♥ The spacecraft that flew by Pluto in 2015 will fly past an asteroid or iceball in the Kuiper Belt tonight. They call it “Ultima Thule” (pronounced Tool‘-ee) meaning “Waaay Out in the Sticks and then some.” It’s official names include “2014 MU69” and “486958” – use those identifiers if you ever want to look up its ephemeris. As you can imagine (since that’s where the spacecraft still is), it’s near the Longitude of Pluto, in 17 Capricorn.
Today it’s Conjunct (Merged With) Chariklo (Confidence) and asteroids Karma (Self-Sabotaging Patterns) and Atropos (Endings); Opposite asteroid Moira (Fate/Choice); and Quincunx (Curiosity) to Asbolus (Intuition) and asteroid Sappho (Self-Love). That is, in 2019 and particularly now at New Year, if we have an Open Mind, we’ll likely Realize that we can Choose to End Self-Sabotage.
In its June 2014 Discovery chart, Ultima Thule also Opposes Moira, Trines (Blessings) Atropos and Pallas (Ending Inappropriate Boundaries), Quincunxes Lilith and Bee-Zed (Transcending Self-Sovereignty or Resistance to it), and Trioctiles (Insight about) Sedna (Fear/Power). That is, Ultima Thule Illuminates Choice, Blesses the Ending of Inappropriate Boundaries, invokes Curiosity about Transcendence of (Resistance to) Self-Sovereignty, and provides Insight into the Conversion of Fear to Power. Busy Busy Busy!
If we’re Ready to Let Go of Protection and Allow Vulnerability to keep us Safe (which Readiness requires a good deal of Fear-to-Power Conversion), Ultima Thule will hold our hand as we do. Of course a fundamental part of Vulnerability is the Ability to Allow Confusion and Curiosity to Exist without trying to Squeeze them into the little boxes of our Current Concept Set. We could probably use Vulnerability as our synonym-of-convenience for Ultima Thule.
Most of us though, will more likely be Delighted – if trepidatious – to find that Ultima Thule helps us Let Go of our Codependence and Transcend our Resistance to Claiming Our Self-Sovereignty.
Which is “coincidentally” a rather profound comment on this week’s primary theme, Manifestation. There’s a very subtle Edge between Fake It Till You Make It (or Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway) and Trust The Process. When we Trust the Process we’ll Respond to Setbacks by PIAVAing Clarity, Tapping Out our Resistance, and Revising our Theta Command or other Intention.
The more we can Own our Sovereign Right to Command What We Want from Reality with Complete Confidence, the faster we’ll Manifest it. We’ll be Excited about Setbacks because they Illustrate Resistance that was heretofore Unconscious. Unconscious Resistance is Exactly what Limits our Ability to Create Our Own Reality, and getting Resistance into Consciousness, where we can work with it, is the Path to Sovereignty over Matter. If we’re Discouraged about Setbacks, we need to Poor-Sweetheart ourself, Tap Out our Discouragement, and Revise our Theta Command or other Intention accordingly.

We usually, for good reason, focus on the next astroevent upcoming, because that’s the one that usually has the Strongest Energy Field. But that doesn’t mean that the astroevent that will follow behind it isn’t already impacting today’s Energy too. In the Olde Days, before there were so many dwarf planets, we used to consider an astroevent to be Active when it was within one Degree of Sensitivity (or “Orb” as old-school astrologers call it).
But some of these new dwarves are so far out there that it takes years for them to travel one Degree! What if we looked at the whole 3-12 January Cluster of astroevents as one event. How much Sensitivity would we need? Let’s look. As of 28 December…
Lachesis (Choosing Timelines) is 38 Arcminutes from its 12 January Station – a little more than half a Degree
Eris (Revelation) is one Arcminute from its 10 January Station – one sixtieth of a Degree
Uranus (Soul) is two Arcminutes from its 6 January Station
Makemake (Manifestation) is less than one half Arcminute from its 3 January Station
So there’s no question that all these events are going on now. We read them one or two at a time for convenience, not accuracy. In fact, Sedna (Fear/Power) is only ten Arcminutes from its 1 February Station, and that’s five weeks away! So keep in mind there’s an undercurrent of Fear and Power beneath everything we’ll be talking about here.
All of these are Stations, and when we’re Consciousabout them, the impact of Stations increases up until the event is Exact, then it drops off sharply. When we aren’t Conscious, we can Personalize the Energy of the event, and in some cases carry it with us for the rest of our Life and beyond. Looking at Sedna, for instance, knowing it’s Lit Up, when we Sense Fear we’ll Respond, “Oh, there’s that Fear in the Air, what a great Opportunity to study how it Feels, how people React, how I would usually React, and how I might Respond – if I even need to do anything except Observe.”
If I didn’t know Sedna was Lit, I’d be more likely to think, “I’m Scared! I must be Scared of such-and-such. I better Protect myself from that. Let me see, how can I do that…” Well, of course there’s a Learning Curve, but Vulnerability is the best Protection there is, because with nothing to hide, there is no need for Protection. So this Reaction would take us backwards. And you can bet that virtually All of us have Karmic Habit Patterns to Armor ourself against Fear and Power.
