Who Have I Become?

That’s today’s question, with Uranus Stationary and turning Direct at 8pm PST ( http://www.jbuss.com/tt/pst20.htm ) on 25 December.  We’ve been wrestling with all manner of Demons and Daemons, most of which have proven to be imaginary (which unfortunately makes them no less profound), for the last many months.  We’ve only had time to deal with each Present Moment as it has passed, as Change has tumbled down upon us and we’ve struggled to find the Means and the Courage to Change what we know we must, the Serenity to Accept what we don’t seem to be able to Change, and the Wisdom to figure out which is which without totally burning ourselves out.  Now we come up for air, and we’re met with this Big Question, 

Who Have I Become? 

We’ve Changed, and now we get a week to figure out how, to figure out Who We’ve Become!

Uranus turned Retrograde in late July, backing over 21-17 Aries.  If you have any natal planets in 17-21 of the Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), your Uranus Can-Opener occurred in April-to-July, and Exposition in August-to-December; your Confidence-Builder is scheduled for January-March 2016.  Those natal planets will tell you a lot about Who You’ve Become.  17-21 is the Scorpio Duad of Aries; we’ll have been adding embellishments to Version 3.1 of our Lifetime Creation, and Diving Deep to locate obstacles to its progress.

For the last year our noses have been rubbed in Sustainability and Sustenance.  As of this morning, that pulse is finished, and won’t return until mid-2017.  Let’s hope the efforts to stem Climate Change, such as they are, won’t stall out in the interim.  

Dwarf planet Ceres (Sustainability) has been Out of Bounds (Strong) since just after Christmas of 2014.  It’s now back In Bounds until July-through-mid-September 2017.  Even if it’s less pronounced for the next year and a half, it was still Rising (Coming into Awareness) everywhere on the Planet on 1/1/2000, making it the bellwringer for the Century.

We still expect the second half of this decade to be economically challenging for most folks, so I don’t recommend that we reduce our Attention to Sustainability and its partner Sustenance.  Sustenance – eliminating the unnecessary – is an important part of Sustainability.  Here’s a very nice series of short videos to help us stay on track – on No-Dig, Forest Gardens, Soil Regeneration, Foraging, for instance…

The Digital Age, with all its disruption and restructuring, doesn’t start in earnest till 2020 (after Saturn next Initiates Jupiter).  Alternative Culture (the Fresh Violets in an Ancient Pottery Bowl Chiron-Neptune Cycle) is still in its infancy, though I hope you’re personally already deep into it.  And the Developed Nations haven’t even begun to dig themselves out of the mess that bloomed in the 2007 Derivatives Crisis – the Megacorps are much Too Bigger to Fail, and the Derivative load (leveraged bets on the outcome of earlier bets, stacked up in a house of cards) is many times larger.  The Lizards successfully blamed the 2007 Crisis on “deadbeat mortgagees” so you wouldn’t notice them transferring unmeasurable wealth from you and your children to themselves, and they’re setting up to blame the next Crisis on “deadbeat carbuyers and students” so they can repeat the process.  

If you haven’t read Naomi Klein’s Shock Doctrine, which explains the Lizards’ methodology very clearly, please do read it so you can explain it to everyone you know; I meet few people who understand how we’re being scammed, and it won’t stop till most people understand it.  They’ll exploit the next big Climate-Crisis storm the same way they exploited New Orleans in 2005.  The oddsmakers, who are much more prescient than the polls or the for-sale media, give Hilary Clinton a 75%-or-so chance of becoming the next President of the US (they give Donald “the T is silent” Trump* and the other Repos about 10%, and Bernie about 4%), which means business as usual for the New (Corporate) World Order.

But, why do we only have a week to figure out Who We’ve Become?  Actually, it doesn’t much matter, because we’ll be someone else entirely by July (after Eris Initiates Uranus), so it’s only a brief moment of Stillness.  Several hours before the New Year here – half past 5pm PST ( http://www.jbuss.com/tt/pst17.htm ) – the dwarf planet Makemake turns Retrograde.  Makemake is about Manifestation, as its name suggests.  So for most of this week we’ll be focused more on 

What Am I Going to Create with (or for) my New Self?

than on Who Have I Become.  You’re probably already mulling this over.  You may not even have stopped to notice how Different you are now than you were six months ago.  It might not be a bad idea to give some Attention to the Who question over the next several days, lest you address the What question from the perspective of your Old Self, if your mind or Emotions haven’t caught up yet.  By Monday or Tuesday, it’d be an excellent time to review your PIAVA techniques…

Pick out a few simple short-term Manifestations, something you can create in an hour or so (like finding the shovel you haven’t seen since August), and a few specific PIAVA techniques to practice on.  Then, by Wednesday and Thursday, you’ll be ready for some Big-Time Manifestation Efforts.  You’ll have figured out Who You Are and What You Want Now, and you can go for it.  A planet is at its Strongest when it’s Stationary, so Peak Power runs from now till your equivalent of late afternoon Friday PST.  If you can spend Friday in Meditation, Feeling exactly the way you’re going to Feel once you’ve Manifested that Big Dream, you’ll be Golden.  Stay flexible; this is just one Station of the Tokaido, so don’t lock yourself in.  If you feel like you have to make a Decision, Choose Both/And and let the Universe show you how it can Make a Miracle.

