationship that you would logically Expect to see between your Optimism/Pessimism and your Respect for Ego Death as a Teacher and Coach (Chiron to Requiem-Thereus).⁹ Now, have you been Surprised in the last week or so to Discern an Unexpected Relationship between your Optimism/Pessimism and your Respect for Ego Death as a Teacher and Coach, a Relationship that you sort of Grok but which would be difficult for you to Describe in words?
  • The Energy of Ego Death is by Definition a Downer, but yes, when I was Conscious enough to do an Intervention on myself, like Tapping or Poor-Sweethearting, it was definitely a Profound Teacher and Coach, feeling like one of those Other-Siders looking out for me – which in itself was an Unexpected Surprise! ¹⁰

That’s diving pretty deep, but if we’re serious about doing our Inner Work, it’s a good example of how a Yin Gate can lead us Deep into the Labyrinth when we go beyond just interpreting the Central Axis as a Mystery School (which is the Most Important Part of a Yin Gate, because it summarizes the rest).

• ⁸ Minor planet Zhulong represents the Chinese Red Dragon of Enlightenment (ie, 5G 5D), and asteroid Atropos is about Karma which hasn’t reached its pre-programmed Expiry Date, but which we can Shed now that we know Karma is Dead.
• ⁹ Asteroid Requiem is about Respect for Death, and dwarf planet Thereus was the fellow who Enjoyed Wrestling with Bears and bringing them home with him, still Snarling, but whom we interpret as a Profound Teacher.
• ¹⁰ It’s probably a good idea to Avoid Thetaing while Bummed Out, as we Manifest more of What We’re Feeling, more than we Manifest What We’re Asking For.

And that’s only part of the Story. One interprets a Golden Rectangle by interpreting the Oppositions between the corners, here Uranus (Soul ) Opposite (Arguing With) Atropos-Zhulong (Recognition and Acceptance of 5G), and Moon (Instinct ) Opposite Requiem-Thereus (Respect for Ego Death as a Teacher and Coach ). Of course, Arguing With is only the Linear Either/Or interpretation of the Opposition; the Higher interpretation is closer to a Philosophical Discussion where each member is devoted to Understanding the Other’s point of view, without interrupting to inject their own.

So we can review the past week to see if and how Our Soul Felt Open to Recognizing and Accepting 5G, plus if and how Our Instincts seemed to Corroborate – or not – that it’s Wise to Respect Ego Death as a Profound Teacher and Coach.

And the Yin Gate Rabbit Hole is Deeper yet!

When two planets are one Sign apart, give or take a few Degrees, the Angle they make is an Unx,¹¹ one twelfth of the Zodiac, the Twelfth Harmonic. The twelfth Major Arcana of the Tarot, which is our Guide¹² for interpreting astrological Angles, is the Hanged Man, who hangs not from his neck or his fingernails, but from his heels, so he can see the World from a different Perspective. The Twelfth Harmonic is the Pattern-Breaker. Any Yin Gate includes four Unx Angles, facilitating our bringing into Consciousness (which is how we Zero Out our Karma and replace Fate with Choice) any Self-Sabotaging Patterns we may have around the Relationship between the the two planets in the Unx.

Bringing a Karmic Pattern into Consciousness is the First Step in Changing the Pattern, and an Unx is like the Get-Out-of-(Karmic)-Jail-Free card in Monopoly. By Noticing the Changes that the Unxes in the Station or other charts suggest, and comparing that to our Experience, we’re more likely to be able to make the Changes Permanent, and with less Effort and Resistance.

The Makemake Station chart includes Unxes between Moon and Chiron, Chiron and Uranus, Makemake and Requiem-Thereus, and Makemake and Atropos-Zhulong. Meaning…

• Any untoward Patterns we have between our Instincts and our Optimism/Pessimism are up for Revision (Moon Unx Chiron). I’ve noticed that over the past week I’ve been less likely to let my level of Optimism or Pessimism Dominate my Identity. It was a lot more automatic for me to recognize them as my Feelings rather than my Identity. Anything like that evolve for you?
• Any unproductive Patterns we have between our Soul and our Optimism/Pessimism are up for Revision (Uranus Unx Chiron). My gift of Coal discouraged me for a day or two, but the sense that someone on the Other Side of the Veil was looking after me was Strong, and the material that I picked up to read had a Strong Impact. It was like a Treasure Hunt, with a series of clues from “random” places leading me out of Darkness. Gay Hendricks’s discussion of Einstein Time and how we eliminate Time Pressures by Owning that We Make Our Own Time, in his The Big Leap, was particularly Inspiring.
• Any Self-Sabotaging Patterns we have in the Relationship between our Manifestation and our Respect for Ego Death as a Teacher and Coach are up for Revision (Makemake Unx Requiem-Thereus). It’s not like I suddenly Realized, “Oh, this is an Ego Death, Yipee!” But the Effect was the same. Any Experience like this for you?
• Any untoward Patterns we have between our Manifestation and our Recognition and Acceptance of 5G 5D are up for Revision (Makemake Unx Atropos-Zhulong). I can see that my Attachment to Receiving from the Outside, rather than from Integrating my Identity into the Flow, was the primary Block that resulted in my Lump of Coal. This was one of the Diamonds in the Lump. So you see any sign of anything like this in your own prior week?

