This is the outline we’re using as our template for writing about astroevents. If you want to look ahead a little, and this format speaks to you, go for it.

Version II (this one) includes the Initiation of New Cycles. When planets turn Retrograde and repeat Conjunctions three or more times, the first Conjunction Initiates a New Cycle. A useful metaphor is to think of the Initiating (slower) planet as the Guru giving Shaktipat to the faster planet as if to a Disciple.

The Initiating slower planet provides the Cycle’s Root Message, and the Initiated faster planet becomes the Herald galloping over hill and dale to “Shout it to the Populace,” including the non-Huper and allegedly “Inanimate” Populace. Slower planets Live Deeper in the Solar System (furthur from the Sun), so their influence Lives Deeper in our Psyche. They’re the Heavies.

Initiations are often “Can-Openers” that can Shock us by Opening a New “Can of Worms” that we may not have Felt coming, especially if we weren’t Paying Attention to impending astroevents. If we are Paying Attention, we can often Identify the Energy of the New Cycle as the Initiation approaches, reducing our Surprise or Shock.

Subsequent Conjunctions in the “set” are considered “Expositions” because each one Exposes more about the New Cycle. The final Conjunction of the set is considered a “Confidence-Builder” because by then we Recognize the Energy as it’s Intensifying, and we know we’re Prepared for it.

The best way to Prepare for impending Can-Openers, is to look back over your Experiences with previous Can-Openers of Cycles of the same two planets. When a Transiting (in the Sky now) planet crosses one of your Natal planets, the Can-Opener/Exposition/Confidence-Builder sequence also applies, and again, reviewing previous occurrences of the same Transits are your most effective Homework.

The Energy of a New Cycle is Strongest just before the Initiation and during the Expositions, if there are any. The Energy then turns Underground while it eats its Spinach and Oats. Since Letting Go is not a forte of Western Culture, this period often features an apparent Regrowth of the Energy of the previous Cycle, as those still invested in that Energy try to recoup as much Value as they can from it.

You see that clearly today with the Oil and Coal Industries clamoring for Attention and more Excess Profits, despite our having passed in February 2022 the Initiation of the New Clean-Energy Cycle between dwarf planets Pholus (Being Fully Responsive to…) and Quaoar (…our Survival Instincts).

At the Waxing Square, when the Herald planet is one fourth of the way around the Zodiac ahead of the Guru planet, the New Cycle Energy bursts into Mainstream Attention. That’s 90 Degrees ahead of the Transiting slower planet, not 90 Degrees ahead of the Degree of Initiation. The Cycle’s Energy Blooms at the Opposition, Fruits at the Phitile (222½ Degrees), then Declines until the approach of the next Initiation.

After the Waning Square (when the Herald planet is 90 Degrees behind the Guru planet), the Cycle drops into the Void, and our Task is to begin Cleaning Away the Artifacts of the Cycle, especially the Egoic Artifacts, so we’re prepared to Lead the Shift to the next Cycle.

A Powerful way to Play these Cycles is to Minimize your Reliance on the Dying Cycle after it’s Waning Square, especially any Egoic Reliance you have on it, and Rev Up your Attention to the Energy of the New Cycle. For instance, the pre-Initiation near-Conjunctions between Pholus and Quaoar came within one Degree in March 2018, a few months before Greta began her school protests.

So we had four years to increase our time and energy Investment in Clean Energy before it began to be taken seriously (to the extent that it has) by the adults in the room. Once the Initiation has passed, we can take advantage of the fat and increasing dividends from the Old-Cycle Oil companies, as they milk as much as they can from their sunk Investments, and use those to increase our Investment in the New Cycle.

New Project Week II

As we move into our New Self (asteroid Klotho Stationary 4:30 am PDT 7 June 2021 in 18 Libra), it will behoove us to Attend to our Relationships with Abuse and with Privilege (dwarf planet Nessus Stationary 9:24 am PDT 14 June in 16 Pisces). Though it’s only one of many Challenges that will Confront our Newbie shortly after our Rebirth, Unconscious and Conscious Changes in our Relationship with Abuse and Privilege is probably the biggest one. The intervening Challenges…

• Emotional Intensity (Moon moving Out of Bounds for four days starting 10:57 pm PDT 9 June in 18 Gemini). This hits a peak on 11 June (Moon Stationary in North Declination 25:39 and Longitude 11 Cancer at 9:08 pm PDT), and fades on 13 June (Moon moving back In Bounds at 6:19 pm PDT in 4 Leo).

• Ego Death(s) Required to Let Go of Karma (asteroid Karma moves into Virgo 2:34 pm 9 June). If you have a Journal, Karma was previously in the Sign of Ego Death (Virgo) between 1 December 2020 and 23 January 2021), before it backed back into Leo till 2 April. It’s been moving forward in its third Dance over the last five Duads (2½ Degrees) of Leo since then. This deserves a post of its own.

💥 For now we’ll just say that Virgo is what happens between the Cyclic Culmination of our Individual Identity (Leo) and Meeting Not-Us or Other (Libra). Just as Pisces is about Letting Go of Emotional Baggage so we don’t have to drag it with us into our next Adventure, Virgo is about Letting Go of Obsolete Identities so we don’t mess up our Relationships with Others by “Pretending” (usually Unconsciously) to be someone we ain’t. “Others” includes not just People, but since Everything in the Universe is Conscious, it also includes Everything that we aren’t Being or Owning in the Moment. For example, if you Identify with Loving Nature, prove it to yourself by Inviting a Bird to perch on your finger, without pooping on your hand or giving you Salmonella.

💥 We also need to say that our most troubling Karma is where We Would Rather Die than Feel That Again, aka our “Held Emotions” (South Node). Because most Hupers Believe that we’re Once-Born or Twice-Born, we misinterpret “I’d Rather Die Than Feel That” as “I’d Rather Die Than Feel That,” while it’s really “I’d Rather Die Than Feel That” – Ego Death. We’re just sawing through one of the legs of the three-legged stool we usually sit on. If we Want to minimize Pain, we’d stand up before we did that. But if you know what it means to Go Without an Identity (ie, stepping out of your Identity) for a few minutes, I’d love to know. The Emotion of Confusion is the closest we can come, and we regard Confusion as one of the best Emotions because it’s the Doorway to Evolution. We usually try to suppress it by Figuring Out What’s “Wrong,“ which is one of our most Self-Destructive Habits.

• Illuminations about the State of our Planet and the Likelihood of our Survival if we continue on our Current Trajectory (Annular Eclipse of the Sun 3:52 am PDT 10 June in 20 Gemini [Sabian Symbol “A modern cafeteria displays an abundance of food, products of various regions“], primarily impacting the several weeks following it). It will be visible if you happen to be crossing the North Pole (bring a Boat, that’s cold Water). An Annular Eclipse is one where the moon is far enough from the Earth that it doesn’t quite appear to cover the face of the Sun – an Almost-Total Eclipse. Consciousness Grows by Discovery, not by Invention, and under Eclipses we Discover what’s now missing, that we hadn’t noticed previously. For more details, see https://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/4910.

• An Increase in Selfishness (Mars enters Leo 6:33 am PDT 11 June). Which is not always a Negative thing. We can’t Love Other Fully until we Love Ourself Fully. Given our Illuminations about the State of the Planet and its Huper inhabitants, though, the Greedheads will probably be making another Power Grab. If we Pray enough for it, they might Betray their Heartlessness and be met with Rotten Tomatoes, or better yet new laws about, say, voting, taxing, and legal theft, and new Cultural Norms about Worshiping Wealth. The few Greedheads who aren’t Sociopaths might even have Epiphanies about their own antisocial Greed. Mars will stay in Leo till the end of July.

While we usually just dwell on the Back-of-Hand/Palm dynamics of Abuse and Privilege, we should actually look at the Pros and Cons of each. For instance, having Privilege can make so many things so much Easier. Rather than Gloating about our supposed Superiority as the source of our Privilege, or arming ourself to the hilt to keep the Rabble from “stealing” back what we’ve stolen from them, or Resisting Privilege because we’re Conscious of the Abuse that results and Guilty about it, we might instead find our Gratitude for our Privilege. In 5D where Collaboration outduels Competition, we’ll no long be in a Zero-Sum World, but back in a Natural World where the Sum is Much Greater than its Parts. From a place of Gratitude for our historical Privilege we may be able to Share it or Teach Others how to Enjoy it without creating more Abuse – not like the Missionaries that enabled the Conquistadors, however. How would we avoid that?