Makemake – which is Out of Bounds – will Retrograde across 3-1 Degrees of Libra, the Libra Duad, Double Libra.  If you have planets in these first degrees of the Cardinal Signs, you’ve been doing the Can-Opener since September.  For instance, on a friend’s recommendation I bought the books Search Inside Yourself by Chade-Meng Tan and The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker, just as Makemake was crossing my early-Libra planet.

This is about Manifesting an entirely new way of relating to other people, even of relating to Other, or Not-I, in general.  Even your Witnessing, your Chironean Empathy process, is a Not-I process, where you’re consciously moving your Assemblage Point, even if only in a small way, to subtly vary Who You Are moment-to-moment.  Your Emotion is still part of You in those moments, but it’s no longer where your Ego is embedded – it becomes Other, even as it remains You.  Lots of potential fun here – you can Witness yourself Witnessing yourself, for instance.  This is not an idle exercise; in an important situation, where exactly you park your Observer can change the Outcome drastically.

There is likely to be more Honesty and less Guile, though we will quickly Learn to be Honest Charmingly.  When the Unexpected pops out of you, don’t try to suppress it or apologize; instead, put your Efforts into Integrating it with the rest of who you Believe yourself to Be.  You’ll probably recognize that these Surprises are more Authentically You than you had intended.  Embrace it and Celebrate the loss of the Masks.

The Makemake Station is Squared by the ongoing Chariklo-Hylonome Conjunction, which is about Grieving the Loss of our former Charm, and/or Enjoying Freedom from an Archetype we’ve been laboring under, Walking in Beauty instead.  It’s Quincunx to 2007 OR10 (the Unexpected that’s really our Deeper Self); it would behoove to “Wonder what’ll happen next!”  It’s Trine Mercury and Sextile Venus, making a tidy little knot between Libra an Pisces.

Yintegrity and Inanna

Neptune, which literally symbolizes our Cultural and Spiritual context, is the head of a Mjolnir Kite that we need to add to our Holiday Shopping post ( https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2015/12/19/holiday-shopping/ ), as by Friday morning’s Full Moon, Mercury has moved around to Square Eris, with dwarf planet Orcus taking up the tail of the Kite.  

The Oaths that gave away our Sovereignty to the Patriarchy are one of the biggest collections of Oaths that we need to forswear.  As Orcus informs us, in order to facilitate Change we need to Stand Still for the Punishment that Orcus would deal us for abandoning our old Oath – that is, we need to endure the Paper Tigers of our Held Emotions or Karma if we are to be Liberated, as the parable of Inanna and Ereshkigal illustrates.  When we are Present, we realize that the Held Emotions that we’ve been Resisting for Lifetimes are actually no longer Real.

But what if we had our fingers crossed.  When we swore allegiance to the Patriarchy, to Yangtegrity, did we really forswear our earlier Oaths of allegiance to the Goddess?  I mean, are we still Eating?  Where do we think Food comes from?  It’s not the freezer at Carrefour, even if that’s where it appears to come from.  Sure, it wouldn’t hurt to dust off our Breatharian Skills, but realistically, how many of us?  I know, the Patriarchy provides more Poisons than Foods, but the roots are still with the Goddess, even as perverted as the Corporations have been able to make it.

Of course we have to ask what Venus and Mars are doing, and their Dance is intriguing.  I hope to be able to add illustrations again soon, because it would be a great help.  In the Jupiter-Trine-Sedna-Unx-Eris-Trine-Pholus/Ixion-Square-Jupiter Trine Fez, Venus and Mars evenly split the Square twice – that is, Jupiter Unx Mars Unx Venus Unx Pholus-Ixion.  The Unx or Twelfth Harmonic is about new Perspectives and surpassing our Karmic Patterns.

So Pattern-Breaking in our Gender Balance is not only front and center, it’s about Taking Responsibility for Growing into our Orphaned Genius.  Here’s a mind-blowing example of out old Oaths and the Patterns to be Broken…

Mars (and Haumea) Opposes Eris, and Venus Opposes Sedna.  This adds two new Quincunxes to the Trine Fez: Fez-Haumea to Sedna and Venus to Eris, and these cross the diagonal Quincunxes of the Fez, creating another Dos-Equis Pattern akin to the Yin Gate Configuration, and also creating Yods shouting Pay Attention! to Sedna and Eris.  Among other Energies, this highlights the Sedna-Eris Unx, which implies that…

Our Insights into what’s till now been Denied…

Eris is the tail of the Mars Mjolnir Kite on the Saturn-Orcus Square, which we wrote about in Holiday Shopping.

…will have much greater Power because they’ll be Breaking the grasp that our Fear has had on us; we’re likely to be Present enough to see that our Held Emotions really are, in the Present Moment, Paper Tigers.  And this is likely to help us Break even more out of crippling obsolete Gender stereotypes.

