Confusion and Growth

The New Moon isn’t the Star of its own chart here.  Neptune is, as should be obvious from a glance at the chart…

Neptune is not only the focus of a Challenging T-Square (the red triangle), but also the apex of an Epiphanic Mjölnir (the big orange wedge).  The New Moon does provide an Easy Path (Trine Bridge, the blue lines) through any Difficulties that might arise.  What does this Easy Path look like?  As we suggested in the previous post, find it by Staying as True as you can to your uncontaminated Deepest Desires.

The orange Octiles and Trioctiles dominate the chart.  Nothing like the vibrant Grand Octile in https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2019/01/18/self-judgment-and-self-love-iv/, but impressive nonetheless.  Octiles are about Adjustments, Trioctiles about Bringing Things Back into Balance.  We can use some of that.  A lot of it actually.

The Neptune Mjölnir combines two Trioctiles on a Square (Challenge, red line at the base) between Boundaries (Pallas) and the Life Force (Varuna) – there are places in our Life where we Resist certain kinds of Experience, and the Resistance eats away at our Life Force.  We Resist these Experiences because they Confuse us, and we’re very Vulnerable when we’re Confused.

Folks might try to tell you that this Vulnerability is exactly what will Heal, but you won’t Hear it.  But there’s a good chance that you’ll encounter Insights in the next few weeks that you will be able to Hear.  It’s likely that these Insights will have something to do with Self-Love (Sappho), and will help you shift your Identity from Defending your Masks to Supporting your Soul (Uranus).

The New Moon itself is Octile to Chiron (Despair/Miracles) and to Venus (Values), signifying that we’re due to be Adjusting our Values so they are more Invigorating (or even Thrilling) than Limiting.  If you get stuck, use your Poor-Sweethearts“You Poor Sweetheart, you won’t let yourself Enjoy what you Really Want, will you.”  You Believe you’re a Victim of this, that someone else is somehow the Perp.  But they aren’t, it’s you.

That’s Hard, because you can’t just Betray your own Values.  They’re there for good reasons.  Besides Letting other people Down you’d feel like you’ve Let yourself Down.  So what to do?  Well, you can Change the Subject after you Poor-Sweetheart yourself about Depriving yourself of Enjoyment.  Your mind can’t solve this or any other Neptune problem, and it’ll try damn hard to do it.  Sound familiar?

Poor-Sweethearting and then Changing the Subject is a Powerful Invitation for your Intuition to suggest Alternatives to what you’ve been doing all of your Life, Alternatives that your mind will never think of.  You may not even see them as related to your Resistance to Self-Love, till long after you’ve Opened Up to them.  If it’s hard to Change the Subject because your mind keeps returning to the “Problem,” go deeper.  “You Poor Sweetheart, you can’t Change the Subject, can you.”  Then Change the Subject.  The mind isn’t easy to outsmart, but Patient Persistence helps.