As for Abuse, until enough people Unite against the Psychopaths and Sociopaths and Missionaries (which will require that we no longer Worship Wealth and Greed) and enforce a meaningful Equality, the most positive feature I can envision for Abuse, is for it to Inspire us to Delete our Abuse Karma. History of course was written by the Abusers, who were by and large proud of their Conquists, so the Horrors of our Karmic History may be Exaggerated by their Pride, though I’m not naive enough about the Cruelty and Sadism of our Species, or the extreme Privilege of the Abusers, to Believe that any such Exaggeration has been more than slight.

“Trust but Verify” is good advice. During the 1980s, when Pluto was in Scorpio and Recovery was all the rage, I Learned to Ask, “What color is the wallpaper?” to remind myself that most PTSD episodes are Flashbacks and not Present-Moment. The Jungle “wallpaper” of Vietnam, and the Bare Metal “wallpaper” of the Ships, contrasts with even unadorned wallboard, so we could distinguish hallucinations from real napalm, torture, anal probes, and implants. Grounding is always a helpmate (running an imaginary cable from the base of your spine to the center of the Earth), Eating, and Orgasm are reliable Grounders.

Mirrors are always useful, especially when you’re trying to Heal Feelings that aren’t yours, which is not possible. Mirrors are even useful as a first response – when you’re Feeling awful without obvious Triggers, take the first person who comes to mind, and for five to ten seconds hold a wardrobe Mirror between you and them, facing them. If your Feelings become more acceptable, you know you’re trying to run their Emotions through your Body – or, they’re Manipulating you. If you’re being Manipulated, even with the best Intentions, it’s never fun. Most folks are totally Unconscious that they’re Manipulating. Mirrors are a good strategy for dealing with Climate Deniers, Mask Objectors, Gun Freaks, folks who want to Deny your Vote and Control your Body, and other Antichrist Lovers. You won’t need to get into a hopeless morass of Conversation with them, and if you position your Mirror so it Reflects their Energy back at them, they’ll get a bit of their own toxic “Medicine.”

The Big Advantage of using “Then versus Now” tricks, Grounding, and Mirrors, is that they’re Habit-forming. When we’re Vulnerable to Manipulation by Other People’s Energy, it’s because our Programmers “Intentionally” (though probably Unconsciously) carved a Hole in the back of our Aura, so they could reach in and pull our strings whenever they wanted or needed to. It often looks and feels like Shaming. Habitual Manipulators “see” those Holes, usually Unconsciously, so we can be Manipulated by strangers we pass on the street. Our Programmers just thought it was good parenting, and you may do it yourself when your own kids threaten to drive you Batty. As these “tricks” become a Habit, the hole in our Aura actually Seals Up, so not only do the “tricks” become second-nature, they also Heal the Source of our Dis-Ease. When our Will is Healthily Self-Serving, Habitual Manipulators pass us by without a second glance, because we’re useless as an Object for their Power Games.

Issues such as these may Confront our Experiential Infant this coming week. It never hurts to recall that we’re actually an Eternal Energy Nexus (often called an “Immortal Soul”) borrowing a Material Body. Energy can never be Destroyed, only Transformed. Revelation of Denial (dwarf planet Eris) remains Out of Bounds through all of this (until 4:12 am PDT 18 July in 20 Cancer), so don’t be Surprised if New Information about your Personal or Karmic History or Herstory comes into your Consciousness during these Adventures. If you’ve noticed that almost everything above occurs in 16-20 Degrees of one Sign or another, you’ll be checking your natal chart to see what will be Lit Up for you, as your own Energy System meshes with the Planet’s.

All of this is Important, because as we get past the 14 June Exaggeration of Abuse and Privilege (Nessus Station), we drop into a week of very Intense Manifestation Energy, as three Big Energies are simultaneously Emphasized. When Energies Conjoin in Time, it’s as if they’re Conjoining in Longitude – and these Big Fellas are also actually in neighboring Degrees of their respective Signs. The three Energies are Manifestation Itself (dwarf planet Makemake Stationary 6:42 pm PDT 19 June in 6 Libra), Expansion (Jupiter Stationary 8:04 am PDT 20 June in 3 Pisces, and The Opportunity to Jettison Karma Early (asteroid Lachesis Stationary 2:42 pm PDT 20 June in 6 Scorpio).

If as is the case hereabouts, you’re Wondering why the Foundations of your Personal Infrastructure seems to be Falling Apart, each Failure is a Big Clue about the Unconscious Energies “you” are running but not Owning, that Block what you’re trying to Manifest. Take time to Sit with each Failure of Intention or Function, and Merge with it Energetically. The Objective is to Meet each of your Unconscious Blocks as Energy Clusters in the Unconscious, Meet them in Neutral territory without Bias or Judgment on your part, and with an Open Mind Ask the Question, “Is this Energy really My Own, but I’ve been Denying it?”

Mars on the Loose

• Mars (Action) has crossed the Tropic of Cancer heading North, moving Out of Bounds on 21 March 2021 (4:45 am PST). The Moon, rising about two hours before Mars, was also “OOB” North as Mars joined it out there. If your Instincts are Irrepressible, that’s a Good Thing. If you aren’t used to it, you may be heavy-handed at first; Let It Be, as you’ll develop finesse only through Practice.

• Mars returns In Bounds on 24 May (3:23 pm PST), while Mercury is OOB (also North). Mercury may Allow us to Feel the Difference between a Mobilized Mars (OOB) and a Domesticated Mars (In Bounds). If we can Identify and Remember this Difference, we may be Able to Learn to Temper our Outer Self when we’re Overstressed (which could Allow us to Assert Ourself Convincingly rather than Angrily), and Gently Amplify our Deep Self when we need to Set an otherwise difficult Boundary. If you’re PIAVAing this, remember your adverbs – Pray to Do it Effectively and Easily.

• Standing Still (in the N-S Dimension) as it turns Southward again on 22 April (3:05 pm PST) at 24:54 Degrees North in 30 Gemini, and perhaps attempting to scratch the itch in its Jezero Crater, Mars Opposes (Argues With) Ixion (Our Forbidden Genius, on its own OOB Steroids) and as it does it also Quincunxes (Is Curios About) an also-Stationary (in the E-W Dimension) Pluto (Transformation). This may be pretty Explosive, as our Long-Repressed Genius rips off the door of its Cage. Some heavy-duty Truth-Telling is in order. Listen through the Anger, and rephrase it back to the Angry person (“Do you mean you Feel ____ about that?), and don’t Argue with them. If you’re the Angry one, Listen especially to Yourself, and don’t Discount what you’re hearing because you’re Angry – you could be Discovering your Hidden Forbidden Genius. Your Genius may seem Juvenile at first because Long Repression means Arrested Development, but they’ll Grow quickly once we Partner with them. Our Hidden Genius is essential to 5D.

• Mercury is OOB from 6-29 May and from 5-25 Gemini. As it’s making its U-turn and Standing Still at Declination 25:15 North and Longitude 19:02 Gemini on 17 May (1:07 pm PST), the Moon is just returning In Bounds, and Octile (Returning to Balance) to Mercury (Learning about your own Instincts), while the Moon is 19 Degrees from still-Out of Bounds Mars. Nineteen Degrees is a bit of a Magical Angle, as it’s the Square Root of 360, and the 19th Harmonic, which is symbolized by the Sun and the Life Force Acting through Collaborative Partnership that Unifies Male Energy (Dynamism or Doing) and Female Energy (Magnetism or PIAVAing) in Playful Creativity – 5D again.

Meanwhile, in its continuing travels from West to East,* in Longitude Mars while Out of Bounds spans 10:11 Gemini to 19:11 Cancer, with the North-South Station occurring when Mars is at 29:40 Gemini. *When we stand in the back yard and look up, the planets and Stars move from East to West, but that’s because the surface of the Earth is moving under us toward the East as our Mother Planet Rotates. If we take a snapshot of the Sky every night at the same time, we can see all of the Heavenly People making their Pilgrimage to the East (those who aren’t moving Retrograde).