Lots coming up here, with the Solstice only a few days away and a Full Moon to guide St. Nicholas on his rounds.  Let’s have a look using December 22 as an anchor, as dwarf planet Haumea – Rebirth – Initiates Mars (Action) that day…

the Initiation takes place at 24 Libra, “A butterfly with a third wing on its left side” – the Yin side…

a Rebirth of Mars as Consort to the Goddess.  Mars Opposes his sister Eris, Revealer of the Denied, who is strongly illuminated.

Eris is the focus of both a Finger of God based on Venus Sextile Jupiter, and a Mjolnir based on Saturn Square Orcus.  Mars is also the focus of a Quintile Yod from the Moon and Chiron.

A Mjolnir -Thor’s Hammer in English – symbolizes Lightning, or sudden and irreversible Illumination of the Darkness.   It’s a third planet at the far Midpoint of a Square, so there’s a Trioctile to the third planet from each end of the Square.  The “Tri” is Love with Wisdom; the “Octile” is Adjustment, Rebalancing.  The Square may be Frustrating, but the Mjolnir‘s Epiphany suddenly makes it Miraculously Easy.

It’s about our Discovering the Roots of our Limiting Oaths.  Gently and Lovingly, but Solidly.

I Wonder…  I’ve Wanted so badly to have or be or do THIS, and I’ve been trying forever but I just can’t Create it.  What if I’m Stopping myself.  I Wonder if I swore some sort of Oath a long time ago, that’s still Blocking me.  Something happened, and I reacted by Swearing never to let that happen again.  It’s like trying to remember a Dream – it’s right there, I can taste it, I can almost see it.  What was it?  It’s not about THIS, but it must be related.  There must be a connection between THIS and that, so my Oath against that stymies THIS.  Ganeshi, would you be willing to Lovingly and Gently remove any obstacles to this Revelation and Rebirth?

Orcus Opposes Neptune, with Saturn T-Squaring them both.  That means Mars-Haumea and Eris each make Trioctile Bridges across the T-Square, and together form a Trioctile Rectangle or Box.  

Boxes are driven by the Oppositions between their corners.

Our Oath seems murky because it was an integral part of our Social Programming; if we had or were or did that, we would be ostracized.  And at that age we had no Survival Skills; it would be certain Death, or on earlier Timelines slavery to a rival Tribe.  This is not Child’s Play, we’ve lived many variations of this Pattern on many Timelines, in many Lives.  With the fate of the Planet in our hands, we all need to Let Go of these Limiting Patterns so we can find our Voice to have and be and do what WE need to have and be and do in order to fulfill our Mission.  It seems small, but one missing piece in a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle makes a glaring hole.  It may be Child’s Play, as your Oath may have resulted from Games that are Innocent to Children, but Impermissible to adults.

Mars-Haumea is also Sextile to Ixion-Pholus, and this Sextile is the base of a Sedna Finger of God.

Actions taken out of Fear often have Unintended Consequences, because we don’t have time, or a clear head, to think through the outcomes.  And the same is true of Actions NOT taken out of Fear.  While our Oath may have prevented “sins” of Commission, it has almost Certainly been Creating “sins” of Omission.  There are important roles in your Community that you shy away from because you Unconsciously Fear Punishment if you defy your ancient Oath.  Roles meant for you, and Communities with missing pieces.  Our Rebirth can allow us to Take Full Responsibility for our Unique Genius that we’ve been hiding because we Fear it will appear Pathological.  We may have to Tap out some Fear along the way.

Which makes a Trine Fez: Jupiter Trine Sedna Unx Eris Trine Pholus-Ixion Square Jupiter.  

Fezes are driven by the Quincunxes between their corners.

So we have two assignments, both requiring Permanent Curiosity.  There are no Answers here, only Questions.  Where there are Insights, they should introduce more Questions.  It’s not an intellectual exercise, where an Answer eases our Anxiety and we can relax.  We want to Surrender to Wonder, and be Awed by how incredible the Universe works when we Witness our Ego and Act from Ongoing Curiosity instead.

Great Spirit, how can I Safely navigate my Fear about Living my Unique Genius?  I Wonder what I will need to discover in order to Grow into my rightful place in my Community and on the Planet.

Mars-Haumea is also the focus of a Quintile Yod from the Moon and Chiron.  Pluto is the focus of a Quintangle from Juno and the South Node.  The Moon and Juno form the base of a Septangle focused on Ceres.

A Quintile Yod is formed when a third planet is at the far Midpoint between two planets that form a Quintile; the third planet is the focus.  A Quintangle is a third planet at the near Midpoint between two planets forming a Biquintile; again, the third planet is the focus.  A Septangle is a third planet at the far Midpoint between two planets that make a Triseptile, with the third planet as the focus.