So our non-Conscious Reaction actually cements our Karma in place more Strongly, rather than Liberating us. Every Repetition of a Pattern makes it Stronger, Easier to Repeat, and Easier to Forget that it’s Karma and not “Just the Way Things Are.” This is exactly how we got from Lemuria to our “Modern,” Limited, Shrinking World! And exactly the Opposite of the kind of Patterns we Want to Research, Rehearse, and Repeat if we crave the Unlimited Effortless Collaborative Creative Flow of 5D or “Ascension.”
So let’s start our Adventure in Consciousness with Lachesis – Choosing Timelines. Not Choosing our Timelines is synonymous with Karma. So the first prerequisite for Choosing a New Timeline is Knowing that we have the Option to do so. Knowing that Lachesis is Stationary or Strong will remind us of that. The second prerequisite for Choosing a New Timeline is that we’re Aware that a Limiting Timeline is Karmic. That’s not always evident.
One of the greatest tools we have for Breaking through that Paper Tiger, though, is Eris – Revelation. Eris is about Becoming Conscious of what we’ve been In Denial about. So the near-simultaneous Stations of Lachesis and Eris is a great boon for us.
(Another great tool for this is Orcus – Pattern-Breaking – but it isn’t Stationary till 23 May. How far is it from its Station now? Two Degrees. Nothing like the Intimacy of our current Cluster, but not so far that we can’t Intend to Invoke it anyway.)
And of course the quintessential Pattern-Breaker is the Twelfth Harmonic or Unx Angle – “Unx” means one twelfth. The Uranus Station, for instance, is Unx to both Chiron (Pain/Miracles) and Sedna (Fear/Power), so we can Trust that we can make great Progress Releasing our Karma, and getting closer to Identifying with our Soul, by Poor-Sweethearting our Fear! You want to very quickly Cancel-Neutralize-Upgrade any Negative Thoughts that arise this coming week, because we will be Learning Big Lessons about just how Powerful we are as Creators. One more thing. The impact or New and Full Moons is Strongest in the two weeks following the event. The 5 January Partial-Eclipse New Moon Conjoins asteroid Atropos – Endings. Specifically, Ending Timelines. That’ll create vacuums where New Timelines will be Easier to slide in. Once you Discover that you no longer need an Old Timeline, don’t dwell on it. Just Declare your Intention to Let It Go and Change the Subject. (I try to Avoid “Releasing” anything because I don’t want the Universe thinking I want to Renew my Lease on it, so I stick with “Let It Go.”)

Its main feature is a Grand Cross (the red square), which occurs when four planets are more or less evenly spaced around the Zodiac. While a Grand Cross is made up of four T-Squares (the four overlapping big red triangles), and a T-Square Challenges us to become Adept at something, a Grand Cross is usually a little easier because, being Balanced, the Lessons usually aren’t as Difficult. Also, the Challenges are frequent and interrelated, so with additional and more varied practice, we’re likely to become Adept sooner – and particularly Adept at Multi-Tasking.

Realizing (Eris) that their Life is being Sabotaged by lack of Self-Confidence (Pluto-Chariklo), Learning to Recognize the Emotions that Trigger their Self-Doubt (Moon-Moira), and Setting Boundaries to Prevent these Emotions from Fragmenting their Personality (Aletheia-Pallas)
…or something like that. I’m sure most of us could write a short story about when we’ve gone through this process ourselves, which we’ve probably done many times. Like when the school bully called us names that hurt, and our Mentors encouraged us to find alternatives to running home in tears or taking a swing and getting our ass kicked.
Sticks and stones and all that, pretty fundamental stuff, but I’m sure you can think of far more subtle parallels. It would Behoove us to think up current situations where Certain Emotions Challenge our Ability to Keep our Act Together, as every astrological adventure is an Opportunity to make Life flow more smoothly, and this one is no exception. If we could become Conscious of those Emotions and Learn new Responses to them, chances are we wouldn’t just be Expanding our Consciousness, but also Letting Go of our Karma.
For instance, what Triggers Anxiety for us? Nothing is Manifested into Hardcopy Reality without first being Broadcast as Energy – this is the Power of PIAVAing. What Anxiety does is Broadcast Fear and Failure. Without our Conscious Intervention, Fear and Failure could then be Manifest into Form. We could recast our reading as…
Realizing (Eris) that our Life is being Sabotaged by Anxiety (Pluto-Chariklo), Learning to Recognize the Emotions that Facilitate it (Moon-Moira), and Resolving to Prevent it from Creating our Reality (Aletheia-Pallas)

Suppose we don’t Trust our Instincts (Moon-Moira) to tell us what to Eat, so we set Boundaries against the Truth (Alethiea-Pallas) of our own Instincts (Moon) in order to continue to base our Self-Confidence on our Shoulds (Pluto-Chariklo) – till we Realize (Eris) that it’s not Working
So what would we do next? We Respond to our Realization and Expand our Consciousness to include new Possibilities. For instance, if we Lovingly Embrace our Desires when they arise, might we have less Difficulty Moderating them, and perhaps in the process Discover what our Soul Intended to Teach our Ego in the Current Lifetime?
