Bummers Rising

Well, if last week’s Total Solar Eclipse hasn’t been “fun” enough, we’re coming up on a pretty severe challenge over the next few days, if you aren’t already in the thick of it.  Just after 10am PDT on 18 March, we’ve an event that could be painful, even though it’s exactly what we need just now.

Chiron Initiates the South Node, at 22 Pisces, “A prophet carrying tablets of the new law is walking down the slopes of Mount Sinai.”  That’s a bit profound.

There are several things to remember…

  • Stop to verify that your Fear or Pain or Discouragement is actually arising from the Present Moment, rather than from Memories of similar Experiences.  
  • Whether it’s Present Moment or not, make yourself Safe as best you can before you do anything else.
  • Remember Humpty-Dumpty?  When your Personality fragments, you have to stop and put it back together again.  If you try to accomplish anything else with a fragmented Personality, you’ll just screw everything up.  Overwhelm is always Priority Number One.
  • You can reduce Overwhelm by Tapping – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzVd6Ww0as4 .  Even if you “don’t Believe” in Tapping, measure your Fear or Pain on a scale of 1 to 10, then try Tapping, then measure again, and repeat several times.  Tap on phrases like “I am Scared” or “My Belly Hurts” or “I am Discouraged” or “I’m so Angry I could spit!”  Tapping does work to bring you back into the Present Moment, and if it doesn’t work for you, it’s probably because you haven’t practiced with it enough.
  •  Next Ask yourself exactly what you’re Feeling now, and where it occurs in your Body.  Switch your Identification, from the likes of “I am Scared” to “I Feel Scared,” from the likes of “My Belly hurts” to “I Feel Pain in my Belly,” from “I am Discouraged” to “I Feel Discouraged,” and from “I am Angry” to “I Feel Angry.”  
  • If you can do it comfortably, put your hand or hands on your Body where you’ve identified the Discomfort to reside.  Notice whether you’re Tense or Relaxed around that place, and Relax it.  Soften it, Warm it.  Fear is hard and cold; Love is Soft and Warm.  You want to be Loving with your Body, especially when it’s in Discomfort.
  • Talk to yourself, out loud if you can.  “You poor Sweetheart, you were really Feeling scared, weren’t you.”  Or “You poor Sweetheart, your Belly still Hurts, doesn’t it.”  Or “You poor Sweetheart, you feel Discouraged, don’t you.”  Or “You poor Sweetheart, you really Felt Angry, didn’t you.”  Past tense or present, depending on which is true.  You can make it a statement or a question.  If you make it a question, wait for an answer.  It may not be verbal.  If you don’t get an answer, accept the one you’ve already rejected.  If your Body gave you an answer that allows you to be more accurate, modify your Self-Empathy.  
  • Spend a few minutes Comforting yourself, put your arms around yourself, maybe rocking, maybe curling up under a blanket.
  • Now take inventory.  
    • Are you feeling Healed?  Surprised that the Demons seem to be banished?  Shell-shock is appropriate.  We were Expecting Trauma, and found Compassion.  Give yourself a little more Space to be Gentle with yourself, then return to what’s left of your Life.  I say “what’s left” because it will be Changed.  For the Better.  It’ll take a while to see all the details, so go softly.  But go ahead.
    • Not Feeling Healed?  Make yourself Warm and Comfortable.  Scan your Body for Discomfort again.  Put your hands on the Discomfort, Warm it, Soften it.  Move your Attention into the center of it.  If it moves, follow it.  If it Resists your Attention, if it’s surrounded by fuzz and fog, persist.  Just gently push your Attention into the Edge of it.  When your Attention wanders, bring it back.  Keep pushing till you find its center, or till it moves.  If that takes a week, so be it.  It’s The Most Important Thing you’re doing.

This astroevent will reveal many of the places that we’ll be confronting between now and June, our Held Emotions and the Orphaned parts of ourselves, places that need our Love, the sooner the better.  The longer we push them away, the harder they’ll be to reclaim.   

Come June Eris will Initiate Uranus, bringing us in touch with our Orphaned Selves.  It will be a Soul Retrieval or a Nightmare, depending on how much practice we have Embracing what we’re in the habit of Rejecting.  “Blown inward by the Wind, the curtains of an open window take the shape of a Cornucopia” (24 Aries).  Will this represent Abundance, or a Chimera of the Wind?  That’ll depend on our readiness to Receive.  It’ll help to remember that Abundance means Having enough to Share.

Next week it gets heavier, as Saturn, Ixion, and Pholus all turn Retrograde within a few days.  Saturn-Ixion will tell us that The Most Important Thing is Loving our Abandoned Genius back into our Identity, while Pholus will Ask us to Take More Responsibility for this than we otherwise would have.  Remember that Responsibility looks to the Future to improve Outcomes, while Blame looks to the Past to try to figure out “who did it.”  

The Ixion Station is 25 Sagittarius at 5am PDT on 24 March, the Saturn Station in 17 Sagittarius at 3am PDT on 25 March, and the Pholus Station in 28 Sagittarius at half past 5am PDT 26 March.  Remember that Sagittarius is about Letting Go.  The Pholus Station on the Galactic Center reminds us however that when Gaia was replaced by Pi in 2012 as the overlighting Goddess of our current Home Planet, the Hupeople were cautioned that they need to start Taking Full Responsibility for their negativity, greed, and destructiveness.

While that’s going on, Chiron Initiates Ceres, still in 22 Pisces, at 5am PDT 24 March, “A prophet carrying tablets of the new law is walking down the slopes of Mount Sinai.”  The Ceres-Chiron Cycle is about making permanent our habitual Response to Discouragement – we recommend the process we described above.  When we bring home the Orphans that have been banished behind our Limiting Beliefs, the Law changes.

    Come on, alchemist, really… why would you NOT read this first thing this morning. Do you actually enjoy this pain and panic, having gone through this entire day to exhaust and overextend yourself. gaaaaahhhhh …. when will you get this!! Ok. got that out. So so incredibly sad and overwhelmed tonight. Chiron tearing me to shreds… nothing more need to be said, nor “responded”… simple…rinse and repeat…. got it astrobuss, got it universe.

    We find a cabin in the wilderness, and cherish the shelter. Then we get hungry, or bored, and venture out into the wilderness again – and get lost. So we search, and wander, and find the cabin again! Glory! We cherish the shelter. Then we get hungry or bored… And eventually we learn the whole territory pretty well. Just the way Life works.