We’re Learning here to Trust our Instincts, and to recognize Despair as the sign that Miracles await; we need only Witness our Despair.  “You poor Sweetheart, you really feel Discouraged, don’t you.”  It’s not a Choice; we’re Learning how to Choose Growth in the Edges of our Consciousness instead of continuing to Fear the Edges of our Held Emotions.  Business as Usual is not Sustainable.  We have Instincts that tell us where and how we need to Grow.  We need only to stop ignoring them.

When confronted by our Hesitation to Expand Freely, we can unlock the available Dumb-Luck Grace by PIAVAing, “I Wonder what Insights I need in order to take maximum advantage of this fabulous opportunity to Grow, while Enjoying Safely?”

That is, when confronted by our Hesitation to Expand Freely (Sun Square Jupiter), we unlock the Dumb-Luck Grace (Sun-Eris Trine) by PIAVAing (Jupiter Quincunx Eris), “God/Goddess, what Insight do I need to take advantage of this opportunity, Safely?“

Remember it’s a PIAVA, so you want a “Permanent” Curiosity.  You aren’t looking for Answers, you’re looking for a state of Wonder and Awe.  You will get Insights, great, go ahead and use them to restructure your Attitudes.  But don’t consider them to be the Answer to your Query; consider them to be step one of many in your process, and follow them with another “I Wonder what else I might need to Understand to take maximum advantage of this fabulous opportunity to Grow, Lovingly and Gently?” and another and another.

Of course regular readers will recognize that Chiron is written all over the “manyvoices” post above, as it’s a fabulous description of how Chiron converts Despair to Miracles through Empathy.  Miracles occur because the Impossible becomes Possible when our Attitudes change.

The most crippling kind of Despair is what we call “Unconscious Despair” – when we don’t even consider something to be Possible.  For instance, do you ever Daydream about

Having more money than I could ever use for any purpose that I could possibly consider worth doing, including the purpose of improving the lives of every person, critter, and biome on the Planet, in effective ways and in proportion to their need?  

If you react negatively to the word “money” in there, take it out and put in the word “Magic” instead.  

Well, why not pursue your Dream?  And if you don’t have such Daydreams, why not?  Seems almost laughable, doesn’t it, it’s so far from Plausible.  And you don’t Believe in Magic?  Why not?  That’s Unconscious Despair, where we allow the “Plausible” to define our Upper Limits rather than the “Possible.”  And do you ever Imagine that anything is Possible?  Why not?  More Unconscious Despair.

The Jupiter T-Square and Eris Bridge are only one Degree apart, more than close enough to fit within our usual three-Degree limit of Sensitivity for astroevents that we expect to have a measurable impact on us day to day.  But what if we Expanded our way of looking at this to include Projects that we start now?  

It’s traditional to use between one and three degrees of Sensitivity for “Transits” – current astroevents.  Appropriate levels of Sensitivity really depend on the person and the planets involved.  For the average triple Pisces having a Transit to their Neptune, ten Degrees may be more appropriate.  But for a birth chart, an “orb” (as astrologers refer to it) of six to ten degrees is traditional.

Chiron is three to five Degrees from Jupiter, Eris, Chaos, and the Sun – well within our limit of Sensitivity for any Project we wish to begin now.  Mars (Action) and Sedna (Embracing Fear) also join in Gracefully – Mars completes a Golden Rectangle with Eris, Chaos, and the Sun, and Sedna Bridges the Jupiter-Chiron Opposition.

So why not begin the Project of Lovingly and Gently Embracing ALL of our Emotions and Behaviors?  It’s an ideal time for it, as the Universe is lining up behind us.  We might start with the PIAVA, “Ganeshi, please remove all obstacles that separate me from completely and unconditionally Accepting and Loving myself.”

The Pholus-Quaoar-Galactic Center-Ixion-Hylonome-Chariklo Stellium (which by the way starts only four Degrees from the Sun) will even Support such a Project, as we can interpret that as An order (Quaoar) from the Galactic Command to Take Full Responsibility (Pholus) for Allowing whatever Ego Deaths (Hylonome) are necessary for us to Embrace our Pathological Genius (Ixion) and Walk in Beauty (Chariklo).

 

 

Gauntlet

They’ve spread out a little, but we still have a Stellium (a grouping of three or more planets) of dwarf planets wrapped around the Galactic Center.  Over the last ten days Mercury has been dancing with each of them in turn, and between now and December 25, the Sun will be dancing with them in turn…

• Ixion – The Genius we reject, or the Transgressions we should feel guilty about but don’t
• Pholus – Taking Full Responsibility
• Quaoar – Information about what we need to do in order to Survive
• Galactic Center – Headquarters
• Hylonome – Ego Death, Soul Recovery
• Chariklo – Walking in Beauty

They’re also being Squared by the Nodes, meaning that if we succeed in Lovingly Embracing Emotions we don’t like to deal with (which, unfortunately, could be trying to push into our Awareness),  then we’ll find out more about our Mission.  Jupiter’s also moving into a Square with them, which will Amplify them.  Whatever we’ve become intellectually Aware of over the last two weeks, we’ll be exploring more deeply over the next two weeks, with the Awareness moving out of our intellect and into our Belly.