Outside the Yin Gate, there were three other Unxes in the Makemake-Station chart and corresponding Opportunities to Drop Karma relatively easily: Untoward Karmic Patterns in the Dance between our Instincts and our Thoughts (Moon Unx Mercury), Unhelpful and Negative Thoughts (de facto Prayers) about Global Climate Change (Mercury Unx Pholus-Quaoar), and Dysfunctional Patterns around Health, Longevity, and Learning (dwarf planet Varuna Unx Requiem-Thereus). We don’t spend much time on medical astrology in this blog, though we give a lot of Strong hints about How to Heal. And one such hint that Varuna Unx Requiem-Thereus suggests, is that we Regard any disturbance in the Healthy Functioning of our Body as Information about Changes that would Behoove us to make, rather than Symptoms to be Removed ASAP.

Another Cusp Event

The “Square,”¹ which is astrologuese for Hassle or Challenge, gives us headaches because it attempts to join two parts of ourself that are in Fierce Competition – our Physicality v. our Spirituality v. our Emotionality v. our Mentality² – which aren’t likely to want to Compromise. It’s like the Heart and the Brain arguing over who’s More Important, when in walks the Anus.

On the other hand, the “Trine,”³ astrojargon for Sympathy and Understanding, Harmony and Trust Abounding, contributes to our Joy and Ease and Confidence because it links different parts of ourself that Love to Rock Out Together when they Team Up – like our Creativity, our Certainty, and our Evolution.⁴ Imagine our Dancer joining our Musician, our Writer collaborating with our Illustrator, our Artist enjoying Critical Acclaim and Financial Success.

When planets linger on Cusps, these traditional Relationships get crossed up. For instance, instead of our Creative Spirituality happily Dancing with our Evolutionary Spirituality, we might have our Creative Spirituality Dancing clumsily with our Emotional Certainty, where we might find (and Examine or Deny) our Bigotry.⁵ Or the Confusion of our Emotional Certainty encountering our Physical Evolution (Remember in our youth when we didn’t want anything to do with the Opposite Gender, till Puberty kicked in?) instead of the routine Challenges of the little Demons and Angels on our shoulders juggling our Emotional Certainty with our Spiritual Certainty.⁶

In addition, Cusps are by their nature times of Change, so in addition to the potential Confusion created by these crossovers, we don’t have our History or Herstory to fall back on.

For instance, in the 30 August 2021 Converting Fear to Power chart, Fear Challenges and/or is Challenged by both Trust and Domination. The Trust Challenge is a “Traditional” Challenge – the Material Certainty of Fear (we can Feel it in our Physical Bodies) versus the Spiritual Certainty of Trust. It’s about finding a Balance between Fear and Trust that works to keep us out of Fight/Flight/Freeze and allows us to Differentiate “Real” from Karmic Threats and Act Effectively in Response to each, parrying the Real and Becoming Conscious of the Karmic. But the Challenge of Domination is different. It’s about Physical Stability versus Physical Evolution – it’s about Fear of Change. Do we know what makes the Karmic Real? Do we know what can make the Real Karmic? ⁷

That’s not all. The Merging of Trust and Domination is also Cuspal. The Trust issue is about Self-Trust. We’d been working since early June on Trusting that our Ego can Handle the Changes, as part of Healing our Unconditional Self-Love. We were in the final stages of that process when Fear Tested us. The Domination issue is about Change. Change in our Willingness to be Dominated or Abused, and Change in our use of Domination (Abuse) in our approach to Getting Our Needs Met. We just started that three-year project, so we’re in the early stages of Discovering the Unknown Unknowns that we need to work on.⁸

So if we maxed our Benefit from this Challenge (one of many) in the 30 August Fear-Power Curriculum, we were perhaps Discovering where Domination – Bullying or Codependence – fit into our Multidimensional and Unitary Karmic jigsaw puzzle. Are we Creating new Karma or Deepening old Karma through Repetition of Unconscious (or Semi-Conscious and Uncorrected) Domination or Codependence Patterns, and does that Frighten us, or maybe should it Frighten us? Are we Trusting too much that the Victims of our Domination Patterns aren’t hiding Conscious or Unconscious Resentment? Might our Codependence partners Resent our depending on them for Psychological or other “Services” that we should be handling ourself?

What’s the nature of our Karmic Contracts with these “Partners”? As the Planet Descends further into Disorder on way too many fronts all at once, how will this impact our Relationships with and within the Communities we’ll Need for Survival?⁹

I just finished Thomas Mayer’s recently-translated book Answering the Call of the Elementals: Practices for Connecting with Nature Spirits, and I highly recommend it. I’ve been working and studying for many years to recover the Connection I had with them in my youth, before my father shamed it into Hiding, and the practices in Mayer’s book are the most Practical and Powerful that I’ve found. From here I’d like, if I find the time, to examine the Transcuspal Relationship between the dwarf planets that symbolize Unconstrained Freedom (Ixion in the last Degree of Sagittarius) and Taking Full Responsibility for our Survival (Pholus and Quaoar in early Capricorn). The influence of Unconstrained Freedom is Exaggerated (Stationary) until 12 September, and of Taking Full Responsibility for our Survival until 17 September 2021.