A Trine Bridge (blue lines) shows an Easy Path toward becoming Adept and a Quincunx Bridge (green lines) outlines a Path of Curiosity. Both are alternatives to following the more-Challenging paths of the Squares (red lines), without abdicating the invaluable Lessons to be Learned from the Challenges. Same Destination, very Different Routes.
The position of Stationary Juno itself makes a Trine Bridge across the Confidence/Emotion-Choice axis (Pluto/Chariklo-Moon/Moira), and a Quincunx Bridge across the Realizations/Boundaries axis (Eris-(Aletheia/Pallas). We can Learn faster…
However, most of us are used to thinking of Curiosity as something to Resolve. “I Wonder What…” or “I Wonder How…” is often an invitation or imperative to do research or to think about what sort of Answer we’d get if it was a Question. True Curiosity does not seek Satisfaction; it is more than content to remain Curiosity. Think of it like Awe or Amazement. Like watching a Bird peck its way out of an Egg, or a Butterfly crawling out of a Chrysalis – literally a Miracle.
You’re wide-eyed and your mouth hangs open, but you don’t try to explain what’s happening or why, or to Generalize it into a Judgment, whether Good or Bad. What if we Responded with wide eyes and a slack jaw the next time we heard someone insult us. If they continued to insult us – if we were Safe, of course – we might even have to Laugh. A friend used to say, “Don’t get Even, get Odd.”
Stationary Juno is also Merged with (Conjunct) asteroid Lachesis, which symbolizes Consciously Changing our Timelines. For instance, if we were Living a Timeline of being Bullied, and we succeeded in Changing our Response to it, we would be Consciously Ending that Timeline, or at least Beginning to Consciously End it.
When a planet sits at the Far Midpoint between two other planets that are three Signs apart, a Mjōlnir is formed. Mjōlnir is Norwegian for “Thor’s Hammer,” the usual name for this Configuration. We changed it because Thor’s Hammer is often confused with Ultimate Destruction, when actually it’s more about Indestructibility and Instantaneous Precision – not a sledgehammer but Lightning, or SuddenIllumination. So we associate a Mjōlnir with Epiphanies. When there’s also a fourth planet at the Near Midpoint, the Mjōlnir becomes a MjōlnirKite.
The Mjōlnir Kite reinforces our earlier interpretations of the Juno Station – Epiphanies about our Mission and our Held Emotions (North and South Nodes). We would normally rather Die than Feel our Held Emotions, as our Experiences in Parallel Lives cause us to strongly associate them with Dying. But we can’t proceed toward our Mission in the current Lifetime without first Learning to Embrace our Held Emotions. So the Aletheia-Pallas Conjunction in the Juno-Station Grand Cross is also about Relaxing the Boundaries which keep our Held Emotions at bay.
The Square (red line) in the Mjōlnir is between Neptune (Confusion) and Mercury-Jupiter (Precociousness). The Juno Station is about Growth in Consciousness, and this Square Illuminates the classic impediment to Growth – regarding Confusion as a sign that we need to struggle mightily to Understand! Actually, when we Believe we’ve Understood why we’re Confused, we’ve just Quashed our Growth!
Our Concepts about What Is and What Isn’t Possible form a Cage that we’re trapped inside of. Confusion arises when one of our Limiting Beliefs becomes Open for Questioning. But if we Intellectualize it (Jupiter-Mercury), we’ll invariably Reinforce our Limiting Concepts, because those are the raw material for our thoughts. Like Curiosity, we need to Let Confusion Be. If we regard Confusion as an Emotion, and just Feel it, Embrace it, Enjoy it, our Consciousness will Grow on its own, naturally, without Effort.
Back in the 1960s we’d get stoned (or not) and go Play Street Theater by Challenging “Straights” (as we called folks who looked like they were following the Cultural Party Line) with ideas that we believed might stretch their Concept Set a bit, about the Vietnam War for instance, or just Materialism in general. We undoubtedly weren’t nearly as subtle as we thought we were, but we weren’t ideologically clubbing people either; we were mostly pretty gentle about it.
No one ever beat us up about it; in those days the rednecks were busy beating up Gay People – they somehow thought it was their civic duty – and didn’t much bother Stoners. We called our little Game “Consciousness Expansion.” We met some interesting people that way and made some good friends among those who were either willing to be Stretched, or already were. A few of them were already Expanded waaay beyond where we were! They Expanded our Consciousness, a whole lot.
And that’s exactly what we’re all doing this weekend, Expanding our Consciousness, as asteroid Juno (Growth in Consciousness) Stands Still on 23 December (7pm PST) at 21 Taurus. Since the Ides of October it’s been moving backwards from the first Degree of Gemini, over what’s called the Capricorn Decanate (ten Degrees) of Taurus.
The first ten Degrees of Taurus are about Making a Stand, Establishing a Solid Position, Making Rules That Work, and generally finding Stability. It’s a natural Reaction to Aries, which flies around being totally Intuitive and Breaking all the Rules because Aries serves Creativity. In the second ten Degrees of Taurus, the Virgo Decanate, the Bull has its Ferdinand moment, and looks inward to see if they may be overdoing it. So the middle of Taurus is squishier than the Beginning.