Pattern-Breaking Tricolors

Forgive us some astrobabble…

A question: “What do you think about Sun-square-Chiron-trine-Uranus…is this a modified tricolor of some kind?

Yes, interesting, Sun-Square-Chiron-Unx-Uranus-Trine-Sun, brilliant observation. 

The Patterns that assemble in a tight corner of a chart seem to me (and others) to be less dynamic than Patterns which assemble across the chart, like the difference between a Golden Gnomon (restricted domain) and a Golden Yod (chart-crossing).  Unless of course the tight Patterns are for some other reason (only Pattern, Stationary or otherwise dominant planet, etc) prominent.

So if such a “Tight Tricolor” occurred on its own, we’d hypothesize that the Grace of the Trine could be unlocked (to ease the Square) by Changing a Habitual Pattern (like Anne Ortelee at http://anneortelee.com/?p=4751 in fact suggests), substituting the meaning of an Unx (Pattern-Breaking, or seeing through new Perspectives, or the Hanged Man, the Twelfth Harmonic) for the Curiosity of the Quincunx in the Major and Minor Tricolors.  So with these three it’d be something like “If you Respond to Discouragement (Sun Sq Chiron) by Wearing one of your Masks upside down (Chiron Unx Uranus), you could unlock a pulse of your own hidden Genius (Ixion New Moon Trine Uranus),” or something like that.  As a friend says, “Don’t get Even, get Odd” (without the armory of course).

And there’s an even “Tighter Tricolor” in Pallas-Pluto Square Uranus Unx Chiron Sextile Pallas-Pluto! – “If we Respond to Boundary issues (Pallas-Pluto Square Uranus) by Changing the way we Perceive or deal with Discouragement (Uranus Unx Chiron), we may see ‘Miraculous’ ways we can Act to shift our Boundaries into Win-Win (Chiron Sextile Pallas-Pluto),” or something like that.

Note too the Pallas-Pluto Square Mars Quincunx Chiron Sextile Pallas-Pluto is what we’ve been calling a Minor Tricolor (Square-Quincunx-Sextile).

But in this chart (and also applying to others with the same Configurations), the Tight Tricolor is a natural consequence of a T-Square across one Opposition of a Golden Rectangle, and the Tighter Tricolor is a natural consequence of a T-Square across the other Opposition (which is focused on the same side of the Golden Rectangle as the first T-Square).  In a “normal” Golden Rectangle, we’d foretell Grace when we deal with the Oppositions as “Coins” rather than as Contradistinctions.  But with T-Squares to the Oppositions, that shifts the focus to the T-Squaring planets outside the Golden Rectangle.

So the Bottom Lines would be Grace resulting from…

• Rebirth into Unlimited Expression of our Genius (Chaos Opposite Ixion New Moon) mediated by Optimism and Belief in Miracles (T-Square to Chiron) and facilitated by Playing with arbitrary shifts in the way we wear our Masks (the Tight Tricolor)
• Support for Actively Removing our Masks (Mars Opposite Uranus) mediated by Trusting our Guidance about Changing our Boundaries (T-Square to Pluto-Pallas) and facilitated by arbitrarily Changing our Orientation toward Discouragement (The Tighter Tricolor)

Uranus, Eris, and Ixion

By the way, isn’t it a fascinating “Coincidence” that Ixion Trines Uranus just at Eris Initiates Uranus, next June.  

The Uranus-Ixion Cycle is Waxing, expounding a Cycle begun early in 1977 at 12 Scorpio, “An official embassy ball; Group-consciousness, as it flowers at the highest level in cultural interchanges between representatives of the elite of the ruling class,” where the subtext is Rudhyar’s (possibly reflecting his European childhood).  The timing corresponds well to the advent of Reagan and Thatcher and the beginning of the resurrection of the 1%, as in at least the US, this is when the prosperity of the 99% began to decline.  At least part of the Media seems to be starting to demystify The Donald in earnest.  We may be seeing the 1% shooting themselves in the feet; the subtext we’d add would be more like “An official embassy ball; Greed-consciousness, as it flowers at the highest level in cultural interchanges between the most corrupt of the Corporate Masters and their government flunkies.“

The Ixion-Eris Cycle is Waning; the decaying Cycle began in 1867 at 13 Cancer, “A hand with a prominent thumb is held out for study: The power of the will in shaping character.”  Rudhyar’s subtext here is straight out of Palmistry – Judging people based on their logical ability, will power, and love nature.  Ixion-Eris is about Denying and Revealing the ways we Power-Over Others, with a footnote that Genius Changes the World by Powering-Over the status quo.  Under social pressure will power and CBT logic would suppress Genius.  The Golden Apple would imply Liberation from Guilt about our Genius.

The Eris-Uranus Initiation at the Ides of next June occurs at 24 Aries, “Blown inward by the wind, the curtains of an open window take the shape of a cornucopia: Openness to the influx of spiritual energy.”  While this Energy would already be Strong, it’s noteworthy that its final form is not Co-Created yet.