As a tribute to the women in the Mars program, NASA has added a lovely satin skirt to its experimental Mars helicopter “Ingenuity,” and to honor the men, they used golf clubs for its feet – a good example of Collaborative Partnership that Unifies Male and Female Energies in Playful Creativity.

We aren’t done yet, but we’re out of time for tonight. Olav also asked about the “ongoing square/opposition of Nessus/Orcus and Dejaneira (and Nemesis also),” and this asteroid Dejaneira or Dejanira sounds worth exploring, and hopefully debunking its Dark reputation.

Boundaries and Confusion 2

“You are beginning to discover new you in new formats. Perhaps such will be as simple as changing your clothing or as dramatic as moving to a new country. Your internal push is to change your direction, your 3D knowingness in thousands of ways. Perhaps it is the tone of your voice or what you will accept. It does not matter. All that matters is you are beginning to surprise yourself daily. 

“Such actions or thoughts do not seem as large as they are for some of you, for you have adjusted to aspects of new you in ways you have not yet acknowledged. Something you could not imagine thinking or doing even weeks ago is now part of your being. And so it will continue until new you is exposed to you.

“Perhaps that last sentence seems far-fetched, for how could you expose yourself to yourself? We will answer in another riddle, for how could you not? Perhaps you have pretended to yourself that new you would be similar to completing schooling, marriage, or having a child: all dramatic but expected 3D shifts with millions of others completing the same or similar steps.

“Your new you adjustments will be or are far different. You will find a need to do something you do not believe you are prepared for or interested in. Entering these new you aspects with great trepidation only to discover doing so fills a niche you did not realize needed filling. As if your glass was unknowingly half empty. 

“And as you try to be interested in that which was exciting prior to the past few months, you will feel nothing. So your new world is one of exploration, and your 3D world has become boring. Both of which are frightening.

“For the first time since you entered the earth eons ago, new is truly new. Most of you will be exploring pieces of your being and earth you never explored in any other earth life.

“Of course, many of you are wondering exactly what we, of the Universes, are alluding to, and we can only smile. The pieces you explore cannot be defined by us or anyone but you. Perhaps you will suddenly wish to time travel, go within, or study aspects of interdimensional life. 

“Some of you might start this exploration simply with a change within your home. Or you might know what others are thinking before they speak. You might wish to be alone so you can explore other dimensions or frequencies. Or you might join a human/Universal group doing all of the above or something completely different.

“Whatever interests you or brings you joy is the piece you need to explore to determine your next step or action. 

Your new pieces or actions may not seem that dramatic at first, just a bit outside your 3D you. But as the pieces fit into place, you will understand why you wanted to do this and then this. New you is a culmination of activities, just as was true for 3D you in a different format.

“In 3D, you knew which actions would continue the inner action chart you created for yourself. Of course, not all actions ended as you anticipated, but enough did so that you felt you were in control of your life in the 3D framework you created for yourself.

“New you has no idea where your interests will lead, for those actions remain nebulous to you, earth observers, and even those of us of the Universes. For you are playing with new building blocks that can be square, round, a cylinder, star-shaped, or whatever you need. 

“Nothing is as it seemed because you parted the veils that separate 3D solids from the Universal nebulous. Such a statement probably seems unlikely given that you continue your daily routine with little or no change – at least in your mind.

“Your truth is far different. Do you remember the day you shifted from toddler to school child or teen-ager to working adult? Did not those phases seemingly happen to you and most in your age range? So it is now on a different level. You will increase your Universal skills and interests, not by a dramatic chant or a wish to do so; it will just happen. And you will know such has happened by experiencing the result.

“There will not be fireworks or any indication that you are different. You just are or will be. The indicators that such are so are your interests and actions. 

“Some of you are frightened, thinking that this new you is somehow outside the 3D you that you know “so well,” as if you are being invaded by the space creatures displayed in your movies. That we are preparing you for some monster invasion. 

“There is no outside force. There is merely the new you that you created over eons of earth and Universal life you now dare and need to share with others. You are a new being with new actions and interests. Some of which may feel foreign or wrong until you allow yourself to flow with the new.

“It is a given that you will discover new skills and interests. We, of the Universes, have no idea what those new skills will be. Throughout the eons, your role was to hone certain skills for this lifetime so that this new earth rebuild would be of love instead of fear.

“As each of you finds and accepts your rebuild puzzle pieces, the force of love will outweigh any fear you or others might have.

“This earth rebuild is a bit like building a skyscraper. Even though you might have seen the blueprints, you have no idea how the huge hole in the earth could ever be the beginnings of a beautiful building. When you return to the site a few months later to observe the building’s skeleton, you again question the wisdom of those who thought the building possible.

“So it is for you now. You are the architect/contractor of your puzzle piece. The piece that is required now. Not next year or when you feel like it – any more than a building can continue if the foundation is not poured until the cement contractor feels like doing so. This is an en masse project of forerunners and those waves immediately following.

“Even though you are not tasked with the actual rebuild of the earth, you forerunners are the artists who will select the colors and dimensions of the build. You provided the concept so those following can complete it. You will then provide this rebuild’s artistic sense to determine if it is beautiful, fun, or not quite right.

“Your puzzle piece is more artistic than structural.

“Even though you may feel as if you have no artistic skills, you will discover your new earth puzzle piece by following your interests and joys no matter how unusual they might seem to you or others.

“Follow your joy, and everything will fall into place. Try to force your joys, and you will merely move further from your true self, your new earth role.”

Moon Springing OutaBounds

The Spring Equinox chart looks very Benign – a Fire Grand Trine (Dumb-Luck Blessings) among…

• Sun (Essence) entering Aries (Intuitive New Adventures),
• Asteroid Klotho (New Beginnings) on the Cusp of Sagittarius (Letting Go of What’s Obsolete), and
• Dwarf planet Varuna (The Life Force) on the Cusp of Leo (Self-Confidence)

…while…

• Dwarf planets Ixion (Our Forbidden Genius) on the Cusp of Capricorn (Pragmatism) and
• Sedna (Converting Fear to Power) at the end of Taurus (Manifested Form)

…sit at the Midpoints, making an Almost-Grand Sextile (Great Ease with Any Project After We Take the First Step).

That leaves a Vacancy (We have to supply the Missing Energy ourself to make it work) at the Cusp of Libra (Meeting Other). However, asteroid Narcissus is there – handy, since it’s their time to Bloom. The Suggestion is that we should Meet Other with Full Self-Assurance and Nothing to Hide for the next three months. If Other isn’t Receptive to your Confident Vulnerability, it’ll be Their Loss, not yours. It’ll just tell you not to Waste Your Time, as there are an Infinite number of Others in the Universe, and most of them are more Open.

If your Feelings are Hurt by their Rejection, it’s Your Own Pre-Existing Abandonment, and it’s up to you to Own It. Have a good hard look at How it Feels, so you Recognize it whenever it arises, and then be very Loving with Yourself there. Abandonment doesn’t happen in the Present Moment, it’s Karmic, and it’s yours. Rejection might occur in the Now, but so what, that happens frequently and it’s not a Big Deal. When it becomes a Big Deal, it’s because of Contamination from Your Own Karmic Abandonment. Then, Poor-Sweetheart yourself and move on.

We all have varying degrees of Karmic Abandonment and Karmic Suffocation (when, rather than Rejection, we Feel the Need to Reject Other), usually one stronger than the other in our Personality, though we all have both. If your Emotions get involved when you are Criticized or Not Seen, that’s you, not them. When you Feel the Need to Criticize somebody, it’s not about them, it’s about you. Of course the general rule is, If you want to Criticize someone, first walk a mile in their Shoes – that way, when you do Criticize them, you’ll be a mile away and you’ll have their Shoes. Sounds right out of the Narcissus playbook, doesn’t it!

Meanwhile, the Moon…

• Went Out of Bounds (Expect to be more Emotional – and watch how your Intellectual Rationalizations for your own Karmic Limits arise so Effortlessly – that is, how Easy it is to Blame Other) at 7:06 am PDT 20 March 2021 in 19 Gemini, on asteroid Psyche (Jealousy, Goddess of the Soul).
• It reaches its peak Outaboundedness and Stands Still to turn around at 1:35 am PDT 22 March at 26 Degrees North in 11 Cancer on asteroid Vesta (Unconscious Limiting Beliefs).
• It returns In Bounds at 6:18 pm PDT 23 March at 2 Leo on Varuna (Vitality).

It’s Intriguing that, with Narcissus filling the Solar Vacancy, the Moon is Stationary while Merged with (Conjunct) Vesta, but only a Degree from asteroid Aphrodite (Love, Beauty, Passion, Vanity), as it was Aphrodite’s Jealousy that intended to Punish Psyche, who was already dealing with the Jealousy of her sisters. So, in the context of our Vanity, the Out of Bounds (Lit Up) Moon (our Instincts and our Willingness to Manifest our Heart’s Desires) moves from Psyche to Vesta-Aphrodite – Reviewing the status of our Unconscious Self-Love – and then on to Varuna.

The Teaching is that a, if not the, cause of Physical and Emotional Dis-Ease (Varuna) is our Belief that we aren’t Lovable as we Are, so we have to Compete to Obtain Love. Yet Love is about Partnership and Collaboration, the Opposite of Competition.

And if we’re talking about Jealousy, Vanity, and Competition, where is Eris? Aphrodite was one of the three Contestants for Eris’s Golden Apple for the Fairest of them All. We talked about the Waning Square from Pluto to Eris in the previous post. If we’re investing in preparation for 5D, Teachings about Unconscious Competition will be one of our most Valuable Gifts.

Boundaries and Confusion 1

As regular readers know, we focus mostly on planetary Stations – when planets Stand Still in the Sky as they’re about to go Retrograde or back into Direct travel again. We do this because we’ve observed over many decades that this is when planets have their strongest influence on our Lives. Consequently, it’s a relatively straightforward way of cutting through the immense Complexity of planetary interactions and their impact. And because of this, it’s an excellent way to Learn what each planet is about.

But Stations are by no means the only way that the planets impact us, so sometimes we need to branch out. Like this week, for instance. Our Station calendar is blank. Yet we’ve been hearing from a number of people about bigtime Boundary problems, and encountering same ourself. So we scanned the Ephemerides for wayward Mergers (Conjunctions) and Challenges (T-Squares), and checked last weekend’s New Moon chart, which we hadn’t till now examined.

Since New and Full Moon charts impact the following several weeks, the 13 March 2021 New Moon was a prime suspect. What did we find there? The New Moon itself was Merged with The Truth of the Heart (asteroid Aletheia), and Challenged by a Debate (Opposition) between Our Intuitive Knowledge of Our Limitless Potential, and our Resistance to It (dwarf planets Asbolus and Chaos Dancing together) and Growth in Consciousness, or our Resistance to It (asteroid Juno). Well yes, that could stir up all manner of Discomfort for the Ego’s primary task of Supporting the Status Quo, and loads of Confusion as well.

An Aletheia New Moon would give us a Compulsion to Let Our True Feelings Out, but how that looks depends on our Relationship to our True Feelings – are they Deeply Repressed? Difficult for us to Access? Available but only in Private? Available only to a few Close Friends? Known but Regarded as Shameful or Dangerous or Frightening? Openly Accepted? Obvious from the Anthem on our hat? If our True Feelings have never been Accepted, it’ll certainly Trigger our Abandonment. That’s never Fun.

Whatever Adventures are upon us this fortnight, they’re certainly going to be Teaching us a great deal about our True Feelings and Deep Values. If there are actual or imagined gaps between our current or historical Behaviors and our Deep Values, that’s likely to Manifest as Self-Judgment (which is Valid only as a “Fourth Step”) or as Self-Hate (which is never Constructive). If our True Feelings are Hidden from ourself, this is likely to result in Confusion and possibly Despair, as our Life would Feel Out of Control.

The T-Square would seem to have a Clear Spiritual Purpose, to increase our familiarity with our Heart’s Truth and Values (those which are not up for Debate), Open our Intuition (specifically, not our Intellect) to our Unlimited Potential, and accordingly provide a map for the Growth in Consciousness that we need in order to Support an Expanded and Integrated Future for ourself in 5D. If either our Heart’s Truth or our Unlimited Potential frightens us, then we could easily Feel this as a bigger Leap than we’re prepared to take.

Boundary issues could easily arise as we Project onto others whatever parts of this we aren’t prepared to Accept in ourself, and as Others Project onto us what they don’t Accept in themselves.

If we look to see what might fill that yawning Vacancy opposite the New Moon, we find asteroids Pandora (Hope) and Sphinx (Inscrutability). I think that means that there isn’t much we can Do about this, it’s about Being, or PIAVAing.

The Waning Square from Pluto to dwarf planet Eris also indicates that Profound New Self-Knowledge is Forcing it’s way into our Consciousness, and plotting for us as Individuals and Species a potential path through the Decline of the Pluto-Eris Cycle that began in December 1756 and 19 Sagittarius, “Pelicans menaced by the behavior and refuse of men seek safer areas for bringing up their young: The need for people concerned with the future to discover a new way of living and more wholesome surroundings.”

1756. The Declaration of Independence, in what would become the US, was still twenty years in the future. Apparently not taking their experience in the US to heart, it took the British another 62 years to defeat the Maratha Empire and Colonize India. Like the US, they Believed that they were “endowed by their Creator with unalienable Rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of” Profit at the expense of Others.

Captain Cook’s sail-by “Conquest” of Australia was still 14 years hence, and it was 32 years before Sydney became a Penal Colony. European nationalities (most weren’t nations yet) were squabbling as usual, this time in the “Seven Years War” (beats the “Hundred Years War”!), among themselves and with the Russian and the declining but by no means disarmed Ottoman Empire. There was still a remnant “Holy Roman Empire” – in Austria.

The Pluto-Eris Cycle is about how a Culture Suppresses inconvenient Truths, which always return to bite them in the butt, and how it eventually Resurrects these Truths. What is Suppressed, Lives in the Unconscious, and controls our Life from there, just outside of our Awareness, until it is Promoted or Restored into Consciousness. At least one signer of the US Declaration of Independence freed his slave first so he could sign in good faith.

This is the Waning Square, meaning that it’s time for us to Let Go of however we’ve been interpreting the Cycle. Even if we aren’t campaigning to Make America Grovel Again, most of us are still Celebrating our Entitlement. But this has been a long Cycle, begun in the Era of Ben Franklin and Frederick the Great. Can we possibly erase from our Mental and Emotional and Physical Bodies eight generations of Cultural Programming? If you’re feeling like you have no idea who you are or what you’re doing, welcome to the club!

Dropping Self-Sabotage

As we’ve said many times, Karma died in 2012, when Linear Time became Obsolete. But our Karma doesn’t cling to us, we cling to it, because like Dinner and Dessert, it’s what we’re accustomed to. Without it there’s a Big (w)Hole to fill – disconcerting at best, often crazy-making. It’s very Addictive, very difficult to break the habit without Support and Commitment.

Like Alan Watts pointed out, it’s harder to break our Good Karma than it is to break our Bad Karma. That should be fairly obvious – Bad Karma often involves Punishment on one level or another, and Good Karma gets constant positive social Reinforcement, so there’s Motivation for the Bad, quite the Opposite for the Good. Without Motivation, from whence will the Commitment arise? Yet if we want to get to Yintegrity and 5D, we need to Break our Good Karma as well.

Remember that all Karmic Patterns are Profound Skills – simply because we’ve had so much Practice and so many Repetitions with them, in so many different situations. Karma isn’t Good or Bad on the surface, it’s Undesirable because we have no Choice about when to use the Skill – it Operates beneath the level of our Consciousness, whether or not it’s Appropriate and Effective for what we want to Accomplish. In fact, once we break free of the Unconscious Compulsion, we need these Skills, used Intentionally, to Accomplish our Life Mission.

We Believe that Karma is created when we make an Oath or Vow or Promise, or even a Decision, that has Life-or-Death or other serious consequences. Conscious of these consequences, we work hard to forget that we made the Choice, instead Reframing it as Just The Way Things Are. If we can make it a Fact of Life, we’re less likely to Violate it. Through Repetition, we convince ourself that it really is The Way Things Are, and that ends up as an Unconscious – Karmic – Belief in subsequent Lifetimes.

All Karma is Personal. Sure, there are Cultural Patterns and Prescriptions that Act Out like Karma. Like the almost-Universal Practice of scapegoating other Cultures. Once in a while, a Cultural Karmic Pattern can shift on its own. But does that actually Change the World, when all of the folks who Practice it are still Addicted to it? Not until at least a hundred of the “Monkeys,” and probably a lot more, who Practice it have brought it into Consciousness and converted it to a Purposive Skill. Or until (seven?) previous generations move on to their next Adventures.

When asteroid Karma is Lit Up, our Karma is usually in our face. The South Node is similar but different. It includes our Held Emotions, the ones we’d rather Die than Feel. Much Cultural Karma is the result of Cultural or Racial Trauma. We can think of the South Node as Individual or Collective PTSD. The South Node harbors Behaviors that Got Us Dead in other Lifetimes. Those Behaviors were probably Karmic – if they weren’t, we might have Chosen other Skills instead.

We still need those Skills, and there may be a bundle of other Skills that we collected or emphasized in that Lifetime, that we Repressed along with the one(s) that Got Us Dead. This collection of Skills, used Intentionally, is particularly Critical to Accomplishing our Life Mission (the North Node).

Dwarf planet Orcus is in charge of Punishing Oath-Breakers, which would include Karma-Changers. As a fearsome Beast, Orcus helped Enforce our Oaths during Karma-gestating Lifetimes, and that Memory of Terror that’s attached to the Karma may be added to our Fear of what might happen to us if we skip Dinner and Dessert. Asteroid Vesta represents our Unconscious Limiting Beliefs, which are highly correlated with our Karma.

Meanwhile, is our Fate different from our Karma? In many ways, not so much. And there are four asteroids that are named after the Greek Goddesses who were in charge of our Fate. Greek Drama (or at least, our Cultural Projections into Greek Drama) was particularly adept at dramatizing Fate. While it’s easy to view Greek Drama as implying that The Devil Made Me Do It, we can also view it as Information about What We Need to Bring into Consciousness so that we can make Choices that save us from being Victims of our own Fate.

Asteroid Moira is in charge of the whole Process of Unconscious Fate and Conscious Choice. Asteroid Klotho “cuts the cloth” (that’s where our word “cloth” comes from) on which the Tapestry of our Fate is woven. Asteroid Lachesis “measures the cloth,” or determines the Duration of a particular Karmic “Gift.” And Asteroid Atropos is in charge of Endings – literally Death, but we generalize to include the Death of an individual thread of Karma, which is appropriate because the Termination of any significant Karmic Pattern usually requires an Ego Death.

Our Held Emotions are the poster child for this, as they are the Emotions which We would rather Die than Feel. But here we don’t interpret that as We would rather Die than Feel, we interpret it as We would rather Die than Feel – that is, an Ego Death, the equivalent of a Rebirth without an intervening Physical Death.

This has been a significant week from the Perspective of Fate and Karma, as asteroid Atropos (Endings) was very Strong (Stationary) on 10 March 2021 (2:04 pm PST in 20 Cancer), asteroid Lachesis (Karmic Duration) was very Strong (Stationary) on 13 March (7:12 am PST in 18 Scorpio), and asteroid Vesta (Unconscious Limiting Beliefs) crossed dwarf planet Orcus (Oath-Making and -Breaking) on 13 March (2:18 pm PST in 13 Virgo).

In addition (Busy, Busy, Busy), the Lachesis Station, supercharged because it’s Out of Bounds, Complicates (T-Squares) an Argument (Opposition) between asteroid Karma and an Expanded asteroid Moira (Conjunct Jupiter). “Wait! Are you saying that I can Change my Fate? ” Lachesis Measured the Duration of a thread of our Fate, but there’s nothing to prevent us from cheating Fate by bringing that thread into Consciousness Early.

The Vesta-Orcus Merger (Conjunction) makes a major Challenge to (T-Squares) the North Node and the Brightly Lit Up South Node (Conjunct the Great Attractor, an unknown Massive Object or Field pulling the whole Milky Way toward the Midpoint of Sagittarius). “Wait! Are you saying that it was ‘my’ Choices that ultimately created my Limitations? Can I unmake those Choices?“

And the Atropos Station not only gets very Tied Up in issues around Trust (Conjunct Out-of-Bounds asteroid Eurydike), but also issues around Self-Love and Self-Authority (Opposite asteroid Sappho and dwarf planet Hylonome). “Wait! Can I really Trust that Fear of Emptiness is the only thing that inhibits my Freedom, not Dragons? That’s not what my mother and the preacherman told me!“

In addition to Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty and Codependence), Lilith (ditto) is also Activated (Opposing the Lachesis Station and also T-Squaring the Jupiter-Moira to Karma Opposition) – remember what we said earlier about Good Karma and Yintegrity?

Dwarf planet Nessus (Abuse and Privilege) is also involved, as it Opposes Vesta-Orcus and also T-Squares the Nodes, including the South Node that’s glowing like Rudolph’s nose, meaning that it may be a particularly fortuitous time to Let Go of Abuse Karma. And a fortuitous time to jettison Privilege Karma.

That leaves out asteroid Klotho. Are we to endure the Emptiness without the Rebirth of a new Ego? Well, it’s a sleeper, but it’s there. It’s Merged with (Conjunct) dwarf planet Haumea (also symbolizing Rebirth), and at the focus of a Mjölner (Epiphanies) to the Square between Nessus and the North Node. If you look close in the chart below, and your monitor or printer is good enough at color separation, you may be able to distinguish the orange Mjölner lines, pointing to Klotho-Haumea, from the many red (Square and Opposition) lines.

Insights that shift Energies from a Belief that “It’s Just The Way It Is” to “Omigod! I can Change that too?!? ” can count double as Karma-Changers, if they’re followed up by the ongoing Work of substituting Constructive Thoughts and Behaviors for their Karmic forbears. Ultimately, it “Reps” – Repetitions – that shift Self-Sabotaging Karmic Patterns to Habits that we want to cultivate.

For instance, I read this earlier this week…

“Anthony Trewavas described plants as operating: ‘There is no unique separate response to each signal in this complex of informational inflows but merely a response issued from an integration of all environmental and internal information.’ In other words, the organism takes in all the incoming data simultaneously as it occurs and integrates it as one coherent whole, then crafts a response… The amount of incoming data includes trillions upon trillions of bits; when you are talking about Gaia the numbers are close enough to infinity as to make no difference. There is no way that linear processes could be used to generate the increasingly complex innovations on form and behavior that would stabilize homeodynamis. Top-down control here just doesn’t work.” –Stephen Harrod Buhner, Plant Intelligence and the Imaginal Realm, pp.152-3.

Within a few hours I read correlated ideas in three other books on different subjects (by Gay Hendricks, Timothy Hass, and Marko Pogačnik). The result was that I Realized that I’ve been relying too much on Intellect to move toward an important Manifestation that I’m working on, when I need to shift even more than I already am to Intuition and PIAVAs. I Realized that I had been Doubting my next interim Target because I couldn’t imagine what Mechanism would get me there.

Mechanisms are Logical, Known Steps. We can’t Manifest Territory beyond our Known World using Known or Logical Steps. If we could, we’d have done so long ago. We can’t Reach Beyond our Grasp with Dynamic Processes, only with Magnetic Processes.

We aren’t without Blessings to make this process Easier…

Vesta-Orcus and the two Fatefull Stations are all two Signs apart, and they’re joined by three other Sextiles to create a Grand Sextile in Water and Earth – the PIAVA Signs.

There are eight Unxes (two planets one Sign apart, indicated by the short green lines), including at least one Unx for each of the three Stars of this show. Atropos (Endings) gets two such Pattern-Breaking Gifts, one to asteroid Karma itself, and one to the North Node (MIssion) and dwarf planet Asbolus (Intuition, which we’re already Summoning). Asteroid Karma also Unxes Vesta-Orcus.

These three Unxes alone are enough to banish whatever Self-Sabotage you’ve been working on. If you still Feel Stuck on those, check to see if any of them Let Go while you weren’t looking. Try some Easy but Meaningful PIAVAs to see if they work now – that should Ease any Discouragement you have over the others.

The Lachesis-Station Unxes the South Node and Great Attractor, suggesting to me that your Held Emotions may be ready to be Eased into your stable of Permitted Emotions. Remember this fellow from Yellow Submarine? If you Ask him, he can just vacuum them up. So much for unknown Mechanisms.

Busy Week

It’s been a busy week, but unfortunately Life intervened, and I haven’t had time to do the play-by-play, so we’ll have to play Catch-Up. We strive to help youalls see the correlations between what the planets are up to and what your Inner and Outer Circumstances are up to, though, and that’s easier in retrospect anyway, so Catch-Up is my middle name. If you can come to discern how the correlations operate in your own Life, that’ll serve you far better than someone else’s predictions ever would. Someone else’s predictions are either based on some ossified textbook, or on their own Lived Experience, which may be far removed from your own.

The Biggest astroevent here is the 7 March 2021 (8:30 pm PST) Exaggeration (Station) of the Energy of Unlimited Potential (dwarf planet Chaos), in 27 Gemini. The planet Chaos doesn’t stand for Disorder, it stands for What came before Zeus put everything in Order. That is, the Matriarchy. Gemini is the quintessence of Change, and gosh, it does seem like there’s an almost Unlimited amount of Change going on. Chaos will bring Unlimited Potential to Compassion (Cancer) starting next summer (July 2022). Wouldn’t it be Wonderful if we could just Let These Things, like Unlimited Compassion, Happen. Usually, what most Evident instead is everyone’s Resistance. I suppose we could see “America’s Rescue Plan” as Resistance as well, since it’s aimed at restoring what used to be Normal. On the other hand, we could see it as a boon to help get things Changed in our individual and institutional Lives, since the money comes without strings.

One way to Feel the Energy of dwarf planet Chaos, might be to Ask yourself, “What have I been Craving?” Not Addictions, but States of Mind or Emotion or Circumstances, or Manifestation Goals. Then, “Why haven’t I been Giving that to myself?” What? It’s not yours to Give? Who’s is it then? I thought this was a Free Will Planet! Giving yourself Permission to Receive is fundamental to any Manifestation. You may have well rationalized answers to both of the first two questions (Craving and not-Giving). If you can get a handle on why you’ve been depriving yourself, you may be able to Grok what that part of you Wants, rather than what they Don’t Want. You may be able to find a way to score what your Craver Wants and what your Depriver Wants. You could even Dream Up a way that each of them could Help the Other Get What They Want. But the first step is taking the Negative away from your Depriver. Maybe start by renaming them DeepRiver instead of Depriver.

And of course any progress toward Getting What Any Part of You Wants, will Trigger your Upper Limits. I can’t think of a better source than Gay Hendricks’s The Big Leap for dealing with those…

Then there’s the Out-of-Bounds Moon. This is a 22-year Cycle, eleven years In Bounds then eleven years when it goes Out of Bounds for a few days every two weeks. It’s subtle, but our Emotions are stronger when the Moon is Out of Bounds. It crossed the Tropic of Capricorn heading Southeast on 6 March at 12:36 am PST in 20 Sagittarius, Stood Still at 25:10 South Declination on 7 March at 12:40 pm PST in 11 Capricorn, and will cross the Tropic heading Northeast on 9 March at 1:36 am PST in 2 Aquarius. I know, the Moon always goes from East to West, doesn’t it. Well, not quite. You have to take a snapshot every night at Midnight to see it, but the Moon actually moves Eastward about 13 Degrees a day, while the Earth below it spins from West to East. So when we see the Moon heading West, it’s actually us heading East – at about a thousand miles per hour! Feel that 1,000 mph Breeze? Now you know why some people have decided to Trust their Senses and go back to the Flat Earth theory.

Speaking of Trust, asteroid Eurydike (which symbolizes Trust) Stood Still on 5 March (3am PST), and dwarf planet Asbolus (symbolizing our Intuitions) Stood Still on 4 March (8:15 am PST), so you may have Noticed that you weren’t Trusting your Intuitions, or Congratulating yourself because you were Trusting your Intuition! There’s a good chance we were Thinking or Dreaming about how We coulda beena Contenda! – Trusting or Mistrusting our Intuitions about our Unlimited Potential. On this Flat Earth, All There Is Is Now. That means everything that has appeared to have happened up till this Moment, was all Nothing except a Foundation for this Moment. Whether we Enjoyed Success or Learned (Consciously or Unconsciously) from Failure, it was all Perfect Preparation. Each Moment is a Fulcrum, where we can spin the wheel and Shift the Direction of our Trajectory. There’s Unlimited Potential in every Direction – which Direction will we Choose?

And finally, asteroid Pallas, which symbolizes Boundaries, left Aquarius and entered Pisces on 7 March (1pm PST). In Aquarius we were likely Overthinking our Boundaries, trying to make them fit some theory of how we thought they Should be. In Pisces, we’ll probably take them Overboard on the Emotional side, too easily Forgiving those who Transgress but with whom we have an Emotional Attachment, and being Overcasual about our Boundaries with people we aren’t Emotionally Attached to. In general, it will probably be Difficult to maintain Professional Boundaries. We can probably expect more #MeToo fireworks over the next eleven months, till Pallas enters Aries in mid-February 2022. Pallas took only three months to cross Aquarius, but it turns Retrograde in Pisces and spends eleven months there.

A ten-Degree span is called a Decanate, and each Sign holds three of them. The first third of Pisces is the Pisces Decanate of Pisces, the second third the Cancer Decanate, and the third the Scorpio Decanate. Pisces itself is about Emotional Wandering (Mutable Water). Since Emotions can be Compelling, what we Feel in a given Moment may be all we Feel. Even as we can be totally Absorbed by a different Emotion a few minutes later. Totally Clear to us, totally Confusing to Observers with a time horizon longer than a few minutes. Which is Good. That’s how Emotions work. It’s only the Intellect degrading them that would have it be otherwise.

The Emotional Wandering phase (Pisces Decanate) spans the rest of March and most of November (7 Mar-8 Apr, 22 Oct-26 Nov 2021). In the Cancer Decanate our Boundaries are likely to become more Empathetic and Compassionate. That’s April till mid-May, October, and December till mid-January (9 Apr-15 May, 6 Sep-21 Oct, 27 Nov-13 Jan 2022). The Scorpio Decanate in mid-May through August and mid-January through mid-February 2022 (16 May-5 Sep and 13 Jan-13 Feb) will likely be dedicated to Investigation and Judgment. Scorpio’s Relentless about seeking Truth, Emotional Truth that is. If you inadvertently Hurt someone’s Feelings while Pallas is in the Scorpio Decanate of Pisces, you may have a hard time convincing them it wasn’t Intentional. The Emotional Truth is that they’re Hurt, and that’s the Fact that matters.

The upcoming week is about Letting Go of Karma, as asteroid Atropos Stands Still on 10 March, and asteroid Lachesis Stations on 13 March. Atropos is about chunks of Karma that reach their Expiry Date on their own. Since Karma is what we’re Habituated to, though, that doesn’t mean that they Leave. Because it’s almost All That We Know, Letting Go can be difficult, as it leaves us staring into the Abyss of the Unknown. Bad Karma may Feel better than No Karma At All. Lachesis on the other hand, gives us an Opportunity to Let Go of a chunk that we’re sick of but that’s still Alive. Karma does not Hold us, We Hold Karma, so it’s Easy to Let Go of it. Except that the resulting Void can feel very much like “Something’s Wrong.” Watch for that Feeling – it means you’re on the right track.

Fearbruary VII

It’s snow under the bumper, but Mercury was Retrograde from 30 January 2021 (7:51 pm PST in 27 Aquarius) till 20 February (4:51 pm PST in 12 Aquarius). I don’t follow Mercury’s Stations and Retrogradations closely because we get so much practice with it, but it would have been useful to know about this time. The classic interpretation is difficult Travel and Communication. I’ve never pretended to be expert in Communication, but I’ve Traveled with Mercury Retrograde many times, and when I Realize that Loki is afoot, take my time, and respond to glitches with Patience and Humor, the Old Trickster winks and lets me by. Of course, Prayer for a Safe (and Easy, Effective, etc etc) Trip and a Safe Return always helps. This time I didn’t Realize that Loki was afoot, but evidently Prayed enough that He treated me well.

We also received what should prove to be a Delightful Reboot 19 February (3am PST), when the asteroid of New Beginnings (Klotho) was Strong (Stationary) in 3 Scorpio. This Strengthening (Station) Merged With (Conjoined) the Chinese Red Dragon of Enlightenment (minor planet Zhulong). The only major Pattern (Configuration) in the chart was one of Dumb-Luck Blessings (Grand Trine) in Emotion Signs (Water), extended into Directed Dumb-Luck Blessings (a Kite) by the Tension (Opposition) between Respect and Compassion for All Things (asteroid Hopi in Cancer) and Applying our Genius (dwarf planet Ixion…) to Global Climate Change (Conjunct dwarf planets Pholus [Responding to] and Quaoar [our Survival Instincts]). Which is to say…

We also received what should prove to be a Delightful Reboot 19 February, when New Beginnings were Strong. This Strengthening was Merged With the Chinese Red Dragon of Enlightenment. The only major Pattern in the chart was one of Dumb-Luck Emotional Blessings, extended into Directed Dumb-Luck Blessings by the Tension between Respect and Compassion for All Things and Applying our Genius to Global Climate Change. Seems like Texas is written in there between every two lines.

There was though a single isolated Hassle (Square), between our Initiation into the Enlightenment Curriculum (Klotho-Zhulong) and our Vitality (dwarf planet Varuna). And yes, many Texans had the ultimate Hassle with their Vitality, aka Freezing to Death. Realistically, not everyone has the Power to Choose between being an Observer of their Life, and being a Victim of their Life. Everyone has the Potential to make this Choice, and many Remarkable People have risen out of Poverty and lack of Education, just as many Unremarkable People have fallen out of the Elite. Maslow’s Pyramid applies in the first case, as Hunger makes Observation more difficult. There may be an inverse Pyramid for the second case, perhaps where the Need for Effort is what Creates the Need for Observation and Creative Response.

There’s one last Fear Bash in our Fearbruary – on 27 February (3:13 pm PST) in 28 Taurus, Terror (dwarf planet Sedna) Initiates Action (Mars). We may have time later to write about this one.

All this week, Respect and Compassion for All Things will be prominent (asteroid Hopi Stationary 26 February 6:43 pm PST in 7 Cancer). This is the same Hopi that we met earlier in the Red Dragon process.

The Moon went Out of Bounds (we’ll be more Emotional) over the Northern Hemisphere 21 February (1:19 am PST, in 21 Gemini). It will Stand Still at 25:04 North on 22 February (4:12 pm PST in 11 Cancer). And it will return In Bounds 24 February (5:27 am PST in 1 Leo).

I’ve seen several astrologers hold out the threat of two more episodes this year of The Most Important Thing [Saturn] Is to Let Go of What No Longer Serves our Soul [Uranus] (Saturn Square Uranus), or Devastating [Saturn] Disruption [Uranus], or however they frame it to pull customers in by their Victim. The first one was 13-17 February. The other two are at the Ides of June, and the days leading up to Christmas Eve. In my Experience, though, the second and third events of a Triad are nothing like the first. The first event of the trio rips open the canvas we have stretched across our Denial. We actually know what we Deny, we’re just using Denial for Convenience. The second one is Retrograde, and unfolds much more slowly, so we get a better chance to Observe what’s Going On. And by the third one, if we’ve replaced our Victim hat with our Observer hat, we’ve Been Here Done That, and what was a Crisis the first time around, is just another practice session to help us build up our Confidence.

We also have two Sign Changes. On 21 February, dwarf planet Ceres moved out of Pisces and into Aries, which should make it much easier for us to move toward Sustainable Sustenance, since we’re likely to be less Sentimental about what we know that we have to Give Up because we’re outgrown it.

But on 23 February, asteroid Veritas moves into Pisces. Veritas represents Truth of the Mind – “Just the Facts, Ma’am” as Jack Webb used to say. Never mind that there are seven Ma’ams, they’re all Blind, and they all have their hands on very different parts of the Elephant, we Just Want the Facts. Well, okay, we only want the Facts that reinforce our Unconscious Limitations, and aren’t too Inconvenient. So our Facts become Sentimental! Well, we’re just going to have to Agree to Disagree. Otherwise we’ll have to kill each other, and then there won’t be anybody left. Hopefully this will contribute to more people seeing the difference between their Absolute Truth of the Heart and their Relative Truth of the Mind. We can only Share the former, and hope for Respect – there is no Arguing about Absolutes. We can Argue for days over the latter, and still get nowhere – you can’t Pin Down something that’s Relative.

That’s pretty brief, but it should outline the rest of February. Remember that we’re now in the Digital Age. A year ago we were still in Transition, picking and choosing which Industrial Age Patterns we want to keep. The escape hatch back to the Mundane and the Material of Industry closed at the December Solstice. Now we’re sliding down, with very little braking power, into our New Life in the Electromagnetic Theme Park.

Fearbruary VI

Okay, finally we get to what many consider 2021’s most impactful astroevent, the 17 February (11:10 am PST) Saturn-Uranus Square. As regular readers know, we don’t consider Saturn to be a “malefic” planet, as many Ego astrologers do. By Ego astrologers, we mean the astrologers who intentionally or unintentionally don’t like to Challenge a client’s Ego. And by Ego, we mean our Emotional Limitations, the Edge of our Concept Set, and our Identity. And by Identity, we mean what we Believe Defines us. When you hear people preface statements with “I’m not one of those who…” or “I Believe…” or “I can’t stand it when…” or “I’m committed to…” they’re describing their Ego.

The term Ego is often used as an insult to Judge someone whom the speaker thinks has an overly positive opinion of themself, but that’s not how we use the term. The Ego as we use the term is the Essential portion of the Psyche that’s tasked with Keeping Us Alive and preventing us from what we might Experience as a “fate worse than death” or at least grossly unpleasant. Our Emotional Limitations are a roadmap of our Karma, and our Concept Set is the collection of Either/Or Ideas that justify our Emotional Limitations. If you’re hip to computer terms, the Ego is our Operating System, parallel to Windows or iOS. When it’s Hacked, it can make the computer worse than worthless.

We frequently speak of “Ego Death,” because in order to Let Go Of Karma and Advance toward Enlightenment or 5D, we have to Confront our Emotional Limitations. Those are the Emotions that, Consciously or Unconsciously, We’d rather Die than Feel, often referred to collectively as our Held Emotions. When we’re backed up against our Held Emotions, we often feel like I am Dying. This is an effective Survival Mechanism, as it’s possible that Held Emotions can Shatter the Ego, Humpty-Dumpty style. Shattering the Ego is not conducive to Everyday Life or anything else that we usually Enjoy Doing or Feeling or Being – think PTSD, which has the potential to completely replace the Ego with one from an earlier time, one that is not at all compatible with Current Life.

It’s highly recommended, but seldom convenient and often highly inconvenient, that when the Ego Shatters, we should avoid Doing anything else until we somehow Reconstitute the Ego, simply because we’ll screw up whatever we Do while our Ego is Shattered. We can see this clearly illustrated in the continuous melee surrounding the Antichrist, who is Expert at Shattering other people’s Egos. There are several planets involved in these processes…

Lilith represents our Self-Sovereignty or Codependence. Codependence is actually a very effective Strategy for dealing with Ego-Shatterers. Like all Karma and Habits, it’s a Powerful Skill when used in appropriate situations, but a crippling Dysfunction when used in all situations. I’m reminded of a scene in a Mel Gibson movie, where a giant of a fellow seems to be about to pummel Gibson and Gibson says, “Are you going to kill me?” The giant replies “Whatsamatta, you Scared?” and Gibson say, “Nah, just trying to plan my day.”

Dwarf planet Eris symbolizes Revelation of what’s been Denied. Like Codependence, Denial is a very healthy and effective Survival Strategy, when it would not be Safe for us to have our Ego Shattered by having our Held Emotions Opened Up abruptly and without Support. We certainly need Emotional Support when our Ego is Shattered, and we may need Financial Support while we rebuild our Operating System, as we can’t always do it overnight.

Dwarf planet Chariklo is about Self-Confidence and Self-Doubt. This is more about having our Concept Set Blown Up, so we no longer know what makes the World Go ‘Round. If we aren’t sure how “the World,” or our Culture, or a different Culture that we’re dealing with, works, we can unknowingly insult and upset people, so they disconnect from us. Since every Family has its own Culture, this can cripple a Sensitive child. Actually, every person has their own Culture, it’s called their Ego.

Pluto, as Challenger and Transformer of Trances, is totally involved, because the Ego, and Culture, and overall Huper Experience (such as Linear Time and Separation), are “just” Trances. That’s why Pluto is associated with Death. From the Soul’s Perspective, every Death is “just” an Ego Death.

Dwarf planet Orcus, Oath-Making and -Breaking, is all about the Decisions and Vows and Promises that, once Internalized and reinforced by Repetition, became our Inertial Karma. Physical Death is one thing, but a Physical Death accompanied by a Vow Never to do that again, where that is what appeared to lead to our Demise, is a good candidate for what Created our most persistent Held Emotions.

We should probably also mention asteroid Nemesis, which we interpret at Guilt. Unconscious Guilt in particular plays out like a Held Emotion.

Held Emotions are signified by the South Node. That’s where our Repressed Karma Hides. And in turn, Hidden under the South Node, are the precise Skills that we need to Recover in order to Complete our Mission (North Node) in the Current Lifetime.

But, back to Saturn. I’ve observed over the years that when Saturn is Lit Up, I’m being Asked to Let Go of everything except The Most Important Thing. That may be our Mission, but it also may be an Ego Trip that approximates our Mission. Since our Mission is Multidimensional, we can Intuit it but never Understand it Intellectually. Consequently, we dream up Ego Trips that are Compromises between our True Mission and our Current Understanding of the Edges of it. If we Fail at The Most Important Thing, that can result in a serious Ego Death, which in Western Cultures is anathema.

So we like to Create Fallbacks and Backups, which are easier and more accessible than our Mission and its Surrogates (especially if we continue to Avoid our Held Emotions), and where we can Enjoy the smaller Rewards of Success. So when Saturn Asks us to Give Up all but The Most Important Thing, it’s our Fallbacks and Backups that take the heat – and that’s where we get most of our Ego Gratification, so we hate the idea of Giving them Up, and we’re Scared that they might not be there when we get back, like Art Garfunkel’s Cecillia. And that’s what feels like Limitation.

So Ego astrology might interpret Saturn-Uranus Challenges as potential Disruption (Uranus) of the Ego (Saturn) – just what we’re trying to Avoid when we eschew Ego Death, or definitely as Disruption of the Status Quo (Saturn). Here’s an excellent example of a good Saturn-Uranus interpretation where Saturn is seen as an Antagonist…

Nothing there to disagree with – Isaac paints a Realistic picture of where our Home Planet is heading, and Realism or Pragmatism is one aspect of Saturn. But we look at the picture from a slightly different Angle, when we interpret Saturn-Uranus as The Most Important Thing (Saturn) Is Your Relationship to Your Soul (Uranus). Isaac gets there – for instance, “Listen to your heart of Hearts…trust your intuition. Trust your Self. Trust in Spirit. There is no higher authority than what resides within you,” just using a different highway.

But now this is a Square, so we should be looking for a Challenge in the Relationship between our Soul and our Priorities. That’s not hard to imagine, for the very reason we talked about earlier, having to Give Up our Fallbacks. By the way, I’ve always been Surprised and Delighted that my Fallbacks seem to have entered Suspended Animation while I focused on Priority Number One. When Saturn’s Impact Dims and I can return to my Fallbacks, they’re always right were I left them.

This particular Saturn-Uranus is a bit more urgent, as Saturn and Uranus make one wing of a T-Square (the red triangle), or Big Challenge…

In the base of the T-Square, where we often find the nature of the Challenge, the Moon (Instinct) has joined Uranus. Isaac uses the word Intuition, but Instincts are a form of Intuition. The other side is noteworthy – minor planet Zhulong, the Chinese Red Dragon of Enlightenment. We could maybe frame that as Evolution of our Instincts, so they come to derive more from the Immortal Soul (Uranus) than from the Survival of the Flesh (Saturn).

The other four Squares form a Grand Cross (big red cross in a big red box, here standing on one corner), a Balanced Configuration that might get us running around in Circles, but being Balanced, the four Challenges Complement one another. There is however, a naked Square, between asteroid Nemesis (Guilt or Ego Death) and Dwarf planet Gonggong (formerly known as “OR10”), meaning Intrusive Memories. Excellent Opportunity to Clear our Guilt Karma – we just need to Remember to make them Flushbacks instead of Flashbacks, by ignoring the Emotional and Intellectual Content of the Memories, and instead putting our Attention on Loving the Emotions as they are, without trying to make them into something different. Eschewing Rejection of All of our Emotions may be the fastest path to Enlightenment.

The components of the Grand Cross are worth mentioning. The horizontal axis is Chiron (Despair and Miracles) Opposite dwarf planet Makemake (Manifestation), giving us the Opportunity to Examine and Let Go Of any places where our Unconscious Despair (Belief that What We Want is Impossible) Limits our Ability to Manifest. Remember that Manifestation isn’t just Material. We can Manifest Feeling Good even when we’re being Loving with our Worst Emotions, we can Manifest Enlightenment, you name it. The quickest way I know of to Convert Despair to Miracles is with Self-Empathy, which we can implement as easily as saying to ourself, “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re Feeling Despair, aren’t you” and then Changing the Subject.

The vertical axis is between asteroid Hopi (Respect for All Things) on the one hand, and the triad (“Stellium” in astrologuese) of dwarf planets Pholus (Willingness to Respond) and Quaoar (our Survival Instincts), and asteroid Sappho (Self-Love). An obvious interpretation would be for us to Learn to Respect Climate Change (Pholus-Quaoar) as a necessary Evolutionary process. We could also interpret it as a suggestion to see the Innocent Victims of Climate Change as very Worthy of our Respect instead of seeing them as poor dupes that Modern Civilization has through its Glorious Superiority had to Decide to “Leave Behind” because “there wasn’t enough room on the boat.”

Another Karma-Creating Decision – Unconsciously we know that if we can Leave them Behind, They (the next rung up on the knotted Social Rope) can Leave us Behind, hence our Cultural Anxiety Karma. Worse yet, we routinely and Proudly Exploit the Underpuppies, which leaves us Unconsciously and Karmically Paranoid, knowing that The Top Dogs are likely to Exploit us at any minute. And worse, we Know that They Already Do. Just because we’re Paranoid, doesn’t mean the Bastards aren’t out to get us. And we wonder why we’re Addicted to War. By the way, did we mention dwarf planet Nessus (Abuse and Privilege) as another planet that’s tightly intertwined with these Trance processes?

It’s a very busy chart, the Saturn-Uranus Waning Square, with seven “Unxes” (two planets one Sign apart, indicated by the short green lines), signifying the Opportunity to easily Break Patterns about how each of the two planets relate to the other. For instance, we may have a Habit of allowing our Intrusive Memories (Gonggong) to invoke our Despair (Chiron) instead of Recognizing the Opportunity to let them invoke Miracles, as we Poor-Sweetheart ourself. And we may have a Habit of Receiving our Intrusive Memories as Bummers (Saturn as Limits) rather than The Most Important Thing (Saturn as Priorities) to Let Go Of to Lighten our Karma.

And again, we need to Recognize that this is a Waning Square. Yes, it’s still a Challenge, but it’s a Challenge to Let Go of our old Patterns in the Relationship between our Ego and our Soul, namely the Patterns embedded in the Saturn-Uranus Cycle that’s Waning, the one that began at – and kernelized – the Harmonic Convergence, on 12 February 1988 in 30 Sagittarius.