The third Decanate is about Pragmatism – okay, so just exactly which Rules and Postures actually Served our Goals, and which ones didn’t? Which ones are Keepers? Toward the center of this Decanate, in the 25-27 Degree Zone, Taurus meets the Fixed Stars Capulus and Algol, symbolizing from the Patriarchal Perspective Male Violence and Female Rage. We can translate that to Male Servitude and Female Self-Respect, but whichever Perspective we use, late Taurus has to pass this test – do the new Rules we’re considering work in this context?
Asteroid Juno entered the third Decanate of Taurus in mid-August, five weeks after Mr. Kavanaugh was nominated to help decide which laws are Keepers for the USofA. He was approved for this position in early October, a week before Juno turned Retrograde on the Gemini Cusp. Obviously there was a serious eruption of Female Rage and Male Servitude (in this case clustering into the Old Boys Club) while Juno made its initial pass through this Zodiacal territory.
While the Patriarchy may perceive this as a Big Win, I don’t doubt that it will find it has Hell to Pay. And soon. A Retrograde period is a time to Go Inside and give an issue Serious Consideration – What do we think about this? How does it Feel? Does it match our Values and serve our Goals? Can I Adapt to it, or must I go back to the barricades? This being Juno, we’ve all had some big Expansions of Consciousness during this Retreat. And this being the last Decanate of Taurus, we’ve come to some pretty firm Conclusions.
Now we begin to cross this Decanate for the third time, and it’s time for all of our Expanded Consciousness and New Conclusions to come out of the closet. I expect some serious Ego Death for the Patriarchy. Perseus may have Believed that he slew Medusa, but it never works that way. Medusa is a Deep, Indomitable, Very Powerful Current in the Huper Psyche. When it’s forced Underground, like any Unconscious Energy, it seeps up around the Edges in Disguise, and takes Control of our Lives.
Asteroid Juno will cross Capulus, Perseus’s sword, for the third time around 23 January. Juno will cross Algol, the Eye of Medusa, around 31 January. Mark those dates on your calendar, and see what happens.
Greek Mythology describes what happens when we React to Life, Unconsciously. We can pretty much just turn it over to see what it would be like to Respond to Life Consciously. Juno was the Latin name for Hera, Zeus’s wife. Zeus was the poster child for the Patriarchy, as he basically Fucked everything that walked, and many things that didn’t. If he was here today they’d call him a “Force of Nature.”
Hera/Juno meanwhile had a strong Jealous streak, and tended to turn her Rivals to Stone. The #MeToo Movement these days is instead throwing Stones where they belong, at the self-proclaimed “Forces of Nature,” rather than at their fellow Goddesses. That’s a big Expansion of Consciousness. On a deeper level, acrimonious Jealousy is a symptom of Merging, of Codependence. Juno could easily have just gone after Ulysses, or Paris, or Hercules, but she didn’t want to surrender her Privilege as Queen of the Garden.
These kinds of dilemmas aren’t foreign to any of us, though hopefully in much less Dramatic fashion. But we’ve Learned to Avoid Reactions that we subsequently Regret, or that just perpetuate the Pain that Abandonment gives us. For instance, one good way to shift from Reaction to Response, is to Realize that we all have Abandonment issues within us. So instead of Blaming that so-and-so for Hurting us, we can instead say to ourself, “Oh, there’s my Abandonment again!” and use the Opportunity to study it more.
It’s an Ancient Emotion, as in many situations, Banishment meant Death, so it behooves us to study it well. Through much of recent Herstory, Genders were not Equally regarded, and when a Woman was Abandoned, it often meant Death or worse. Men have no less Abandonment in them, as their missteps often meant Death as well; that’s why they love Hierarchies. It gives them an Alpha to follow, and if they Play that Game right they may be able to Avoid being Abandoned themselves. It’s tricky, sucking up to your Alpha while somehow showing your Gammas that, while they aren’t as good as you, they can Get Ahead by regarding you as their Beta.
Making all these Abandonment and Loyalty and Fealty Games so Public, so we can get Conscious of them and Learn to Play Games that are more Collaborative and Constructive and Productive, more Fun, and more in line with our Goals and Values, is a Public Service being offered by the Dramas in the Antichrist’s tawdry White House. The Circus in London and Dublin, and that place with the Sprouts, is probably doing the same, but apparently at a more sophisticated level. More Shakespeare, less Melville.
Pholus and Quaoar (Responding to our Survival Instincts) have been parked on the cusp of Capricorn (Just Fix It) for a while now, and of course the Sun’s annual passage into Capricorn defines the December Solstice, which is widely understood to be the Beginning of the New Year. So while the Pholus-Quaoar combo isn’t new, we might expect threats to our Survival to increase again as we move into 2019. Not a big surprise considering the news.