Pallas-Pluto New Moon

Conveniently, we only need to do one chart for the upcoming New Moon and Pluto-Pallas Initiation, because they occur only three hours apart – and because they are intricately intertwined.  The Initiation is the primary Focus of the chart, but the New Moon isn’t too far behind.  Let’s start with the Pallas-Pluto Cycle.

We have some Boundaries that are…

• too tight – our Judgments, which Limit our Experience, and some that are
• too loose – the places where we Give Away our Power.  

The five-year Pallas-Pluto Cycle is always a major Teaching about how we Sabotage our Self by…

• holding what we Want at arm’s length because we have Unconscious Judgments that interfere with our ability and willingness to Receive it
• lacking the ability and willingness to strive toward our Goals because we Give Away the Power we need to achieve them. 

In a usual Pallas-Pluto Cycle, we find ourselves being “forced” to tighten and loosen Boundaries to deal with circumstances that arise, but we often over-react, tightening where optimally we’d loosen, and vice versa.  For instance, for the last five years we’ve been encountering situations where we have unfinished Emotional business.  If we were Conscious of this, we’d have been Braving up to Lovingly and Gently Embrace the Emotions involved so we could Transcend them.  Without the Consciousness we’d be more likely to Choose Avoidance.  This Choice, to Embrace or Avoid, will have had a big influence on how we adjusted our Boundaries with People and Situations and Things, and those adjustments will have had a big influence on whether we’ve Manifested what we Want.

The prior Cycle Initiated at 6 Capricorn (the Pisces Duad) in January 2011, “Ten logs lie under an archway leading to darker woods“; the new Cycle Initiates at the Midpoint of Capricorn (in the Gemini Duad), “In a hospital, the children’s ward is filled with toys.“

This next Cycle is about continuing to Heal through being willing and able to Play with new processes and variations on the processes we’ve been using.  We can expect Alternative/Complementary Medicine to expand more than we’d otherwise Expect, for instance.  And Being now Conscious, we’ll Choose Humor and Excitement over Gravity and Fear and Hesitation – it wouldn’t hurt to remember the anthem that Fear + Breathing = Excitement.  The Challenge to Support our Yintegrity will be more accentuated, but easier, than it has been, and we’ll be more likely to Choose to develop the hidden Genius that we’ve been Ashamed or Frightened of, than to maintain the Masks we’ve used to create the Illusion of Popularity.

The Pluto-Pallas Initiation is the focus of a T-Square across a Mars-Uranus Opposition (Braving up to Support our Yintegrity, or not), but the Opposition is Trine-Bridged (Graced) by the New Moon, which at 20 Sagittarius (“Pelicans, menaced by the behavior and refuse of men, seek safer areas for bringing up their young“) Conjoins dwarf planet Ixion (Pathological Genius).  The Mars-Uranus Opposition is also Trine-Bridged by Ceres (Sustainability), which with Chaos (Unlimited Potential) forms a Grand Trine (Dumb-Luck Grace) – making Uranus the head of the resulting Kite (Ease in seeing the Prize to be gained by Choosing Yintegrity, and hence ease in pursuing it assertively).

The Pluto-Pallas Initiation is also the focus of a Golden Gnomon…

to use the Sacred-Geometry term for what we’ve been calling a Quintangle – two planets Biquintile to one another with a third planet at the near Midpoint; the Gnomon is “Golden” because like the Golden Rectangle it’s constructed using the Golden Section…

With Juno Biquintile the South Node as its base (Learning about our Suppressed Emotions).

The New Moon (Reboot) is also the head of another Kite (Ease) with the Mars-Chaos-Ceres Grand Trine (Dumb-Luck Grace with Sustainable Projects of Unlimited Scope), which we can hope will apply to the Paris Climate Talks.  Taking out Ceres and adding back Uranus gives us a Golden Rectangle, with Mars-Uranus and New Moon-Chaos as the Oppositions.

While Golden or Mystic Rectangles provide much Grace, their Gifts are multiplied when we Respond to the Oppositions by Paying Attention to the “Coins” implied by their Contradistinctions.  

While the New Moon-Ceres Sextile is short, a few additional Degrees would give us five of the six points of a Grand Sextile (Ease, especially when we take the first step deliberately), with the Vacancy near the Midpoint of Leo.

The implication is that we can Reboot ourselves into an Unlimited Future by moving Assertively toward greater Yintegrity.  If you get stuck, just Ask yourself, What would I do if I had Unquestioned Self-Confidence in this situation?  While we don’t want to broadcast it far and wide, we’re likely to find that our immediate Community will be delighted to Support our casting aside of the Masks we’ve been hiding our True Self behind.  After all, they already know who we Really are, and they’ve been Wondering why we don’t seem to know it!

One last Configuration: a Novile Yod (Pay Close Attention but Don’t Make a Big Deal out of It) points to the North Node (Our Truth) from Uranus (True Self) and Neptune (Our Culture).

