Trust III

Here’s the Eurydike Station chart…

First thing we notice is the red triangle (T-Square), symbolic of Challenge.  Its focus is an astrological symbol for Codependence (dwarf planet Hylonome, the Y-on-a-unicycle), which means that our Identity is Entangled with another Entity.  The basic difference between Empathy and Codependence is that an Empath Knows that the Experienced Emotions are not their own; a Codependent does not.  Many Empaths are Unable, Unwilling, or Untrained to shake off the Emotions of others, but that’s a separate – and complex – issue.

The base of the triangle contradistinguishes (Opposes) the symbol for Boundaries (asteroid Pallas, a diamond on a cross) with the symbol for Ending TimeLines (asteroid Atropos).  A TimeLine can be a Lifetime, any episode of one’s Life, a particular Habit that plays a prominent role in one’s Life for a period of time, or any other interaction between Time and Life.  So this T-Square comes down to a Challenge to Consciously Create New Kinds of Boundaries that Eliminate Unproductive Codependence.

Classic examples – Learning to Love while Acknowledging and Celebrating Difference; Holding a Job without Identifying with its Role or Allowing it to Define our Security; Trusting our Resilience to Survive in almost any Circumstances; The Ability to stick to a Budget when our Expenditures Define Who We Are.

When we Believe that we’re someone that we aren’t, we’re usually Confused about our Values, because we are trying to Live from two different Hearts.  We can’t really Trust ourself, because we aren’t always Acting to our own Benefit.  In Supporting someone else’s Values, we can Betray our own, Abandoning ourself.  We have to Remediate this Consciously, because if we do it Unconsciously (by Blaming the Other and Leaving the Relationship for instance), we Learn nothing and will Repeat the Self-Abandonment.

This interlude of focus on Trust provides an Opportunity for becoming Conscious of our Codependence and taking steps to Remedy it.  Notice that the Stationary Eurydike connects the two ends of the base of the T-Square, but with blue lines (a Trine Bridge).  Blue lines symbolize Grace, indicating that Trust is an alternative to Codependence here.  Trusting that the Person or Job or other Entity or Object that we’re Codependent with has our own interests at heart?  I don’t think so.  I think it would be more about Trusting that we can Survive on our own, without Sacrificing our Identity to an Outside Object, or at least to the Outside Object that’s Lit Up for you now.

Codependence/Hylonome also connects the two ends of the long red line that is a Contradistinction (Opposition) between the symbol for Abuse and Privilege (dwarf planet Nessus, the N-on-a-Unicycle) and Making or Breaking Oaths (dwarf planet Orcus).  We can read this as Forgiving our Codependence when it Protects us from Abuse, and that may be relevant in some cases.  But in the context of Growing Consciousness, it’s more likely to be about Becoming Aware of situations, through our Codependence, that Allow us to identify a source of Oaths we’ve made in the past which Limit us today.

For instance, if I have a Codependent Relationship with Money, did I make a Decision sometime in the past never to appear Poor?  If so, was that Decision based on Pride?  On the obvious correlation between Poverty and Powerlessness?  How old was I when I made such a Decision?  What else was going on at the time in my Family of Origin?  Was a Past or Parallel Life involved?

The long green lines (Quincunxes, connecting planets five Signs apart) are all about Curiosity, especially Curiosity of the sort that Inspires genuine Interest, not to “Figure It Out,” but to Fully Appreciate its apparent Uniqueness and Difference.  There are three such Questions, each relating to a short green line signifying Pattern-Breaking (Unxes, connecting planets one Sign apart)

  • I Wonder (Quincunx) which Oaths (Orcus) I can Trust (Eurydike) to Reveal (Unx) the sources of my Codependence (Hylonome) so I can Let it Go.
  • I Wonder how I might modify my Boundaries (Pallas) in order to Break my Habit (Unx) of Trusting (Eurydike) my Privilege (Nessus).
  • I Wonder what Oaths (Orcus) I can Revert (Atropos) to curtail (Unx) Abuse (Nessus).

Lots to Wonder about, and a few days off to Indulge in Wondering, as our next major astroevent isn’t till the 2 July New Moon.  However, the New Moon is in the same 11th Degree as the Eurydike Station, so these same planets are involved, and many of the same Angles.  So we’ll be continuing to work with these issues.

For instance, the New Moon Opposes Hylonome/Codependence and T-Squares Pallas/Boundaries.  Moira/Choice has moved into position to create a Yin Gate with its Opposition to Eurydike/Trust, indicating a Mysterious Non-Dual Relationship between Choice and Trust.  We’ll map all this out soon.