With our usual three Degrees of Sensitivity, Pholus-Quaoar has been prominent in Solstice charts since December 2016, and will continue to be through December 2019 – including the October 2020 US election, but not the 2020 December Solstice. If we’re optimistic, we might propose that everyone will be scared enough to rekindle their common sense by October 2020, allowing 2021 to be a bit more stable.
Buuutttt, a number of other major Energies shift by the 2020 Solstice, such as Trump’s War-to-Prevent-US-Regime-Change (Saturn Conjunct Pluto, 12 January 2020 in 23 Capricorn, “A soldier receiving two awards for bravery in combat”) and the Beginning of the Digital Age in earnest (Jupiter Conjunct Saturn in Air, 21 December 2020 in 1 Aquarius, “An old adobe mission in California” – Mission Santa Clara de Asis no doubt).
It’s an interesting “coincidence” that it was these very Spanish Missions that disrupted the well-managed Sustainable Landscapes that the original Quaoar hisself provided the template for. Last month at the airport we met a barely-survived Marine veteran of Reagan’s War-to-Prevent-US-Regime-Change, against that Perennial Global Threat Grenada. Thirty-five years later his war wounds were foremost in his introduction to strangers, and given their extent, that’s not surprising. Maybe the next Trumped-Up War will be against Andorra or San Marino or Uruguay or some other dastardly threat to Global Peace.
The Guardian Brexit Briefing recently put it this way…
“Certain parts of American society now feel a sort of exhausted solidarity with the UK, a relief that they are not the only ones whose country is a raging dumpster fire. A new sort of special relationship has been forged between the UK and the US; we are united by the fact that we have become global jokes.”
Beginnings and Endings often occur together. In the case of the December Solstice chart, the dominant Configuration is a Nodal Grand Cross in 29-30 Degrees of the Cardinal Signs – we’re Finishing Up a Creative phase (Cardinal Signs), and about to Begin a Stabilizing phase (Fixed Signs). We can productively read this as Finishing Up a Creative Destruction phase, and Beginning to Stabilize what we plan to Build upon the Ruins. Ms. May and Mr. Antichrist, and their respective MPs and lackeys, have done a bang-up job of Creative Destruction, but their Fun may be coming to an End.

Most of the Cusps (Endings/Beginnings) from Scorpio to Aries are occupied, while only one of the other six Cusps is inhabited, which clearly makes Varuna-North Node (Merging of our Mission and our Life Force) at the end of Cancer the Standout Pole. Thus many other, less Central, segments of our Lives may be Falling Away, as we focus on what’s Most Important. Varuna-North Node heads a Diamond Star, a Self-Resolving Challenge, so we can sort of Let That Take Care of Itself – where “That” is Allowing the Life Force to Lead our Life rather than our Shoulds and Gottas.
The other corners of the Grand Cross include Uranus, which turns Direct 6 January and returns to Taurus “for good” (for seven years that is) at the Ides of May. Our Soul will return to the task of Descending into our Physical Vehicle. If we’re hanging by our heels so we can see the World more clearly, this will look a lot like Ascension.
And Veritas (Truth) enters Scorpio (Fearlessness) just an hour before the Solstice. This is potentially a Big Deal, as Scorpio is compelled to Get to the Bottom of Things. Some Fearless Truthiness wouldn’t hurt the Planet at all, though Veritas is only in Scorpio till May, then again from July through November. But it could start a trend. And on 3 October next year Veritas Initiates Aletheia (Truth) at 18 Scorpio, “A path through woods brilliant with multicolored splendor.” So there may be hope.
Of course the Nodes move Retrograde, so they’re really just Beginning their butt-first sashay through Cancer and Capricorn, rather than Ending it. That’s okay, Degrees in Tropical astrology don’t represent arcminutes in the sky, they represent Days in the Year, Days after the March Equinox that defines the Cusp of Aries. And most of us most of the time live Time forwards, or at least we think we do. So 29 Cancer is still the End of Cancer, even if Time in this case is butt-first.
The heavier lines in the chart show the Full Moon that follows the Solstice by less than a Day/Degree. The orange lines show the Mjōlnir Kite (Epiphanies) that dominates this chart. Like Varuna-North Node, the Moon is an outlier that focuses the Energy of the crowd on the other side of the Zodiac. So we can expect from it Significant Insights into how we might Respond to our Survival Instinct most productively.
A strong hint about that resides in the Square (red line) that like a bow holds the Tension for the arrow. That’s Venus (Values) Square Lilith (Self-Sovereignty). Our Values are often slanted toward our Heart’s Truth, but usually heavily overlain with Programming from someone else, which was likely to be more their own Programming than their own Heart’s Truth. In other words our Values can get pretty stilted. So we’re likely to Discover places where our own Values are Sabotaging our Self-Sovereignty.
It may require some Adjustments to your Lifestyle, but in the long run you won’t regret Letting your Values Change instead of continuing to Compromise your Sovereignty. Doing that is also very likely to guide you toward the Life Force, help you Respond to your Survival Instincts, and lay the groundwork for your New Life in 5D!

Voids and Holes (Wholes) are the complements of Matter, teleologically and epistemologically necessary to Complete a Material World seen through Duality. I think that’s why Holes and Wholes are homophones. As kids we believed for a while that if not for the Moon radiating Cold, the World would get too Hot from the Sun. Till we Learned that Cold is the relative Absence of Heat, the way Fear is the Absence of Love and Small is the Absence of Larger.
Some elements of our Language are Unitary rather than Dual. Since Physics defines Heat as the degree of Movement of elementary particles, it doesn’t define an Anti-Heat. There’s Movement and there’s Rest. In these cases, the Limit – the Absolute – is usually unreachable, only Approachable. As we Approach the Limit we can only Adjust our Scale to measure Smaller and Smaller. So with a Black Whole, where Gravity Approaches Infinity, we as Matter lose all Opportunity for Perspective. We have to travel out of our Body to Experience it.
With Dualities it helps to use Circular or Spherical or Cyclical Scales, where if you go far enough toward North you end up going South, or far enough toward Absolute and we end up Relative. The same might be true of Black Wholes – if we fell into one we might end up Knowing the Incredible Lightness of Being, as our Material Vehicle would be so torn apart that the only thing left would be Spirit.

The Vacancy in any Almost-Complete Configuration becomes one of the Most Important, if not The Most Important, indicator in the chart. Cancer 19 is “A priest performing a Marriage Ceremony.” So to Complete our Liberation from Patterns, we need a Ritual – a Pattern whose Power lies in its Repetition – and we need to break out of Separation and Duality into Unity. Gollum couldn’t have come up with a more twisted Riddle. The message is that what we need to do to graduate into 5D is to Recognize and Embrace our own Anxiety and Discontent, our own Resistance to What Is. It’s not about Changing 3D.

“Thank you as always for your excellent and enlightening insights – this week and always! I wanted to share a strange thing that happened recently, as it pertains to the alignments this week. I’m accustomed to following my natal and transiting chart regularly, and my own knowledge and awareness is constantly growing, much to which is to your credit.
“Roughly two years ago, and what a year 2016 was, I was living in London where I’d been relocated for work. There were many absolutely awful occurrences over the course of my time there – on the global and personal scale – but what totally upended my entire time there and ultimately my entire career was a seemingly fated freak accident that occurred immediately after I landed back in London, on January 6, 2017.
“I tripped on a cobble stone, on Abbey Road no less, and split my knee open end to end in a deep gash that required 23 stitches, put an air bubble in the joint itself, and required 2 follow-up surgeries, the second of which I had when I returned home to the states. I ended up leaving that job and I’ve been in a very odd state of flux in the meantime, trying to ground myself.
“What is odd is that two nights ago, December 9, I was walking home carrying a bag of groceries, and very intently thinking about the knee injury and how long the recovery took and how much I needed to push forward with exercising more – with everything, really. Not even within 60 seconds of this very distinct thought process, I tripped into an open pothole in my street – flailing for what felt like an eternity before slamming down EXACTLY on the direct spot that my January 6 injury hit, directly on the most scarred part where the surgeon had removed a lot of damaged tissue.
“I could hardly believe it, or that it was mere coincidence, so as soon as I limped back inside I looked at my natal/transiting chart for Jan 6 2017 and that day’s chart of Dec 9. I know Capricorn rules knees (and career) and thus Saturn as ruler carries those influences as well. On that January day, the sun and pluto were in close conjunction in Cap on my descendant, as well as transiting Saturn on my natal Karma (in Sag but house ruled by Cap).
“BZ has been fascinating me lately and I really appreciate your latest interpretations of meaning. Currently as you know the moon (as of the 9th anyway) Saturn, BZ and Karma are all right around the exact positions they were in Jan 2017. For a while during the 1980s I was doing “content-free” readings. I’d make no attempt to interpret or predict what was going on, I’d just tell clients that their Experience of the next month would be similar to their Experience of such-and-such a month in the past (when their Transits were similar). One client responded that they didn’t think this was going to be possible, because at the earlier time she was busy Attending to her infant daughter, and she was now beyond child-bearing age. A month later she wrote back to say that she was busy Attending to her infant granddaughter because her daughter had been unexpectedly unable to do so.

♥ The first thing that pops to mind for me is how important it is to be Conscious of what we’re thinking about, so that we’re able to interrupt the thinking process by saying “Cancel, Neutralize, Update” whenever we catch ourself thinking about any result we don’t Want.

♥ I think this is the most important Lesson any of us have to Learn, that Karma is Dead. Only its Echo Lives in our Expectations and Fears, where we Unconsciously Choose to perpetuate it, until we Realize…
“Wait a minute, I Create My Own Reality.”
That statement becomes indisputably true when we Realize that “I” doesn’t mean our Ego, it means our Complete Entity, our Soul if we can use the word that way, to mean the Full Spiritual, Emotional, intellectual, Physical, Egoic Entity that we are. As Popeye would say, “I Yam What I Yam.”
One way to Rectify Ego with Creating-Our-Own-Reality, is to refer to the part of us which is Disconnected from our Sense of Self, as “Unconscious.” We postulate that there is an Unrecognized part of ourself that Wants our Attention, and is desperate enough for it that it’s willing to Hurt us to get it. Then our Path is clearly Getting to Know this Stranger! We might use a Gestalt technique, with two chairs, or we might just Recognize that Hey, this is the Unconscious, which means that we don’t have Conscious access to it, so we have to use PIAVA techniques (https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/category/manifestation/piava-review/).
♥ Since we’ve Identified a place where we’re a Victim, we could even Poor-Sweetheart ourself – “You Poor Sweetheart, you’re unintentionally Hurting your knees, aren’t you.” It was Chiron that was Lit Up on 9 December after all, Chiron the Adept at Making us Aware of our Victim places, the places where we Give Away our Power. ♥ Just to take this a step further, our approach to the Unconscious more or less follows Jung’s Perspective, that the Unconscious (not Subconscious) represents the rest of our Wholeness, beckoning to us. But I’ve been reading RJ Stewart lately, an expert on Irish/Celtic Mythology. The Celts may be the remnant of Atlantean Wisdom that survived in Europe.
RJ tells us that there’s no such thing as the “Unconscious,” there’s only Other Realities in other Dimensions. If we intersect the notion of {Karma as information left over from Past Lives} with the notion that {All There Is Is Now}, this is an obvious introduction to Parallel Lives.
But this kind of turns our notion of Karma on it’s head. It’s as if what was Karma becomes Bleedthrough, where one of “our” (not the Ego but the Complete Entity) Parallel Lifetimes is providing Riddles to the Lifetime that we usually Believe is the only one we’re Living, Riddles that will help us toward Integration. As if our Complete Entity is Weaving a Complex Conspiracy to make each of us parts or spawn of Itself, Conscious of as much of us as possible.
So our Karma becomes our Introduction to the Rest of Ourself. Of course, we usually interpret Karma (the South Node) as our Held Emotions, those we’d rather Die (ie, Ego Death) than Feel, and which obscure the Hidden Skills we need to Achieve our Mission in the Lifetime. If our Ultimate Mission is Integration with our other Parallels, then this fits perfectly.
We also usually think of our current Lifetime as a Courtesy Mission to help our Host Planet deal with an Obstacle to its own Integration (though it’s presumptuous to assume a planet isn’t already Integrated). Since our current Lifetime is a cell in the Consciousness of the Planet – we aren’t Separate – Expansion of our own Consciousness is actually a small Integration for the Planet.
♥ Finally, we need a short note about Moira. The Greek Tragedies describe what happens when we’re not Mindful of what’s going on around us. They’re written to make us Feel Trapped in our Fate, but Conscious Awareness – of our Karma – turns our Fate into Choice. So the prominence of Moira is a Tell that we’re ready to Transcend the Victimhood of Karma.
A reader writes to say their Sun is at 8 Capricorn. We’ve been writing about 8-11 Capricorn in earlier Wow articles (especially https://astrobuss.wordpress.com/2018/12/08/wow-vi/), because asteroids Karma (Self-Sabotaging Habits) and BZ509 (Transcendence), Saturn (The Most Important Thing), and dwarf planet Hylonome (Self-Sovereignty) have all been jammed up in that Zone. Assuming that our reader is rounding up like we all should be…
That is, planets at 7:00 through 7:59 of any Sign are in the 8th Degree or that Sign (such as 8 Capricorn or Capricorn 8), while planets at 8:00 through 8:59 are in the 9th Degree, etc. This makes sense when you realize that planets in 0:00 through 0:59 of a Sign are in the 1st Degree of that Sign.
…then most of this Energy will already have passed for our reader. Since we focus on Interpretation rather than Prediction, that’s no problem for us, and may be a relief for our reader, depending on how pleasant or unpleasant their recent Experience has been. If our reader feels like they have missed an Opportunity, they need to Poor-Sweetheart themself about that immediately. There are no Missed Opportunities, only Lessons Learned, and Learning them after the fact is just as good or better than Learning them mid-stream.
Our natal Sun, astrologically, indicates our Essence. So looking just at “Transiting” (that means “in the sky now,” as opposed to “natal,” which means when you were born – almost everything we talk about here is Transiting) Saturn, The Most Important Thing for our reader is that they be True to their Essence. That usually means dropping all of our Social Conditioning and Programming and other places where we aren’t Speaking and Acting our Truth.
For someone with “Nice Disease” (the need to be Nice all of the time), this idea is usually Horrifying. So maybe our reader has been having a hard time continuing to suppress Capricorn’s natural tendency to dispense Advice more than Expressing Compassion. Capricorn is about Just Fix It, and when Capricorn knows how to Fix It, it can have little patience for excuses, even if Capricorn’s method of Fixing It doesn’t at all apply to the person or Sign they’re talking to. Capricorn Lives in a Material World; most of the other Signs Live in an Emotional or Spiritual or Intellectual World.
We’re talking about Signs here, not people. Individual people have lots of planets in many Signs, so are always much more multidimensional than the characteristics of just one Sign, even if it’s their Sun Sign.