The Avocado Seed

If you’ve seen an Avocado seed sprout, you know how they split into two very solid Half-Spheres.  Like Isaiah 24.  Delores Cannon and others have advised that the Earth will split in two as well.  If we are tripped right off the cliff as the 1% complete their TPP/TTIP coup to eliminate civil government and replace it with corporate sovereignty, and finish propagandizing the rest of us to worship the God of Quarterly Profit too, will there be another Half-Sphere that we can jump to, the way at the last minute Indiana Jones or James Bond would have?  Or an Ascension like the license plate brackets “In the event of Rapture this car will be unmanned”?

A characteristic of Neptune, recall, is that Confusion reigns when we see through Avocado Eyes, but Clarity when we use our Third Eye.  The Third Eye reads Energy rather than Matter, reading the Wave-Partical Duality.  If we look at the Shimmering rather than the hologram of the Shimmering, can the Energy split into two Waves, like the Tibetan Monks singing two notes at once…

It’s a fundamental part of our “Cognitive Dissonance” Both/And practice – in order to keep our brain from ossifying, we practice holding Mutually Contradictory Perspectives at the same time.  It also helps to keep our Perspective from sinking into Fundamentalism, where we Believe our metaphors are literally True rather than useful descriptions.  If you know nothing more than the electromagnetic spectrum, you understand how incredibly limited Huper perception is, and you can’t help but understand that ALL mental descriptions are metaphors.

Of course we all hold Mutually Contradictory Perspectives, but most of them are Unconscious.  How else could someone call themselves “Christian” while spouting Hate and Fear?  Bringing our own personal Mutually Contradictory Perspectives into Consciousness is how we reduce Self-Sabotage.  But it also behooves to seek new Mutually Contradictory Perspectives beyond our usual domains.  The more Perspectives we can learn and maintain, the better our chances of staying Grounded and Present and being able to Respond instead of Reacting, no matter how strange the Avocado gets.

Orcus III

By now we’re only several hours from the Orcus Station.  In our first two installments on Orcus, looking at the two most prominent “layers” of Orcus’s Personality, or Plutoidality, we found first a focus on Yintegrity versus Yangtegrity the latter maintained by a threat of Punishment, then second a Challenge to Integrate them.  In the third layer we find Confusion over Fear and Grief – appropriate for the recent events, and a strong suggestion for Healing it.

Mercury Conjunct Neptune (Confusion par excellence) heads a T-Square across the Nodes, with Hylonome (Grief and Identity Crisis) Stationary on the South Node, and Sedna (Actions Taken out of Fear) on the North Node.

Centaur Hylonome on the South Node tells us that we have Ego-Identified with an Entity out of our Karmic Past, and we now have the Choice to either deepen the Identification or Let Go of it.  That suggests a couple of questions for self-examination.  Who are we Unconsciously Empathizing with here?  When have we Experienced Grief similar to this?  Do we Feel any Liberation when we Lovingly and Gently Witness that possibly-unresolved historical Grief?

Dwarf planet Sedna on the North Node begs us to become Conscious of our Fear and Anger Reactions, Embrace them as Emotions rather than calls to Action, and once we’re Grounded, evaluate the situation more dispassionately, so we can Respond rather than React.  Reaction Unconsciously focuses on righting Past transgressions, while Response Consciously attempts to manipulate the Future.  It’s important to notice that we can be dispassionate while still fully supporting our Values; in fact, we’re likely to be more effective at supporting them.

All of which reminds us that Confusion is the first stage of Growth.  The Red Flag here is Blame.  Blame is a dead-end alley, and if we revert to Blame when the Nodes are involved, we freeze and deepen our Stuck places.  Blame looks to the Past with the objective of assigning Cause.  The alternative is Responsibility, which looks to the Future with the intention of improving Outcomes.

The Nodal Opposition is Trine-Bridged by the Conjunction of Jupiter and Makemake, which yields a Major Tricolor on the Square from Mercury-Neptune to Sedna-North Node.  Jupiter-Makemake is also the head of a Finger of God.  The base of the Finger of God is a Sextile from Mercury-Neptune to Eris, forming a Minor Tricolor on the Square from Mercury-Neptune to Hylonome-South Node.  Eris in turn Trines Quaoar, which also Sextiles Mercury-Neptune.  The Mythological Quaoar was a Law-Giver, not for the sake of Control, but for the sake of Survival.  Quaoar told the people when to sow and how to reap, lest they go back to eating clay, which is what they ate before Quaoar taught them how to collaborate with the Plants and Animal Peoples.

The Suggestion for Healing our Yintegrity–Yangtegrity Conflicts so we can Act without Self-Sabotage and Stand in Confidence, is that we Focus our Attention on What We Are Manifesting, or What We Would Like to Create.  That would involve Projecting our own Thoughts and Emotions into the Future, and Asking whether they would help or hinder the Creation of the sort of World that we would like to Live in.  

The other part of the Suggestion for Healing is that we invoke our Permanent Curiosity around this.  We would PIAVA, How am I contributing to the Outcomes I don’t Want?  Not to seek an Answer (though we needn’t reject Insights), but to follow the PIAVA guidelines (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava/) of Changing the Subject, and Paying Attention.  When we receive an Insight, we reissue our PIAVA, recognizing that this isn’t a one-time question, but a Life-Long issue, and one where our Survival as a species is at stake.

