Fire, Earth & Air 3

Dunno about you, but my PIAVAs for Health and Healing seem to be working!  I’m very glad to have the previous post as a Guide, so I can Recognize the “Healing Crises” and Tap out the Fear before it locks itself into my Cells.  Whether youalls get anything out of these posts or not, they’re often tremendously useful for me!

My initial scan of the second Diamond Star in the 2 November (3pm PDT) Varuna-Station chart, tells me that it’s a Self-Resolving Challenge about how the Intellect isn’t the right tool for Growing our Consciousness.  But as anyone who’s read more than two of these posts knows, that’s a bias of mine from the beginning.  So if that’s all that there is in the Configuration, I won’t be Learning anything from it.  Let’s see if I can Open Up to new Growth like I have from the Uranus Diamond Star…

This second Diamond Star focuses on “OR10,” our shortcut name for the unnamed dwarf planet and Plutoid “2007 OR10” or “225088” – these are identifying conventions used for Minor Planets before they are named. 

I associate OR10 with Intrusive Memories.  It’s been traveling closely with Nessus (Abuse and Privilege), so it’s been a major factor in the #MeToo movement.  These two were within three Degrees off and on between March 2010 and February 2018.  We’re no longer in that phase, but it was recent enough that Abuse Memories may still Intrude, or that Intruding Memories might seem Abusive. 

For instance, today I happened to think about a former colleague who was mildly politically Abusive by claiming that the work of a committee we were both on was “his” work rather than the committee’s.  That was many decades ago, and I don’t think about this event very often.  So is it somehow relevant to my Life today, or just a random interjection?

Hmmm.  Yesterday a friend was Angered by their misinterpretation of an overheard conversation that I had with a third person.  They assumed that what they heard meant that I was exercising Privilege in a way that was Abusive to them, which wasn’t at all the case.  Curious.  In general, Intrusive Memories needn’t be about Abuse.  They could be about Past Glories, for instance.  They probably Relate to the Present Moment somehow, though perhaps through a Funhouse Mirror, as Extrusions from the Unconscious often do.

This OR10 Challenge (T-Square) bestrides the Opposition (Duality) between Mentality (Mercury) and Timeline Duration (Lachesis).  The usual Duality we’d associate with Mentality and Timelines, is whether we’re a Victim of our Timelines, or Choose them ourself.  Or Recognize that we’ve (somehow) Chosen them ourself, if we Accept that Responsibility.

For instance, when my then-colleague stole credit for our committee’s work, it reinforced my Programming that People can’t be Trusted.  I was Victim to that Timeline.  I was thinking today about how much I might need to protect my house from Halloween “Tricks,” and deciding that the people I live among now seem more Community-oriented, and that I should let them prove to me that I need to Protect myself from them.

So while I didn’t make a hard and fast vow, and wasn’t thinking of it as a Timeline, I did today decide to End that Timeline about not Trusting People.  So the seemingly random Memory was probably an invitation to continue Mistrusting.  When I mentioned my Unbidden thought to a friend and explained a little context to them, their Response was “New Yorkers do that” (make Egoic claims), in a sense forgiving my ex-colleague for just Living out their own Programming.

While they’re not within our usual three Degrees of Sensitivity, Mercury is Merged with Jupiter/Expansion (4½ Degrees), and Lachesis is Merged with Juno/the Edges of Consciousness (4 Degrees).  These Connections certainly apply to my Experience with Healing, as I’m Intending to End Self-Sabotaging Timelines by maintaining my Consciousness that they are in fact Self-Sabotaging.  Four-five Degrees is plenty close enough to impact any new Projects we’re starting under this Influence – such as Starting a new Health Regime, or Exploring the possibility of Trusting People. 

Diamond Stars are Self-Resolving Challenges.  The Grace (blue triangles) in this one has to do with the Health Thing (Varuna-North Node) and The Truth About How We Need To Adjust Our Boundaries In Order To Manifest What We Want (Alethia-Pallas-Makemake).  Which pretty much sums up the Story, doesn’t it.

Psyche

Well, the plot thickens again.  After reading an article about how asteroid Psyche, the 16th asteroid discovered, was mostly metal but with water on it, I looked up the asteroid Psyche, to see what she was up to in our Lives.  Lo, she’s sitting right on Orcus and the North Node, and Opposing Neptune.

Psyche’s a very complex figure in Greek Mythology.  She supposedly represents the Heroine’s Journey, but remember, this is Greek Mythology, the story of how the Patriarchy replaces the Matriarchy, subjugating the Feminine.  In most versions of the Story it’s Cupid, or Eros, that Awakens her, as if she couldn’t Awaken on her own without some lad to do it for her.

Asteroid Cupido is just past Pallas (Boundaries), and asteroid Eros is moving towards Saturn, arriving around the 21st or so, a period we’ve already described as very busy.  Psyche’s Two-Spirit counterpart Sappho (Self-Love) crosses Haumea (Rebirth) next week.

In Latin, Psyche’s name is Anima, and in Jung’s view it’s Anima that needs to Awaken in a man’s psyche, not a woman’s.

Cupid was the son of Venus.  He met Psyche when his mom sent him to punish the young lass for being too cute.  No Golden Apples involved, as Psyche, allegedly not having yet been Awakened by Cupid, was too much of a space case, aka Innocent, or Obedient.  Well-behaved, by Patriarchy standards.  Venus of course symbolizes our Values, so here’s a reiteration of our earlier themes of the Life Force overcoming our Shoulds.

In the last few days, Orcus Initiated Psyche at 9 Virgo, a Degree that’s about Self-Expression.  Orcus symbolizes our Vows and their denunciation.  More Life Force overthrowing Moral – intellectual – Conclusions and their Emotional anchors.  The North Node-Psyche Initiation is at 20 Virgo, which is about Cognitive Dissonance.  The NN-Psyche Cycle is about Following our Joy; Cognitive Dissonance is about being Comfortable with Paradox.

“Nature will find its own way through our time of Change in a natural flow.  No intellects to mess it up!  We have a choice.  We can flow with Nature, and with the nature of Change, or we can resist.  It will all play out according to our own personal state of consciousness.

“Without mental or emotional attachments, we can move easily into the new – or by staying attached to our mental and emotional programs, we can stick with more-of-the-same, going nowhere.  The choice will be less intellectual than emotional.  Emotions make the final choices, while the intellect attempts to understand.  

“If we are emotionally free, we will find that our thoughts and actions easily define the newness we are expressing.  If we are emotionally fearful, we will find that we are unable to release the program of our past.  Choice made!”

Rebirth of Genius

We’ve talked many times about our Adventures in 24 Degrees of various Signs, and they’re Lit Up Big Time again today, in addition to our Resistance to The Life Force.  Today we can summarize our 24-Degree Adventures as Rebirth of Genius, as like it or not, our Abandoned Genius is being Called Out.  It should be obvious that our AG is Life-Enhancing, and our Resistance to it is Anti-Life.  But of course our Resistance was Programmed in, and there’s a good chance it’s still  reinforced by our Cultures – or we Believe it does.

The Pattern is basically Positive, but it has its Challenges, especially now.  We’ve been ranting about Yintegrity since 2012, when “the 1960s” began returning in earnest, and we redoubled our efforts earlier this year, when Eris Initiated Uranus.  Lots of folks still interpret Eris as Dischord, but they’re missing the point.  Sure, the Golden Apple she threw into the party was Disruptive, but it was Disruptive solely because the Alpha Goddesses were in Denial about their Vanity and Competition.

Then Ceres came along to join them, demanding that we make our Yintegrity Permanent.  And now Mnemosyne is Dancing with the same Arian location, inviting us (or forcing us) to recall all the Episodes that have caused us to Suppress our Yintegrity in the first place.  

Mnemosyne crosses Eris again 2 November at noon PDT in 23 Aries, a Degree symbolizing flagrant Fecundity.

Then Haumea Opposed Uranus-Eris et al, inviting (or forcing) Rebirth – Asking us to start our Life over with a clean slate as much as we could, with more Yintegrity hanging out.  Of course that means Ego Death, as we have to Give Up all of the Psychic an Social props that were Foundational for our Olde Identity.  That Rebirth is basically still going on, and today we were fitted for diapers.

The asteroid Klotho was Initiated by Haumea today at 11am PDT, in 24 Libra, which Degree symbolizes a Butterfly with a third left wing.  Butterflies are symbols of Regeneration and Transformation anyway, and the third Left wing is an emphasis on the Feminine.  Of the three Fates, Klotho was the one who “cut the cloth,” or wove the tapestry that our Lifetime would Embody.

So if you happened to raise your arms today and felt a new wrap slipping around your shoulders, your Third Eye is working like a charm.  It’s not a coincidence that it’s our shoulders – Should-ers – that hold up our clothes – our Identity.  Probably wouldn’t hurt to strip nekkid, then hold up your arms again while you Imagine your new Cloak descending.

That’s literally “the half” of it, half of the Grace – see, already Challenging, and we’re talking about the Blessed part.

The Blessing is a Golden Rectangle, with Uranus-Eris et al and Haumea et al forming one of the two Oppositions.  The other is Ixion et al Opposing Chaos et al.  

The et al for Chaos (Unlimited Potential) is asteroid Veritas (Truth), which crossed Chaos for the second time on 26 October.  The et al for Ixion (our Abandoned Genius itself) is Pholus (Being Fully Responsible To).

In other words, the “other half” of the Grace is the Unlimited Potential that our Abandoned Genius is willing to deliver to our doorstep, if we’re willing to “swear an Oath” to Support It instead of Supporting our Olde Ego that has Suppressed It for so long.  More Ego Death, eh?  What Fun!

Okay, that’s the Good News; now what about the Bad News?  That’d be the actual Challenges.

I don’t think we have a name for this Configuration yet.  It deserves one.  Two third planets make T-Squares to each Opposition.  In this case the T-Squares are both on the same side of the long side of the Golden Rectangle.

We’ve talked about the Chiron T-Square, where Chiron Squares each end of the Chaos-Veritas Opposition to Ixion-Pholus.  The result is Despair, and Miracles when one is able to find a new Perspective that dissolves the apparent Dilemma.

The second T-Square focuses on Mars, which Squares both ends of the Opposition from Haumea et al to Uranus-Eris et al.  This one is more local in Time…

• Mars Squared Uranus 28 October 9pm PDT
• Mars Squared Eris 30 October 6am PDT
• Mars Squares Haumea 31 October 2am PDT

We usually Experience Mars as being Energized, or Enervated if we’re in Resistance.

Remember all this is about Mastery through Challenge, not Challenge for the sake of hassle.

Do you have a Feeling yet for the nature of your Abandoned Genius?  If you could with a wave of your Magic Wand blow away All of your Limitations, what would be the Funnest thing you could think of to Do or Be?  What’s the first Obstacle that comes to mind when you think about Doing or Being that person?  Maybe it’s Fear of Being Judged, or something like that?

Following Eugene Gendlin, adding “…or something like that” is always a good idea, so you work with the Limitation rather than the wording.  When you named that vague Sense “Fear of Being Judged,” you had something in mind.  That’s what you want to work with.  You want to Change the Territory, not the Map.  You can redraw the Map later, once the Territory Changes.

“I Wonder what it would be like to Let Go of Fear of Being Judged.”

“Great Spirit, please Lovingly and Gently Liberate me from my Fear of Being Judged.”

“God/Goddess, Creator of All That Is, I Command that my Fear of Being Judged melt in the Warm Embrace of my Self-Love.  It Is Done, It Is Done, It Is Done.  Thank you God/Goddess!  Show me.”

You might want to save that last one for 11 November, when Haumea Initiates Sappho (at 2am PST).

Use quite a bit of rehearsal when you do an important PIAVA.  Once you say “I Wonder what it would be like to Let Go of Fear of Being Judged,” you may get an immediate Insight that’s more specific or more accurate.  You may Realize for instance that you don’t Fear Being Judged, you Hate Being Judged.  Or maybe it’s not Judged so much as Judged Unfairly that you dislike.  Or maybe it’s really Fear of Being Abandoned or Outcast, because you Believe that Being Judged could lead to that.

Once you finish rehearsal and get a PIAVA that you’re satisfied with, don’t forget to Change the Subject.  You’re soliciting Big Changes here, so you probably don’t want to process more than one of your Limitations at once.  Give each PIAVA a day or two to gestate, then Pay Attention to anything unusual that occurred since you PIAVAed.  Part of your “…or something like that” may have arisen – then you can modify your PIAVA and go from there.  

If you Feel Changes, then you can move on to your next Limitation.  While there’s a peak in this Energy here, the Energy isn’t going away anytime soon.  Today there’s about a Degree and a half Separating Eris, Haumea, Ixion, and Chaos.  A year from now their Separation will be a Degree and a half.

That is, they’re 30 and 60 Degrees apart, but if we ignore their Signs and just look at their Degrees within their Signs, there’s only a Degree and a half of Separation.

If when you Pay Attention you don’t see anything relevant, then pick anything unusual or Intense, regardless of relevance, and PIAVA…

“I Wonder how that is Related to my Fear of Being Judged, or Related to anything else that stops me from Following My Joy.”

Why Did We Come Here?

Well, I’ve been trying to keep my nose to the Stone and work on my too-long ToDo list, and I just keep Feeling more and more Down.  So I do what I do when no other Lifelines present themselves; I check the “Stars.”  And whoa!  Varuna is Standing Still at this very moment!  I’ve been aware of the Big Picture, but not following the details; I thought Varuna had done its deed a couple of days ago.

So what’s Varuna about?  The Life Force!  Does my ToDo list support The Life Force?  At the moment, evidently not.  As soon as I run the chart for this moment and started plotting the Dwarfs and ‘Roids, I could hardly contain the spontaneous Excitement!  What a sudden and immediate shift.

Wow.  How many decades have I lived with that dilemma?!?!  So with that vast “Experience,” what suggestions would I give to Hitchhiking Stars (ie, to myself, via Projection)?

Wow, yes, that’s Yintegrity talking, and having a Deep Heart-to-Heart with Practicality.  When there’s an apparent dilemma – an Either/Or – there’s a “Coin” somewhere.  What is it here?  What’s the Both/And?  It’s something about Living a Life that’s Worth Living, a Life where we Feel the Truth of Working on our Mission.  We may not need to name it.

Let’s Ask Fritz Perls instead…  

What is is that Yintegrity Wants?  

Excitement, for sure.  There’s Hard Work that’s hard, and there’s Hard Work that’s so engrossing that we don’t even notice we’re “working,” because we’re having too much Fun.  We’re really Playing, it just looks like Hard Work from someone else’s Perspective.

What is it that Practicality Wants?  

Certainly Security, a sense of knowing we’re going to be able to Eat tomorrow, knowing we’ve got the rent covered.

So there’s one idea –

“Ganeshi, please Remove All Obstacles to my Enjoyment of Both Excitement And Security.”

“I Wonder how I might Lovingly, Gently, Rapidly, and Completely achieve Both Security And Excitement.”

“You poor Sweetheart, you don’t Believe you have the Right to Enjoy Both Excitement And Security at the same time, do you.”

For me there’s an element of Pleasing involved as well – who might I displease by putting off my ToDo list?  There’s not much on the list that’s onerous, so if I see it from the right Perspective, I can see that it’s just not the Right Time for that.  That implicitly invites us to look for Seventh Harmonic Angles to Varuna, as it’s the Seventh Harmonic that “rules” Timing.

Yes, the Varuna Station is Triseptiled (three Sevenths of the way ’round the Zodiac, or 155 Degrees) by Chariklo – Charm and Beauty.

Interesting; I’ve been thinking about that lately, how it’s Abuse when a Child’s Significant Adults don’t Respect, Learn, and Acknowledge who a Child is in its own Right, but consider the Child to be a blank slate upon which they can write their Ego.  About how difficult it is for me to Learn certain things – even when I Want to Learn them, the information doesn’t “stick,” while Learning other things Feels so “Common Sense.”

In The Path of Least Resistance, Robert Fritz made it clear that the “greatest success” is achieved by taking one’s Native Skills and Working Hard to develop them further.  Since Native Skill is clearly a Thing of Beauty, we can see the Relationship with the Seventh-Harmonic Angle.  If we’re coming from a Perspective of Competition, it’s also easy to see Native Skill as a Privilege.  

Hence the Finger of God (Pay Attention! – and Wonder Why!) pointing to Varuna-Vesta (Letting Go of Anti-Life Unconscious Beliefs) from the Sextile between Nessus (Privilege and Abuse) and Hylonome (Liberation from Archetypes).

Where does this Lead me (irrespective of whether or not it’s relevant to Hitchhiking Stars or anyone else – though the process may be useful)?  It tells me that I’m Letting Go of another layer of my “Shoulds” Programming – my father telling me again that I’ll “never amount to anything” unless I learn to get up early (among other things).  Of course he had my best interests at Heart, from his Perspective.

Karma (Archetypes) remember does not grasp us, we grasp it.  So it’s always a Choice – I can satisfy my short-term Shoulds and regrout the Karmic Pattern, or I can Act otherwise and start a new Pattern.

Interesting Coincidence – the Varuna Station is Unx (one Twelfth of the way ’round the Zodiac or one Sign, sometimes mistakenly called a “Semi-Sextile”) to the asteroid Karma.

Of course Yintegrity doesn’t recommend that we disregard Other, it recommends that we reduce our Commitments, Renegotiate when appropriate, and Make Amends when for some reason Renegotiation isn’t possible and the Relationship is Important.

Asteroid Mnemosyne (Memories) is now Retrograde and moving back toward Uranus-Eris, less than one Degree from Eris – hence the Memories of my father.

So we don’t have to burn any Bridges.  In fact, having had this Epiphany, I might be inspired to dive into my ToDo list, or at least to Renegotiate where Time is an issue.

Speaking of Epiphany, Venus-Saturn (Redefining Values) is tightly Trioctile to Varuna-Vesta.

The other correlate we need to consider is Guilt.  It’s Guilt that enforces our Shoulds.  

November 17-20, the North Node (Deepest Desires and Mission) Conjoins Orcus (Making and Recanting Oaths, and the Guilt that enforces them) just as asteroid Karma crosses both, and the South Node (Held Emotions and Hidden Skills) Conjoins Neptune (Material Confusion/Spiritual Clarity) – all at 10 Virgo-Pisces – and both Neptune and OR10 (Notes from the Underwhere) Stand Still!

Whoa!  It’s gonna get a lot more intense before it lightens up!

Anti-Life Beliefs 3

Let’s go over all that in English…

(1) In the second half of last week, we rather abruptly shifted Energies, moving from a Feminine Mystery School around finding the ways we Self-Sabotage, to a much Deeper Clearing of Ancestral Beliefs that are Anti-Life.  While the earlier Energies were peppered with Insight, we may not even Consciously Notice the new Changes – though they are so Deep that we may Experience them as a Healing Crisis (ie, Feeling “sick”), or find old Habits suddenly gone.

(2) This weekend we have a New Moon that reinforces the New Deep Cell-Cleansing Energies, and starts to link them back to the Rise in Feminine Power and beginnings of cracks in Patriarchal Dominance, that we talked about prior to the Yin Gate Mystery School, in the earlier Power-Under post.

(3) This Deep-Cleansing Energy erupts into a major Purge of Archetypal Subservience to Power-Over, particularly during the second and third weeks of November.

(1) With embellishments, Varuna (the Life Force) Initiated Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs) featuring “irruption of bio-psychic energies into Consciousness.

(2) Varuna and Atropos (Endings) are both Stationary at the Scorpio New Moon, while a Finger of God (Pay Attention!) pointing at Vesta-Varuna from Hylonome (Grief over Loss of Attachment to an Archetype) and Nessus-OR10 (Irruption of old Abuse Memories into Consciousness) begins to form.

(3) The Finger of God forms while Nessus (Abuse and Privilege) and OR10 (Irruption of Unconscious Contents) are both Stationary (Strong), only a quarter of a Degree apart, in Pisces (Emotional Clearing).

In the preceding posts we said the Nessus and OR10 were Initiating Nemesis (Ego Death), but that was an error.  In fact, Nemesis makes Waning Squares to both of them, which carries similar meaning, and actually implies more Change, as Olde Patterns disintegrate.

Anti-Life Beliefs 1

We’ve started a new Province in Linear Time, as on 22 October Varuna (the Life Force) Initiated Vesta (Unconscious Beliefs).  While the Big Changes we’ve been experiencing for the last month continue to percolate up through the various layers of our Psyche, I expect this new Energy to dominate till Halloween.

If we can assume for a moment that our long-term Psychic Progress is toward Wholeness, then Vesta-Varuna Cycles are about Eliminating Unconscious Beliefs that are Anti-Life.  We all have those – even the Bushel that we hide our Abandoned Genius under, and the Hesitation we have to blatantly and outlandishly pursue our Deepest Desires, are driven by Unconscious Anti-Life Beliefs.  If we think it through we’ll understand that Idealism (and almost any -ism) is Anti-Life, as it’s likely to Deny its Both/And Opposite.

The timing runs something like this…

• 2pm PDT 22 October – Moon crosses Vesta-Varuna
• 6pm PDT 22 October – Varuna Initiates Vesta at 1 Leo, “irruption of bio-psychic energies into the ego-controlled field of consciousness” (Rudhyar)
• 4pm PDT 30 October – Varuna turns Retrograde at 1 Leo

The Varuna-Vesta Initiation occurs just one arcminute (one sixtieth of a Degree, or the equivalent of 24 minutes of a Zodiacal year) shy of the Varuna Station, so we can count on both Varuna and Vesta-Varuna being Strong for the whole period through 30 October.  Varuna’s been within one Degree of its Station since 16 August, so it’s been Lit Up in the background for the last two months.

Varuna operates at about the same speed as Pluto.  Their orbits run 250 years for Pluto, 283 years for Varuna.  Pluto travels from 30 “AU” (one AU is the distance from the Sun to Earth) distant in Scorpio to 50 AU in Taurus, Varuna from 40 AU in Aries to 46 AU in Libra.  Pluto is about one fifth the size of Earth, Varuna about three eighths the size of Pluto.

Varuna operates at the Cellular level, so for the next week and the next four years (the length of each Vesta-Varuna Cycle) we have the Opportunity to Let Go of Beliefs on the Epigenetic and Genetic levels, both Personally and Globally.  Of course, when Changes occur on those levels, we probably aren’t aware that “we” are Deciding or Doing anything, so we may not even know that it’s happening.

But the Changes will be Reflecting in the Mirror of our thoughts and Feelings, so we can Consciously Cooperate with the Changes, and help them permeate our Being more quickly and become more Sustainable by Acknowledging and Reinforcing them.  

In part, that means being Aware that we may have symptoms of Ego Death: Confusion, Regret, Grief, Anger, Fear, Despair, the illusion of illness as our Body moves toxins out of our Cells.  It’s Important that we Respond to these Lovingly.  By all means Comfort yourself, but stay away from symptom-suppressing drugs if you possibly can.  Use “You poor Sweetheart…” and Homeopathics and Energy Work instead.

Remember that Fear is Cold and Hard, Love is Soft and Warm.  Locate Unpleasant or Painful Sensations and Emotions in your Body, Soften around them, Warm them, put your Hand on them.  Our “natural” (or Programmed) tendency is to Tighten around Pain and approach it with Fear.  That dilates the Blood vessels and slows Healing, while Softening and Warming speeds Healing – notwithstanding the Healing Energy your Hand will direct to it from your Heart.

We may also have difficulty Relating to family or friends or colleagues if their Beliefs Change in ways that are very different from the way ours are Changing, or if they – or we – Resist the Changes.  

Bear in mind that much of what you hear people saying may be their inertial thoughts and Feelings trying to Defend who they have Believed themselves to Be.  Hear them out.  Avoid Arguing with them, as by implying that they’re wrong you could strengthen their resolve to Defend their Olde Self.  Ask them Questions if you want, but only if you can come from agenda-free Curiosity.  

The same could be true of yourself – you could “hear yourself” saying things that used to Define who you Believed yourself to Be, but in a flash of Insight you suddenly find patently ridiculous or irrelevant.  You don’t want to have any Social Ego Invested in your Olde Beliefs, unless you’re very good at telling people that you’ve “Changed your mind” or “Feel differently” now.  If you often tell yourself or others “I’m not one of those people who waffle,” you could be in trouble.

If anyone wants to Argue with you, don’t Defend; instead, Ask them more about what they have to say.  You don’t have to Agree with them.  If pressed, you can always dodge the Questions and say something like “That’s interesting, I hadn’t thought of it that way.  I’ll think about that and see how it Feels.”  Yintegrity doesn’t mean you have to make yourself Vulnerable in situations where you don’t Feel (or aren’t) Safe.  If you “have a position” on anything, you’re stuck in an Idea and in danger of missing this Opportunity to Shift on a very Deep level.

This is the Initiation of a Cycle, and the New Energy is always Strong at the Initiation – Strong and Controversial.  Controversial because those who are Invested (Egoically or financially or Emotionally) in the status quo can argue vehemently against the New Energy.  You can see the Trumpistas vigorously Defending the Olde Energy of Sexism and Racism, even as they vehemently argue against the Olde Energy of Government by the Rich, for the Rich, and of the Rich – without realizing that Trump is really planning to make it far worse.

In a typical cycle, after the Initiation the Olde Guard appears to have defeated the New Energy, as the New Energy goes underground to grow roots.  The New Energy emerges at the “First Quarter” phase of the Cycle – the one-year point in this four-year Cycle.  So a win for Clinton could seem like a victory for the Olde Guard, as in some ways it certainly will be, but a year from now we could be very surprised by what surfaces.

2020 B

By 2020 we’re still working on these 22-25 Degrees!  Good idea to put extra effort into our very busy and demanding homework on these Degrees now; the more we do now, the easier it will be later!  The Universe isn’t Random – this long span of working with these Degrees is a primer for the 2020 Saturn-Pluto.  When we’re speaking of Huperity at large, Saturn-Pluto makes the Lizards jump for Joy, creating some of the bleakest times for Huperity.  Like the massive earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, or “9/11,” or NAFTA and the WTO, or AIDS – correlates to our last four Saturn-Pluto adventures.

The 2020 Saturn-Pluto occurs at 23 Capricorn, “Bravery in Combat” – which it is likely to feel like if it turns out to be a showdown between the Patriarchy and its successor, or between the Lizards and the Mammals – we’ll bring this up later.

It draws a big crowd – it’s a Stellium of six planets between 22 and 26 Degrees of Capricorn – Sun, Ceres, Saturn, Pluto, Mercury, and Hopi.

 That combination has the potential to Change Huper Herstory significantly.

We’ll go into the Moon’s deeper meaning of Instinct and Authenticity – which should totally Change our Attitude toward Pluto-Moon, in a little while.

The biggest Configuration in the 2020 Pluto-Saturn Initiation chart is a Diamond Star (a T-Square and a Yod pointing at the same planet) to a Stationary Nemesis.  Pallas-Veritas and Chaos-Asbolus form the base of the T-Square.  Hopi-Venus and Eris form the base of the Yod.  As part of this Configuration…

Which brings us directly back to the Moon.  In mundane 3D Reality, the Moon symbolizes our “Random” Emotions.  Someone cuts us off in traffic, and one day we’re shaking our fist at them, the next day we slow down and make space for them, assuming they have a good reason to hurry, maybe even say a quick Prayer for their Safety.  Venus on the other hand represents our Consistent Emotions – our Values.  Unless there are extenuating circumstances or superior Values, we seldom Feel Enthused when someone commits murder.  The third level of the Emotional panoply is Vesta, which stands for our Unconscious Beliefs.  It takes Experience to figure out which of our Values arise from our Heart (Venus) and which arise from our Karma or Programming or Archetypes (Vesta).

Now, let’s look at those Random Emotions.  Chances are, the fellow (it probably was a male) whom you got mad at for cutting you off was probably himself Angry, maybe he thought you were slowing him down, or maybe he was just having a bad day, or maybe all of his days were bad ones.  The person you didn’t get mad at, probably did have a good reason to be in a hurry, rushing to the hospital or pick up their kid from school on time.  Feelings don’t exist in a vacuum, they’re a Field, and we have to be very careful to distinguish our own from other peoples’.

What does that tell us about the Moon?  It represents our Instincts!

How often do we Trust our Instincts?  When we’re cut off in traffic, we don’t need to invest a lot of intellectual firepower in figuring out why it happened, so we just back off the throttle, either out of consideration or out of caution.  When someone gives us a very subtle insult, the issue is a lot different.  Do we allow ourself to React Honestly?  Do we consider who it was that insulted us?  Do we take a time out and investigate whether it’s really just an old Unconscious wound of our own that was triggered by an innocent comment, and not an insult at all?  

If we were living in Yintegrity, and it was Safe to do so (it wouldn’t cost us our livelihood or our Life), we might React Honestly, watch where the chips fell, and iron out the complications accordingly – readjust our Relationship if it really was an undeserved insult, or make amends if their defense was credible.  Then examine our own wounds later, in the privacy of our own Psyche (if we didn’t have a bruise already, the insult wouldn’t have hurt).  If we really Trusted our Instincts, we might not even care if our Livelihood or Life was threatened – we might take it as an indication that Change was on the schedule, and follow the thread with Curiosity.

Astrology always gives us plenty of Opportunity to practice.  The Moon crosses or Squares or Opposes Pluto once a week!  It won’t be as intense, but Moon over Pluto will have a lot of core similarity to Pluto over Moon.  This will be excellent practice for all of us – when the Moon crosses Pluto, how do we Relate to our Instincts?  Do we Learn anything about how we Relate to our Instincts?  Here’s our schedule for the next month…

Honesty and Trust (and Discernment) around our Instincts is a big part of our Authenticity – we could think of the Moon as the local surrogate for Eris.  We routinely discount her because we’re programmed to “be Nice.”  Authenticity is represented by the Eighteenth Harmonic – planets that are separated by Angles that are multiples of twenty Degrees, half a Novile.  We can Learn a lot about our Relationship to our Authenticity by looking at which planets in our natality (birth chart) are separated by multiples of twenty Degrees.

Next we need to look at what else is going on in 2020; it’s actually more significant than the Pluto-Saturn Initiation.  The Pluto-Saturn Cycle spans thirty-some years (Pluto moves faster at some times than others), while the more important Cycle we’ll talk about spans two centuries, and will have a big impact on our Lives.  We hint at it strongly in Reasons for Optimism below.

By the way, while Nemesis crosses Juno at 11am PDT 18 October (today), the Moon Opposed them both and crossed Sedna from 9pm to 1am PDT 17-18 October; the Moon often Triggers the consequences of astroevents, so the Yin Gate may have had a more obvious climax then.

There are also several Strong ancillary astroevents occurring.  

• Pallas (Boundaries) is Stationary (Strong), having turned Direct at 2pm PST 17 October.  That’s an interesting correlate to the Power-Under issues arising.

• Pluto Initiates Mars at 4am PDT 19 October, in 16 Capricorn, a Degree that implies Regimentation.  Given everything else that’s going on, we can interpret that as increasing Consciousness of the Regimentation that Capitalistic and Nationalistic (which serves Capitalism) Propaganda foist upon us.  Shopping is your Civic Duty, right?

• Quaoar (Survival Wisdom), asteroid Karma (Inertia), and Ceres (Sustainability), the latter traveling with Mnemosyne (Memories) make a Fire (Spirit) Grand Trine (Dumb-Luck Grace).  Given all the Challenges that our Olde Ego is enduring here as New Energies crowd their way into Consciousness, this is a very useful adjunct.

• Saturn (The Most Important Thing) is no longer Squaring Orcus (Oathbreaking), Neptune (Culture and Religion), and the Nodes (Evolution), moving out of three-Degree Sensitivity just after 5pm PDT 18 October.  However, the Nodal Opposition will continue to be Lit Up until around 3am PDT 19 October, as the Moon T-Squares this axis at around 9pm PDT 18 October.

A Yin Gate is an Initiation into the Goddess’s Mystery School.  In a Mystery School we’re forced to Learn to hold contradictory Perspectives at the same time, because to make any Sense out of the Reality we’re being shown, we have to replace the Concept of Contradiction with the Concept of Paradox.  In a Yin Gate we’re forced out of the Logical “Left Brain” and into the Relational “Right Brain.”  What we Encounter does not follow the rules of Logic.  It follow the rules of Relationship.

So what are the rules of Relationship?  Well, we know one of them already; the Universe does not operate under Either/Or, it operates under Both/And.  When the Red Pill gives you Heads and the White Pill gives you Tails, you have to move to The Coin.  It’s not always so obvious as that.  It’s more often like Encountering the Gollum and having to solve his Riddles.  It’s the classic case of needing to find a New Perspective that can Relate the apparent incompatibilities that we have Encountered to one another.  

• Pause a minute and consider your recent Experiences.  Does this make them any less incomprehensible?

Or the Alternative, which is simply Accepting the Paradox as it is.  This is actually the better course, because we’re no longer forcing Reality into our little intellectual boxes, but letting the Universe be larger than mind.  Universe and Consciousness are synonymous, but we’ve been weaned on the Propaganda that mind is larger than Universe, that mind can successfully constrain the Universe into a series of equations; this is Propaganda because it’s sold to us as if it were the Only Truth.  In fact, mind is a small subset of Consciousness.

Acceptance of Paradox is very similar to Acceptance of Confusion as an Emotion rather than a Riddle that needs to be solved intellectually.  Without Accepting Confusion exactly as it is, we are unable to Grow our Consciousness Lovingly and Gently.  We could suggest that the necessity for Growth is endemic, and that without Loving and Gentle Release it backs up until Trauma forces us to Grow.  I don’t see that as a property of the Universe.  It’s an idea, a Perspective.  If it helps you understand your Past, then it’s useful.  If it motivates you to Embrace Confusion as it is, then it’s useful.

Acceptance of Paradox is the process by which Knowledge becomes Wisdom, engendering Intuition, and Trust of it.  You’ve been taught that Tolkien’s Hobbit tales are a classic Hero’s Journey.  But seriously now, what Reward does the Hero receive?  Self-Confidence and Idolization – Puffery for the Ego, easily blocking Acceptance of Confusion.  A fitting reward for the Age of Aries, but that was two Millennia ago.  For the Age of Aquarius or even the Age of Pisces, Self-Confidence can be a hollow Reward, especially if it isn’t matched by Self-Knowledge.  But then, The Fool represents Courage, doesn’t it.  The Hobbit tales are actually a Yin Gate.

• What other rules of Relationship do you routinely use in your own Life?

In any Yin Gate the emphasis is strongly on the Opposition in the center, the one with the two back-to-back green Arrowheads or Fingers of God, which literally signify “Pay Attention!“

At 11am PDT on 18 November, asteroid Nemesis (Epiphanies about Self-Sabotage) Conjoins asteroid Juno (the Edges of our Consciousness) at one end of the central Opposition in our current Yin Gate.  This is 24 Scorpio, where the recent Nova appeared ( http://phys.org/news/2016-09-bright-binocular-nova-lupus.html ).  It’s not an Initiation; Nemesis and Juno have met before on their current Cycle.  The other end of the central Opposition is occupied by Sedna, symbolizing Actions Taken out of Panic.

So we could say that the basic Energy embedded in this Portal is about Becoming Aware of the triggers that move us toward Panic and cause us to Act in ways that do not further our best interests.  When you apply this filter to your recent Experience, does it generate any useful Insight?

The remainder of the Yin Gate should help us understand more about this basic Energy.  This is 22-26 Degrees, the place where we’re starting Version 4.0 of our current Big Project, and beginning to adapt it to Community.  We’ve been working very intensely in this space for a while now, and it will save our Lives over the next four years.  Without the green Arrowheads, a Yin Gate would “just” be a Golden Rectangle (“just” because a Golden Rectangle represents profound Grace), which is the blue box in the picture.  A Golden Rectangle provides Grace around the two Oppositions – the red “X” between the corners of the blue box.

We know these two Oppositions well.  One of them is about the Emergence of a Deeper version of our True Self, symbolized by dwarf planet Haumea (Rebirth) Opposing Uranus (our Soul Self) and Eris (Truthtelling).  This is the same axis that Saturday’s Full Moon sat upon, which is a very Strong Affirmation.  While the Moon has moved on, the Sun is still very near Haumea.

The other Opposition is about the Recovery of our Hidden Genius, which may require that we Remember and Let Go Of the Trauma that forced it to Hide, as Ixion (our Abandoned Unique Genius) and Pholus (Being Fully Responsible To) Oppose Chaos (Unlimited Potential) and asteroid Veritas (Truth).  The Golden Rectangle tells us that these two processes are Complementing one another, each making the other Easier.

This second Opposition is Lit Up further by being one axis of the Grand Cross we spoke of at length in Portal 13.10.  The Opposition that Squares the Hidden-Genius axis is the one between Chiron (Despair and Miracle) and Hopi (Respect for All Things) – Embracing our Projections.

So, Bottom Line, this Portal is about Becoming Conscious of our “Stops” – the barriers in our Psyche which Stop us from Activating our Unique Genius and Living Authentically.  Once they’re Conscious, we can Change them.  The essence of those green Arrowheads is Curiosity.  “I Wonder how this will Unfold.” – not a Question that seeks an Answer.   Wonder as in Awe.  “Great Spirit, please Lovingly and Gently Open my Eyes to the Miracles that will Unfold here.”