Capricorn/Just Fix It is a very valuable Sign/Principle to have handy when you’re working to solve a Material problem, so Capricorn’s Advice is indispensable. When Pisces describes a problem, though, it’s (again, we’re talking about Signs, not people) usually an Emotional issue (even if it’s described in Material terms), so Material advice feels to Pisces like it hasn’t been heard. Note that this can happen even within one person – if you have Sun in Capricorn and Moon in Pisces, and your Sun for some reason thinks it has all the Answers, your Moon is going to be the odd one out, and your own Happiness and Balance will Suffer.
So looking only at Transiting Saturn, our reader may have recently had a hard time suppressing their Just Fix It tendencies. Of course, if our reader is Self-Aware, they would probably have had some Aha moments about how they Judge themself for not Just Fixing It every time some issue comes up again. For instance, our Karmic issues don’t usually respond to just being turned with a wrench, they need a lot more than that, such as Opening to Held Emotions and the resulting Ego Deaths, which can Deconstruct the very Infrastructure that Capricorn is so proud of building.
So Transiting Saturn-asteroid Karma means that The Most Important Thing is Attending to our Self-Sabotaging Patterns, and Capricorn by itself may not have all of the Tools necessary to do that. So our reader may have recently found themself Integrating diverse elements of their Persona.
When we factor in dwarf planet Hylonome, the need to jettison False Personae gets much more intense. Hylonome can follow a False Path even into Death if we allow it to operate without our Conscious Awareness. Our reader has survived to write to us, so we know that didn’t happen. But they may have had some difficult moments saying NO! to other people with whom they’ve been Merged, or they may have had to bail themselves out of difficult situations where they hadn’t said NO! earlier on.
Then there’s asteroid BZ509, or Transcendence, which can Feel Ecstatic or like someone’s ripping out a finger by its roots. So our reader almost certainly Transcended some elements of these Conundrums at the intersection of Just Fix It, Self-Sabotage, Self-Abandonment, Priorities, and the Material World. And they would have Learned a great deal about these Complexities, probably had some Powerful Epiphanies. And in the process, probably Suffered to one degree or another, since the Convergence of so many issues is intensely Confusing, and few of us Remember immediately that Confusion is the first stage of Growth, and Relax into it.
All of which, by the way, is a good definition, albeit by example, of how an astrological Stellium (group of three or more planets in one place) works its Magic and Misery upon us. And the rest of us, even if we don’t have any planets near 8-11 Capricorn, have probably felt this Conglomeration to some degree. Note too that the neighborhoods of 8-11 Aries, Cancer, and Libra will also be activated whenever 8-11 Capricorn is Lit Up, so most of us Experienced some portion of these Confusions.

So if we Learned to always be Nice at age 6, then our Opportunity to be otherwise (such as Honest) will be frozen at the first-grade level. That’s part of the Horror we Experience at having to Open up to Repressed parts of our Persona.
Not to worry. We’ll be very clumsy at first being, eg, Honest instead of Nice, but our Niceness will still be their, so we’ll very quickly come up to speed on Learning to be Nice while being Honest. They aren’t after all mutually exclusive, they just require a bit of finesse to combine, and if you’ve been Nice all your Life, that finesse will come quickly. The other Yin Gate in the Chiron-Station chart centers on the Opposition between Mercury (Awareness) and Sedna-Lachesis (Reframing Fear). This is important for many of us because Sedna is Stationary soon (first week of February) at 27 Taurus. The Star Algol, generally considered the most malign of Stars, sits at 27 Taurus, so a casual reading would likely warn of Catastrophe – and given the state of Humanity’s Relationship to its Home Planet, Catastrophe wouldn’t be a big surprise.
Catastrophe for the Patriarchy, that is. Algol symbolizes Female Power, Anger, and Sexuality. Lachesis is about scheduling Timelines, and in the context of Consciousness (Awareness), it represents Choosing to End a Self-Sabotaging Timeline. This obsolete Timeline could be about Women Living in Fear and subjugation.
The Paradox is that we don’t really Believe that we have the Power to just End our Timelines unilaterally. As long we perceive ourselves as Victims or potential Victims of large-scale processes and events such as Global Warming or rising Fascism, and we understandably don’t believe we can turn those around by ourselves, we’re stuck. What we don’t Realize is that we do have the Power to Change how these Patterns impact us Personally – by PIAVAing just that.
We might feel Selfish to Protect ourself from global Bummers from which many others Suffer greatly. But the more people refuse to accept those Patterns as “just the way it is,” the faster the Global Energy will Change. Our Self-Protection is one of the Strongest ways we have to End the Timelines. And just because we are Protected, doesn’t mean we can’t take Actions to facilitate Ending the Patterns on the Global scale.
We’ve said before that Passion and Neutrality are not mutually exclusive, though they appear to be just that to the Victim Ego. In fact, when we Act from Neutrality we can be much more Effective than when we Act purely from unbridled Passion. That may be the primary Paradox that we’re Learning here.
This second Yin Gate is about Awareness that Timelines of Fear can be Ended Consciously. If we Fear what we don’t Understand, and if we don’t Believe we can Change what we don’t Understand – both common characteristics of the Dualistic mind – then we have no Power over Fear.