We’re writing about Orcus just now because it’s Stationary, which means Strong, on Monday December 7.  It also happens to be Opposite Neptune, with Saturn T-Squaring the pair, which will compound the issues Orcus brings up.  As we wrote in our previous post, Orcus I, dwarf planet Orcus can bring up Conflicts between what we’ve Sworn to Do or who we’ve Sworn to Be, and what or who pops spontaneously out of the Unconscious, the Great Underwhere.  

Well, Saturn is the perfect reinforcement for what we’ve Sworn to Do or who we’ve Sworn to Be, and Neptune the perfect conduit for beautiful Insights bubbling up from the Deeps.  Pay Attention this weekend; The Most Important Thing is likely to be Interruptions that are pregnant with Meaning.  And while it’s not Neptune that’s Stationary, whenever Neptune is Activated, it’s good to remember that Confusion is the first stage of Growth, and that switching to a Spiritual Perspective will often provide Clarity.  Or, just savor the Confusion – use it to stimulate your Perpetual Curiosity.

We have to define a whole new Configuration for the second primary layer of Orcus’s Personality.  Till we think of a better name we’ll call it a Flying Yoda.  I still can’t draw a picture of it because of technical difficulties; we hope to get that fixed soon.  But we talked about and illustrated gliding Flying Squirrels, one with a tail and the other tailless, at

You could also see it as a Fez with a chinstrap.  But there’s a lot more going on with a Flying Yoda.  We have the same portentous Pentagram and Pentagon, the same Finger of Yod pointing to the Squirrel’s or Yoda’s head, or the chinstrap of the Fez, and the same Tricolors inflating the Wings.  But now the Squirrel grows long ears like Yoda.

In a Flying Yoda we have two T-Squares, the bases of which are the Oppositions in a Golden Rectangle.  The foci of the T-Squares – the hands of the Squirrel or Yoda – are Trine to one another.  The four corners of the Golden Rectangle are the Squirrel’s or Yoda’s feet and eartips.  A Flying Yoda would have three points of focus – the head is overlighting, but the foci of the two mutually complementary T-Squares will attract most of the Attention.  All three corners of each T-Square is either Trine, Sextile, Quincunx, or Unx to each of the three corners of the other T-Square, so you have two Masteries through Challenge that educate one another. 

In this case, Mars forms the overlighting head, and the T-Square-focusing hands are Saturn and a Conjunction between Uranus and the Centaur Asbolus (Intuition).  So Action rules the day, but again we have Order/Yangtegrity/Priority on one pole, and Truth/Yintegrity/Spontaneity on the other – but with consummate Cooperation between the Yin and the Yang.

The base of the Uranus-Asbolus T-Square is Chaos Opposite Ixion, with Chaos Stationary.  That’s a very Strong push toward the Unlimited Potential of our Pathological Genius, fueled by Spontaneity that’s likely to be irrepressible.  The base of the Saturn T-Square is Venus Opposite a Conjunction between Haumea (Rebirth) and Chariklo (Walking in Beauty), a very Strong push toward the unbreakable Confidence and Clarity that flows from Standing in one’s own Truth.

So the basic Energy in the Orcus Flying Yoda is the recommendation to Act in such a way that we Unite our Yintegrity and our Yangtegrity.  How would we do that?  Well, in a nutshell, we would withdraw from Commitments that do not serve our Soul’s Path.  How would we do that, having made those Commitments for good reasons.  Well, we’d have to carefully evaluate each Commitment, to see whether the Oath is still relevant, PIAVA to disentangle ourselves from any Archetypes that are not really or no longer Ours to ride, and renegotiate the Commitments that remain relevant so they better serve our own Mission, while we Lovingly and Gently Witness (Empathize with) any Emotional Baggage involved with either process.  

Easy Peasy, eh?  But it defines a Strategy – Both/And, while PIAVAing Peace between the poles of apparent Conflicts.

We usually think of Archetypes as hijacking our Integrity, but we can also think of them as Horses.  If we’re Unconscious of the Archetype that runs our life, it’s the equivalent of being tied to a wild Stallion.  If we Consciously align ourself with an Archetype that’s “going our way,” we may be able to dismount when we need to switch Horses.

We don’t know what time of day Mike Brown first noticed that Orcus was moving relative to the background Stars, so we don’t know if the Pentagram and it’s five-pointed star point up (White Magick) or down (Black Magick) or askew (Grey Magick), and we won’t go into the Mythology here, but suffice it so say that it’s portentous.  

In common parlance the word “Mythology” often refers to what is more or less considered a fanciful or fictional fabrication of how various aspects of Reality are constructed.  We don’t use the word that way; we consider a Mythology to be just another Perspective, and often one that has great Value.  For instance, when you’re dealing with Huper psychology, there are many Mythologies that are far more useful than the Scienterrific Perspective.  Here’s a great example, comparing antidepression drugs to Light Therapy:
