Self-Abandonment Full Moon II

I hope you didn’t blind yourself trying to see that well-advertised Mercury Transit Across the Sun.  These kinds of Transits get astronomers very excited, but astrologically I’m very nonplussed by them.  Here’s a view that won’t blind you…

Here’s a newsy article on Negative Self-Talk that’s quite relevant to the 12 November 2019 Self-Abandonment Full Moon…

https://www.seattletimes.com/life/wellness/stop-negative-self-talk/

“Do you subscribe to the belief that verbally beating yourself up — whether in your head or in front of others — is the key to eating better, exercising more, losing weight and otherwise becoming a more “worthy” human?  In our diet-obsessed culture, there’s a pervasive idea that shaming ourselves about our perceived food failings and body inadequacies is motivating.  Well, it’s not…”

Which is of course true for everything else, not just nutrition.  New and Full Moon charts apply most strongly to the two weeks following the event.

With a Full Moon emphasizing Self-Criticism (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2019/11/10/self-abandonment-full-moon/), we couldn’t help but wonder what was going on in Virgo, and it turned out to be busy.  Virgo is the Transition Sign between the peak of Self-Appreciation in Leo and the Discovery of Other in Libra.  Without Virgo tempering our Self-Appreciation, Libra would be a battleground of Egos Demanding Recognition.  So the major theme of Virgo is Ego Death.  But Ego Death is not a familiar concept to most people – many people don’t even seem to realize that they are several Entities apart from their Ego.

And is asteroid Nemesis, which itself symbolizes Ego Death, still in Libra?  Yes, it is, and not only that, it’s recently been Initiated by dwarf planet Orcus.  That means we’ve recently begun (31 October 2019, 4:30 pm PST) a new five-year Nemesis-Orcus Cycle.  Orcus is the Enforcer of Promises, Vows, Oaths, and Decisions, which too often morph into Limiting Beliefs and too often become Karmic or Unconscious.  Letting Go of a Limiting Belief usually requires an Ego Death, because to do so we need to Face Down the Enforcer in order to Revert the original Vow.

The new Cycle began at 12 Virgo, “After the wedding, the groom snatches the veil away from his bride” – abruptly shattering the Bride’s Egoic Mask.  The Bride is a symbol for Psychological Integration, so the Degree asks for an end to guile, though as is the wont for Male Energy, in it’s violent guise it’s unlikely to succeed.

The chart of the Initiation is a tremendous Double Blessing (a double Diamond Star, or two Self-Resolving Challenges).  Orcus is about Making and Breaking Patterns or Habits, and can be a tough taskmaster.  But the two Poles of the Double Blessing are Ending Obsolete Timelines or Patterns (asteroid Asbolus) and Starting New Timelines (asteroid Klotho).  Not only that, but the Patterns up for Reversion are about Abuse and Privilege (dwarf planet Nessus), our Mission (the North Node), and Karmic Habits of Giving Away our Power (dwarf planet Hylonome Conjunct the South Node).

The chart…

If we’re talking about Patterns of Allowing ourselves to tolerate Negative Self-Talk, we also need to ask where asteroid Sappho, symbolizing Self-Love, is – and it’s in Virgo!  The themes in the Sappho chart for the time of the Orcus-Nemesis Initiation are many, and Powerful…

  • Energies Flowing toward Compassionate Self-Sovereignty (Lilith in Pisces Opposite Sappho, at the Head of a Kite).
  • Emphasis on the Creative Potential that lies beyond our Limiting Beliefs (dwarf planets Chaos/Unlimited Potential and Asbolus/Intuition in a Diamond Star on one corner of the Sappho Grand Cross).
  • Powerful Expansion of Sustainability (Jupiter and asteroid Ceres on the fourth corner of the Sappho Grand Cross).
  • A New Beginning emphasizing Compulsive Self-Respect and Tolerance like the Indigenous Foundational Principle we mentioned in the previous post (a Square from dwarf planet Haumea/Rebirth to Pluto, dwarf planet Chariklo/Self-Confidence, and asteroid Hopi/Respect for All Things, with Haumea at the focus of a Finger of God and Pluto et al in the foot of the Chaos Finger of God).
  • An emphasis on Becoming Aware of and Revising Unconscious Beliefs (a Finger of God to asteroid Vesta/Beliefs from Haumea and Jupiter-Ceres).
  • Solid Grounding (Sappho Grand Trine in Earth).

As our Chief Asteroid Officer used to say, “You can’t make this stuff up!”  The Blessings just keep Raining down on us.

The Sappho chart…

    Thanks, from this Virgo…. 😉

  2. Bob (in Australia) Says:

It would seem counter productive to attempt to categorize the energetic vibrations available to us on a collective level from this Orcus-Nemesis Initiation from a 5D perspective. Perhaps it is best veiwed as a potential DNA map for any imaginable matter in the universe including our global consciousness. The secret is not to impose any blueprint offered by a 5D construct especially as it relates to our global warming challenges onto 3D solutions. These solutions will materialize as a matter of course from our shift in awareness. We have the potential collectively to reach the critical mass as indicated where our 5D perspective on what is necessary to address these these challenges is felt and understood on a spiritual level and will filter like osmosis to dualisitic solutions. If I believe this and so do you, and so do you from every corner of the planet then we will see evidence of this in our decision making processes ” vis a vis” not tolerating any more activity that will result in further global damage and will instead focus on any and all solutions to remediate on a global collective level. This might seem simplistic but there is evidence that this is actually occuring. so in the words of Alexander Pope, Hope Springs Eternal !
